My pizzelle maker arrived today and I was so excited tht I immediately started to use it. Like what previous reviewers said, this product is really fantastic. I sprayed the 1st 2 times cos I was afraid the pizzelles would stick. I didnt spray for the remaining pizzelles but they didnt stick!! The pizzelles were evenly cook, crispy and beautiful!! Love this product to bits! Unfortunately, this wonderful product came at a whopping price for me.I had to pay US$155 for shipping from USA to Australia. As Amazon can ship this item only within USA, I decided to use an International shipping company, based in USA. Amazon ships the item to the International shipping company in USA, then the International shipping company ships it to Australia. The Pizzelle BOX itself measures just 10.5inch x 10.5inch x 5.5in. But Amazon packaged it into a way TOO BIG PACKAGING box measuring 26in x 20in x 8.5in!! This is 2x the pizzelle box!!( Btw,there was no padding/ bubble wrap inside the packaging box to reduce any impact. This increases my bewilderment as to why it was packaged in such a humongous box) Becos the packaging box was so HUGE - the International shipping co, which bases its shipping charges based on VOLUME charged me a whopping USD$155 just to ship this item to Australia!! This is more than DOUBLE the shipping costs I expected to pay!! If the pizzelle box was packaged in a correct sized packaging box, my shipping charges from USA to Australia would have at the very least be halved!!

It honestly seemed tp stuff just as fast with the machine off, and the poorly-fitting plunger pushed huge amounts of air through the stuffer and into the sausage. Then I found the trick to getting it to work.
Getting air out of the system is the only way to get the feed screw to work. The easiest way to do this is to work a drinking straw up and down the feed chute while gently pressing on the plunger. You'll feel the plunger drop as air escapes. Once the air's out, the stuffer will actually stuff pretty well. Keep working the straw as you go.
The straw trick actually made this thing worth the $9. Without it, it's terrible.』
(It works... sorta.) 『For the price it's not a bad way to get into making your own sausage if you're already using the KA meat grinder, but for stuffing sausages it's not great. It clogs very easy (yes I had it assembled correctly) and you have feed very small chunks of the sausage into the tube leading to the worm drive, if you just try to shove it down the tube with the tamper it clogs badly. If you drop little chunks down and push with moderate pressure it'll work smoothly but still very slow. Because of clogging problems it took me about 90 minutes to stuff a 5# batch of fennel sausage, but once I made friends with it the pace would be about 30 minutes for five pounds, which is still to slow IMO. I'll be dropping a little more money on a dedicated stuffer soon.

It took 3 hrs to stuff 10 lb meat. It is worthless, time consuming, labor intensive. The plunger pulls back the meat you push in. The worm inside the grinder tube does not move efficently. And yes we did not attach the knife and plate. The tray needs to be larger, the grinding unit needs to be larger, the plunger needs to be straight. This is an awful design engineering. KitchenAid needs to replace their designer, too.』

It was so beautiful I started cooking with it right away and burned my first pot. My mistake was using the steamer basket in the stockpot instead of in the smaller pot; the Brussels Sprouts did not tenderize and the water boiled away. No matter. I picked up some Bartender's Helper and polished the pan back to new. This cleaner has been a godsend, by the way. The cookware heats up quicker than most, which I like, and the handles don't get as hot as I expected. It also turns out that if you use the steamer basket in the proper pot, vegetables turn out bright and tender. Very glad I did my research and bought this set!』

Upon receiving it, i was amazed at how shiny it was. The looks was definitely an A+, but that soon turn sour. After using it 1 time, my pots stained. So much for the "stainless" steel. The set burns very very easily. And once it burns, the stain is forever. I've tried just about everything and nothing works. The pot also gets just as hot on the side as it does on the bottom. I found out when i was boiling water and accidentally moved the pot. The water twirled around lightly in the pot but as it hit the rim of the side, it was sizzling and spat out hot water. Oh and the handle, you can forget about it. There is no way any living being can hold the handle with bare hands when its in used. I need my oven mit along with another towel just so that i dont get burned. In 1 experiment, i dripped some water on the handle when i had it on the burner and it sizzled.

