(I like my SciFi hard, dramatic and epic. Gundam Seed delivers)
『I do NOT give away 4 star ratings lightly (unlike some of my fellow Anime "lovers").

This 2nd installment in Gundam Seed was better than the first (call me dense, but "Complete Collection, part II" is an oxymoron... but with this much content, I'll forgive the misnomer) in every way.

NON Spoiler (again, unlike my fellow reviewers) review:

"What is it you believe in? What are you fighting for? Is it that medal? Or your fathers orders?"

For this 2nd part of the story, the drama intensifies, the true horrors of war are even more revealed and the characters (some of whom, may have appeared to be comic relief or eye candy...such as the person who uttered the above quote) become more complex, more grown up, more of a player than we were led to believe.

The "Giant Uber Weapon Dispensing Machine" is in full production as both sides reveal their secret weapon(s) (mobile suit and otherwise) in a bunch of "AHA!" moments. It gets a little much, but does add to the suspense.

This is a "cartoon" but is not for children. People are shot, bloody, chopped in half, blow up in the horrors of space (vacuum) combat and die in briefly violent ways. I'd rate it PG13.

The music is over all passable, but with flashes of particular greatness. The Music video alone on this set is worth watching again and again, "Believe" by Nami Tamaki. I'm listening right now and getting goosebumps. And this other particular song was beautifully haunting (and imho, under used) [EDIT - link to Youtube video deleted by Amazon. Search on Youtube for Akatsuki no kuruma by FictionJunction and you'll find it...]

The character development, the plot twists, the music, the story, the hard edge, all were brought together in a very satisfying way. Its not perfect, but its close. Ironically, my biggest turn off is the cartoonish Gundams. Giant humanoid fighting machines have only the barest of military justifications, painting them in clown colors just makes it worse. Robotech (Macross in particular) had much more realistic looking Mechs (Gundams, whatever) and that was 25 years ago. This grown up story with its tight production is worthy of a more grown up design of weaponry.

It is a strange mix. On the one hand, you see the horrors of war, the loss of your friends, coming face to face with those who loved the people you killed, the treatment of Prisoners of War, civilian casualties. Then another well choreographed battle that draws you into the action, but shouldn't I feel guilty now for enjoying it?

Guilty or not, I completely enjoyed Gundam Seed.』

(Bandai....has to be the worst.)
『I hate buying anything from Bandai but unfortunately they have titles that I like.
The reason I rated it so low is because of Bandai..they just crap it out and do not care about anything else. Case in point....sound wise 99 percent of your voices will come out of the Center Channel versus like ADV Films or Geneon where when a character is off screen to the left...their voice comes out of that speaker and other sounds move around with the scene. Bandai just makes the background music come out all channels and for the most part uses the most generic sounds in this series. While in a battle their lasers sound like something out of 2 dollar toy gun for the most part.
My beef is with Bandai not with the story ....I did like the story quite a lot. Others have reviewed the series very well which is why I said nothing.
I was just letting you know what kind of sound quality or lack there of...you can expect in this series. Compliments of Bandai and their less than spectacular company.』

(Very good anime)
『People who like the anime Mobile Suit GUNDAM SEED.
This Mobile Suit GUNDAM SEED: Anime Legends Collection, Vol. 2 (episode 26 to 50)is a good to have it in your Movie,DVD Library at home.

『A fierce three-sided battle begins outside the Mendel colony. While the Archangel takes on the Dominion, the Eternal and Kusanagi attempt to fight off Le Creusets ships. In the midst of this chaos, Le Creuset sets Flay adrift in a lifepod, entrusting her
with what he claims is the key that will end the war. The Archangel, Eternal and Kusanagi fight to prevent both sides from using their weapons of annihilation. At the controls of his own new Gundam, Rau Le Creuset enters the fray to ensure that the war builds to a crescendo of devastation. Three lone ships and a handful of people are all that stand between humanity and total destruction.』

