(Ummm well.......)
(Buy with caution.)
(OMFG ssssssssssssoooo fffuunn)
(Metroid Prime Hunters) I really like Metroid Prime Hunters. Great graphics, interesting storyline, and I just love Samus! Okay this is my second metroid game. My first was on the snes. It was funalso have a nes with all the main hits becides metroid. I always wanted it but the only way to get it was to order online and i was too lazy to wait and order another old game. So i went to the store and bought Metroid Prime Hunters. At first it was great after i changed the controls from the stylus too key pad. After i beat the first two planets they gave me two to choose from. I almost beat both but i got stuck. It was very hard and confusing to find out what to do. I mean dont get me wrong but they should at least tell you whatto do next. IDK what to do know. I looked up everything like reviews, cheats,[was none],ETC... Overall graphics: Not so good background but thats the DS for you. 3/5 Overall sound: I love the metroid music but this not as much. 3/5 Overall controls: After you switch it to the keybord unstead of stylus it is not so bad. 4/5 Overall gameplay: Good story but very confusing and hard. 2/5 Overall score: 3/5
I love Metroid and nintindo games, but this one is not the best. I have never played any metroid prime before or even first persons in genaral, but this is fun. However, if you are looking for a hard core shoot anything that moves, beware the Lego Star Wars effect = too easy enemies and fiendishly hard puzzles(or in this case mazes). Happy gaming. Daniel Age 10. p.s. You have to love the opening cut scene. this is ssooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fun i bought for myself with an amazon gift from my aunt, no intsructions so i hmmm a challenge i didntset my ds down for almost 8 hours SO MUCH FUN Slyux, Trace, Spire all ROCK Game works just fine. Grapics good for DS. Steep learning curve. Received well within delivery time requested. Metroid Prime: Hunters challenges your skills as you control Samus Aran, the space bounty hunter made famous in the Metroid series. A ferocious race, now extinct, has left behind relics of their once powerful warrior culture. Now bounty hunters from across the galaxy are racing against each other in order to lay claim to these relics hoping to harness their power for themselves. It's the race of a lifetime, as you guide Samus to the relics before other hunters can reach them - and use them on her. Rerations < Metroid Prime Hunters >

(Call of Duty World at War is a Top-Notch First-Person Shooter For The DS!)
(Call of Duty 5 - Christmas Present)
(Very fun)
(Surprisingly great) THIS WAS TESTED ON A NINTENDO DSI.
I played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and enjoyed the game. However, World at War, utilizes more scene details, more voice-overs, extensive mini-games, online play, and a more realistic feel. This is a first person shooter, incorporating role play and mini-games giving you an enriching warfighting experience.
Using your touchscreen and keypad, you navigate through the virtual battlefield and accomplish various tasks. There are more 'props' in the field such as rocks, bushes, foliage, crates and other hindrances to shield yourself but also make a more challenging way to fight the enemy. This game is so much harder than Modern Warfare since your enemies are on the same level, some are up on higher ground (hidden) or below you. I love the effects of gravel and dirt falling from the ceiling in the mines. This game just has so much more detail. You take controls as a Morse code operator, operation of a mortar, gunner on a truck, gunner on a ship, bombadier, operation of a tank, disarming mines, and a medic, for example, to add to the warfighting experience. There are a lot of weapons such as flamethrowers, handguns, machine guns, bazookas, and rifles. Reloading can be a pain, especially, if you just walked into a room of 4 to 5 assailants. Your heads up display gives you the appropriate direction of your objectives while giving a status of enemies in the vicinity.
Artificial intelligence of your team members are actually better than on Modern Warfare (where I felt like I was a one-person army). Artificial intelligence of your enemies, are also improved. There are awkward moments, though, when your comrad walks by an enemy and the enemy's goal is to attack you - instead of your comrad and the enemy shooting each other. You play as the Americans, British and Russians in different missions, replaying World War 2 against the Japanese and the Nazi's.