No more $$ down the drain on can openers)) 『My mother and my grandmother both have the Amco Swing-A-Way at their homes; I cannot say for sure how many decades old they are, but I can say the design hasn't changed any that I can tell. I wanted a can opener that would last like that, but I know that the grip on the Amco is something that gets less and less comfortable over time (due to the age of the operator, not anything against the Amco). In the last 8 years I've been through 1 electric (Hamilton Beach - it didn't wear out or anything, I just didn't like all that juice from canned goods all over the place. Plus, it was a @#$%&to clean that little mechanism and involved a toothbrush.) and 3 handhelds (the "inexpensive" from W. [aka the cheap-cheap-cheapy from China]; a more moderately priced Oxo from T. (I think it was defective, though I didn't attempt to exchange it) and a higher priced Farberware from a restaurant supply wholesaler - which, to it's credit worked OK so long as I used my left hand. I'm not a lefty at all.) So, with great hesitation, I spent money one more time on this Oxo, based on the good reviews. I was skeptical, having given up on can openers being good anymore. Oxo got here in 2 days (love, love, love Amazon Prime so much) and I've been happy ever since. I mean, like, I open the drawer to get the can opener out, 3 months after I bought it, and I still feel a sense of relief when I see my can opener. It is a relief to know that this Oxo is (1) easy on the hands (which may be an even bigger relief as time goes on) (2) opens a can smoooooooothly every single time on the first attempt. I will say, in response to those who don't like that the can lid doesn't come 100% off - I don't like my can lid dropping down in the contents. While I always rinse my canned goods before cooking or consuming, I don't wash my can lid before opening - and I cannot tell you how many sick people I see rubbing their runny noses before touching the top of a can that they inevitably push to the side of the shelf for someone else to take home. (Great addition to the kitchen) 『I purchased this roaster when I needed to have both a roast ham and turkey for a holiday dinner. I thought I would use it primarily for holiday meals but I was wrong. I use my roaster often. It makes a wonderful pork roast and I have used it to warm large quantities of soup at a fund raising dinner in our community. Things do cook a bit more rapidly than in the oven -- so I simply adjust the temperature and timing. Everything I have fixed in this roaster has been tender and tasty.
It is absolutely necessary to condition the unit. That is, one needs to bake off the chemical smell for 1 hour or so according to manufacturer's direction prior to using. After this process the unpleasant odor will be gone.
I recommend this roaster without reservation. The size is just right. The learning curve is quick enough to be fun&complex enough to keep you busy for a while. Freezing dulls the taste buds, so your base - whatever it is - should taste just a little too sweet, a little too strong (this is one of the reasons why melted ice cream is kinda... gross). This also makes it important to concentrate flavors, which can be a challenge.
Here's a recipe template: SLOWLY reduce 2 cups of wine by half - I use a slow cooker with the lid off - it takes hours, but you don't have to do anything. If you want, infuse the wine with herbs, spices, citrus peel, small frogs, whatever, during this time (it may take more than you think to have the right presence). Strain if necessary. Stir in 2/3 - 1 cup sugar, till dissolved. Add this syrup to 2-3 cups fruit juice or puree. Add something for a little tartness, if necessary, a couple of teaspoons vodka or other appropriate liquor (or perhaps a couple tablespoons of raw wine), chill the base well&proceed.
I second all the advice about having everything cold&working quickly once the cannister comes out of the freezer. I took&extended a couple of tips in the reviews: I store the cannister in the freezer with 3 freezer-gel packs inside it,&I cover the top hole of the machine with a freezer-gel pack wrapped in a dish towel while the machine's working.

Thinking worse case scenario the grandkids would love it I made my first batch of ice cream using fat free half and half, it was amazing! As for the noise it makes, I discovered that setting it on a folded towel on the counter cuts down on the noise alot. My husbands plan is setting it up in the laundry room, closing the door and setting a time, lol that works too. I usually only have to place container in the frezer for 6 hours before using it so I think freezing time depends on type of freezer and settings. Then one weekend company was coming&I wanted to make spinach dip (you know the one with the leek soup mix&the spinach&the green onion?)I finally had a chance to put the mini-prep through its paces. Well the darned mini-prep was just a little too small...I know, because I TRIED!
So down the hall I trudged to lug the BIG CUISINART back to the kitchen. Everything worked out&I only had 12 or so parts to clean&put away.
