(Waiting For It)

(Waiting for it, no thanks!)

(Too Much of a Good Thing)

(Definitely hot!)

(Waiting For It)
Taylor Moore lived in the background of her small hometown not wanting to be noticed by anyone. Thinking she could do no better, she married her high school boyfriend Mitch, but had always been in love with his best friend Jake Farrell. Jake had never liked her, and had gone out of his way to torment her at every opportunity. He left town never to be seen again shortly after graduation. She was never happy with her husband, and when she caught Mitch cheating on her, she finally got the courage to dump him.

When she ran into Jake at the grocery store, you could have knocked her over with a feather. He still looked good, and when Mitch's mistress verbally attacked her, it was Jake that came to her rescue. He was talking crazy about how he had always wanted her, but she knew it was a lie. He hated her - didn't he? Taylor didn't know what to do. She had spent years fantasizing about Jake, but now she was all of a sudden getting a different story. He followed her home, and after talking they realized it was Mitch that had kept them apart for so many years. Lies and misunderstandings had led them down the path to other people. Taylor listened to Jake profess his love, but had trouble absorbing it and believing it. Could she let go of the past to be with him?

Others manipulating their lives had kept Jake and Taylor apart for so many years. Both just existing thinking about what they knew their hearts wanted. A classic storyline that never gets old. It was an erotic enjoyable read with multifaceted characters.

This writer kept coming up in recommendations from in my searches through Amazon and I thought, hay why not try and see. The book started well enough and I got myself ready to sit down and have a nice sexy read. Unfortunately that was not to be. It took me around 2 weeks to finish this book, I usually end a book of this length in about 2 days tops depending on which day of the week it is.
Am sorry but it just dragged on and on. No story, just sex and more sex. Look I do not mind the sex, but this just was porn rather than the erotica I came to expect from writer like Shiloh Walker and Lora Leigh. I mean cramming and shoving and all the other words that the writer kept using over and over and over and.... you get my drift.
The so called hero was something else too. I just did not believe the guy, he lacked sincerity and I did not for one second believe that he loved the female character Taylor.
I mean the book sounds hot I know, but it just winded up to be tedious and I just don't want to waist my time feeling that I have to, rather than want to, read something.

Don't get me wrong. Sex is great but doing it 50 times a day is just not believable! After a while I just thought, "OK, the sex is hot but give me some substance to the story here". I think that everyone has had the fantasy at some time or another that someone secretly desires them from afar. It would have been really great if that story-line had been covered more deeply. Also, maybe it's just me but, I don't mind a little dirty talk in private, but don't talk to me like that in the grocery line! I would have been highly offended and embarrassed - not turned on.
I love pretty much everything Rhyannon writes. This book was no exception. The plot was very thought provoking, loved the character's background&really enjoyed this book. Please keep 'em coming (smile!)
I have been reading romance novels for about 25 years and this is the worst book I have ever read. I have written only one other half hearted review, but I really felt compelled to save other readers from my $9.99 error. This is not a romance, nor is it erotica, it is just trash. Not trashy, just trash. There is plenty of sex, but not really hot sex. I mean having someone tell you they want to F-you, they can't wait to F-you and then when they get to F-ing, because that's what they do in this book, all of the ramming and cramming just made me writhe in imagined pain. Hated it.
Love that lasts forever is the kind worth waiting for.

Taylor Moore is an artist. With the bold colors of her palette, she gives life to her passionate memories of Jake Farrell. It's been ten long years since the dark-haired, green-eyed football player left town. In that decade, Taylor has been married to and divorced from the bitter man who always stood between them.

After all this time, she still aches with hunger for that ruggedly beautiful boy from her past, unable to love another. But when Jake suddenly comes home, all grown up and claiming to have returned for her, Taylor's not buying it. She's more than ready to trust the gorgeous man with her body, allowing his dominant sexuality full control; she just refuses to trust him with her heart.

But Jake's been waiting a lifetime for this woman, and he's not about to accept half-measures. He wants her full surrender, and Taylor must finally find the courage to stop waiting for it—and start living for love.

(Uneven stories)

(Hot and Steamy)

(Two books in One)

(Make it Last)

(Blah)
I enjoyed reading Make it Last which is two stories which can be read independently of each other, but have connecting characters. Unlike other reviewers, I enjoyed the first story "Design of a Lifetime" much better than "Pull My Hair" Yes, the second story had more depth, character and plot line than the first. However, the book is labeled as "contemporary erotic romance" The first story was full of erotic writings and story, while the second was more your standard romance, with a few rough sex scenes thrown in for good measure. Reading one story right after the other put me off a bit, as the rhythm of the two stories was so very different. I also felt that the second story "Hair" dragged and had a sub plot which was totally unnecessary.