Graphics and sound are very good but if there are multiple enemies, the video tends to slow down. There were episodes when the enemy would fall after dying and half the body was separated by the wall/bunker. You have versatility of choosing individual missions, online play or playing a campaign. As you get shot by enemy gunfire, a red bar appears, and when you are near death, the screen flashes red. Luckily, if you can reach a safe area from gunfire, your health is restored. As your character walks through the field, it has a more realistic 'sway' as opposed to the navigation in Modern Warfare. The auto-save feature from one mission to the next, keeps the player in the heat of battle. Different milestones in the game are awarded with medals and there are secret items that add to the diversity of the game.
Overall, this game has made many advances over Modern Warfare and is well worth your time and consideration.
Call of Duty World at War is a insanely awesome DS FPS game.
Story -
You will play in the feet of three soldiers each from the American , British , and Russian Campaign. As the Americans , you will fight against the strong Japanese army. As the British and Russians , you will fight against the Fascist German Military. You pretty much know the whole WWII story about each campaign.
Gameplay -
The game has a extremely nice feel to it , and is very intense .. but you will hit moments where it just feels like shooting gallery , but other than that the game is very intense and satisfying.
Presentation -
Having a organic and outdoor enviroment for any shooter just makes it feel a whole lot better , and this game exceeds at this certain thing. Im sure it wasn't easy to fit such a large , organic enviroment into a such a small chip. This game is extremely pretty , but not perfect , but still very good.
Controls -
The Controls are absoluty smooth on this FPS DS game. Every action you have to prefrom is on the touch-pad. Trust me , this game excells at controlls.
Multiplayer -
Call of Duty 4 for the DS didn't have online play , but thats not the case here this game has some fun online multiplayer. Allowing to play with up to 3 other people locally or around the world! There are Many gametypes such as : Deathmatch , Team Deathmatch , Capture the Flag , and a couple of other gametypes. There are over 10 maps to choose from . This game has absolutly Solid multiplayer.
Story - 8 Gameplay - 9.5 Presentation - 9.5 Controls - 10 Multiplayer - 10
Total Score - 9.4
I purchased this item for my 9 yr old son who is really into WWII and the military. He has all but one of the Call of Duty games. This is the DS version. He loves the game and was thrilled to get it for Christmas. The only problem I have is the language. I wish they would make a version that is more for kids. The rating is for Teen so I knew it was there. When I first saw this game, while looking for a DS game that my kid and I could play, I was hesitant because we have all of the COD games for our 360. I didn't want to waste money by buying a dupicate game I would not be happy with. I took a chance and am glad I did. First, this version bares little resembance to the larger versions made for ps3 or 360. Pretty much everything is different and this is of course made for the DS. It is very cool and a lot of fun. My gripe was that I thought we could play multiplayer off of 1 card- a great + for games like MarioKart for DS or the new CARS. Well, I splurged and bought a second game card right here on Amazon. Now my kid and I each have our own and we play against each other- VERY FUN!!!! I highly recommend this game, it is a real hoot! First person shooters on the DS are rarely this good. First person shooters from third-party developers and publishers on the DS that are this good are something even more rare. Call of Duty: World at War is such a rarity, and is a spectacular follow-up to last year's surprisingly good Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the DS. Going back to World War II, World at War features an engaging and cinematic presentation that provides some wonderful shooter action, as well as some of the best graphics and sound to come from a third party DS game in some time. Animations and effects look great, while the voice over work and overall audio production sound simply fantastic for a DS game. Controls via the stylus, touch screen, and face buttons can become uncomfortable, but is accurate and really displays what an FPS can do on the DS, while the game also offers enough replay value to keep you coming back, including some lengthy missions and more than solid multiplayer via the DS' Wi-Fi capability. All in all, there's plenty to admire here with Call of Duty: World at War on the DS, and the game by and far ranks as the best third party FPS to hit the DS yet, and definitely deserves a place in your DS library if you're an FPS fan. Call of Duty: World at War from Activision for the Nintendo DS completely changes the rules of engagement by redefining World War II gameplay. In this edition, players are thrust into the final, tension-filled battles against a new, ferocious enemy in the most dangerous and suspenseful action ever seen in a WWII title. Building on Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, this next installment promises to immerse players in gritty, chaotic gameplay.

