Cupcake Courier
customer 's review (The envy of all my mommy friends....)
(Great)
(Not sure about this one.)
(My Order doesnt arrive complete)
(Cupcake Courier) Whenever I take this cupcake holder somewhere, all the other mommies in the crowd approach me asking about it. It is a fantastic way to get those pesky cucpakes to an event without smooshing their icing. I love this thing! And the fact that it holds 36 cupcakes is great, too! Was a gift for my Daughter in Law....She loved it ..she said it's better than a box and holds enough cupcakes for the grandsons to take to school.. Also liked it because it also holds a cake. And the color is pretty too, no other parent has something like this cupcake courier. I purchased this item for a cupcake baking friend of mine as a Christmas gift, through Amazon. It appeared to be a great product, but due to improper packaging in the shipping department, it arrived damaged. I was shocked at their carelessness. I returned it without a hitch and purchased another item locally, so I could carry the product home myself. the product is exc, but my order doesn't arrived complete, I'd ordered 2 items, but only got 1, and was charged for the 2, plus shipping and taxes for the 2.
I love my cupcake courier. I don't have anything negative to say about it and I highly recommend it to anyone. I didn't have any problems with messing up the cupcakes while trying to get them out of the carrier like some of the reviews mentioned. I also did not do much decorating on the cupcakes the first time around. Maybe that is what the difference is? Designed to transport and store cupcakes and muffins in a stylish carrier. Invented and developed by a mother of two-in need of a product to transport gazillions of cupcakes to schools and parties Rerations < Cupcake Courier 36-Cupcake Plastic Storage Container, Petal Pink >

(Coffee Pot)
(I returned it...)
(Good at first - weak coffee after three months)
(Mr Coffee my second (jr.)) This is a good reliable product. My wife and I use it everyday and can be assured that when we use the program feature, we will wake up to a hot, ready to drink, pot of coffee!! I was very happy with the Mr. Coffee product and it was an excellent but. Delivery was great too. I didn't pay attention to the reviews and I regret lot...
After reading a lot of reviews saying that the coffee that this coffemaker makes tastes bad, I still want to try it since this is small, cute and have a lot of functions that I consider as crucial in a coffee maker...
First of all, the coffee really tastes bad!!! It tastes like plastic!!! I tried different coffee bean brands and all tasted terrible... We couldn't drink it... impossible!
Second, the digital clock is not precise... after 2 weeks the clock was more than 5 minutes late... I set the clock again and the same thing happened...
I returned it... Well, I've been using it for about 3 months now and it's been great. No complaints at all. But all of a sudden the coffee is coming out really weak. Even putting in double the amount of coffee didn't really do anything for the strength. I GUESS YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!! DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS UNIT. SPEND A LITTLE MORE $$$ FOR SOMETHING BETTER, I drink perhaps too much coffee, but this programable with pause and serve feature is my fav. This is the second one I've purchased and the last one still works so it is going out to the shop and this one is in the kitchen. I love the two hour shut off feature so I don't burn the house down. Set the Delay Brew feature up to 24 hours in advance and get ready to wake up to a freshly brewed pot of hot, delicious coffee. This coffee maker also offers Pause `n Serve capability, allowing you to pour a cup of coffee while the coffee maker is still brewing. And the Removable Filter Basket makes cleanup quick-and-easy. (Good skillet)
(Great Impulse Purchase)
(Excellent product so far)
(presto 16" electric skillet) I bought this skillet to replace a cheapie that lasted only two months. The fit and finish of this pan is so good that I ordered another one tonight. When I find a product that meets or exceed my expectations, I like to have one in reserve. Every electric skillet I've used (and I've had many...I'm in my sixties) has hot spots. This pan has the most even heating I've ever seen. When cooking grilled cheese sandwiches for the family, there are always areas that turn out white instead of brown and crispy. Not so with this skillet; the entire slice of bread is brown and crispy (all six sanwiches). Another feature I like is the fact that the control has actual temperatures on it; not WARM, MEDIUM and HIGH.
