(great game for a great price)
『My son has played this DS Nintendo game over and over. He liked being able to create his own creatures and battling other creatures.』

(Absolute Peice of JUNK!!!!)
『I was lucky enough not to have to buy this to check it out. I have played the original SPORE, and lemme tell you, it is awesome. I was expecting some sort of similar playing platform (i.e. start from cellular stage, work up to space stage, etc.), even if greatly simplified. What I played was something that could probably be made by someone with too much time and paper on their hands. It looked like a stupid cardboard cutout! also, the small part of actual gameplay I conducted basically involved running to a bananna tree, clicking on it to bring up a menu, and using slash to bring down A (A, as in singular) bananna. I had to do that thrice to bring down all three banannas. then, I would ferry the banannas to some freaks who had a "STARMAP" and throwing them a bananna. then repeat until the computer thought I had gotten board enough and telling me to go and defend the bananna stash from some evil freaks. The module that commanded flight of the rocks I threw was terrible, and resulted in the freaks, two of them I might add, taking one bananna each, and running away. the computer then told me to go back and start all over again.

In short: very boring, tedious, and stupid』

(Did not meet expectations)
『Some of my friends got Spore for PC and said it was extremely fun. I asked for it for Christmas and I received it. I was very excited at the time and began playing immediately. Its straight forward in the beginning, they explain what to do and how to do it. The game was good in that aspect, it has help guides all the way through.
What I didn't like was it was almost like an action adventure game. You had to travel from planet to planet and try to defeat the bad guy alien and his minions. I don't like playing those games, I like being able to create, to "Play God" Helping out creatures along the way and running errands for them is amusing at first, as well as the dance minigame.
The creature creator part was dissapointing. It has a limited number of parts, and all you could do was make them bigger or smaller and rotate them. The way you could color it was odd, but alright once you figure out how to work it.
At the end of the game there is nothing to do except go back and try and earn all the different body parts. You have the option to go back and play the 6 different planets. What is annoying is you go back and you have to replay the entire planet, having to do the same errands, which is not fun.
There is a free style option in which you can make creatures for the sole purpose of creating, and it is fun to see what you can create, but thats about it.
All in all, I'd say if you want Spore, get the computer version. It has a lot more options and is pretty fun. For DS games I would suggest Sim City Creator.』

(BORING!!!!)
『This game is so repetitive! It's extremely easy to beat! There's nothing to do! PERIOD!!』

(nothing special)
『this one is nothing special if you ask me, it's okay, but I didn't love it.』
『Guide and evolve your custom creature on a quest to save your species and the entire Galaxy. Start as a simple creature and explore your surroundings. Meet, befriend or fight other creatures in a number of unique Touch Screen based activities. As the story unfolds, evolve your creature's look and add to its abilities by collecting and adding parts in the Creature Creator. Eventually uncover the mystery of the Galaxy's troubles, and work to set things right! Share your creatures with other Spore Creatures players via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. You can store over 30 of your favorite creatures who might appear as characters in your game. Unlock cheats and additional parts by earning over 50 badges during gameplay. Spore Creatures for the DS is a unique game, custom-made for the Nintendo DS platform to take full advantage of the popular stylus and Touch Screen features.』

(My 4.5 year old daughter (who is very bright) has a hard time with this game.)
『My daughter hasn't played this game too much, because she got very frustrated with it almost immediately. It has been awhile since she played it because she prefers smartgirl's playhouse because it's so much easier for her to figure out. But I seem to remember that there were some parts in this game where you have to read the instructions. I could be remembering wrong though. But I do remember that she got very frustrated with several of the games.....they were too hard for her because of having to be pretty precise with tracing drawings, and having to be coordinated enough to move back and forth with the keypad to predict where a fruit is going to fall and hit it on a pillow once or twice to get it in a basket. There were other games that she was frustrated with. She actually cried with this game. And she yelled and screamed. She got very frustrated, and now if I ask her if she wants to play it, she says no.
Perhaps an older child who can be more skilled in fine motor skills, and who has the patience needed for this game, would like it.』

(Barbie Island Princess - DS - Awesome! Greatest Barbie game ever!)
『Hi I'm a 21 year old Autistic adult gamer...

I love the Barbie video games and yeah I'm 21 and watch all the barbie movies too. I'm a big Barbie fan!