『AsMobile Suit Gundam Seedcontinues, the struggle between the "Naturals" of the Earth Alliance Forces and the genetically enhanced "Coordinators" of ZAFT escalates. Although he's a Coordinator, Kira Yamato has been fighting for the Naturals aboard the Archangel in a series of contests that pit him against his childhood friend, Athrun Zala of ZAFT. As the two teen-agers are acemechapilots, even major battles ultimately hinge on their man-to-man/Gundam-to-Gundamduels. Adding to the emotional complications are the loyalties Kira and Athrun feel towards their friends, both living and dead, and their affection for the rebellious princesses Cagalli and Flay. Anthrun's ex-fiancée, singer Lacus Clyne, makes both young men realize the futility of the war they're caught up in. When the Earth Alliance and ZAFT begin deploying atomic weapons, the need to end the conflict and establish peace becomes urgent. Kira, Cagalli, Athrun, and Lacus triumph over their violent superior officers in time to prevent a nuclear holocaust. The emotional struggles of the characters provide the setting for the many battles involving increasingly advanced mobile suits, which take place on the surface of the Earth, under water and, most spectacularly, in outer space.Gundam Seeddelivers the blend of fantastic battles, splendidly designed robots, conflicted loyalties, and emotional entanglements that fans ofYoshiyuki Tomino’sGundamuniverse love and expect. Episodes 21 through 50 were recut into the featuresMobile Suit Gundam SEED: The Faraway Dawn (Movie 2)andMobile Suit Gundam SEED: The Rumbling Sky (Movie 3). (A Pleasant Surprise.)
『I've watched a lot of Anime lately. I have always liked the action/adventure type anime, but this is one of the first ones I've watched that wasn't really focused on any sort of action. I checked it out mainly because I was tired of my daughter making me watch iCarly all the time and since we like watching TV together I set off in search of some Anime shows she might like.

I'd intended to watch just one or two episodes to see if it was too violent or suggestive. She's 10, so I have to be careful what she watches. I ended up watching the whole series while I was at work over the last week or so. I'm not afraid to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I won't mind watching it again with her. I wasn't really concerned with the brief scenes of nudity in this series. It wasn't anything more than a flash here and there which I can stomach. We've watched Ranma 1/2 for a long time so I'm used to the cultural differences. I wouldn't suggest it for young children, but with supervision, I don't think there's anything too racy. They see worse just turning on the TV these days.

I have to say after watching shows like this that I can see why so many people enjoy Anime. The concepts aren't dumbed down because it's a cartoon. So many American cartoons seem to think that children aren't capable of understanding subtlety. This series does not. The characters are deeply flawed in their own respects and make mistakes. Even Rin isn't perfect. I have to agree with most--I would have liked to have seen a longer story. But honestly, I think this is a story you could return to a year later and still have material to cover. Plus I like the idea of telling a story from start to finish and not killing the characters over changing writers and new creative directions that happens in American series TV.

I really enjoyed this show, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants something different from the standard faire. It was an enjoyable experience. Funimation has a knack for bringing us good stuff.』

(Quick Review: Its surpriesenly good)
『I have to admit though, the only decent part of this series is the first disc because its silly and light hearted. Everything after that is all drama and a little to emotional than I thought. I didn't expect this anime to be this emotional or this dramatical and that caught me off guard. I dont have to go into detail, the past reviews already did this.

This is a good anime though and I didn't expect it. If you dont like emotional anime though, this might not be for you, but its still really good. Its not corny, its not lame and I dont think I have found a stupid part in this entire series after watching it.

This is for mature audiences only though. There are many scenes where the girls are dressed extremely skimply, shower scenes and you do get to see nipples (Sia, Keade, Asa-Sempai(I think)). If I heard correctly though, Shuffle! was a hentai game made into an anime, so its expected to have adult themes. Primula also does a lot of sex jokes to. This is kinda expected considering she is loli and in a lot of the anime and video games that has loli, their sense of humor is sexual, aggressive and very suggestive.

