Although inexpensive, they are truly quality knives. These knives are lightweight and sharp. So far, I have enjoyed using them to prep strawberries for jam. Being light makes them handy for longer tasks and the various designs are convenient for different jobs -plus you can put them in the dishwasher. Henkel products are known worldwide as some of the best. These knives are no exception and live up to the company's reputation. They are sharp, easy to handle and use. We have other Henkel products as well as CUTCO knives but these offer the ability to use them for all different types of requirements. Very pleased! This is the fourth set of these knives that I have purchased as gifts. I love my own set and use these knives almost exclusively in my kitchen. The instructions literally tell you to SHAKE THE BOTTLE to make the soda. Yeah, guess what happens when you shake a bottle of soda and then try to dispense it? Please warn others not to waste their money. I am still hoping I get mine back but I doubt I will.... These soda chargers are hard to find. I was very happy to order them on the Internet and receive them in two days. Chargers worked but the end product was not very bubbly. I am not sure weather it is the charger or the proceedure. The instructions did not give a help section. it was what we ordered but VERY poorly packaged, many of the chargers came out of their boxes in shipping, and were ruined subsequently. the people that ship these cartridges should package their goods better, i.e., with bubble rap or those plastic pouches, not with plain old brown paper. It is so convenient to have the seltzer maker and the chargers. I can have seltzer anytime and I don't have to worry about recycling soda bottles. That's good for the environment. The probe broke after 2 months of use. I used the thermometer about 3x per week. A replacement probe is about $8, which is half the cost of the original thermometer. Taylor Precision Products Suite A 2220 Entrada del Sol Las Cruces, NM 88001 I used this as a timer, have used it to track smoker temperature outside, several roasts and such in the oven, and to test internal temp on chicken, pork, turkey, beef roasts etc. It is very convenient being able to set a target temp and have the alarm go off, so you can just sit back and relax vs., checking every 15 minutes with a stick in thermometer. Was worried the probe or wire would melt, but they are rated to over 400 degrees and although discolored now, they are not worn through or have any sort of breaks and tears in the wiring. I also have one of those probe thermometers by Taylor. The battery died in less than a year and when I tried to open it up and change batteries the screw cover snapped a part and would not lock closed. This Taylor thermometer has been 10x better. (Excellent coffee press) (Great press, but) nice concept, bad execution. i much prefer stainless steel (rather than glass), but the filter mesh assembly is not well designed on this model, unfortunately. the mesh doesn't wrap all the way around the spring that pushes it against the walls, so looks like there are some gaps where grinds can sneak through, resulting in more sediment in the cup. still usable, but wouldn't buy a new one if it goes. This is my second Nissan insulated press pot. The last one lasted about 10 years and we had to get this one because the screw that holds the filter together fell out and was lost. The insulation is excellent and the pot makes excellent coffee. Highly recommended. Bearing in mind that other stainless presses sell for $70, this one at $30 is great. Some people have complained about sediment. Just increase grind size and also realize, this is a trait of French Presses to a degree. It is a bit of a trade-off for the balanced smooth coffee. My expensive glass press also leaches a bit of the coffee grinds into the beverage. I have now used this unit for about a year. It delivers day after day great coffee. My old coffee maker has not returned. I have tried several other solutions I received as gifts and have returned to this. In fact, I am drinking a cup of coffee right now I made in the press. People complaining about how hot it keeps the coffee are ridiculous folk. It does a great job for about 1-1 1/2 hours and it is still drinkably hot after 2. At that point, you don't want the coffee sitting in with the grinds anyway. If you need to warm it up, throw it in the micro or pour it into the coffee maker you will no longer use and turn on the burner. To filter sediment, if it really annoys you, pour it through a cheap coffee filter. I honestly find the coffee in this pot the most consistent and among the best coffee I have had...anywhere. It even makes a great cup out of canned coffee for those days you are too lazy to fiddle with beans and a grinder. It is also incredibly durable. Great for travel. And while it doesn't look as elegant as the $70 models, it looks great in our new stainless steel kitchen. After yet another broken drip coffee pot (they never seem to last more than a year) I decided to go low-tech and get a coffee press. I'll never go back to drip coffee. This pot is of excellent quality and makes the best tasting coffee ever. After breaking my fourth Bodum glass coffee press, I decided that's it! I broke down and bought the cheapest non-breakable I could find. The thermos feature is a huge selling point. You can actually have a "warm-up" later as opposed to a lukewarm poor from the glass press. Only complaint is the FILTER. The filter allowed more grounds and detritus through. Easily fixed by replacing the new filter with the old one from the now defunct glass press. (Look closely and you can see the difference in the filter weave. The Bodum has a much better quality filter.) For the money, this is a great product. STAINLESS STEEL COFFEE PRESS, Don't confine the pleasure of pressed coffee to home. With this