(Great Accessory to your KitchenAid)
(Food Grinder)
(A great tool to grind your own meat.) Not too surprising that this meat grinder is quite good at grinding meat. Turkey, chicken, pork, beef - send big hunks in the top, and ground product comes out the front.
High scores, though, because there's very little wastage left in the throat of the grinder, it feeds cleanly, and it's easy to take care of. It's a little plasticky, so I wonder about durability, but Kitchen Aid had a tendency of building their stuff like tanks, so I am hopeful.
WAY better than buying a separate, purpose-built grinder. Unless you're going to do like a whole cow or a pig or something. Excellent product. Now I can grind beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb...whatever, whenever I want... fresh. Definitely love it. Fast shipping. Thanks. This is a great addition to your KichenAid tool. I wanted to learn how to make sausages and with this attachment it made everything super simple. It's easy as snap on and start using it. My first couple of batches was pretty bad but with my new attachment...I can try to perfect my receipt anytime. Have fun..... I am very pleased with this product. It is easy to use and clean. I would recommend this product to others. We did research beforehand and had some concern with a few comments about the product clogging up when grinding pork, since we use a lot of ground pork in various dishes. The reality though is that it works just fine, and allows us to avoid the commercially ground pork, which always contains a lot of added fat. Bottom line is that this is a winner for anyone wanting to grind their own meat. Grinds meat, firm vegetables and fruits, and dried breadComplete with coarse and fine grinding platesWrench and sturdy hard-wood stomperUse with all standard mixersMade in USA This food grinding attachment fits unto your Kitchen Aid mixer and makes the job a lot easier! Grind meat&vegtables among other foods to put into delicious meals. This tool increases the fun factor of your KitchenAid stand mixer several times over. Toss cubes of meat into the food tray, stomp 'em down, and watch the results wriggle out the front. Grind your own beef or chicken for patties or tacos. Blend your own sausage mixtures, from breakfast to boudin blanc. With additional attachments, you can turn it into a pasta maker or a sausage stuffer. It's easy to assemble and use. Most parts are dishwasher-safe; hand wash the grinding blades, wooden stomper, and cutting knife.--Betsy Danheim Rerations < KitchenAid FGA Food Grinder Attachment for Stand Mixers >

(Does the job)
(PROPANE TANK GUAGE)
(Great concept, poor execution) You'll have to put me into the category of those who didn't get an accurate reading.
I had no trouble installing it and it worked great for checking for leaks. The problem is that it went from being well into the green "gas" range after 15 minutes of grilling to being completely empty instantly. It wasn't until the flame went out that the gauge hit anything below the green "gas" level of the gauge.
I have been using the gauge for some weeks and check it regularly during grilling to monitor the gas level hoping to get ample warning about low propane before it became a critical situation. Needless to say, I didn't get any warning at all.
Bottom line - I ran out of propane in the middle of barbecuing for company. Definitely not worth the money.
This really helps you to not run out of propane during a BBQ event that would mean disaster for cooking things like tenderloins. Had used a similar product I got from a home shopping channel which would go from full to empty in seconds leaving me with a cold grill. This works just as advertised. I would recommend it. Simple to install, but tends to leak for awhile upon initial installation. Guage works fairly well. This would be an outstanding, 5-star product...if it worked properly. First of all, had to wonder at some of the other 1-star reviews where people said the gauge read empty even though the tank was full. Did they catch that part of the directions that tells you to push the gauge face down several times to activate the gauge? It's not intuitive at all but follow the instructions or it won't work.
The first time we bought one of these it worked well until it broke late in the summer. So why'd we buy another one? We figured it was our mistake since the grill was accidentally left out in the rain and the product info mentions the importance of not letting rainwater get into the gauge.
Just tried the new gauge out yesterday and it indicated a gas leak. Broke out the spray bottle and soapy water and quickly found the leak - it was this valve! It was screwed on tight, took it off and reattached it, checked again, still leaking just behind the black piece that screws onto the propane tank.