I honestly can't say anything bad about this anime because I enjoyed it. However like I mentioned before, everything past CD2 in this complete series gets very emotional and dramatic which caught me off guard. And the girls are hot, but its anime and its expected. Any anime that I enjoy will get 5 stars, and I enjoyed this one.』

(From Sleazy Origins Comes a Good Anime)
『Beautiful high school girls, a clueless but likeable guy, magic, angst, and quite a bit of fan service - Shuffle! is a fine example of the harem genre in anime. Who would guess this anime, with its tender moments and sweet-natured plot, originated as an eroge (erotic dating game). There may be some people who approach this series expecting (or fearing) the same content as the game, including the game's multiple alternate endings and pornographic scenes. Wrong. While the anime does take every available opportunity to flash panties and a few breasts, the series stays cleaner than your average primetime drama (think Desperate Housewives). It's not for the under-13 set but those who enjoyed Love Hina and Tenchi Muyo will also love Shuffle!.

One thing to expect from this series is great voice acting from Jerry Jewell (well-known as Kyo from Fruits Basket) and Monica Rial (too many memorable roles to mention) as well as Funimation regulars Carrie Savage, Caitlin Glass, and Cherami Leigh, among others.

In short, there really isn't any reason to not give this anime a try. You can even watch free episodes on Funimation's website to see if you like it before you buy it.』

(A Real Piece of Art)
『Well, initially, when my friend got on me about watching this series, and I heard what it was about, I was a little skeptical about trying it out. I did the research on the series, and found out that it was adapted from a Japanese adult (hentai) video game on the computer. I wanted to start out this review by saying that there is very minimal adult material in this series. There's a bunch of fan service, but close to no nudity.
In Shuffle! the main character, Rin Tsuchimi is put in a situation (which you'll see as the series develops) where he must decide upon the girl he really loves. You'll meet some real over-the-top characters as it starts up.
They did a really good job with drawing the characters and environment; I was actually quite surprised. The theme song is rather catchy, in my opinion (coming from a person who normally detests that type of music). The dialog really isn't all that bad; there's a few corny jokes by today's standards, but I think it actually complements the series nicely. The actual story of it, without spoiling anything, was overall moving. There were a couple moments where I feel that it was a little too dramatic when I look at the series overall, but it was well done nonetheless.
All in all, I can't say there's too much wrong with this series at all, and it's definitely in my favorite pile. If you're a fan of cute girls, comedy, and school time drama, I'd recommend this to you.』

(Shuffle off to get this series.)
『Shuffle is a fairly standard harem comedy that is not ground breaking, yet is rather entertaining nontheless. It has decent characters and a rather good plotline.』
『Ten years ago, the gateway to the Realm of the Gods and the Realm of the Demons was opened. Soon afterwards, the gods and the demons began migrating to our world. Now there are places where gods, demons and humans all study together… Such as our school, Verbena Academy.

(He's really not into you!)
『The sale of the dvd was flawless it arrived with-in the time frame and in the condition they said it would be in. thank you』

(Fantastic Four - World's Greatest Heroes - The Complete First Season....)
『To be honest, I've been a casual Fantastic Four fan most of my life. Picking up an issue here or there is usually how I'd catch up with what was going on in their comic. There were other Marvel characters that I had more of a connection with, sadly. Thanks to my fascination with animation over the last year and the fact that I needed a good 'Superhero' fix, I decided to get the complete first season of Fantastic Four:World's Greatest Heroes. The show itself is about a group of superheroes that gain their powers after cosmic ray exposure. Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) is a scientist who can stretch his body like a rubber band. Ben Grimm (The Thing) is super strong and almost indestructible. Susan Storm (The Invisible Woman) can turn invisible and create force fields at will while her somewhat younger brother Johnny (The Human Torch) can manipulate fire at will. What sets this show apart from other incarnations of the Fantastic Four is the look of the show. Moonscoop gave this show a more anime look to it. It's really colorful with a blend of 2-D digital animation with 3-D digital animation. Another thing is its' humor which is spot-on with the comics. Other Marvel alumni make an appearance such as: The Hulk, She-Hulk, Iron Man, The Sub-Mariner, and more.

The 26 episodes include nine episodes never broadcast in America and are arranged in the order that they were meant to be shown. Episodes include: audio commentary, three featurettes("From Origins To Animation","Rise Of The Rogues", "Traveling To New Dimensions") which deal with the origins of the FF-Various FF Villains-the show's design and animation process and more.

