『This is in my top five favorite movies.......a wonderful erotic romp with elements of social commentary......satirical and critical of religious zeal, conventional marriage, and small town gossip. The acting is amazing and it is Jack Nicholson at his very devilish best. I am not sure what John Updike thinks about this Hollywood rensition of his novel, but it certainly entertains.』

『I am very disappointed with this DVD. Of course, I am now comparing it with the TV remake called, 'Eastwick', previously on Wednesday nights. Jack Nicholson always makes a show dark and weird, and this is no exception. The guy playing his role in the TV remake is lighter, more likeable, and much better looking. I wish I had never purchased this DVD and did not even care to finish it. I only got half way through. Also, very dated. The girls were bimbos.』

『I'd seen this movie numerous times growing up. When my 13 year old son read the book for a school book report, I wanted him to see the movie. It's hilarious to see the Firefighters chasing after Montag with their jet packs - you can see the strings holding them up! Still, great classic movie, and can't wait for the Mel Gibson updated remake.』

Here a world where the printed word is being destroyed,
we see what can only be the fall of a civilization as motor manual's

I've always wished that we would put the important elements to
something like stone that can't be bashed by vandals invading.
Memorization is how many of the bardic epic poems have come down to us,
but for non-poetry prose is very hard for most people,
so the idea of a lot of people each memorizing one book doesn't seem practical.
I liked the movie just the same and I think that it was made in Britain tells you a lot.』

(Jaws- the greatest horror movie of 1975-1978)
『Personly i like planet of dinosaurs a little more than jaws, but jaws will always be my second favriote horror movie ever (even if it is more of a thriller)

Plot- a giant 25 foot great white shark is invading a small town called Amity, now Cheif Martian Brody (Roy Scheider), Quint (Robert Shaw), and Matt Hooper (Richard Drefyuss)(Basiclly the Three R's) are sent out to stop the vicious beast (of course after eating some bathers)

Acting- this is probably the best acted horror film of the 70's (again in my opinion)

Gore- lots of blood coughing, a severed leg, a severed arm and more

Bottom Line- 5 out of 5, even though the plot is used alot now, jaws is the first baby to do it』

(Thrilling start in Steven Spielberg's career with this classic)
『Steven Spielberg, we know him from various movies like E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones series, War of the Worlds, etc. There is another timeless classic that launched him into stardom released in 1975, Jaws. It takes place on a fictitious resort known as Amity Island and begins when a college woman went swimming on the beach one evening and was attacked by a shark. The next day, the Chief of Police, Martin Brody (Roy Scheider), investigates the shark attack with the help of his wife Ellen (Lorraine Gary). Martin tries to close the beaches, but Mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) overrules it to make a profit on the 4th of July without fear of a shark attack. After the shark attacks a kid, his mother places a $3,000 bounty on the shark, starting a shark hunting frenzy and gets the attention of shark hunter Quint (Robert Shaw), who offers his services at a meeting. Martin hires ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss)to do an autopsy on the shark's first victim and determines this. By the 4th of July, beaches were full of tourists. When a shark joke creates a false alarm and distracts the city officials, the real thing arrives, kills a man, and nearly takes the life of Martin and Ellen's oldest son Michael. Martin, Quint, and Hooper team up to kill it at all costs. They get to the shark on the "Orca" and lured it with chum. They shot tracers on the shark. After the engine gets damaged, Hooper gets in a cage to tranquilize it, but breaks the cage. The shark jumps on the boat and kills Quint. Martin tosses an air tank in the sharks mouth. He gets on a pole and shoots at the shark and causes it to explode. Hooper catches up to Martin and they paddle back home. I saw it with a friend some time ago and it was timeless. It has a little blood and gore, but not much. It mostly relies on suspense by not showing the shark much until the climax. The acting was splendid, the shark looks pretty real, and the score by orchestra legend John Williams is so powerful, almost on par with Star Wars. If you are a fan of Spielberg, Williams, and sharks, I would check it out. You will be pleased. This is another example of a film that didn't need a sequel, but I will get to them eventually.』

(Feed Steven Spielberg to the sharks)
『"Jaws" was something of a classic already when I was a kid. I didn't like the movie back then, and I still don't. My best friend was also very sceptical.