I found it difficult to enjoy the second story also because I found the female lead so unpleasant. Yes, she had a rough upbringing, Yes, life is unfair, Yes, hurts experienced in youth can scar you for life; however, the character just did not garner any sympathy from me.

A very interesting aspect of the book was how toward the end, Ms. Terry introduced characters that will be the focus of Ms. Terry's book Just Like Candy.

All in all, it was a quick read, less than one day (admittedly, I did skip the sub plot) Not only are Make it Last and Just Like Candy BW/WM interracial romance novel, they are also, rich man/poor girl fantasy novels. Where can I find guys like Ms. Terry's characters?

I liked this book. It was not what I expected. This is not your average romance novel. It shocks you if you don't know this writer. I didn't. The two stories leave you hot and bothered but some of the tenderness is missing. If you like sexy books this it.
This is actually an anthology of two books in a series (of sorts). The third book is Just Like Candy. Both stories are highly erotic. I must say I liked the second story MUCH better (Pull My Hair). It had much more depth of character, plot, and well...everything. It was an erotic romance that took place IN a marriage. I thought it was superb story about learning to let go of the past and accept yourself. Without that you can't move forward in your marriage. Oh and did I mention it was H-O-T.

The first story Design of a Lifetime was a bit too world wind for me. I'm not big on the having sex with a stranger type plot. There was no real reason to do it and definitely no time to fall in love. It was erotic and spicy, but not really the type of Erotic Romance I like.

If I had to rate the books separately I would give Design of a Lifetime a 3. (Because it was still well written, Erotic, and Romantic at the same time. If not unrealistic). I would give Pull My Hair a 5. Having read almost all of her books. I can clearly say this is by FAR my favorite. (And she writes a pretty damn good book).

Overall I say pick up the book.

Love both of the stories about love relationships between black females and white males. I have read historicals all the time and it is nice for a change to read something new. I recommend this story if you like hot and steamy love making.
Well,
I did not like the book.. The first story was about sex sex sex sex I mean really. After reading the 1 cone I did not want to read the second one
Really disappointed
Their was no love in the story....... lust maybe
Everything went by so fast
very disappointed

Karina Woodson works long and hard to make her web-design business, Design of a Lifetime, a success. So much so that she's totally neglected her nonexistent love life. When her best friend tells her she needs to loosen up and expand her horizons, Karina takes her suggestion to heart. A one-night stand with a sexy, blue-eyed, stranger turns into an erotic adventure beyond her wildest imagination. Karina wonders if she's just made the stupidest mistake of her life or if there can be something more between them than one night of out-of-this-world, erotic pleasure. When Cooper Tolson meets the sexy, slightly frumpy Karina, there's just something about the sway of her full hips and her off-the-wall sense of humor that captures his attention along with his libido. What he doesn't count on is the effect their night of pleasure will have on him. He's unable to get the pretty, full-figured designer out of his mind and he sets out on a course to convince her that their night of pleasure can be something more. Pull My Hair What's a woman to do when her man no longer notices her? Liza and Greg have been married for seven years and her husband no longer pulls her hair. No more long, extended love play, spankings or sweet kisses...nothing but let's get this over with sex. Sex has become mechanical and the only time Liza catches a thrill is when Greg needs an itch scratched. Enough is enough when she cuts off all her glorious locks and Greg doesn't even notice! She is determined to figure out what has gone wrong, and how to get her man to notice her again. After seven years of marriage, Greg realizes he doesn't know his wife and is tired of the game she's playing. He too misses the sweet love they once shared, but a recent surprise from the past shows him that his wife has hidden part of herself from him and has him wondering what else she has hidden. Will Liza and Greg get past the lies and half-truths to rediscover a love worth fighting for, or is their once hot, loving marriage doomed for failure?

(Way better than I expected)

(WHAT....DID....YOU....SEE?! ("USAGI"))

(Don't buy this with your own money!)

(More Like Negative Six!)

