customer 's review (Perfect and beats Plastic)
(Great Waist Pouch or Hand Bag Size) A 12 ounce stainless steel water bottle is just right for the times when a water bottle are necessary or wanted. It sits perfectly in a cup holder and holds just the right amount of clean, fresh water with little chance of ingesting that bad plastic stuff known as bpa. The wide mouth is just the right size for inserting ice cubes (not too big though) and screwing the plastic cap on. Included in the package is a belt clip and holder. Can't say too much for either of them, however. It seems as if you placed too much pulling pressure on either a problem would exist. I, however, did not try to break either. For the price and purpose this is just right for everyday use and if it gets damaged too much, just chunk it and get another. Shucks, for the price it is well worth every cent. If the clip were an issue they are readily available at any sports shop or big box type store. Off the cuff. Wonder how these would do for a martini holder. I have the 18 and 27 oz Gen Med Stainless bottles which are both great, but a bit large. My wife wanted a smaller bottle to fit in her waist pack or hand bag. She did not want to be holding a bottle when she was shopping or in a Dr's office etc. This bottle did the job, plus it also fits nicely in a car cup holder. This is an all stainless steel bottle, with a wide mouth. The cap comes off and on with 3 half turns, which is nice and easy. There is an exellent seal on the cap when tightened down, I have not had any problems with Gen Med bottles leaking. Quite a few reviewers mention the clips on Gen Med bottles look weak, but none ever said it broke. It's stainless steel with a strong spring on it and definitely does not look weak to me. The bottle will sweat if you put ice water in it. If needed my wife will wrap it in a quality paper towel, which obsorbs the moisture nicely. This is a very nice smaller bottle. (Excellent Job Tenderizing meat.) Chicken goes from dry to succulent! I use this with oxo meat pounder for even cooking. I've had this for 2 1/2 years now and I will not marinate a piece of meat without it. I used to marinate for most of the day, now 10-30 minutes and I get way better results This tool does a great job of loosening up tough cuts of meat. Outer blades tend to want to bend outward, so exercise care and good vertical strokes. This tool does a great job of loosening up tough cuts of meat. Outer blades tend to want to bend outward, so exercise care and good vertical strokes. It does an excellent job tenderizing the meat. It allows the meat to be soft yet still hold it's form since it isn't being squashed. Squashed is OK if your making a rolled meat dish but for everything else this works great. Super Meat Tenderizer, 48 Blades, Makes Any Boneless Cut Tender, Reduces Cooking Time Up To 40%, More Flavor, Less Shrinkage, Dishwasher Safe, Protective Cover. This tenderizer not only hastens the cooking and marinating time of meats, fish, and poultry, it also significantly improves the flavor and texture of gamier meats such as venison or pheasant. In addition, the tenderizing process reduces shrinkage during cooking, so meat retains much of its original, pre-cooked size. 48, razor-sharp, stainless-steel prongs aligned in three rows of 16 blades each; pierce any cut of meat--including entire roasts, chickens, or turkeys. This tool can be used to prep food for any cooking method, whether it be grilling, baking, braising, broiling, or roasting. A rectangular-shaped, plastic handle and plastic cover safely contain the tool’s super-sharp blades during storage. For easy cleanup and hygienic safety, the tenderizer is dishwasher-safe. customer 's review (Don't waste your money)
(Not quite like Vince says it is.)
