My only gripes are minor: It felt a tad short, though maybe I was just hungry for more. Some people feel that maybe Bower's gone a bit soft, and doesn't hold much clout as a bad guy. Then again, the Mushroom Kingdom isn't exactly a dismal wasteland with heinous villains, so it's really not so bad.
How can you go wrong in a game where you get to command a giant dragon turtle as he fights buildings? You can't. Must-buy.』
(Just Ok!) 『A caveat here, I have not played the game all the way through. I'm not sure that I ever will, though so that's part of the problem. The game just feels so "been there, done that" that's it's hard to say anything good or bad about it. If you played partners in time, you pretty played this game already. Same controls. Same attacks. Same Defenses. Just more of the same. The fact that it takes place>inside Hey look. You could do a lot worse. It's a nice diversion. But do not expect anything particularly new, revolutionary, or super-fun as some of the reviews have suggested. This is not that game.』
(Best darn DS title in years...or less) 『when I got this game I was thinking of it being like Partners In Time, but man, was I wrong. the level of storyline, gameplay, style motions, well...just about everything has made this game so awesome!the only complant I have is not about the game but my DSi. I would call my self a butter fingers, i tend to drop mostly everything I have in my hands, and more recently video game consoles, namely, the DS, after one-two drops the L button just quit then few more drops and the R button cant work now and agian, so, heh bad on my part. the most surprising thig for me was the cameo's of the shroobs! the one shroob in Faful theat-er, i mean Bowser's castle thats in a chair and if you talk to it all it says is '...' i was surprised! and the fight between the shroobs with M&L was cool, although i died institly, ah Luigi had the right idea to run from those evil mushrooms from outer space. The replay value was amazing I accidently deleted my first file and unlke most games for me, it was fun to replay the game, then losing my DSi WITH the game in it, was a loss, but christmas is around the corner so im getting my hopes up Nintendo you have out done your self, thanks』
(Bowser in the spot light) 『Since Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga came out for the game boy advance, this series has continued to keep me coming back for more. And this time we get to play as Bowser, which was enough to get me interested. So what keeps this game going?
It isn't like Final Fantasy where you have epic plots and huge soundtracks to go with it. What makes this game one of the best games ever is that its fun. It has charming stylized graphics, fun little voice overs, puzzles that don't bore you to death, a fun and rather challenging battle system which, though is turned based, keeps the player on his toes by allowing to counter when enemy attacks and making all the special moves unique in design and execution.
This installment even takes the extra mile and adds loads of fun mini games and my personal favorite part, the Mega Bowser boss battles, where you hold your DS vertically and execute all moves on the touch screen.
I found this game to be a little easier than the pervious title, Partners in Time, but that is OK to me because there were moments in Partners in TIme where I thought the difficulty was just too much.
Bowser's inside Story is about 24 hours of game play, but I wouldn't mind revisiting it in the near future. It offers plenty of secrets and special moves and there is even a optional hidden boss. Fans of Partners in Time will be pleased with the optional boss as I was.
All in all this game is constantly mixing it up, keeping it interesting. The battles are fast paced and exciting. The graphics are nice and charming. And beating the sense out of enemies with Bowser has never been so much fun. I give this game five stars out of five. I finished it just in time for the New Super Mario Bros Wii game. Let's hope that game is just as good as Bower's Inside Story.』
(oh man this is the best rpg i ever play) 『if you want a different rpg game take this game , you will enjoy with it.』 『Mario&Luigi Bowsers Story DS』 『
Two stories and gameplay paths that can affect each other in real-time. View larger.
