(Addictive)

(Fun fun fun...)

(Peggle)

(Fun game)

(Have you Peggled today?)
If you like Bejeweled you will like this game. I have found that this game is very addictive.
I first bought this game for the iPod touch so when I found it for the DSi I bought it right away. Graphics are not as clear as the touch, but still the great game play. Of course, I spent 400 for my iPod and 170 for the DS so I'm not too upset about the inferior graphics. The DS cartridge has an additional game with different arrays of pegs so there is twice as much play. Highly recommended for the over 30 set (like me).
This is a great game. I played a version on my daughter's iPhone and was immediately hooked. The graphics are nice, with bright colors, and each level offers different helps. The stylus is used, which I like. If you enjoy (or grew up during) the Pin Ball era, this game is for you.
This is a fun game to pass the time. The learning curve is very easy. There are some later levels that take some precision or luck to pass, but it is fun. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
I love Peggle. I have played both PC versions of this game and was so happy when Peggle came out for my DS. Now I can take the game with me where ever I go. With the DS game you get both versions; Peggle and Peggle Nights on one game cartridge. Very addictive game. I can not get enough of Peggle!
Wield mystifying Magic Powers, rack up huge bonus points and make shots you'll smile about for weeks. Amidst all this fevered action, only one question remains: Can you become a Peggle Master?
Do you have what it takes to become a Peggle master? Found out as you navigate a series of ball-bouncing challenges inPeggle Dual Shotfor Nintendo DS from PopCap Games and lauded developer Q Entertainment. You'll need luck and skill on your side to score your best as you bounce balls, perfect tricky shots, and engage with real Masters in this action-packed, family-friendly game.

Big, Arcade-Style Challenges for Strategic Thinkers
Fans of the Peggle PC series will quickly recognize the forces at work in this chaotic, pachinko-style pinball game. You'll need to practice using the stylus to fine-tune your aim while calculating the perfect moment for each release, and you'll get a rush out of sending balls flying at strategically located bricks, pegs, and obstacles to score points and conquer a broad array of challenges. The advanced physics of previous Peggle games is now at work in this DS edition, which means the trajectory of each bouncing ball is calculated in real time, and the results of a shot may change if your aim is off by even one pixel. The precision of your angles also means that there's quite a bit of math-practice hidden in what seems like a purely entertaining game. Watching what happens after you let the ball go is a big part of the fun, since even the most skilled players are sure to get a few tantalizing, unlikely bounces each round.

All-New Underground Challenges
One place fans of the PC-based Peggles won't have a leg up is facing the parts of this game that are set in the Bonus Underground -- an exclusive, DS-specific addition to the Peggle universe. All in all, with 120 levels, two full-featured adventure modes, and 90 challenge stages to try and conquer, you can be sure thatPeggle Dual Shotbrings more than it's fair share of challenges to the portable NDS system. There's even a duel mode that lets you go head to head with the computer or take on a friend and establish grounds for bragging rights.

Unique Artwork and Magical Masters
In the course of your training, you'll also enjoy the backdrop set by a colorful, fantastical world, and you'll meet ten unique Peggle Masters. From Bjorn, the Super Guide unicorn, to the Renfield Pumpkin, master of Spooky Ball, these quirky, personable characters have their own specialties and magic powers, adding depth and a little bit of back story accent the strategic elements of each contest. And the unique, illustration-inspired artwork is packed with bold colors that really ground the Peggle's magical feeling in a world all its own.

(PUZZLE CRAZE)

(Puzzle After Puzzle Older Gamers Would Like)

(Great Game!)

(Good Puzzle Game but over priced)

(puzzle craze)
I like word puzzles so I brought this game. It has four different types of puzzles which are: Quick Cross, Word Roundup, Hidato, and Up&Down Words. With each puzzle type, they give you 400 different puzzles, which will give you a variety and take plenty of time to do.

Quick Cross- I think this is like a little crossword puzzle. I don't like crosswords much, but maybe if I play this I will get used to it.

Word Roundup- These puzzles are the reason why I brought this game. Word Roundup is like a word search, but it doesn't give you a list of words to find, it gives you clues such as: find 4 states and you have to find the words that go with the clue. I'm a wordsearch lover and I mostly brought this Puzzle Craze game for this puzzle.

