『I have the identical twin to this mixer (KitchenAid KHMQ9WH - differs in accessories only ) and used this hand mixer rarely, as my countertop KitchenAid big mixer gets the bulk of duty. However, after less than ten light duty uses over two years this hand mixer quit working. I can hear clicking of relay, but no motor. KitchenAid's replacement deal is as much at the original cost. This is quite discouraging and the device is out of warranty - it still looks brand new. Thumbs down to this product. Move on and find a more reliable mixer.』

(Garbage, and why made in China?)
『I purchased this item brand new at the $60 price and gave it as a gift to a family member. By the time they used it, it was too late to return it. Big mistake to wait that long. The mixer started out fine and was much quieter than the cheaper hand mixer she'd been using. We thought it was a great improvement with being digital, too. Unfortunately the thing died during the first use of only mixing eggs and sugar for the start of a cookie recipe, and apparently there is no way to fix it. It's like throwing $60 in the garbage. Lesson learned-be sure to use such a product within the return frame in case you get a dud. We really thought with a name like KitchenAid, it would work fine. Certainly not broken right out of the box. She also had trouble with a Kitchenaid chopper that thankfully was able to be returned.

I should have known after reading reviews on the large stand mixers that some customers get shoddy products from this company. I read that many of the items don't last as long as they did before the brand was manufactured in China. I suspect that is the problem. Probably another case of a great company selling out to China to cut costs and save money. And we are stuck with little options of anything else to buy. Not to mention all the health hazards associated with Chinese goods. And this is what we cook with. Sickening. I wish companies would stop seeing dollar signs at the expense of their customers. Doesn't anyone have pride in their work or products anymore? It feels like everything is going downhill and money is always the reason. The older mixer still works, incidentally, and thankfully was not thrown out when this one was received. I've since purchased a large mixer made in Germany.

Seems a lot of people have good KA units but there are plenty who don't. I guess it is hit or miss--maybe they churn out some faulty units too frequently for a big name, and I was one of the unlucky ones to get one of them. It's a real shame that they charge so much for it. Since they are cutting costs by having them made more cheaply, why not lower the prices for the consumers. But that would cut into more profit. This mixer was not worth $5 at a yard sale much less $60 brand new. It's a rip off. The old cheap mixer may be noisy but it's lasted many years. I will never buy another KitchenAid product, unless maybe if they begin manufacturing them somewhere other than China but that's not likely to happen is it. It would be worth it to pay high prices if we were getting high quality.』

『I used this mixer successfully for over a year, perhaps two or three times a month. Last week, when I was mixing cookie batter, the metal "whisk" end of one of the beaters became dislodged. I tried to bend it back, but it only got worse, hitting and then breaking the other beater. There is only a one-year warranty on this appliance, so I need to buy new beaters (at least $15 at minimum) or see if a family friend can weld them back together. While I initially liked the design of the beaters, I can see now that the design lends itself to this problem. If the beaters were complete rings of metal, I think this would be much less likely to happen. I am very disappointed in this appliance for this reason.』

(It Does Exactly What I Wanted It To Do)
『This great little machine did exactly what I wanted it to do...It dehydrated my homemade lasagna for backpacking trips. Three trays of very cheesy lasagna dried in 7 hours. And, the lasagna then re-hydrated very nicely.

Having the fan/heater unit at the top works very good. However, I felt it was necessary to turn the food over on the trays and switch the top and bottom trays just once mid-way through because the top tray was drying just a bit faster than the bottom tray.

The unit runs quitely giving off a low, steady hum that is much more quiet than my microwave or a window fan. I didn't even have to adjust the TV's volume while the dehydrator was running, and we did not have to speak over the hum.

An "off" setting for the knob would be nice, but it is not difficult to just unplug the unit. Because drying times vary, I don't feel having a timer would have been helpful.

The heater/fan unit feels sturdy, and the trays are lightweight but sturdy too. I can see how they might warp during the dry cycle in a dishwasher. They handwashed and air dried just fine.

The bottom line: Feel confident purchasing this product, it does all that it claims to do at a very reasonable price.』

It comes with a booklet that contains directions for drying various fruits, vegetables, etc., as well as general guidelines for use and care of the machine. I sliced up some apples, turned it on and it was that easy! This was my very first attempt at drying and it was a success. In addition, the noise and heat output are minimal and it dried the fruit in much less time that less expensive models (so I'm told by friends). I'm looking forward to trying pears and blueberries soon.』

I'd highly recommend this kettle. especially if you're looking for an affordable solution for heating up water away from home. This saves me many trips to the community microwave at work, and lots of spill-overs!』

『This kettle is great, when you don't want to make a full pot of tea or coffee, for one person. It boils quickly, turns off automatically, stays warm for some time after it shuts off. Some have complained about the plastic smell, there is an easy fix for that.