(Engaging and funny)
This was featured in one of my other mangas by the Blu publishing company at the back with the advertisements. It had a cute premise so I decided to buy it. I highly recommend it! It was cute, funny, racy and very sexy. Most boy love stories are cute but mostly tame. This is pretty explicit and was very delightful for that fact. I think you'll enjoy it. ^_^
JUNJO ROMANTICA Volume 1: (Yaoi) (Junjo Romantica)

I found the story to be one that I can never really put down, every time I get a new volume I start at the beginning and work my way through them all over again...I consider it one of the best series I own. Both of the romances have a sad flare to them that brings both character conflict and a little understanding into the way they act now. Both stories come together sometimes and bring a sense of what a sad love teaches us for the next great love. I look forward to reading and collecting these until the very end. And just as it seems that nothing else can happen the sh** hits the fan and I love to see what they do. The characters grow and grow on you and you want to see the resolution of mind and body....LOL, plus who would have thought the two Usami brothers would love the same person, being that they are so different...waiting for the six volume, while reading the old ones looking for clues....AND a shout out to the author: "I enjoy your work and it brings both laughter and sadness(waiting for the next volume) to my day, week, or month! And with three jobs and school, I need that... ~_~" Emiri

While I did buy this with my own money I wish I hadn't. In this volume there are two couples we get the "honor" of reading about. The first, a D average student and his tutor a sexy boys love novelist and the second a lanuage student at an university and a smart orphan student in need of tutoring (seeing a pattern?). Any hoo, the first couple is a bore, with the novelist randomly molesting the not adorable student. If you are familar with yaoi then you would know that in some stories this type of action/scenes work. So I am assuming the manga-ka of this just assumed it would work for her story as well. It doesn't. They are thrown in and meant to be seen as some sort of comical relief. While the D average student is complaining about the "Perverted" novelist we soon see him getting upset that the novelist is really just using him as a substitute for who he really loves. Huh? What? Yeah they are a stupid couple with no flow, solid plot, or romance.
With that said, the second couple, the language student and orphan, are actually quite cute and fun to read. If you can force yourself through the snooze fest of the first couple then this second one is worth reading. While there are some scenes that are a bit odd (the orphan shows up at the others house and makes breakfast though the language student clearly doesn't want him there) it all pans out because this couple moves a bit slower and the intentions of both are clearly shown to the reader. If the manga was just this second couple then it would be worth the money, however, since it's not, really don't bother. Unless you just like reading pointless smut.

A writer tutoring a HS student serves as setup for a series of rape-porn interludes, strung together by "emotional" scenes which make no sense unless you assume the characters are being remote controlled by a brain damaged alien with zero understanding of human behavior.

The writer is tutoring his "best friend's" little brother. He harbors a secret lust for his friend. When the kid discovers this he accuses Writer Guy of forcing his fantasies on his brother. The writer is shocked, SHOCKED, that he would be accused of forcing anybody, and so promptly forces sex on the kid (Interlude 1). After this the kid observes -- seriously -- that Writer Guy "would never do anything my brother wouldn't like", and reserves his moral outrage for when his "cruel" brother gets married to some nice female non-rapist. Then bizarre "heart-tugging" scenes spring out of nowhere, as though the writer saw them work in other manga, and thought stringing them together at random between sadistic sex scenarios would be a quick way to earn a few bucks. I got this at the library, if you can believe it. Hopefully donated by a disgusted buyer, and not something my tax money was spent on.

I will say that I liked this story. From the very begining I was hooked. Though one can almost predict was is going to happen between Usagi-san and Misaki. But that is the case with a lot of the stories. The only problem I have had is that the drawings are a little different that what I have been used to. I find that sometimes I have to look and look hard and turn the book this way and that to try to determine what is what. The proportions are skewed as well, though that seems to be the author's style.
Misaki is struggling to pass his college entrance exams, and has taken up a tutor: the cool and sexy Akihiko Usami, who also happens to be a famous boys' love novelist. At first, Misaki is disgusted by Akihiko, but slowly, Misaki realizes he may be developing feelings for the older man. And so begins the bumpy relationship of this odd couple, filled with comedy and pure romance...

(Great modern day romance)

(ON FIRE by Drew Zachary)

(Not Bad...But Not Great)

(A delightful story.)

(On Fire by Drew Zachary)
A quickie turns into true romance in this story of a college student, Sam, and a firefighter, Robert, who is closer to the kid's father's age than to him. Which is something Sam's father points out when he meets his son's new boyfriend for the first time.

So how can two completely different people have a life together? Read this book and find out. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and I'm so glad the author continues the story, picking up several years later after Sam is out of school and working. Are they still together? Read the second book and find out!

