(Worth Every Cent!!!!)
(I GOT A SWEET TOOTH FROM THE CANDY SHOP!!)
(WOW) This book had so many typos that it took away from the story. If possible I would give this book a 2.5. The story itself was just ok. This was my first time reading Kiki Swinson book. This was a great book; definitely a page turner. Now it is time to read "Wifey". I thought it was really dump to give up a great career, loving family for the candy shop. Was it really that good at her old age.
I. Drew I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I thought it was going to be about sex or something of that nature but when I found out it was about drug abuse, I really got into it. Kiki shocked me with the angle she came with this story. It was really good to say the least. And I recommend this one as well as part 3 to Wifey. THIS BOOK WAS PURE FIYAH! I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. YOU GO KIKI, YOU DID A THROW BACK MOVE ON THIS ONE! I'M SURE THERE'S GOING TO BE A PART 2. CAN'T WAIT TO READ IT. It took me a while to finally pick up THE CANDY SHOP. I read it in a matter of days. It was good from the first page to the last. You won't be disappointed. Having no regards for people, their property and even her own life, Faith Simmons has done everything from selling off her lifes fortune, to selling her body, and stealing, all because of her sweet addiction for The Candy Shop. Looking back ten years, who would have ever thought that this well-respected and very well paid thirty-one year old assistant principal for a performing arts school would trade in her six-yearmarriage, a two-story brick home in a gated community and a 2007 Jaguar, for a body riddled with track marks and a substance that gives her a better feeling than sex. When that candy, as she knows it, finally runs out; she resorts to the desperate times calls for desperate measures solution;which will have her playing Russian roulette with the angel of death. And sooner than later, these episodes will catch up with her, so she will be forced to make some life altering choices, but will it be too late? Rerations < The Candy Shop >

(This is a must read!!!!!!!)
(You'll fall in love with Heaven Sent)
(Heaven Sent 2 by Jet Mykles) Hell: The story is cute as the two figure out that yes they are attracted and have common interests. Rather than a standard boy meets boy, boy falls in love with boy. and boy lives happily ever after wtih boy we had extra drama when Brent has dificulty coming to terms with the relationship and his sexuality.
Faith: Faith starts off with a relationship going bad and then a divorce. Through the course of the divorce Darien starts to realize he is attracted to the attorney and by the time the divorce is final he propositions the attorney. As it turns out Chris (the attorney) was hurt in the past and so Darien finally confronts Chris to make him see that Darien does love him and that he isn't the other guy. Finally breaking through Chris's fear he admits that he too loves Darien.
Both stories are very good but I find myself identifying with the second one more. (everybody needs a cute lawyer) If you like M/M then you have to read this book. Please read Heaven and Purgatory first... and don't be put off by any religious connotation. These books are hot and fast paced. I have really enjoyed all of Jet Mykles books, but I love, love, love this series. I first purchased the books individually from Loose Id as e-books but when I had a problem with my computer - and had not backed it up - I ordered these. This series was one I was unable to chance losing. If you like M/M, you need this. I first got to read and fall for the guys of Heaven Sent in e-book form, and when I found out they were being published in hard book form...I ordered them the day they became availble. This second in the Heaven Sent world, has Brent and Daren's stories. You will fall for these lovely rockers, I promise! Hell (Heaven Sent 3) by Jet Mykles Brent is a very talentuous guy, handsome but not beautiful, and not an alpha male. He is happy to lve among his friends and to let them drive his life. He was also the Luc's fuck buddy before push him to Reese, the real love. And he is happy for his friend, but old memories still prevent him to have a real story for himself, memories of girls first, and guys after, who walk across him to reach Luc and Johnnie. He really can't think that someone could love him when he has the change to meet the others.
But then arrives Hell, a cute guy with a cherub face and a demon behaviour. He is short and slim, but has a strong attitude. Even if Brent is greater in body, is Hell who lead their relationship. He doesn't accept a "no" and doesn't want nothing less love. And wants Brent, only for him. And what he wants, he gets.
These are two wonderful characters, who play with the yaoi rule of cute=bottom, tall=top. Hell, believe me, is not a bottom at all, and when he bottoms, he is a pushy bottom! Brent instead is like a real artist, good in his art, his world, but feared by the outside world: he needs someone who drives him and who feels him important and unique.
