I find myself watching them when I just want to relax and smile. It is an easy series to sit down and watch an episode or two.』
(The fourth season box set of Ranma 1/2) 『This set contains a total of twenty-four episodes. The first four discs contain five episodes, while the fifth disc contains four episodes and the special features.
The special features menu contains five options: "Line Art Gallery," "Textless Opening," "Textless Ending," "Cast List," and "Actor Profiles." As you would expect, the textless opening and ending are just the opening and ending credits without the text. However, it should be noted that for the textless opening, it is a textless version of the original Japanese opening (the English graphic for the title that covers the Japanese graphic is absent from this version of the opening). The line art gallery has twenty-eight pages of model sketches of the characters that appear on this DVD box set. The cast list is a list of the English and Japanese voice actors for each character. The actor profiles are selected filmographies for the English voice actors.
Ranma 1/2 Outta Control is a rather "low frills" DVD set, and the extras are similar to what can be found on Ranma 1/2 Anything-Goes Martial Arts and Ranma 1/2 Hard Battle. While these features are better than what appeared on the first Ranma 1/2 DVD box set, I wish an effort had been made to track down some of the English voice actors and include interviews with them as extras on the DVD box sets.
This season of Ranma 1/2 introduces the principal for Furinkan High School, a new disciple for the Tendo Dojo (who only appears in one episode), and a character that appeared in the second season of Ranma 1/2 makes a return appearance. This season also saw a couple of stories that ran for more than one episode (these kind of story arcs were all but gone during the third season of Ranma 1/2).
Ranma 1/2 is very enjoyable for an older audience (16 and up), and really should be in an anime fan's DVD collection.』
(Still Great But Next Time Hope Better Video Quality) 『I just got Ranma season 4 and 5 and for the video and audio quality I suggest reading my review of season 2 the qaulity is about the same that being said the series is still great as well as affordable.I do want to point out two things though I found some reviewers complaining about the topless scenes of Ranma you have to understand in Japan as well as Most of Europe topless or almost full nudity is not as taboo over there as it is here in the U.S. so most people from these countries don't find it very offensive as some people here do.Another thing is there have been some misleading information that the series has adult sex scenes in them that is not true except for some topless scenes in some episodes Ranma is mostly comedic do not believe this false accusation. If some people don't like the series just don't watch it do not give out such discrediting stories of the anime.I am now just waiting for the final two seasons to come out I just hope the do more with the video on these last two seasons.』
(better then i thought.!) 『Yea this season had some very funny episodes, ok so every one said this season sucked but it wasent all that bad,Alright so in this season Ranma gets a new voice acter Richard Cox The same voice that plays inuyasha yes its weird out first because his voice seems much deeper but once you get to about the 3 disc you start to get used to it but its still Ranma!,But other that the new voice acter this season is pretty good well at least i liked it and also in this season Ranma and Akane start to become more close but they still fight but in a more friendly way,It Doesnt that much muti episode arcs mostly just 30 min single episodes that are just Fun and funny all the charicter are there but theres less shampoo in this season also i dident really care for the first disc ,but still this season has some really good episodes that you wont want to miss if your a huge ranma fan like me but if you dont like ranma that much i wouldent gett this season.』 『Outta Control

The art is well done and the characters are generally compelling. The Gnosis are the type of antagonists that you love to hate. Then comes KOS-MOS. While she may appear to be a vixen, KOS-MOS is really an android super hero who may be the only thing that can save the human race. The mysterious KOS-MOS immediately jumps the shark. For starters, she's an unsympathetic character. KOS-MOS' abilities are entirely unbelievable and her design is clearly a desperate attempt to appeal to the adolescent male demographic. While I could have made my peace with a smaller dose of KOS-MOS, she's a central figure. After watching the first disc, I decided that I couldn't go any further. In the spirit of disclosure, I never played the game so my review is entirely based on the merits of the show. Unless you're watching the show as an extension of your love of the video game, like minded anime fans should first check out something like "Starship Operators." "Xenosaga" has much going for it but in the end, there's better anime out there. 』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (A "low frills" DVD set... not much in the way of extras, but great episodes make up for it) 『Ranma 1/2 Anything-Goes Martial Arts is the second season DVD set for Ranma 1/2, and the set includes twenty-two episodes. The first two discs contain five episodes each, while the remaining three have four episodes. The fifth disc is the only one to include any special features.
