(Very happy with AeroPress)
(A few tips) Wow! What a discovery. I have over the years tried different grinds, beans and formulas. This is it. Eureka! I guess the secret is because you are not boiling the water there is no bitterness to the taste. The other day I couldn't get to the store to buy my favorite beans, and used a store brand grind. Didn't matter. Still a great cup of coffee. You can't miss with this one, and there are dozens of videos on line demonstrating how to use it. It so simple to use, a caveman... This funky little gadget makes an incredible cup of joe! My husband and I were given the AeroPress as a gift and we were so happy with it that we gave our standard coffee maker away. It takes a little getting used to, but once you figure it out, there is no going back. The bonus of this product is that there is no electricity needed, so we travel with it and even take it camping! We love the AeroPress and have since bought it for several of our friends. This is a great coffee maker and it is vary portable. It makes an exceptional espresso or cup of coffee. The clean up is so easy. Very simple manual press for great espresso. It does exactly what it purports to do. Plus it make excellent coffee. This truly is a great coffee maker. I have one at work and two or three at home (in case one breaks).
The manufacturer says you can reuse the filters, and you can! Oh baby. A filter lasts me 2 days to a couple of weeks. Maybe longer. The upshot is that a pack of filters will last a very long time. Eventually, the filters will get torn, and you'll have to replace.
Here's another tip. Sand down the rim of the filter holder to make it flat. I used a fine grit sandpaper on a flat surface and sanded down the rim until I saw uniform scuff marks on the whole surface. Why do you want to do this? So that the filter is held tighter and doesn't fall out when you go to throw out the grinds -- it's a real drag to dig through the trash can to get the filter back. 112644 Features: Total immersion of the grounds in the water results in rapid yet robust extraction of flavor Total immersion permits extraction at a moderate temperature, resulting in a smoother brew Air pressure shortens filtering time to 20 seconds This avoids the bitterness of long processes such as drip brewing Laboratory pH testing measured Aeropress brew's acid as less than one fifth that of regular drip brew Microfilter prevents the gritty texture of French-press methods Makes 1 to 4 cups (1 or 2 mugs) of coffee or espresso Specifications: Weight: 1 pound Dimensions: 5 x 5 x 115 inchesGlass mug not included Rerations < AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker >

(DEMASIADO BUENO.)
(Bought it as a gift....)
(best use for making jams) The food grinder attachment was easy to assemble and attach, and the instructions were clear. When run on 4, as the instructions advised, it ground quickly and evenly. I've ground beef and lamb through it with no problems. You do have to actively shove the meat down into the unit with the plunger; its design makes it very safe and easy to do so, but with the attachment mounted above the mixer it's a little awkward if you're reaching up to do this for very long. Next time I might try setting the mixer on the kitchen table to lower the overall height, but I don't think this would be a major problem unless you were very short (I'm 5'6") or had a *lot* of grinding to do. The attachment disassembles easily for an easy, thorough cleaning; the tip someone provided of running a couple of pieces of bread through at the end really does help with clean up. Overall I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this attachment, and it provides yet another reason that I would recommend the Kitchenaid mixer line as well. I bought this food grinder attachment to replace an old self contained food grinder and this is much better than my other food grinder. I mainly us it to grind my own chicken burger. It is faster, easier to clean and does a better job at grinding the fresh chicken breasts. I would recommend it to anyone with a KitchenAid stand mixer. LO UNICO QUE TENGO QUE HACER ES CONECTAR EL MOLINO DE ALIMENTOS A MI BATIDORA Y MOLER TODA CLASE DE CARNES, YO LO USO MAS QUE TODO PARA MOLER POLLO Y PAVO, DEMASIADO BUENO. I got it as a gift for a good friend of mine. She had been wanting one for a while. She seems to enjoy it. First thing she used it for was to make ground beef for chili, which was delicious. She said it worked great and had no complaints other than that it was difficult and gross to clean. But I guess I would expect this from something that grinds meat. Apparently if you use it to