combination of coffee press and vacuum-insulated thermos, European-style coffee turns up at the office or campground and stays hot three times longer than coffee made in a glass press. Simply spoon in ground coffee, add boiling water, place the lid on with plunger in the up position, wait four minutes, push down the plunger slowly, and . . . Presto! Read them carefully, and arrive at your own conclusion. You might also want to give the product usefulness some more thought past the initial "wow". The Fire Wire is great! It's easy&fun to use; works exactly as described, and cooks the food wonderfully. I grill a lot, and have always used skewers (wooden&metal). This is SO much easier!!! I will be buying more to give as gifts for Father's Day. This is a great product. The food doesn't stick to it like it does with skewers. Also, it's so easy to clean up. I loved the flexibility of the wire and being able to put everything on it before I marinated. Also, being able to bend it to fit on the grill where you want it is a big plus. I first found Fire Wire skewers on another site and thought they looked great, but was a little skeptical about using the pointed end as a handle to turn the food on the grill. Then I saw the video that showed the temperature gun test on Amazon and was sold. Stainless steel does not conduct heat very well and therefore you can actually leave a few inches of the 31" long skewer hanging out off the grilling surface and it is cool enough to grab with your bare hands to turn the food. You will not believe how well these work. The other huge advantage of the Fire Wire is the stainless steel construction means the marinade will not react with skewer so you can preload them with your food and drop them into a plastic zip lock bag with your favorite marinade and they will take up very little space in the fridge or cooler. The best part about that is that you never have to handle the messy marinated meat, just pull the loaded skewer out of the bag and throw it on the grill. NO DOUBLE HANDLING!!!!!! Standard skewers at my house have been added to the garage sale pile, I will never use them again. The set of 2 that comes in the package is just enough for a meal for 2 hungry people, so if you are feeding a big group, I suggest that you buy enough to go around. One more thing, Fire Wire skewers have become my gift of choice for clients. Every single person that has seen them is going absolutely crazy over them. Steel skewers rust after only a few uses, and wooden skewers are one-time use at best. There are also difficulties in getting the contents of straight skewers turned on the grill. Fire Wire makes grilling with skewers an enjoyable experience once again. A person gets spoiled cooking with good equipment at work. It can be disappointing to go home and try to cook with standard household equipment, both in efficiency and results. I try to buy the best kitchen equipment I can afford. When I chose this fryer, I deliberated for days. When it arrived and I examined the device, I was pretty sure I had chosen wisely. The heating elements and mechanisms reminded me of a small scale restaurant quality fryer. The first time we used it, we had a fish fry for 6 people with fried pickles, onion rings, and ocean perch. Awesome! I was not disappointed. The unit worked flawlessly. The unit comes with two half baskets and a single large basket which were perfect for the different combinations of items we were frying. Our batters were fried crip, the unit maintained good temps, there was no burning, heat was evenly distributed, clean up was easy. One side note, frying in your home will make your home smell like KFC or Long John Silvers, depending on what you are frying. It will linger for days. Ice cream is ready very fast and is quite good. Bought the Ben&Jerry's book for a variety. I've really enjoyed this product. I was worried when I first purchased it over a year ago that it might a little too cheap quality-wise but figured since the price was cheap too, it was worth the risk. It certainly was worth it. I have made countles batches of fantastic ice cream without a problem yet. We've been making ice cream for 50 plus years. This is the best, by far, freezer we have ever used. Strong motor completely freezes the cream, expanding it, making it firm, making it smooth. The construction is great - no rusting parts, easy clean up. All the other freezers we used had motors that would shut off before the ice cream was totally frozen throughout - leaving middle portions runny. But not this freezer - the whole batch was totally frozen, but still smooth and creamy. You won't find a better freezer at any price. Fun for the Family! This knife is awesome.. we all love it..It's the sharpest knife in the house and works beautifully! I love it..It feels expensive. Good deal for 10 dollars! Just wish that it would have come with a sheath to enclose it. Very sharp!! However, I made a hardwood holder for it and attached it on the wall where it will be used. If it would of come with a good protective cover, I would have rated it a five. I love this knife. It is long enough to slice the breadmaker loaves. It will also slice the top off of large round cakes for decorating. Generally, I'm cutting bread made from my bread machine and this thing really does the trick. No more mangled bread. Nice long blade, well made, and extremely sharp. I've had a few other bread knives that just weren't good enough, so I was especially happy when I got this. Now the downside to the extremely sharp blade is that you can cut yourself if you aren't careful, and I have cut myself a couple of times with this. Today, for example, I reached into the knife drawer, and cut my finger in this. So be careful. WOW, I finally don't have to squish the whole loaf while I slice it. This knife is great. Cuts bread very thin, even without a bread slicer guide. Love it.