This game is awesome it will keep you busy for hours on end plus it has clips from the movie and bonus stuff.

Buy this game you like it!

Do not buy Barbie 12 dancing princesses unless it's for the GBA the DS version is the same thing to a t as the GBA version so be forwarned.

Happy Gaming!』

(really great game)
『this is a really great game for a young girl. there aren't many out there. Just a step above Dora in difficulty. Not as hard as many other games. perfect for a 5-8 yr old. Great beginning game for a young child. There are a few spots where you may have to help them, but overall very well done.

Things to do:

- try to net pearls from the ocean (avoid the fishes)
- bounce coconuts into a basket (with barbie and elephant)
- trace pictures to help teach prince words
- catch fruit in a basket
- repeat bell sequences
- bounce bubbles with head which grow bigger until they pop
- many other things on higher levels

You win new dresses, shoes, and necklaces. very sweet.』

(Great barbie game)
『If your daughter is into the barbie movies this is great. The graphics are wonderful cute game. Some parts are a little difficult even for 8yrs.old but it shows actual barbie clips from the movie, which is very nice for young girls or boys. If they like the barbie movie itself.』

(I LOVE WORD SEARCHES&ANAGRAMS)
『I LOVE THE ANAGRAMS,WORD SEARCHS&BELIVE IT OR NOT THE CROSSWORDS. They are easy to do the they get a little harder also if you don't understand the question which is given to you click on the hint and it will change the whole sentence. I did finish the small size word searches all 300 puzzles and that opened an bonus puzzles now I'm working on the large size and I have 400 puzzles, then there is another bonus. I started playing with the anagrams and you get Short are 3&4 letter words,Medium are 3,4,5 letter words,Large 3,4,5,&6 letter words to win. Crosswords come in Easy, Medium&Hard. More puzzles with that. Nice to do without all the newspaper ink all over your hands.』

(Great Game)
『Love this game. Helps me use my brain alittle more.. Even my teenager enjoys playing this』

(good game)
『I love crosswords and this is a nice little game. 3 levels so you can match your experience level nicly.』

(Good game, easy to play)
『I really enjoy this game. If you don't 'get' the clues, you can easily figure it out by getting other words in the crossword part. I like the word search as well. The handwriting recognition is good once you figure out how to write an E or an A or others.

My biggest struggle is the anagrams part, because sometimes I have no idea what those words are, that said, once you get that the words are alphabetical, you can usually figure out those last few by trial and error.

When my mom got her DS, I got her this game and she understood and handled it with little to no trials.

overall a great game for those wanting to kill a few minutes here and there』

(great game, plus here's a hint for the anagrams)
『This is my favorite DS game. All three puzzle types are terrific, although the crosswords could be a little more difficult. The wordsearch is fun, and challenging in the expanded puzzles. Anagrams are my favorites, and I can play them by the hour, especially since I worked out a cheat for when I just couldn't find the last word or two.

I worked this cheat out by accident while playing the Anagram games. When you play the Anagrams and just can't find the last word or two, just hit save and quit, and answer "yes" when it confirms your decision. It'll take you back to the main menu, where you choose Anagrams again, and you'll resume your game. Go directly to the pause menu and choose to "give up". It will then fill in your missing words. At that time turn off your game then restart it and go back into Anagrams and your game will still be there, saved. You can then plug in the words that you couldn't come up with before, and you'll complete the game. This doesn't seem to harm my game or my ds, as I've been doing this for well over a year with no problems to this or any of my other games.

Hope this hint helps someone out there!』

(waste of money)
『We purchased this with my daughter DSI and it is a complete waste of money. The charger worked for about four days and has been broken since. The DSI has its own charger so this is not needed. The pouch is cheapish and has not compartments to keep things seperate.』

(starter kit)
『Don't use half of the items in the kit. But the price was good and free shipping.』

(Don't waste your money...)
『We purchased a black DSi for our daughter's birthday and wanted to "girl it up" a little with these pink accessories. Not all that impressed. The plastic is thin and poor quality. Too many pieces she hasn't even looked at, let alone used. The headphones have poor sound quality. The actual case doesn't even hold any games, and those silly little pink plastic squares that are supposed to hold games are just asking to be lost. Don't waste your time or money on this- I can't imagine that Nintendo doesn't make a case considerably better.