(Very Good Game)
(a great rpg that's not for everyone.)
(SRTOGSEF that's a long abbreviation isn't it?)
(I almost missed this one.) This is a game I loved in the beginning and began to get bored with by the end. The game features a unique fighting system that will have you dishing out awesome combos with highly detailed 2d sprites, and a goofy storyline that is worth a few laughs to anime fans, but be warned, the humor of this game is pretty low brow stuff. The game quickly starts to wear thin when you find yourself getting ripped apart by enemies that simply take WAY too much damage to deal with, and countless boss battles that can take over a half hour to win. The boss fights are my biggest complaint- this game has you fight 3-4 boss battles per dungeon, and each one of these usually has 2-4 boss characters. The story itself suffers from this, as the game tries every saturday morning cartoon cliche in the book to justify fighting every single NPC in the game. One minute I'm buying items from this cat-woman in town, the next I'm locked in mortal combat with her- for the THIRD time! By the end of the game I found that every dungeon came with hours of level grinding just to survive, and even then I had to constantly retreat and rest up in a town because of the frequent and grueling boss fights. This problem is compounded by a limited item holding capacity (only 15 of each item) and a lack of save points. Overall, this game isn't completely terrible, and there are some fun times I had with it, however it's drawn out battles, weak storyline, and the need for extensive level grinding make this a difficult game to recommend to anyone but the most hardcore of JRPG fans. I was very impressed with this title. The graphics are lovely, the game play will keep you hooked and the story line is easy to follow. I reccomend this game for any action RPG fan. This game is one of the best rpg's i've played on the DS (granted, i haven't played many on the DS), , probably the only thing that can really be an issue is if you have a problem with jokes about women's endowments. The battle system is fluid, the translation is excellent, the story rarely takes itself seriously, the only thing that i could say that could turn off rpg fans is the humor, but if you can get past that i'd say this is well worth the purchase.
I really love this game, but considering it appeals only to some people's taste, i can't give it a 5, in my book it's a 5, but not everyone will like it's style. First off let me say if sexual innuendo and [...] jokes aren't your thing, this game is not for you. It has this type of fanservice literally bursting at the seams.
Now that aside, the game is pretty fun. Chaining your combos, finding the character setups that you enjoy is addicting. If your a Super Robot Taisen fan like I am, this is a definite buy. The censored cover caused me to nearly miss this. I mean, they don't even show Kaguya's cleavage like they should.
Anyway, I'll keep this short and to the point. Super Robot Wars is an ongoing anime series, and this game is a distant offshoot. It has characters from Xenosaga in it, and is an attempt to cross worlds for a common goal. I won't spoil things, but everyone has a purpose here.
Previous games on GBA were strategy RPG's; this one is a traditional RPG, 2D, with brief animations. You control Haken, a playboy-type character who uses guns and swords interchangeably, and dresses like a cowboy. You are accompanied by Aschen, an android with a rather unrealistic body who you've known for years. Neither of you remembers how you found each other or why you've stayed together, but you are bounty hunters looking in ancient ships and ruins. You eventually will stumble across your other characters, who all have stories that revolve around the main storyline.
To bullet this out....
** PROS ** - The game is easy to get into. There are no complex or touch controls; everything is controlled with the various buttons. There's even a brief tutorial if you need to know how to do something.
- The combat engine is quite engaging. If you're good enough, and have enough characters, you can unleash combos that reach into the double or even triple digits, juggling opponents in the air for extended periods.
- The character development is moderate. It's not as strong as other games such as Chrono Trigger, but each character has enough of a story that you won't ever get confused why certain characters are there.
- New Game Plus, when you defeat the game. You don't keep levels though, only your cash and the majority of your items.