(Slap Squish)
(Use it right)
(waste of plastic) In the 60's I was suckered into purchasing a Veg-o-matic for $8.88, "as seen on tv". Forty years later I have been suckered again, this time for $19.99. I bought this to replace an old Pampered Chef chopper that I hated. The Slap Chop works fairly well but not as easily as Vince makes it look. He demonstrates by chopping with one finger and it just won't do that. I'm 6'4" and weigh 280 lbs and must use some force with the palm of my hand to chop through most things. When chopping onions, pieces sometimes get caught in the curve of the blades abd you must remove them. Limiting the amount of food you try to chop at one time will improve it's operation. The one really good feature is the way it pops open for cleaning. Being hard to clean was the reason I hated thee Pampered Chef model. All in all, it's a good product and works well. Vince should just give a little "wink and a nod" at the end of his demo. Making America skinny- one squish at a time! Chopper does more squishing than chopping. Anything with a peel is too much for it. Food gets caught up in the blades horribly- even migrating past the incredibly flimsy plastic protector inside. Not a time saver at all, and very hard on the wrists. But it does chop some things. [...] It doesn't work if you don't slap it. It's called a slap chop for a reason. Slap that sob and it will chop and rotate. Works great on oreo cookies for ice cream. Havn't tried it on soft textured food yet, but I did try it on grilled chicken which has left me impressed that it cut it up into fine pieces. Again, this is not a [...] pump, you have to slap it with some force. Faster a blade moves on any tool the better it will cut.
It only gets 4 stars. Materials used for the design are kinda cheap. Can't complain for [...] bucks though. About ordering these products and paying shipping? Why would you do such a thing. Go to Walgreens or Walmart. They usually get the as seen on tv products pretty quickly and you pay the same amount pre-shipping without having to pay shipping. Shamwows - 20bucks Slapchop-[...] bucks.
On the other spectrum people are complaining about the shamwows. Only they are usually the ones who are misusing the product. Have to use them damp. SLAP SLAP SLAP IT! Lasted about three days before I discarded it. The mechanism for keeping the cutters rotating didn't work on about 80% of the strokes, and putting the red plastic blade guide back in place after cleaning was a real exercise in patience. If you take the time to disassemble and reassemble into account, it'd be lots faster to just take out a paring knife and get 'er done. The Slap Chop is a manual chopper machine that works when you slap the plunger part. Every slap triggers the 3 blades below to chop and cut the food. The more you slap the Slap Chop, the finer the food gets. Chop up potatoes for home fries, or add mushrooms and green peppers for a tasty side to your eggs. Even use the Slap Chop for vegetables like carrots, celery and radishes for an instant salad. Nuts and chocolate are chopped easy for toppings on ice cream. The Slap Chop is great for onions and even garlic so your fingers don't smell and it saves time. The Slap Chop's base opens up to expose the blades for easy cleaning. Rerations < Slap Chop >

(good purchase!)
(Very Good)
(I guess not all griddles are the same...)
(Excellent Griddle) works great, used it at Church Sunrise service cooking Breakfast. have a smaller one for 20 years and still works, maybe this one will last as long or longer. +not a lot of bulky plastic to waste space +removable 'grease trap' +good clearance (to keep a plate full of pancakes warm underneath) +easily fit 6 large pancakes at a time +no need for any non-stick spray/oil/butter +even heating +easy assembly (just screw on the legs)
-cord isn't much longer than 2 feet It's very useful when you want to cook a lot, very quickly. But it's really big, i mean, big. You can cook steaks for 6 people in a couple of minutes, very ligt (you don't need cooking oil or something like that) Normally, I hate to give bad reviews since I think most products are disproportionately represented with negative reviews already. On this product, however, I feel that the exact opposite is true.
This review ran longer than I meant it to, so here is a quick overview if you don't want to read it all: 1) Uneven cooking surface (horrible for things like pancakes) 2) Doesn't heat evenly (it is very hot around the outside and cool in the middle) 3) Heats up slowly (probably to make sure the middle is at least a little hot) 4) This is specific to mine, but the grease tray broke in half on the third use when I wasn't even touching it.
Now, on to the details...
We got this griddle about 2 weeks ago to replace the unit that we've used for the last 15 years (although we've really only been using it heavily for the last couple of years). The teflon was starting to come off and the heating unit was starting to go out. When ordering the new griddle, I kind of thought they were probably all the same so I picked one that was reasonably priced and that had reasonably good reviews.
The first thing we did with the new griddle was to warm tortillas - I have to say that went perfectly well, so if that's what you want it for this is probably a great buy. After that, things went downhill pretty quickly.
