I think this is a fine little grinder. I do mean little. It does a fine job of grinding small batches of coffee beans or would probably be perfect for spices or flax seed, I haven't tried those. This is strictly a coffee grinder for me. The one I bought is VERY messy and hard to get the ground coffee out of. You must turn it upside down and use a brush to get the coffee out. The cord is so short you almost have to unplug it to do that. Way too much work early in the morning! If I try to grind enough for a full pot at once I am left with probably half a Tbsp.or more of ground beans all over my counter. I pay a ridiculous price for my flavored decaf beans, can't afford to waste that much coffee. It is quiet, fast and does a very nice job on fine grind, if you only brew up to four cups at a time, over that and you've got a mess on your hands. If it fits your needs it's a great buy. I am returning mine for one that will grind a larger batch into a removable container. No more upside down for me.
We tried another grinder and had to return it because it couldn't grind the coffee fine enough. We like ours expresso ground for a strong cup of coffee and this Krups is able to do that. It's very high quality, grinds quickly, and is easy to get the ground coffee out of. Can't go wrong with this one!
Does what it says. Use it for cacao, goji berries, nuts, flax seeds, etc. It can handle it all. Never used it for spices, but if it can do cacao they I'd imagine it can do spices.

Items like this allow you to branch out nutritional. It allows you to use foods you may have not used before, and that is the best attribute of an item like this. Buy it. Get on the net, and add some awesome foods to your diet. One of my better purchases for my kitchen.
This is a great compact coffee grinder that makes enough coffee for about 6-8 cups. Highly recommended.

THE LONG DRAWN OUT SCOOP:
I started canning after I got married 20 something years ago. DH was a widower with 2 small boys from his deceased wife, and 2 children from a previous living wife. I was a 22 year old with no experience raising kids or feeding them. Within 6 months, his oldest son moved in with us. We were living on one income with 3 boys in the house, one of whome was a teenager. My mother gave me her canner and I got right to work those first few years. Then gradually life set in, had babies of my own, went to school and started working full time as a surgery nurse. Now that we were making more money, the garden didn't seem as vital to survival( big mistake)
Fast forward to this year. Due to my growing concerns about job security in this economy, and the rapidly rising prices of vastly overprocessed foods of questionable safety(do the letters GMO mean anything to you? Remember the produce recalls for e.coli?) we decided to start back up gardening.
My canner was so old that I couldn't read the numbers on bottom to get replacement parts. I researched, read the reviews, and asked some friends on a preparedness board, and ended up deciding to purchase the Presto 23 quart canner.

It arrived the same day I got notice that it should ship- this is in spite of using the free shipping option that meant it may not ship immediately. Evidently it shipped immediately, got it a full week before I expected it.
Took the gauge to my local extension office to be checked as recommended. Met some wonderful, helpful people that I had never realized existed. My gauge is half a pound off, so they recommended that I process at 7 lb rather than 6. I will get it checked again next year as recommended.

I processed my first batch of tomatoes last night. It got up to pressure much faster than I was used to with my old canner. It held the pressure consistenly, and on a relatively low setting. I did sit down near the stove so I could watch the dial, but believe with a bit more usage to get me comfortable I will be able to do other things in the kitchen as I am pressure canning, and not babysit the gauge so closely.

I had read the review from the person who had the canner blow apart. This worried me a bit. Now I am not worried. Either it was defective from the factory, she didn't get the gauge checked as recommended, or something wasn't put together right.
I would not hesitate to buy another one should my garden ever grow that big that I need 2 to handle the produce.
I purchased this pressure canner recently&have used it to can our produce coming from our garden. I compared brands&prices for canners at retail&online, but found Amazon to have the absolute best deal. There is one small problem that I have had to adjust to w/using this canner. It is not the canner, but my new glasstop stove purchased a few mths.ago. It is a challenge to get the pressure at the right temp&mostly to maintain it correctly. It has to do w/the glasstop stove maintaining heat longer than traditional stoves. It just takes practice&patience. The canner itself is great. I expect it to last for yrs. Great purchase!
I was actually scared of this when I first got it. By the way I recieved it the next day!I let it sit for about a week, reading the instructions. I had heard horror stories about pressure cooking. The instructions were clear and even told you how to do a test run so you can get the feel of your pressure canner. I havent stopped canning since.
I had a hard time finding a pressure cooker that would be okay for a glass top stove. This canner has a special bilevel bottom so that it fits on your burner. The 23qu also allows you to do cold water bath canning with quarts unlike the 16qu.
I have canned chicken, chili and spaghetti sauce.
This canner leaves nothing to be desired. It does all it says it does. The instructions should be corrected to advise 1 quart less or one half quart less in capacity if using wide-mouthed jars...but aside from the obvious this is a rockstar among canners. Save your canning money and get the Presto...This canner costs half compared to others of the same size and capability. I swear I dont know how anyone can rate these less than 5...
I have these and the bakeware and they are great. It goes without saying if you put HOT stuff in these bowls do not stick straight in the fridge, wait till it cools. Just like if you buy the bakeware and take out of oven, do not put cold water on a GLASS pan that just came out of the oven. Put warm or hot water in it. But these storage containers are great. Dishwasher safe, etc... Been using them for a year and the covers work perfect they do not slip off or whatever else I read.

