(An Entertaining Romantic Triangle With A Heartfelt Finale)

『The series was a nice sequel to the more slightly disturbing Please Teacher Series, though even with the story of two girls who are trying to see if their the twin sister of the boy they grow to have romantic feelings for might be a little weird nothing to r-rated happens unlike the ending episode of the previous show mentioned. The episodes though just thirteen are still very entertaining to watch and see how the various couples form between the high school kids, there are a few serious moments built into each episodes but kept light enough where you aren't to down on watching them. The animation for the series was great and the voice cast for the Japanese and English actors/actresses were great as well and the extras are pretty decent as well considering the price for this set. There is of course some nudity in the series but nothing to drastic to really worry about and while there are some fantasizing on certain romantic situations but again nothing to worry about to much as unlike with Please Teacher there won't be any sex scene(Not to Hardcore though) to complain about. So if you're a fan of anime shows like Fruit Basket or Shuffle give this series a try you might just be shocked at how enjoyable the show really is.』

『Unlike some of the other reviewers I actually liked this better than "Please Teacher!" (dorky high school boy meets hottie teacher and they fall for each other - kind of creepy to me). Onegai Twins is an almost-too-sweet story about 3 young people trying to find their place in life with each others' support. The three were abandoned by their parents as small children and feel they have no home, no place to call their own, until a TV report about UFOs over a lake in Japan pans past a house they each have a picture of. The three come to this town to find answers to their past and their place in the world.

The animation is good, the characters likeable, and the comedy sometimes raunchy. There are bath scenes with the girls but all the "naughty bits" hidden or obscured. It's a short anime series with a satifying, classy end. Highly recommended for teens and older.』

『I really wish that the voice actors were better! The man that played Yuki literally sounded like Microsoft SAM! If you can get over the awful acting, then this is a really cute yaoi anime!』

『First of all, I'm not a huge anime fan, but I started watching this on Anime Network (cable channel) and I was hooked from the first episode and actually bought my first anime DVD. Yes, the two main characters are gay and Yuki has some hokey lines, but it's more than made up for in the humor and the character development. Warning, it can be a little slapsticky -- with the former CIA agent manager, a fey idol with a toy rabbit, the lovelorn fiance and Shuichi's goofy antics -- but the ending seemed to make it all worth it. I only wished there was a sequel.』

『I don't normally like this type of show but my friend made me watch it and I loved it, its so funny and Shuichi is hilarious and its a really good show it and the music is so cool its hard to sit still because all you want to do is dance』

(A Must-Have Series)

『If you are hesitating or are on the fence about buying this series, DON'T WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE! Gravitation is the Platinum standard of shounen-ai and is a fantastic anime series period. While the manga is sensational and at times edge-of-your-seat suspenseful, the anime series is just as gripping, and the characters are rich, colorful, and beautiful. Seeing everyone's favorite sullen novelist Eiri Yuki in full color animation is well worth the purchase, but that's just the icing on a sweet, sweet cake.

The songs are great of course, and the English voice cast is actually more than just tolerable -- they do a really good job. The box itself makes for a beautiful display, and each of the 4 disc cases features a bold, colorful, sexy rendition of Shuichi and Eiri. The extra features are fun and informative, especially the liner notes which detail certain specific details in some episodes that may be missed or confusing.

The few love/kissing scenes are extremely tame -- hence the shounen-ai label and not yaoi -- but sweet nonetheless. There are mushy, "awwwww"-inspiring moments for those that like that, funny moments, guns, laughs, cries, and everything in-between. There's something for everyone. Even my hard-core action anime-loving friends enjoy Gravitation. There's just something about it that hooks you in and won't let go...

