Mr. Coffee
Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Makes coffee better) 『This is a great coffee grinder for the price. It is not especially noisy, and it does a good job of grinding the beans. It has three settings, of which I have used 2: fine, which ground the coffee fine enough to use in my espresso maker; regular, which I haven't used but would assume would be perfect for a drip coffee maker; and course, which I use almost daily in combination with a French press. It also has 4 volume (quantity) settings, for the approximate number of cups you are making.
To say that fresh ground beans makes your coffee better would be like saying that a downpour makes the ground wetter; it does, but it does so much more than that. Fresh ground coffee opens up a whole new bouquet of flavors and aromas, and it also gives the coffee a little extra punch.
I am also considering purchasing a second one of these to grind spices, because I am quite sure this would handle that task very well.
Overall recommendation: strong buy!』
(Better than your average grinder) 『I was going to buy just the average low cost grinder. I saw this one for a few dollars more and said what the heck. It was not a bad choice. So far after a few weeks it works great. The entire grinding chamber comes off making it easy to dump the coffee into the coffee maker. The self cleaning feature is helpful but does not eliminate regular manual cleaning. As long as it lasts I would buy another.』
(Reliable grinder without a huge mess) 『I bought this grinder 3 years ago when my old one broke. I had no particular reason for buying this one over any other model, but I was very happy with it over the years. It grinds the coffee for a set amount of time, depending on the number of cups and type of grind selected (good for people who need coffee *before* attempting anything complex like estimating grinding time).
Two weeks ago I broke the grinder (I snapped a piece of the plastic while trying to clean it). No big deal - for a grinder under $20, getting 3 years of twice-daily use out of it seemed more than satisfactory. I went out to get a new one and bought whatever was on the shelf - after all, a grinder is a grinder. Or so I thought.
To my dismay, the new grinder catches half the grinds while spraying the other half all over the counter. After ensuring that it wasn't user error, I gave up and am ordering this grinder again. I can tolerate the noise (this is, after all, grinding coffee beans - not trying to lull them to sleep); I cannot tolerate coffee grinds all over my kitchen. This little grinder does what it should effectively and very easily, without the mess. Given that it costs under $20, I think that makes it a 5-star product.』
(Works well, looks good) 『This grinder looks nice and grinds coffee well and is pretty cheap to. Can't imagine what else you'd want from a coffee grinder :)』
(Well worth the price.) 『If you're looking for a cheap blade-based grinder, it doesn't get any better than this. I bought this thing over 2 years ago and I've used it approx 4-5 times a week without a single problem. It even survived the time I got drunk and decided to try grinding gummy bears (bad idea). The buttons make it easy to asjust the # of cups to be brewed and the coarseness of the grind. I use the coarse grind for my french press and it comes out perfectly every time. Excluding the base, I put the all pieces in the dishwasher and it emerges looking brand new. I haven't read the instructions, so I have no idea whether dishwasher use is recommended, but it hasn't stopped mine from working like a champ.』 『The Mr. Coffee IDS77 coffee grinder makes personalizing 4-12 cups of coffee easy. You can choose your grind setting from fine to course and the removable grinding chamber and wide opening lid create less mess and allow for easy pouring. The plates clean up easily. The Chicken breast cooked in record time and and the tortillas cooked nice and brown. The waffles also came out beautifully.
Hope the finish doesn't wear off too soon...』
(love it) 『Love it is what my son's says!! He asked for it for his B'Day and was very happy with this one. All the plates that came with it and I feel like we got a good deal.』
(I AM IN LOVE....) 『with my new George Forman G5. I have had at least 4 electric and two stove top grills and none of them have fulfilled all of cooking needs. I have had it for only a week but have found a way to use it for everything. It cooks quickly and evenly. The most important advantages is that it cooks quickly and cleans up even quicker. I love how the plate comes out and clean up nicely.
I am also impressed with how Amazon handled a little glitch in my order. The first one I received was damaged. I received a new one within two days.