There are five special features included on the set: "Textless Opening," "Textless End Credits," "Cast List," and "Actor Profiles." The textless opening and end credits are simply the credits without the text. The line art gallery includes several pages of production sketches of the characters. The cast list features the English and Japanese voice actors for each character. The English voice actors have links to selected filmographies. The actor profiles contain the exact same filmographies that are available in the cast list.
This is a rather "low frills" DVD box set, but it does have more in the way of special features than the first season DVD box set had. I applaud them for putting the cast list and filmographies on the set, but I do wish they could have tracked down some of the voice actors and interviewed them to have more in the way of extras.
While the price for this set may be a little high for what you get, the episodes alone are worth the price you pay. This set should really be in any Ranma 1/2 fan's DVD collection.』
(Overview) 『The 2nd Season of Rumiko Takahashi's beloved series "Ranma 1/2" is filled with plenty of action. New characters join the series in this season. Shampoo returns from China. With Shampoo is her great grandmother, a master in martial arts dating back from 3000 years of Chinese Amazon History. Shampoo's suitor, Mousse, follows her from China and bears a grudge against Ranma Saotome. It appears that Shampoo is Ranma's new fiancee according to Amazon Tribal Law. The last character to join this season is myself - a perverted old man who steals ladies underwear and has a thing for female bodies, esp. female Ranma. I am also the master of the School of Anything Goes with Soun Tendo, Genma Saotome, and Ranma Saotome as my disciples. In this season we learn that Akane can't cook, Ryoga and Ranma both learn a new technique, and Ranma will do anything to become a whole man again. Ranma weakness is shown.』
(if you love ranma get this) 『this is my fav season so bifar its so funny and has multi episode arcs and i loved every episode of this so it you love ranma i would get this Five Stars!』
(A worthy 2nd season to the series.) 『This season of Ranma 1/2 has some of the best storylines of the manga. The Breaking Point, The Ice Skating Fight, and the whole plot with Shampoo's Grand Mother.
This season gets 4 stars because this season is where all character development stops (Just like in the manga). This is the season where they start thinking of strange plots and add characters to the plot just to have them there. Personally I think they should have dropped all the one episode plot lines out the window and kept the arc's going.
3/4 of the season is just great! When you get to the tail end starting with the "Spring of drowned man in Japan" eps you know the bad episodes are coming.
Buy it now. It's worth it.』
(Funny Witty Action Anime) 『I just bought the second and third season of Ranma 1/2 and I'm now trying to wait patiently for the rest of the seasons to come out in the thinkpack sets.To many fans of the show who haven't gotten the sets yet I say get them now the pros are great price, you get both english and japanese audio, and the thinpacks help solve space problems on the shelf. The cons are the video quality of the set while ok is still not all that great from time to time when scenes skip you'll see a white line on the top or bottom of the picture many of the anime dvd's in the 90's have this it looks like it was recorded from tape to dvd sometimes. So unlike Inuyasha the video while for the most part clear well still have some faults. If you're just checking out this series the basic storyline is you have Ranma a martial artist who while training with his father in China stumbles across an area of cursed pools each one with a different curse While his father and Ranma are doing some acrobatic martial arts they each fall into a cursed pool Ranma's father who turns into a panda when doused with cold water and Ranma turns into a girl the same way. Most of the series deals with Ranma trying to find a cure for this unusual problem and dealing with a tomboyish fiancee who his father had betrothed him to.The series has some drama but for a lot of the show it's very comedic and light and story plot.So I say if you like Inuyasha get this series while you can I believe that you'll not regret it...』 『Now you can own the complete collection of Ranma 1/2, Season 2 for one low price with the Ranma 1/2 Anything Goes Martial Arts DVD Boxset!

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Boomer Baby) 『Bubblegum Crisis: 7 out of 10: Hot chicks, giant robots, and evil corporations fill every frame of Bubblegum Crisis as does some surprisingly catchy Eighties tunes.
Bubblegum Crisis, like Akira or Macross, is one of those Anime that separate the thirty something Anime fan from this year's crop of snot nosed punk kids. When you think Japanese cartoons, do you think Pokémon or shower scenes. Do you think irritating children or kick ass adults. Do your favorite plots involve the little kids defeating the big evil corporation or adults facing economic hardship and self-sacrifice. Bubblegum crisis is an Anime for the thirty something.