- The dialogue. It's a throwback to the glory days of Working Delays...err, Designs. A lot of cornball humor, with some not-quite-suitable-for-kids humor. One character gets constant jokes about her massive breasts. Another gets infrequent quips about her flat chest and tummy. There are others, but you get the idea.
- The graphics. They're simple, but effective. They didn't go overboard and try to make a 3D engine or anything; kept it as simple as possible.
** THE CONS **
- This game should have been on PS2. Period. There was so much potential for other things like anime cutscenes and full voice overs.
- The game is actually easy, but the bosses for some reason are ridiculously overpowered. I don't mean the damage they do to you, I mean the damage they take from you. You'll unleash combos dealing massive damage in the 6 figures, yet it's barely a scratch to their HP bar. All after you got done destroying regular enemies in the same dungeon/castle. You could be level 99 halfway through the game, yet a single combo won't kill some bosses. It just doesn't make sense.
- The relationship between Haken and Kaguya is almost forced. There's no real development up to it - Kaguya expressing her feelings to Aschen, or something. It just happens near the end of the game (can't spoil it).
- It's never clear that everyone needs Haken. In fact he's treated as though they don't really want him there, with the exception of Ksguya. Even Aschen throws the occasional insult, and she's supposed to be essentially a family member.
- It's way too easy for the enemy to do "Forced Evasion", which is a counter opening. As you juggle the opponent, if they touch the ground, they can cancel your combo midstream and then counter attack. The problem is three fold - one, you can't do Forced Evasion when you're getting juggled. Two, the enemy can do it all the time, breaking your combos too easily. Three, sometimes the computer can do it without touching the ground. Really frustrating.
- Discontinuity with characters. You'll encounter characters that you have to fight that then help you. Later, you're back fighting them again. Then they're helping you again. It's really dizzying.
All in all though, good game. I just wish it were a full console game. THE FAMED SUPER ROBOT TAISEN FRANCHISE COMES TO DS! Use the formation option to rearrange your party, where characters in the front will be the ones getting up-close and personal with enemies, and characters in the back will be available to provide support for attacks. During a battle each character will make use of HP, SP and COM. HP is the character's health. When it is down to zero the character is knocked out and can't be used in battle until revived. If all four characters in front are knocked out, you've lost the battle and the game is over. SP is used for skills and spirit commands. These provide a variety of useful effects like healing or special attacks that deal status effects to enemies. COM is what allows you to perform attacks each turn. Each attack a character makes has an associated COM cost. More damaging attacks require more COM and if a character doesn't have enough COM to continue her/his attack sequence, the turn ends. Each character regains some COM every turn, and some items or spirit commands will refresh a character's COM as well.Hit Count and Combos Every time you strike an enemy, that enemy will be lifted off the ground slightly. As long as the enemy is in the air each successive hit will add to the hit count. The higher the hit count, the more damage you'll do in a series of attacks. In addition, your chance of getting critical hits increases in direct proportion to the current length of the combo. Critical hits deal a lot of damage. To keep your hit count high, use careful timing to chain your characters' attacks together into an unstoppable tidal wave of pain. These tricks will keep you fighting at the top of your game.Chain Attacks While one of your characters is attacking, if the next characters to attack is another one of your characters, you can begin the second character's turn before the first has completely finished his attacks. This might seem wasteful, but it lets the second character jump right into combat and begin attacking while the enemy is still being juggled from the attacks of the first character, further increasing the hit count and dealing more damage through critical hits. You'll also get a boost to the frontier gauge, making it even easier to use overdrive attack more often.Support Attacks Characters in the back row can still help you out, even if they're not part of the fighting force. Call upon those members of the party to use support attacks, during which they will quickly jump into battle, deal a few hits, then leap away again. This takes place while your party members are attacking, so you can continue attacking on your own. Let the assisting characters attack, or use this opportunity to chain in more characters to extend the combo even further.Key Features- Fighting style combat- Combo attack your enemies and never let them hit the ground to deal the most damage. This unique“juggling” gameplay and timing-based attacks keep every encounter fresh and exciting, unlike most RPGs.
