(medieval punishment) 『I had a dangerous experience while testing this product. I bought the balance board with excitement because it resembled others I have seen before. I had an elementary aged child test it out. He was so enthusiastic! I held his hand as he got on the board, when he felt comfortable he let go. Oh my goodness! That board went dangerously fast left and then right. It slid out from under him. He landed on his side on our carpet and was---thankfully---fine. After telling this story to an experienced skateboarder and hockey player, he asked to try the balance board on carpet as well. He is an adult with much 'balance' in his life. The board went wild under him and was difficult to control. He agreed, not a good fit to use unless surpervised by an adult with elementary aged children. It is dangerous. I suppose if you are an adrenline junky, this might be fun. And a good project for children. Tell them the story above and have them problem solve how to make this balance board better. As I believe the top is good, but the circular cylinder underneath creates hazardous curves. Children will explore the world around them trying to figure out balance. A wonderful thing for the brain and then maybe they can create a better balance board for the market!』
(Too challenging for a small 5-year-old) 『I ordered one of these for my granddaughter because I had enjoyed the same thing so much when I was little, and also because I saw it as a way she could amuse herself without constant parental involvement. But as it turns out, it's not the same. At 5, she enjoys it but can't manage it by herself without falling off; she can only do it while holding both of her father's hands. When I finally saw her using it, I understood why. My old balance board had a solid wood or hard rubber cylinder, like the Indo Board, and rolled freely even on a rough stone surface. The cylinder on this one has three wheels made out of apparently unsanded plywood, which don't roll freely but kind of lurch from side to side, so that it's very difficult for a small child (or grandmother!) to manage without falling. Unless your family is more athletic than mine, I'd recommend going for the higher-priced one. I would have revised my rating downwards, but this program won't let me.』 『Stand up. Balance. And rock! (definitely worth getting when purchasing the bottle) 『Initially I had purchased one of the bottles without the insulating bottle sleeve. I liked the bottle however nothing stayed cold and the bottle sweat so bad I would have to keep it wrapped in a napkin or paper towel. While getting my kids ready for school and trying to get away from "throw away plastic" bottles, I decided to get one bottle and sleeve for each daughter. They realy like them and it is the only way I would purchase the bottle again. On the down side, the sleeve helps keeping drinks cold, but not for the whole school day.』

There is a hand adjustment function that realigns it and then it was OK.
Very light and nice size of the dial. I always put on my polarized sunglasses and observe the crystal. Being acrylic, all flaws will show up immediately when viewed thru your polarized sunglasses - just view at various angles - i found one blemish that is NOT visible to naked eye, but VERY visible when viewed thru the polarized lenses.
Setting the Home Time and Dual Time is quite easy. However, if you want to know what time it is in the other zone - the hands go thru the entire motion as if you would wind it manually. Though fascinating to watch for the first time, I would have preferred that the minute hand go quickly to where it should be and have only the hour hand go winding - would be much quicker.
Finds the atomic clock rather easily - but can take UP TO FOUR MINUTES (depending on where you are and your signal strength) to set itself.
Not a sweeping second hand like the automatics - just the usual discrete ticks of quartz watches.
Auto light is nice. It senses the surrouding ambient light and when you raise your wrist to normal time viewing position, the light comes on automatically - stays on for couple of seconds - and then goes off. There is an alarm too, but dont count on it to wake you up !
You can actually see the minute hand move every 20 seconds. Doesnt display the charged power level or the day of the week.
Not bad for the price though, given that it is solar powered and atomic!』
(Had High Hopes) 『Ordered this watch because of the solar power, Automic Clock Sychro, and the list of features it has. However I am returning it for the following reasons:
1 - It feels really cheap. The case is not metal but some sort of shiny plastic. 2 - The watch band is thin and feels flimsy and it is anchored to the watch in such a way that the watch is curved and cannot be laid flat on its back 3 - The crystal is really plastic. I knew this and it did not surprise me. However the crystal (plastic) is curved and warped so if you look at the watch from enough of an angle you can't see the face clearly. 4 - The automatic illumination works but it lights up the face unevenly and doesn't work that great. 5 - I couldn't get the atomic clock synch to work. I'm no really grading it on this point but I live outside of washington DC and it just wouldn't synch up.
However I will say that all the other features work great and give a precise feel.