As I settle into my damn kids today voice and distaste for every exaggerated, rapid cut seizure inducing, saccharine piece of crap that passes for entertainment these days. (I am looking your way Cartoon Network). I can sit back and watch full-grown woman destroy some boomers (as well as half of Tokyo) and reminisce about my childhood when cartoon characters swore and a gratuitous nude scene followed every battle.
Is Bubblegum Crisis as good as I remember it? No. The episodes do not flow into each other well and vary in quality. Some of the dubbing is dubious and the live action music videos contained in the extras are simply painful (In a OMG what cheese kind of way).
Bubblegum Crisis allows me to both relieve my childhood and look down upon kids today. What more could I ask for my entertainment dollar.
』
(Hop Scotch) 『This series of 6 episodes has an ongoing battle/theme, but each episode was done by a different producer. The series leaves many un-answered questions, even at the end. But if you enjoy collecting classics get it!』
(Classic anime!) 『The Bubblegum Crisis anime is a classic OVA series and needs to be a part of any fan of either cyberpunk or Japanese animation. Despite the animation for the first three episodes dating from the late 1980s the storylines remain interesting and eminently watchable. A great anime series for your friends to watch if they are over 16 and have never watched anime before or think it is just what is found on Cartoon Network.』
(Good stuff) 『In a "Blade Runner" like future, four vigilante women - the Knight Sabers - assist the AD Police in fighting boomers, living machines not unlike the Replicants from "Blade Runner". The Knight Saber ring leader is Sylia Stingray, a rich, mysterious brunette who is the daughter of the man who created the boomers and whom might actually be a boomer herself. The others include rebellious biker girl Priss Asagiri, aerobics instructor Linna Yamazki and ADP computer hacker Nene. Other characters include ADP man Leon McNichol, a Brad Pitt like pretty boy with high ideals and a jerky attitude as well as a thing for Priss and with Leon is his hilarious partner Daley Wong. Oh and Sylia has a pervert whiz kid for a brother by name of Mackey. The villains include Quincy, chairman of GENOM, the company that produces the boomers, his right hand man Brian J. Mason (killed off too soon) and an obnoxious boomer man named Largo.
A good series overall, but being dated is the least of its problems. Originally slated for 13 episodes, it was cut short at episode 8, leaving many series plot threads unresolved. A sequel series, Bubblegum Crash, was concocted to solve this problem but it didn't help. Also the characters are never as well developed as you would like them to be. The most interesting character, the Knight Saber ringleader Sylia, is never completely explored. Linna had potential, but her subplot involving a friend who was apart of a mafia family was never resolved and most of the time Linna was just ignored. Nene was cute and funny but only had one episode to call her own, the last one. Sadly, most of the series attention was centered on Priss, who somehow became the most popular character of the series, so much in fact that although she was originally suppose to die, a fan backlash saved her; I think this was due partly to the fact that she was voiced by a then popular Japanese singer. But Priss herself was not that interesting of a character: all her episodes basically revolve around her seeking revenge for a minor character friend that we the audience sometimes didn't even get to know in depth. Priss became repetitive and dull after a certain point. I could never quite figure out what Leon saw in her.
But the series itself is not inherently bad. Animation is still pretty good in most of the eps (excluding the first one, which is a bit herky jerky, and the last one, in which the characters are drawn much too thinly), was generally good natured, good humored, and it had an interesting theme on humanity VS technology.
Remade for TV as "Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040" in 1999. Hate to say it, but 2040 was superior in many ways, though not completely perfect in and of itself.』
(Bubblegum Crisis, an Original Classic) 『The Bubblegum Crisis franchise in one of the strongest anime franchises out, with numerous spin-offs and a release of a new Bubblegum Crisis series, and there's no wondering why in my book. The characters, for there time, were original, the story was well-done and plotted excellently, the world in which the series was based was thoroughly thought out, and the music, though dated, works well with the anime.