BYE BYE PLASTIC STORAGE CONTAINERS FOREVER....

Buy them, YOU WILL NOT REGRET it. Search for the other sets and get a bigger set for a better deal. I bought this set to add to the other bigger set I already have, to have a few extra ones.
These containers and their accompanying lids work great for storage in the fridge and freezer, have no trouble in the oven and stand up time and again to the rigors of dishwashing, but don't try to handle them bare-handed out of the microwave. Something about the composition of the glass allows it to accumulate heat from the microwave oven to the point where the outer surfaces of the bowl are actually hotter than the food inside. Many times I've found the bowls to be so hot that the only way to remove them was with a glove or oven mit even while the food inside was only lukewarm. My hands are pretty tough and can take quite a lot of heat before I have to let go, but when I've microwaved anything in these bowls for more than a minute or so, I can't even touch it. Using gloves or mits works, but makes handling the smooth glass bowls rather awkward and hazardous. I've tried leaving the bowls in the microwave for a while to cool down before attempting to handle them, but if you wait long enough for the outer heat to dissipate, then the food inside gets cool as well.

I had purchased them mainly to store and reheat leftovers, but have found the overheating of the outer surface to be such a hindrance, that I've actually gone back to plastic.

If you really need bowls for microwave reheating, I'd look elsewhere, but if all you need is lidded cold or room temp food storage containers that can take the oven and dishwasher, then perhaps these are for you.
Just a heads up, this is five containers and five lids, hence the "10 piece set". Perhaps this is obvious, but I've seen it fool people in the past.

This is definitely a "what you see is what you get" situation. These are high quality pyrex tupperware containers, and the lids are robust. Be a little careful putting the lids in a dishwasher, they will crack and degrade over time. Other than that they do the job, they are durable, easy to clean, create a good seal, and are easy to stack in the fridge. Pyrex is far superior to any plastic tupperware, so it's worth the extra coin. No complaints.

Glass containers are better than plastic containers because they do not stain nor smell. For health reason, it is safer heating food in glass than plastic. However, the plastic lids will wear out over time.

I don't know if I qualify as a grill freak, but I grill about 3 times a week on a CharBroil infra red propane grill. I had not cleaned it for six months until I got the Grill Daddy Pro. I preheated the grill for about 15 minutes and the Grill Daddy effortlessly cleaned off six months of burned on food in about 60 seconds. It's one of those things that gives you a slap on the side of the head;"Why didn't I think of that". GREAT TOOL, Now I know what I am giving for Christmas to all my grill buddies.
I was initially disappointed by what seemed to be a flimsy design - especially of the "valve" that is supposed to control the water flow. However, the device works astonishingly well at cleaning my grill - usually a single pass at a hot grill and I am down to bare metal. The head has two brushes and the user is instructed on how to use both - but I've found that the main brush is adequate. It's a little uncomfortable on a large cooking surface as a good deal of steam is generated, but the results are very satisfying.