(Nice watch, crystal is easy to scratch) 『I purchased this watch about 2 months ago, and I wear it every day, and really like it. I also have another Casio WaveCeptor watch, and compared to it, this one will not synchronize as dependably. If left in a window it will synchronize every night, but only about 50% of the time if left in a dresser drawer or in the medicine cabinet. The other WaveCeptor I own (which ironically was much less money - it's all digital), will synchronize in the basement! The main issues is the crystal - the piece of clear plastic or glass that covers the dial. On this watch it is not made of fine glass, but rather of plastic, and will scratch. I have generally found that watches that cost over about $30-50 will have a glass mineral crystal, so it's very surprising that a watch that almost hits $100 will have a plastic crystal, and a soft one at that. My advice, get the watch, enjoy it, in a year or two when the crystal is beat up, get a jeweler to replace it with a true glass mineral crystal - about $30.』
(Awesome watch!) 『I bought this watch to replace my Citizen Skyhawk which I thought was a little too heavy for me. I love the fact that it is solar powered, just as the Skyhawk. However the Atomic has a backlight and syncs with Fort Collins for always updated time. This works very well (I live in the Midwest). It is waterproof and I wear it swimming frequently. Nice size and weight for the watch.』
(Impressive looks but serious shortcomings) 『A good value in an attractive package but with serious limitations.
Pros:
Very impressive appearance. Three small dials and LCD window, sweep second hand. Excellent timekeeper with automatic updating through Waveceptor capability. Automatic or manual dial illumination is excellent for nighttime use.
Cons:
Stopwatch function. (1) Elapsed minutes are not displayed except on the left small dial that's marked in 5-minute intervals. Between these tics, you have to guesstimate minutes from the tiny dial. (2) The upper small dial measures 1/20th-second intervals during the first minute of stopwatch operation. While it spins impressively for that minute, it serves no other useful function as the LCD window displays 1/100th-second intervals continuously. (3) There is no lap-time function; the stopwatch is on or off.
Date function: The only display is the date (e.g. "4") in the LCD window. There is no display for day-of-week or month name. This is an inexcusable omission.
Alarm function: To set the alarm, you must select the alarm time by holding one of the buttons while the watch fast-forwards from 12:00 a.m. If you overshoot, you can't back up, and must go around again. This is unacceptably clumsy and inconvient.
Other: (1) Plastic crystal can scratch easily. (Casio's mineral crystal is virtually scratchproof. Too bad it isn't on this watch). (2) The rubber-like plastic band isn't replacable, so you have to live with it. (3) The 75-page user's guide is often dense and confusing, and the type is so tiny that it's very hard to read.
Summary: There are no significant features in this timepiece that aren't available in less-expensive Casio watches, often with more detail (day, date, month display) and more convenient (alarm setting). That said, this is a very sexy watch and is sure to impress folks who don't know much about its innards.
Recommendation: If high-tech is the goal, not likely to find anything truly capable under $200. If convenience and timekeeping features are priority, there are better Casios at a lower price. This watch makes too many compromises for the sake of looks.

These are just fine and about the same weight (about medium) as the Haynes which is what I wanted. They seem nicely made and the pockets are nice and big (not always the case on sweats). I'm 6'2" and the legs on the XXL size are way too long (by almost 4 inches!). Kept the pants and my wife shortened them for me because the price was good and the rest of the fit was fine and weight was what I wanted. I can recommend them but be aware of the leg length issue.』

They are always too long. If you try to shrink them by washing, the waist shrinks too (if they shrink at all).