Hidato- This is a type of number game where they give you a grid and you have to fit the numbers 1-96 into it by putting them in order either: up&down, vertically, horiztonally, or diagonally. It can get confusing at times.

Up&down words- I think this is also a type of crossword but I think you have to have an answer that will go with the next clue, probably confusing, but maybe once I try it I will know what I'm doing.

After you finish each type of puzzle you earn stars and it will improve your ranking in the game.

I think this game is cool if you like these types of puzzles, but as I said I only brought this game mostly for the word roundup since I'm a wordsearch lover.

this game is a lot of fun and I think a lot of older DS players will enjoy it.There are four different types of puzzles to play, Up and Down words, Word Roundup, Quick Cross and a new one for me Hidato. Up and Down is fun where you have to choose a word that will tie into the next questions answer. Word roundup is like seek a word except you are given a hint to what the words are such as " 6 Breeds of Dogs" you have to find the six....it can get a tad hard..Quick Cross is a fast game where you have to put in 8 words like a corner of a crossword puzzle. Hidat0 is a number game and I must admit I get confused but it is fun and challenging. I am an older DS player, 64, and this is a good game for all of us who like word games. It is very relaxing. Even though you are timed it doesn't give you that rush rush feeling. I play this game every evening when I sit down to relax.
I love this game!

I've enjoyed doing Word Roundup, Quick Cross and Up&Down Words in the daily USA Today for ages. Here, each category of game has 400 puzzles, so it'll take a while to get through them all.

While I know nothing at all about Hidato, and wish they'd included crossword puzzles instead, I would definitely recommend this game. Besides - there's always a possibility of finding that I enjoy Hidato, as well!

This is a nice puzzle game but walked into a store today and seen it $5 cheaper than this purchase price. Do different than me and shop around for a while before you purchase this.
Since I am an older woman I really like the puzzle games and wish you had more--Would like on like CrossWords only with all Sudoku
Following up last year's crossword game, USA Today Puzzle Craze offers several different games to choose from. Arriving this fall, you might want to pick this up if you enjoy puzzles, USA Today, or both.

(a pleasant surprise)

(Beautiful game!)

(Big Bang Fun)

(Love Those FIRE WORKS!!! ****)

(Big Bang Mini lives up to its name!)
This is one of those games that I picked up out of the $20 or less bin in the electronics department. I was a little skeptical at first because it was really hard to get an idea of what the game was about just by looking at the case, and the description on the back didn't say much about it either. But the flashy design suckered me in and I'm glad it did!

The is a shooter-style game, similar to the arcade games of the 80's. And just like the arcade games of the 80's it's VERY addicting. Although the concept of the game is simple (use your stylus to shoot fireworks at enemies which appear on the top screen), the overall challenge as you progress from level to level is intriguing to the point that you don't want to put the game down. The game also encompasses a vibrant array of colorful graphics that are quite appealing. Each level displays a different theme with it's own set of visuals different from the other levels. As you advance through the levels, the game becomes increasingly harder, and you are introduced to upgrades to give the game plenty of variety. There are also bonuses when you complete each level and unlock modes based on your play-performance, so you get a lot out of the game in every aspect.

This game is well worth the money spent and will keep you entertained for hours. Younger children might find it too hard once they get past the first couple levels, but there is no denying the exciting appeal this game will bring to anyone who picks it up.

I bought this game because I was curious after reading the reviews. I'm glad I did. It is simple to learn, and stunning graphics. I get a little dizzy watching it, but it really is a fun game and pretty unique. Cross between an asteroid type shoot-em up game and centipede... but with beautiful graphics.
This game is so much fun. I thought at first... how boring. You just hit and blow up things. Well the first level was easy and as I progressed, I found myself spending hours playing this game. My husband couldn't understand why I was addicted to this game. After he deleted my game (on accident) to make his own (which this is the only downfall to this game) he found it even more addicting then I did. He would take it to work with him, and he told me that he was stuck at a light and started playing, when the light turned green, he pulled over to finish the level. He takes it with him everywhere, and when I say everywhere, I mean it. Must have.
Ok, I first purchase this game a month ago. I read the reviews and figured, how could I go wrong with this game. Although I am 40 something,
I still totally, totally love this game I can't stop. Its automatic addiction. I'm still working on it every chance I get. Do yourself a favor and give it a chance. It's totally worth the price of admission.
Oh and I must mention that another reviewer suggested playing this in the dark. Great suggestion. I do, all the time... Enjoy!! (thanks for the tip)

This games makes reaching the next level exciting and challenging. I will be playing this game for months to come!
Use your firework arsenal to blast your way through this arcade style shooter! This fast-paced shoot 'em up puts a new spin on classic arcade style gameplay allowing you to blast down hordes of imaginative enemies with explosive fireworks launched at the flick of your wrist. Maneuver your ship through the enemy fire and falling debris as you collect stars from vanquished foes to advance towards big boss battles. A number of special powers will be made available as you move from one exotic locale to the next where one wrong move or one missed shot could be your last.