At least we'll get a refund on this one, but I'm done with this product. GasWatch¿ model TVL 212, UL approved propane level indicator and safety gauge that is integrated with an easy to see and easy to read colored dial. With built-in features like leak detector and emergency flow-limiter, GasWatch¿ 212 is great for use with all types of BBQ Gas Grills and all other Outdoor Propane Appliances having QCC Type I connection. ¿Easy To Connect, Easy To Read, No Tools Required¿, TVL 212 connects between propane tank and the equipment regulator. Ideal for use with BBQ Gas Grills, Patio Heaters, Smokers, Turkey Fryers, Camping Stoves, Cookers, RVs, Boats and all Outdoor Propane Appliances. (Not Made in Germany)
(Sturdy knife sharpener)
(Works as claimed)
(Works surprisingly well for such an inexpensive product) Years ago, I had and lost a small handheld sharpener that worked like a dream on knives and scissors. Having no luck finding a replacement, I ordered this one a month ago. The Wusthof works as well as my old one. I should have known. I have a Wusthof kitchen cutlery set that is 20 years old, and maybe one or two knives are finally in need of sharpening. It's Made in China. I was under the impression that it's made in Germany given the Wusthof brand. If I had known it's Made in China, I would have considered other products. It does work well though. This sharpener holds us to repeated use. I have bought other sharpeners and they fall apart. Give the knife a great edge. So simple that anyone can use it properly. Your kitchen knives will cut like new (or better). I was somewhat skeptical that a $20 product could do a decent job on some dull knieves, though obviously the spate of positive reviews here encouraged me to go ahead with the purchase. I've used it on three different Henkel/Wusthof Santoku knives of different quality (from super-cheap to top of line) and a top of line Henkel chef's knife. All were noticeably sharper after using this product. In fact, this did a better job than the housewares store in my neighborhood which offers "professional" sharpening. This Wusthof Ceramic 3 stage sharpening hone can easily bring those dull knives back to cutting form. The first stage is a course stage for cutting the new edge the next stage uses a fine ceramic to hone the knife to a keen edge. The 3rd stage allows you to sharpen your kitchen shears. (Love Them)
(Rubbermaid Easy Find Food Storage Containers will Change My Life!)
(Good enough)
(Love em...) containers are fine, but the actual sizes are not what I wanted. They are actually a bit wider than I would have imagined, so they won't fit into the cooler my husband uses to take his lunch to work in, so if I use any of these containers, he has to switch to a soft side cooler. These are great. They close tight and keep food fresh longer then any other product for the price. You do get 2 very small ones which are not good for anything but for spices and herbs and taking along some condiments for a picnic or lunch. I plan on buying more of them. I just received these Rubbermaid Easy Find Food Storage Containers, and even before I opened the box, I just knew my life would be forever changed. No more shall I labor for hours trying to fit a square lid on a round container... and better yet... No more shall I labor for hours trying to fit a round lid on a square container!! Now, the hours I have saved will allow me to corral last month's broccoli surprise, which has taken over the bottom shelf of the ol' Frigidaire.
Did I mention that these phenomenal food storage containers by Rubbermaid are devoid of the chemical BPA, which could turn my future progeny into gilled, hermaphroditic mutants? (Hmmmm... on second thought, maybe better than the ones I have now...)
The Rubbermaid Easy Find Food Storage Containers are color-coded too! If you want to seal your food away until it anaerobically decomposes, you just attach a red piece to a clear piece, and there you have it!
These Rubbermaid Easy Find Food Storage Containers are also not made in China by minimum-wage unskilled laborers... they are made in the good ol' USA by minimum wage unskilled laborers. So, they are not only good for your food, they are good for what is left of the American industrial sector.
According to the box, Rubbermaid Easy Find Food Storage Containers can be used in the freezer, the dishwasher, and in the microwave. Why you would want to store food in your dishwasher or microwave is beyond me, but to each his own. The box doesn't say not to put it in the oven or over an open flame, and has absolutely nothing to say about storage of volatile explosives, so my future experiments may be leading me to a huge cash settlement.