The next morning, I broke out the new griddle to make some pancakes. I noticed that it seemed to take a long time to warm up, but that isn't really that big of a deal to me so I just waited patiently. When I started pooring the pancake mix onto the griddle surface, it immediately became obvious that it wasn't completely flat. The pancakes all ran together into the center of the griddle and came out as long oval shapes that I had to cut apart with the spatula - that was the first really irritating problem. The second problem is that it cooks very unevenly and the stuff in the middle hardly cooks at all while everything around the edges burns. I've never had pancakes that turned out worse.
As one last example of the uneven heating, I also made grilled ham&cheese sandwiches for the kids on this. Each sandwich had a burned line running exactly where it had been sitting over the heating element - it was almost funny, the rest of the sandwich was just fine.
Anyway, we ordered another brand of griddle to replace this one, but I had already thrown the box away so I can't return it - oh well... The new one hasn't come yet, but I'm a bit nervous now that I know that not all griddles are the same.
Edit: I just thought I'd throw in here that the replacement griddle I ended up getting was the Broil King USG-10G. After several days of usage, that griddle works great if you are looking for another alternative to this one. My wife absolutely loves this griddle, she uses it nearly as much as a regular stove. Every breakfast is cooked on it anymore. Highly recommend it. Heavy cast aluminum resists warping, distributes heat evenly. DiamondCoat deluxe nonstick finish inside and out. Submersible with Control Master heat control removed. Cast aluminum base, phenolic handles. Removable heat control and grease tray. 120 v AC 1500 watts Generously proportioned with a 22-by-11-inch cooking surface, this indoor electric griddle cooks enough pancakes or hamburgers for a large crowd. Similar to Presto’s Model 07038 22-Inch Electric Griddle, this model features a smoother, more professional grade nonstick finish. Because food doesn’t stick easily, the griddle requires very little grease, thereby producing healthier food. For fattier meats like bacon, a groove along one side channels drips through a small hole into a sturdy plastic container that slides completely out for cleaning. When the griddle’s heat control is removed, the unit is fully submersible in warm, soapy water. The 1500-watt griddle plugs into any 120-volt outlet and automatically maintains any temperature setting fromwarm to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Made of heavy duty cast aluminum that resists warping and distributes heat evenly, the griddle overall measures 27 by 13 by 4-1/2 inches and is covered by a two-year warranty against defects.--Ann Bieri Rerations < Presto 07039 Professional 22-Inch Jumbo Electric Griddle >

(Wonderful!!!!!)
(Great Gift)
(Great pots) This is an awesome set of cookware at a great price! They have the quality I wanted and have done a great job for us. If you want a good solid set of stainless cookware this is it and at a better price than what I looked at in several stores. I do recommend buying a can of Barkeepers Friend cleanser. Just a little sprinkle and a wash makes them look like new. As always Amazon did a great job getting them to me. Would definately buy again. This is a great set. All the pots and pans I need; even cooking. Great price. Arrived well packaged. Excellent set of pots. Extremely sturdy and well made. Appreciate rivited handles and lifetime warranty. I purchased the Kitchen Aid pots and pans based on Amazon customer reviews and Consumer Reports review. These were a gift. They live up to the reviews. I am buying another set for myself. These KitchenAid pots are great. They are heavy and cook evenly, with cool handles for pots and lids. I only wish there were other pots in this style to be bought. The sizes are great, but I would also like a steamer, a larger saute pan, and some extras in the same sizes. KitchenAid Gourmet Essentials 10-piece cookware set includes a 1-, 2- and 3-quart covered saucepan, an 8-quart covered stockpot, and an 8- and 10-inch open French skillet. Product is made from the world's best 18/10 stainless steel to provide exceptional luster and durability. The brushed stainless steel exterior provides a professional look and easy to maintain surface. The base is constructed of a stainless steel base that fully encapsulates