There are two different carafes that look the same, so make sure you get the right one. I went on the Cuisinart website to make sure I was getting the correct one. When I purchased this item it said it would take two weeks to ship out, but it actually came within two weeks.
Cuisinart DCC-1200PRC 12 Cup Replacement Carafe-Black

This replacement carafe is identical to the one we accidentally broke. It is wonderful, for it contains the very coffee we love to drink. We wash it out daily, fill it with pristine clear water, transfer the water to the bin of the coffee maker, return the carafe to its perch under the filter, and hit the switch. The carafe collects the freshly brewed coffee just as the instructions says it will. Then we pour ourselves deliciously brewed and stored coffee right into our favorite mugs. Could not be any easier. Yes, we are very pleased with the 12 Cup Replacement Carafe in Black.
I took previous reviewers advice and ordered generic replacement carafe from Total Vac. The way I go through carafes, I needed a less expensive alternative. Thanks for the info on Total vac
When the carafe that came with my coffee-maker broke, I was hesitant to spend $25 on a replacement.

But when I read some of the glowing reviews, and one in particular, I felt secure in making the purchase. Churchill Barton's review painted a scene I could not resist, but now I look back at it with a new clarity.

"In a world where carafes often go unnoticed.."

This one didn't. My original carafe was quite noticable when it cracked apart upon bumping into my imitation wood kitchen cabinet. It went from a carafe to a piece of garbage in 1 second flat, and my inability to make a cup of java rendered me useless the rest of the day.

Supposedly this carafe would "resolutely holding this coffee for up to several hours so that the Joe wouldn't just flow freely across the kitchen counter top,"
Oh, but this were true. My new replacement carafe lets the coffee run wild almost every morning. I slowly and carefull pour the coffee into my mug, but 9 times out of 10 some coffee escapes and runs amock on my countertop, mockingly laughing as it goes.

"Sometimes our world seems to be coming apart at the seams, but you can count on this carafe to hold your coffee together in one place. "

What appears to be coming apart, literally at the seams, is this carafe.

Next time I am getting a Krups.

Being somewhat naturally clumsy, I tend to break carafes for coffee makers. While I wish that this replacement was less expensive, it is exactly what I needed after inadvertently breaking the previous one by smacking it into the sink while cleaning it. The only reason that it gets a 4 star rating is that in my opinion, this shouldn't cost $25, but about half that.

This device cuts down on my oil use. I don't remember the last time I've had a bottle of oil last this long. I use it for salads, air-popped popcorn, and for sauteeing. Haven't had any problems with it so far. I make sure to use most of the air pressure before I put it away to prevent clogging.
I've had mine for about 3 months now and it has held up fine. Perhaps it is just the luck of the draw for me.

I actually got mine in one of Amazon's 4 for 3 promos, and it has saved me a lot of money. I usually buy commercial sprays about every 2 weeks but have not had to, and I'm getting better quality olive oil, so I'd say it has paid for itself.

You have to prime it or it will not spray anything but a fine stream, so when you get it, make sure to prime it.

My only complaint is that when it is fully primed, I can't keep the lid on.

I took it to a big potluck and everyone seemed quietly fascinated by it. People were using it to spray their lettuce on their sandwiches in droves. It was kinda funny watching people watch other people trying to figure out what to do with it. :) That alone was worth the price. It was a party pleaser.
Yeah the device itself is a nice concept and it works fine...but I left some olive oil on it and after.. ok one week the oil was rancid when the rest of the bottle it came from wasn't even expired yet and in perfect conditions. the worse part is that it is almost impossible to wash it unless you want to waste all the hot water you can because inside the aluminum case there is a plastic bottle. Definitely I would not recommend this product.
I purchased this product because the store cooking sprays were leaving a sticky residue on my cookware. I have only used it with olive oil. I've only had it since January, but so far so good. Easy to assemble, and with a few pumps you get a good, atomized spray. I have ditched the cooking sprays, and rely solely on this product.