(imagine teacher...great ds game for 2nd grader)

(GREAT GAME!)

(......)

(Short but Fun)

(Imagine Teacher is Great!!)
My 8 year old loves to play "teacher" around the house. She saved up money to buy this ds game, and I really like it too. At first, it seems like "no-brainer" activities, but the game progresses as you go along. It's actually rather challenging and has educational value. Cute idea.
I bought this game a couple of months ago and I still play it quite often since I bought the game. In this game, you play as a teacher who has just moved into a small town where the town's first school has recently been built. You start off with 4 kids which gradually grows into 12 kids over multiple chapters of the game. In this game, you teach the students art, music, geography, history, biology, reading, writing, and you also get to go on field trips. You get to organize the order of the classes, have school meetings, and grade the student's papers as they earn stars. When I say teaching the classes I should say that you're actually doing the the classes such as geography, biology, etc. You also get to seat the students in the classroom, and teach private night classes to the students who need more stars. Instead of grades, the students earn stars. You also have to sweep the classroom and rearrange the desks. This game can last over a long period of time and overall I think this game is worth it's price. I'd recommend it to all ages. Imagine Teacher is a GREAT GAME! I highly recommend it to everyone!
I really enjoy this game, mostly because I want to be a teacher so it's like "Educational practice". The only downside is every day you "teach" the games you play become repetitive.
I got my 11 year old daughter this for Christmas. Since then she has replayed it at least 10 times. This game is very fun and she and her friends love it, but it's very short and you can finish it in about a day. I'm not a teacher but I think it would be good if you wanted to become a teacher. You start out with 4 students and each week you get one more. You play mini games to teach the students. The mini games cover Science, Social Sudies, English, and Art. Each student has their own cute little personality. My daughter loves this game and I reccommend this to everyone who wants to be a teacher.
Imagine Teacher is a great game, despite all the bad reviews. In the game, you are a teacher at a new school. You only start out with four students but as you progress through the game, you gradually get twelve. At the beginning of the week, you make a schedule. Then every school day you teach two subjects such as arithmetic, biology, geometry, geography, history, writing, reading, drawing, pottery, and music. First you read out of a book by rubbing and tapping the pictures that appear on the pages. Then you teach the class the subject by completing various mini games. The mini games get harder as you move through the game. After you teach the class, you correct their papers which is a lot of fun. The students get stars when they do good and hearts when they like it more at school. Imagine teacher is life like because some weeks you get to take the kids on field trips to the zoo or museums. Also, you can clean the classroom and customize it with different posters, desks, and pieces of furniture. You could buy these things with the money you get payed. At the end of the week there is a teacher meeting where you discuss how you did that week, get payed, and get your assignments for the next week. One assignment is that every week you have to focus on a different subject (art, science, social studies, or literature). That week you would have to teach four classes of the subject. Another assignment is that some weeks you have to tutor certain kids in certain subjects after school.

All in all the game is a lot of fun. Students have their own personalities and as you progress through the game you become a wonderful teacher. I want to be a teacher when I grow up so this game was extra fun for me. I rated this game for five stars!

Imagine Teacher allows players to become a teacher at a brand new school. Teach your class a variety of subjects and increase your students' knowledge. Become a successful teacher, recruit new students and develop your school into one of the very best.

TheImagineline goes back to school

Play as a rookie teacher who takes over a class in a newly built modern school. At the beginning your class only has a few kids because most of the kids in town are used to going to a school located in the next town over. It is your job to bring those students back to make your classroom and school the best place to learn. The game really begins when you meet some characters who don't want you to succeed.