One tip...to keep the legs from loosening, I found that a small drop or two of loctite (blue)on the screws that attach them to the pan keeps them from coming loose. I don't know what causes the legs on electric skillets to loosen, but I've not had a problem since using loctite.
You won't be sorry if you buy this electric skillet. First thing the cord is too short. Because of my disability I use it to cook at the kitchen table where I can sit down while cooking. I had to use a heavy duty surge protector to extend the cord.
The glass top is good for seeing the food while it's cooking. I don't cover the skillet all the way if I want to vent it. It would be nice to have a guide for what degrees on the dial equal simmer. I had to guess and fuss with it. Both the rack and the cookbook have to be ordered separate. I saw where the cookbook is available on Amazon but haven't seen the rack on Amazon. This skillet is adequate and is easy to clean. Didn't have any time for research and I needed an electric skillet immediately. My kitchen was being gutted for a remodel and we were hungry! This was on sale and I strongly considered the Rival--but the Presto looked light-weight, was immersible, was quite a bit cheaper, and didn't have that clunky big control sticking out in front, so I grabbed it. I am so happy I did.
It cooks evenly, is true to the temperature on the setting knob, has no bells and whistles that will make it easier to break, and the design is very attractive. Really cleans like a dream, and nothing sticks. I have moved from a range to a 30-inch coooktop, and was a little worried that I might not have all the space I needed for stove-top cooking. Well, this is the solution. Not only that, but often, you don't even need to use the cooktop since this does the job. It's the best for braising things like pot roast before roasting, whipping up a quick stir-fry, making quantities of chili, and using as a warming or chafing dish. I used to be spilling over the sides of stove-top pots for these things, and now it's so easy. I'm going to order the rack to make it more versatile, and am collecting electric skillet recipes. This was going to be a temporary fix, and then probably go live in the basement. Not so! It's a great additin to any kitchen. I surely did make the right guess this time! My wife wanted an electric frypan because our gas stove did not allow for a "simmer" setting. After reading reviews on Amazon we bought the Presto. My wife has used it a few times so far and is delighted with it. It allows for simmering foods, is large enough to cook a family sized meal, and is submersible for easy cleaning. As I said, it is relatively new in our home, but she is a happy cooker so far. No fifth star yet until I see its reliability. Presto 06852 16-Inch Electric Skillet with Glass Cover Excellent price and shipping. Delighted with order. Jumbo size. Big 16" base with high side-walls for extra cooking and serving capacity. Roasts, fries, grills, stews, bakes, makes casseroles and more. Fully immersible with heat control removed for easy cleaning. Tempered glass cover lets you see what is inside. (disappointed with the finish)
(Really great scroop.)