grind bread afterwards it gets all of the unwanted leftover flesh out of the grinder. But I guess from what she said I would consider buying one for my kitchenaid and therefore would recommend it to others. Love this attachment for making apricot jam. My daughter has one and we have been exchanging back&forth for about 5 years, I finally realized I needed one of my own. The only way to go!! Food grinder attachment for all Kitchen Aid stand mixers This tool increases the fun factor of your KitchenAid stand mixer several times over. Toss cubes of meat into the food tray, stomp 'em down, and watch the results wriggle out the front. Grind your own beef or chicken for patties or tacos. Blend your own sausage mixtures, from breakfast to boudin blanc. With additional attachments, you can turn it into a pasta maker or a sausage stuffer. It's easy to assemble and use. Most parts are dishwasher-safe; hand wash the grinding blades, wooden stomper, and cutting knife.--Betsy Danheim Rerations < KitchenAid FGA Food Grinder Attachment for Stand Mixers >

(This grill is excellent and better then the george foreman grills)
(Indoor grilling on top of the stove with the power air vent)
(Great inexpensive grill)
(This grill is a terrific bargain!) The product is pretty good. I've used it for steaks, chicken breasts, and pork chops. They all come out pretty well with the grill marks and all. I would recommend getting a cheap baking pan to use as a grill cover. It'll help with preheating and trapping the heat while grilling.
There are a few negatives however: They say that it is virtually smoke free but that is a lie. I get really tired of cleaning it. The drip pan is really flimsy and its hard to clean. I purchased this grill for 34.99 and let me say it is worth the money, the grill is quite large which makes it easier for cooking large meals and the clean up is pretty easy. The best part is that is can come part which makes cleaning a breeze something that the geroge foreman grill cannot do.I highly recommend this grill. If you don't use any stove top elements, plus oven?, then you can take advantage of the overhead stove exhaust fan to get rid of whatever fumes and smoking are produced during grilling. I'll get one today. Cannot beat the price. I just hope the warranty lasts long enough so I can grill a few hamburgers and steaks. This is a great smokeless grill. Very light weight, all most to light! Mine dropped and the handle broke off. I can still use it but hate that its damaged. It cooks hamburgers super. Grill marks and taste. I love it for a quick easy no mess dinners. I've cooked pork chops, hamburgers and steaks and its great. Spray little Pam on the grill and its cleans up great. I recommend this. I love this grill. While grilled meat may not be healthy, this grill cooks yummy BBQ meat and veggies and saves me tons of money. I recommend this grill. Grilling is healthy, grilling is delicious, and now grilling is something you can enjoy all year round. This appliance is designed to be virtually smoke free, easy to clean, easy to operate and it allows fat to drain away from your food while applying those tasty grill marks. (Good value, good results)
(Great addition to my coffee maker purchase.)
(It does what it's supposed to do.)
(Makes coffee taste awesome!) Even if your water tastes fine, I believe you'll still notice an improvement in the taste of your coffee using a fresh filter at the recommended intervals (2 months). This is one of those items you think you'll remember to replace when you purchase your coffee maker and then, three years later, realize you're still using the original filter. Amazon makes purchase of the filters easy (you cannot find them readily in retail stores), and the replacement makes a great difference in the taste of your fresly-brewed coffee. You'll need these for your Braun coffee maker. Buy them now rather than search for them later. As with most custom water filters, this one is expensive. Basically, it's the same marketing strategy as for printer cartridges. The printer is cheap; the ink will kill you. Very hard to find filters. Makes our coffee taste so much better. Delivered ahead of schedule. Thanks! A 2-pack of replacement water purifier filters for Braun all flavor select coffee machines Designed to fit all Braun FlavorSelect coffeemakers, the two water filters in this pack improve coffee flavor by filtering out chlorine and other off-tasting elements. They also slow down the calcification process. Each filter lasts for about 70 brewing cycles--or about two months.--Fred Brack Rerations < Braun Brita Patented KWF 2 Water Filter (2-Pack) >

(Can't live without it!)
