『The battery life is terrible. If you read nothing else in this review, know that. But first:

Upon opening, the first thing you'll realize is that no matter how small you think they are, they are even smaller. They measure about 3 inches tall. Maybe 4.5 with the antenna. They are quite easy to grip though, and look and feel rugged enough to live through a few drops without an issue.

The sound quality in close proximity is great. Anything under 100 yards is very clear, even if you are going through brick walls and steel doors. I can hear my roommate just fine through 3 highrise apartment complexes. At distance, however, the quality breaks down quickly. No one expects 12 miles from a 2-way labeled as 12 mile capable, but 3 miles? 2 miles? Not likely unfortunately. If you get 1.5 residential area you should be thrilled.

The design seems rather straighforward, (volume up and down, channel up and down, power, scan, lock, squelch)The onlything I find odd is the placement of the belt clip. You need to remove it before you remove the battery cover. Makes replacing the battery a little more of a chore since the clip doesn't come off very easily.

Finally the battery life. This comes with 3 batteries for each radio. In the first use, our batteries lasted 4 hours. Now keep in mind, this was not constant communication. This was 90% standbye time. The manual says that after 2 minutes of non-use, the radios will switch to a power-save mode. That seems a little long to wait. They're fine for very casual use, but in any type of emergency situation I wouldn't be able to trust them. It's unfortunate, but I'm going to have to purchase my third set of walkie talkies simply because of the batteries.

Overall, it does fine for the cheap price. I didn't expect to much, but I'd look elswhere for a rechargeable unit if you need to rely on communication for anything critical.』

(No charger is a pain)
『I didn't test it to the extent of 12 miles, so I can't comment on that part. For the price, this thing seems to work well. The quality of sound is very good. No channel is complete clear--I had it on for a day just to see what's going on, and now and then I caught people talking. But it didn't bother me too much.

The biggest problem is, the batteries die in one day, let's say, 8 hours. So if you have to leave it on for a long time like that, no charger is a big problem. Each one uses 3 AAA batteries. So I bought another 2 sets of 4-pack rechargeable batteries. So adding this price on, this walkie talkie isn't as cheap as it looks like. I wish I had bought one with charger.

『Since there are a bunch of perverts lurking out there, this was bought for my daughter for her safety. I love the style and its portability. It takes three triple A batteries which sometimes last an hour or two depending on the brand of batteries. If you don't have the recharging type, then you will spend more than the price you bought these talkies. I tested on the 12 mile it claimed and failed. These talkies are for use half a mile away. There are several interferance which can get irritating. But other than that this is just okay...』

『With Walkie Talkies you get what you pay for... $19.99 is not going to get you a strong performer. I took a pair of these Unidens with me to Peru to hike the Andes and found them to be a poor performers. They tout a 12mile range, sure, hill top to hill top, with no obstruction, on a perfect day, no wind. Best we could get in hiking terrain was about 1.5 miles max... that's right. These walkie talkies eat batteries, as they have no power save function. Think 3 alkaline batteries a day. These Unidens have no channel lock (not good) and have crappy sound, hey what's not to like? Look if you are serious about communicating, stick with Motorola (like the MH230), I wish I had. Don't get suckered in by the price or those that tout 10 or 12 mile ranges... that is irrelevant, unless you are hiking death valley, in the valley that is. I do not recommend these walkie talkies, there are much better.』

『I ordered these for a camp, in order for the adults to be able to instantly communicate with each other, as some of the cellphones would not work well, due to various carriers not having service in that area. These radios worked out great. I realized that I needed more and I have since ordered more for next years camp. Every adult decided they needed to have one. This new enhancement has taken our camp to a higher level. The sound is crisp and clear. The range of them is excellent for our needs. It has a range of up to 12 miles, but we only needed like 2 miles. It has many channels to select from. I have no complaints whatsoever. I took extra batteries and was prepared to switch them out every other day. No big deal for me. The value of them and the use of them outweighed the need to switch out batteries.

『I just started riding a bike again this summer. With winter setting in I was really missing it so a friend suggested I get a trainer. I did a lot of research on line and this one seemed like a great option - price was right, no assembly, minimal hassle hooking up the bike, works with my mountain bike and thus far it has worked out great. No bells, no whistles, have to use gears on bike for more resistance, but it was also a minimal investment. I recommend it for anyone's first indoor trainer.』

『Despite reading other amazon reviews that said this trainer was noisy, I decided to purchase it because it was inexpensive. I've got a road bike with fairly smooth tires on it, but for me noise is not a problem with it. Setup is very easy, though the spare axle provided with the unit is not needed and they don't really tell you this. I've used it twice for ~45 minutes and had no issues. It does pick the rear wheel up maybe 4 or 5 inches, so I'd definitely recommend getting a riser block for the front wheel, otherwise you'll be in a rather awkward position.

Build quality seems pretty good, it feels good and solid and the bike doesn't rock around in it at all. Machining on the flywheel and the roller looks excellent. An all around good purchase.』

(Not Noisy!)
『I have been using by Bell Motivator for about a month now and while it does produce a bit of noise, the cause is the rear bike tire tread NOT the trainer. My tire tread is fairly smooth and hence, little noise. A mountain bike tread would produce a lot of noise. If it really bothers you, buy a tread-less rear tire to reduce the noise level when your bike is used as a trainer.