- Story intended for mature RPG gamers- Intended for the more seasoned, older gamers, the story includes more nuanced, complex characters and manages to mix drama, romance, and humor to great effect..

The cover will protect the unit but over time (4 months) the foam started to chip away and once that starts you will find pieces of it all over the place. It was very hard to remove the case until I found a YouTube video to show me how. [...]
Many people have reported that they had to damage their units in order to take the cover off so be very careful if you need to remove the unit.
I was pretty disappointed in it since I bought two of them for my childrens' DS lites and they both flaked apart within 4 months. Also my youngest complained that it was hard for him to reach the buttons in the back with the thicker covering on it.
The best protection for your NDS lite. Once installed, it is very difficult to remove from your NDSL. Be advised, Once installed, your NDSL will not fit any of the factory cases because of the gained size... Great protection for the unit. Make it more comfortable to hold for extended period of time. Had it for 6 months and it is wearing well.
Good quality. I bought this case along with the DS Lite Dura-Case. Both good cases, but designed for two different purposes. While I prefer the Dura-Case, the Nintendo DS Lite Nerf Armor - blue/white is also very good.
The nice things about this case are the good fit, fun style and ease of accessing your game slots and stylus. The bad things are no additional storage and it still allows some dust/dirt into the case in between the armor.
I ended up giving this case to my daughter who likes it. She usually doesn't carry more than one came and so this is perfect for her. The official NERF DS Lite Armor protects your valuable Nintendo DS Lite system from bumps and bruises. Authentic, soft, NERF material on the Armor gives you additional grip and comfort while playing. (Educational and fun!!)
(Great game for a 3 yr old) MY SON, AND I ENJOYED THIS GAME! RECIEVED THE GAME IN RESONABLE TIME. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS GAME, AND SELLER! My nephew loves this game. Its really simple but interactive and challenging. Its his favorite game by far on his DS. Lots of little simple minigames. I bought this game for my 4.5 y.o. son, who is beginner in the nintendo games world. So it was his first game. This game is wonderful for the beginners, but could be kinda boring for more "games advanced" kids. So after 5 days with this game he knows everything from A to Z and doesn't look interested in playing more... So i give 4 stars for this game for great quality images, nice not disturbing sounds, absence of any kind of violence. As i said before it would be great first game for beginners for 3-4.5 y.olds. My son was ecstatic when he opened this gift! Diego is his hero, and now he gets the educational value of the show combined with interactive experience of the video game. Awesome! My 3 yr old daughter loves this game. It is very entertaining for her since she watches the show anyway. I'm planning on getting the Dora game as well. There's not a lot of games out there that a 3 yr old can really enjoy and comfortable with. Giraffes with short necks? Zebras with no stripes? Tiny hippos? A mean Magician mixed up all the African animals and turned the elephants into rocks too! Help Diego, Alicia, Baby Jaguar, Juma and Erin the Elephant undo the Magician's mischief with the Magic Drum! (Voice Recognition is a Problem)
(Great Game!!)
(Cute game)
(nintendo dogs rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) My tween daughter purchased this game with her Christmas money, and it is by far her favorite game. It took a little while for her to figure out how to do the contests, but now she is up to 4 dogs, and is having a lot of fun.
Nintendogs was my first ever game for DS. For the first couple months, I played it nonstop. It was extremely cool, because you could draw walk routes, and train for competitions. You could even teach commands! But that's where the trouble started. You see, the dogs recognize commands by voice, so if your voice changes, then you have to teach them everything all over again, which takes forever. So I would just recommend this game for adults, or kids already through puberty. I would recommend this game to all ages 7 and up! The doggies are cute, the contests are fun and even taking a little stroll in the park helps you bond with your puppy! All the breeds are smart and adorable! Except... the German Shepherd. It isn't very cute and is much harder to train. That's the only downfall to this edition. => This is a cute game, although I bought it used and it did not come with instructions. My daughter is seven and picked up on it quickly, a lot quicker than I did. She doesn't seem to need the instructions. But, it is a good alternative to having a real dog around :)! You have to buy this game!! It is just like haveing your own dog you feed them, bathe them, you shop for them, and go in contests.Trust me i'm a kid and i love this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Put a puppy inside your Nintendo DS! In this game choose from Dalmatian, Golden Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier, Beagle, Boxer and German Shepherd Dog. Rerations < Nintendogs Dalmatian&Friends >

customer 's review (Not a true "RPG", but truly FUN)
(Mario games rock!)