I have already recommended it to all my family and friends.』
(Excellent, so far) 『I have only had this for a little over one month so I can not review longevty, but so far it has worked like a charm! I have had other models and I will say after a while the non stick coating does wear off, but since this ha removeable plates insted of buying a whole new one you can just replace the plates which is a plus』
(This is the one!) 『imho, this is the best value of the George Foreman Grills. It has multiple heat settings, a light to tell you when it's pre-heated, and multiple removable plates for versatility and easy clean-up. It cooks burger patties from frozen in under 5 minutes (after a few minutes to heat it to MED heat), makes waffles, and has a griddle for... griddle stuff. Maybe you're more imaginative than I am ;o) Just having removable plates and the waffle iron option made me glad I bought this one.』 『George Foreman Next Grilleration Grill with five removable plates for contact grill, griddle, waffle, bake and panini cooking. (My Husband Loves His New Waffle Maker!) 『I am not a waffle lover, but my husband is, and so I bought him this one because it looked like it would be better at evening out the batter (because of its ability to flip). Not only was it better than our old Hamilton Beach, it far surpassed our expectations. Solidly built, it cooks waffles to a golden perfection, and right to the edge of the grill. An added benefit is the small amount of storage space it takes and the ease in cleaning. Just wipe it off and you're ready to put it away. I highly recommend this appliance. It's perfect for any single, or your waffle loving college student.』
(Made good waffles but stopped working after 6 months ...) 『Made good waffles, fit in tight spaces but I'm giving it 1 star because it failed after 6 months. I have to pay shipping to return it to the manufacturer under warranty ... Not good.』
(Best Belgian Waffle Iron I've ever owned for 1/2 the cost!) 『Make your Belgian waffle batter from a recipe, not from a box, and follow the instructions for this as well as the instructions for using this waffle iron and you will be completely satisfied! Waffles cook perfectly and get this, NO MESS!!
I am completely satisfied. Most likely, I will wear this one out as I make waffles very, very often. No worries. I'll buy another in a heart beat.』
(Excellent Product) 『To help balance some of the negative reviews,(do people read instructions before they use appliances, I wonder?) I'll add my 2 cents.
I made my first waffles (with this product) last night using Stonewall Farms Pancake and Waffle Mix. I doubled the recipe on the canister and got 3 perfectly browned, crispy, fluffy, delicious waffles. I used exactly 1 cup on the first 2 and a little shy on the 3rd. All 3 came out perfect.
As to the timer: it's handy. I, of course, have other timers in my kitchen, but it was convenient to (following the instructions) pour in the batter, set the timer, then flip the waffle. Just that small amount of time before flipping may make a difference, if not--oh, well. It's just a count-down timer. It does beep when the set amount of time is reached (four times, I think.) The thing is, when making waffles, you don't really go by the amount of time, you watch for the steaming to stop. What is convenient about the timer is, not only that it is conveniently right in front of you when you're pouring and flipping, but when it beeps it brings your attention back to the waffle maker in time for you to watch the steam. I thought it was kind of a nice little extra. I've never before seen a waffle maker with a timer. If you don't like it, don't use it. It has no affect on the on/off function--good thing because cooking time is going to vary according to several factors including what batter you are using.
This was the easiest waffle making experience I've ever had. I was very impressed. Really easy clean-up, too. You just wipe it out--if there is any thing to wipe out. The instructions tell you that if there is a little bit of cooked batter stuck somewhere, you just put a little cooking oil on it to soften it, then wipe it off. I didn't get to experiment with this. Nothing stuck. The waffles came out perfectly. I did, as instructed, brush the grids with cooking oil after it had first pre-heated. It is recommended, for even browning, to use oil rather than spray. I did not need to re-apply it and won't unless waffles begin to stick.
I'm usually kind of compulsive about hot soap and water, but in the case of the waffle iron, as long as there is no material in the grids, any germs will be killed during the initial heating up process.