Anyway, I hope that your Rubbermaid Easy Find Food Storage Containers make you as deliriously ecstatic as mine have made me. I bought both a 24 and 36 piece set of these. I would call them "good enough", but certainly not better than the stain shield containers (also by Rubbermaid, similar to the newer premier line) they replaced. I switched to these only because they are BPA free. I've marked up quite a few of these by microwaving food in them at work (not the end of the world). Also the lids are much harder to push on then the stain shield system. I also liked the clear containers better (these are opaque). But in the end these were the best BPA free containers I could find, and they are a great deal at this price. Great stuff, very durable and lids go on very tightly. No complaints and no regrets. The Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids 24 piece set includes (2) 0.5 cup Easy Find Lid Containers (2) 1.25 cup Easy Find Lid containers (2) 2.0 cup Easy Find Lid containers (2) 3.0 cup Easy Find Lid containers (2) 5.0 cup Easy Find Lid Containers and (2) 7.0 cup Easy Find Lid containers. The number one unmet need for food storage is container and lid organization. With Rubbermaid's new Easy Find Lids you'll find storage and organization a breeze! The Easy Find Lids snap together as well as snap to the bases for easy storage. The Easy Find Lids and bases also nest together making storage in a cabinet or a drawer much more efficient. Easy Find Lids are square in shape and allow for easy of stacking when placed on shelves or in the refrigerator. Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids also feature a super clarified base which takes the guessing out of what's inside and allows you to see what's inside quickly and easily. Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids and bases are also microwave, freezer, and dishwasher safe. Rerations < Rubbermaid 7J98 Easy Find Lid 24-Piece Food Storage Containers >

(Waste of money - worst ever ast iron)
(best ever)
(Back to basics cookware)
(Good Skillet) I've had this pan about a month now and couldn't be happier with it. Great for frying, searing, and slow cooking over the stove top. Used skillet out of the box and have had no problems with rust, sticking, or cleaning. Just make sure the skillet is preheated well (I wait till the handle holds a fairly high heat) and use a little oil/cooking spray before and after use. I found some other tips on the Lodge website and find the care to be rather simple. I would also recommend a heavy duty oven mit to use, especially when using at high heat or in the oven. This skillet is an American made product that will last me a lifetime and at this price you can't get any more bang for your buck. I've had cast iron, and kept it in good condition for years. I decided to replace my regular pans with cast iron recently and went with Lodge because it was cheaper than what I've bought in the past-since I was getting multiple pans, I didn't want to buy top of the line, just too much money. Instead I threw all that money away. Bottom line is no matter what you do, all food sticks to Lodge like no other cast iron I've used. When you soak it in warm water for an hour to try and get the food to unstick, you come back and the water and pan are rusty. ONLY ONE HOUR!!!!!!! I was more careful with the second pan, soaked for 30 minutes. The water was not rusty but when I was wiping it out with a dry towel, orange rust color covered my towel. I could not see the rust w/o looking really close under bright light but every time I touched it with something white, it came off orange. Three skillets and two lids - all the same problem. My wife and I couldn't be happier with this skillet. We've got a set of copper pans (which we only use during fancy dinners when we're preparing food with company over) and they dont do any better a job than this skillet. Dont use soap to clean the skillet (it breaks down the seasoning), rather let it cool down to a handle-able temperature after use, run hot water over it while you scrub it with a brush, then heat it back up to 'medium' on the stove, add a little bit of olive or vegetable oil. spread it over the surface and let it cool down. wipe up the excess with a paper towel and you'll continue to have a perfectly seasoned pan for a very very long time. Although it comes pre-seasoned, it's wise to cook a few rounds of bacon on it before you attempt to make pancakes or eggs on this. To clean, never EVER use soap, just boil a pot of water and swish a stiff brush (non-metallic) around to get rid of grit. Throw the dirty water away, then put it on low heat until all the remaining water evaporates. If you're anal about sanitation and hygiene, you can swish some salty, hot water to get rid of food gunk.
Every two or three months, remember to cook bacon in it (you don't have to eat it! Just buy some cheap bacon and let it heat in the pan over medium-high heat, rub all over the sides and bottom with the lard) and this pan will outlast your great grand children.
The reason I'm giving this four stars is that it is really heavy for tiny people and if you're trying to pour something into a plate, you have to use both hands - and remember the pot holder!