For starters, "Jaws" isn't particularly exciting. With the exception of one or two scenes, you *know* when the shark is going to show up due to that loony tune tam-tam-tam-tam-tam-tam-tam... Most of the movie, there is no action at all. And when Great White started attacking Steven Spielberg's ridiculously small boat, I yawned. Cujo was more scary in that Stephen King movie. And Cujo was just a puppy back then, right?

Perhaps me and my buddy were precocious or something, but we also criticized "Jaws" for being unrealistic. I doubt Great White Sharks can become this large. I mean, he's the size of a killer whale! Basking sharks can become very large, but they are harmless. (Yes, we knew about basking sharks. Common knowledge, alright?) And why would a guy looking for the world's most vicious shark use such a ridiculously small boat?

Naturally, there are several sequels, including one called "Jaws 3D". I never saw it as a kid. Maybe it was X-rated or something. I wonder why? Apparently, you needed a special kind of specs to watch it. Since I'm near-sighted, I would probably just have gotten a bad headache anyway.

I know that I'm in a minority here. One of my workmates (let's call him Happy Chappie) actually likes "Jaws", claiming it's a real classic and one of the best films ever made. Chappie says I'm not getting it. I guess I don't. "Jaws" didn't scare me even as a kid. "Alien" is a real horror movie. It scared me as an adult, even when I was watching it the second time on TV, with commercial breaks! I suppose I'm more afraid of xenomorphs in my closet than Great White Sharks in my bath tub. Or something. Every time I see "Jaws", I want to feed Spielberg to the xenomorphs!

I'll give it two stars for old times sake.

(Underrated)
『Alright, I'll admit it, it's usually called a remake. If you don't like remakes don't watch it, it's as simple as that.
Now onto my opinion.
I'll get rid of the negative right away. Only the Blu-Ray included both Theatrical and Extended cuts. DVD's on this movie aren't very good, put that's probably because it got such a bad rating.
Many times, this is refereed to as a "remake" and Jason is on the cover, and that will mean one of two things to the uneducated: A. This movie is dumbed down for a wider audience and does not stay true or B. Jason was in the original. However, watching the movie, it basically chronicles 13th's 1-3 and bits of 4, Jason's mom reeks havoc and gets killed by a mechete, Jason comes back in a Potato sack, losses his Potato sack, we see him unmasked and he comes for his mask. The rest is typical Slasher flick. I love it, it really is one of the bright shines of light in the darkness that is Horror films today. My favorite part is when the guy gets hit by an ax to the back, but he falls on his stomach, so he's still alive. Then Jason picks him up, and gives him a Power Bomb! He was like The Undertaker, (LAST RIDE! LAST RIDE!) And the ax goes through the guy's lungs! WOOOO!
All in all, I can't wait to see Part 2, which will probably chronical 4-6 and parts of 7. Then Part 3 will go insane, it will be super long with New York, Hell, Space and Freddy Kruger. I also can't wait to see the reboot of A Nightmare on Elm Street.』

(My Review)
『I'm a twelve year old boy who loves scary movies. When I saw the newest Friday 13th it blew me away. I LOVED IT. It was just great.
The movie is about a group of campers who take a camping trip to Silver Springs Lake. While they are there they run into the murderer "Jason." The movie tells the story of why Jason is so angry and kills so many people.
The special effects in the movie were so fantastic. It was one of the things that made the movie great. It made you feel like you was like you were there with the characters. It was like you were there when someone got murdered. Like for instant Jason's face look so real, because in the movie Jason's face is deformed.
I understand what Jason is feeling. I also understand why one character in the movie (brother) goes through all that trouble to get his sister back. I mean if my sister got kidnapped I would do the same thing.
The movie is great, and you should go see it. BEWARE it will scare the soul out of you.