I love this new approach to the Fantastic Four and am glad I bought the first season DVD set. I highly recommend it.

(Best Fantastic Four Cartoon Yet!!!)
『This is easily the best F4 cartoon made yet. The personalities and chemistry of the group is pretty spot on the those of the comic. For the first time ever we get to see Ronan and Accuser and Dragon Man in animated form. If your a Marvel fan, you've gotta pick this up. I'm very happy with this purchase and have thorougly enjoyed it.』

(Best Marvel Series yet)
『After borrowing the first volume from the local library, I was pretty well turned off to the series, but then there was a discount copy of volume 2 at BigLots...after that, I was hooked. I definitely enjoyed the skrull and Accuser story arcs that spanned several episodes in that volume. I decided that it warranted another look, and I wasn't disappointed. The writing is witty and memorable, and it was with the outside chance of seeing the frightful four, that I wanted to get this one, thinking that the zombie four might make an appearance. Still, even though Galactus is missing, this is probably Marvel's best animated product yet - the animation is simply superb - like a good penciler.』

(Worlds Greatest Cartoon Heroes)
『Ok, so maybe its not the worlds greatest cartoon about heroes, but this box set is pretty amazing still. I was VERY skeptical about this series when it started airing on TV. I didn't fall in love with the look right away. I hated the movies and this seemed to be based off of the movie version of the team. Things were not looking good for the latest animated FF. Then something happened that changed how I felt completely: I watched the show. IT'S AWESOME! The animation is great. The character design totally works. The voice acting really suits the characters and the animation is beautiful. I watched one of these DVDs recently on a friends MAC and it looked even better! The colors and clarity really leaped out on a higher definition television. But back to the boxed set:

This set contains over 20 episodes. Most of the major FF villians are featured and even some heroes make appearances on a few episodes. Marvel comics fans will be happy to learn that the main producers of the show are Craig Kyle and Chris Yost. These guys have a huge love for the Marvel U and really treat the FF with respect. You can tell that it's comics fans who are writing the stories and not some disinterested Hollywood writer who's just getting handed a check. There are some visual elements put in there just for the fans, even if they have nothing to do with the episode plot-wise. Little touches like that were some of what really drew me into the show.

I've read some bad reviews for this series and I really couldn't disagree more. This series is wonderful, funny, exciting and just gets better and better as the episodes go on. I was reluctant to give this a shot, but I'm so glad that I did. Any fans of the Fantastic Four comics or movies should definitely own this. Fans of superhero animation should get a copy as well. This is a series that I will definitely watch again and again. My only fear is that there may not be a season 2...』

(Great Product)
『Great product, all episodes but not the movies. If you get this, buy The end of evangelion, not death and rebirth.』

(Updated visuals/audio (from the Platinum) + extras)
『The Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum Perfect Collection is the best DVD set to get if you don't already own an Evangelion DVD set. This set has the UPDATED visual and audio transfers from the previous Platinum release. But it also has the extra features that were not found in that Platinum release (which was pretty much a barebones release). So if you don't already own a set, this Platinum Perfect collection is the best one to get.』

(amazing anime)
『saw this anime on the anime network a long time ago and i must say its deeply amazing, the action in this is top noch.』

(Buy the other box set!!!)
『I agree with A. Andrew "PartyInMyMouth", I bought it because I thought the extras would worth it, and I never had a box set from NGEvangelion before, if you are for the episodes themselves, buy the cheaper box set wich comes with the director's cut, and you will save your money from buying something that does not have anything great that won't come in the cheaper box set.
Ps: this 2 stars is for the series, the package deserve ZERO.』

(The Apocalypse of Evangelion)
『I love this anime a lot. It is my second favorite anime, second only to "Princess Mononoke." I love this anime for its representation of oppression.

In the series, Shinji, Rei and Asuka are fighting against the evil Angels in their Evangelion robots. However, the pilots get psychologically scarred when the robots get hurt. Unlike Gundam, these suits of armor cause nothing but pain. The adults force the children to fight these powerful beings. And the pilots of the Angels could even be just like them.