I'm happy with my skillet. Things haven't been sticking much and it's all metal, so I can make Dutch Babies in the oven. Seasoned, ready to use. This skillet is a kitchen's most essential item. The even heating of cast iron is necessary for golden, tender, perfectly pan-fried chicken. What other cookware can rival the heat retention, versatility, value and durability of cast iron.. 10-1/4 inch diameter. The American-based company Lodge has been fine-tuning its construction of rugged, cast-iron cookware for more than a century. No other metal is as long-lasting and works as well for spreading and retaining heat evenly during cooking. Lodge's Logic line of cookware comes factory pre-seasoned with the company's vegetable oil formula, and is ready to use right out of the box. After cooking, simply scrub the cast iron with a stiff brush and hot water, no soap, and dry immediately.Breakfast in particular somehow tastes extra hearty when cooked in a heavy cast-iron skillet. Cast iron loves a campfire, a stovetop, or an oven, and can slow-cook foods without scorching and sear meat at higher temperatures. A good all-purpose size at 10-1/4 inches in diameter and 2 inches deep, this skillet can fry up eggs, pancakes, steaks, chicken, hamburgers, and can bake desserts and casseroles as well. A helper handle aids in lifting, and the looped primary handle allows hanging. Two side spouts pour off grease or juice. Even though the pan comes pre-seasoned, applying a little vegetable oil before use helps prevent food from sticking. Whether used in a kitchen or camp, this virtually indestructible pan should last for generations and is covered by a lifetime warranty.--Ann Bieri Rerations < Lodge Logic 10-1/4-Inch Pre-Seasoned Skillet >

(Great Waffle Maker)
(Piece of crap)
(Very good for larger groups)
(use it all the time) While I can't vouch for this exact version, ours from the mid-80s (with slightly different handles, a smaller temp knob and a smaller "Ready" light) still gets plenty of use and works just as well now as it did new out of the box. It's a simple design that does what needs to be done. I especially like the two-sided plates, which make it a breeze to clean. The only thing it doesn't have is an overflow channel. I had another, but it got broken, so I searched for an exact replacement, I like it that much. Have only used waffle maker, but it's great! If I was Amazon.com I would be embarrassed to offer this piece of crap. Cheap looking, thin, flimsy, you get the picture. The review options would not accept zero stars so I had to put 1 star. Many of the other waffle makers and grills only make 2 waffles or sandwiches, and this makes 4, so for a larger group this is great. And if you upkeep the surfaces so they stay non-stick, it will last a while. As with any grill, beware not to use too much cheese or else it will ooze out and be a pain to clean. We love this product and we use it all the time (3 or 4 times a week)to make waffles, quesadillas, and sandwiches. I even used it to grill onions. It is by far the most used small appliance (after the microwave) in our kitchen. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the outside gets so hot. I've warned my children to NEVER touch it-plugged or unplugged. Even so, my 3 year old touched it last night and has a small blister on his finger. I don't think he's going to do that again. The Black&Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle Baker produces four 4.5-inch square waffles at a time, making it a good choice for families. The waffles are somewhat thinner than Belgian-type waffles but there's no compromise on taste - perhaps, though, a few less calories and carbs (based on your recipe). It's reasonably priced and great for making a special, unique weekend meal for you and your partners in life. A waffle baker, grill, and griddle, this three-in-one appliance comes in handy during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and after school. Key to the unit's versatility are two 8-inch-square cooking plates--one set into the product's bottom and the other into the hinged top. On one side the plates form grids for making four waffles at once. Flipped over to show their flat sides they're capable of top and bottom grilling a sandwich or steak. To create griddle space, the top opens up flat, forming two 8-inch-square cooking surfaces for all foods that love a griddle--such as pancakes, hash browns, and eggs. Channels send grease to spouts in the griddles' corners, where it drains away. Nonstick to release food easily and wipe clean, the cooking plates also can be removed for scrubbing. A heat control offers high, low, and medium temperatures. With its chrome housing and stay-cool black synthetic handles, this 900-watt appliance looks great on the counter. Afterward, the cord wraps around the hinge, plus you can stand the unit upright for compact storage. It measures 11-1/4 inches wide, 5 inches high, and 11-3/4 inches deep and carries a one-year warranty against defects.--Fred Brack Rerations < Black&Decker G48TD Grill and Waffle Baker >