an aluminum disk. This provides excellent heat distribution and no hot spots. The cool grip handles are stainless steel shafts with silicone rubber inserts that are oven safe up to 400 degrees. There's something clean and pure about cookware that's stainless steel inside and out. This stylishly finished version from KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials series features a brightly polished interior that discourages food from sticking, and a handsomely brushed exterior with a shiny band along the rim. Each pan is entirely constructed of premium 18/10 stainless steel, except for the encapsulated aluminum disk in the base (aluminum makes a superior conductor of heat), and the silicone grip encasing the handle. Even the tight-fitting lids are stainless steel. Each piece is oven-safe to 400 degrees F and is dishwasher-safe.Whether you want to fry up pancakes for breakfast, warm soup for lunch, or feed chili to a crowd, this set more than accommodates your most typical cooking needs. The 1-, 2-, and 3-quart saucepans all come with lids, as does the large 8-quart stockpot. The 8- and 10-inch French skillets are nice and deep, great for poaching eggs or stir-frying veggies. Stainless steel cooks most efficiently at medium heat, and can be used to start a dish on the stovetop and finish it in the oven. An excellent value, the set is covered by a lifetime limited warranty against defects.--Ann Bieri What's in the Box 10-piece cookware set. customer 's review (Great Ice Trays)
(Best Ice Cube Tray)
(fine, but shipping cost more than the product)
(The Answer to ice cube frustration)
(Rubbermaid White Ice Cube Trays) Been a long time since I've needed ice trays but I certainly remember lousy ice trays that shattered the cubes all over the floor and counter when I tried to get them out. These ice trays are great; they come out of the tray very easily and do not shatter. Full size cubes with no trouble. Don't know how long they will last, but I am totally satisfied at this point. I bought 5 trays so I qualified (about $30) for free shipping which makes the experience even better. This is by far the best ice cube tray I have ever had. It is a little pricey, but absolutely worth it. Ice cubes are loosened and come out with such ease. Ice cube trays are perfectly fine, but the shipping costs were like 10x the cost of the trays! Wish I had purchased them at WalMart! I've never bothered to write a review before, but these ice cube trays are exciting. Sounds like a goofy thing to be excited about, but when you add up the all the frustrating minutes spent trying to get ice cubes out of trays, this tray will add days of enjoyment to your life. "Exactly what I ordered. Ice cube tray was better than expected. Very sturdy. Ice cubes come out with minimum effort. Was having problems with thin ice cube trays cracking and leaking water into my freezer. Had a very difficult time twisting them causing wrist pain. These trays are much less effort, cubes pop out easily. White Ice Cube Tray, 4-3/4" x 12-1/2" x 1-1/2". Rerations < Rubbermaid 2867-RD-WHT White Ice Cube Tray >

Usually ships in 24 hours customer 's review (good but messy)
(Don't waste your money)
(Great Grind and Brew!)
(It's great, but very unforgiving!)
(Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 100 times, shame on you-know-who...) Most days I am happy with my Cuisinart all in one grinder brewer coffee machine. It grinds right there in the machine and you don't have to transfer from a separate grinding machine into the coffee machine. That is very convenient and saves the mess of spilling coffee grounds all over the place while you are desperate for your first cup of coffee. UNfortunately, the mesh filter inside the grinding chamber gets clogged up with coffee grounds, and you basically have to clean it or at least wipe it every time. So the convenience of self-grinding is nearly canceled out by the inconvenience of all the cleaning, which is also very messy. When I bought this there were few others like it on the market. Now there are many others which are a bit better and I think I will upgrade to a different brand next time. I love a good cup of freshly ground "strong" coffee. If you like strong coffee, this is not the coffee maker for you. It only hold enough bearns to make 3 cups (6 ounce cups). If you attempt to make more than 3 cups, you best be prepared to get out the tools to take it apart to clean. The coffee grinds goes everywhere except where you can easily clean it up.