(Well priced, attractive, works VERY well)
(Good scoop, could use a better grip) This scoop works better than any other that I've tried. However, after a few years' worth of cycles through my dishwasher, the plating started bubbling off. I bought a duplicate to replace it and will hand wash the new one... It's well worth it. the non-stick finish is bubbling up and chipping off the bowl of the scoop after a few years of use. The scoop works very well, but I don't like the idea of eating chips of the silvery stuff. This scoop is great. It slides right into the hardest ice cream, and when you twist the handle, it makes a shapely ball of ice cream easily. The scooping part is stainless steel (which I'm a fan of), and I took off a point for the plastic handle (although it doesn't conduct cold as much, which does make it comfortable to hold). I'm a big fan of this ice cream scoop. It cost under $10, is attractively and comfortably designed, and scoops&then RELEASES the ice cream very well We received this with some other items off our wedding registry. I like this one over the many others I've used. However, I get a better grip my small hands with the Tupperware one. I like the size of the scoops I can get with this one, though. Overall, this is a great item. This heavy, sturdy scoop has a superior design which makes it well-equipped to dig into even the hardest frozen confection¿be-it ice cream, sorbet or frozen yogurt. The scoop shape also creates and appetizing presentation. Non-slip, ergonomic handle keeps hands out of the cold and free from strain. Plus, the handle is treated so that it will not yellow with age. This ice-cream scoop has sharp metal edges that cut perfectly round balls from even the hardest ice cream, frozen yogurt, or sorbet. The handle is ergonomically designed for holding with a fist while keeping hands and wrists from feeling strained. For safety, the handle is made of non-slip plastic that provides a secure grip and insulates hands from the cold temperature of the scoop. For long-term durability, the handle is coated with UV protection to prevent it from ever yellowing. This ice-cream scoop is comfortable for either righties or lefties to use and is covered by Zyliss under a five-year warranty from the date of purchase.--Cristina Vaamonde Rerations < Zyliss Ice Cream Scoop >

(Super Remote BBQ thermometer)
(Great product overall)
(Not bad)
(Perfect for BBQing) Bought this wireless thermometer years ago. Works great for my smoker, barbecue, baking, beer brewing or anything you need to watch for the right temp. The only thing you need to be carefull is to NOT submerge the probes in water. Just the probe tips are water proof. I had to replace one probe ($15) after a year of use. Other than that, great product. I really enjoy using this thermometer. It lives up to expectations, and is essential for good BBQ. Minor annoyance-- the on/off switch on the transmitter is behind a weather proof cover. Rather than removing the cover every time, I simply leave the cover off and put the transmitter inside a plastic baggy if there is a possibility of rain. This is a great product, it had been recommended by several people on various grilling reviews. I love it; I've used it several times and the two temperatures (one at the 'grate' level for accurate surface temp., and one that goes into the meat) make it so much easier to regulate the cooking and get the meat off at the correct time. The only negative is that the surface temp. probe died after about a week (which I understand is too common with this brand), but since I bought this through Amazon, it was promptly replaced (they actually RA'd the whole unit instead of just the probe). Overall, a great product that I hope to use from now on for my grilling. Works almost as good as I thought it would from all the reviews. A couple things that I didn't like though were that there were a few times that the units lost communication from each other, the on/off switch on the meter is inside the battery compartment so you have to open it everytime to turn it off or on, and lastly, the battery compartment door has 2 gaskets that both fell out after only a couple of uses. Sure, I can put them back in but they seem to easily pop out now. Temperature metering work great though and that's the most important thing. my husband is getting into competition cooking and found this product. it has been perfect for his use. he is able to walk away from the grill/smoker and still have an eye on the meat and internal temps. we would highly recommend it to anyone that just likes to walk away! Wireless Smoker Thermometer tells the cook the internal temperature of the smoker and the internal temperature of the foods being cooked in the smoker from up to 100 feet away. Smoking meat and fish properly can take days. So, rather than going out to the smoker to check the temperature time and time again, simply install a RediChek Remote Wireless Smoker Thermometer and rest at ease. This handy thermometer monitors smoker air temperature and food temperature from up to 100 feet away. And, if the temperature drops too low or jumps too high, the RediChek alarm goes off, so there are no spoiled batches-just certainty that every batch of smoked salmon is perfection. The RediChek can also be used with an oven or grill for peace of mind while baking, barbecuing, and broiling and for fewer trips to the kitchen. Best of all, the RediChek is wireless, so installation is a snap. Your purchase includes four AAA batteries for out-of-box use.--Brian Olson Rerations < Maverick RediChek Remote Wireless Smoker Thermometer >

(A nice looking littlt piece of crap)
(Really love it.)
(Does so much more than just spices!!!!!)
(This is so much better than the old grinder I had.) Retractable Power Cord got jammed the second time it was used. Thankfully, I was able to return it for a full refund. I called Cusinart and they could offer no help except to tell me not to try to take the product apart since it would void the warrantee. I ran it for three minutes trying to grind a few peanuts. It ground them poorly. The next timi I attempted to use it, it would not start: No reset button and no fuse.