Over the years though, the non-stick started wearing out and chipping. (didn't put them in the dishwasher, didn't use metal utensils). Also, don't use spray-oil like PAM as it leaves a film on the pan that is nearly impossible to wash off. I'm planning on buying another set, this time around i'll make sure to use a pump-spray bottle with oil like the instructions say. I have bought so many frying pans that claim to be the last pan I'll ever need to buy, but this time I think I have really found it! These pans are so easy to clean and they cook evenly. Love the size and weight of them. Nothing ever sticks. I am careful not to use metal utensils with them. I love how I can brown in them and put them in the oven. I made a delicious pork roast browned on the stove top. Put baby carrots on the side and roasted them and the pork together in the oven. Turned out wonderful! This combo pack is a great bargain because you will literally use it everyday. I have tops for both of them from other parts of my Calphalon collection. The larger one I use to fry chicken and saute meat all the time. All I do is cover and fry away. I also do a great egg plant, squash, red and green pepper veggie stir fry. There is never an issue regarding the heating quality, cleaning, or overall care. The 10" one I use to fry my eggs or smaller meals. The ONLY limiting issue that may be of concern is multi tasking with these pots without the top. If you can switch another Calphalon cover to either of these then the sky is the limit. Good Eating. Product as expected and of quality expected from Calphalon. Only wish there was some standard nameing so i could easly match pots with other i own. A non-stick skillet is a kitchen workhorse. For today's home cooks, the skillet may serve its traditional role of frying and sauteing, but in addition, for the cook in a hurry, a follower of Jaques Pepin and Rachael Ray, the skillet may replace a pot when there are liquids to be reduced, since the wider top offers more room for evaporation. While a traditional skillet may be prefered for developing a fond, the carmelized bits of food that add flavor to a dish, many of us would sacrifice a bit of flavor for an easy clean-up. While non-stick skillets won't make a good pan sauce, they have an edge when it comes to cooking delicate foods such as eggs, or thin fish. Every cook whose aspirations go beyond microwaving a frozen dinner should have a competent 12" non-stick skillet.
That said, non-stick surfaces have a limited life, and so it's wisest to watch the price. The bargain price for these two pans is an attraction, although, while the box says it's a limited time offer, I've seen this deal at the same price for some time now. Beyond that, when Cook's Illustrated rated inexpensive non-stick skillets, their top rated 12" skillet was about $33 -- not enough to break the deal.
That said, the two skillets for around $50 is a good value. While a 10" skillet may be less versatile than a 12", it may be a good idea to have one around if you have a small kitchen, or a smallish stovetop, and no way of fitting two large pans side by side. The sloping sides of this set, aside from having a modern look, are an aid in removing food neatly, and are a real boon for those trying to learn how to make a neat omlette. Durability seems good, and while heat distribution isn't perfect, it seems to be on a par with similar pans I've used. The handles stay cool over long cooking time, and the non-stick coating generally cleans easily. In sum, these are good everyday pans at a favorable, but not dramatically inexpensive price. If you're shopping for skillets in this general price range, the two-fer deal should rate a place on the short list, but there's no real wow factor. The price is good for the two pans together, but if you're unlikely to use them together, you may be better off with a marginally more expensive skillet at a lower net cost. The 10 Inch and 12 Inch Omelettes are a perfect addition to every home. Two of the most used pans in any well-equipped kitchen. Omelettes have sloped sides so that foods slide out easily. Used for cooking omelets, pancakes, quesadillas, sautéing vegetables, searing steaks, fish and poultry. The nonstick surface make clean up effortless. Brushed stainless steel stay cool handles. Pans are oven safe up to 450 F. Rerations < Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 10-Inch&12-Inch Omelet Combo Pack >

(LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(Hamilton Beach 33967 Slow Cooker)
(Welcome to the "Digital Age") This slow cooker is great. The built-in probe and cook-to-temperature capability is quite possibly the best feature ever added to this style of cooking.