With this kind of simplicity and success, we will be having waffles much more frequently than ever before.
If you have any of the problems I have read described here, and if you have read and followed the instructions, you must have a faulty product and should return it for a replacement.
If mine develops problems or dies early, I will update my review. Until then, I highly recommend this product. I couldn't be more satisfied. 』 『FlipSide Electric Waffle Maker has professional style rotating design which bakes Belgian waffles in minutes. Otherwise it skips around and you end up having to hand peel anyway. It also does not work so well if the apples are past the crisp stage and you are trying to use them up by making applesauce or pie. My advice, spend $5.00 and buy a decent peeler. You will end up having to use it anyway!!』
(apple peeler) 『These work great. The apple peeler I had was the type that clamped down to the counter or board, this one has a strong suction that works great.』
(Hard to believe...) 『This thing works. Took out of box. Screwed handle on. Set cutter to 1/8" per the instructions. Put a Honeycrisp apple on&in about 5 seconds of crank turning it was done. I will never hand peel an apple again.』
(Great product with ripe apples) 『This is a great product as long as your apples are firm and crisp. Once the apples start to get soft the peeler can't grab a hold of the skin. I used it to peel apples for my wife making pies and apple sauce and it was great. It was like a production line. I would recommend it if you need to peel a bunch of apples at a time. It is also easy to wash.』
(only works well on the "perfect" produce) 『Do not use on potatoes! Unless they are perfectly proportioned, you will end up with a very tiny result once the peel is removed. I read the other reviews on adjusting the device, but every time we ended up very poor results.』 『Core, slice, and peel apples or potatoes in one easy operation. Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Makes great ice cream!) 『At first glance, I didn't know if it would work that well, but I put my doubts aside and, with my husband, set about making the ice cream. We used a hand blender for the first part. That was a big mistake. It whips too much air into the mix. Then we dumped it into the mixer. The ice cream maker attachment worked just like it's supposed to. When done, it's really too soft to eat right away. You have to put it in the freezer for about an hour, but it's just like I remember when my dad used to make it with the hand crank machine years ago. We'd go to a pick your own peach farm, and then come home and make fresh peach ice cream. I think we'll make that next.』
(Glad I bought it. Better than store-bought ice cream!) 『I researched a LOT before I bought this, specifically whether to buy the KA attachment or just get a separate ice cream machine - the final determination was my desire to NOT bring another appliance into the house, since I already have a Kitchenaid mixer. I have a chest freezer, so freezer space is not a concern for me, but honestly, the bowl is about the same size as a half-gallon of store-bought 'scream. I made my first batch of vanilla bean ice cream today and it's awesome! Silky texture, amazing vanilla flavor (I bought 2lbs of vanilla beans very reasonably on another Internet site) Some things I learned, and advice I offer: 1. Find out when your mixer was made - I got my mixer in 1989. The box reads "fits all KA stand mixers" BUT the KA website tells you it won't work on 1989 or earlier models (which message, btw, you can only see if you click "buy" on the KA website). When I called KA to find out if my mixer was made before 1989, I was told they could not determine what part of 1989 my mixer was manufactured and it may not fit, so she suggested I buy the attachment, try it, and return it if it didn't work. I got lucky and it fits! But I bought it from a local store, so I could return without paying shipping. 2. I expected the drive mechanism of the attachment (the part that goes onto the spinning part of the mixer head) to fit securely onto the mixer, but it falls off unless it's engaged with the dasher. At first I thought it wasn't going to fit the mixer, but it works. 3. I put the bowl in the chest freezer for 15 hours (just couldn't wait any longer!) I also chilled the batter overnight. This is all in the instructions, and I wonder if the people who don't get good results don't chill the batter and/or don't have the freezer set cold enough to fully freeze the bowl? 4. Pouring the batter into the bowl with the dasher moving around in it is tricky, but I have a nice mixing/measuring cup with a big pour spout on it. I have the old two-piece plastic pouring shield and it is a little too big to fit perfectly around the ice cream bowl, but it works well enough to make it easier to pour the batter into the bowl. I suppose pouring the batter could be messy without these two items. 5. The FIRST time you hear the mixer make a sound like the tilt-head is trying to come up, STOP the ice cream making process - this is the mixer telling you it's done making ice cream: the batter freezes on the sides of the bowl and the dasher can't rotate any more. If you continue (like I just did) the dasher disengages and it's hard to unlock the tilt-head. I am excited about making flavors of ice cream you can't find in the stores and I am very glad I bought this attachment.』
(Bad function all around.) 『For starters, there's a simple problem with this ice cream maker that should have been obvious to me before I purchased it. Ice cream that use ice and salt to freeze the batter get colder over time, allowing the ice cream to churn for a good while before the it is cold enough to be frozen. This product is at its coldest from the start. It will only get less cold from there. Your ice cream will freeze instantly when you pour it in the bowl and may cause the dasher to stop spinning almost immediately - even if you follow the directions by starting the dasher before you add the batter.
