I was able to get the correct one from Amazon. This one works great. I think the Beater Blade is everything you said it was.It is something I would recomend to anyone that owns a Kithchen Aid stand mixer.It cuts the mixing time in half.I would recomend it to all my friends. I just tried mine out on some butter cookies and it worked fine! It creamed the butter and sugar really well and I never had to scrape the sides. I never went above half speed so I can't address the point of food flying out. If this is an issue, you might want to use the regular beater blade occasionally and scrape the sides manually, but for my butter cookies, I was very pleased with the performance of this accessory. Over all, I recommend this product. I'll revise this review after the holidays when it will get a much better workout! :D I thought that this wouldn't work with my kitchen-aid product but to my amazement it worked fabulous. It scraped the sides of the bowl that I didn't have to stop the mixer until everything was was all added and ready to put into pan. Thank you for making this product. Despite getting the proper size, the design of this tool (note sides are up) is not correct. When in use, the ingredients come out of the bowl at times. After making a couple of batches of whip cream, I found that one quarter of the cream was splashed on my counters. The defect is that the blades of the scrapper arc up instead of down like the current kitchen aid supplied beater. This replacement beater for older model KitchenAid (tm) 5 quart bowl-lift stand mixers continuously beats, scrapes, folds, and mixes ingredients -- without needing to stop and scrape the sides of the bowl with a spatula. The beater's "wing-system" design acts like a wiper blade that continuously scrapes the sides and bottom of the bowl while mixing, cutting mixing time by as much as 50%. It's perfect for cakes, cookies, icings/frostings, quick breads, mashed potatoes, compound butters, meatloaf, pie fillings, gum paste, and much more. Also love the fact that the end you place on the counter/cutting board is rubber coated to prevent slippage. Only drawback is the plastic handle: it's too short (and I have little hands!), and the plastic is cheezy and uncomfortable. A lot of my utensils are Good Grips, and you really come to rely on and appreciate the heft, girth and comfort of their handles. Ordered it mostly to run my order total up to get free shipping, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed. It really does work well on chedder and other cheeses, at least for one or two servings. Haven't used it for zesting yet, but my guess is it will be perfect. It cleans up easily. I recommend it. Finally- a zester/grater that actually zests! This is the 3rd zester I've bought, because the 1st 2 would not take any zest off of citrus fruit. Maybe they're fine for grating parmesan or something, but I need one for grating citrus, and this one does it perfeclty and effortlessly! I have two problems with this thing: 1. The grating blades are at an angle that causes the food to want to slide to that side...then the fingers get grated. A little practice avoids that though. 2. It doesn't come with any kind of plastic cover so, like, where do you store it to prevent damage to it or your hands? Next time I'll get something with some sort of snap-on cover. I would have gladly paid another buck to have it. This Cuisipro grater is fantastic. It's long and lean, so it fits better in my kitchen drawers than a wide grater, and it's sharp. We've used it several times to grate parmesan cheese, and it makes the cheese so soft and fluffy it melts right into whatever we're cooking or serving. We put it right in the dishwasher and it comes out clean every time, no rust. I am tempted to buy a second one so that there's always one handy. I can't imagine trying to handwash it! It would shred the sponge. The ice cubes pop out easily when I push the back of the penguin mold, unlike some other silicone shaped ice cube trays where it takes a lot of effort to get the ice to pop out. Like all non-cube trays (i.e. ones with fun shapes), it's a bit of a hassle to fill it with water because you have to fill each individual compartment, not like with a regular tray where all compartments overflow into each other. Still, that's the small price I pay for exceedingly cute cubes :) I bought this ice cube tray as a birthday gift for my girlfriend. She loved it a lot since she loves penguins. Just like other reviews stated the ice cube tray is a bit tricky to fill without spilling. It is indeed easy to pop out the ice cubes. I'd say this leans more towards the novelty gift category than everyday use, but if you love penguins a lot I'm sure you'd could get past the spilling of a little water when filling. I have the penguins and the stars. The penguins turn into balls really fast. The stars hold their shape for about 5 minutes, then turn into balls. I think the tray is easier to use than some of the other reviewers. It's a nice change-up from a normal ice cube tray. Not very efficient though. Takes the whole tray to chill a glass of mine (about 2 normal glasses). Next tray I'll just be buying a normal one. This looks very cute online, and in person... but using it is really difficult. When you pour water in it, it goes all over the place making a big mess. You have to have a steady hand to get the water right in the little penguins. When sprayed with Pam "Grilling" spray it did not stick, and the hamburger meat tasted better than it had ever tasted before - I don't think it was my emagination. The press was very easy to clean up, and it took less than one minute to assemble. The assembly to attach the handle to the press was quite awkward. It was not easy for one person to be holding a screw (bolt) with the driver, and at the same time, tighten the cap nut with other hand using a wrench or plier while the press base is on its side keeping the bolts, handle, and washers in place. You need another person to hold the screw stationary with a screwdriver from the back while you would tighten the cap nuts using an adjusttable wrench or a plier. For a woman who is not too dexterous like me in using wrench/plier and screwdriver at the same time, the assembly would be a nightmare. I would rather pay extra for the item with handle already attached to the press base. Except for the assembly, the press works nicely cooking bacon, burger and other meats. For pork chops, if you make a few slits on the outer rim of the chops, they would not curl up in cooking. I usually hate assembling things and even though this was easy - it was annoying.....and with the nuts&bolts protruding underneath - it prevents it from laying flat on the sandwich. Annoying. The 75% savings paid for a complete 10-piece set of Cuisinart Chef's Classic stainless steel. (Bought the original Le Creuset in 1991 as part of a 2 fry pans, 2 sauce, 1 dutch oven set for $170.) Don't know yet if I like the shallower/wider shape as I'm so accustomed to long-cooking dishes in a deep pot. But, it is a generous 6-qts. (rather than 5), it cooks the same, and the quality is on par with the Le Creuset. There is not as much surface contact with the heating element, but I love the rounded interior bottom for stirring up the pot! This Lodge enameled cast-iron is a beauty--bought the blue one, it feels good to cook in, and I'm so glad to have found a replacement for my favorite, most used pot. I've been looking for an enameled cast-iron dutch oven I could afford. This is it! Produces a good fond, is great for slow cooking, I love it! A friend ordered this dutch oven and loved it. I ordered it and I really like it too. I make a lot of soups and this is perfect! This is an incredible product! I have other Lodge products that I love, but this is my first enameled piece. It delivers exactly as advertised. It holds heat well and heats evenly. The lid fits tightly and the enamel is flawless. I made the best bean soup of my life the first time I used it and I'm no amateur! It cleans beautifully with a Tuffy scrubbie (plastic scrubbie) and a sponge. I couldn't be happier!! I highly recommend Lodge products. I have been searching for cast iron cookware for sometime. I am very pleased with the Lodge product. Perfect for making my Sunday sauce. (Love It!) I like this cookie press much better than the metal one. Its great that you can see inside. The hardware on it works very well and is easy to push the lever in and out. Its easy to clean, especially because its transparent. It makes very nice frosting designs..but you have to be sure that whatever you are using is not too thick,because then it will not work well and jam up. I would recommend it. But it also helps if you take care of it properly. I actually used this for the first time last night and was very disappointed. The barrel is very small, as were the cookies. I make a spritz cookie and then ice 2 together with chocolate icing like a sandwich and even the largest disc didn't make the cookies big enough. I ended up getting a disc from an old press, but that didn't work all that great, either!! I bought my daughter one and I am thinking of returning it. very good quality item that compares with products over twice in price. I would recommend highly.