A cute college student picks up a sexy older fireman at a Canada Day car
wash for a quick fling, and a sweet relationship develops.

This book is really sweet, and the sex is *HOT*. The pairing between a mature fireman and a flamboyant college boy isn't one I would have picked if I'd been warned ahead of time, but the chemistry works here.

The kid is hyperactive and silly and I wish he'd been a bit more mature, but he didn't bother me as much as I thought he would. The fireman, however, is the very image of "strong and sexy", and his calm demeanor really balances out the kid's craziness. There's no major external conflict in this story besides the social issues that might surround a relationship with such a big age difference. This is just good fluff. Think of it as really sexy cotton candy. :)

I liked ON FIRE even better when I found out that my favorite Torquere author Chris Owen makes up half of the "Drew Zachary" pen name.

Robert is a 32 year old Fireman who is openly gay and is mostly content with life. Sam is an 18 year old college guy who is bubbly, bouncy, and always looking for fun. When Sam picks Robert up at a Canada Day festival it's supposed to be just a one night stand but neither guy can quite forget the other. A couple months later when Roberts calls Sam with an invite to dinner their relationship takes off. Dealing with Sam's disapproving father(age difference) and Roberts confused friends(Sam's hair keeps changing colors)the two try to make love connect their many differences.
I had several hang ups about this book. The age difference bothered me. If Sam was just a couple years older I wouldn't have thought nothing of it, but 18? And he wasn't a mature 18 either. He annoyed me about as much as my 18 year old niece does, and I would be pissed if some 32 year old man(or woman) messed around with her. That's too young for 30something. Another problem was the author seemed to base the entire story around sex. For some that might not be a bad thing and normally not a promblem for me, but this went overboard in the repetitiveness. Not to mention pushing the reality boundaries considering Sam could seem to come like 5 time a lovemaking session, and have several sessions a day. That's a guy I'd like to meet! To be honest I grew bored with the book. The constant sex is fine if there's plot and conflict going on around it. Like Bareback by Chris Owen. That was great! This left me wondering what the point was. But hey, different people different opinions. Other reviewers seemed to like it. Try for yourself.

Sammy is a young (but legal) college student that has a thing for guys in uniform. When he first encounters Robert an older fireman in his uniform all wet and sexy, Sam can't wait to get Robert somewhere private for some quality alone time. From their very first time these two know that there's something special between them. There's lots of hot loving that left me breathless and all tingly inside and romance that's tender and loving. Sammy's a handful (literally) and Robert's just the man to handle Sammy.

This story is near and dear to my heart (I married my man in uniform when I was barely 18 years old and he was nearly twice my age). Drew Zachary (the pen name for Vic Winter&Chris Owen's co-written work) perfectly captures the awkwardness of being in a relationship with someone older; the good-natured ribbing from friends, the suspicious and protective attitudes from family and the amusing conversations resulting from their generational difference. When Robert first meets Sammy's dad was one of the best (if not the best) scene in the book. I laughed so hard it became painful. A delightful story that I will enjoy reading time and time again.

Note: This is part of a two book series. This series is a perfect example of how to write a sizzling hot story with plenty of loving -- delicious and detailed, without letting the plot and characters suffer. Sammy's like an over-affectionate puppy, all wiggly and enthusiastic. Robert has no problem keeping up and taming his frisky lover. The affection and growing love is evident between these two. I like the feeling of falling in love with my characters as they fall in love with each other. The dialog and interactions were realistically portrayed along with realistic elements that added an emotional depth to their characters. The first book is more of a "getting to know you" storyline, while the second book deals more with their established relationship. I would have to say I liked the second book a lot more because of this. The second book also features a Christmas Holiday with Sammy's dad.

Sam is a 18 years old student with a passion for uniform... and when he sees Robert, a 6 feet and half fireman, all wet in his uniform, his "wet" dreams come true. But Robert is 32 years old and, even if the first encounter is a steamy sex session, he thinks that a boy so young can't stay long in a relationship. But if they want to take a change, maybe this will be the best love of their life.

Sam, Sammy, is a wonderful character: a wild cat in bed and a tender puppy outside. He absolutely loves sex, more and often. Without problems and strings attached. But Robert is something else. He can't be only a one night stands.

Robert is the type of man I like best: a huge man outside with a sweet inside; he wants commitment, he wants love forever...

On fire is a sexy romance filled with funny moments. There is a lot of sex, but it is a joyouse and simple sex, an old way sex... with all the stuff you can read in this days, get excited with it means that Drew Zachary has a happy pen.

