This was a gift for my daughter who has balance and coodination issues and cant ride a 2 wheeled bike. The fenders are very flimsy and so are the brakes. The frame is very solid. It will do for her who will ride the bike occasionally for recreation. I would not recommend it for someone who is going to be doing alot of riding. The price was right for what we wanted it for but would have liked to been able to have it come with all parts and have the fenders and brakes better quality.』

(Better than walking) 『I am disappointed with this product. I first purchased mine July 5 and had to return it because it broke within a week of riding it. I purchased a replacement 3 days later. When I received this new one, the box was in perfect condition every part was wrapped nicely, but to my surprise a fender (even though it was wrapped perfectly in foam strips and cardboard surrounding them) had a large dent and paint had been scrapped off. How did that happen? Well, after finding this I contacted Pacific Cycles and requested a replacement fender. I am still waiting... it has been almost 2 months. I called them again and I was told there were 21 on back order and 100 of them coming in, the funny thing about that is, I was told that they wouldn't receive the fenders for another month or two or maybe longer. So, to make a long story short, I will NEVER again purchase a bicycle or tricycle from Pacific Cycles (Schwinn).
There are many positive reviews about this tricycle, but I personally believe that the quality of this trike doesn't justify the price. This trike should be sold for as little as $99.99.
P.s. If you experience a noise near the rear of the trike, it is due to poor design and craftsman ship. as there are two very large spacers between the bearings (that the drive shaft passes through) that are detached and move about while you ride. Pacific Cycles recommend that you oil and tighten the outer bolts of the drive shaft a few time and that will fix the noise. Wrong! to fix this have someone weld some inserts in the hubs of the rear end so that the bearings don't push through (yes it is too much work).』

(Adult tricycle good value) 『We found the box rather torn up upon delivery but accepted as we were eager to get the bike. It took 2 of us to put it together in a few hours but had to go to a bike shop and buy a bigger, more comfortable seat, as well as 3 nuts and bolts that were missing. It had some deep scratches on it where some of the parts had rubbed during shipping though it appeared to have many layers of "padding" to try to avoid that happening. I was able to find a very close color of spray paint at the hardware store. We found on-line a detailed description of how to adjust the spokes and I was off on the roads! Its fun to ride around my community, where almost everyone rides! And my 290lb. husband fit on it fine also.』

With it, I have done countless trail/road side repairs for myself, friends, and even other cyclist I met with mechanical problems. I even fully assembled a new bike for my neighbor using just this tool when I had loaned my toolbox to my brother. Very simply, this tool has everything you will need for just about any repair on the bike, including a fantastic chain tool and built in tire levers. At this price, it is a crazy deal, IMO the best value around.
I do have a specific comment regarding the user who wrote a review stating he broke the plastic under what he considers a "reasonable" load and posted his gory picture. The tool casing is not plastic, it is metal. The only plastic part on this tool is the removable tire lever. You sheered the metal, at a reinforced area of the tool. The is no way that happened under "reasonable" force - you would have to be inappropriately using the tool as a pry-bar or trying to break a siezed bolt with too short a lever to accomplish something like that. It is irresponsible and unfair to rate the product poorly because of your own misuse. Amazon should remove that photo.』
(Great tool) 『I bought this tool a few years ago and so far it's been very good to have around. It includes a philips and flat screwdriver, a chain tool, two tire levers, and assorted sized hex wrenches (I haven't ever found a bike with a hex bolt that this tool didn't have the correct size for)
Also, since really this tool is just held together by two hex bolts, you can actually adjust how easily the tools pop out (the size you need to adjust it with is actually on a standalone hex wrench on one of the tire levers), which I find useful on occasion. (I'll make it really tight when I'm using it as a screwdriver so it doesn't flop around)
The only downside I've really found from this tool are the tire levers, they're much more flimsy than your typical stand-alone tire levers, and as such I broke one the first time I tried changing a tire with them. They're definitely viable, you just need to be a little more gentle with them.
With the compact size, low price, and medium-high utility I'd say it's hard to beat.
edit: You know, I never really noticed the housing of this tool is made out of plastic until I read the review from the guy who had his break, not just the black tire levers on the sides, but the outside peices that the levers rest in. So, at the risk of personal injury, I squeezed the tool as hard as I could, with no result. Take that for what you will, maybe the other guy just got a lemon?』
(Great Take Along Tool) 『This tool has everything you need to repair your bike, and is in a nice, light ergonomic package. ive used everything and it seems to be holding up. this is great for the trail but i wouldn't use it for home repairs. although you could use it at home or where ever(and i do because im too lazy to get my tools), the housing is plastic and the more you use it and abuse it, the earlier it'll break. ive been using it for a few weeks now and im noticing some scratches on the plastic and some rubs on the tire lever. this is from me dropping the tool, stepping on it or whatever. ive also noticed when applying lots of torc on wrenches(more than you usually use, like a stuck bolt or something), the housing does flex a little bit.
All in all though the tool is holding up great considering everything ive done to it. just be careful with it. try not to use it on stuck bolts(although in a pinch it will work but this tool is not meant for things like that) and dont drop or step on it. Originally i though it would be better if this thing was all metal but then it wouldnt be doing its job of staying cheap and light. for these reasons its great for the trail but not so good for everyday use. It'll work everyday but after a lot of abuse eventually you'll break it. This it a tool for the trail: light+small+Cheap+does its job=5 stars.』