(took a long time to ship)
(Good as far as I can tell.)
(Oil Spray Mister) When I first purchased a Misto sprayer, it was around $25.00 but even at less than half the price, I still wouldn't buy it again. I absolutely loved it at first but way too much effort in trying to figure out how to keep this thing working! Also, when I hadn't used it in over a month, some sort of mold was growing on the plastic tubing inside, yuck. The mold turned me off for life so now I buy a similiar product in a see through sprayer WITH the olive oil included at Marshalls, TJ Maxx or Home Goods for $4.99. I have had olive oil sprayers before. They usually clog up and then don't spritz right anymore. I purchased this one and it's been working great for over 6 months now. I only fill it up half way and I make sure to release all of the pressure after each use. I like to give it a thorough cleaning every now and then too. I can't live without an olive oil sprayer because it really helps me use less olive oil while cooking...and I for sure can't live without olive oil! ;) I like the product; it does what it's supposed to do. However, it took forever to get to me in the mail. This was a gift for my daughter-in-law so I haven't actually used it. It did have the highest rating of all those I researched, but all reviews seem to complaint that eventually the oil in the mister comes out in a stream. Hopefully, if my DIL follows the directions, that will not be a problem. Misto Gourmet Brushed Aluminum Olive Oil Sprayer I have tried 2 other brands of these sprayers and this one definitely takes the cake. The others leaked oil from the base, the sides were always oily and both of them broke. This is a very nice sprayer, the 10 pumps doesn't last very long if you're spraying a 9 x 13" pan but the performance otherwise makes it worth the exra pumping....and it looks really nice-countertop worthy! Sleek Aluminum Design, easy to use Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer by Misto. For spreading olive oil evenly on bruschetta, focaccia, and grilled or roasted vegetables, and for spraying muffin and cake pans with vegetable oil, this dispenser is a nifty tool. A plastic cap underneath the sprayer's top twists off so the sprayer can be half-filled (1/3 cup) with oil. Inside the top is a plastic tube that fits over the spray nozzle. Push the top up and down to pump air pressure into the canister. Then spray for 10 seconds and pump up again. It's simple, ingenious, and practical. With its cap on, the sprayer stands just 7-5/8 inches high, so it tucks away easily on any countertop. Made of satin-finish aluminum with a black-band accent, it's sleek as well as utilitarian.--Fred Brack Rerations < Misto Gourmet Brushed Aluminum Olive Oil Sprayer >

(Theater popcorn at home)
(Well, the popcorn is great)
(Makes the best popcorn)
(We're on our second popper) My Mom introduced me to the Whirley-Pop when I was a teenager and I have never been able to go back to microwave popcorn since. It is fun, safe for kids to help with and makes a perfectly healthy snack. I have found that adding just a touch of Agave Nectar to the oil while heating makes the popcorn taste like Kettle corn! There are a variety of ways you can "shake up" plain popcorn, but this way is my favorite. The Whirley-Pop is a inexpensive way to have a bit of fun with your kids while making a healthy treat. We purchased this Whirley-Pop as a gift for a friend after owning one of our own for probably 10 years. Hot, great-tasting popcorn in virtually the same amount of time you can make microwave popcorn. Better taste than microwave popcorn or (because of the oil) air-popped popcorn. Add salt and melted butter, or skip the butter if you're concerned about the fat. For an occasional change, grate on Parmesan cheese. Lid snaps on easily. Vents in the lid allow air to escape so popcorn does not get tough or chewy. Easy-to-turn handle moves gear on top of lid which, in turn, causes a rod to stir the popcorn as you cook it. Easy to clean. Light weight. We've used it on both electric and gas stoves. Excellent value. Simply makes the best popcorn, does it more quickly and easier than any other way I know. It is also amusing to operate.
This replaced a noisy and messy air popper and disgusting microwave devices. Give me flames and oil anytime.