Take one tall, broad-shouldered fireman in his early thirties. Mix well with one skinny, eighteen-year-old college kid who lives for sex, and the results are sheer pleasure. Sam and Robert are about as opposite as you can get, aside from the fact that they're both into sex with guys. When Sam picks Robert up during Canada Day festivities, neither of them are expecting more than making some fireworks for the holiday. And the sparks definitely fly, especially since Sam is able to recharge his batteries as only an eighteen year old can. Robert finds himself both entranced and smitten with young Sam, who is bubbly and happy and can have more sex in the space of an hour than Robert can believe. But there's a world of difference between eighteen and thirty-two, as Sam and Robert discover along the way. Friends and family add to the difficulties they encounter. But the two of them come to realize that underneath it all, they have more than just a physical need for each other. The emotion that blossoms between them is soon as great as their first sizzling attraction. Drew Zachary, the author of Transforming Hades and Skin Deep, has written a romance as hot as the flame it's named after. Don't miss it!

(I'd Like To See Bourbon Street Like That!!)

(Great erotica, decent story)

(Talk about HOT and STEAMY)

(Sensual...Almost Too Much)

(Promising, but ultimately disappointing)
As strictly erotica, this book is HOT! As romantica, not so much. There isn't much in the way of a plot, or character development. But if you're looking for some steamy sex in just about any way you can imagine (and some you wouldn't even begin to), then this is a book for you.
I am not going to do a rendition, I see this has been done. This book was not bad. I thought it lacked passion, but it did have hot steaming pages. Overall I thought there were no twists and turns to the plot to keep the actual story line going. The only thing good about this book is the erotica. I do recommend this book if you are not looking for a romance novel.
Wow, this is a must read book if you want hot and steamy. I love the spontaneous sex they have in the strip club and in some courtyard. The story is great, the man sounds so yummy. Wish I could meet someone like this. Lacey does an awesome job on this book. You won't want to put the book down.
NOTE: I am a huge fan of erotica, a big supporter of women's sexuality. And as a bisexual woman, I was thrilled to hear that this heroine is as well, and has some encounters with women in this book unlike many others.

PLOT: Liz Marsh thinks her stodgy fiance is cheating, and so, for some unknown reason, when she decides to hire a PI, she decides to dress like a high-class whore.

The PI is Jack Wade, a tall-dark-handsome-alpha-male sex god amongst men, instantly as smitten with Liz as his best friend Ty is when Ty walks in on their flirting.

Jack takes the case, discovers Todd, the fiance, is cheating only by getting lapdances from strippers. Liz demands to see with her own eyes, goes to the club with Jack, catches Todd, lusts after the female dancers, and has sex with Jack in an alley.

She realizes magically she never loved Todd, dumps him, and asks Jack to help her discover her sexuality. They do it almost every way a vanilla mind can imagine, she gets a grinding private lapdance from a woman that makes her orgasm, Jack buys and shows her how to use a "massager", Liz moves in with her wild bi best friend, and then she agrees to have a threesome with Jack and his best friend.

I stopped reading there, sorry I can't finish it.

PROS: The prose style is great, the author's voice is strong. The sex is toe-curling steamy, the anticipation is a page turner. The author builds fairly believable characters (some things are a huge stretch), and the sex was realistic. Liz is like a real woman in that she doesn't always climax by intercourse alone.

CONS: What made me stop reading in the middle of a MFM threesome? A plot is absent. It's just a sexual odyssey, and sometimes you go from one long, descriptive love scene right into another. The sex might be toe-curling, but it gets old quickly.

Todd shows some signs he might be a stalker, but if he was villianous, that should have showed up sooner.

Also, the greatest irony? Did Todd actually cheat? Emotionally maybe, but not physically. And yet Liz shows the same addicition he had to the VERY SAME STRIPPERS HE WAS HOOKED ON!!! And, she technically pjhysically cheated on Todd with Jack. If they had been married, divorcing, and I was the judge, I'd fault her 100% by pure reason only.

At this point I began to see Liz as a selfish, immature idiot, and couldn't believe Jack was really in love with her.

SUMMARY: I'd still get if I were you, but only because, heck, open to any page and there is a hot fantasy waiting for you. Not good as a novel, but as inspiration it's priceless.

I wish I'd liked this one better, because it had certain things I appreciated very much, but ultimately, it bored me.