I bought this for my occasional commute at night around the city of Los Angeles and did not expect it to fully light the road but expected to light the darker spots. It would seem that it is barley noticeable on the road even in some of the dark areas but is definitely good enough for the occasional street with no street lights at least. It is however bright enough to light up the road directly in front of you ( maybe 5 feet ) so at least I can avoid pot holes in the like. The battery life seems great and people on the road definitely notice me more with this light and in that respect works great. I purchased this light for close to $30 and feel that it was more of a $20 light the build quality is great and I love the fact that it can come off the bike so that I don't have to worry about anyone steeling it, and it makes a great flashlight. Another thing I have noticed is that it is much smaller in person then it appears to be as displayed by amazon, I have posted a picture to show this.
If I knew how this light performed before hand I might have gone with a different light like maybe one of the 1 watt planet bike ones. If all you need is for people to see you this will probably work fine. If you want something that will light up the road so that you can see everything on it even in the darker areas this is not the light for you.』
(Easy install, work fine) 『I've had this headlight for a few weeks now. At first I was riding in dawn hours, so I used it as a flahing light to notify drivers. Now that it stays dark later in the morning, I'm using it as a headlight to help see the road. It isn't super bright, but it seems to be bright enough to light up a bit of road in front of me. I'm riding in the city, so I just need supplemental light, and it works fine for that. The install was super easy and I like being able to pull the light off quickly and clip it back on with no problem.』
(Best light you'll find for the price) 『This is a WONDERFUL light. I have the Planet Bike 1 Watt Blaze, which is a good light, but this seems to be much brighter, has good side visibility, a longer run time, and a much better mount. I don't know why it's not as popular as the Blaze.
Add a Blaze and a Blinky Superflash Planet Bike Blaze 1-Watt Headlight and Suplerflash Taillight Combination Bicycle Light Set to this Cateye, along with a reflexive vest, and, as long as you're not racing, you'll see and be seen just fine on the darkest road. I think a 1/2 watt Blaze Planet Bike Blaze 1/2-Watt LED Bicycle Light with Helmet and QuickCam Mounts mounted on your helmet might be a good combo, too.

The phillips screw head is pretty solid, but the flathead screwdriver narrows too much to be of much use for most screws. Additionally, the wrenches are supposed to lock in place but if you put any pressure on them they escape the lock and fold. That means if you have a tight nut, you really can't get it loose. I end up pulling out my ratchet kit every time for serious jobs. Still, this is handy to have on the road, and every once in a while comes in real handy.』

(Good saddle but could be better) 『This saddle has a great shape and feels fine for a few miles, but it soon becomes apparent that it could use softer padding. Also, the suspension springs are uncoated and squeak and groan as you pedal. I am of average weight so I know I am not overloading it. I removed the springs and reinstalled them using nylon washers under the nuts. This helped some with the noise. I like a good wide seat and this one fills the bill in that regard, but it needs reengineering to be the best.』