Faith (Heaven Sent 4) by Jet Mykles Bingo! The last story (I really hope not) in the Heaven Sent series tells us about Darien. He is an hearthy guy, kind and funny, a real next door boy. He wants make no harm, but he feels pretty alone among all his paired friends. So he suddenly decides to marry. But he puts no heart in the matter and obviously thing goes wrong.
Helping him in dealing the divorce there is Christopher Faith, a good friend of Hell. Chris is openly gay, but he doesn't flaunt it around. He is pretty sure of his own and is a quite and handsome guy. Darien is fascinating. He has ever admited that a guy could be handsome, like Johnnie or Luc, but he has never felt something near sexual for them. But Chris is another matter. Darien wants him and can see that also Chris is attracted... so no harm to noone if they enjoy themself, isn't it?
But when things go further than a sexual fling, it is time for Darien to read really inside himself and for Chris to admit that it is not only sex with Darien. With trust and faith they can build something together.
Darien is really tender character. He has not bad feelings, he is really a good boy. Everyone likes him, and I'm no different. You can't dislike him, it is like hating a puppy or a kitten. He looks at you with big eyes and you are smitten. Like Chris.
Chris is a surprise. Giving that Darien is a straight guy that for the first time approaches a man, you expect him to be attracted by a cute and submissive type. Instead Chris is like an old strong oak tree: steady and protective. He can meld with the background but he is impressive. And has a firm hand.
Jet Mykles' stories are really simple and enjoyble but they hook you completely: you can't close the book unless you have finished it. Even if you know that you will find you happily ever after, you have to reach it and enjoy it in a rush and then immediately turn back to reread it!
They're back! The members of the bandHeaven Sentare back in the sequel toHeaven Sent: Heaven and Purgatory.
Heaven Sent: Hell
Heaven Sent gets a hell of new keyboardist with a name to match. Hell Witting is an amazing musician and proves to be the answer to a sound that the band was missing. With lavender hair and big violet eyes, he captivates Brent Rose from the start, and not just with his music.
Brent knows better than to get involved with a member of the band. That just invites trouble and the last thing he wants is trouble for Heaven Sent. So he'll just keep the attraction to himself. Doesn't matter anyway. Hell couldn't possibly want him. After all, Brent's not gorgeous and flashy like the other members of the band.
When Hell makes his interest in Brent all too obvious, Brent is unprepared...and unable...to stay away.
Heaven Sent: Faith
Darien's best friends are the other guys in the rock band Heaven Sent. The three-now four-of them are closer than brothers to him and he's happy that they've all found their life mates. He is. He doesn't at all mind that each of those life mates are men. He doesn't.
In fact, that's just it. Maybe there's something to this gay stuff. He's never been particularly interested before, but after a short, failed marriage, he's willing to open himself up to new possibilities. Especially if one of those possibilities is the gorgeous lawyer who handled his divorce, Christopher Faith.
Trouble is, Chris doesn't seem to want to believe that Darien's serious. Well, sure, Darien's never slept with a guy before, but he's allowed to change his mind. Isn't he?

(More please)
(Nice variety) I've been involved in the D/s lifestyle for several years now, and so I approach these kinds of books with a bit of scepticism and an expectation to roll my eyes a lot.
Not once. Not one roll of the eyes at all. Instead, I found myself nodding a lot. Why? Because the writers she found not only managed to give a good broad range of the types of power exchange, they also did a magnificent job of exploring the motivations. Whether it's the teasing seduction of "Dear Professor Pervert" or the rawness of "A Necessary Correction" the stories cover the gamut.
My own personal favorite though was Kathryn O'Halloran's "Ribbons." I've read it several times over, and the romp through the mind of a submissive is one of the most erotic journeys my mind's ever taken. A great book from a great editor. If you liked RKB's previous femsub/maledom anthology 'He's On Top', you will definitely enjoy 'Yes, Sir'! Again you have a fine, diverse mix of tales; some with premises bordering on the cliche, granted, but pretty much every one delivers on the illicit thrills. Bonus kudos for the awesomely sexy cover, too!! ;) If you want to get your man jump started quickly, read him a story from this book. An excellent book, even my husband likes it.Its a really spicy collection of stories and if you liked He's/She's on top you will love this anthology. There's quite a few good books of erotic short stories around at the moment and they make a refreshing change to the erotic novel. Highly recomended. Also check out 'Succulent Chocolate Flava' by Zane and Suzie Van Aartman's red hot 100 Percent Erotica "Yes, Sir" is a delicious collection of stories that will most certainly appeal to the very, very good, innocent sweet girls as well as the oh so naughty, bratty and testing girls out there.