Key Features

  • Increase your students' knowledge via fun mini games-Teach them writing, science (math&biology), culture (geography&history). Develop their artistic skills like music, drawing, and pottery. Celebrate events including birthdays and the end of the year party.
  • Help your students find their true vocation
  • Pay attention to your students' behaviors to manage their mood and create the best learning atmosphere-All kids have their own personalities and favorite subjects. Create a seating chart in the classroom to prevent them from chatting, being a distraction or fooling around.
  • Create the school of your dreams-Buy or collect new items to upgrade your classroom and school
  • Interact with many different characters-Not only do you take care of your students, but talk to their parents and school staff.

(My son loves this game.)
My 9-year-old son loves this game. He says:

"This game deserves an award. There is a lot of action. You get a lot of powers, but you have to unlock them. You get powers from different characters; I got one from Amelia Earhart and one from the little Western guys. I like to ride on the robotic pterodactyls. The plot is really good. If you like games based on movies, this is the game for you."

Get ready for a story so epic it could only unfold in the corridors of the worlds largest museum - the Smithsonian Institution. Museum guard-turned entrepreneur Larry Daly discovers that his favorite exhibits, and some of his best friends, from New Yorks Natural History Museum are being shipped off to the archives at the Smithsonian. Larry gets a distress call from the miniature cowboy, Jedediah, reporting that Egyptian ruler Kahmunrah and a trio of heinous henchmen - namely Ivan the Terrible, Napoleon and Al Capone - are plotting to take over the museum, then the world. Speeding to the nations capitol, Larry is clearly in over his head. But with some impressive new pals, including the irrepressible Amelia Earhart, along with familiar friends Teddy Roosevelt and Octavius, Larry will stop at nothing to restore the Smithsonian before dawn.

Story
Set in London in 1899, inSherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Mummythe famous detective comes to the aid of Elizabeth Montcalfe. In mourning, and unable to accept Scotland Yard's conclusion that her father, the famous British Archeologist Lord Montcalfe, committed suicide in a recent fire, she is convinced that there is much more to the situation than a suicide and that her father may even yet be alive. Determined to find the truth, whatever it may be, Holmes sets about exploring the expansive Montcalf mansion and its rooms packed full of the Egyptian artifacts and treasures that Lord Montcalfe collected over the years.

Gameplay
The first appearance of the popularSherlock Holmesgame franchise on the Nintendo DS platform,The Mystery of the Mummyis a single player port of game developer Frogwares' PC game of the same name. On accepting the challenge of solving the mystery behind Lord Montcalfe's "disappearance," players set about exploring his Victorian mansion and searching for clues within its many rooms, levels and amongst the Egyptian artifacts that are strewn about. Holmes sees things from a first-person perspective, both horizontally and vertically. This means that players can explore almost everywhere within the game's 3D rendered environment. This is easily done using the DS stylus by tapping and dragging the touchscreen to the spot that you want to go. The stylus also facilitates exploration just as easily through a tap and hold movement that will identify any interactive opportunities within range of the stylus. Once a sleuthing opportunity has been identified the onscreen pointer will change to a magnifying glass, which with an additional tap will allow for an enlarged view.

Clues are automatically added to the onboard inventory panel, located on the DS' top screen and accessed via the 'L' and 'R' buttons. Found items are also added to the inventory and can be used in specific situations and in some cases combined to create a new valuable item. There is space within the inventory panel for notepad functionality that allows players to compose theories and keep track of game events as they like. Finally the game also contains an ongoing series of point and click mathematical, visual and memorization based brainteasers. These serve both to drive the game forward and as side play opportunities away from the main mission. These puzzles vary in difficulty, but with the game's integrated help system players can be assured that they will never be stuck.

Key Features:

  • Inspired by the writings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and his famous super sleuth Sherlock Holmes.
  • A wonderfully appointed, atmospheric and graphically detailed mansion gameplay environment.
  • Numerous interesting objects and clues to search for, collect and use during gameplay.
  • Point and click mathematical, visual and memorization brainteasing puzzles.
  • Integrated help system so players are never hopelessly stumped.
  • Basic item creation functionality to facilitate interactive gameplay.

(Far exceeded my expectations)

(Music composition made portable and easy.)