Story The story ofMario&Luigi: Bowser's Inside Storyis an atypical one in the world of Mario and Luigi in that the two plumbers team up with Bowser for the good of the Mushroom Kingdom, even if Bowser is totally unaware of it. As the game opens the Mushroom Kingdom is seen to have been struck by a sort of infection known as "The Blorbs," and exposure to it has caused out of control physical ballooning of the Toads. A council of the who's who in the Kingdom, including Mario and Peach, is assembled to try and figure out what to do about it, when right on queue, in barges Bowser, intent on dragging away Peach. He is stopped and shown the door by Mario, but later is tricked by the villain Fawful to eat a "Lucky Mushroom." Brainwashed by this, he returns to the council where the mushroom causes all the council to shrink to a tiny size and Bowser to literally inhale them. Fawful and his henchmen then set about taking over all of the Mushroom Kingdom, even the parts that Bowser has staked a claim to. Nobody, except maybe Mario, takes what is Bowser's, so there is going to be trouble. Although now very small, Mario realizes a few things. Peach, as usual, has gone missing, Bowser and he are on the same side in this fight and that Bowser will need help. How will Mario save the day this time? That's up to you.Gameplay A single player action RPG, action inMario&Luigi: Bowser's Inside Storyis split between the player-controlled team of Mario and Luigi, trapped in Bowser's stomach, and Bowser himself. These play out as two separate paths of action, constantly overlapping, which players can toggle between and engage in. As they do so players see that Bowser's actions on the outside affect the conditions for Mario and Luigi in his stomach, and the actions of the plumbers can add or subtract from Bowser's abilities. Examples of this are the good and bad things that Bowser swallows that the Bros. must deal with, and conversely the toll an illness the Bros. can affect has on Bowser's physical abilities. Players can see this link for themselves when at times during the game Mario and Luigi are shown on the lower DS screen, while simultaneously Bowser moves in in-game real-time on the top screen. Again, these two paths lead to the same place, the defeat of Fawful. The challenges that players face in doing this is the basis for the RPG gameplay, with players gaining experience points in the challenges that they face, which can be used to level up character-specific fighting and other abilities and even buy in-game gear. Additional gameplay includes puzzle-solving, searching for hidden items, mini-games and more, engaged in as the team of Mario and Luigi, and Bowser on his own.Key Game Features
Two Separate Storylines- One features Bowser and his efforts to stop an arch-villain from taking over his castle. Meanwhile, inside Bowser, the microbe-sized Mario and Luigi must muscle their way through challenges and keep their nerve if they want to find a way out. They take action to control Bowser from the inside– but without his knowledge.
Switch Between Storylines at Will- What happens inside Bowser affects what he’s doing on the outside. Sometimes Mario and Luigi must solve puzzles and challenges behind the scenes to help Bowser overcome various obstacles and advance the plot.
DS/DSi Integrated Gameplay- In some battles, Bowser grows so large that players must turn their Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi system sideways, blow into the microphone or tap on the touch screen with the stylus to keep up with the action.
Distinctive Nintendo Humor- The game features the same hilarious dialogue that has been the hallmark of theMario&Luigiseries.
RPG Gameplay- A players work their way through challenges they can level characters up with experience points.

I know, but but every niece in my family asked for one why not me too. So on the 12-26-08 I got this game so I can play it on my nieces Ds's only with there permission&a promise to re-charge it when I'm done. And on my birthday this year. On Feb I got a crimson red one I wanted the silver. But it was the best gift ever. I now own 9 games, so far. I love puzzles which I'm doing the reviews on this site. (Perfect) 『I bought this Nintendo DS lite for my 4 year old son. I thought he wouldn't be able to understand the game, but for my surprise, he started to play the same day that I gave it to him and buy a week later he plays better than me. This is so easy for children and I'm very happy.』
(I'm Hooked) 『I purchased a DS for my nephew, by brother and my mother. I finally decided to buy one for me. I'm hooked. I have several games to choose from. Some games click and some don't. When you find the one that does it's pretty much addicting. Everything is put on hold until I reach the next level. Get one, you'll love it! P.S. It's not just for those under 30. I'm 50+.』 『The Nintendo DS Lite manages to pack even more fun into a smaller, slimmer body that's less than two thirds the size of the original Nintendo DS.Nintendo DS Lite might be over 20% lighter than Nintendo DS, but it's a lot heavier on features. And before I do the real reveiw, this is great for children that have a DS and liked it but wanted more. Also, if your child wants a DS and/or a camera/recorder then this is great. FIRST, I have a DS Lite and I can compare.
I don't have a DSi, BUT my friends do and I have have played it a lot. Don't think that I have not even played a DSi, I HAVE.
If you are a fan of Nintendo and have a DS or DS lite, you may have had troubles or complients. The DSi is a new better, DS with all of the problems removed. There for, you will have less or no problems at all. And if you do, this is normal and not every product is perfect. The DSi is very fun, as I know of. But I do think Nintendo over prices the toy...! After playing this at my friends, I wanted it for Christmas. Here's a tip, you should play the DSi to see if it's worth the money and if you like it.
Any way, it's a good product over all. Thank you.