Customer service was very nice. They must have known that it is a piece of crap because they immediately agreed to send a new unit without waiting for return of the existing unit. My guess is that they throw the returns in the trash rather than sending them back to China. I really love this machine. It's handy, convenient, quiet and grind very well. And it's soooo easy to clean! I grind some really hard beans like mung beans and in seconds they are powder, it really amazes me. Also, it's so stylish that I just put it on my counter. I really love it! I love this little cutie!!! I bought this to grind star anise but I have yet to even use it for that, it has so many uses!!!!!! I have made my own tahini by grinding sesame seeds in it; it grinds up nuts, cookies for garnishes, anything that you want to do in small amounts and don't want to drag out your food processor or do manually with a mortar and pestle!!! Wonderful product!!!!!!! My old grinder had a very short metal wall and the top/cup started to break off in little pieces. They ended up in the nuts/spices. This has a removable bin with a full metal cup. Easy to clean and store. I put it to test the first week making marzipan and almond paste. It got a little warm but it did a great job. The only flaw I could find is it seems to be a little out of balance which makes it a little noisier. I'd buy another if/when this should die. There's nothing quite like the smell and taste of freshly ground spices. And with the Cuisinart Spice and Nut Grinder it's easier than ever to efficiently rind any spice or create original, tantalizing spice blends. The blade is exclusively designed to grid spices and nuts and the simple press-down lid starts the grinding process with one touch, sealing in all the finely ground spices. (Not an effective juicer)
(Juice squirts out the sides)
(Lemon Squeezer)
(this was perfect for me) i bought it for my son to make some great bar drinks and he loves it. it's easy to use and extracts alot of juice. it is well made and strong , will not break easily. would buy again. it's hard to get a well made and functional lemon/lime squeezer. Normally, I love things from Oxo Good Grips. Their kitchen tools all seem to work well and effectively and to resolve all those little issues that other brands of tools do not. However, this juicer is the exception. I used it twice and then gave it away. I tried lemons and limes and both times it left lots of juice and pulp in the fruit. So much so that I had to take my reamer and rejuice it. This citrus squeezer is very hard to squeeze closed and even though I work out several times a week and am pretty strong "for a girl", I found it hard to use. I am going back to my reamer or my good old fashioed glass saucer juicer that have worked so well for so long. I bought one of these to replace a standard Mexican aluminum squeezer that I broke when trying to squeeze an old, hard lime. This product definitely had more attention paid to design and materials, and is probably stronger, but, juice squirts out the side - not a good thing. After years of squeezing lemons by hand, this purchase was the best investment I ever made, Works great!
OXO Good Grips 1057962 Citrus Squeezer
I was looking for a handy juicer, since really had had it with trying to get juice out of limes and trying to keep the seeds out of juice when juicing lemons. I use lime and lemon juice every day in my cooking. Love this juicer, is very efficient and easy to use. Highly recommend it. The OXO Good Grips Citrus Squeezer is designed to look like a traditional juicer taking the guess work out of how to properly insert the fruit. Just place the lemon or lime half into the bowl face down and squeeze the handles to fully extract the juice. The Citrus Squeeze is constructed of strong, die-cast aluminum coated with a non-stick finish and has non-slip, pressure-absorbing handles. Dishwasher safe. Usually ships in 24 hours customer 's review (Fix the programming buttons!)
(It's Okay)
(slock/timer)
(Poor quality control?)
(Nice functionality and decent quality for the price.) As stated by Frances E. Weatherly "Grandma Fran" from Sunnyvale, CA in her 1 star review:
"In no time the hate began as I had to push the buttons so hard to get them to work. Sometimes I pushed them sideways and more softly and eventually got what I wanted to came up. Then it hopped all around to the other items, like the date, time, hour, minutes, seconds. I had to push away to make it stop. The only thing that worked well was the clock."