I was impressed with this product. when my other oster blender stopped working, i went to my favorite place to get a replacement. amazon did not only sale this product at a great price, i got it send to me free. best of the deal is when i used the blender to blend beans, i was pleased, it did make a really loud noisy and had air forcefully coming from the base, but it did the job well and i would recommend this blender to friends, i have just purchased it, but i pray it last because it does what it was meant to do well.
I bought this blender to crush ice in protein shakes based on all the glowing reviews. I thought the complaints about the noise were over reactions. Boy, was I wrong. The sound that this blender makes is horrendous! If it weren't so much effort to send it back, I would have done so immediately after my first use. And, it really doesn't do that great of a job crushing ice. The number of times you have to stop the motor, scrape the contents down so that they will continue to blend just isn't worth it! Contents just can't get over or around that air pocket that forms at the bottom of the jar. Far better to buy the Waring Pro electric ice crusher and use your old blender. I did and am much happier. If this is your first blender, try something that doesn't come with an ear protector warning!
this is my 3rd blender. i've had the cuisinart duet (bought that for my sister and gave mine to my mom) and hence i was blenderless for about a year. debated between the waring pro blender that everyone sees on foodtv, another cuisinart and the kitchenaid.
Both the cuisinart and kitchenaid are nice blenders, but they don't crush ice as well as this one. The waring, as beautiful as it is, just is overpriced for what you get. there aren't many things this oster can't do. granted it's only got 1 speed and pulse, but what do you really need?

i never found that i used all 21 speeds on my cuisinart anyways, and this definitely crushes ice better. plus it's got the beautiful aesthetics of a matte finish and flat silver trim. my only wish is that the power cord were a tad longer. i love the fact that this has a square metal contact mount to the motor. all the others are plastic. not that i've ever had any of them break on me, but knowing that this is metal, gives me more confidence that this won't fail due to the contact area.

if you get this blender, i'm sure you'll be making a ton more smoothies as i know i will.
This thing slices, dices, chops, chomps... does everything but pour for you. But, then, I'm a guy who doesn't need 10 speed setting. This one is either set to on, pulse or off. What could be easier... no agonizing over the right speed. And with their strongest motor, yet... heaven.
And add to that the glass 'jar'. Good stuff, without a doubt.
Blender as expected. Only complaint I saw in previous reviews is that the blender was very noisy. This is true, but I don't think I have every owned a blender that isn't noisy. For the money, this is an excellent blender. Makes great smoothies, which was my primary reason for this purchase.

The machine is a great thing and I would definitely buy another if I need to. The recipe book has some simple tryouts and so far all have been deliciously better then expected. I only wish the attachments were made of better quality components. Just because I have one PRO and 5 CONS does not mean the tool is not worth the money and you should not buy it. Like I said, it can do a lot of great things.

Pros: small, very powerful and does what the promos says. I am happy with the thing.

Cons 1) The glasses, cups, and attachments are all made out of the type of plastic that scratches very easily when cleaning with a mild scrubber sponge.

Cons 2) The bottom of the blade attachment uses a rubber gear to engage with the motors spin mechanism. To run the blender the user pushes down on the cup which comes into contact with the gear on the motor. So when the user pushes down too lightly the base motor grinds and burns off the rubber on the underside of the blade. There will be smoke and rubber smell in the air with rubber shavings around. So when you use the bullet make sure you push down with authority so you don't grind away the engaging rubber on the underside of the blade.

Cons 3) I wish the glasses and attachments were stackable to reduce/space needed to store away all the components.

Cons 4) The inside of the glasses/cups are ribbed/reinforced with a lines of plastic from bottom to top making it hard to just insert a sponge and wash out. Probably the dumbest thing about the bullet.

Cons 5) When ice gets ground in a smoothie there are always good chunks of ice that don't get ground good enough and get left behind.
I have had this product for about three years and we use it primarily for blending protein drinks and smoothies. I have tried many of the other possible uses of the product as well. The thing I love most about this is how little space it takes up on the counter. For me, the Magic Bullet is worth buying for the space savings alone. Secondly, the design is genius. It never leaks like my previous blender, and the fact that you can blend in the same cup you drink from is great. Because of the design, the base never gets dirty and all the other parts can be put in the dishwasher.

If you are buying this product primarily to chop vegetables, however, you might want to reconsider. While the pulse-shake method described in the manual does make the product come closer to working as advertised, you tend to get big chunks and blended chunks, nothing evenly-sized. I was able to make guacamole with mini tomatoes pretty easily, but I had imagined this product would also meet my chopping needs and it did not. Another minor complaint I have is that the rubber feet on the bottom of the blender tend to stick to the counter, pull right out, and eventually get lost.

Bottom line: This is a mini-blender, not a mini-food processor. If you keep those limitations in mind, you will love this product.

If it broke I would buy another and still feel that I had gotten my money's worth out of the Magic Bullet.