I ride at night, and it easily illuminates road signs and obstacles. The taillight can be set to steady on, blink, or "random". I leave mine in blink mode which I feel is the most visible. The headlight can be steady or blink, and I leave it in steady mode as I need it as much for seeing my way as making me visible to motorists. The total weight of the package is very light -- at least compared to the rest of my gear. I'm not racing here and I'm not counting grams, so I was pleasantly surprised by how little the whole setup weighs.
I don't hesitate to recommend this package to anyone who rides after dark.』
(Great bike lights for commuting) 『These are great lights for commuters. They're really for visibility - don't plan to use the head light to illuminate the road in front of you. But, I think they really help with visibility - I can see the light flashing on reflective signs and such pretty far away.
One small complaint about the headlight is that the light flashes upward as well as forward. So, if you plan to affix this to your handlebars, you should note that you'll see the flashing light too. I find this a little distracting and may put a piece of duct tape across the top, to dim it.
Other than that, it's a great set.』
(For the Money, Can't Beat It!) 『These lights are light (weight-wise -- no pun intended), a cinch to mount, and work quite well. I feel much safer riding at dawn and dusk with these two drawing attention to me from the front and rear. If you have never purchased anything from Cateye, once you see any of their products, you will realize the quality this company provides. These lights are no different. For night riding, the headlight is acceptable, but it lights such a small area it makes it difficult to see what is heading your way. Within the limits of the beam, the light is bright and pure; it just doesn't provide much peripheral illumination. (Think spotlight) Bottom line: for the money, you can't beat this combo.』

(When weight matters...) 『I purchased this set for myself and Cateye HL-350 and LD170 Bicycle Headlight and Tail Light Combination for my son's bike. Let's just say I should have purchased two of these sets instead.
Mounting: The mounting clips are very slick - very adjustable and clamp down tight. There are several mounting options, which should make it adaptable for any situation. I used the bar mount for the front and the clothing clip looped through the loop on my Topeak Survival Tool Wedge Pack with Fixer on the back.
Headlight: The headlight is very small (like the size of 1 cereal bar) but bright enough for city use (too small and lightweight I would think for nighttime trail riding). My one qualm with it is that the battery cover comes off with a coin or flat blade and does not feel like it fits very securely. On my set up, the low profile does result in some of the light being lost as it hits the cables. You need to hold the button to turn it off, which bugs me - I would have rather had a straight on/off without the blinking option.
Tail light: I am less enthused about the tail light. It is large. It slides into the different mounting options, which means I have it slid into the clothing clip mount, which is slid onto my wedge pack. The other tail lights I have used, use the clothing clip as the default clip and can be adapted for stay mounts if necessary. It would not attach to the mount point on my older Topeak rear rack without the use of cable ties, so if you have a rear rack AND a wedge pack, mounting could be a problem if one does not accept either a post mount or clip mount and you want a easy on/off solution. It is adequately bright and the battery cover is easy enough to remove although like the light, seems insecure with no rubber insulation ring to keep moisture out.
Bottom line: It is a perfect commuting companion for city use and appears to meet legal requirements. It works adequately even on streets that are poorly lit by street lamps, but does not light a wide enough path to be great for trail riding or situations where there are no other sources of light (houses, street lights, etc...). (Tough and Light. Good Travel Shoes) 『I bought these shoes about 2 years ago. Usually, you want to buy new shoes every year, but these shoes have been very good for 2 years now. They are tough, dependable, and lightweight. I have used them for running, for trail hiking, for city walking, and for everyday use with no problems. I've even used them to travel throughout Mexico and the United States. They have been very good. I still wear them to work and around town.
The only problem is that they are so good that you'll want to wear them for longer than you should. I need to get another pair of New Balance shoes before I go to Vietnam. I hope my next pair will be as good as these.

(Truly a unique deck) 『I collect playing cards for their designs. Many of the decks in my collection have unique backs, Jokers, and the Ace of Spades, but the face cards are usually standard.
This deck is 100% unique. Each outward angle of the diamond, club, heart or spade has a flourish, EACH face card is unique and different, and the numbers and letters on the cards are also unique. The only cards that are standard are the Jokers...weird. The cards themselves are grey, both front and back with black, white and red ink. As for the quality, I'm finding them not to be the stiffest card stock, but they're not the weakest either. Just keep in mind that it's most likely meant to be a novelty deck.