(Intuitive and fun to play with)

(Korg DS10)

(Unbelievable!!!!)
Amazing, just about as versatile as the real thing - you can hook it up to your computer's line in, record multiple tracks, add effects etc... for $27. I just can't get over the value this software brings. Seriously - if your looking at synth software for your mac or pc, you should try this out.
Don't want to plunk down the money for a real KORG synth or a KORG Kaossilator, but you do have a Nintendo DS (or DSi)? Get this game, the sound quality of the virtual synth is nothing to write home about, but the virtual synth has just about every knob and switch you commonly see on real synths. So learning how to configure this virtual synth effectively teaches you how to configure a real synth. Next, it features a very nice sequencer that lets you edit patterns and songs easily. It also supports using multiple DS units in tandem (up to a total of 4) to increase the number of voices if you so desire. Each DS would require a copy of the "game" obviously in that setup. I really do enjoy using this so as to pass time constructively rather than passively when waiting for this or that. The only real draw back to it is the rather small number of patterns you can use in a song, that being only 16 patterns, with at most 16 notes per pattern. So if you need some longer patterns you have to split your long patterns into two or more smaller patterns each, this can really eat into the effective number of patterns. It would also have been nice if it would have supported saving songs and sessions to the SD card on the DSi, but it doesn't, then again, I don't know of any DS game that would.
As soon as I turned on the Korg DS-10 I started playing music, and I couldn't stop for hours! I was very impressed by how intuitive it is and easy to use. Very powerful and extremely fun to make music with.
I wasn't expecting some of the features like the KAOSS pad, so I was surprised. Electronic music is not my strength, but I wanted to get this program to start learning more about synthesizers. I am glad I got it, and it is already helping me understand the nuts and bolts of synths in a entertaining way. I am a composer and I am already planning on using the korg DS-10 as one of my professional music making tools.
It will keep you entertained and busy for days.

the Korg DS 10 has let me finish a piece of music that's been waiting for 8 years for this application

thanks,

Richard s.

The Ds-10 is amazing. Of course it's limited, it's not a huge workstation or Triton, but within the limits it's incredible what it can do. Ever since I got my DS Lite I daydreamed about the musical potential of the system- never expecting to see it in reality! I jam on this thing, sometimes for hours...

The KORG DS-10 is music-creation software for the Nintendo DS that combines the superior interface of the Nintendo DS with the functionality of the famous MS-10 synthesizer. The sound sources in the KORG DS-10 come from KORG - one of the world's top musical instrument producers - and no effort was spared in creating these ultra-high-quality sounds. The Nintendo DS Touch Screen controls are used to the fullest to provide unsurpassed feel and operability. This innovative musical tool is perfect for aspiring musicians and professionals alike. In addition to the two analog synth simulators and drum module, a 6-track/16-step sequencer enables precise control and provides a wide range of musical possibilities. Up to eight units can be connected and played together through a wireless link, and this and other features make the Nintendo DS and KORG DS-10 almost limitless in their application - they can take you places that no single synthesizer can.
Whether you are just looking for fun on the run, or a way to work out your next hit song, the KORG DS-10 Synthesizer for Nintendo DS could be your newest best companion. The DS-10 combines the superior interface of the Nintendo DS with the design concept of the famous KORG MS-10 synthesizer to bring you portable music-creation software without rival.

KORG DS-10 Synthesizer brings portable music creation to the Nintendo DS.

Various sound textures are made possible by implementing the two VCO's, three filter types, and more.

Notes that you perform can be recorded in the sequencer, allowing for further editing.
A Professional-Grade Synthesizer in the Palm of Your Hand
The ultra high-quality sound sources for the DS-10 come from KORG, maker of some of the world's finest musical instruments. Korg spared no effort in creating this ultra-portable yet powerful and easy-to-use music software with tons of the latest features-- and all with the unique accessibility of the Nintendo DS touch screen.

The KORG DS-10 Synthesizer gives you the choice of sculpting your own unique sounds with expansive on-screen controls, or starting from a preset template. With two dual oscillator synth parts and four synth/drum parts, users can create synth and drum lines using the on-screen touch keyboard and drum pads, or engage the elegant six-track, 16-step sequencer.

With powerful features such as KORG's KAOSS technology, users can add custom modulations in real-time, tighten the mix with a full-featured mixer, polish their grooves with multiple effects, and create complete songs that they can save on the spot.

The DS-10 features a chorus, flanger, and delay parameter that can be applied individually to each synth or the drum machine, either individually or as a whole. In addition, each of the editable drum sounds can have a separate effect added to it. Various sound textures are made possible by implementing the two VCO's, three filter types, and more, while notes can be recorded in the sequencer, allowing for further editing. This broad functionality, combined with patching functionality, makes the DS-10 suited to even the most avid sound designers.