『The Dutch have a long and rich history of homocidal rampages, and apparently Jason Voorhees is no exception. Jason slays down many, walking squishily in the blood-soaked footsteps of the long shadow of many, many violent Dutchmen. The Dutch propensity toward insensate violence remains to this day a profound mystery. And indeed I seem to remember back in the late seventies watching an episode of In Search Of dedicated to this subject. A mustachioed Leonard Nimoy raised one eyebrow and drily intoned, "Join me then, tonight; as we go in search of the origin of the Dutch instinct for mass murder."

Indeed, the Dutch gravitate toward mass murder just as the Japanese gravitate toward senseless suicide, however, the film's most profound conundrum, yet unriddled even as of this viewing, is the following: was Jason Voorhees from Rotterdam, or Amsterdam? He couldn't very well have been from Madurodam... perhaps he was from The Haigue. Or, more intriguing yet, perhaps he was South African Dutch, hailing from Port Elizabeth where the weather is fine. Then again, perhaps he was Pennsylvania Dutch. Yes, perhaps he was Amish . Then again, perhaps he was simply Dutch in the colloquial sense: your old Dutch Uncle, who is neither an uncle nor Dutch, just as blood brothers are not really brothers and country cousins do not actually migrate from the country to urban centers where they regale their sophisticated bachelor relations with their crude and rustic ways, but are instead simply what brothers and sisters - who live in the country - call one another, the idea being that if they are in fact cousins, then they are far enough removed to be "kissin' cousins" and, well, you can imagine the rest yourself.』

(Booooring!)
『I had the highest hopes going into this movie. I read all about the movie, saw some reviews that were kind and Jared Padalecki from Supernatural starred in it. So this was supposed to be great, right? Wrong! This was the most boring movie ever. What's worse, the kills were absolutely boring as well. The movie dragged on with our gang of youngn's going from place to place and Jason carving people up in such a lackluster way that it would have made the makers of the original Fridays laugh. The so-called homage to the original three or four Fridays fell totally flat. Jason was more domesticated in this one instead of a out-of-the-shadows killer even though in Friday 2 he lived in this shack that was the closest he came to being domesticated. Jared Padalecki was forgettable in this movie. The filmakers totally wasted his part. I may have to see this movie again to see if I like it any better but I probably won't.』

『I could not wait to see this movie and when I did I was soooo disappointed. I am a huge fan of the original Friday the 13th movies, they are some of my favorites. This was written terrible. There's so much sex that it takes away from what should be a horror movie and makes it into softcore. I'm not a prude, I understand that for the most part horror movies have some nuidty and sex in them but this was excessive. I think the sex and nudity was a filler because the writer was at a loss for material. You'll notice in other Friday the 13th movies there's like 1-2 scenes of nudity and it's over with and on to the killing and gore. This movie was made for the sake of sex scenes, it was awkward and stupid. The kills were unlike Jason, he never ran like this, he never kept trinkets from his victims. This should have been a completely different movie. Sorry, this is not the Jason I know and adore. 1.5 to 2 stars, if that.』

『If you thought a bigger budget and an A-list producer (Michael Bay) would go to Jason's head, well, forget it. The indestructible villain of so many bottom-of-the-barrel shockers isn't about to change his shtick, and the 2009Friday the 13thproves it. This, the umpteenth sequel (nope, it's not a remake of the origin story) to the original 1980 movie, gives us a clever prologue that manages to fit an entire Jason Voorhees killing spree in a brisk and bloody 20 minutes. Jumping ahead six weeks, the film introduces a carload of clueless teens headed for a weekend at a lakeside cabin, plus a lone motorcyclist (Jared Padalecki) in search of his missing sister (Amanda Righetti). When the "lakeside" happens to refer to Crystal Lake, of course, there can be only one outcome. Cue the hockey mask, and pass the machete. Bay and director Marcus Nispel, who collaborated on theTexas Chainsaw Massacreremake, are surprisingly indifferent to changing up the formula this time, although there's more care taken in building up a few characters, and for once the comic relief (mostly supplied by Aaron Yoo and Arlen Escarpeta) is pretty funny. You might even regret the slaughter of a couple of these young folk, which is an unusual feeling inFriday-watching. The film's Jason is quite the athletic fellow, and he's assembled an elaborate underground corpse-hiding lair in the vicinity of Crystal Lake. 『The dying words of Deep Throat to Mulder and Scully at the end of Season 1. Season 2 picks up with the X-Files closed, Mulder and Scully are reassigned to different parts of FBI but that doesn't stop them from still poking their noses where they don't belong. With Deep Throat dead a new voice from the shadows emerges to guide Agent Mulder, Mr. X. Unlike Deep Throat Mr. X is utterly ruthless and has no problem sacrificing Mulder if he gets in the way of his own agenda. Assistant Director Skinner comes into his role more as he must decide to either help Mulder and Scully or continue to be a puppet for those above him. And the Smoking Man steps a little closer into the light to reveal more of his sinister plans and methods. The plot thickens and the conspiracy gets more complicated than thought possible.

