(By Far My Favorite Timer) 『This is by far my favorite timer, aside from the temperature probe it comes with. I bought this for the probe thermometer with alarm for cooking a turkey properly and it did an excellent job at that. The temperature reading seems perfect. You put it in a deep location in the meat without touching the bone and it will tell you exactly when done. Our first turkey turned out perfectly. There really is no guesswork if you know it is done by the temperature. I bought it after watching Alton Brown on the Food Network and did exactly what I expected and hoped.
But we ended up using this all the time as our main timer. I find the timer aspect very easy to use, easy to read, easy to hear, last a very long time on one battery, and very durable. I've tried several other kitchen timers and none of them stacked up. So many were hard to set, didn't respond as well to buttons, or just didn't seem as responsive. I would have thought a timer would be the simplest thing for a gadget to do by now, but this is by far my favorite as a kitchen timer. I like it so much I just bought another for a 2nd timer to time two things. I have another timer that can time 3 things at once but I can never seem to remember how to set, stop, and start each one with enough simplicity to do quickly while cooking. I prefer separate timers at this point. I'm even planning to buy one more. So the probe thermometer is great, but I really like this for its perfect kitchen timer capability in my opinion. I just keep the probe in a drawer to use once or twice a year.
I wouldn't worry about not being able to turn it off. Like all other kitchen timers, there is no off switch. But the batteries last a very long time. I think my batter lasts 2-3 years under routine use as a timer. I've only replaced the battery once. If you only use it once a year to cook something for a holiday, then you can probably just remove the battery which is better for storing electronics anyway.』

(Love Corelle!) 『I'm a klutz. You can hear me crashing in the kitchen. Literally. That's why I never, ever buy stoneware. It's too heavy, takes too much space in the cabinet, and when I inevitably drop the dish, I'm afraid that it'll hurt the floor in addition to simply breaking. My first set of Corelle took me 20 years to break a few. It's hard to do, but I managed it. When they do break they explode into millions of pieces - but it since I drop them a lot and they rarely break - an occasional explosion over a period of years is a reasonable trade off. This pattern was a good compromise - hubby wanted manly and I wanted nice. These dishes look very nice and classic black won't look dated like my 20 year old southwest pattern did.
I also love the size. I'd been looking for two years and just wasn't going to get any of these GIANORMOUS plates that they have out these days. I wanted reasonable-sized plates so that we eat reasonable-sized meals. It was a relief to find plates and bowls and coffee cups that weren't engineered for Hagrid-sized people ;-)
For those of you wondering, yes, I did already manage to break a plate....but again - I'm simply talented that way. Even Correlle can't always withstand a drop onto a concrete patio. Sigh. Well - at least I can order a single plate replacement so I'm back to my set of 12. Gotta love the price too!』

Using the same quality corn as we have with others this popper produces a higher yield, fluffier popped corn and, importantly, less popped corn thrown around the room! However, it is missing one seemingly simple and inexpensive part... an ON/OFF switch! Your "on/off" switch is effectively the plug&outlet. 9 out of 10 times this produces a blue spark at the electrical outlet upon first contact as the machine immediately tries to draw all the current it can attain. The kids don't like to use it, probably a good deterrent in hind site, but a simple $0.10 on/off switch probably should have been included in the bill of materials...』
(Great Popcorn Popper) 『I LOVE my new popcorn popper. I don't have any complaints. I turned the popcorn popper on and let it warm up about 3 minutes without the top on before placing the top and and putting in the popcorn as I read in another review. It works perfectly. When I hear the first pop I hold the pan close to the chute to avoid any wild kernels until the popper is full (takes about 30 seconds) then I put the pan down and let it pop. When your blowing hot air into popcorn a few wild kernels is to be expected but definitely was not any kind of problem. My sister and I used the popper to make several batches of popcorn for popcorn balls. We had the best time. One of the little measuring cups makes a lot of popcorn and I only had about 2-3 kernels left unpopped in the popper using Jolly Organic Popcorn. I would definitely buy again and plan to buy them for Christmas gifts. The grandchildren LOVE watching the corn pop and fall into the pan from the chute. Popping popcorn use to be a big deal but not any more. I really like the fact that we're not eating microwave popped corn anymore. GREAT PURCHASE!』
(Fast and healthy) 『This popcorn maker is great. It is fast, easy to use, and pops almost all of the kernels. It is great to have an air popper because you don't need to add a bunch of oil (although you can melt butter in the little cup at the top, if you want). The only downside is that there is no on/off switch-- plugging it in turns it on-- but that is pretty minor.』
(As Good As It Gets) 『I've had several air poppers over the years. My favorite has always been the Wearever Popcorn Pumper, but this Presto PopLite is almost as good.
What makes a good air popper are (1) popping chamber being sufficiently deep and narrow, and (2) hot-air fan being not so high as to easily facilitate unpopped kernels blowing out of the popping chamber.
This popper is very good on both issues!
As for others recommending "tilting popper back 30 degrees"... recommended to keep popping kernels from blowing others out of the popping chamber. If when the first couple of kernels pop you'll do this for about 15 seconds, there will be a build-up of popped kernels in the popping chamber which will prevent unpopped kernels from blowing out.
Also, recommend using a regular brand (I like Jolly Time Yellow). (Almost perfect.) 『Everything you've heard about this microplane is true. It's razor-sharp and effortlessly glides through a brick of cheese. It zests citrus, grates nutmeg, and shaves chocolate into delicate mounds of powder-fine cocoa-y goodness. It's shiny and lovely and actually stays that way, due to high-quality stainless steel. Unfortunately, I'm taking away a star because every time I use it, I get wads and wads of cheese stuck under the curved back edges (you can see what I mean in the 3rd picture, where the model is awkwardly grating cheese with the plane held upside-down. I actually tried that, and it's absurd). Maybe that doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's a lot of cheese, maybe 1/2 oz, each time! Imagine what I'd waste in a month. So I have to dig the cheese out and it gets smooshed because it's already so finely grated, and when I'm through I end up with something like cheesy Play-Do. And that's not as appealing to me as it might be to say, a 3-year-old. If I were working for the good people at Microplane, I'd made the plane FLAT. Goodbye, wasted cheese and hello, five stars! Toss in a little plastic clamshell protective case and call it a day. And now I'm off for a nice 4-margarita company lunch. Kevin, hold my calls.

(Love it!) 『I never thought I'd care about a grater but I love this one! I bought it so that I could hold it&grate parmesan cheese over pasta. I was afraid that would be too difficult to do but it works great. It's very easy to hold. The teeth are very sharp and the cheese grates into beautiful little curls. I highly recommend this grater.
It's easy to clean and comes with an acrylic protective cover.
We also bought it for zesting but haven't gotten around to that, yet.

With my old grinder, the mostly plastic blade disintegrated after limited use. Nothing worse then ground plastic in your food. As with every grinder I've used, for coffee or spices, there's a static buildup and the grounds prefer to stay in the grounds compartment. Not really sure how to prevent that. A paint brush type of tool helps to remove all of the contents, but some do tend to remain. As such, I would not use a grinder for both spices and coffee. The blade seems to be mostly metal, which hopefully translates to an extended blade life.』
