Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A ho-hum figure, but Daredevil fits well with a growing Marvel collection) 『Hasbro's Marvel Universe action figures bring characters from throughout Marvel Comics history to the popular 3-3/4" scale (like the Star Wars and DC Universe: Infinite Heroes figures) in their classic visual designs. The figures pack a lot of posability into a small package, but that often leaves them less durable. Still, it's fun to be able to collect your favorite heroes and villains and piece together your own superhero collection.
This Daredevil action figure is nothing special. Daredevil comes in his red outfit with a nunchuck accessory. Unlike other Marvel Universe figures, my Daredevil figure is made of a seemingly more brittle plastic. And there's something not quite anatomically right with the figure's neck/shoulder region.
The figure has posability in its ankles, knees (2 joints each), hips, torso, wrists, elbows, shoulders, and neck. The joints were all pretty stiff when I got the toy, and it's not as dainty feeling as a few other Marvel Universe figures I've seen. The figure poses decently enough, but I worry that in less delicate hands (say, a child's) the figure may come apart.
So the toy may be nothing special, but it could be a nice addition when building a superhero team. Throw him into the mix with Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Punisher, Hulk, etc.
NOTE: My figure was #008 and part of Wave 1 of the toys, although this product is listed as "Series 2". Might be slightly different product. (?)』 『Though he is blind, Daredevil perceives far more than most people. His senses heightened to superhuman levels by a childhood accident, he lives in a world of continuous sensation. He can smell lies on a mans breath, or hear the panicked heartbeat of a mugging victim from ten blocks away. His uncanny radar sense paints a detailed picture of the world around him, allowing him to dodge bullets, and survive incredible dives from the rooftops to the street. Detailed in his form-fitting suit, pose this Daredevil action figure in a battle-ready pose with his weapon accessory aimed at the enemy! Fully articulated, hes ready to make a stand in your collection.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Christmas Spider men) 『I am reviewing the vendor, not the product. I ordered several spider man classic heroes for my grandson because I couldn't find them in stores. As usual, Amazon.com had what I wanted at a reasonable price and the order came in a timely manner (before Christmas and I ordered on Dec. 15!!!)Amazon.com rocks as well as the vendors I have ordered from affiliated with Amazon.com』 『Lurking around New York City, hiding by day and hunting by night, Carnage is the most dangerous enemy Spider-Man has ever faced. With total control over his body, he can split off pieces of himself to create traps, or even infect other people to attack the web-slinger from multiple directions. In a fight against Carnage, winning is the last thing on Spider-Manâs mind; heâll be lucky just to make it out alive.
Add this articulated action figure to your collection. Ready for destruction, this Carnage figure is highly detailed and comes with capture web accessories!』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Exquisitely detailed artwork for a toy) 『I'll admit I felt like a WoW geek when I picked this up. This item, however, is quite simply a work of art in my opinion. The expression and the posture are intense and the detail is very noticeable. From an art standpoint, I have no criticisms.
Now, on to the production of the item itself. The unit does not have any points of articulation save the wrist joints thereby allowing you to position the shield and the sword to your liking. The arrows are separately packaged and you need to stick them in the slots provided on the shield and the leg. The arrow that goes on the thigh comes with a flimsy arrowhead unlike the ones that are meant for the shield (which are just shafts without a pointy head). The arrowhead snapped right away as I tried to push it in the unit's leg. This was immensely frustrating. I did manage to fit the remaining shaft of the arrow in the leg but isn't as sturdy as the ones on the shield. Why they couldn't provide the same kind of fitting mechanism for the leg I may never know.
The arrows aside, the unit has a couple of minor issues. There is a small gap between the head and the torso. It doesn't bother me much, largely because its not noticeable due to the posture of the unit, but it may be annoying for some. Also, the unit doesn't rest flat on its feet. The weight distribution tips it backwards slightly. My friends occasionally grab the figure to check it out and when they put it back, they typically rest it on its heels and the bottom hem of the cloak (like a tripod).
Having said all that, I still love this piece. I used to play WoW and Warriors were my favorite class. I don't have time for WoW anymore but this action figure reminds me of good times and epic raids with my friends.』
(WOW Archilon Shadowheart figure) 『Love to play WOW, thought I would try collecting figures for the game. This is the first one I ordered, and was very pleased with the material it was made of, the detail on the figure and the overall size. I already put a bunch more on my wish list.』
(Designed more for posing than for playing) 『Of course, a highly detailed figure like this is meant more to stir the imagination than to survive rough play (especially given the arrows one has to stick in, one of which regrettably lost its arrowhead when it tried to fit unsuccessfully in its assigned hole). That said, the figure certainly stirs the imagination (its details are a cartoonist's dream, or nightmare depending on your point of view), and if you leave the arrows out, it seems remarkably durable. No joints articulate save the wrist joints, but that's all one needs to make this dramatically posed warrior nuanced in his berserker menace.』 『WORLD OF WARCRAFT is the massively multiplayer online role-playing game with over 8.5 million devoted subscribers, and now its characters are captured in 3-D by DC Unlimited!