It seems to run a bit hotter than other slow cookers that I have used (about 177° on low), so reducing the cooking time of recipes that cannot rely on the probe may be advisable.
As a test, I cooked the same pork roast recipe twice -- once following the recommended cooking time, and the second time using the probe and programming the cooker to stop at 145°. The first try turned out alright, but a bit overcooked and dry. The second attempt yielded a perfectly cooked, moist roast, in much less time.
Some other points (good and bad):
* It is quite large, and will probably handle just about any recipe you care to throw into it.
* For the size, the ceramic insert is surprisingly light, making cleanup a little easier, but the size also works against it if you have a small or shallow sink.
* The lid is somewhat smaller than the corresponding inner edge of the ceramic insert, and closer to the size of the content area of the insert. Aligning it to achieve a good seal can be a little annoying, but it's not that big of an issue. The silicone seal around the edge of the lid is a nice addition. The handle on the lid is poorly designed, and is difficult to clean around. Although my instruction book does not show it, the handle appears to be designed to hold the ladle that comes with the cooker (by pressing the ladle downward, until it locks into place).
* The handles are big, and add about 4" to an already wide appliance. I would have liked some way to fold them down.
It has a few small deficiencies, but overall, this is an excellent value. This is a great slow cooker. Works wonderfully and is easy to program and clean. The only issue I've had with it is that there are no handles on the insert, which makes it difficult to remove when hot. Otherwise, it's great! Hamilton Beach 33967 Set 'n Forget 6-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker EASY TO USE, CLEAN&COOK WITH> I've owned the All Clad slow cooker and the Rival Crock Pot. The All Clad's computer circuit went out after one year. The Rival Crock Pot always cooked too hot, even on the warm cycle. The Hamilton Beach is the best I've had and is reasonably priced at about $50+. The All Clad cost me over $150 for one year of use. The Hamilton Beach seems to cook everything just fine. The lid, which is held down by clips on each side, eliminates any evaporation. The reviewers who said that their food was not cooked probably did not set the program correctly. It does require a few more steps than other brands. You must read the instructions before you begin cooking. Otherwise, you may miss a step. For the price, size, convenience I highly recommend this slow cooker. Right now, I've used it twice; so we're in the 'shake-down cruise stage' of getting to know each other and not yet at the point to see if some of the other product reviewers are accurate about when it stops working. Other than that, I've very happy with its appearance, design and features. This is my 4th crockpot/slow cooker in some 30 years; the first a Regal Mardi Gras Pot O' Plenty (which I quickly got rid of because it never 'slow cooked'); my trusty, reliable Rival 5 qt. Crock Pot (we did a lot of fine cookin' together, then a Rival 3.5 qt. Crock Pot (to accommodate RV living and smaller space to stow an appliance and less fridge-freezer space for left-overs). Well, the 3.5 kept over-flowing and so it was time to re-invent the wheel. I'm not disappointed with my decision to up-grade to 6 qts; although I 'thought' the model I selected had a 'hinged lid' which would have been a convenience given space limitations. It doesn't. The other thing is the removable insert. It doesn't look very 'clay or crock-like' and is black; yes, matching its steel-gray exterior. My concern is -- and I hope I'm wrong -- that while made in Taiwan, the paint or whatever is used to create the black color, isn't something we're going to read about as a health hazard some day. About the unit itself; I've made two items; a brisket using the thermal probe and the other, German Short Ribs experimenting with 'programming'. The brisket turned to its pre-set internal temperature in about 4 hours or less and held at "warm" approximately another 8 hours until it was time for dinner. The meat was this side of rare and a real disappointment. One of two things may have happened: (1) the slab of brisket was too thin to work with a thermal probe or 2) the probe doesn't work properly. Regardless, I'll continue to experiment and we'll soon learn which is which. The thin metal construction of the probe itself and its 'wire connection' to the appliance, is kind-of 'thin and flimsy' compared to the thermal probe with my mid-1980's JC Penny's combo microwave-convection oven. The second item prepared was my favorite German Short Ribs and they were dee-licious! The recipe suggested 6-8 hours and while I violated the basic rule of slow cooking -- fill no more than 