In 2032-33, we get to meet the original four girls: Sylvia, Lena, Nene, and the ever popular Priss, as they battle Genom made Boomers from episode to episode in order to protect MegaTokyo. The first three episodes deals with the Knight Sabers battle with Brian Mason, the evil leader of Genom bent on destroying these four girls at all costs. The next episode gets away from the Genom story as the girls must fight a car infected with the Boomer virus, which is determined to destroy the Outriders, a biker gang. When Priss becomes a target, the Knight Sabers are forced to act. The fifth and six episodes gets back to the battle with Genom, and the Knight Sabers find themselves fighting some powerful new enemies: themselves, and the mysterious Largo. This is essentially the end of the series, yet two more movies follow that are almost entirely unrelated to the first six. In Double Vision, they must figure out a series of terrorist attacks against Boomer engineers. These attacks somehow involve Vision, an American singer. In Scoop Chase (my personal favorite) we follow Nene in her job as an AD Police officer while she watches over Lisa, a young girl who seems to idolize the Knight Sabers. That's when a new group of Boomers attack the AD Police headquarters and the Knight Sabers must act in order to save allies and friends from the ongoing Boomer threat.
What's great about this series is that it's actually a huge collection of short films. None of these episodes are less than a half-hour, and some are near to an hour or more. It makes it much more watchable, in the end, since there is never a "to be continued." You see one conflict resolve itself before moving onto the next, without ever truly escaping the core storyline.
This is a classic anime series that should be picked up by any person who truly wants to call themselves a hardcore fan. This is one of the founders of the cyberpunk genre and without this series, great anime like Akira may have never been. I recommend this to everyone.』 『Set in a world rife with pollution, poverty, and gigantic global corporations, BUBBLEGUM CRISIS offers an Animé vision of the future that draws on the traditions of cyberpunk. Set in 2033, the action takes places in MegaTokyo, where robots known as Boomers have replaced human beings in the workplace. Japan has the strongest economy on the planet, and is home to Genom, the largest corporation in the world.Overcrowding and unemployment leads to immense dissatisfaction for the denizens of this future world, so it takes a strong and innovative military presence to keep the population under control. Fortunately the Knight Sabers are at hand to battle against the evil overlords who preside over Genom. Comprised of four women, the Knight Sabers are the only hope the human race has of salvation from a future society which is perilously close to being overrun by big businesses. This collection includes the complete OVA series for a total of 8 episodes.』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Very Slow Start... But Eventually Worth It) 『I don't normally review anime series because I don't consider myself a guru at it. I watch a lot of animes and like many differnt types, but I still don't consider myself fair judge of the stuff. But, here goes anyway. Hope this helps a few people.
We waited and waited for this series to come to the USA, in the complete first season. The animation looked wonderful, the idea of the series sounded dark and deep, and the voice for HellGirl seemed right on.
Upon entering the HellGirl realm, the animation is still really good, but the storyline needed a huge boost in script. The first two discs were barely worth watching, but the third disc and further were really interesting and kept me hooked. You've got to be patient with this one.
Disc 1 and 2 were the introductions to the main characters, explaining situations where someone might want to exact revenge on someone else, so they log into a site that is only available at midnight, send a message to HellGirl with the person's name. HellGirl almost instantly appears and she gives them the option to send someone to Hell- but the trade "the price" is that when they die, they too will be sent to Hell, so it'd better be worth it.
The characters in Disc 1 + 2 were wanting. Most were teenaged kids who didn't really comprehend what they were doing, sending a fellow classmate to Hell because they embarrassed them, or sending someone to Hell because they weren't friends anymore... (rolls eyes) kids stuff. You almost want to laugh and say "get over it!" but... many teens don't understand that life goes on, so maybe it's a little truthful. But, to be honest, I was hoping for some really dark and morbid episodes (which don't happen until about Disc 3) You don't get to the really GOOD "worth it" Hell-bound stories until Disc 3, where (for example) two lovers are forbidden to see each other because her aunt says no. The aunt plays voodoo with the male lover and is threatening his life. The aunt is psychotic and comes after the two of them... yesh, it'd be worth it to me to send her to Hell if to get just a few years of peace.
I read a different review that mentioned that there was a lot of repitition, and I want to explain that one: HellGirl had a really hard time getting picked up as a series in Japan, so it had a lot of Pilot or "sample" episodes while it was trying to get signed on. This is the reason for the repitition- the repeated scenes, the repeated lines, the repeated fire chariot and sleeve/flower explosion, Hell's gate, etc. Really. After the first two discs, the show is really pretty good. By disc 3, it reminds me of "R.O.D." and in some ways "His and Her Circumstances". The artistry is pretty good, the storyline thickens as Purgatory Girl is introduced and the research/ investigation resumes. The supporting, repeating characters really helped to boost the script.