From, Raya, nine year old girl.』

The System The Nintendo DSi is a high-powered handheld video game system in a sleek, folding design-loaded with features designed to create a unique gaming experience. Like the DS and DS Lite before it, the DSi features Nintendo's trademark stylus-driven touchscreen technology, but determined to make portable gaming simultaneously larger and smaller in all the right places, Nintendo has also created the DSi with significantly larger screens and an even slimmer body design than its earlier cousins. Other features include the ability to snap photos with built-in cameras, edit and send them to friends, play back your music with Nintendo DSi Sound, or browse the Internet with the Nintendo DSi Browser. From playing games to just playing around, the Nintendo DSi does it all.
Features:
The DSi's Two Digital Cameras The most noticeable feature of the slim Nintendo DSi system are its two cameras - one camera is situated on the external body pointing away from the user, and the second one points at the user when the device is flipped open. As the first truly interactive digital camera in a video game system, the DSi Cameras feature 10 different interactive "lenses" that can manipulate your photos, offering an easy way to take and share your photos with family and friends. The cameras also present people with unprecedented ways to interact with their games, and in the process provide developers with a new tool to devise creative games and experiences. If the touch screen gave Nintendo DS a sense of feel and the microphone allowed it to hear, the two cameras give Nintendo DSi the sense of sight.
DSi Sound Another enhanced feature is the Nintendo DSi Sound application, which serves as both an interactive voice recorder and music player that allows users to play with their music while they listen to it. Users can access different audio filters or control the pitch and speed of recorded voice or music files to alter voices or change the tempo of a song. The mic is located between the two screens when the device is flipped open, and there is also a stereo headphone output that lets users listen to music saved on an SD card, even with the screen shut.
The DSiWare In the world of software, Nintendo DSi will be the platform for the most relevant and fun on-the-go games and applications. The Nintendo DSiWare application will populate Nintendo DSi with software that can be downloaded using Nintendo DSi Points directly to the portable system, just as WiiWare has with Nintendo's Wii console. Developers big and small are invited to create software that makes use of the properties and functions of the hardware. Nintendo DSiWare games and applications will be available at a range of values, starting at 200 points.
Games and Backwards Compatibility In addition to downloadable games, Nintendo DSi is able to play games made specifically for the system and sold at retail. The system can also play most Nintendo DS games, and will have access to a library of more than 850 titles originally made for that system. As an example of the quality of games that DSi players can expect to see both from both Nintendo and third-party game developers, at the launch of the DSi Nintendo is also releasingRhythm Heaven. A wildly popular rhythm game in Japan, where it has sold nearly 2 million copies since its release in mid 2008,Rhythm Heavenfeatures catchy tunes, charming characters, and a wide variety of rhythm games as it makes maximum use of the DSi's functionality.
Facebook Nintendo DSi owners have even more ways to share their experiences with friends and family. Using an Internet-connected Nintendo DSi system and the Nintendo DSi Camera application, Facebook members can take pictures with either of the system's two cameras and upload their photos directly to their Facebook profile. While reviewing pictures they've stored in the Nintendo DSi Camera album, which includes photos taken by users and manipulated using the built-in interactive lenses, users can simply tap the Facebook icon on the system's touch screen to instantly transmit photos to the user's Facebook profile. The user's system must be configured to a wireless broadband Internet connection for the transmission of photos.
What's in the Box Each DSi comes complete with: one Nintendo DSi System, one Nintendo DSi stylus, one Nintendo DSi AC power adapter, an easy start guide, manuals (basic and controls) and a support booklet.

My son grew up on them (he's now 16) and has always beat them. Me? I'm STILL in World 1 level 5 and cannot get through it and have played it all week! I know..I know....it's pathetic.. My hand and eye coordination is truly lacking! I jump when I should dash, I dash when I should jump, I jump farther than I should, or not far enough, jump at the wrong time (timing is very important in this game)...I'm so bad. I've had to get my son to figure out where to go/what to do to move to a different spot when I'm seemingly stranded. He can do it in 2 minutes flat. I think I'm just too old for this game. ;)
The graphics are AMAZING! The giant mushrooms are so much fun and beautiful!....even though I die every time. The spinning tops are a blast! That was one place I was stranded.... on a mushroom and couldn't figure out where to go and my son got me through it in minutes. I'm bad...oh so bad at this game, but if you're a Mario fan, you will probably love it.
I bought my DS Lite to do puzzle games and decided I'd get one Mario game to play. They always "looked" like so much fun. It IS fun, but very frustrating for a novice video game player. I beat Diabolical box in a few days..and 7 Wonders of the World in 2 days.....Mario? I'll NEVER beat this game. I already know that. There's no way I will ever go through the 8 worlds and 8 different levels in each world. I am guessing that each World and their levels get harder and harder....if that's the case, I'm DOOMED!