I currently have this in a box in my garage. It will stay there. I absolutely love this coffee machine! The coffee this machine brews tastes great and the carafe keeps it very hot. The last machine I had turned off after an hour. That drove me crazy constantly having to turn the machine off and back on to give myself more time for hot coffee. I have returned to my carafe after a few hours and still have a cup of great-tasting, hot coffee. If you are after a simple coffee maker, this one is not it. There are quite a few parts to wash, but I pop them, in the dishwasher and am on my way. The noise? What do you expect from a grind and brew? If you don't want noise, buy a standard coffee maker. If you are after a good cup of coffee, I would highly recommend this machine. I've had and used it daily for 2 years. The coffee is great and it has spoiled me as I never order coffee out anymore. The pot is also very unforgiving. If you forget the filter, use a double filter instead of one, forget to put the carafe in place or forget to shut the basket door firmly, you wake up to the great smell of coffee and it's always all over the floor. The carafe will keep coffee hot for several hours and I've found that it only takes a couple of minutes to clean the unit. When the time comes, I'll definitely replace this one with another one, because it makes the best coffee. That's it, I've had it. After my Thermal Grind and Brew overflowed this morning--spilling coffee all over my tile counter (where my grout is permanently stained), my floor (where the carpet has similar stains), and even up into my walls, where the coffee has seeped during particularly bad spills--I decided I'd had enough. But then, I've said the same thing countless times before, and like an idiot, I keep coming back for some reason.
My wife and I have had this unit since shortly after it was released. Immediately, I loved it many good qualities which others have pointed out--convenience of the grinder, taste of freshly-ground beans, the timer, etc. But I quickly tired of washing the numerous pieces, which often don't come clean even in my high-end Kitchen Aid dishwasher. And the carafe that spills if you pour too fast--and only sort of keeps the coffee warm, even if you preheat it Etc.
But none of that could compare to the overflow problem. The first time it happened, I was in shock--and that was when I had granite counters and a linoleum floor, both of which cleaned easily enough. But as this became routine and a bit of online research revealed this was a common problem, I debated tossing my almost-brand-new and (at the time) $150+ coffee maker. And then it died.
Hoping I'd just received a dud, I was only too happy to return it to Cuisinart for a new one. But no, the new one had all the old one's problems, and the basket mechanism seemed even flimsier than the old one, meaning it popped open even more frequently.
Over time, I developed a routine of cleaning the coffee maker--and particularly the basket mechanism--meticulously and frequently. I found that a brush cleaned the grinds out of the workings best, and between that, daily wiping with a damp dishrag inside and out, shaking it VERY hard over the sink, and occasionally even running water through the thing's guts, I reduced the frequency of the overflows. But "reduced" is a relative term.
At times, I've considered putting Velcro on the basket housing to keep it in place. But even then, if it pops out just a bit, that's enough to let coffee come flowing out, so I didn't bother. I made a game out of "What would make this coffee maker work properly?" But I've never come up with an answer.
So, I've settled into a routine of watching the grinding process and making sure the brewing has begun before walking away--and so much for the convenience of the timer, eh? And that's what I did today. I don't know why, but even though I'd cleaned it thoroughly two days ago, I just had a feeling it was due to burn me. And that's just what it did, minutes after I walked away.
Mercifully, this time something like 80% of the grinds flowed out, and this time they didn't go into the carafe--meaning most of the coffee continued flowing into it. But the downside was that the thick glop of the grinds went everywhere, flowing like mud in an overflowing river. Luckily, my wife caught the mess in its relatively early stages. Other times, we've found the coffee literally five or six feet from the maker by the time we've figured out there was a problem.
Don't believe the people who try to downplay this problem. I three other people who own this unit, and ALL of them have the same dilemma--underutilizing or even tossing an underperforming, pricey coffee maker, or continuing to use it at risk to their counters, floors, and walls. But not me. Like I said, I'm done. This is, by conservative estimate, probably the twentieth time it's overflowed, so I took it straight out to my back patio, in a hurry to clean up the mess. And I plan to deposit the DGB-600BC in the trash can later today.