From discovering that first rush from calling that special someone "Sir" to planning a lunchbreak according to someone else's plans to realizing the only pink allowed is the pink...
Well, you'll just have to read to find out more. And yes, you will want more. And if you ask nicely, you just might be allowed... Actually, my wife has taken to this book while I've become more devoted to the "Yes, Ma'am" collection. There's a little something for everyone here, if you investigate enough you're 'bound' to find something fun. How bad do you want to be bound, gagged, spanked, or slapped? How bad to you want to have your hair pulled, your nipples clamped, your body strung up? How bad do you want to pant, gasp, scream, and squirm? How bad do you want to turn over some part of yourself to a man just dying to strip you bare and take you somewhere you've never been? Here you'll find all sorts of women for whom their own personal "Sir"s (or Masters or Daddies) hold the reins to their erotic pleasure. For them, saying yes (or a bratty, defiant "no" for which they'll be duly punished) is as powerful as a good, hard smack on the ass. They give up control in all kinds of ways, from letting their doms decide who they'll fuck to when they'll come to which color panties are acceptable and which aren't. Playing at "Sir," let's these players take their kinky to a whole new level. Rerations < Yes, Sir: Erotic Stories of Female Submission >

(SEXY BEAST IV)
(three fun erotic shapeshifting romantic fantasies) This was a necessary purchase for me, being a "Wolf Tales" addict :) Chanku Destiny introduces us to Adam&Eve, the newest members of the Montana Pack, as well as giving some very important background information about Oliver. Abundance was a futuristic shapeshifting (jaguar/panther?) story that I personally didn't find all that great. But being part of an anthology often leaves a lot to be desired, since the author doesn't have the time to really clue us in on the whole story. Passion of the Cat was a historical shapeshifting (snow leopard) that was an enjoyable read. Again, it could have been better had the story had the space to build. Another really good erotic read. I read this book in no time, as it flowed easily. Also the sexy scenese weren't too overblown and didn't gag me out. A good, good read. I also liked Dead Sexy: Two Tales of Vampire Erotica. WELL I WANT TO SAY IF I WANT TO READ EROTICA, THIS SERIES IS ONE OF THE BEST THAT I HAVE EVER READ. "Chanku Destiny" by Kate Douglas. The Chanku shapeshifting werewolves are elated to locate two more of their species, Adam Wolf and Eve Reynolds, who deeply connect with one another on a soulmate level.
"Abundance" by Deanna Lee. For over three decades King Jude and his Yaw panther shapeshifters have had no contact with purebred humans until Kayla lands her space ship on their world.
"Passion of the Cat" by Dawn Thompson. In 1810 in the Hindu Kush, when a snow leopard viciously attacks Captain Lyle Claridge, Ihita heals him, but after he goes back to England, the full moon makes him sexually in need.
There three erotic shapeshifting romantic fantasies are well written fun short stories filled with various sexual encounters and a little less other action. The Kate Douglas entry feels like the prologue to the upcoming Wolf Tales VI while the other two are more complete. Sub-genre fans will enjoy these shapeshifters in heat tales.

(Three great stories)
(A hot read for a hot summer!)
(Rate the author, not the publisher!) "Something Wild"
Annie Simon is on her way back to the Black Cat Casino where she once won the jackpot. She's running from her abusive ex-boyfriend, desperate to start over. Annie is traveling from Philadelphia to Louisiana in her beat up truck carrying not much more than an old sleeping bag and a tent.
Jacob Kerr spotted Annie at a restaurant in Philadelphia and has been following her for days. He's got her attention now, but she still won't pull over. He finally gets a chance to talk to Annie when he follows her to a diner and once he does, Jacob is even more convinced that the strong connection he feels toward Annie needs exploring, but Annie needs convincing. Jacob's seductive assault convinces Annie they're great in bed but she's not sure about anything else.