1/2-2/3 to the top with some 5 lbs of beef short ribs -- I set it for 7 hours and then, it held nicely at "warm" the few hours later at dinner time. And here's my biggest gripe: "When was the last time you purchased a product without an accessory guide?" Well, this will be the one. The Rival 5 qt or the 3.5 had a little booklet for convenient inserts, like a "meat rack" to keep things off the base and from sitting in the juices or a carrying case or a dust cover and those things just isn't available with the Hamilton Beach. So, I've got to find an appropriate trivet and something to keep the campground dust off it when on an open shelf. But good news and bad news: The 'good news' is that sent an e-mail to customer service inquiring about an accessory guide and they responded faster than a microwave cooks fish and said they'd mail one to me. The 'bad news' is that when it arrived, it wasn't an accessory guide, rather a photocopy off the Internet of some of the recipes for it. Wellll...another e-mail exchange and I learned they simply don't have an accessory guide. Come-on Hamilton Beach -- let's get some business savvy here. It would have received a preliminary "5 Stars" but for the issue with the thermal probe, that it didn't have the 'hinged lid' I though was the items I 'clicked-on' and NO accessory guide. Kudos, however, to the quick response by Customer Service at Hamilton Beach! Family Size 6 quart oval Programmable slow cooker with flat panel digital read-out and stainless steel base for easy storage and clean-up, plus separate temperature probe for large cuts of meat. No more over cooked or under cooked beef or poultry as the probe reads the internal temperature as it cooks and automatically switches to keep warm once set temperature is reached . Operates in three different cook settings including manual cook mode. Easy to read LED digital control panel and timer for setting preferred cooking time. Other features include a clip-on spoon and a clip-tight gasket lid. Rerations < Hamilton Beach 33967 Set 'n Forget 6-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker >

(Fantastic)
(Versatile, Easy to Use and Easy to Clean)
(The best panini press)
(Great griddler for 2!) This is a good product and does exactly what it claims. I like it because the "plates" are adjustable, thereby allowing any thickness of sandwich/panini to be made. The only things I don't like are that the plates don't come off for easier cleaning, and that there is no on/off switch - the device is on when plugged in, and must be unplugged to turn it off. However, I knew the plates were not removable when I ordered this, so I'm not disappointed - I chose the ability to cook various thicknesses of sandwiches over removable plates. Just something good to consider when buying this. You can spray the plates with a non-stick spray and it works fine - no sticking or burning of the sandwiches. This is great if you are being health conscious and don't want to use a lot of butter, etc. This is a perfect product. I use it almost everyday. Can't say enough good things about it. I got this just for the purposes of making sandwhiches, since I'm living in military quarters and we don't have much space for cooking equipment. It works fast, cooks things just right and is extremely easy to clean up. It also cooks bacon pretty well, which is a great plus. It can fit on big and small sandwhiches without an issue. Great for making a warm meal or snack for people with very little space and equipment available to them. I have tried several panini presses and this is the best one from far, just perfect size, top quality material, great sandwiches, easy to clean and to store: Just perfect! We've had this griddler for 3 months, and it is so easy to clean and store that we use it more than I would have thought. We have made sweet breakfast bagels, savoury grilled sandwiches, quesadillas, etc. The grill seemed very small at first, but it is the perfect size for a couple. I was concerned about the lack of temperature dial but haven't missed it once, the griddler gets hot in a few minutes and cooks very evenly. It produces perfectly grilled paninis in 3-5 minutes. I bought this product online without seeing it, and the build quality is much better than any model I have seen in stores. The griddler comes with a plastic scraper to remove baked-on cheese, but so far a damp cloth has been sufficient to clean it. Its stainless top is also very easy to clean, there again a damp cloth usually does the trick. The Cuisinart Griddler Panini&Sandwich Press makes everything from popular panini to great grilled cheese. Designed like professional units, our floating hinge adjusts to sandwich thickness to perfectly grill thin or thick panini and sandwiches. A preset temperature ensures restaurant-quality results-always crisp and golden brown. Rerations < Cuisinart GR-1 Griddler Panini and Sandwich Press >