If you're new to Mario games and know nothing about them, you will be challenged by this...no doubt about it. Just be prepared to be extremely frustrated (I am) and if you're on blood pressure medicine....keep it close by. :) Though I refuse to give up just yet! I am that stubborn. I'll keep on trying and hopefully won't throw my beloved DS Lite against a wall. LOL! (I would never do that ;))』
(Too easy, too short) 『I know that this game has been out for a little while now but I just got around to playing it. I have always been a fan of the Mario games but this one was disappointing. First, I will say that it is too short. I was able to finish this game from start to finish in about 10 hours (over 2-3 days). I felt like I could not thoroughly enjoy it because it was short. Second, it was a little too easy. I will say that I am basing this off of my age so that means that it may be a little more difficult for a child. I was looking for Yoshi and he wasn't there and neither were any costumes. The only power ups you get are big mushroom, small mushroom, fire flower, turtle shell and the star. I will say that it was fun to be a giant Mario (big mushroom) and a micro Mario (small mushroom) but you don't get those power ups often. Another pointless feature is the coins that you have to collect. At the end of the game, with the extra 20 coins you have, all you can get is a background for your menu screen. The bosses are also extremely easy. If you are expecting to get the same feeling as you got when you played Super Mario World (SNES or Advance) or Super Mario 3, you will be disappointed. If you are big Mario fan and are just looking for something new with all the classic characters you may enjoy it otherwise, just rent it, beat it and return it.』
(Mario Bros. Moves!) 『This game is, to say the least, a masterpiece. It builds on the classic gameplay of the older Mario games. I have a cheat for anyone reading this review before I start rating aspects of New Super Mario Bros. Luigi Moves! To play as Luigi and learn new moves, hold down R and L before you select your file. Keep holding on as you push A. You hear a Luigi sound! One of his exclusive moves is an attack in which Luigi jumps higher than usual. Jump once, and as you hit the ground, push A to propel yourself into the air much higher than usual. Graphics:A+ Audio:A+ Controls:A Overall: 5 STARS』
(My kid and mario) 『i just want to say my kid love this game, she is No 1 fan of Mario』
(Great remake!!!) 『Great game ... Lots of fun playing it... I would say it's better than the Original Mario Brothers... EXCELLENT Deal from AMAZON.COM! Thanks!!!』 『New Super Mario Bros DS It is been more than 20 years since Super Mario Bros. first arrived, and now Mario and Luigi are back in an all-new platformer for Nintendo DS. Boasting incredible 3D graphics to accompany classic 2D gameplay, this fast-paced adventure will have Mario fans cheering as they make their way over fields, under water, through castles and into the air. New Super Mario Bros. is loaded with features and characters that could only exist in the Mushroom Kingdom, including all-new power-ups like the Blue Shell, in which Mario can ride, and a massive Mushroom that makes him ultra-huge. Not only that, but players can link wirelessly with a friend to play as both Mario and Luigi in multiplayer mode.』 『
Story The storyline ofNew Super Mario Bros.is simple, but 100% classicMario Bros.During a tranquil walk with Princess Peach, Mario witness a lightning strike on Peach's castle. Mario predictably races off to lend a hand, but no sooner has he stepped away from the always popular Peach, than he sees Bowser Jr. step into the picture and drag her away. As mario pursues them throughout both overworld and underworld, the appearance of Bowser and the Koopas shows that the list of fiends opposing him is longer than he expected. But Mario is not one to be put off by such things. Come along with Mario, Luigi and other friends as they venture into the depths of the Mushroom Kingdom to get Peach back once again.Gameplay AlthoughNew Super Mario Bros.is a modern addition to theMario Bros.tome, it revels in the fact that it is an old school side-scrolling platformer through and through. The single player mode is set on 80 levels spread across eight worlds, with players assuming the role of either Mario or Luigi. As in allMario Bros.games, the ultimate goal is to rescue Peach, but as players traverse game levels the immediate goal is to collect coins, hop on top of enemies, and break open blocks while searching for power-ups as you race to capture the flag at the end of each level. Each of the game's eight worlds climaxes with a boss battle tied into the abduction of Peach, in which players will need to utilize the game's six power-ups in order to have success.Along with its single player modeNew Super Mario Bros.for DS also features two different multiplayer modes. The first is the Mario vs. Luigi, 2-player competitive mode. Here it's brother vs. brother in a literal race for Stars. Players choose to play as either Mario or Luigi, with the goal to collect the Stars that appear throughout the stage at timed intervals. If one brother gets a star(s) first they can be stolen away by the other player by doing damage. The one who gets to the set number of stars wins. This mode uses local wireless DS Single-Card download play, so only one game card is needed. The other multiplayer mode revolves around mini-game play. There are variety of these, which can be engaged in on a one-on-one basis, or in tournament fashion with 2-4 players. The Power-ups. New Super Mariofor DS contains contains six power-up options. Three of these, the Super Mushroom, the Fire Flower and the Starman are back from previous games. There are also three entirely new to the game, these being: the Blue Koopa Shell, which Mario can crawl into to protect himself and spin when inside it to attack enemies; the Mega Mushroom, which allows for a huge Mario; and the Mini-Mushroom, which makes Mario very small and able to get into places that wouldn't otherwise be available.Key Game Features
Old-School Platforming Fun- Jump, bounce and power-up through visually stunning side-scrolling worlds filled with Mushroom Kingdom madness.