Intuitive and Easy Use
The sounds made by each of the two analogue synthesizer emulators are modified using virtual knobs, and users can patch particular parameters for further modification. The user interface is mainly through the DS's touch screen. Notes can be played using a two-octave keyboard, or through an interface that detects the X and Y position of the stylus on the touch pad, simulating a KORG KAOSS Pad.

The Nintendo DS's dual-screen touch panel is used to the fullest to provide a feel and operability that is unsurpassed. Although there are many expert-level features available with synthesizer, the DS-10 can be appreciated by the complete novice as well as the seasoned professional.

Music Without Limits
The KORG DS-10 Synthesizer offers two types of wireless play in Multi-player and Data Exchange modes. Up to eight separate Nintendo DS players can connect via a wireless link to perform as an ensemble. Each DS-10 synthesizer can be played as its own independent instrument, or they can be assigned a part to create a band, allowing for virtually limitless applications.

What's more, users who have created new riffs, tunes, or complete songs can exchange their session data with other KORG DS-10 users. It is even possible to send session data in advance to your friends, so you can all play to the same tune. Not only does the DS-10 bring stylus music to the world for the first time, but this robust connectivity allows for performances and compositions that simply aren't possible on a single Nintendo DS.

The keyboard and KAOSS pad can be played directly with a stylus.

(Not so good.)

(A must have item.)

(Works great!)

(Great deal!)

(Does the job...but isn't there anything better than this?)
I purchased this items to protect the screen of my childrens (5 and 10) new DS. One, they do not fit well. Two, they did not stay on my youngest DS. Now this could have been just him, however the fit issue is the biggest downfall for me. Since the covers extend out the edges remain raised off of the screen which makes it difficult to use the pen on the outer areas of the screen. Yesterday I purchased a Nintendo brand cover from a store and had the same fit issue. Frustrating!
Hori products are famous for its quality. I wouldn't put anything different on my DS. A mandatory item if you want to take care of your DS displays. Please make sure to read the instructions leaflet before applying the filters. Great product!
These protective filters work great and do just what they say they do. Make sure you have it lined up straight and work the air pockets out as you go though - they aren't as easy to pull back up as the instructions say.
This came in the mail quite fast. Easy instructions and easy to use! I love it.
Easy to use and the price is nice, but seriously, it's obviously a "cheap" way to cover the screen and it shows. Has anyone found something that works without putting a bit of a cloudy film on their DS screen?

(DS Game)

(....)

(Not a good game)

(Super Game)

(Very Short)
I bought this game for my granddaughter for her 11th birthday. She was over the moon and in her words "I love, love, love it"!
This game might be fun for your kids under ten, but it wasn't fun for me (18). I played it a total of one time and then sold it to my local gaming store for a credit towards Guitar Hero.
My daughter bought this with her allowance and ended up being very disappointed. She was done with the entire game in 2 hours. Only 6 brides to choose from. She thought it was to boring to play again. Don't waste you money!
I bought this for my 14 year old. She loves it. We both play it alot!
I got this game for my 11 year old daughter and she really liked it. At least for the first 2 hours. After that she was done. The game has great potential but really needs to be longer. There should be at least 25 brides and each one should be more challenging then the last as one reviewer said. I completely agree. Then after about 3 weeks my daughter played it again for the millionth time and couldn't get past the part where it has the picture of the bride picking things out. She took out the game card repetidevly and tried again. She got very frustrated and hasn't played since February. Does anyone else have this issue?
As a budding wedding designer, YOU create the perfect wedding that meets the expectations of the bride. As you progress through the game, meet new brides and even create a custom wedding experience for your very own bride!
A wedding may only take a simple "I do" and a kiss to seal, but the perfect one takes a lot of planning and the guidance of an expert. InImagine Wedding Designerthe player's goal is to become just such an expert as they make their way to the top of the wedding design business. Along the way they will get hands-on experience, designing every aspect of six wedding ceremonies for six very different brides, each with their own tastes and sense of style. From invitations and venues, to flowers, makeup and dresses you will plan it all. And eventually you will even create a custom wedding experience for your own bride character. Creating that one perfect day is never easy, but its what players strive for inImagine Wedding Designer.