Each figure features multiple points of articulation and a base.
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (EXCELLENT!!!) 『We bought this for our 6-year old son who is really into star wars. He loves that R2 talks and can move his arms and hands...We are considering getting another as a back up in case this one gets lost! Lisa』
(R2 D2) 『This droid is one of the main characters in the whole saga and to think i didn't buy it before as part of my collection?. what was i on? This droid speaks for itself and i mean it speaks. One click of a button and a red light bleeps and sound comes on duplicating the actual sound of R2. There are three different sounds that it makes so you won't get bored with just one sound. I really like it. I like to make it bleep in a dark room and see the red light sorta light up the room. I like showing the sounds off to my friends too.』
(Star Wars Ep. 2 Attack of the Clones R2-D2 Figure) 『This one is one of the best in the series of HASBRO figures. Of course, it's dead easy to make the droids look realistic in toy form, but regardless, HASBRO have done a bang-up job of this one. Plus, best of all, he makes several "beeping" sounds when you push the button on the front of the droid. He also comes with two little Kohun assasin critters. Little R2-D2 takes pride of place on my bookshelf.』
(The Baddest Droid In The Galaxy) 『I am an avid collector of toys, particularly anything to do with the holy trilogy Star Wars. Naturally, I hold droid R2D2 in very high regards...but just because he's a hero on the silver screen doesn't guarantee that his action figure will be equally great. I am surprised to say, however, that not only am I fully impressed with Hasbro's take on R2, but I have it proudly displayed on my shelf, as well. There are so many questions I ask myself whenever reviewing a toy: Does it look good? Is it durable? Does it bear a reasonable likeness to the character after which it was designed? Little R2 passes the test with flying colors! It's definitely one of the finest toys out of the Hasbro line.』
(Great rendering of R2-D2, even without a moving head) 『I just had to leave a review after hearing the geek whining about how R2's head don't move (oh boo hoo, squish, squish). There are a dozen renderings of R2-D2 in the current line, and there will probably be a dozen more by the time that the line is done. If a figure can offer a new feature, ie sound and light effects, I can accept it losing a feature that other versions already have. The sculpting, and scale are accurate. The paint deco is great, and done neatly. My verdict? Two thumbs up skipper!!!』 『The ever-faithful R2-D2 is being used to guard Senator Padmé Amidala. He sounds the alarm when an assassin droid makes an attempt on Padmé』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great Set!) 『Set was perfect for putting on a cake for a nice Jungle Book scene or just letting kids play with it!』
(Great, but why is Mowgli white?) 『I bought this toy for my son when he was 4. He loved the movie, and loved the toy. I was surprised to find that Mowgli is white. He is not white in the movie, and the story takes place in India.』
(Jungle Book Characters) 『I purchased this set for my son's birthday. He is three and obsessed with the Jungle Book. The set came very quickly after I ordered it. It was well packed and in excellant condition. The characters are made out of a durable vinyl/soft plastic. My son was extremely excited to receive it and has been happily play acting scenes from the movie with the characters ever since he received it. For us it was defintely worth it. The set included all the main characters from the first Jungle Book movie.』 『You can relive the Walt Disney The Jungle Book with these neat high quality pvc figures! These are not for children under 4. The figure set is great for any Disney fan and they also make great gifts! Do not miss out on these collectible Disney Jungle Book figures!』
『Electro is living lightning. Electricity crackles between his fingers, and dances across his eyes. He can generate lightning bolts powerful enough to shatter concrete or detonate gas tanks. For years, his ambition has been to surpass his humble roots and join the ranks of the worldâs master criminals. Unfortunately for him, his enemiesâ superior understanding of how electricity actually works continues to stand in his way.
Spring into action with this "electrifying" figure! Recreate your favorite combat scenes or create your own! Either way, get ready for high-intensity adventure!
