I guess it's out of print, or however they say that for games. He likes it really well as he's a sudoku junkie. It says that the games are savable but he can't figure out how to get back into them after he's saved them. Else that, it's the only one he plays. I have purchased a couple of games,but I find this one to be totally useless. Who wants to play 8 squares ? and it is just too difficult to select the number from the side panel. I much prefer the BrainAge Sudoku. I am presently looking for a Sudku ONLY game like Sudoku Classic I read quite a few reviews before purchasing this DS version of Sudoku. For the price, it's a great DS game with a lot of different versions of Sudoku. One thing to note, you have to remember to turn off the eraser after making a change. The Ultimate Puzzle Games - Sudoku Edition is the best Sudoku software I have tried. It has many choices for puzzles: the Classic 9 x 9 grid with Easy, Medium, Hard and Extreme levels of difficulty. It offers also the Eight 8 x 8 or Mini 6 x 6 grid with Easy and Medium levels. Has also a Junior grid which is a 4 x 4 with an Easy level. It offers from the very basic, beginner level to the extreme hard puzzles. If you get interrupted and cannot finish the game, YOU CAN SAVE IT if for later by pressing the START button on the DS console. A Menu opens offering a Game sub-menu with choices for Restart Puzzle, Solve Puzzle or Quit. Next is the Options sub-menu with the choices for SAVE, Reset Best Time, Music, ERROR HIGHLIGHT, Background and How to Play. Besides this, when playing the game you have on the screen icons that allow you to pencil-in or erase candidates, erase entries, undo last move or redo last move. I have played the Sudokus that come with the BRAIN AGE games and prefer the ones from the Ultimate Puzzle Games Sudoku Edition. The BRAIN AGE software frequently has trouble recognizing the numbers I am trying to pencil-in or enter, showing a 9 when I am trying to enter a 4, a 1 instead of a 7, and so on. It is quite annoying. With the Ultimate Puzzle Games Sudoku Edition I DON'T HAVE THIS PROBLEM, the numbers are tapped in, they are not "written" by hand. Also, the BRAIN AGE Sudokus do not offer the different kinds of Sudoku puzzles the Ultimate Puzzles Sudoku Edition offers, nor do they have the unlimited number of puzzles this software can create. The Ultimate Puzzle Games Sudoku Edition software is the one I prefer and I highly recommend it as the best. This is a great game. It was well protected for shipping. This game alowes you to place small numbers in the blank squares to help you solve the puzzle. (Fixed it!) (I bought a new 72 pin connector for my NES System) The connector made my NES run a bit better, but did not fix it 100%. I still must wiggle my cartridge around and pull it about half way out before i can get the game to start. I think this is because the connectors are not all the same, also there might be a difference in NES main boards. The customer service from LukieGames, however, was excellent. I called with a problem and they helped me out over the phone and sent me a replacement for free with no questions asked and great attitude. I will definitely be buying from LukieGames again. Great people. about a year ago i found 100+ nes games in the garbage rangin from final fantasy to dr mario to ninja turtles then recently my friend gave me about 50 of them for free but my nes wouldnt play any of them so i gave up then i stumbled upon this...and it fixed everything...took like 20-30 minutes to put in because those screws are hard as hell to get out i recomend this. When i got this i thought it would not work. But i went online and read that it fixes the games because it clamps down on the game to read it better. Now every single game that i have works perfectly and my worse game only has blinked a couple times but all i had to do was blow the game out and it worked fine. The only bad thing about this is that it is very hard to take the game out because it clamps so hard. But other than that it works fine. The install was simple, and my Nintendo immediately came back to life! We've been playing Legend of Zelda nonstop! I just wanted to say that I had bought a new 72 pin connector for my NES System. I had been experiencing the blinking before and most of the time the games would not work for me. I bought the connector and although sometimes I have to blow in it still most of the time when it starts I do not have to worry about my games freezing up mid play like before. Also I have noticed that some of the games tend to work without even having to push them down in the system. Which is kind of weird I guess but the good thing is that I can play my old NES favorites again. I would totally recommend purchasing a new 72 pin connector to fix the blinking freezing or just plain not working issues with your NES system. Easily replace your old NES Nintendo's 72 pin connector with only a philip screwdriver. (Lego Star Wars II - Fun but hard) (Not very well thought out...) (Not as much fun as the Xbox version) I already own this game for my PS2 and love, LOVE, the PS2 version. When I bought a DS Lite, I was excited to see this version. I should have looked here before I tore into the plastic wrap. While I had hoped for the intuitive and entertaining game that I've played before, I ended up fighting with the interface within the first 10 minutes. The keypad is so much worse than the joystick I was used to; I lost count on how many times I fell off ledges and bridges. Then I experienced the bugs and was frozen midair in a level. There was nothing I could do but switch it off and start over. I'll try it again later when my headache wears off. I bought Lego Star Wars II for DS, even after not really liking Lego Star Wars I for Gamecube. (I must have bought it used.) Just like Lego Star Wars I, the game itself was nothing more than slashing everything and collecting random lego parts. Just like regular Legos, I wish it was more fun than it actually is. The game is very hard but getting the mini-kits is harder. 