The wheel at the back of the trainer provides adjustable resistance level and I must say that a 20-minute workout with this trainer, makes me sweat as much as my normal 45 minute outdoor workout! I'd recommend this trainer to anyone who wants to keep up their biking routine, during the cold, rainy and snowy days of fall and winter (at least here in the NorthEast!)』

(Very well made but underpowered)
『I bought this scooter to commute to and from work. The battery life while not as long as it was reported to be, was sufficient for a mile and a half ride through city streets. The only other drawback is that there is no suspension system. I used this scooter twice daily for about six months without any problems, eventually the batteries began to take less of a charge and after finding out what a replacement set would cost I decided to upgrade to a different scooter. If Razor ever makes a 36V version with front fork and rear suspension I would buy it. I did have a motor issue but razor has a great customer service dept. and the issue was solved very quickly at no cost.』

(BATTERY LIFE??? THERE IS NONE!)
『Though this is a fun scooter, reality is that it's only fun when it works. My 3 kids each have one, and after charging it, they get a little 5-10 min. ride out of it, then have to charge it again. I feel totally jipped! Not worth the money, Razor should fix the problem, even for those out of warranty! The 45 min. run time wears down VERY fast!

"Average ride time" really translates to "you're lucky if you can ride for 25 minutes." Additionally, it must be stored in a place where it won't get too cold--so your garage is out. it'll look just lovely in your front hall. LOL

『I usually stay away from products made in the US but this is really high quality, feels very sturdy and you can tell that a lot of attention to detail has been put to it.
The leather holder is also a big plus for you can attach it to your tool belt with ease and take it on the go.
The only con is you have to be lucky not to get it stolen from you by the TSA when traveling.

『i have the older model of this tool (wave). it never leaves my side. useful for any handyman or even an aspiring one. 10 ten years of hard work have only made it more useful. No bits to lose, not to mention a full #2 phillips instead of that skinny new thing. just today i slid the mid-sized flathead into a random squarebit screw holding up a shelf. worked like a charm and saved me 15 min. it's a little trimmer, rounder in the body than the new one which fits better in the hand. plus the new one has those lock clip sticking out that get snagged on everything.

bottom line: no multitool is tougher, or more useful in a jam.

(Finally a quality keychain light for those who love pink!)
『Most keychain lights come in black, stainless steel, olive, mossy oak, or some other tactical color. The only exception I have seen are cheaply made consumer grade (i.e. disposable) models sold at mass market retailers. Until now.

The pink Streamlight Nano is exactly like the black Nano, except that its pink. I had the black one on my keychain until I saw this one. I gave the black one to my husband and promptly ordered this one.

It's a very lovely soft pink color, but has the high quality build construction the regular Nano and other Streamlight lights have. Aircraft grade metal, lubricated threads and o-ring, strong clip, and durable finish. This light is also very bright. I removed the SL tag to reduce bulk on my keychain. It's a great tiny and lightweight EDC flashlight, made even better if you like pink.』

『Very small (dainty, even, in pink!), lightweight. Easy on-off. If you "off" it all the way, it comes apart. You have to find a happy medium btw off and "coming apart off"!

My only concern is the spring-loaded clip. I plan to look at my keyring every time I use it. I lost another little flashlight bcs of the clip. (I reviewed it somewhere here; it has a "sapphire light" on it and you squeeze it to light it up. Great little flashlight, but it got lost very soon.)

User Features

This Wave model has four exterior blades that can be accessed even while the tool is closed. (Note: the knife blade can only be opened when the tool is closed.) You can open the blades with one hand by placing your thumb in the thumbhole at the base of the blade, and rotating until the knife is fully extended. This securely engages the locking mechanism.

The saw and file both have nail nicks at their tips for easy access. The locking mechanism is marked with a padlock symbol on the tool itself. To unlock the blades, all you have to do is press the locking mechanism toward the handle until the blade slides past the lock.

Accessing the interior features is a snap, too -- just grip the handles and rotate them open. Each interior blade can be opened by using the nail nicks. The scissors extend in the very same way, and they lock into place for secure, safe use. And of course, it's easy to change the tool bits, too. Just remove the bit from the driver and pop a new one into place.

What else would I need in a water bottle? I guess if you wanted it to fit in a car cupholder, get one of the smaller models. I just throw it on the passenger seat and love that the bottle holds a liter of water.』

『I already reviewed the 32 oz. Wide Mouth Loop Top Bottles but wanted to add that I purchased the pretty pink bottle for my daughter, knowing that the pretty color would please her. She is very happy with the color, it makes it easy to tell her bottle apart from other family members' bottles, and the clean taste of the water along with knowing it's a BPA-Free product ensures that she will take it with her wherever she goes! We are very happy with this product.』

『I bought this bottle because I was not keeping myself hydrated enough through the course of the day. Now I carry my Nalgene everywhere, every day. It has numerous scratches on the outside from camping trips and being tossed around in cars and coolers, but the bottle is evidently nearly indestructable. The cap loop allows you to carry the bottle with one finger when your hands are full. About once a week I put about a tablespoon of bleach and some hot water in it, loosen the cap, invert it in the sink, and let the mouth of the bottle soak. Excellent piece of gear.』