Season 2 is one of the best because of its balance of mythology and Monster of the Week episodes. There are plenty stand alone episodes to start novices off on. Season 2 also ventured out from SciFi into plain horror with such episodes as Die Hand Die Verletzt, Fresh Bones and The Calusari which deals with the occult and demonic.

Season 2 will keep newcomers happy without a doubt and bring back good memories for X-Philes.

『I had heard a great deal of positive response on this film, but hadn't got around to watching it until recently. I expected it to be good, but I never expected anything this good. The writing is razor-sharp and the film is completely unpredictable which made it so fiendishly good and enormously entertaining.
WHAT IT'S ABOUT: A fourteen-year-old girl named Haley meets a thirty-two-year-old guy named Jeff over the internet and they decide to meet at a restaurant and then decide to go back to his place. He shows her around his home and decides to give her some drinks as well. But Haley turns the tables on Jeff and she drugs him and holds him captive in his own home where she constantly interrogates him and asks him the whereabouts a missing woman whose picture he just so happens to have and what he did the teenage girls he took pictures of. No matter what Jeff does, she always outsmarts him and mocks him in the process.
MUSIC: The music for the most part is actually pretty good, and it fit the mood of this psychotic and brilliant horror/thriller very well.
ACTING: I really got to hand it to Ellen Page's performance (She was the actress who played Juno), she easily gives the best performance. She was smart, witty with dark humor, and she played the role a psychopath flawlessly. Patrick Wilson (He played Nite Owl in Watchmen) also puts on a great show as a demented pedaphile who is terrified of this girl. For the most part, I can see no flaws in their performances.
ACTION: This film is mostly dialogue only. There is very little in terms of violence and almost no blood. I really have to hand it to the writer of this film because the dialogue is sharp and clever and this film was almost never boring (Though there were a few moments in which it was a tad boring). The characters always had something to talk about and keep you on edge the entire time. This film feels very fresh and is completely unpredictable and waiting for what's around the next corner is always exciting.
OVERALL: Tired of the usual cliched horror films or thrillers? Hard Candy is the perfect choice for you. This film is a superbly crafted piece that always leaves you on edge and always makes you guess what comes next. You can't say that about other films in this day and age.
THE GOOD: Sharply written story and dialogue, good music, and flawless acting.
THE BAD: Some moments were a tad boring.』

(Terrific performances and photography; extreme unpleasantness; a mixed bag that's hard to swallow)
『There are an awful lot of great movies that have been made about voyeurism, sexual predators, revenge; the careers of Roman Polanski and Michael Haneke among others are testaments to our fascination with the subject. HARD CANDY goes deeper than most into many of these themes, but sadly falls far short of greatness. There's no way I can say anything much about it without significant SPOILERS, so be warned.

Precocious teen Hayley (Ellen Page, quite brilliant) meets much older photographer Jeff (the always excellent Patrick Wilson) in an internet chatroom, and then for real at a coffee shop. It's "meet-cute" with lots of saucy, seductive banter -- mostly on the part of Ellen -- and though it's engagingly filmed (lots of close-ups and interesting cutting in the early scenes, in brightly lit widescreen) it unsettled me, not because of the ickiness factor but because I didn't buy it. I didn't buy for a second that Ellen was going to be a victim, which was fine -- she obviously knows what she's doing, that's believable -- but that led me not to buy that Jeff - who seems just as smart as Ellen, and much more in control of himself than he apparently really is - would go along with it. Is he so wrapped up in his good fortune that he doesn't see her playing him? Perhaps, but the film strives for a lot of realism throughout and this was the first element that didn't work.