The director of the series leaves many questions unanswered. However, there is one message that is clear. The apocalypse is coming for their hometown, New-Tokyo 3. The apocalypse is coming for the entire world in this series. In fact, the entire fate of the world rests in the hands of NERV, the corporation in charge of destroying angels. NERV is funded by SEALE. And the progression of NERV and SEALE's Instrumentality Project could put the entire world in jeopardy.

It's not hard to see why Evangelion is one of the most revered series in Japan. This series exposes the problems of elitism in Japan that still need to be resolved, even to this day. Despite the scientific mumbo-jumbo and the abstract ending, this series is awesome, and is not to be taken lightly.

(New in Perfect Collection)
Perfect collection features all the special features that were excluded in the Platinum Complete collection. Although this is yet another new edition of the entire series, this is worth getting for either of the two reasons:
1. I haven't seen Evangelion, but I want to watch it.
2. I want all the director's commentaries and special features.』

『"Neon Genesis Evangelion was anime's perfect storm. It's a phenomenon like Star Wars, Harry Potter, or the Matrix. Plenty of works are going to try to reproduce it, but ultimately it will stand apart." - Aint It Cool News』

(This is where Pokemon was good)
『This brings back nice memories for when I was younger. I am 19 and I still like pokemon, but only until the end of the master quest series. Awesome product』

(A fun Pokemon summer adventure)
『With Pokemon now over 10 season's old, it is hard to imagine that there was a day where there was only just 150 Pokemon.

And Ash Ketchum was traveling with Misty and Tracy.

With Brock gone to live at Professor Ivy, Ash and Misty found themselves tempory alone until they bumped into Tracy, a Pokemon watcher.

Also Pikachu and Togepi are there with them all the way in this DVD series.

The second season of Pokemon was perhaps the shortest and Ash Ketchum was able to just go though 4 unique Pokemon gym battles where the rules apply to more than just battle, Ash also had to surf, build a Bobslead out of ice, and also this was the first time where double battles were used.

Adventures on the Orange Islands is for any old school Pokemon fan who always remembered the old Ash and Misty romance. Episodes like Misty meets her match and Where art thou Pokemon provide a few hints towards an Ash x Misty relationship.

And also even when Brock was not there trying to make his moves on all the girls, Tracy was a good replacement as intead of trying to pull the romantic moves on all the Nurse Joys and Officer Jennys he was instead drawing all the girls in his sketch book.

Tracy of course loves to draw pokemon in his sketch book and that is also the same when he loves to draw all the girls that he meets allong his journey to become a Pokemon Watcher and his ultimate dream is to some day work for the famous Professor Oak.

So for anyone who loves Pokemon but who does not want to watch a whole series of episodes where Ash works so hard to reach a certain Pokemon league competition only to be unlucky to be defeated, then this one is for you as The Orange Island series was short but worth full of good Pokemon nostaliga and Ash finally wins a Pokemon tornument in the Orange Islands in an amazing match against a powerful opponent.

5 stars』

(Get the individual Orange Island DVD's! They're much better!)
『Ok I'll admit, I haven't seen this particular product. But I have seen most Pokemon DVD's and I read one of the reviews, so I will say this:

When you compare the Orange Island DVD box sets and the Indigo box sets with the original releases, here is what you get:

1. Ever since the Master Quest box sets where finished Viz has been steering clear of offering English subtitles. This is one feature the individual volumes almost always have. Why do we need English subtitles? Well I for one think that they are very helpful because sometimes we just don't understand what a person is saying and subtitles really clear that up. I'm not joking! We are not as nearly as good at understanding our own language as we pretend. That's not to say that we are dence.

2. The menu's are much nicer and cuter in the individual volumes than they are in the box sets.

3. Sometimes in these new box sets the intros, themes, transitions, and endings get mixed up or left out completely. One reviewer said it was because, the endings for example, somehow messes with the video quality.
That's stupid! In all the endings I have seen, and I own just about all of the Pokemon DVD's, I have never noticed anything that takes away from the quality of the program. And besides, if you don't want to watch the ending you can always push the "Next Chapter" button on your DVD remote to start the next episode.