New Action- Grab a Mega Mushroom and grow to incredible proportions, or smash through your foes in a blue Koopa shell.
2 Distinct Multiplayer Modes-New Super Mario Bros.features competitive 2-player multiplayer and mini-game functionality supporting up to 4 players.

The kids get to use critical thinking to problem solve their way through this game. More points(ollars) are awarded when they use new objects or non violent items. Ok- I have to admit, I have stayed up more than one night playing this game in my bed before drifting off to sleep. I would buy a new one of these in a heartbeat. So- if you want a fun game that boosts your kids critical thinking, writing skills, etc- this is the game for you!』
(Help your child to spell while they have fun!) 『My 10 year old who has ADD is lagging in the area of spelling (doesn't keep his attention at all, and he routinely speeds through words v. slowly pronouncing each syllable to get to the proper spelling of a word). He thoroughly enjoys this game (despite its lack of star wars, etc. intense action) and I, as a parent, am thrilled that it is helping with his spelling, a problem area for him. Scribblenauts has been great for making him stop, slow down, and think out the spelling of his words. As others/the trailer mentioned, one can spell out all sorts of articles/items of one's choosing which then appear in the game for your use (think Bazooka, lolly pop, anvil, etc.) My son doesn't fuss or get discouraged at all about having to spell while playing this game, and is having fun learning through creative play! Enjoyable learning game, highly recommend it.』
(it's alright) 『the game is alright. you can't do anything inappropriate :( it's kind of hard, after a few days i ran out of things to write, you can't do anything copyrighted, you can't write proper nouns. Get Drawn to Life instead.』
(Witty) 『My niece says she's having a hard time finishing the game, but at least she is having a unique kind of fun. I personally haven't played it, but I can say that my niece is enjoying every puzzle of Scribblenauts.』
(fun but has issues) 『This is a fun game. One problem I have found and I need to call the number on back of gamebox and tell someone about it. My game freezes on a part of the 3rd level. On the one where you have to take the cow to the pasture so the cars can go by. Everytime I get the cow over there the whole screen freezes up and I have to shut my DS off and restart it. Luckily you can just skip this puzzle. I havent come across this again, but then I am only on level 5 now. Other then that it is fun to play.』 『Scribblenauts is a completely original gameplay experience that anyone can play, offering fun for all ages with two styles of gameplay and more than 200 levels. In Scribblenauts, players use the Nintendo DS touch-screen to help their character Maxwell acquire the Starite in each level by solving a series of puzzles armed with their stylus, notepad and imagination. Players jot down the word for any object that comes to mind in order to reach the goal. Every object behaves as it would in the real world, and players can combine countless objects to create completely new scenarios. Every level has more than one written object to use as a solution, opening up the game to endless replay. In Scribblenauts, players advance through ten worlds, each with eleven puzzle and eleven action levels for a total of 220 challenges to complete. Each level has a“par” for the number of objects suggested to finish the level. Beating a level with under par, earns “Ollars”, the in-game currency, which players can use to purchase new levels and music.』 『
Gameplay Based around 2D side-scrolling action and word play, the premise ofScribblenautsis simple; quite literally, anything you write, you can use and reuse in the game. Players use the DS' touch-screen and the in-game notepad/keyboard to help their character, Maxwell, as he moves throughout 220 increasingly difficult levels on his never-ending quest for the star-like "Starites." But it is not as easy as reaching up and plucking a Starite. Attaining them requires Maxwell to solve spatially oriented puzzles. To do this players describe objects via the notepad/keyboard, which in turn appear on the game screen and facilitate the starite making its way to Maxwell.