So, overall, this first season is okay. As a whole, it's a 2.5 star season. Writing: 2 stars Animation: 4 stars Potential: 5 stars (c'mon, dig into the scary depths of your mind and let it out! we want to see!)
If you can be patient, watch this. If you can't, skip it- cuz it's really only worth the watch halfway through. Similar darkness, watch instead "Paranoia Agent", "Lain", "Noir", "Akira"』
(Grrrrr....RENTAL ONLY!!) 『I can't believe that there is a second season in the works. I just watched AirGear, which was cancelled, and I think that it has more storyline depth than this constant regurgitation of : somebody hurt me ( or my doggie, are you kidding me!), please hell girl (who is a broken record) AVENGE ME (lol), sure NP but your gonna go to hell also, K that's cool, I think the trade off of eternal (can we say forever) damnation is justifiable (the bad man ignored my doggie!)for vengence! Sweet idea, unless those who produce the idea have no IMAGINATION and constantly reuse clips. Meh, I'm just annoyed that I spent money on poo. As for the five star raters, wow, your easily entertained. And yes, my review was disjointed and made little sense, just like what I was reviewing. Go figure.
P.S.- I honestly don't mind that some people are stupid enough to think that trading there soul to hell is worth one single moment of revenge. But come on! I can't believe they took an interesting concept and went all silly and bored as hell girl with it. Goes to show you that sometimes spending a ton of money does not make an anime worthy. RENT THIS BEFORE YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY!!』
(Good movie plus excellent shipment. A 'win-win' trade) 『My girlfriend loves this movie a lot since a couple years ago, so i decided to buy this product for her. I had placed my order and after three days, the shipment was there in my PO box. This product is amazing. I came together with a subscription for buying some other movie with cheaper price. The DVD quality is good, no scratching, no dust, read good in the DVD Players. I hardly ever receive this kind of good service. Strongly recommended for buyer. Have fun.』
(Revenge, for a price -- Care to give death a try?) 『Hell Girl - 8-8.5/10
I saw that I could import the R1 box set for£20. I did so.
Prior to buying the box set, I had watched the first ten episodes; I got the first two R2 volumes for a few quid. I found the series to be very watchable simply because revenge stories are always involving and each episode provided a new story, but there wasn't enough connecting the dots for me to love it - there hadn't been any character development whatsoever for Hell Girl and her crew. The quality also went up and down a lot; as expected of an episodic title.
The first half of Hell Girl focused on black and white revenge. What made the victims vengeful was shown, the victims then went on the net and entered the name of the person they wanted to die, Hell Girl then appeared and gave the victims the tool required to cast the curse, the victims then received one last push from the person they hate required to make them want to give up their own soul for revenge and, finally, Hell Girl and her servants ended the episodes by first punishing (often unintentionally comically) and then ferrying the cursed, evil people to hell on a small boat. Very repetitive; even the same dialogue was repeated by Hell Girl when giving instructions and the like.
The second half mixed things up slightly by introducing a private detective (of sorts) called Hajime and his daughter; a daughter that shares a connection to Hell Girl that lets her see through Hell Girl's eyes from time to time - allowing her father to track down Hell Girl's 'clients' in each episode. Her father, as luck would have it, sees revenge as wrong and, at first, felt the need to try to stop Hell Girl. The new investigation angle did freshen up the stories, with them told from the viewpoint of Hajime rather than the victims - adding mystery. There were other changes, too, such as the revenge stories no longer being black and white; sometimes 'good' people got sent to hell in order to justify Hajime's anti-revenge/Hell Girl ramblings, these 'good' people not getting the cosplay punishment sequences. But the best thing about the introduction of Hajime and his daughter was the inclusion of recurring characters with actual development; not just faces with nothing below the surface. Hajime even got an episode to himself that explained his back-story and why he was so against revenge - it made me feel sorry for him.
Ignoring the reappearances of Hell Girl, her three servants and the father and daughter duo, there weren't any connected episodes in terms of story until the last three, which were all about Hell Girl's past, finally revealing a little about her to the viewers. Until that point, she'd been no more than a doll; there to punish upon request and repeat the same lines without any emotions. Seeing her tragic background and seeing her show an emotion - anger - transformed her from a blank slate and into an actual person. And, as an added bonus, her story connected Hajime and his daughter to her, making their inclusion not as random as it appeared - I thought they were no more than characters threw in to extend the story.