10 mini-kits = 1 new person. There is no blood and no graphic deaths since it is a Lego game. Well worth the cost. There is a process you go through in game development called play testing. They must have skipped this. The player control itself is enough to make you throw your DS against the wall. I have (sadly enough) put over 60 hours into playing the PS2 version of this game. They actually keep track of it for you. I wasn't expecting the same experience as the PS2 version, but I also wasn't expecting pure frustration. They simply didn't scope this out very well and didn't put much thought into the strengths and weaknesses of the DS system. Being a fan of the console version I thought it would be nice to have a portable version. Unfortunately the movements of the characters are really hard. I found it too hard to navigate the cat-walks and found myself blasting my other team member more then the Storm Troopers. It's too bad more thought wasn't put into this game before release as it had a lot of potential. My son has the GameBoy advance version of Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy which he seems to enjoy so I would recommend grabbing a copy of that if you really want a portable version of this game. The game is great, easy to play, good story line and all, its a + for ninja gaideners and devil may cryish games. It Rocks, trust me =) The basics: Is this game fun: Incredibly. How do the Stylus controls work: Generally very well. Is this game a recommended purchase: Highly at the now greatly discounted price. Ninja gaiden DS is set 6 months after the events of Ninja Gaiden and the story continuity is a welcome feature. Though, if you've never played the original xbox game or its subsequent editions (Black, Sigma) you are really not at a significant loss. This game is basically an intelligent hack and slash actioner and story is an added bonus. As other reviewers have noted, production values are top notch. The graphics of this game has been rightly acknoledged with being some of the best on the DS. They look fantastic with only the large bosses looking blocky. Music is excellent and appropriate with the only downside being the virtually non-existent recorded voice work. Couldn't we at least have some for cut scenes? Oh well, not a huge disappointment. Controlling Ryu is accomplished with the stylus and generally this is well executed. Ryu has quite a few combos and new ones can be bought with souls (?) that are collected as you progress as well as upgrading your magic and your sword (Dragon Sword, DS, get it? :) ). A few complication can arise due to map layouts as you are sometime deep into the foreground where combos and actions are harder for the the DS to decipher as Ryu is quite small during these situations. Again, mostly a minor nitpick. Additionally, Ninja Gaiden games can be known for their "challenging" difficulty. NG Black was supposedly especially difficult and the PS3 remake contained an unlockable easy difficulty if you died enough times, which the game mocked you for choosing. IMO, that easy difficulty was the right one making Sigma a joy to play. NG DS falls into about the same difficulty as the Sigma easy (ninja dog) difficulty - it isn't a cake walk but it isn't as challenging as the main series by far. My only other nitpick is the game's length. I logged approximately 7.5 hrs into the game including looking for extras and playing optional "challenge rooms". The main story could probably be finished in much less time if someone was speeding through the campaign. Replay incentives are there for the person looking to collect all extras AND is interested in playing a more difficult level. This is because extras can only be fully gathered by playing the "hard" difficulty, something that doesn't interest me. So minor issues aside, I had a blast with this game. It features excellent graphics and great hack 'n slash action with functionable stylus controls. For anyone who is a fan of the genre this is a highly recommend. Additionally now that this game can easily be found with a greatly discounted price, it is easy to forginve any shortcoming in length and makes this an easy recommend for everyone. Definitely a game great. It's without a doubt a little on the easy side, but it's still a fun game through and through. There's all kinds of innovative ways the game uses the stylus to control the action, and the graphics are definitely great for a Nintendo DS title. Very fast paced -- I wish the DS had more action games like this. It was an awesome game based off a ninja and I have always loved ninjas. Thank you, no. This is a really fun game in which you get to pick a "starter" dinosaur. Then you have to fight and beat a T-Rex and you uncover fossils. The fossils turn into dinosaurs and those dinosaurs grow more powerful. Then the dinos must save the world from bad guys who try to take over with other dinosaurs. You and dinosaurs travel to each of the continents to prevent the bad guys from taking over. You find fossils using a drill that you can upgrade thus enabling you to dig deeper for more fossils. Sometimes you find other things too, like ancient underwear. My 8.5YO says this is a really fun game and highly recommends it. I have 2 boys, ages 8 and 10 and both of them love to play this game.