The instructions say to boil the first pot, and discard the water. I did this twice, before brewing water for my tea. After use, leave the lid open until the next use. That smell was gone after the second cup.

This kettle has paid for itself time after time. If you don't want the hassle of big pots, the waste of coffee or tea, this little guy does the job. It's also great for hot chocolate. Well worth every penny I paid.』

『If you've been using a spatula to pry pastry off the board you've probably been tearing up as many pie crusts as you've made. If not the bottom crust, then the top, it never fails. This tool is wide enough and the blade thin enough to easily scrape up your pie dough each time and every time. It also gives you the confidence to roll thinner dough. Using the Betty Crocker two crusted pie dough recipe I was able to roll the dough thin enough that I actually had about a quarter of a cup left over. Thin pie dough is flaky tasty pie crust. They'll think you're a professional baker.』

『We needed a one cup coffee maker for our home because we were wasting pot after pot when brewing based on different schedules. I did a fair amount of research and decided that the seemingly superior mechanics combined with the outstanding coffee selection made the Keurig the better choice (versus Tassimo) although the other systems do have the ability to froth milk we thought the coffee selection was a bigger factor.
We have had the B70 for a month now and have made a hundred or so cups of coffee through it and we could not be happier!
It's a great machine that delivers an outstanding cup of coffee.
The xtra bold kcups contain 30% more coffee and if you're brewing a bug cup (travel mug) and like it on the strong side look at those selections first. The coffee people organic is hard to beat. We also love Timothy's xtra bold offerings.
A great added bonus is the ability to make tea and iced tea, we drink as much teacas coffee and the selection of kcup teas in very good. All in all this is one of my favorite purchases in many years and I plan to buy another for my office!!』

『We have owned our Keurig B70 for 21 months. It has performed like a champ. I turned my folks onto it, and theirs has worked perfectly, as well. We brew about 6-10 cups of coffee every day over the course of the day and my wife and I drink coffee at different times, so a drip coffee maker just didn't work for us. We use large mugs and get one 12oz and one 4oz brew from each k-cup, so 16oz at a time. The coffee is always piping hot, even when mixed with cold half/half or heavy cream, and depending on which k-cup brand/type the coffee can be mild to very strong even with 16oz from a single k-cup. Because we love it, we put up with the fact that ours is somewhat louder than usual and tends to vibrate more than usual. We actually have placed it on a cut to size vibration absorbing mat, since we have granite counter tops, which accentuate the vibration. Adding the mat really helped settle it down. For the first 14 months we had a lot of scale buildup and I found that, simply running white vinegar through the machine(30-60oz of vinegar/water at a time) would clean it out, I only had to do it twice and the scale never affected performance. Based on that, I would say it is very low maintenance even with bad water. I can't imagine going back to filters, grounds, and all the cleaning of a traditional coffee maker again. Some may complain that they don't like the coffee(there are some k-cups I find rather displeasing myself). I have had better cups of coffee from an espresso machine(Americano) with a skilled Barista, however, I think the coffee tastes very good and I am a little particular. There is quite a large selection available and if you shop during sales you can get the k-cups for as little as .20-.40 each or from Keurig direct for as little as .47 per k-cup at regular pricing with membership(free shipping factored in). The speed and convenience has saved us many stops at Starbucks or their ilk and no doubt our keurig has paid for itself several times over.

Also you can re-use old k-cups about5-6 times with your own grinds. Both has been explained in the older reviews and works well for people who like stronger cups!』

『I first bought a Keurig Brewer for my office. I loved it so much, I had to have one for my home also. It is perfect for a family. We don't all drink the same hot drinks. I like coffee, my teenage daughter prefers hot tea. My hubby's favorite is hot cocoa. The Keurig allows each of us to have the hot drink of our choice.

The features I like on the B70: four choices of cup size, auto off, programable on and off times, and large water reservoir. The Keurig Brewer I have at my office is a smaller version. Would I again pay extra for the B70 to get a few more bells and whistles? Probably not. I am happy with the B40 at the office. I think as long as you buy a model with a water reservoir, you will be happy. I don't think, however, you will be happy with the smallest model where you have to add water each time you brew a cup of coffee.