Furthermore, it's almost impossible to make two batches in a row. The freezing bowl simply won't be cold enough by the time the second batch starts. And you have to freeze it for 15 hours before you can use it again.
Getting past this immediate flaw, lets talk about everything else that's wrong with it.
The dasher, as I mentioned, must be in motion when you pour the batter in. Unfortunately, its really difficult to get the batter into this bowl while its on the stand with the mixer in motion. I got batter all over my mixer, on the counter, everywhere. It needs a spout to pour the batter into from the side. No such accessory exists - and if it did, wouldn't it be sort of ridiculous to have to buy accessories for your accessories?
The dasher is turned by a drive-assembly that does not attach to the pin of the mixer. Your just supposed to press it up onto the motor head where tiny rubber tabs on the side will hold it in place. This doesn't work well at all. The drive-assembly doesn't fit well onto the motor head, so it just pops off while the mixer is in motion, as soon as the batter offers any resistance - which it does immediately, because as I said, this mixer is as cold as it's going to get from the moment you begin. You end up with batter that hasn't churned properly and that is frozen solid to the sides of the bowl but is still liquid in the middle. Even if you can keep it spinning, the drive-assembly slips out of place and causes the dasher to turn at a bad angle, and also causes your mixer to make some really disturbing noises.
In the end, you end up with a big mess in your kitchen, ice cream that hasn't expanded to its full size because it wasn't churned properly, and the threat of damage to your very expensive mixer. I switched to this mixer from and ice and salt mixer because I figured it would be louder, cleaner, and less work. now I'm switching back to the ice and salt mixer because its just as loud as the noises this mixer makes while working, it works better, and I can make as many batches of ice cream I want in a single day as long as I have ice.』
(LOVE IT!) 『I absolutely love my new ice cream maker attachment for my stand mixer. It's sooo easy to use and came with some awesome recipes to try it out. I also found a few recipes on [...], one of my favorite websites. I have made mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream so far and llloooovvveeedd both of them. Very yummy. I love being able to utilize my stand mixer for more than just mixing. I also have the slicer attachment, food grinder attachment and the fruit/vegetable strainer attachment and love them all.』
(Creates an unacceptable product) 『I am a professional pastry chef, this was purchased for home use. I am not using the product incorrectly. Due to a fatal design flaw, the dasher stops churning the ice cream well before even a soft serve consistency is reached. That means you must freeze the ice cream before it is fully churned which creates large undesirable ice crystals. Furthermore, in spite of the "Hassle Free Guarantee" I was hassled for a good forty five minutes, told I was using it wrong and I didn't know what I was talking about. Ultimately had to speak to two supervisors to return the product.』 『Convert any KitchenAid stand mixer into an ice cream maker with this unique attachment. Simply store the unique freeze bowl in the freezer for a minimum of 15 hours, then make up to 2 quarts of frozen desserts in 20-30 minutes. The Ice Cream Maker Attachment produces a variety of frozen desserts, as well as fresh, pure soft-consistency ice cream.』

(Almost perfect) 『I absolutely love these glasses. I use them everyday for my hot tea. I love that the glass doesn't get too hot to carry. And they seem to keep my tea hotter longer than other cups/glasses. I would have given these 5 stars except for the fact that they are very fragile. I'm very careful with mine. I don't use a spoon in them. I wash them by hand and keep them seperate from the other dishes when drying. With that said, I did break one of them about a month after I got them (my own fault... I tipped one over and it fell into the sink). If you are careful with them they are fantastic. I plan on buying more. The 12 ounce size seems perfect for most uses... so I'll probably stick with that when I order more.』
