(Soiree didn't fit my wine bottles) 『First off, I may have just gotten a bad one. Here's my experience with the Soiree. Opened the item just before a dinner party and it didn't fit the first bottle of VA wine. Tried jamming and twisting it in for minutes without luck. Had others try with the same result. Looked at the directions to make sure we were doing things correctly and we were. The directions even said "if it doesn't fit, try it on another bottle." Tried it on two CA wines I always drink and the same thing happened. I then went to the Amazon site to look at the picture to see if anything was different. There was a difference, the rubber fitting on mine was about 1/8" higher and I couldn't budge it. I later found out it was glued or had fused onto the glass and would not come off as I tried to pull, peel, and even put soap on it to get it off. It comes with two rubber fittings, one for most and a larger one for screw top bottles so I know the first one wasn't suppose to be stuck on the unit. I ended up pushing the Soiree on top of a bottle with one hand and flipping the bottle with the other hand to see if it would really aerate the wine. I did notice a slight difference but in the end I was so frustrated with it that I used my old stainless steel aerator and decanter. This unit was sent back. Might try the Vinturi next, at least I know there won't be fitting issues.
Pros: Much better looking in person than in the pictures. Beautiful hand blown glass. If you get it to fit, it should aerate well.

You can mix a beautiful salad, serve it, and then store the leftovers all in the same bowl. My only complaint is that the lids become very loose and ill-fitting over time; I don't have a dishwasher and I never had a reason to microwave the lids so they could not have warped in those ways. Still, they are so great that I wish I had a second set! Also, because the lids are different colors, it somehow makes it easier to grab the correct lid the first time. Overall, the durability and versatility of the bowls (microwave, oven, freezer). I did not realize these were made in the US - bonus!』

(Great Griddle) 『I bought this griddle because I wanted to make the "Instant Pancakes" from Alton Brown's Good Eats show on the Food Network. If you're going to go through the trouble of making your own mix, you should at least cook them on a griddle large enough to cook them all at the same time instead of one by one in a frying pan. I make the pancakes about 6 inches wide, and can make 6 at once on this griddle with room left over for two eggs. All in all this griddle peforms as expected, which is to say that it provides accurate and even heat over the cooking surface. The coolest part is in the exact center, as the heating element takes the square shape of the griddle, but it is not so cool as to make much of a difference. My method is to pour the first pancake in the center of the griddle so it cooks the longest, and this is all the adjustment that needs to be made. I haven't tried any meats on it yet, I kind of got used to bacon in a frying pan, so I can't make any comments on that. But if you like pancakes and eggs cooked up perfectly, and you cook for more than one person, this is the griddle to buy. Also, try the recipe for Instant Pancakes from Good Eats, it's easy and they come out great every time.』

Of course, there's no room in your frying pan for your flapjacks, so when everyone's already finished you cook and eat your three pancakes made from the batter dregs(Hey! Where'd all the blueberries go?)all by yourself. Awwwww. Well, for the first time ever(like 28 years) I was able to cook a short stack for everyone and myself and join everyone at the table. Woohoo! Okay, it's big, but can it cook? You betcha! The surface heats very evenly so pancakes and french toast are uniformly cooked. If you've ever chased a pancake around a non-stick pan like a hockey puck on an ice rink, you'll appreciate that the cooking surface is textured allowing just enough "grip" to allow you to flip those babies easily. For storage, I found the top of the fridge was a perfect fit. I've had a few electric griddles over the years, but this is the best one I've ever owned.』

We have used the griddle about 2-3 times a month for the last 9 months and we really enjoy having it. I find that it cooks evenly enough...perhaps some very slight differences on the griddle, but certainly nice enough for someone who is monitoring the cooking process. Nothing has ever burned. I've used it for pancakes, bacon, zucchini rounds, American fried potatoes, carmelized onions and peppers...it has worked great and I keep finding new uses. Overall, I'm thrilled we got this and enjoy using it...but it could be even better. I find it easiest to clean ON the counter..I just put something to catch the drainage underneath and bring my soapy cloth to the counter. It's so big that I find it very unwieldy at the sink. For things like pancakes, clean up is a breeze..I rate it a 5. Bacon and chicken breasts make clean up complicated, but manageable. I'd rate it a 3 for those. I actually don't like making bacon on this...the clean up isn't worth it to me...I'd rather do a large amount of bacon in the oven and have a pan that can fit in the sink. Some minor criticisms: 1) The cord is very short and I can only put the griddle in ONE place on my counter because of this. Some people might need an extension cord if they don't have ideal outlet locations. 2) Mine seems to fall into tilt mode all the time..I think it'd be better if it had to "click in" or "click out"..mine just sort of slides into tilt. 3) The drain area should be removable from the bottom for easier cleanup...it's hard to get in there, and that worries me when it comes to cooking chicken breasts, etc... I shopped around for a long time looking for a quality automatic tea maker and finally decided on this unique combination of convenience and style. It only makes two cups at a time and you need to consume the tea immediately after brewing because there is no warmer for the teapot to sit on. You have to play around with how much leaf to use based on your personal preference, but once you've done that it steeps the tea perfectly and then dispenses it directly into the ceramic teapot. You do have to be careful not to get water on the implements when cleaning the steeping insert and be sure that it is dry before you put it back in. But once you are aware of that, it is no big deal. Use the ceramic tray for a very classy way to serve the tea. This is a product of very thoughtful engineering! I highly recommend!』