People complain about the thin aluminum pan and plastic gears. Clearly, this could be better. But, that is how it comes and it doesn't hurt the function. Use the thinness to your advantage. It transfers the heat very quickly and the popping happens quickly.
Keep the heat down. Depends on the stove, but less than medium is enough. Take it off the stove when done. Don't leave it on trying to pop the last kernel. When the popping noise subsides to almost nothing, take it off the heat.
Those that complain of fires, melted gears and holes in the pan are clearly just incompetent people who should not be allowed to be near any machinery, open flames or sharp things.
You cannot put a pile of popcorn in it, turn the heat up full blast, crank it at 1000 rpms and expect it to last. A generous sprinkle of corn fills the whole thing up and when you feel some resistance, then slow down the cranking. Fast cranking accomplishes nothing. It all pops anyway.
The latches are stupid, but seem to hold well.
To remove the popped corn, just lift on the nice little wooden knob, the flap opens and the popcorn can be poured out easily and safely. Those who complained of getting burnt while doing this are bumblers.
Oh, and I have to mention the review where there was a complaint that the handle stuck out over a burner and that could cause injury. Here is a hint: don't put the handle over a burner and, if you do, don't turn it on. This works for frying pans as well.
I agree with the comments that the lid is hard to clean. Used properly, it shouldn't really get that dirty, maybe just a touch of oil mist, so that hasn't been hard to do.
So, Whirley-Pop saved, what, $1.50 in going so thin and using plastic gears? It got them a lot of negative reactions. Bad decision. Must have hired one of those illustrious business advisors that have been so successful in advancing American industry.
Still, using the proper lowish heat, not dumping in too much corn, cranking slowly and removing it from the heat when done should ensure good results for many years. It should not actually break on you. And it makes excellent popcorn and looks pretty cool as well. I would buy another. I love this popcorn popper! It is very easy to use&makes the best popcorn that I have ever made at home! From buttered popcorn to kettle corn Yumm. I'm buying them for all of my friends!!! Our first popper lasted over 10 years, and is still usable, but the gears stick a bit. We have had our new one for about 3 months, and it is just as great as the first one. It makes perfect popcorn quickly, using just inexpensive bulk popcorn, and I can't recommend it highly enough. We, too, went through various hot air poppers, and were using microwave popcorn (terrible for you) until my sister and brother-in-law gave us our first whirley popper. I was very happy to find this replacement for it when it became more difficult to use. If you are a popcorn lover, you will love this. There's more to going to the movies than seeing the movie itself - it's the popcorn! Now, with the Whirley Pop Popcorn Maker, you can make fluffy, delicious popcorn just like you get at the theater. The stay-cool hardwood handle turns the stainless steel paddle inside, preventing scorching and burning, and making certain every kernel pops up like it should. The steam vents on top allow moisture to escape so the popcorn is always light and tender. Much quicker than microwaving, the popper makes up to 6 quarts and comes with a 25 year warranty. Also included with the popper is 1 popcorn packets (each one making up to 6 quarts) and "secret ingredient" flavoring packets that give the popcorn that movie-popcorn taste. The popper also comes with a recipe book for more popcorn flavor ideas.Pan is made of aluminum and the lid is made of stainless steel and aluminum. Face it, sometimes the best thing about going out to a movie is the popcorn, those big plump kernels that always seem so much better than what you pop at home. But this simple stovetop popper changes all that. It really does make awesome, fresh-popped corn that might make you start renting videos instead. The sturdy aluminum pan has a clip-on lid with a stay-cool wooden handle. A turn crank on the handle spins the key element: the stainless steel stirring system that keeps the corn moving across the bottom of the pan, for even heat and oil distribution, ensuring the best popping results. The lid has steam vents, to help keep the popcorn dry and crisp. The enclosed booklet is a wonderful resource, with not only clear and detailed instructions, but also dozens of recipes and popcorn history and lore. These are folks who really do know their popcorn, and the results are outstanding.--Cynthia Nims Rerations < Whirley-Pop Stovetop Popcorn Popper >