(Cooking)

(I love gifts that I use more than the person I gave it too.)

(GREAT FOR WANTING TO COOK SOMETHING NEW)

(Made me WANT to cook)

(Good as a recipe book, and not much else)
I bought 1 for my 10 year old granddaugher and she loved it very much. She has been making the dinners for her family. I also bought one for a friend as a Christmas suprise gift and she also enjoys it and shares it with her neice who is 10.
My girlfriend left this on a shelf for three weeks after I bought it and didn't want to cook me S--T even though she promised she would cook more often (HA!). So I cracked it open and it turns out to be really helpful! Even if you don't make the recipes you will still find this pretty useful around the kitchen. I use it more as a guide for finding complimentary flavors.
I love this game. I've made the Bucatini with tomato and pancetta and it came out great. I would definitely recommend purchasing this cooking game. What intrigued me was the different type of recipeds from around the world. I always want to cook something new and different and if you do too then this is the game for you.
I am the sort that makes instant ramen or boxes of macaroni for dinner, because I, a) don't want to think up a menu, b) feel tired and/or lazy, so resort to frozen pre-packaged meals, or d)look at my cookbook and turn away sighing, because it seems overwhelming and I don't know where to start.

This "game" is amazing. You don't have trouble coming up with an entire meal that goes together, because you can search by country, and it'll also tell you if the dish is a side dish, dessert, etc. The pictures are so beautiful and appetizing, it actually seems fun(!) to go grocery shopping for the ingredients instead of grabbing a bag of frozen burritos, for example. Also, because the steps to each recipe are so simply laid out, and the "cookbook" is so tiny, I feel more in control and less overwhelmed than I do when pulling out my ginormous, traditional, old cookbook.

I have only had this game for a week and I've already made the Sugar Crepes and Australian Meat Pie. I am excited to try the Udon Noodle Soup and Sushi recipes next! Take THAT cup-o-noodle!

This was one of the first few applications for the DS that was not a game. There aren't any fun activities in this application, just step by step recipes, and if that's what you're looking for, then you may have found it.

Using the application is fairly easy: on first run, it creates a profile for the user that will keep track of ratings and shopping lists and recipes cooked (and perhaps other information). This process takes a few minutes, but this is a 1 time operation. From here, the user simply browses recipes in one of several ways (by region, alphabetically, by ingredient (and maybe by course). The user then selects a recipe and starts cooking!

On first glance, everything seems great--it's like having a second person in the kitchen that only tells you what to do next. The problem is really how it's handled though. The speech recognition is only okay. It'll respond correctly to "next" and "okay" and maybe even "got it", but it'll also respond to things like "bad" and "okra." In fact, if there's already going to be someone else in the kitchen, you'll be triggering the "okay" and "back" often.

And that's basically the only complaint that can be made about this application. The speech coming out of the DS is easy to hear, easy to understand. The recipes turn out well, and there's a wide selection of recipes for each kind of eater. The nice thing is that you can turn off the speech recognition (and I highly recommend doing so).

The only other remark to make is that this suffers the same problem as cookbook these days (and this really is just an electronic cookbook), and that's that you can find recipes everywhere on the internet for free. I'd really only recommend this to a budding chef that already has a DS. If you don't have a DS, you're probably better off looking elsewhere for a cookbook.

You can pause the recipe at any time to consult the Cooking A-Z guide, and prompts will appear within recipes for specific terms you might need more information about.

Becoming a Better Cook:When you finish each recipe, you put a stamp on the in-game calendar, marking what you've made and when you made it. Later, you can search by whether or not you've made a dish before, allowing you to perfect your technique on a particular recipe, or keep expanding your culinary horizons. With an extensive in-game reference of cooking terms, pictures and demonstration videos, you can tailor your cooking experience to your level of skill, then watch that skill grow as you keep cooking.

Special Input Options:The game can be controlled entirely with the stylus, for maximum accessibility. When your hands are full, covered in cookie batter or otherwise unavailable, all of the in-recipe commands can be given by speaking to the DS microphone. The keyword search function uses handwriting recognition, so you can simply write out that you're looking for a "sweet" something. Finally, that same handwriting recognition is used to make notes on recipes. If you want to remember to reduce the salt, or simply that this recipe was especially tasty, the software takes the same role as the handwritten note in a cookbook.