When they leave the cafe and head to Jeff's somewhat remote hilltop suburban ranch home, the troubles really begin, both for Jeff who is soon to get more than he could possibly have bargained for, and the viewer, who is treated to a higher level of sadism and a more excruciating, drawn out series of psychological tortures than necessary or perhaps possible. I wonder if the filmmakers were aiming at this point more for the horror film audience than for the serious art-film audience; indeed the whole film seems to be stuck between these two basic kinds of spectators - or notions of spectatorship.

The most serious problem for me, ultimately, is that the film once having demonstrated that Ellen is at least a borderline psychopath herself then lets her off the hook by demonizing Jeff in an entirely unambiguous and exploitational way. The end result is that we are supposed to cheer on Ellen as she completes her horrifying but seemingly righteous plan; some will buy that and love it. I didn't, and the terrific performances and interesting film-making choices did not redeem it. All in all, I'm left with very mixed feelings: on the one hand, there's an intellectual and moral cop-out in the way the characters are handled in the third act; on the other, the visceral outrage and sickening feelings do come through. I don't know whether to recommend this to anyone or not, really - take that as you will.』

(Hard to swallow)
『This visually spare movie has a very theatrical feel; it's shot almost entirely on a single set and has just three cast members. The performances of the two main actors are riveting and provide 90 minutes of compelling viewing. And it's these performances alone that make the film worth watching.

Sadly, Hard Candy is simply too implausible and exploitative to be of any real value. Page's character is far more resourceful, remorseless, relentless, and self-assured than any 14-year-old. Her morality, which is pivotal, becomes increasingly ambiguous as the film progresses, and the violence, although it mostly takes place out of shot, verges uncomfortably close to torture porn, displacing any message that might have been intended, and polarising the viewer's sympathies. The shock tactics used here, which would be perfectly acceptable in a horror vehicle, are out of place in a film such as this.』

(Contrived but still compelling throughout...)
『HC delivers suspense in a minimal setting. You can gather the plot from other reviews and synopsis but the two leads carry bulk of this film in a manner that recalled Farrah Fawcett's "Extremities". If you seen that and liked it you'll probably rave over this. Though the ending may lead viewers to think it's highly improbable this guy would carry through with his fatal choice. Also, if this is the man guilty of the crime he's being tortured for it seems more likely he would have done away with this girl early on during one of several escape episodes. Still, Definitely worth a look and a thought.』

『With the original conspiracy plot arc having fallen into a muddle of loose ends, once-hungry lead actors on the verge of big-screen careers and making demands for more time off or shots at writing and directing, and the initial wish list of monsters-of-the-week long exhausted, it's a miracle that by its seventh seasonThe X-Fileswas still making its airdates, let alone managing something pretty good every other show and something outstanding at least once every four episodes. The season opens with a dreary two-parter ("Sixth Extinction" and "Amor Fati") and winds up with the traditional incomprehensible cliffhanger ("Requiem"), but along the way includes a clutch of episodes that may not match the originality of earlier seasons but still effortlessly equal any other fantasy-horror sci-fi on television.

The highlights: "Hungry," a brain-eating mutant story told from the point of view of a monster who tries to control his appetite by going to eating disorder self-help groups; "The Goldberg Variation," a crime comedy about a weasely little man who has the gift of incredible good luck, which means Wile E. Coyote-style doom for anyone who crosses him; "The Amazing Maleeni," guest-starring Ricky Jay in a rare nonfantastic crime story about a feud between stage magicians that turns out to be a cover for a heist; "X-Cops," a brilliant skit on the TV docusoapCopswith Mulder and Scully caught on camera as they track an apparent werewolf in Los Angeles (season-best acting from David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson); "Theef," a complex revenge drama with gaunt Billy Drago as a hillbilly medicine man stalking a slick doctor; "Brand X," a horror-comic tale of corruption in the tobacco industry; "Hollywood AD" (written and directed by Duchovny), in which Tea Leoni (Duchovny's wife) and Garry Shandling are cast as Scully and Mulder in a crass movie version of a real-life X-file; and "Je Souhaite," a deadpan comedy about a wry, cynical genie at the mercy of trailer-trash masters who haven't an idea what to wish for.--Kim Newman』