(Bodum review) 『Great product! No condensation on the glass to worry about- saves your tables. Wonderful size for a big drink to quench your thirst! Not a heavy glass- light, bit sturdy and beautiful, too.』
(Very fragile.) 『While the glass does stay cool, the glass breaks if it so much as bumps against something. Otherwise good.』
(not guaranteed) 『Bodum does not offer a warranty on their products. The plug on the bottom came out after only one use. I called and they told me Too Bad. Now my glasses are in the trash and I'm out $30.
』 『The Bodum Pavina Double Wall Shot Glass is 2 ounces in size and can be used for cold or warm beverages. Its unique design is appealing to the eye when filled with your favorite beverage. With its double layer of borosilicate glass it appears as though the liquid is 'floating' within the glass. They will not sweat when filled with a cold beverage, so you will not have to use a coaster. The double wall creates a thermal effect, helping to keep your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot for longer periods of time. These mouth blown glasses are an exciting product for any home, restaurant, or cafe and they are a definite conversation piece. Bodum’s insulated glassware is made from durable Borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass is a strong heat-resistant glass traditionally used to make scientific lab glass. Stronger than traditional “soda-lime” glass, borosilicate can be used for everything from drinkware to cookware. Borosilicateglass substitutes boron oxide in place of the soda and lime used in everyday glassware. The boron oxide acts as the glue holding the silicate together. Due to small size of boron particles, the glass is held together tighter, resulting in a stronger, lighter glass. Borosilicate glass doesn’tneed to be as thick as traditional glass to be just as strong due to the bonding capability boron oxide. Borosilicate is simply a different type of glass that is resistant to temperature swings and scratching. Because the particles are held together so tightly, borosilicate glass is resistant totemperature swings, In addition to being dishwasher safe borosilicate will not become cloudy over time; you can rest assured that after 1,000 cycles, the glass will be as clear as the day you bought it.』 『At last, a glass that won't burn or freeze your hand. Two walls of clear glass with an air layer in-between not only keep drinks cold--or hot--but prevent condensation from forming on the outside. So, an ice-cold shot of vodka or a steamy espresso feels just right, no matter the temperature. And coasters won't be needed, either.
Winner of the prestigious European iF Design Award, the mouth-blown Pavina glass exhibits Bodum's flair for the modern. Each two-ounce glass curves beguilingly and fits the palm just right. Mouth-blown of borosilicate glass, which is quite a bit thinner yet much more durable than regular glass, the two Pavina glasses in this set are safe for both the microwave and dishwasher, resist temperature swings, and resist scratching and dulling. Care should be taken when placing ice cubes in an empty glass, and metal spoons for stirring are discouraged.--Ann Bieri
Editor's Note:Because each glass is mouth-blown, each one may have slight differences in height, thickness, and weight. Bodum recommends using care when placing ice into the glass to avoid fracturing the inner layer. You should also avoid using metal spoons or placing the glass into a crowded dishwasher.』

(C'mon, 100ft Range?) 『I only bought this for the remote feature, the rest of the stuffs are of no interest to me. They should stop advertising the 100 ft range remote. Because in realty, this thing does not work beyond 4 meters.』
(very limited range) 『The first unit received would not transmit a signal (30 feet) consistantly from my barbeque to my kitchen. I returned it and received another which seems to maintain an uninterrupted signal for the 30 minutes of outside cooking. An audible alarm which alerts one that the signal has been lost would be a vital improvement to this gadget. In the mean time, I will check the signal often and regularly. The reported temperatures seem to be accurate, the instructions are straigtforward and the two probes are handy.』
(Yeah, right, 100 feet, try 10...) 『The only reason I bought this was for the remote monitoring capability. I cannot get more than 10 feet away without loosing the transmitter and that is line of site.