The book starts with what I thought was a silly twit alert. Liz Marsh's fiancé has been acting weird lately, coming home very late from work, and so on, and Liz suspects he might be cheating on her. Before she confronts him, Liz wants to confirm her suspicions, so she decides to hire a PI to follow him around. Through a friend's recommendation, Liz decides to hire Jack Wade. So far so good.

And here came what made me groan: she gets it into her head that she cannot bear to let this PI (who she hasn't even met, remember, and who she suspects will probably be a paunchy, burnt-out old guy) think that she's a loser because she suspects her fiancé could be cheating on her. Therefore, she will dress up sexy (see-through blouse, that kind of thing) so that the guy will think her fiancé is crazy for cheating on such a bombshell of a woman.

Fortunately, the book doesn't continue in the same idiotic vein. Jack, the PI in question, who happens to be young and hot, is so impressed by this sexy lady that he takes the case, even though he's stopped doing adultery cases years ago. He follows the fiancé, sees that he's spending his evenings in a strip club, even going into the private rooms with some of the women, and takes some photos. But since the photos come out a bit too dark and don't convince Liz 100% that the man with the bare-breasted woman in his lap is actually her fiancé, she insists in going to the strip club and seeing for herself.

And here starts Liz's change from shy and proper "good girl" to adventurous sex kitten. She and Jack embark on a journey of sexual exploration, which includes from girl-girl action in the strip-club to a threesome with Jack's best friend, in which Liz is an enthusiastic participant and Jack an extremely supportive and appreciative companion.

I liked that unlike in some other erotica I've read that centers on the heroine stepping out of her comfort zone, I never got the feeling that the hero was somehow pressuring the heroine to do things she didn't feel comfortable with. Not at all: in this case, Liz was the one who took the lead, with Jack enjoying everything very much, yes, but mostly concerned about what Liz would like.

So why 3 stars (I actually gave it a C+ in letter grades)? Well, it's simple. I loved the idea of the heroine exploring her sexuality, but the actual explorations involved didn't work for me at all. Unlike the similar scenes in Emma Holly's All U Can Eat, for instance, I didn't find these scenes particularly erotic or engaging. In fact, except for some very specific scenes (LOL, no, I'm not going to share exactly which!), I ended up pretty bored by most of them. Many, especially those between Jack and Liz, which should have been developing their relationship, I felt very tempted to skim.

As this might indicate, the romance didn't work for me very well. At the end of the book, I didn't buy that Jack and Liz were in love. In lust, sure, but not in love. And the suspense element with Liz's fiancé who refused to let her go was very weak and didn't add much to the story.

Eh, well, at least it was a quick read!

When Liz Marsh hires P.I. Jack Wade to find out if her fiancé is cheating on her, she has no idea she's about to embark upon a sexual odyssey through New Orleans' steamy French Quarter. Raised to be a prim, conservative woman, it takes Jack's sizzling sexuality to make Liz shed her old self and release the secret woman inside her, a woman who seeks every sensual adventure she can find. With Jack on her arm and the decadence of Bourbon Street beckoning, Liz's sexual daring knows no bounds.

(Loved it!)

(excellent erotica)

(Schone is a Surety!)

(The courage to be honest in a difficult time)

(Steamy.)
Schone is back! I loved this book! (Sorry about all the exclamation points...I am excited.) The plot was intriguing. The characters were loveable, and I love the fact that the hero and heroine are a bit older than the "norm." I can't explain how good this book really is. If you are a fan of Schone, then you will love it.
Robin Schone is my favorite erotica author, her words tear at the heart while arousing the body. Deep needs and long-repressed emotions drive the *very* explicit sex in her books. The reader ends up caring a great deal about the older, less-than-perfect characters whose quest for the pleasures of the flesh changes and liberates them. If you're looking for well-researched, realistic as well as romantic historical fiction with lots of super hot sex, give Scandalous Lovers a chance!
I have been a fan of Robin Schone for only one year. In that year I have read all of her books and novellas. With her latest, Scandalous Lovers, she has topped herself. This is a story of mature people discovering desire and love. It is remarkable. I highly reccomend it for the discerning reader. It may be a little too intense for some, so I would suggest perusing her entire oeuvre. Enjoy!
I, unlike others, did not have to wait for this book to be released, as I only became aware of Robin Schone recently (via an on-line interview with Emma Holly). I intended to read Lady's Tutor first as it has received rave reviews, but this book was available in the library so I decided to give it a try. Victorian England is a setting that has little interest to me, but the