All in all, this is one of my favorite anime series of all times, and is one of the most beautiful dvd boxsets I've ever owned. While you may be able to find it less expensive on another site, BUY IT. You will NOT be disappointed. After all, It's...Gravitation...』

『Focused more on the romance side than the action side, but still delivers a good helping of both. If steel angel kurumi was your cup of tea then this is definately worth looking at』

『This anime is a tear jerker. I loved it but the ending was very sad like Kannazuki No Miko. If you enjoy romance animes that don't turn out like their suppose to then get this if you want the anime to be heartfelt but everything is as it should happen all happy then don't get this.』

(Enjoyable Short Fantasy Series)

『Fans of Kannazuki No Miko should really enjoy this show (and will especially enjoy a certain couple character reference!) Those who have not seen Kannazuki No Miko or Steel Angel Kurumi (both of which are referenced in this anime) can certainly still enjoy it, though! The art and animation is beautiful, crisp, and vibrant with bright colors. The English voice actors do a fine job, as well. Every voice fits the character - even though a couple may grate on some less tolerant people's nerves.

The story revolves around Kuu, a girl who feels empty and useless who dreams of her "prince." She lives in Academia - a country of schools created after a disaster several years prior. One day she meets a man who reminds her of the prince in her dreams, and he introduces her to the "Absolute Angels" - beautiful creatures of power and destruction. The story is full of fantasy and romance.

I will say that the "mecha" fights are far better animated and much more interesting and convincing than in Kannazuki no Miko. The story also has slightly better pacing. Although it can be easily compared to Kannazuki no Miko, I would NOT consider this a yuri show. There is one lesbian couple, but the focus is on a male/female couple. The music is ok, but leaves much to be desired compared to other similar shows (i.e. Kannazuki!)

The product is great - a 2 disc thin pack that won't take up too much room. The box is pretty and the disc slip covers are reversable with beautiful (if a bit scandelous) art. DVD menus are simple, but work. Extras are limited to clean op and ending, credits, and Funimation previews. The subtitles for the opening and closing songs include Romanji and English translation (alternates by episode).』

(Great/rare themes but not the most "enticing" series)

『Elfen Lied has many good qualities to it. It has some of the most unused themes found in anime such as identity, alienation, abuse, jealousy,revenge, regret, and values in/of humanity. It can show you that while "superheroes" can be super, even the average human can be as bad as the villian. The series shows a good amount of nudity but does this in a not so goofy way ( not everyones boobs are the size of mellons ). It is also one of those series that you will continue to refer to several decades after you have seen it.It has its moments that can truely remind us of what being alive can be like.

Elfen Lied also has some not so great qualities too. I personally don't mind blood,gore, or even bodily dismemberment, but this series was a little to into it. It felt to me that at times, either the staff that produced this was both emotional/pissed at someone, or that they are on the virge of cannibalism. But either way the amount of blood and gore and dismemberment took away from the overall enjoyment of the scene and moment it was trying to portray. I truely get the understanding of the story that they were trying to tell, but I am not sure if Japanese anime was the best medium to present such a story. The length of the series, although not bad, leaves many questions unanswered.

Bottom Line: If you like LORD OF THE FLIES (and its themes), intense(almost slasher movie worthy) levels of blood/gore/violence/ nudity, and if you like stories whose endings leave room for interpretation, then this is for you. If not, then you might find more worth in another anime series.

(One of the worst I ever seen!)

『I been watching anime for only a year now. And this is the 41st title I seen so far, and boy what a rotten experiance... Made me very grumpy indeed. The story totally contradicts itself, its a salad bowl of mixed genres, plus I hated every last one of the characters. The characters are very very annoying. People actually think Nyu is cute. This is by far my most hated character in anything I have ever seen to include that schizo bimbo Yuka. And man, it's so hard to take this terrible series serious. I can go on and on about how the fan service cheapened the horror and the comedy cheapend the romance. But since so many others supposedly see the art behind this. Why bother?』

『This anime is very addictive to watch. If you enjoy a good amount of gore, some nudity here and there, and characters utilizing amazing powers then I would highly recommend this anime. However, there are 3 reasons I didnt give this a five. The killings/ violent acts in this anime are not confined to adults, there are a few instances where kids get sliced up pretty bad. Also the ending could definitely be more complete, not to mention that this is fairly short at only 13 episodes. Even so this show has a great musical score and surprisingly good storyline and I would say paying $30 for 13 episodes is a great deal and definitely recommend it.』

The foreground/character artists did not nearly enough to make the characters "real". I was very disappointed in the production... too much flash-back fill, rehashing the same event over and over.