If I close my sliding glass door, I do not get 5 feet.
I tried 3 sets of batteries, incuding rechargables, no improvement.
Great product in other ways, accurate and clean design, but useless to me since it isn't really a remote monitor.』
(Good, but lots of room for improvement) 『Overall, I'm luke warm on this item. I purchased it off Amazon since it was the highest rated wireless thermometer. It certainly works well but there is a lot of room for improvement. After one 12-hour smoker run, here are my initial thoughts:
Pros: *Multiple probes *Easy to read display *Long cords (approx 4') for convenience *Decent range (could go almost anywhere in the house within 10 yards or line of sight)
Cons: *Inconsistent signal - would sporadically lose/find the signal. *No alert tone when signal is dropped. *No low temperature alert. *No backlight on display. *Could make keys more intuitive. *No room to add/purchase additional probes
My biggest complaints are the lack of alert tone when signal is dropped, and lack of low temperature alert and here's why; After firing up my smoker at 5am I wanted to get some shuteye. I took the wireless receiver into the living room where it still received signal (almost line of site, 10 yards away from smoker). It received a signal for 10 minutes or so and eventually I felt comfortable and fell asleep. I woke up an hour or so later and, at some point, the unit had lost the signal and failed to make any audible noise. Without this feature, or the low temp feature, it really requires you to monitor it manually. It would ad so much value for these two, simple software updates.
This was my first wireless grill thermometer but it seems pretty straight forward. I'd probably recommend to a friend but would search for a few alternatives as well.』 『The RediChek remote features a transmitter that reads the internal food termperature with a digital electronic food probe, then sends that information wirelessly up to 100 feet away, freeing you from standing next to the oven or grill during the cooking period. When the desired temperature is reached an alarm goes off! The taste or doneness of meats can be determined to be rare, medium, medium well, or well done based on the type of food and the internal temperature reached during cooking.』 『Cooking a dinner-party roast, holiday turkey, or backyard-barbecue pork loin to precisely the proper temperature without fuss is a snap with this thermometer. You can even monitor two foods (beef and lamb, for instance) simultaneously, since two stainless-steel probes are included, each 6 inches long and each connected to a 39-inch stainless-steel wire.
Here's how it works: program the tool (two AA batteries included) by selecting either "beef," "veal," "lamb," "pork," "chicken," or "turkey." Then program to rare, medium-rare, medium, or well-done. The monitor displays the proper temperature--which can be altered by pressing a button. Place the probe into, say, a turkey. Run the wire from the oven and close the door. (Door should remain closed until turkey is done so oven temperature doesn't vary.) Plug the wire into the monitor, and open the monitor's built-in stand. Set the clock to the current time. (Remember, two probes can be used simultaneously for different foods, with the monitor programmed separately for each.) The monitor constantly displays the turkey's internal temperature and elapsed cooking time. (The timer can be used independently of thermometer.) When the turkey reaches the selected temperature, an alarm sounds.
Meanwhile, hook the pager (two AA batteries included) to your belt or drop it into your pocket. The pager beeps when the monitor's alarm sounds and works up to 75 feet away, liberating the cook from the kitchen. The probes can also be plugged into the pager, which displays a food's temperature on its LCD screen. So barbecuing brisket outside, roasting chicken in the oven, and keeping track of both is possible.--Fred Brack』