『It is just as I remembered it.....I saw this when I was a kid and thought it was hilarious then...and after watching it again after so many years, I found it just as funny and entertaining today. One of those cult classics.』

『That night, penetrating deep into the heart of Transylvania, Professor Abronsius was unaware that he was on the point of reaching the goal of his mysterious investigations. In the course of which he had journeyed throughout Central Europe for years accompanied by his one and only faithful disciple, Alfred. A scholar and scientist whose genius was unappreciated, Abronsius had given up all to devote himself body and soul to what was to him a sacred mission. He had even lost his chair at Königsberg University, where for a long time his colleagues used to refer to him as "The Nut".

And thus the comedic romp begins...』

『A shaggy affair, this one -- Roman Polanski's very own 1960s screwball horror spoof that for all of its artistic merits is a monumental bore.

"Fearless Vampire Killers" has all of the ingredients for a rollicking good time, with a good cast, amazing sets and atmosphere, and a crazy score by Polanski regular Kryztof Komeda. Unfortunately, the story follows two dimwitted academics as they clumsily happen upon a vampire and his castle, with most of the film consisting of little more than physical comedy pieces and Benny Hill style camera tricks. There are a couple of minorly humorous bits with a clubfooted henchman, but it says a lot when the vaporish Sharon Tate winds up stealing the show as the vampire's concubine.

Polanski, who was eventually to direct two of my favorite films of all time (Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown), comes across in interviews as an extemely pompous and judgemental man; I've heard him totally dismiss Ira Levin's and Robert Towne's work on the forementioned films. But I'm calling his bluff -- because without good material he is prone to directing some pretty lousy films, such as this one and "The Tenant". However, you might want to check out "FVK" simply for the production design, music, Sharon Tate, and wonderful 60s alpine scenery.』

(Very Underated&Very Funny Polanski Vampire Movie.)
『I saw this movie many moons ago at the Fox Senator Theatre in CA&I thought it was incredibly funny&way before it's time. Beautifully photographed,&endearingly portrayed by all the principle performers, this movies is&always will have a special place in my heart&DVD library. I have never shared this before with anybody until now, but here goes, I saw this movie (alone)at the Fox on the afternoon of August 8, 1969,&the following day I witnessed the news reports&read about what had occurred the previous night before in Los Angeles. I was shelled shocked to say the least. Beautiful actress Sharon Tate, the female lead in this movie&the pregnant wife of director Roman Polanski&four other house guest were horribly murdered at their home in Bel-Air by the Manson morons. I have since then always had this strange connection to this movie ever since. It's not very often that you can successfully combine the genre's of horror&comedy, but when you do&it works, well then what you have is very funny little gem of an overlooked vampire movie. Never did Sharon Tate look so beautiful, then in this film.』

(Entertaining Suspense/Thriller!)
『One of the higher-profile suspense thrillers of '09, The Perfect Getaway is an entertaining movie with a good premise, however the last half or so falls into the trap of clichés...not to mention a few random acts of "hokey"-ness. Still, it overall is entertaining and at least attempts to make some original story and cutting methods and deserves a positive rating. Viewers shouldn't expect much more than an hour and 45 of good suspenseful fun, though.

"A Perfect Goodaway" more-or-less met my expectations. Fans of such movies like "Touristas" should like it(though this wasn't nearly as gory). Ultimately I was expecting a nice ride that kept my interest, along with some decent acting and those characters that seem to come with this kind of movie....and this lived up to it!

『I rented the flick due to one of the positive reviews ("Pleasantly Surprised"). I'll know better next time. Zahns character is the biggest whimp that frets like somebodys overbearing mother. No woman (especially a Milla type) would ever marry this guy, hes a total whuss. I couldn't take anymore and had to turn it off.