Here is my suggestion for the Orange Islands. Look up "Pokemon Orange Islands" in the Amazon search engine. You will find the new box set and the individual volumes. Buy the individuals! Wether it is from Amazon themselves or from Amazon sellers (for a cheaper price). It is well worth it! I have the Individual Orange Island volumes myself and they are super fantastic!

『After a stop in Pallet Town, Ash, Misty and Brock set out to find a rare and mysterious Pokéball for Professor Oak. Their quest leads them to the Orange Islands, where Ash decides to battle in the Orange League Tournament. With new friends to meet, new Pokémon to discover, and tough new trainers to challenge them, the adventures never end for Ash and his friends!

Includes 36 episodes of Pokémon fun and adventure!』

『TheOrange Islandscontinuity (1999) serves as a bridge between the longerPokémonstorylines about theIndigo League(1997) andJohto League(1999) adventures. Professor Oak sends Ash, Misty and Brock to the Orange Islands to retrieve the mysterious GS Pokéball found by fellow researcher Professor Ivy. When they reach her lab, moonstruck Brock decides to stay with the Professor and her three female assistants. Ash and Misty are soon joined by Tracey, a "Pokémon Watcher" in training who sketches. After the perpetually amorous Brock, he makes a rather bland companion, although the caricatures of Groucho Marx and Clint Eastwood they encounter liven things up a bit. The characters roam aimlessly from island to island, escaping the snares of the inept Team Rocket, who stalk them in a submarine disguised as a giant Magicarp and a balloon that lookslike Meowth. Ash wins the Coral Eye, Sea Ruby, Spike Shell, and Jade Star badges, which qualify him for the Orange League Tournament, where he finally learns to make his recalcitrant Charizard obey him. These stories lack a narrative arc: Ash's battles at the various gyms don't escalate, nor is there any sense of urgency to the mission to return the GS ball. The adventure concludes with Ash, Misty, and Tracey returning to Pallet Town, just in time to encounter the long-absent Gary. Professor Oak invites Tracey to become his assistant, so Brock, who's been jilted by Ivy and her assistants, sets out with Ash and Misty for the Johto League. (Rated A, suitable for All Ages: minor cartoon violence.--Charles Solomon

(Hauntingly beautiful)
『I actually first encountered "Mushi shi" in the 2006 live-action film directed by Akira-legend Otomo Katsuhiro. I loved the quiet beauty of the film, and was intrigued to see the animated version. It was, in a world, mesmerizing.

This series is much more beautiful than the film, and because of the length of the series it is a richer and deeper adventure. I have rarely seen animation of this quality, especially in a television series. The green tone and emphasis on nature bring to mind some of the lovelier scenes of Miyazaki's work as in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.

The storyline is fairly easy to describe. It follows the journey of a "mushi shi", or "mushi master" named Ginko, as he travels around and helps people who are having problems with mushi. (Funimation was quite wise with the translation of this anime by the way. The word mushi, when written with this kanji, is a difficult one to translate, and I have seen people calling this series "Bugmaster" which is a gross mistake. In this situation it was much better to keep the original Japanese word intact). An anthology series, Ginko rarely encounters the same people twice, and each episode is fresh and original. The series can be watched in any order.

The tone of "Mushi shi" is very quiet and somber, balancing on the edge of being a ghost story. There is a definite supernatural theme here, and the mushi themselves remind me of the "rods" creatures that occasionally turn up on cryptozoology series like Monsterquest. Anyone who loves Japanese supernatural stories, especially those that use the mystical elements of the natural world, will love "Mushi shi".

Special props also get called out to Funimation for their presentation of this series. I have never seen such a long series packaged so compactly. There are four disks in two slim cases, which takes up hardly any space at all. With my DVD collection as large as it is, these kind of space-saving innovations are really appreciated.