If not for some very poor episodes which departed from the usual formula, mixing in unnecessary extra supernatural elements - like a talking doll with control of plant monsters and Hell Boy (don't ask) - I'd have rated it higher. Those few episodes added nothing, only lowering the overall quality. There were also some standard revenge stories that weren't very good, but most of the 'normal' episodes were at least watchable, and even if they were poor there was always another, totally different story right around the corner.
One non-plot/character point that deserves to be mentioned is the music. It's unique to my ears; some kind of eerie techno/rock stuff. Whatever it's classed as, it's very good, and it made the talking sections of the episodes even more watchable.
Overall, providing you don't mind episodic series that aren't comedies and are forgiving enough to excuse a few drops in quality and silly punishment sequences, it's a must watch. It gets better the further you progress. It did bug me that little was revealed about Hell Girl until the end and how school girls always seemed to be playing the roles of victims (school girls sell DVDs), but I came out of the series thinking highly of it. I'll definitely be watching season two at some point.』
(Revenge centered fun) 『Reminiscent of Vampire Princess Miyu ovas in the beautiful artwork and gloomy storylines, Hell Girl certainly takes it's name to heart. You feel bad for the heroes and villains alike in a world where you can send your foe to hell with a click of a mouse. The story of a lonely girl cursed to spend eternity ferrying the souls of victims to hell with only the help of her few companions is at the center of the plot. Why must hell girl do this? Who is she working for? The true horror is when you picture what would happen if this were availible in our own world.』 『Your Grievance Shall Be Avenged.
Beyond the veil of midnight lies a website, HellCorrespondence.com. Type in the name of one upon which you desire retribution… And it will be served. If you truly desire to take revenge upon those who have wronged you, just untie the scarlet thread from the totem’s neck. The first disc contains the first Ranma 1/2 movie, Big Trouble in Nekonron, China. The second disc contains the second Ranma 1/2 movie, Nihao My Concubine. However, neither disc contains any special features.
While the films themselves were very enjoyable, I was disappointed that all this two disc set had were the movies. The runtime for the first film is 81 minutes, and the runtime for the second film is 59 minutes. With such short runtimes, both films could have easily fit onto one disc. However, between releasing the films in a two-disc box set, and not including any special features, it comes across that Viz Media was more interested in finding a way to be able to charge as much as possible and not put much effort into the release. By putting the films into a two-disc set, Viz Media seemed to feel they were justified to charge the same amount for this set as for the episode box sets. Personally, I feel that the set, as it is now, is a ripoff.
While I enjoy Ranma 1/2, I think Viz Media is charging too much for this set. If you are a Ranma 1/2 fan and want to have everything on DVD, then you do need to acquire this set to complete your collection. However, I would recommend seeing if you can find it for a better price, either because a retail outlet regularly sells it for a lower price, or the set is lowered during a sales promotion. Or, as a last resort, you can always wait for the price to fall naturally, because the set has been out for a long enough time that Viz Media feels they've gotten as many sales as they can at the higher price. However, it could still be a couple of years before that happens, so you might have to wait a while for that option.』
(A usual) 『I've seen this movies plenty of times, and they are, of course, 'very Ranma'. Nothing new here but I would really apreciatte some subtitles in other languages other than english. Portuguese, french or spanish at least.』
(Ranma 1/2 Movie Box Set) 『Ranma 1/2 is one of the must see anime to watch if you're a fan. I know there are new fans and still growing but if you guys want to know where it grew from. Ranma 1/2 is one of them. Check out the series.』
(Fantastic movies) 『Both of Ranma 1/2 movies are great. They both deal with someone abducting Akane. If I had to choose I would say the 2nd movie was better. Mainly because of the fights at the end. All of the main characters get to battle one of the bad guys.
The first movie deals with Akane being kidnapped by the cult of pickle worshipers...I am serious. Ranma has to battle all each of the 7 lucky god's martial artists. The movie is slow at the beginning, but picks up past towards the middle.
