Note on sizing - I would disregard the recommended ages provided by Razor - I wouldn't recommend this size for anyone older than 11 - it would just be too small. I used to ride dirt bikes when I was a kid and was a bit skeptical w/ an electric. But he has put put this thing through the ringer and it has performed very well. Only glitch we encountered was the rear brake locked at one point but it was a relatively easy fix. Overall very pleased.』

『After bicep tendon surgery 5 months ago, I found that my wrist was very weak. I'm a scratch bowler, and I could not release the ball right. I bought one of these on advice of a friend. It took me about an hour to figure out how to get it going, but just use the string and wind it around as far as it will go (not once around as directed),pull hard, and rotate your wrist as per the instructions. After just three weeks my wrist feels strong as ever at age 54. Check out the YouTube video to get a better idea if you have trouble.』

『I bought this shoe for standing and walking at work with little sitting. It seems true to size and width. It is the most comfortable shoe that I have ever worn for working! When I am finished at the end of the day and take my shoes off, my feet feel like I just got up out of bed. I adjusted to the curving of the shoes after a few minutes. I did not notice any difference in my calves or gluts, but time may tell.』

『I have a bad back and have really gotten out of shape because of it. I bought with goal of accomplishing fun exercise and fitness without hurting my back as usual - plus my young son will ride his scooter with me and let me do this for exercise. It's great. I used to ride a skateboard about 20-25 years ago and it made me feel a little bit like a little girl again!
You have to use your core muscles for balance on this so it does help use those although you will not feel that either during or after. Balancing and moving are fun enough that you will get a sweat up and be out of breathe without noticing it when you are playing around - which is great news for other adults like me who can find fitness to be a chore! I throw this in the car for the park or ride it around the neighborhood and keep up with my son on his bike because it is easier on my back and a (better) workout - plus it's a great size.
For all the other folks: my sisters are really fit and have no physical issues and they tried it out and really liked it too. They were surprised at the tight turns and balance that it took to ride this. You could tell they enjoyed the speed, too. They never got into skating so they were surprised about how fun it was and that you used your muscles to ride it. Bottom line is this: it easily allows you to work up to how much balance you will need and the more balance you use the more fun you have (and the faster you can go)!

Due to this unconventional manner of walking, we suggest you moderate your walking routine in Shape Ups for the first week or two (25 to 45 minutes per day), depending on your level of fitness. As you continue to wear your Shape Ups, your body will adjust to this new method of walking. You will find it easy and comfortable while still enjoying the strengthening and cardiovascular benefits.

Get in the Routine

1. Kick Back: Stand upright and place feet parallel and hip distance apart, balance centered. Roll your weight onto the back of the soft foam heel– hold for a count of five and then back to the center. Do not lock knees or tip backward. Stretches calf and hamstrings. Repeat 5 to 10 times.

2. Rock and Roll:Stand upright and place feet parallel and hip distance apart, balance centered. Roll your weight forward so you are balancing on the underside of your toes– hold for a count of two, then slowly rock back to the soft heel – hold for a count of two, and then back to your center of balance. Do not lock knees or tip backward. Stretches calf and hamstrings, warms up Achilles and ankles. Repeat 5 to 10 times.

3. Roll and Rock and Roll:Follow the Rock and Roll stretch, but alternate feet so one is rolling to the toes and one is rocking back. Repeat 5 to 6 times.

4. The Lean:Place your hands on a wall, parallel and slightly above your head. With one leg in front of the other and your arms forward, press with your palms as if you were leaning on the wall. Keep your back leg straight and your front foot on the floor, then bend the front leg and lean forward by moving your hips toward the wall. Hold for a count of five, then repeat on the other side. Stretches calf and Achilles. Repeat 5 to 6 times.
