customer 's review (A good start)
(great game)
(Come on, do it)
(almost as good as castlevania: symphony of the night.)
(Konami delivers yet another quality title) The first game of casltevanis on NDS. Very similar to the last one on GBA and slightly improved the graphic (of course the machine is better) Was fun, collectiong souls takes time to play, and the musics are enjoyable. Difficulty is just medium, maybe a bit to easy. A good start for Castlevania on NDS. Are you looking for a good DS game to play? Then I'll give you the recommendation of castlevainia: Dawn of Sorrow. This is the first castlevania game I have ever played and I loved it. The gameplay was awesome. the dificulty was a little high but that is likely because this is my first in the franchise. although if you like 2-D platformers with lots of stuff to collect,(such as metroid)I promise you will like this game. my only complaints are that the graphics leave a little to be wanted, and the third to last boss( i will not tell you who he is) is really hard; it took me like two hours to beat him. overall, this game is great. XD I'll spare you the long review since most of the previous reviewers took care of that for me. Simply: this is a great game! If you're worried about wasting your money, then you worry in vain. Buy it. Do it. Come on, do it. Buy it. No more doubting. Just buy it. Go on, do it... same vein as SOTN (ps1), aria of sorrow (gba), and portrait of ruin (ds). roleplaying elements&levelling up, terrific gameplay&graphics, map exploration, etc. probably my favorite nintendo DS game yet. Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow is the first Castlevania game on the Nintendo DS. It is actually the sequel of one of the titles available on the Gameboy Advance. Castlevania games are considered action exploration games, where you explore Dracula's castle and try and prevent him from coming back. This game follows the same basic format, like the others, but I felt like they did a great job. I really enjoyed the boss battles - all of them were very different and there are some pretty cool gimmicks that take a while to figure out. The graphics are very good for a 2D game, some of the best for the DS. One thing I'm not a fan of is a gimmick they decided to use with the DS touchscreen. In order to destroy a boss you have to draw a symbol with the handheld's stylus. I felt this was useless and a waste of time. Overall I feel like this is a great Castlevania game for anyone to enjoy. In order to save himself and protect the lives of those he loves, Soma must infiltrate the enemy's home base, a towering replica of Dracula's castle that is teaming with monstrous creatures. (good game if you like these kind)
(Fun But Impossible!)
(Trauma Center Is There really only 4 surgerys in the whole game?)
(You can't be serious...) Speed is more important than precision in Trauma Center: Under the Knife. It's not a game I want my surgeon to play. We thought the game was fun for awhile, then the speed and skill level required became overwhelming. The soap opera story line was more irritating than inspiring. Unless you are a really good gamer, the diagnosis for this one is terminal. i bought this game for my wii when i first got it, and i remember playing it and liking it until i got to a certain part that make no sense. so i thought that for the ds it would be a little different. as i was playing it, things didnt react the way the were supposed to and therefore i would fail missions or get a crappy score. then i had the same issue as i did with the wii version, i got to a part that they dont give you any instructions on and you cant get past it because you have no idea what your supposed to do. so this game is good and bad! This game is fun for the first 10 challenges. Then, it is pretty much impossible. I have had this game for two years, and I am still stuck on the level where you have to rescue 5 patients in 10 minutes. It is impossible! I hope that if they re-make the game that they make it simpler. I bought this game a couple weeks ago.I completed the first 3 surgerys w/ no problem and the I get to the one with that angie nurse and I almost get to the end of this surgery. The one with the polyps on the rock stars larynx, but is this actually all the surgeries in the game?Or are there more? Please someone tell me.Thank You!! When I first got this game, I was really excited about the concept of an operating game and the first few surgeries were great... until we get to the freaking virus... @_@ To be honest, I was counting on the game getting harder with terminology and technicality, not by trying to mutilate and poke increasingly faster moving bugs.
Too much talking! There are times when I caught myself just gunning past all the mundane dialogue just to get to the surgeries. I am NOT a big fan of text heavy games, unless the conversations are interesting or at least animated! I realize that polite society causes us all to do the "Hello, how's the weather?" thing, but do surgeons really spend so much time playing nurse?! And since this is clearly fantasy, that's all the more annoying! I'm thinking that all in-game dialogue EVER should be able to be sped up or skipped altogether. Sometimes, people just want to get to the action!