For me, there has not yet been "hate", but definitely annoyance! I LOVE the timer; once you get it programmed it is a great timer and counts down or up just fine, but the buttons make it a pain to get it programmed correctly in the first place. Also, as mentioned by many other people, the magnet is WEAK!
Other than those 2 main points, the timer is great, so 4 stars. Its not the best timer in the world, It is a little tricky to figure out how to set it but you get used to it. It's also very quite so stay in the room or room next to it or you might not here it go off depending on the thickness of your walls. Though I really like that it has a clock on it and its got a magnet on the back which I didn't know until I got it. It is a nice looking clock timer that can time up or time down. It is also a handy clock that can sit nicely on a desk. I actually use it to time myself when making presentations or speeches. Nice big numbers. Several of the buttons were inoperable, so I could never set the unit. None of the functions--clock, timer, stopwatch--were usable. I suspect there was poor quality control from the manufacturer, since other reviewers obviously received workable units.
If the unit functioned properly, I believe it would have been fine, probably rating 4 or 5 stars. It has all of the features I wanted and the price seemed right. Unfortunately, the only part of the device worth keeping is the AAA battery. The rating system does not allow a rating lower than a single star, so that is my rating.
Because of the device's price, it is not worth the effort to package up and return, so I suppose I'll just toss it in the trash. This is my first real disappointment from Amazon; I have ordered dozens of books and other items over the years.
While this is not the best-built timer that money can buy, it is a good value for the price charged.
Very easy to use - never even had to look at the manual to figure it out (a rarity for me when it comes to gadgets). The keys make a click when pressed, so you get confirmation that the key has been pressed. They are a bit on the small side, and take some force to press (nothing outrageous, but they are not the "soft press" style of key). Those are both good features, since the size makes it easy to carry in your pocket, and you don't have to worry about it inadvertently turning on or off if you bump it.
I use the easel stand when it is on the counter. It folds very quickly and easily to carry in your pocket, so you can take it with you when you leave the kitchen. Lots of functions - timer, stop watch (up or down) and clock. Loud alarm that turns itself off automatically after about 1 min. You can also store time settings to (watch out - horrible pun around the corner...) save time punching in the same numbers. For example, I often need to set the timer for 3 minutes for brewing tea, so I store 3 min into memory and just have to press a button to recall it.
All in all, a very good value.
Four functions in one compact unit - timer, stop watch, calendar and clock. Times up to four activities at once. Accurately time sup to 24 hours in timer or stop watch mode. Easy to read l.c.d. digital display shows hours, minutes and seconds. Memory store sup to three different timer settings. Some purist cooks claim to have an instinctive inner timer, but most people need a little help remembering when to take the roast out or punch down the bread dough for its second rise. The Presto four-in-one Electronic Clock/Timer fulfills that basic function, but it doesn't stop there. When not in use as a timer, the time and date--month, day, year, and day of the week--are displayed. There's also a stopwatch function that's useful in many ways, and not necessarily only in the kitchen. The easy-to-read display is helpful when there's kitchen work going on; that way it can hang up out of the way and stay clean. A loud tone sounds when the time is up; and the memory function stores up to three countdown times for reuse. The versatile clip can also become an easel stand, and it has a magnet, too--it's good to go wherever it's needed. The Presto electronic Clock/Timer operates on one AAA battery (one battery is included.) The Clock/Timer is not immersible; it can be carefully wiped clean with a slightly damp rag. The timer measures 2-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches. A sheet detailing containing operating instructions is included. (Good Quality)
(fit perfect)
(Does exactly what it says - and it's so soft!)