The second movie is about Akane being kidnapped by a young prince. The main cast has been stranded on a deserted island. The twist in this movie is he kidnaps every women he sees and pits them in a contest for his hand in marriage. This movie has some great fan service. The girls have on some of the most revealing bathing suits you will ever see. Ukyou is the standout winner on this front.
I know there must be a little concern over the price. $49 for 2 movies? In context it isn't an unreasonable price. When they first came out on VHS is was $34.99 per movie. I know because I paid that. I have seen the price as low at $42 on this site. It may seem like a lot but your getting your getting your money's worth. 』
(Another gem in my collection) 『If things couldn't get any harder for the crew they meet these gods of Martial Arts and they steal Akane! I would say more but then why watch. GO buy it already.』 『In-pack promotion: exclusive Ranma½ 3-D art image included!

RANMA 1/2 THE MOVIE 2: Nihao My Concubine An outing on Kuno's yacht turns into a wild adventure when the usual cast of characters is marooned on an island, and one by one the girls of the group disappear! The males have to battle an assortment of wacky foes, while Ranma goes undercover as a girl to save his fiancée, Akane. ANIME WORKS
Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great Price, decent Anime) 『Saw this show on TV back when I was 10. As far as I remember it never completed an entire U.S. run so I was blown away to find out it was on DVD.
The show is great, the animation has areas where it drops in quality (as in because of the animators not the DVD encoding)and there was an episode where the dialogue got too quiet but it's an early 90's anime to DVD so not a big deal in my opinion. Just a note, this is the International English dub, not the TV dub, so those like me who saw it when they were kids may notice some dialogue changes.
All in all, an entire 6 Disc anime series plus nostalgia for 18$? You can't beat that.』
(Great Value!) 『For [...] bucks (from Amazon's Marketplace), the 6 DVD (43 episode) set was well worth it. I only had a video hiccup at the end of disc 1, but after 30 seconds, the DVD resumed its normal operation and I was able to finish the last episode.
If you enjoyed the series as a kid in the 90's - you will enjoy the series again. And plus, if you are like me, you forgot most of the plot lines anyway :-) Enjoy!』
(Teknoman with a Tekkaman touch) 『Ok, what we get here is a new edition of Teknoman. It has the Japanese intro, but the episodes are Saban's Teknoman english dub. Also, this version is uncensored, and there are some scenes from Tekkaman wich are included, for example the final fight with Sabre is an extended version, just like Tekkaman Blade is.
I grew up with the Spanish versión, which aired in Latin America. That's why Teknoman is one of my favorite anime. This collection is highly recommended to anyone who watched Teknoman years ago. Enjoy!』
(Tekno Power) 『Wars has always been fought in a form of who will exist longer ? In this war, it's more than just an existance, the planet has now become the new target for breeding creatures known as venomoids. In order for the venomoids to exist, the human race must not. For the moment it seems like there's nothing to do except fight back, but how ? and with what ? Well the answers has appeared in a form of a teknoman who seems to be hope the human race is looking for. The question now is who will survive and prosper ? Especially when Teknoman has some dark secrets of his own.』
(The whole series english dubbed for a real economical price!) 『I bought this set yesterday. This is the saban version. The english dub is quite good. The intro and ending credits are in japanese. There's no subtitles or original japanese soundtrack. No other extras of the show. Just all 43 episodes. The first disc works fine. It plays all the episodes in that disc and all the other discs. Looks like I either got the corrected disc replacement one or one of the rare ones that doesn't skip episodes. But there is a very minor flaw for instance when there is a dialogue the lips of the animated characters pause a bit while the audio track is playing. Which occurs very little to even notice. There's also some nudity. Like Blade's, Shara's, etc. tekno power transformation. I thought this version was censored. Guess I was wrong. The boxset is very nice. It has nice artwork. It is the previous separate three collector cases with the same art work. A total of 6 discs. Being 2 discs inside each case. With the addition of a cardboard collectors box with the same art as the first collection case that holds all three cases together. The whole cardboard set is plastic wrap sealed ,and so are each of the three cases. It's a pretty good value for under 20 bucks. If you get the correct version.』 『The year is 2087, and humanity is about to lose its position as the dominant life form on planet Earth. An endless swarm of biomechanical beings known as the Venomoids descend from space. Earth's Space Knights are no match for the Venemoid champions, the Teknomen. When the young pilots Ringo Richards and Star Summers find a wounded stranger named Blade, humanity gains one last hope. Blade is able to transform into a Teknoman, but he has no memories and fights to protect Earth. His opponents are not only the endless alien menace, but also the other Teknomen -- who were once human, and his family and friends.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Hey, This Anime Entertained Me! Not Bad!) 『This is coming from a guy that has over 120 full series of anime and a few incomplete series including naruto, yuyu hakusho, etc.