My last complaint is the sometimes asinine sensitivity of a task. When you're working on a screen this small, there has to be some allowance for minute error. I mean, even my usually careful handwriting looks like crap on a slick surface... but the technology will only improve with time. Okay, my randomly affectionate cat doesn't help matters...
Overall, the series has some potential but I'd much rather have a more realistic game that actually teaches usable medical terminology and lets you combine brain power with surgical technique. I imagine I would REALLY suck at the Wii version-- I can't imagine trying to follow lines I'm not touching with a stylus.
Overall, this game was a disappointment. I swore like a sailor and it wasn't even worth it! Although, I still like to poke at the first few surgeries from time to time. coughhinthintcough Trauma Center: Under the Knife gives you the chance to play doctor. It's just another day in the O.R. until a mysterious outbreak sweeps the area. As the problems get more complex, it's up to you to wield your scalpel and test your medical skills under the most difficult conditions. Patients' lives are in your hands. (Highly Addictive....I love this game!)

(I Love This Game)
(GOOD VERSION OF PC GAME "CAKE MANIA") I like this game it will make you want to play for hours and hours. You will get to the point that you want to beat it and won't give up. My ds had to be recharged to keep playing. My daughter was addicted also when she played it also. It's a great game. I have both the first and second Cake Mania's and I love them both. One of my friends was playing her daughter's game and became addicted. She handed me her DS and told me to try it....I was hooked! I went to the store that night and bought Cake Mania. When I saw they had a second one I bought it immediately, and it's even better than the first. Totally worth the $$, I hope they make a Cake Mania 3!! I read somewhere they are making a 3rd, if they do I'll buy that one too! This game is very addicting. Just like Diner Dash.
As another reviewer said, the halloween cookie and the rectangular cake look similar so you can't really tell what cake is on the bottom.
I'm so glad they made a Cake Mania 2. I can't wait to play it.
I beat both games and started a new account. That's how much I love this game. This game is fun and very addictive. I am an older adult and played on my grandchild's DS. I loved the game so much I bought a DS for myself. I have finished the game and I'm ready for Cake Mania 2 which will be out this month. I won't repeat the basic play of the game that others have written, just wanted to let everyone know that I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plays exactly like the PC version, just smaller. It is fun and frustrating to lose a level by only a couple of seconds. I am a "Baby Boomer" without the fast reflexes and dexterity of the much younger players, but it is a great change from all the "Brain Age" type games. (Transformers Decepticons for DS)
(A Very Impressive Game)
(GREAT GAME!) I have not had this much fun with a Nintendo DS game since I got Transformers: Autobots Ds game! HAHA! Anyway, this is a very good game. To start with, the graphics are amazing (for a DS game) there are huge enviremonts to roam freely in between missions. Envirements include a monstrous city, Hoover Dam, another small town, and the Desert in Quatar, which is unique to the Decepticons version( in the autobots game, instead of Quatar you get to go to the arctic). The game has a little over 20 missions, less than the autobots version, but a lot harder. This game has some very hard and irritating levels, but the game is still a blast. at the beginning of the game, you create your own character. Whenever you are in freeplay, you play as your character. Freeplay consists of do what ever you want time. Best described as a E 10+ version of Grand Theft Auto. You can scan dozens of vehicle forms to change into at any time. Though you play your character for a portion of missions, you also get to play movie characters including: Barricade, Blackout, Brawl, Starscream, and, of course, Megatron. When you beat the game however, you can play any character in freeplay. The Multiplayer, which consists of a kill-each-other type thing, is fun but the envirements are not big enough. You can play any character that you have already beaten a mission with. You can also hook up on line to play Allspark wars with other people using a Wi-Fi connection. I have not tried it yet. The story is about the same as the movie until the end. The entire end is about how Starscream betrays you and runs with the allspark. So the final boss battle is not against Prime (you fight and kill Prime earlier) but against Starscream. What ends up happening is rather shocking. Overall I recommend getting both the Decepticons version and the autobot version. If you plan on only getting one, get the Decepticons version. Be aware that you need two games to play multiplayer. Oh, and another thing, this story completely leaves out any human characters, including Sam Whitwicky. 