(Kitchenaid cloth cover is a good buy) Kitchen Aid cover was exactly the perfect gift. Quality, clean style and a very quick transaction and delivery. Thank you! I bought this cover for my Artisan stand mixer. It's made from a quilted cotton fabric which fits perfectly over the mixer and has a deep side pocket to hold the booklet or flat beater attachment. Wish it had a larger color selection. I bought this for a Large Hamilton Beach Mixer and It fit perfect. FAST Shipping Too! Just ordered the khaki cover. It's an "official" KitchenAid product, which I like. And it's surprisingly soft. Well worth the 20 or so dollars to keep my mixer clean between uses. I ordered the cover for my artisan mixer and am very pleased with it. It is made of heavy canvas and is very durable. It covers my kitchenaid mixer very well even with the splatter shield on it and the two pockets on the side are good storage for small things. Keep your KitchenAid stand mixer free from dust, lint or splatters with this quilted cotton cover. The stand mixer cover is heavyweight so it stands up to years of use. It is sized to fit any tilt-head or bowl-lift model. The khaki cover with trim coordinates with most kitchen decors and is machine-washable. Dry flat. This cloth cover was designed to protect KitchenAid tilt-head and bowl-lift stand mixers from getting bumped and scratched when not in use. Made of heavyweight 100-percent cotton, the cover is quilted for extra padding and has piping around its edges. A large front pocket keeps favorite recipes, cookbooks, or mixer attachments where they’ll be easily found. The cover is machine-washable for convenience and is covered by a 1-year hassle-free warranty.--Cristina Vaamonde Rerations < KitchenAid KMCC1KB Stand Mixer Cloth Cover, Khaki with Black Trim >

(Essential kitchen equipement, wish I bought it sooner)
(Great to make Shanghai Won Ton Wrap)
(So much easier)
(Happy with Purchase) Handle breaks off after using it couple times, noodle cutting mechanism very cheap, does not cut noodles good. Product's small base does not balance wel on the table when cutting. Inferior noodle cutter, avoid. I have chickens and I have eggs and I live an hour from the fresh pasta store. After 13 batches of egg dough, rolled out with a rolling pin, I told my sister I wanted this machine. I made my first batch last night, and the consistancy of the rollers makes all the difference in the taste and tenderness of the pasta. Plus it is faster than my rolling pin. The machine works well, comes with no useable directions. Its heavy and well made, requires a spot to clamp, the edge of my rolling table was perfect. The tension knob is non intuitive,,, pull it out to turn the rollers!!! The thin setting is very thin!, too thin for me. Meduim is about right. My recipe is easy, 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 duram, 2 eggs, dash of olive oil. Knead into a ball, a firm dough, rest an hour. Cut off small pieces, , flatten, dust with flour and roll. I use a heavy baking sheet to hold noodles. The cutting blade has two edges, fine and super fine. Fine is good enough for me. Be sure and seperate nooldes right away and allow to dry for a while before cooking. I just lay them on the cookie sheet. Boil lots of water, add salt, then noodles coook and enjoy. This machine makes making pasta really easy and fast. My family was very happy with the results. The pro: This pasta machine is great to make mini shanghai won ton wrap. With No.9, you can create really thin wrap which is amazing. I already uploaded two pictures.
The Con: I received this machine with broken pasta attachment. It cannot make spaghetti (which I usually call thick noodle).
Amazon does not allow me to exchange it. I can only return it for a refund. Then reorder it. I don't want to bother to buy another thing to qualify for the $25 super saving.
It is sad to purchase something brand new and received something broken.
Cross your fingers for your order with this machine. This is so much easier than rolling out pasta with a rolling pin. A good solid product. Only negative as far as I'm concerned is that the handle can come loose when you're in a pasta making frenzy. After sending untold hours pouring over reviews and wondering if I made the right choice, I can say that I'm very happy with my Pinzon pasta maker.
I like the fact that it is slightly narrower than some of the others since it gives me better control over the dough passing through the machine. Also it appears to be very sturdy and performed smoothly. I think problems people experienced with pasta makers are mostly due to the consistency of the dough. You need to find a simple recipe and be sure that the dough IS NOT sticky. If you get it right there is no cleaning required of the machine.
My only negative comment , which was mentioned by others, is that the handle may slip out of the machine. I solved this by putting a small piece of masking tape on the end of the handle.