(Just plain fun.)
(love the game)
(Nintendo DS Game) I have owned about 20 different games for the DS, and this is one of the top 5. It is clever and fun, a game that you can play in 10 minute spurts, or can sit there playing it for 90 minutes straight at the end of the day. It is a solid Nintendo title. This is no doubt the best DS game ever! Ocay, so the story is pretty wierd. There's these aliens that invade the Mushroom Kingdom and a character named Prof. E. Gadd makes a time machine which Princess Peach uses to travel to the Mushroom Kingdom's past. Of course she is greeted by aliens who capture her. In the game, you play as Mario, Luigi, and their baby selves to try to save the future. WOW It is so much fun, I couldn't put the game down! The controls are confusing just so you know because you have to control all four characters in the game. Just be careful if you buy a used copy because I got a pirated copy from Gamestop. I wasn't aware that Mario and Luigi had teamed up in any previous RPGs, but after playing this version, I had to check out its predecessor as well. Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time is charming, funny, and innovative--I found I could pick it up anytime, and I usually had trouble putting it down.
The Mario Bros. franchise makes for such successful RPGs, I'm surprised there aren't more of them. Partners in Time follows Mario, Luigi, Baby Mario, and Baby Luigi as they (predictably enough) try to save the princess. The unique gameplay derived from the babies piggybacking on the older bros. is disconcerting at first, since you have to wrap your mind (and fingers) around a counterintuitive button scheme, but after a little practice and a tutorial or two, the system is fun and challenging, in a good way. This gameplay system works both within and outside of battles, and there are plenty of obstacles and special items requiring the use of all four bros.
The story in this game is simple, but it serves its purpose. As is customary these days, Bowser is only the minor villain here, and the overall goal of stomping the weird purple aliens feels like a better motivation than stomping on Baby Bowser. All the creatures from the Mario universe are here--some as enemies and some as friends--and so is the bizarre brand of humor from the series. Luigi bears the responsibility for most of the slapstick comedy, but seeing Mario and Luigi try to prevent their younger selves from getting into mischief can be pretty funny. This brings up a bunch of questions that the game doesn't address, but the jokes about time travel make it seem less weird that the four are working together so much.
I thought the music in this game was pretty good, too. Rather than merely setting the mood and repeating endlessly, the tunes were catchy and inventive, and I didn't mind when they got stuck in my head for a day or two. The sound clips and bits of dialogue ("Let's go!" "Babies!" etc.) added to the cartoony feel of the graphics and also served as a welcome source of humor (except when the baby princess cries, an event that will probably make you want to skip through the dialogue as quickly as possible).
Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time is not a deep, immersive RPG. But from the battle system to the puzzles in each level, this game is just plain fun. I wish I knew a kid I could lend it to, because it's one of the best DS games out there. If you like Mario and Luigi and funny games you should get this game. The beginning of the game can be a little bit frutrating. But, keep playing it and you will like it a lot. And there's also some short cuts in the game, but you have to complete the mission and figure it out.
This game is fun but sometimes tough getting used to. You play with the Baby Mario&Baby Luigi which get confusing sometimes. My 10 year old beat the game in a month and that was not everyday. My 35 year old sister liked it a lot also. Not a bad game for anyone. Mario and Luigi: Partners In Time an insane sequel to the classic adventure starring the heroic brothers! In this sequel to Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, the brothers travel back in time to retrieve Princess Peach, only to come face to face with baby versions of themselves, the princess and Bowser. They'll team up with their younger selves for a quest of lunatic proportions! Rerations < Mario&Luigi: Partners In Time >