5/5 i ordered this ds game for my grandson who is 7 yrs. old. he likes the game alot. it has very good effects on it. he also has the transformers autobots game. this are alot alike. both very good games. Bought this for my two boys and they just can't put it down. Looks like I may purchase another one so they can each have one to play. I Purchased this game because of the high ratings and the supposed "Challenge". I underestimated this game. The Graphics are amazing. The game is pretty challenging. One of my favorite touches is that you can have your own character. I made my Decepticon a Brown and Green attack helicopter and it is totally ausome. The only downside of this game is the camera, it can be extremely unmerciful. This is a highly reccomended game. I don't know where everybody else is getting these glitches, I have played this for 5 hours straight and not 1 glitch. The Decepticon edition has exclusive desert levels which I think are ausome. This is a must buy game for anyone and everyone!!! this is a really well thought out game. it does get very frustrating, which is why it didn't get a 5-star rating. but overall, it is NOT a waste of money. Transformers: Decepticons lets gamers control the outcome in the battle for Earth. Help the Decepticons vanquish the Earth using the unstoppable might of their army. Fight through multiple levels as you take command of popular Transformers characters and guide them through domination of the planet. Based on the live-action feature film. (fun for 7 year old)
(thrillville)
(My kids love it!) This is a great game! Worth the money and plays great on the DS at your fingertips. More fun that I thought it would be. Let me start by saying I'm an adult and I've had a lot of fun with this game so far. I spent nearly my entire Sunday playing it for hours. The biggest downfall is that sometimes when you're tracing the roller coaster portions, the DS does not recognize them, specifically the loops. The other issue is that I wish you could just click somewhere to find a certain thing and not have to search the map; i.e. a certain person (mechanic), game or ride. Other then that, its very addictive and fun to see it all come together. I keep visualizing the missions and amusement park plots in my head long after playing. My seven year old son has enjoyed this the most out of the set of games we purchased with our nintendo ds lite two weeks ago. The price of this game was US $24. He has played for several hours in total with increasing interest, without becoming obsessive (he plays around 30 minutes each time). I've also tried it for an hour.
Its family friendly, tbat is, non-violent. It provides a sense of progress and achievement in building the fun park and accumulating the score. Its not frustrating or annoying at any point. There is no manual dexterity required beyond drawing shapes, and no repetitive or speed dependent actions required. There is no time pressure or negative warnings that appear in this game.
Its important to remember to save your progress, since at no stage is there any automated save function. You would lose entirely everything if you didn't save. Of course it was me who did this, not the seven year old!
Our three year old son also enjoys this, and has fun playing the mini-games, particularly the ice-hockey and basketball. Its nice for him to play, but we don't encourage him to do so. It was not as good of a game that it sounded like. It does not take very long to beat the game, but you still have the minigames to play after. Both my 10-year-old and 8-year-old boy and girl LOVE this game and say it's very similar to the PS2 game. Worth the money! Thrillville: Off the Rails amps up the family-friendly mix of gameplay with some of the most outlandish roller-coaster concepts ever imagined, as well as new ways to talk to park guests and a new array of carnival games. 20 death-defying rides so outrageous inspire the same word from every park visitor who sees them: "WHOA!" Build incredible "WHOA Coasters" to leap from one track to another, launch through the air like cannonballs, blast through a burning ring of fire and more. A new lighthearted story ties together more than 100 missions, complete with 34 playable multiplayer theme-park games and social interaction with park guests that's better than ever. The in-depth conversations both advance the plot and suggest better ways to manage the park but is every guest to be trusted? Attach animatronics, flowers and flaming hoops to all of your coasters and rides Smarter guests, better dialogue and more focused two-way conversation make Thrillville's socialization aspects even more amusing than before Conversation more directly impacts the story than in the original Thrillville Play 34 minigames - 14 new, 20 returning from the original Thrillville with new levels such as Robo K.O., Sparkle Quest, Bandito Chinchilla and Tank Frenzy Rerations < Thrillville: Off The Rails (Nintendo DS) >
