Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (great toy for plane lovers) 『Purchased this for my son who is very in to airplanes. We also got one for his best buddy (both are 3 years old) and they love to "fly" them around on the play ground together and race each other. I love the size of these planes as they are great to travel with, good for restaurants and my son even at times sleeps with his. They are very good quality and a great price too! Great little toy.』 『Hot Wings F/A-18 Hornet Blue Angels』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Miss Buffy Summers and her escort Angel at the 1999 Sunnydale High Prom) 『The one moment in the seven season run of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" that still consistently brings tears to my eyes comes at the climax of "The Prom." Buffy has been surprised by Jonathan who is handing out the Senior Awards and explains that there is a new category because there were a lot of write-in votes. Because Sunnydale High School's graduating class of '99 has the lowest mortality rate of any class in the school's history, Buffy is given an award for being the "Class Protector." The Prom had been threatened by Tucker's Hell Hounds, but Buffy promised her friends one night of ordinary high school happiness before the Mayor's Ascension at Graduation. Buffy shows off her "little toy surprise" to Giles, who says, "I had no idea that children en masse could be gracious." As Buffy points out "Every now and then, people surprise you," Giles looks over her shoulder. Taking her award out of his hands he agrees, "Every now and then," and Buffy turns around to see Angel walking into the Prom wearing a tux. It is just for the night, and it does not mean that they have a future together, but it is enough. Add to the mix the Sundays covering the Rolling Stones song "Wild Horses," which has the pitch perfect line to describe the star-crossed lovers of "Let's do some living after we've died," and you have what I consider to be the ultimate Buffy tear-jerker moment.
Commemorating that touching moment from "The Prom" we have the first packaged set of Buffy and Angel figures. The Buffy figure is noticeable shorter than that of Angel, which is how it should be, but the Angel figure is also a bit shorter than other Angel figures. In terms of looking like Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz these sculpts are above average, although the look on their lips is a tad too dour for my taste. The two accessories for this set are Buffy's "Class Protector" umbrella and what appears to my untutored eye as a knitted purse that is a slightly darker shade than Buffy's prom dress (made from a relative soft plastic) and matching shoes (which are flats and not heels). Angel is decked out in a tuxedo and you cannot tell whether or not he got a matching cummerbund (but I would guess not). The platform is the same size as with other action figures from this series, so getting both figures to stand on it at the same time is a tight fit. The base has a red stripe running across it, reflecting the gym floor at Sunnydale High, and the wall is decorated with two trios of balloons in maroon and gold, the Razorback colors.
This Buffy figure is one of seven second generation action figures (the others being the Cheerleader, Vampire from "Nightmares," "Primeval," "Chosen," Summers women and Buffybot Buffies), to go with three Deluxe Action Figure Buffies ("Graduation Day," "End of Days," and "Once More With Feeling"). There are five other Angel action figures ("Graduation Day," Vampire Angel, "The Ring," Pylean Demon, and Season 5 versions) with another four Deluxe Action Figures for the vampire with a soul (regular and bloody version for "Destiny," a 1950's Angel, and one in a Hawaiian shirt). My goal when I finally get situation in my new office in my new house is to have a display area or shelf where each week I will set up a tableau representing an episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," starting with the first issue "Welcome to the Hellmouth" and ending with "Chosen." I will figure out what to do for "Angel" once I get through the first 56 tableaus that get me to the end of Season 3. I will photograph each tableau and create a slide show on my computer. Why am I telling you all this? So you, my wife, and everybody else who asks will know why it is I need every "BtVS" and "Angel" figure that already has or will be created (today I got my "Watcher's Guide" set with "Checkpoint" Giles, "The Shroud of Rahmon" Wesley, and "Tabula Rasa" Spike, a.k.a. "Randy Giles"). Remember: Whoever dies with the most toys, wins.』 『A Diamond Select Release! A Gentle Giant Sculpt!