Not intended for every day use. Just as other reviewers here have mentioned - there are irreplaceable, movable, plastic parts that drive the blades. I got about 1 year of daily use out of my bullet before the plastic disc that spins the blades split into 3 pieces. I never used it to crush or blend anything very hard (no ice or compact solid foods - generally just bananas and soy milk). I tried to repair the disc with epoxy and got it back into one piece, but the threads that the disc screws onto had been rubbed bare. The threading was of course made of the same weak plastic - so no luck on that. I even tried to line the disc with glue so there'd be no need for the plastic threading. This fix was also not effective.

Recently I got a Bella Cucina Rocket from Target - I will update if it proves to be a superior product.

I love the Cuisinart DCC Brew Central. It is very easy to use, has everything built on the inside so you don't have messy hinged pieces. The finished brewing beep can be heard from another room when the coffee is ready and for the first time the carafe pours with out spilling all over the counter top.
While I received this coffee maker as a "free-be" via credit card rewards rather than buying it, having used it for the past six months, I can say I'd definitely have shelled out the money for it if necessary. It looks very nice, is easy to use (albeit it's a bit tall), makes a great cup of coffee, and has the other perks other reviews have reported (solid construction, 1-4 cup setting, variable-temperature warming plate, filter, etc.).

The only criticism I could possibly come up with, as has already been mentioned, is that the cup markings inside the unit itself are difficult to see. However, as I measure using the carafe rather than the water reservoir, that's never been an issue for me personally.
This is a solid coffee maker, brewing coffee according to the strength you want from a few cups to a whole pot. It warms the coffee without cooking it or letting it remain tepid. You can also program it for the exact time you reach for a cup in the morning.
I read the reviews and I am not sure why anyone has a problem. I have not had any of the issues that others have. I guess maybe it's the coffee I use but I have not had any grounds in my coffee. Also one reviewer complained there wasn't an external view of the reservoir so you couldn't see the amount of water you put int. There is one on the craft and unlike other coffee pots I have owned this one is pretty accurate. If you need 6 cups the fill the craft to the 6 cup line or slightly above and that's what you get. No big deal. Also filling the water is not as difficult as people say. I have yet to spill water and might never spill water, of course all the other coffeemakers I have had included similar openings.

I am completely satisfied with my purchase. This has been the best coffeemaker I have. its very easy to use and the coffee taste great.

I would use your best judgment on what you want and not listen to negative reviews for this product because they are the exception and there are more positive reviews then negatives.

We have worn out three of these fantastic coffee makers. Normally, we will drink about 5 pots of coffee a day and this pot has not let us down one time. It takes about 1 minute per cup which is just enough time in the morning to let the dogs out and by the time they return it is ready for the first batch. We find the filling a bit of a chore. In the beginning getting the right amount of water in the little chute was a tad awkward but now we are used to it. The gold filter works well as does the #4 paper filters. The #4s have doubled in price since we began using this pot. The internal water filter does a good job at eliminating any taste that may appear in the water. You do have to replace it at least once every 6 months depending on your water. Our water comes out of a creek by some circular route and is quite clean while a friend's comes out of the city's sewer system and is a tad different. All of that adds up to this pot making a fine pot of coffee and it does so consistently.

We have been so happy with this one we have decided to go for the DCC-2600 which has the same features except it is 14 cup versus 12, and there is an external window to see the fill level along with a better chute arrangement according to the advertisement. We'll see.

Bottom line: Would I buy this again? In a heart beat.

I bought this carousel with the offer that came with the coffee pot (Keurig B60 Special Edition Gourmet Single-Cup Home-Brewing System) as a Father's Day gift. After reading the reviews that it might not spin very well and flimsy craftsmanship, I was very dubious. However, I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and it worked perfectly. Spinning it was the first thing I tried and I did not have to hold the base or anything. As for the quality of the materials... sure it could be made out of a stronger metal but it would also make the product heavier. I prefer the fact that it is lightweight. It has exceeded my expectations and I'm glad I decided to get it despite the negative reviews.
When I received this, one ring was broken off. It is cheaply made. Returning for a refund.

Well, if you are like me and continually ordering different flavors, this makes the decision so much easier. It's right there in front of me and I have it loaded with all my favorites, so I just grab one and that's that. Also makes it easier to get the boxes off the counter, and put them in storage for a couple of weeks. Very good idea and not obtrusive at all, perfect size.