Like other releases in Funimation's "Viridian Collection," this box set of "Mushi-shi" is a re-release offering a more "bare bones" presentation at a lower price.』

(Mushishi Product review)
『Came after about a week with nice, safe packaging.
There are only four discs but rest assured all the episodes are on them.
Mushishi is a great show and I highly reccomend this for any anime collector.』

(The Wonders of Nature Explored and Celebrated)
『As an avid Anime viewer, I watch a lot of Anime of varying genres. Mushi-shi is the story of nature, from a fantasy-entrenched perspective. In a different existence, there are life forms called Mushi, which are essentially the purest life forms, that live among people. Usually, they go undetected and do not disturb human beings. Occasionally, however, they sometimes can have negative effects, depending on what they require to survive. Some feed off light, while others feed off the gods themselves. Mushi-shi takes place in a much older period in Japan. Ginko, the main character, is a Mushi master, who travels around helping people with Mushi-related problems. Each episode tells the story of a different issue created by Mushi and how Ginko solves the issue. Unlike other Mushi masters, Ginko doesn't simply resort to killing the Mushi, and instead finds ways for people to live with them.

Mushi-shi is not a series that employs action, suspense, character development, or a connected plot. Instead, it uses beautiful artwork, interesting twists, and philosophical messages to remain an impressively unique series. 26 episodes long, this series is long enough to have an incredible diversity in stories told, and plenty of non-recurring characters. It also stays short enough to not overstay its welcome. Any longer, and the series would likely have lost it's value as a series with vague and transparent continual plot.

What Mushi-shi truly has going for it is it's environmental beauty. Everything is serene and peaceful, and the series has a definite air of mysticism to rival any Anime ever made. The Viridian Collection version has Both Japanese and English voice work (with English subtitles) and the special features are numerous and interesting. Mushi-shi is by far my favorite Anime ever made. Watch it if you desire a slower paced series focused more on philosophical virtues and less on action.』

『There’s no effective way to describe the mushi – They simply are. They simply have been since life first began. As with many other things, man has forgotten how to see. And just as it’s difficult to describe the feel or texture of an object to someone who’s never held it in his own hands, to onewho’s never seen the mushi…

Between this world and the next, there is a point where it becomes impossible to distinguish between plant and animal, between life and death. It is a place man was never meant to tread… This is where you will find the mushi.

Neither good nor evil, they are life in its purest form. An unseen river reshaping the path of man, through their very presence we are changed.Vulgar and strange, they have inspired fear in humans since the dawn of time and have, over the ages, come to be known as“mushi.”』

(Must Have!!!)
『This is a must have for any Fullmetal fan! The box sets are gorgeous and make any anime collection.』

(Superb series)
『Fullmetal Alchemist, in my opinion, is one of the best series out there. The anime is funny, moving and engaging. I would recommend this series to anyone and I have. It's fantastic. Unfortunately I bought this before the Season 1 boxset came out, so it's a bit annoying. For those considering this purchase, it seems to be a better value to buy the entire season boxset instead of part 1 and part 2 separately. It does seem pricy but it's definitely worth the money. Shop around for the best deals, this dvd should be in everyone's collection.』

(One of best anime's that I've ever seen)
『Too be honest FMA is probably is one of the best if not the best anime I've ever seen and I've quite a bit. This anime has everything from great story and action scenes to great characters that have some of most amazing character development that I've ever seen. I used to think the holy grail of anime was cowboy bebop (one of my all time favs) but after watching FMA im not so sure anymore. Watch this anime you owe it to yourself』

(Fullmetal Alchemist Season One Part One.)
『Fullmetal Alchemist was shown to me when it was on Adult Swim. My friend told me about the story and he reccommends watching it. Putting things aside that day, I watch the third episode and i was hooked instantly. The next day i went to my house and recorded all episode of Fullmetal Alchemist on my DVR.

Introduction to Fullmetal Alchemist (No Spoilers)
Fullmetal Alchemist is about two young boys name Edward Elric and Alfonso Elric bringing their dead mother back to life using Alchemy. What made this boxset important is that the Season One Part One sets the plot and action instantly when the anime starts. If you are new to the anime, You might think it's a little kids anime but it's not. Fullmetal Alchemist includes war, violent fights, some gory scenes and some rasicm. What makes this stand out is the will of the two young boys to bring their mother back to life. They will do anything to bring back their mother if it means harming their body.