(dsi bundle)
『I bought these for my children and they are great. my kids love them and the price was worth every penny.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review
(The title of the game has a dual meaning.)
『A dual meaning, and one of those meanings is the reason it's getting blasted unfairly in game reviews across the Interweb. But I digress. If I had to summarize Nostalgia, I would say it would be what you'd end up with if you tried to put the prequel to Skies of Arcadia on the DS. Of course, very few people played the Dreamcast classic, so I'll try to be as detailed as possible.

Nostalgia takes place in an alternate, possibly near future, version of today's world. You will visit many famous cities, such as London and New York, and landmarks, such as Mt. Fuji and the Easter Islands. Your hero is Edward (Eddie) Brown, the son of Gilbert Brown, a famed adventurer. As the game begins you'll take brief control of Gilbert who is trying to save a young lady from someone. Peril befalls him and the girl is stranded aboard his airship, which later crash lands. Eddie sets out to become an adventurer, primarily to find out what happened to his father and bring him home.

The game being called "Nostalgia" could not be more appropriate. This is as old school as they come. The graphics are reminiscent of Final Fantasy IV on DS, using polygonal 3D drawings. There are no voices, no animated scenes, nothing. It's as barebones as they come. The battle engine is simplified turn-based - meaning there are no flashy combos to be had here. There are some co-op attacks that you get later, much later. Beyond that it's as I said...old school. If you don't like them to be this old school, skip the game, because it's the primary reason the reviewers on gaming sites are blasting the game - because it "sticks too closely to its roots". For some, that's a big positive, for some it's not. The story is very lighthearted, easy to understand what's going on, with not too many plot twists or loopholes. It's easy to tell that the story was not the focal point of creating this game; a lot of it seems thrown together and not really thought out. Characters develop bonds out of nowhere with no real background, and plot development was lacking.

Once you become an adventurer, you'll be asked to take on optional quests. These range from simple search-and-destroy missions to navigating a dungeon to find something else. As you defeat the missions you get experience and an explorer rank - neither of which are critical to beating the game, although the experience does help. In truth, the quests are a front to the true purpose of the game...which I won't reveal as it's a slight spoiler, but bottom line, the quests are not in any way required, none of them. As you defeat enemies you also get skill points, which can be used to build up your special attacks. There is a branching structure to this. For example, you might have one or two skills that have to be at a certain minimum level in order to unlock the next skill. So on and so forth, until you've locked all except your hidden attack, which is unlocked near the end of the game.

Outside of the basic team battles are ship battles. These take place aboard the airship you'll eventually encounter, and are an extremely simplified system where instead of your regular attacks from your team members, each uses a different component of the ship: hull blade, gatling guns, cannons, or orb shooter. If you're ever going to get wasted in this game, it'll likely be the ship battles. The ship doesn't have enough energy to sustain itself once you start getting into the game, and even near the end, some enemies do attacks that will blow away half of your energy with one shot. It's extremely frustrating, especially when you're forced to do ship battles at parts, considering you might have just waxed your way through enemies and bosses in the regular fights.

So with that, here's what's happening:

-=- What Nostalgia Does RIGHT -=-

* Easy to learn, easy to get into.
* Normal battle engine, makes efficient use of the DS's buttons.
* IT calls itself "Nostalgia" and that's what it is - a refreshing trip down memory lane of what RPGs used to be.
* A lot of attention to detail: sprite animations, mouths moving with text, wheelchair movements, etc.
* Using real landmarks was an interesting approach to things (although, see WRONG below).
* More bonus dungeons after you beat the game.

-=- What Nostalgia Does WRONG -=-
* Ship battles are quite annoying and not well done at all. Some won't even let you escape even though you have a path clear.
* The encounter rate is a bit steep. Not Albert Odyssey or Beyond the Beyond bad...but it can get annoying after a while.
* It would have been nice if more cities were represented even if they weren't central to the story.
* Characters develop bonds out of thin air. No build up or development whatsoever.
* The whole ship part should have been more fleshed out. Buy/build your own ship, more outfit options, etc.

In short, is it recommended? Not at its full retail price. I would wait until it's had at least one price drop because quite frankly, while you will get a lot of gameplay out of this one (well over 30 hours with questing and bonus dungeons), it doesn't offer enough compelling content to justify the full retail.