(Excellent for all kinds of bread) 『We have had our Breadman for over 2 years. It has not had any trouble. We generally make 1-2 loaves of whole wheat bread a week, along with one batch of white dough that we make for buns. I've used the delay function (works very well), the rapid function (also great for when I forget I need a loaf sooner than I started it), and have tried various crust brownness. They all turn out wonderfully and are good for different purposes. The gluten-free recipes are good and easy. My 9-year-old daughter is capable of starting the loaf and dough recipes. I know some people complain about not having a loaf that is rectangular, but I simply cut the top off our bread, use it for smaller pieces of toast or toddler sandwiches, and have a perfectly sized loaf left for sandwiches. I figure I get at least 20 servings (one slice each, including the top pieces 2=1 slice) from each loaf, and it is all-natural. Get a good bread knife and you'll never be sorry to not taste a store-loaf again. Soak the pan for a minute in water and it takes about a minute to clean. If you use more than a loaf of bread a week (including hamburger or hot dog buns) you will make up the price of this machine in less than a year and eat healthier doing it.』
(Excellent Bread Machine) 『I ordered this machine about two months ago and have used it two to three times a week every week since where we live the bread is awful. I have used it thus far to make dough for hamburger buns, pita bread and have also used it to mix and bake a variety of breads. The machine is very easy to use and the booklet is also very useful (especially if you have never baked before or used a bread machine before). The booklet is well-organized and contains a chart on the lengths of each cycle for the different kinds of breads, jams, and doughs (including pasta) you can make with it. The booklet also contains numerous basic recipes to get you started on using the machine. I am also impressed at the machine's light weight, that the bread pan washes up easily, and that it doesn't take up much space in the kitchen. It also has a handy viewing window so you can see if your bread has indeed risen. Another plus to this machine is that it has an 8 minute memory so if the power goes out it will remember the cycle for 8 minutes. This has proven to be enough time for our generator to kick on and save the loaf of bread. The machine also has a beep function for adding ingredients during the second knead and will keep your loaf warm for 30 minutes if you don't hear the timer go off when the loaf is done baking.
Since owning this machine and realizing how easy it is to make dough in it, I've got the "bread baking bug" and have been searching for the best recipes on the web. I've found that once you know the basics of the machine and what your doughs should look like, it is easy to experiment with recipes. YOU HAVE TO read them very well, every little info is important, once you read them it is easy to use, you can't leave the machine alone at first until you are an expert in your recipe since you might need to add water or flour, you can't sleep while it is working because it is gonna beep many times. I also noticed some mistakes in the amount of ingredients , so double check the numbers by comparing 1.5lb to 2lb. I also made my very successful low carb bread according to a recipe from a book and in the whole wheat cycle while they say use basic (white) cycle. my bread had risen very well but came out gummy, may be all low carb breads come like that.. the instruction book is very informative in general and has a lot of recipes. I won't make my own bread if it is not for low carb bread being expensive and not available. I would prefer a machine rather than kneading by hand and trying to make appropriate temp for the dough. in this machine you can use any kind of alive yeast... I agree you have to stand on your tip toes to see the screen. again , read the instructions before using and follow them to the letter. you are gonna throw few loaves before you get good one.』

(Miracle for the gluten free diet) 『My son was diagnosed with celiac about 6 months ago and was being a good sport eating food for life brown rice bread- but he really missed bread. I had heard a breadmaker was the answer so i followed the amazon reviews to this one and have not been disappointed- I use Gluten free pantry everyday bread mix and it has been delicious- the only problem i have encountered is the liquids must be lukewarm- not hot and not cold in order for the bread to rise properly. Other minor details, because the dough is sticky, it is difficult to remove the paddle before baking so there is a small indentation and slash mark in the finished product which is cosmetic only and if you are not there to remove the bread when it finishes cooking, the crust will darken quite a bit- doesn't interfere with taste. My son can finally enjoy a PB&J sandwich.』

Not only can I cook great food for my family of 6, but once a month we have a pot luck at the church. Prior to getting this crock pot we had NUMEROUS spills with many different contraptions to get our old crock pot with the food inside up and down the short hilly ride to church. I haven't had one spill since getting Hamilton Beach Stay or Go slow cooker. The clamps anchor the lid down sealing the black tube-like seal in place. We use this a lot!
It's not fancy, but the features that I liked were:
#1 - the clamps to keep the food inside while it is being transported.
#2 - the sturdy handles make it easy to move the crock pot around without fear of spilling.
#3 - It has a place to put the name of the recipe that's cooking in the crock pot over the Hamilton Beach symbol. Since we move this around quite often, it is a great feature to have for the church potlucks.

These are light-weight but durable. I have even dropped them on the floor and did not have any breakage.
They are perfect for use in heating cans of soup. Most other soup bowls are far too small to hold the contents of an average size can of soup. Not these, it fits perfectly and can go from microwave to table to dishwasher. I also use them for just about everything else and the large bowl is great for pasta as it will easily hold an entire box of cooked pasta.
For the price, I don't think these can be beat.』