The boxset comes with amazing artwork of the anime and a unique way of placing the discs (contains 4 discs). The boxset also comes with the name and the number of the episodes and a awesome circle sign on the disc itself. It comes with booklets explains where everything to place and the characters profile.

The DVD comes with all the episodes of season one part one, subtitles and extras. The extras includes Production artwork, trailers, Clean Opening and Clean Ending.

The series itself i heared was amazing and the whole series comes in 4 boxsets including a movie. Since i haven't finish the series yet, I'm hoping that i encouage people to buy this anime and watch how Edward Elric and Alfonso Elric paths unfold..

(One I thoroughly enjoyed.)
『This is a story of Alchemy and the consequences of using such power. Two brothers..Edward and Alphonse break the rules of Alchemy and try to bring back their dead mother. What they bring back is not their mother and it cost them more than they ever thought. Thus begins the story of the Fullmetal Alchemist and his brother who are trying to right a wrong and just get their lives back to normal.
The story is 51 episodes and the movie "The Conquerer of Shambala". This series has so many characters and it does lag at times but it is necessary in order for character development. That is the only way you can understand the motives behind so many of those characters actions.
This is something I have watched a few times..it has great replay value. It is one of my top 3 along with Trinity Blood&Death Note. I highly recommend this.
The only draw back for me is that sometimes when they get hit in the head they have swirling lines where their eyes should be. I do not care for that type of anime and this has its share of that but not so much that it takes away from series.』

『Under stormy skies, Edward and Alphonse Elric exploited the clandestine science of Alchemy in attempt of the forbidden– To resurrect their dearly departed mother. But every art form has its taboos and every science its laws not to be broken. The tragic failure of the young brothers unleashed an unholy reaction that ripped their bodies apart and their innocence asunder.

Four years later, an evil lurks behind the false face of freedom, its growth unchecked. A lone State Alchemist combs the countryside in search of a mythological stone. If found, the stone could amplify natural talents and harness a power equal to the restoration of things once held precious, now lost. If found, the stone would also allow the State Military to senselessly obliterate countless more in the ongoing struggle. The youngest State Alchemist in history is soon faced with harsh truth: The power to create is but a breath away from the power to destroy…』

("Pokemon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu" - finally!!!!!!)
『Despite the limited information (and none on Amazon) online, it would only make sense for the skipped two-part Riolu special to be included on this third and final box set for the Pokémon DP Battle Dimension season. Not only does it finish out the season with the remaining 16 episodes, the second disc (volume 6) includes the illusive "Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu" (totaling 18), and this time correctly mentions Hunter J on the back of the box set (unlike Vol. 2). This is undoubtedly the best episode on the entire box set and worth mentioning that this is where you will find it!

Also included are the remaining three Pokémon Summer academy episodes that were first effected by my faulty VCR (see my review of Battle Dimension Vol. 2), and despite how I've always felt about holding out hope for subs, I still wanted the dubbed version! The budding friendship between Ash and Angie (which later continues in "If the Scarf Fits...") makes up some of this collection's best moments, along with an understanding between Ash's newly-evolved Grotle and Paul's Torterra ("Aiding the Enemy"), and Ash's battle with Barry, a blindly loyal fan of Paul's ("Barry's Busting Out All Over!"). Again, when did the dub get good?!

Okay, there are a few clunkers toward the end like "A Lean Mean Team Rocket Machine" and the poorly-dubbed "Sleepless in Pre-Battle" (Crescelia vs. Darkrai [if you want to see Darkrai in the animé, get the movie "The Rise of Darkrai"!]), but overall, it is absolutely worth owning.

REGARDING BOTH BOX SETS 2 and 3:
After being a Pokemon fan for so many years, DP Battle Dimension (season 11) was by far the best overall season yet. Our hero Ash's devotion and passion to protect Pokemon shines brighter than ever opposite his heartless rival Paul and cruel Pokemon hunter J...
