(great insulation) I love this thermos. It keeps my water cold for over 24 hours. This is the second one I bought -- I lost the first one. My only complaint is that the first one I bought had a netting carrier which enabled me to carry it over my shoulder. For some reason, the second time I bought it, the netting carrier was not available so now I have to carry it by hand or put it in my briefcase. Fills its purpose just about perfectly: - Keeps the coffee hot all day long - Easy to clean - Has a cap/spout that twists open and closed, so it won't break like the ones with pop-up valves - Slim enough to fit on my brief case and still hold over a pint and a half of coffee. I ordered a bunch and gave most out as gifts. To keep liquids very hot for a long time you need to follow the directions and preheat with hot tap water. If you do this, you will be amazed! Fun size and shape, and apparantly advanced technology for keeping heat inside. You can also use for cold drinks. Clean up is not difficult either - hand wash. I keep it on my desk because I don't like the coffee at work. Keeps it hot all day. The other day, I forgot to empty it out and 24 hrs. later, when I went to pour out the coffee, it was still pretty warm. Pretty good considering I had opened a couple of times the previous day. first off it's a little big to be carrying casually around but not so big that it's a real hassle. My mom worries about water spots but if you wipe it dry it's no problem. I've used mine for hot drinks and cold. It kept iced coffee cold all morning and afternoon. I didn't try to keep it around any longer. I know it keeps hot water hot all night because I have to go to school really early and it's freezing where I live. So I tried to keep some hot water around so I don't have to boil water in the morning for my instant oatmeal. It worked great. Another time I had green tea with my dinner and this was around 6:30 or 7pm. I couldn't finish it all by bed time so I had about a cupful left (6 oz or so). I decided what the heck, i'll see if it's still good in the morning. I woke up a little before 7am and it was the perfect temperature! It was still hot but not steaming hot. It's the temperature where your drink has cool down enough to gulp it down instead of taking tiny sips. It's really easy to keep clean. Best way is to wash it right after you're done. One time I didn't wash it til a day later. I stuck a scrub in there and used a chopstick to move it up and down the side. I rinsed with hot water. (Good, but. . .) I'm quickly becoming a huge fan of Oxo products, and I'm starting to wish I were starting from a blank slate. Unfortunately, I have a lot of old, useless gadgets that will have to wear out before I replace them with Oxo. This set of tongs makes so much sense. The plastic areas both keep the tongs cool while you hold them and protects non-stick pans. Oxo Good Grips 9-Inch Locking Tongs with Nylon Heads The tongs are really sturdy and the nylon heads don't destroy your teflon as metal ones tend to. They also stand up to a lot of heat so they don't melt. This kitchen tool is what I really needed for the few non-stick pans that I use (other than my cast iron skillets). The nylon scalloped tips are perfect for all the items that I cook in teflon or silverstone pans. Other reviewers complain that nylon cannot take high heat, but then, most non-stick pans can't either. Silicone tips could take the heat, but they are not nearly as sturdy. I would find it very difficult to pick up large items with something as soft as silicone. What I like best about this too is the fact that it locks closed, which makes it easy to store in a drawer. I have to keep most of my other tongs hanging half out of a utensil crock. These OXO tongs have a great grip (maybe it's the nylon tips). The length is perfect. I like them far better than a pair of 12" metal All Clad tongs that I own. These tongs work pretty well. I liked the nylon tips for use on nonstick cookware. However, I think the nylon tips are too thick, making it hard to pick up pork chops or anything else using just the tongs in one hand. This is a little disappointing. I think I will try the thinner tipped silicone tongs next. Otherwise I've been very impressed with OXO products. These tongs are handy for flipping a chicken breast, for turning shrimp in the pan, pulling an open-faced tuna melt sandwich out from under the broiler and so on. Thanks to their nylon ends they can be safely used with non-stick cookware! Not only do these 9-inch tongs cushion hands and provide thumb rests, which are useful when gripping heavy objects, but the nylon heads won’t scratch nonstick cookware. Doubling as a hang loop, a tab on the bottom pulls out to lock the stainless-steel tongs shut, allowing them to slip easily into a drawer. Heavy weight, hard anodized aluminum make this a durable, saucepan that will last in your kitchen regardless of whether you're a novice at cooking or have cooked for a while. The saucepan heats evenly, is a cinch to clean, and has a large base for quick heating. Nice small saucepan, easy to clean. As my children growing bigger and eat more, I have to buy the bigger one. First of all, I LOVE, LOVE this pan. Food does not stick and it has a good seal. The only thing I do NOT like about it is the handle. It's edges are not rounded enough and it is too slim to get a good hold on. The handle should be a little shorter and fatter. But I still would not trade it for anything else. I am going to buy a silicone sleeve for it for it to be easier to handle. The pan is great. It arrived at my home in time and I am happy with the purchase! Thank you! For 30 dollars I am very pleased with this purchase. As have been mentioned, it is a little low in height, but its volume is it's volume and it can be deceptive. But the quality of the pot is wonderful. It's heavy, and it's aluminum which Alton Brown tells me is not as good as copper but better than stainless steel. After a couple days of cooking with it I've found it really absorbs heat and seems to get hotter and maintain heat better than either of my other pots. (Very well pleased) (Christmas Presents) I purchased this pan about four years ago, and last week had to send it back (for the second time) to get it replaced due to the teflon non-stick surface degrading and peeling. Customer service is excellent. The first pan was replaced quickly free of charge. I only had to pay for shipping back to them which ended up costing about half the cost of a new pan. High heat is the cause of the teflon degrading. One must be very careful not to exposing the pan to the highest heat level on electric or gas oven and never leave unattended for long periods of time. Having said that, I really love this pan and use it every day, usually twice a day. I use it to make perfect three egg omelets in the morning and sometimes fry up a turkey burger during the day. When the non-stick surface is intact, it is a joy to use and clean, requiring only a wipe with a damp sponge. I recommend this pan with the caveat to avoid high heat, which is rarely necessary as this pan conducts heat very well. I have bought and thrown out at least three frogs before kissing this prince of a crepe pan - I'd been searching for it all my life! It is the perfect size for my needs, beautifully heavy, heats evenly, and absolutely nonstick. And at $24.99 on sale, I'm thinking of getting another, to double production on a school morning (I make the batter the night before in the blender, then stick it in the fridge overnight). Also the perfect size for a single grilled cheese sandwich. I have had this pan for over 2 years&it is used at least 5 times a week to make crepes, fried eggs, omletes, grilled cheese, ect, ect ect and it still looks brand new! The pan is the perfect size for crepes&3 egg omletes, not to small at all! We always allow the pan to cool and hand wash it, you should not put these in the dishwasher. That way you can rinse it out and put in dishwaher instead of cleaning it so much. We went back to the paper ones. Wanna buy mine! This is a very sturdy, easy to clean basket. A great addition to your coffee maker. Hope it will last long enough to make it a better choice environmentally than paper. It's nice not to worry about running out of paper filters, but now I spend some extra time&water every day to rinse this one out. I had lost this Gold Tone Filter that I had purchased for my Cuisinart 1200 and was using the coffee maker with only the #4 paper filters.