(Good for the price!) 『After searching for a DSi everywhere, I found this to be the cheapest place to get a NEW (excellent) DSi, even when adding the shipping costs. It arrived to Puerto Rico just in time for my niece's Bday and my niece loved it!!』
(Great Videogame Console) 『I bought this for my son but now I want mine too !! Nintendo DSi is the best ! Fun games, Camera, Music, Internet, all in one little device. Highly recommended.』
(Great pacifier...) 『Excellent choice, when my daughter (8) starts nagging, I give her dsi and she calms down for an hour or so, just like when she was a baby and I gave her her pacifier.』
(Great handheld entertainment) 『This is a lot of entertainment. There are lots of products for all ages to be played on the DSi. I am a grandmother and wanted some winter inside fun.』 『Nintendo pioneered handheld entertainment in the '80s and famously made it fully mobile and accessible to millions around the world with the Game Boy and DS video game systems. Now, Nintendo is taking things to the next level by transforming the way people access, experience, create and share content with the new Nintendo DSi system, the third iteration of the world's best-selling portable video game system.

As an example of the quality of games that DSi players can expect to see both from both Nintendo and third-party game developers, at the launch of the DSi Nintendo also releasedRhythm Heaven.

(boring and fun) 『this game is very fun at first. after a while it gets boring I had the game for about a mouth no and it is only ok.I never talk about the game so that means I dont realy likeit. my mom dosnt even know I own it.』
(Not Good.) 『Watch the description of your purchases from this provider. The product I bought said "New", but when I received it the box as all scratched up and was not shrink wrapped. When I asked the provider about this, I was told that the game cartridge itself was new. My boys played this game and the screen keeps freezing up on it...Not something that would happen on a "New" game from the store. Just be careful what you buy. I learned that it's better to spend a few extra bucks and get it from a store where I can see what I'm buying!!!』
(MarioKart) 『I am a mario fan so I decided to buy this game when I saw it, I was very impressed, its box was in good condition and the game overall looked good, the instructions were simple and easy to read The new tracks were fun to ride on I liked the new things, there were some new items that are great, they added the bullet bill and took away the chain monster. You can choose between different carts each of them having different things like weight, speed, acceleration, items, drift, and handling. This is a very fun game』

Not yet released 『The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is an action/adventure game for the Nintendo DS and DSi that sets Link, the iconic hero of the Legend of Zelda series, on a daring new adventure. The game provides players with a new story, more puzzles, a new mode of transportation--by train--and a new companion in combat, the Phantom. Together these offer up new possibilities for problem solving, adventure and fun to both longtime and new fans of the franchise alike.』 『
Propulsion and Problem-solving One of the most prominent features ofThe Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracksis the ability to travel by rail throughout the game. When Link conducts the train, players enjoy a satisfying combination of action and real-time puzzle solving as they determine which track to take and how to best manipulate their speed. When on the train, Link must plot the best route to the end of the line around ever-moving obstacles. While en route, Link might need to fire an onboard cannon at enemies who attack the train or sound the whistle to scare animals off the tracks.
New adventure, a new means of transport, and a new companion. View larger.
The Phantom InThe Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Link has a valuable new companion in combat and puzzle-solving, the Phantom. A faceless knight in a hulking suit of armor with immunities to dangerous elements like fire and magma, the Phantom responds to Link's directional commands. Players can simply tap the Phantom with their stylus to take command of him, then draw a line on the touch screen to direct him where to go. He will engage enemies automatically when he comes within range of them. The stout Phantom can also be used as a platform to carry Link above and over dangers, or even run interference to block Link from harm or help finish off an enemy.New In-game Items Spirit Tracksalso introduces a variety of new items and weapons toThe Legend of Zeldafranchise. One of the most notable is the Whirlwind, which Link uses to move items and overturn enemies. Players activate this by blowing into the microphone of the Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi system. Other new items include a whip, useful both in combat and in platforming, as well as his train's cannon, which can shoot bombs into the distance.Map Functionality As withThe Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, inSpirit Tracksplayers can look forward to helpful interactive map functionality. The game map appears on the system's top screen, as opposed to the action on the bottom, and players can draw notes on the in-game maps using the stylus on the touch screen. This allows players to quickly mark spots in the game world of note for later exploration, or to note them as already explored.