Colorful, collectible action figure has articulated limbs and comes with a S.H.I.E.L.D file with secret code!』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (...) 『This Yoda figure must be the best model of Yoda to date. Not only does it come with his lightsaber but it has the cool stand the makes the illusion that he is levataing. The stand is designed to look like the hangar at the end of the movie but him levatating was never put in the movie. Even though his face looks like he is constipated he is still a great figure.』
(Yoda! With a lightsaber!!!!!!) 『Yoda, lightsaber, cane and whole bunch of other neat stuff. Need I say more? 5 stars for fun because it is the best Star Wars figure ever. 1 star for educational. What can I say? Yeah you learn about Yoda but that's not something you need to know. 5 stars for durablity. 4 is my usual durabilty rating on all Jedi. The cruddy lightsabers snap way to easily and you can't fix 'em when the do. Except Yoda's is so small, it doesn't break very easily.』
(Great Figure!) 『This is the best yoda toy I'v ever got. It is awesome, and I think anyone who likes yoda should get it. I am a serious collector, and I am thankful I found this action figure at my local Toysrus. Great toy!』
(YODA FOREVER) 『Yoda. Do you really need to elaborate? Mind the saber, the base of the blade snaps a bit easily. ...』
(Yoda is a delight) 『The real find here is the Yoda figure itself. While the Force effect and hovering base look good in the package, the lightsaber and walking stick fit nicely into Yoda's hands. Not only does the toy look good in a pose on the shelf, but it can easily be put into a diaroma with Count Dooku, or any other Jedi Knights. While sometimes hard to find, this figure is a good likeness of the famous Jedi Master.』 『Star Wars Yoda Jedi Master Attack of the Clones Action Figure』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Dead Spaced) 『I have a disturbing secret. Shhhh... *I've never played Dead Space*. However, I know a cool action figure when I see one and while I'm not normally one to pick up figures from properties I'm unfamiliar with I could tell this one was worth a look. This is Isaac in the "bloodied" version with his really large hand saw.
For kids: If your kid has played this video game and likes action figures then this one is a no brainer. In addition to looking cool he's very pose-able, comes with a great accessory and has lights. I will say that the box says 17 and up on it but I think this is more to advertise that this is for collectors but it's still a toy and younger kids would have a blast with him as well.
For adults: This is an NECA toy and they typically run the line between good sculpt and paint and just enough articulation. This time they found a perfect balance.
The Sculpt is immaculate. The suit has many different textures ranging from cloth-like to metallic. The helmet is superb and the ribbed sections of his torso and right arm are really cool and full of detail. The spine and raised sections on his back are also pretty eye popping. The only detail I don't like is his left hand which is in a kind of wimpy pose - just a flat open palm. A fist or more menacing hand pose would have looked more action packed to me. The right hand is sculpted to hold his accessory.
He looks like a rough and tumble type of guy and he's got a rough and tumble type of suit which means the rough paint looks perfect. Not that there's any slop at all. I especially like the rust colored areas which are done so well that it really looks like rusted metal and not painted plastic. Granted the color palate is a bit drab with brown, rust, grey and black but there are some red bloody splotches as well. There's a smattering of white flecks as well. His is a nice and complex paint job.
With around 21 points of articulation he can take many cool poses. He's got ball jointed head, shoulders and elbows which can bend and rotate. Both hands rotate and the left arm has a cut at the bicep to rotate. The waist swivels and rotates and he's got the cool hip joints that allow for forward and back and out movement (very much like DC Universe figures). He's got cut thighs, single pin knees and his feet swivel and rotate a bit. For NECA that A LOT of joints making him much more versatile.
His accessory is a big honking circle saw with a bloody blade. Seriously its huge and has lots of detail with wires and sculpted details and a great paint job in several colors, silver, black, yellow, green and red (blood). Heck, it's more colorful than the figure it goes with. This accessory was the main reason I picked this one up as opposed to the regular version that has a gun. I have figures with guns - none with giant circle saws!
Lastly he has a great light up feature. Push a button on his back and his face plate lights up and part of the spine on his back. The spine looks great and so does the face plate although in a lighted room the face plate is a little subdued but that's to be expected.
This is a great figure and definitely worth picking up.』 『Dead Space Isaac Clarke (with Ripper) NIP Action Figure from the 2009 toy series. (with Ripper) In Dead Space, it's the 26th Century and you're Isaac Clarke, an engineer sent to repair the interplanetary mining ship USG Ishimura, near the planet Aegis VII. Seems simple enough -- another day, another dollar -- until the whole thing gets shot to hell and you end up having to fight for your live against zombified Necromorphs while simultaneously uncovering a conspiracy involving the Church of Unitology and wondering just where your girlfriend, Nicole Brennan, who was assigned as a medical specialist to the Ishimura could have got off to. Sounds like the makings of some serious trouble, but fortunately ol' Isaac's got a pressurized suit that along with keeping him alive, goes great with his plasma cutter, flamethrower and ripper. The EA game was a Game Informer game of the month and has picked up numerous awards for its sound design, atmosphere and overall quality. NECA is proud to reveal two new figures of Isaac Clarke based on his appearance in Dead Space. Isaac comes with a light up LED mask and back and over 20 points of articulation. With ball joints at the neck, shoulders, wrists and ankles as well as ball hinges at the knees and elbows, left swivel biceps, a swivel waist and T crotch with hinged swivel hips, Isaac has the flexibility to take on whoever -- and whatever -- he might encounter aboard the Ishimura.』