Jacob's tenacity is charming and his forcefulness is sexy. When he combines his dominant side with his tender side, he's irresistible. Annie is strong willed and tough but Jacob's relentless desire crumbles her defenses. "Something Wild" is a fast-paced erotic ride!.
"Meltdown"
Jane Duvall is a headhunter attempting to steal Gary Finely away from Crowne Royalty Group. Jane poses as a writer looking to write an article on luxury accommodations to get inside the hotel. Once there she meets the CEO of Crowne Royalty Group, Michael MacNamara. After a brief tour, Jane and Mac are exploring each other's bodies. As good as it feels between them, Jane feels guilty about lying to Mac. Mac already knows though, and he's not letting Jane go until he's had his fill of her.
What starts out as just sex becomes something much deeper in "Meltdown," and it ends with forever. The story took a turn I wasn't expecting and the intensity of the emotions was wonderful. "Meltdown" is a very erotic romance.
"Touch Me"
Tess Langley is a massage therapist. Jonah Markham is one of her clients. Although Tess is very attracted to Jonah and he's asked her out, Tess declines. She doesn't want to be another notch on his belt. Jonah is determined so he stages a house party to get Tess alone for the weekend. Tess is angry when she find out he lied to her but he convinces her to stay when he promises her a night she'll never forget. Jonah's intense therapy does more than relax Tess. It makes her uninhibited and changes her life.
I love that Tess didn't think she could have a guy like Jonah and that Jonah only had eyes for her. "Touch Me" is full of emotion and sizzling sex.
Jacob, Mac, and Josiah are experts in the art of seduction. They are very male and very sexy. Annie, Jane, and Tess are just the right combination of sweet and strong to handle them. Shannon McKenna always writes fantastic stories with tons of intensity. All About Men is no exception. You get three for the price of one with this anthology!
Nannette reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed i gave the first story 4 stars i really liked it, it seems like it sets the paste for the rest but for me the rest didn't seem that good but it was ok These were three great, steamy stories that have been previously published in anthologies. I think that I actually prefer Shannon McKenna's writing in this format, because you just get the hot romance and none of the crazy, paranoid suspense that you get in her full length novels. The second story was my favorite, then the third, with the first story being my least favorite, but still enjoyable. Happy reading! This book was great. I was a little disappointed with all of the books starting to seem the same plot...and then she threw in a twist. I would highly suggest and can't wait for the next one. Her characters are strong and believable. Now if there were just real live McCloud brothers.... These stories are uber fabulous, and it's so unfair that readers have given Ms. McKenna 2 and 3 star ratings just because of the publisher's choices! I am happy that these have been compiled into one book because it saved me the trouble of having to track them down in the other anthologies, which is what kept me from reading them before (plus the added cost of having to pay for several books). I understand why people are upset that they've purchased books they've already paid for, but it shouldn't reflect on the author's review rating, especially because she has no say in the matter. If you go to her website and click on the link to the book, there are hyperlinks in the description that show you that they're from previous anthologies.
I own every one of her full length books, all of which have the same sexy, heart stopping, and witty writing as All About Men. They go right to the top of my keeper shelf, and so does this one. Rerations < All About Men >

(Still Waiting.)
(20 minutes to make an erotic decision!)
(Light and erotic and an enjoyable read)
(Loved Everything About This Book!!!) I had a feeling I would like this one and I certainly did. Oath of Secuction was fast paced, sexy, kinky, and fun. The premise was original and the characters had a pleasant charm about them.
Apparently, on future Earth, women can do their planetary "duty" and sign up to be a mate for a citizen of Shimeria, an overly male populated planet. Our heroine, Sharon, signed up on a whim, never believing someone would actually come to claim her before her 30th birthday (as is the law). But as the story opens, there is Sharon dressed up and awaiting the Oath Ceremony to take place...warily eyeing Liken, the 6 foor 7 inch stunningly gorgeous alien warlord cop that has come to Earth to claim her.
This is only a trial period. She has three weeks in which she has to live with this man on his planet and decide whether or not it is a true match. She also has three options of the Oath she is about to take: Seduction, Challenge, or Capture. Each with its own set of claiming rules. But there is one thing she doesn't know...no Shimerian male and his mate ever end up filing for incompatibility. It seems all mates are predestined to be with one another.