At least I think I do. I've let this thing abuse me so many times before, only time will tell whether I really wise up or fall for it yet again. But if you don't already own one, you're lucky, because you can turn your back and say no, like I wish I had long ago... With its sleek Italian styling, brushed stainless finish and "loaded" feature package, you'd expect nothing less than a fabulous cup of coffee. And you won't be disappointed! From filtering the water, to grinding the beans, to keeping your brew hot, not to mention having it ready and waiting for you first thing in the morning, this handsome machine does it all, and then some. When the aroma of freshly brewed coffee--from freshly ground beans--wafts into your bedroom in the morning, you won't need your alarm clock. Preset this coffeemaker for your desired wake-up time, add coffee beans to the grinder, and in the morning the beans are ground to a medium grind and hot coffee awaits in the 10-cup stainless steel, double-wall insulated thermal carafe. You can also program the machine to start brewing at the end of a dinner party to avoid having to get up from the table, or to have hot coffee waiting after a brisk winter walk. When making fewer than five cups of coffee, use the 1-to-4-cups setting to improve extraction and heat; coffeemakers without this setting often lack the time to heat up properly, and coffee comes out cooler. A disposable charcoal filter removes chlorine and odors from tap water, improving coffee flavor, and should be changed every few months. Other features include a gold-tone commercial-style filter (or use No. 4 basket-style paper filters); capacity to use preground coffee instead of beans; 30-second Brew Pause, which allows a cup be poured before brewing is complete; and an audible tone to indicate the pot is ready. The grinder removes for easy cleaning, and all removable parts can be washed safely in the upper rack of a dishwasher. The Cuisinart Grind and Brew measures 15 by 8 by 7-1/2 inches, and comes with a three-year warranty.--Ann Bieri Rerations < Cuisinart DGB-600BC Grind and Brew, Brushed Chrome >

(OK but not great)
(Good Buy)
(Easy to clean)
(Very pratical and good value) I always like to have a pitcher of ice tea in the fridge during the summer and this has become our favorite one to use. I actually stumbled across this looking at a friends wish list here on Amazon. It looked so nice that I sent her one and grabbed one for myself.
I have to admit when I received it I thought "There is NO WAY this pitcher holds 72 oz!" What I learned was don't let the size deceive you - I measured it and it does. I now have a beautiful serving pitcher that I enjoy using with guests and I always have ice tea cold and ready to drink. I will note that I have only used the "ice container" once. I prefer to just have ice in my drink so it hasn't been as useful to me as it might be to others. Also being that this is glass, I have made sun tea in it when I have time. Definitely a great bargain for a very nice item! I posted a picture of mine in the customer images. This is a nice pitcher but like another reviewer I received it with a broken stirer and the cover does not seal completely. If you are looking for a closed lid, keep looking. Hi, If you are looking for a medium sized pitcher with good looks and functionality, this is the pitcher for you. Continue reading below for my pros and cons regarding the Bormioli Chiller.
Pros: *The chiller looks very nice. It's compact and easily fits in the second shelf in my fridge *Hard glass; definitely made of quality glass--not the cheap ones that seem like they'll break with a slight tap of your nails. *Ice Container is a very nice feature. Fill the plastic tube with as many ice cubes as will fit; your drinks will be cold w/out being watery *Drinks pour our easily w/out spilling unto your floors or whereever else, just be careful not to pour too fast or naturally it'll spill
Cons: *As advertised, the components are plastic, i.e the white lid cover, stirrer (I recall one reveiwer mentioning they never received it, well it was supplied with the pitcher)and plastic ice tube. *unlike the good quality glass, i felt the plastic was cheap and flimsy; guess you can't have everything in one product *Handle is short and I wish it was longer
Overall I gave this pitcher a 4 b/c of the cons and also b/c it appeared larger in the picture or maybe it was me. In any case, this is a great picher for a single person or very small family. I definitely recommend buying this and keeping your drinks cold this summer! Enjoy. I've had mine for about 9 months now and I love it. I don't have a dish washer in my apartment so when I went looking for a new pitcher, it had to be easy for me to clean. This one's great. I can easily fit my hand inside to clean it. The glass is also nice and solid. I accidentally dropped it washing it one day and it was fine.f I liked the pitcher so much that I ordered another one a week after the first arrived. I use the pitcher to hold water, and don't really use the ice container, so it doesn't matter to me the container is made of plastic. I like the fact it has a lid, but I don't have to take off the lid to pour water. Chiller pitcher cools any drink without diluting the contents, by ultilizing an tube that gets filled with ice, and then attaches to the top lid. (Corelle Simple Lines dishware)
(I love this set)
(Great Plates) Clean lines...just like its name.. Very contemporary look..love it.. Got several complements. Its not too loud very subtle and stylish... At $49.99 with free shipping this was the best deal anywhere.