『It's been a long time since I've fallen asleep during a movie. I think that I nodded off after about an hour of A Perfect Getaway. So 45 - 60 minutes into the movie here's what I remember:

- Some very bad acting by actors that I really do like. Hey, love 'em or hate 'em, I like the Resident Evil movies and Mila Jovovich is cool. And Timothy Olyphant!...How can you go wrong with him in your film? But they were boring and unbelievable as far as I saw in this movie. And Steve Zahn has got a kind of tough look about him, so seeing him in A Perfect Getaway as a geeky hiker just didn't work; you might say he was...unbelievable, which leads perfectly into,

- A story that was seemingly predictable, with people doing stuff that was just hard to swallow. So ultimately by the time I lost consciousness, the movie had introduced me to three couples: Mila and Zahn the hikers, another hiking couple that seems nice and a random couple that you don't trust. It turns out that there's a serial killer(s) on the loose and we're pointed in the direction that the killer may be near and may even be one of the couples.

- An hour of the movie has gone by with not much more action than what is contained here in my review. And here are these three couples in a remote area of one of the Hawaiian Islands...When suddenly...I wake up to the main menu of the disk on my screen. Fell asleep, movie ended, credits rolled....Now that's what I call a sleeper.

Do I need to give this another chance? Maybe I will once it comes out on cable, and maybe I'll return here and revise my review accordingly. But until then, I'd recommend a pass on A Perfect Getaway unless you need a prescription for something to help you sleep.

The Action in The Fist Film Was More Horror-Like and Scary. The Action in The Second Film is More Comicly Horror-Like Than Scary, and The Sequel Just Makes It More Fun To Watch.

The Best Moment in This Horror-Sequel is When The Gremlins Take Over The Clamp INC. Lobby and The Brain Gremlin is Singing ''New York, New York'' (Which I Wished It Was On The Soundtrack, But Sadly It Isn't).

Overall, Gremlins 2 is A Must-See Sequel, and It Seceseds On What Over Sqequels Fail At, and That's Making It As Fun and Possibly Better Than The Origanal.

I Recomend If You Liked Gremlins 2 You Should Also See The Origanal Classic Gremlins and The Critters Series.

The Deleted Scenes Are All Very Great, and As I Mintchened in My GREMLINS (SPECIAL EDITION) Review, I Hope There's Going To Be An Extinded Edition Someday. The Making of GREMLINS 2 is Probly The BEST Making of I've Ever Seen as It's More of Making Fun of A Making Of Than It's Suposed To Be More Informantive.

The Commentary is Another Great Thing on This DVD Has Well as Info On Why Thay Did The Sequel and Some Ideas That Were Dicided Not To Do In The Sequel. The Gag Reel of GREMLINS 2 is The Funniest Gag Reel I've Ever Seen On Any DVD Ever Released, Even Showing Some Mistakes That Happened on The Deleted Scenes.

(More Humor Makes This A More Appealing Gremlins Film)
『When this came out, it was an amazing movie because these Gremlin creatures looked so lifelike. They still look pretty real. What I like best about this film is that it took the hard edge off the first one and made it more of a comedy. To me, this sequel was more entertaining than the first film and one I would watch a lot more times. It's also family-friendly.

There are so many jokes and wild scenes in here it would many viewings to catch them all. For movie buffs, it's especially fun with all the references to other films in here.

However, it should be pointed out that there are still plenty of scenes where the gremlins are nasty and attack people, so the film is still horror-like in that respect. It may be played for comedic purposes, but these creatures are anything but friendly. In other words, there is still a bit of a hard edge in here for people who want that.

Phoebe Cates and Zach Galligan reprise their roles as the cute, small-town, wholesome (despite not being married, however) couple who live together who, of course, know all about these gremlins.

It was nice to see Jackie Joseph (of the original "Little Shop Of Horrors") again as well as some other well-known characters such as Christopher Lee, Robert Prosky, Dick Miller and Keye Luke.

The film just flies by, which tells you it's entertaining.』