One disappointment we have is the way cocoa brews. It tends to come out weak. We opened a cup after it brewed and found most of the cocoa mix had not even gotten wet. My hubby brews his cocoa, then opens the cup and pours any extra powder or syrup into his cup. It's not much trouble, and he doesn't seem to mind the extra step, but I would. That is the reason I gave the machine 4 stars instead of 5. If you don't drink cocoa, consider this product a 5.

Another thing, since we are making coffe, flavored teas, and cocoa all with the same machine, we brew a cup of hot water after each use to rid the machine of any left over flavors. Only takes a minute, and it keeps the brewer fresh for the next user. We use water filtered through a Brita filter in our Keurig. It's convenient to have a pitcher of filtered water sitting nearby the coffee brewer.

I like the Keurigs so much, I plan to give several away to family and friends this Christmas!』

『Got this last year been using it everyday since. It brews very constantly and has plenty of coffee selection to keep me happy. I have 2 minor issue with the brewer. 1. when you store the unit there is no way for the water in the inner tank to be drained. 2. the quiet brew it isn't really quiet. but it is not as loud as B60 that is for sure. Had they allow the unit to be completely drain of water when storing, i would have given it 5 stars.』

『I waited a long time before buying this product. Finally, after years of using an inferior spinner, I bought this. I love it. It spins nice and comes apart easily for clean up. While it is intuitive to use, read the directions so you learn how to take it apart for cleaning. My only concern is that I can't tell if it is dishwasher safe. I am assuming it is not. But still, it is a great product.』

『The OXO Salad Spinner is fantastic!!!! My salads are now so crisp and fresh tasting. I do add a paper towel to my salad greens before spinning and this does help to dry them even more. The spinner is soooo easy to use - much better then a cheaper spinner I was previously using.

I ordered the large spinner and actually found that the smaller one would've been a better size for me. If you're considering buying this and can't decide which size to order and you will only be making salads for one or two people, I would recommend the smaller spinner. I decided to keep the larger spinner so that I would have it on hand for when I am entertaining and will be making larger salads and because I had space to store it when not in use. The large spinner IS quite big.

If you're on the fence about purchasing this spinner I would definitely recommend that you buy it. Before purchasing I had checked online the price elsewhere and no one could beat Amazon's price.』

『I bought this spinner about 6 weeks ago. The concept is sound, however the spinner construction leaves much to be desired. A plastic piece on the top of the unit by the braking button popped out after the first use and while cleaning the unit a piece of the latching mechanism broke off. None of these breakages has disabled the product, however, it doesn't bode well for long term use. Instead of paying the shipping to return this spinner I plan to use it till it functionally breaks and then go back to the tried and true of rinse in the sink and drain in the colander.』

    『This has made my cooking life so much easier! When I make large pots of broth or stock I can de-grease it two cups at a time with no hassle. Also, I always serve roasts 'au jus' from pan juices and never make gravy. Collecting pan juices in the gravy separator make de-fatting them easy, then I just 'decant' the good stuff, adjust the seasoning, serve. Use the black stopper--if you don't, a little layer of fat shows up in the spout. The fat may not bother you, but it does make the spout tougher to clean.     The spout stopper does stop liquid into the spout until you pull it out. The tall part of the cup near the spout is key when you are pouring. It is higher than the rest of the cup because liquid wants to inch up and out of the cup. The ones with an even brim will have problems with liquid pouring out of the cup from the top. So this design is good.

    For some reason, the rubber part of my handle is coming loose from the plastic handle. Its just a cover and I'll probably glue it on. Its just a cover and doesn't effect usage.』

    This garbage can was amazing at first. However, after a year of use between myself and my girlfriend, the garbage can sensor began being non-responsive. The close button stopped working properly shortly after this. I have cleaned the sensor and tried various fixes myself which work for a few hours or a day, but then the sensor malfunctions and buttons no longer work.

    This product is not designed for 100,000 uses as the amazon page states. I replaced the batteries once after a year of usage, and now the unit is completely dead.

    I will be contacting the company for a refund or replacement.

    These problems are not the only reason I rate this as 1 star. The sensor is way too sensitive (when it works) - so if you stand near it within a foot it will open up. This is obnoxious if your garbage is near your refrigerator or stove. The lid then doesn't stay open very long if you are scraping something off into the garbage somehow it now closes on you when it was so quick to open before. The batteries lasted a year for me, and I highly doubt we opened it 10,000 times - what the company claims 4 DD batteries will last. That means we opened it 27 times every day? Yeah right...』