I didn't have high expectations for this anime at first, but it became a not so bad anime. It's about 3 female mercs that ended up bringing a male into their group of adventurers. I did get upset sometimes because the females do end up ganging up on him and I felt bad for the guy.
It is quite entertaining and I would recommended it. It's nothing too super special, but it gave me a few decent laughs, it is not as corny as some of the ones I've seen that get all emo on me. You got to understand that I watch so much anime that I'm almost able to predict most animes from the beginning (something that I don't really like to but can't help). This anime is predictable in many parts but I've been surprised a bit and again, good for quite a few laughs.
Not bad, I'm keeping this one.
A few animes that I recommend if anyone wants to check out good anime is yuyu hakusho, naruto>bleach any days, claymore, hana yoridango, ghost in the shell, baki the grappler, just to name a few good to very good animes that I've found. Naruto is the very few animes that I would grant a TRUE 5 star to. If you want a better list, leave a comment and I'll give u a few more to try. They're all random genre of animes.
Anyway, good day to all.』
(Highly Enjoyable) 『In short, I liked the story, I liked the characters, and I liked the animation.
In detail, while not so epic or serious like Lodoss Wars, Rune Soldier has nice and fun stories. Cast is also well suited for the general theme of the series. Even the side characters adds up for more fun moments. Animation is also very colorful and has nice looking sceneries with enough detail.
Why four stars, well, five star is reserved for series like Trigun, or Cowboy Beebop, sorry.』
(A Nice Anime Of An RPG-Like World) 『If you've ever played RPG either the board games or video/computer games you might find this series entertaining. The series is very light-hearted and while there are some drama scenes there nothing to bad to take seriously. You have the main three female characters Melissa a young priestess of the church who has divine magic, Merrill the greedy plucky thief, and Jeanie the tough no-nonsense warrior of the group. Deciding they need a fourth female magician member they try recruiting in town but the only magician who wants to go on adventures is a bumbling, clumsy, and a little dim-witted male wizard by the name of Louie. Louie tries his best to help an while his fighting abilities are pretty good his skills with spells and magical items has a lot to desired. Through the series you'll see some other characters who'll either help the group on their quests or hinder them. Again most of the episodes or pretty light-hearted and humorous so if you like the more dramatic anime series I would say say check something else. The voice actors did a superb job both the Japanese and English cast get kudos for the job. The extras as usual for most box sets isn't much just some trailers and the text-less intro/ending songs. So if your looking for a nice fantasy anime but one not dark, dramatic, or bloody violent this one would be a good choice for your library』
(A fun and fantastic adventure that never dares to take itself too seriously) 『Rune Soldier Complete Collection brings together the complete 24-episode "Rune Soldier" fantasy-comedy anime television series in one affordable thinpack box set! Created by Ryo Mizuno (known for his work in the more serious fantasy anime "Record of Lodoss War"), Rune Soldier is about a trio of female adventurers - Genie the deadly fighter, Merrill the sly thief, and Melissa the effeminate yet potent cleric - in search of a powerful magician to shore up their ranks. But instead of a mighty veteran adventurer magician, the best they can find is the lecherous, klutzy, and incompetent novice Louie! A fun and fantastic adventure that never dares to take itself too seriously, Rune Soldier Complete Collection is enthusiastically recommended to fans of the genre.』
(G R E A T ! ! !) 『If you like to laugh, this will crack you up.

Well, first, if and when you watch this, you wont want this series to end, which is a big bummer. Not that the ending is not good enough, its fine as it is, but you really get into the characters, like one does when watching Cowboy Bebop or Berserk. Just to be clear, this is nothing like Cowboy Bebop or Berserk, this is a fantasy/comedy anime, which originated from Manga Novels. The novels go past this series I believe, so maybe one day they will make additional episodes, and I think they have...

They set out to hire a magician, but all the magicians they meet prefer ereading to raiding-except Louie, a brash novice who seems to do better with his fists than his spells!』