Ordered 2 sets of this modern Corelle pattern and ALL arrived without any chips or broken dishes. The simple pattern of this dinnerware set is the canvas for creating "works of art" when you add and arrange your choice of colorful foods. Corelle is durable and affordable, and Amazon has the best prices with free shipping and no tax. Go on, what are you waiting for? Poor workmanship leaves the painted lines partially faded,&in some cases even interrupted in pattern. These dishes were returned. It's a shame that quality is so poor!! I have been looking to upgrade my Corelle for a while now. I really like this particular look and priced it locally. With Amazon's free shipping this was the best price around. The plates and dishes are large and the cups are just the right size. Amazon shipped this quickly and it arrived in perfect condition. Received my 2 sets of dinnerware with no broken parts, and really enjoy the simplist beauty of the plates, and the fact that they are so thin, can get more in my cupboard without crowding. These plates were a great buy and even cheaper then from the manufacturer. Corelle Square 16-Piece Set, Service for 4, includes 4-each 10-1/4-inch Dinner Plates, 8-3/4-inch Lunch Plates, 22-ounce Soup/Cereal Bowls,12-ounce Porcelain Mugs, Simple Lines Displaying the latest in contemporary aesthetics, Corelle's Square Round line consists of square plates and bowls with rounded corners, delineated round centers, and subtly lifted rims. The Simple Lines pattern presents a white background minimally graced by several swooping thin lines of black. The effect is at once stark yet artistically appealing, creating a dinnerware pattern that can be used for everyday, year-round dining or saved for special occasion entertaining.Like all Corelle dinnerware, Simple Lines is made of laminated layers of glass that produce incredible strength while being very lightweight, thin, and stackable. Moreover, because the enamel pigments are fired onto the dinnerware, the design won't fade or scratch off over time. This 16-piece set is comprised of four of each of the following: 10-1/4-inch dinner plate, 8-3/4-inch lunch plate, 22-ounce cereal or soup bowl, and 12-ounce porcelain mug. While sudden changes in temperature should be avoided, Corelle Square Round is safe for the microwave, oven, and dishwasher, and is covered by a 3-year warranty against chips and breakage.--Ann Bieri What's in the Box 4 place settings. (Warranty Service Difficult To Obtain)
(The microwave which would not open) This item arrived from Amazon and worked right out of the box. Two days later, the motor started making a loud noise, the turntable started spinning slowly, nothing was being heated and there was SMOKE coming out of one of the internal vents.
SO ANNOYED - I will not purchase electronics from Amazon again; this is the 2nd item I have received that broke within a week. Save your money and your time, this item is a piece. Great Product. So far so good. I usually choose sharp when it comes to certain kitchen appliances, i had a previous microwave from SHARP since 2001 and it is still running strong. Decided to upgrade and get another SHARP appliance for my new place. I purchased this microwave as I needed a larger more powerful model. My previous Sharp was still operating after 15 years. This one lasted only six months. I am told it needs a new magnatron which seems to be a common complaint. Seems like this product should be recalled and Sharp should up their quality control. No more Sharp for me! I purchased a Sharp R-420LW in December, 2008 from hhgregg. In June, 2009 the sensor feature failed causing sparks and loud grinding noises to emanate from the oven. I located Sharp repair services on the internet and called the listed number to obtain service. Unfortunately, I did not ask if the location listed on Sharp's website was accurate. I took the oven to the listed location only to find a vacant residential house. I then went to hhgregg where the original purchase was made and after a lengthy wait an hhgregg "manager" begrudgingly provided me with a 800 number that led to a repair service in a city some 240 miles from my location. I heartily caution anyone interested in a Sharp product to first check out warranty service availability. It was a Mother's day gift and I presented it to my mother. "Well, see what the manual says about this," says my mother. Sure, Mom, once I can get the door open, I can then get the manual, and then, I'll read the manual as to how to get the door open. Amazon was good about refunding my purchase price plus the shipping(back). I will do more research and find another microwave.