Sharon chooses the "Oath of Seduction". In her mind it is the safest choice and gives her the time she needs to get used to this guy and hold him off for as long as possible. She soon learns there's nothing that can be done to avoid their bond. They are meant for each other. Liken expertly seduces her with a heart pounding, gasping for breath, shuddering ecstasy that she never dreamed of.
This book will have you slack jawed and panting in no time flat. Enjoy! I love this series. I'm no longer breathlessly waiting on the next book in this oath series. I've applied oxygen and I'm reading other authors current work while watching out of the corner of my eye for "Oath of Capture"( and whining a little bit because I'm so tired of waiting). This author's worth waiting for. A sexy alien, named Liken, shows up to make good a vow Sharon made while a teenager to wed an Alien. Sharon is given about 20 minutes to prepare for her 'pact' when the Alien shows up out of the blue! Then she has three weeks of a 'knowing' period before she has to marry him. This story is very similar to Rejar and Mine to Take, by Dara Joy, in that an Alien is able to sexually awaken an unsuspecting girl.
Liken is a man who is in charge in the bedroom and out! For Sharon this is quite an adjustment.
I loved the part of the story that involved Liken and the other aliens being mind-readers. That made the burgeoning sexual tension between Liken and Sharon delicious. Compare with Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon, where Kyrian is psychic and can read Amanda's growing attraction for him well enough to 'play' her. In this story, Liken knows what Sharon's little fantasies are - you, the reader, can just imagine how much trouble that would be!
I loved that bar-room scene! But the problem was that it introduced what was, to me, a flaw in the story and that is, though both Liken and his brother are cops, and there are lots of allusions to danger in their society, in this one scene, where you had an opportunity for Sharon to get in to serious trouble, it didn't happen. Where was the danger? It is a missing half of the story that stands out in contrast to the romantic tension that is relatively risk free from a physical risk standpoint. It also begged for an explanation because Liken was insistent that Sharon obey him. I would have liked to see a more realistic reason for why those dangers were present.
Be warned, this is a highly erotic book! I bought this book wanting some spicy erotica, and the book delivered exactly what it promised - hot sex in a futuristic fantasy setting. It seemed to be more suited to short-story format, rather than a whole novel. I certainly hope that the sequel will give Chance to opportunity to draw a more complete picture of the Shimerian world.
I liked that face that Sharon, while totally shocked and out of her element, did her best to cope with the changes in her life, even though "going out for a beer" was indeed a stupid romance novel heroine things to do...
All I can say was that the "linking" scene, with Tair, was definitely the hottest part of the book. I can't wait to read more about him in the sequel!
I find it unfortunate that the smaller publishing houses have such difficulties with editing and quality control, but otherwise, this was a light and very enjoyable read. Can I give this book 10 stars?? This book was so sensual and erotic. I loved the whole futuristic theme with aliens from another planet. When I first read the review I thought to myself how corny, but it wasn't. It was interesting and exciting.
There is a shortage of females on this other planet. So the government on earth has agreed to help this other planet out. Some of the women on earth enlist to possibly marry a male from the other planet, they sort of see it like their civil duty (there are alot of stipulations, alot of ways to eventually get out of the agreement). And of course a very small percentage ever gets called to serve. So Sharon enlists while in college thinking her name will never be called, since the odds are against her. Well Liken has called her to duty, and he has a certain amount of time to seduce Sharon before she is allowed to return to earth. His goal is that she will never want to leave.
Liken was your typical alpha male; charming, strong, confident, highly sexual, and of course good looking. She of course resists him at first, but eventually falls for him. I love how Liken's brother was played in. Loved all the parts with him. I can't wait to read his book. This is one steamy book that is not to be missed. E-BOOK BURNED IN ADOBE&MS READER FORMATSSharon took an oath at the idealistic age of eighteen to mate with an unknown alien from another planet, never expecting the alien to actually show up and invoke it eleven years later. A librarian with a love for the orderly and ordinary, she prefers a calm, quiet existence. Surprises are life's way of indicating you did not plan well enough. Adventures are for people with more guts than sense. And sex, well, it's okay, but nothing to get too worked up over... Liken is a warrior cop from Shimeria. He is six feet seven inches of walking, talking sex personified. Having been inside Sharon's head he knows her deepest fantasies, and knows that she is the perfect mate for him. But first he has to seduce her... Rerations < Oath Of Seduction: Seducing Sharon >