『From the developers who brought Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV to the Nintendo DS comes the next epic handheld role-playing game— Nostalgia! Set in the 19th century — "The Age of Adventure" — Nostalgia immerses gamers into a world filled with treacherous airship battles, elusive treasure hunts, and action-packed dungeon combat. Prepare to visit popular cities such as Tokyo, London, New York and Cairo as you embark on aquest in search of a world yet unknown…』

(Barbie&the three musketeer's - One of the best barbie games out there! I love it!)
『Hello I'm an autistic adult gamer.

Well to start off I love Barbie games&movies&normally if a movie has game I alway's watch the barbie movies first then buy the games. Anyway's I just saw Barbie&the three musketeer's last week. I rented it from my local library. I loved it! I bought Barbie&three musketeer's for my Nintendo DSi&love playing the game. I must say I was floored when I start playing. The graphic's are good there GBA graphic's but what this game lack's in graphic's it more than make's up for in gameplay, excellent storyline, extra's (there are ton's of extra's that use the touch screen I was actually really surprised at how much they put into the extra's), plus the game is read out loud to you so you can listen out loud or turn up the volume&put on your head set's or if you don't want to listen turn down the volume&read the story. So far I love this game to peices I only made it to level 4 so far but there are ton's of level's plus this game has CUT SCENE'S straight from the barbie movie. One of the best barbie game's I have ever played so far. I have a Nintendo DS Lite&a Nintendo DSi if you still your have Original nintendo DS or nintendo DS lite I would highly recommend the following barbie games:

GBA:

The Barbie Diaries - High school Mystery
Barbie Secret Agent

DS:

Barbie - Island Princess
Barbie - Horse Riding Camp
Barbie -&the three musketeer's

These game will work on the original Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite.

Happy Gaming everyone!』

(A good idea in theory.)
『The idea itself doesn't sound bad at all. A guitar hero game, holding the DS like a guitar neck, a special DS controller, I mean, what can go wrong?

Well, I'll admit, I'm not a die-hard fan of the Guitar Hero series or anything, but they are fun games to play for sure. This game, however, just doesn't seem to have that same feeling as the others. The songs, as they are stuffed on a DS cart I'm sure, are pretty horrible quality, and the game itself just seems a little hastily made.

There is also the fact that trying to play the game makes my wrist and arm feeling like they are being stabbed to death. It is not a comfortable game to play in any way at all. I'm not really sure how they could have designed it better, but the way it is now doesn't really work.

Stick to the big console versions of the game, and use your DS for the things it was designed for.』

(A little lacking, but otherwise fun diversion/GH fix)
『I've been a huge Guitar Hero fan since the first incarnation on the PS2, although after GH3 I lost a little faith and moved into (and remain in) the Rock Band camp. I was a little skeptical when I picked up the game as my FIRST Nintendo DS game, but it certainly delivered what was promised. It's not the most "authentic" Guitar Hero experience, but it's just enough to get your rythym based, portable game fix.

The game offers a decent mix of 25 different songs, most of them original recordings. The recordings are decent, although they are best enjoyed via headphones - even cheaper, MP3 player headphones sounded better than the DS's small speakers. Graphically the game is not too impressive but in all fairness it doesn't make a huge difference as you'll probably be focused entirely on the stream of green, red, yellow, and blue buttons to see the clunky looking avatars.

The game's difficulty ranges from laughably easy (even on hard) to frustratingly difficult. The reason for the latter is due to the inclusion of the "Guitar Duel" mode. The DS version of this feature fully utilizes the DS's stylus and microphone in its "punishments" and require more involvement than its console counterpart. It takes a while, but once mastered I found the Duel mode a lot more interesting than the career mode, which seemed fairly short (only 25 songs, no unlockable songs).

The biggest problem I had with the game was the control system. Holding the DS will be a preference different for everyone, and doesn't seem that intuitive. Additionally using the stylus was hit or miss - sometimes it worked flawlessly, other times it never really registered. This was the biggest reason in my markdown to a 4.

Overall the game is fun, albeit short. I wasn't expecting a whole lot, but the game manages to capture some aspects of its full-fledged counterparts admirably. I recommend the game for anyone who needs to get their GH fix, even while on the road, although if you're looking for very responsive controls or a huge selection of songs you may want to wait for the price to come down a bit.』

『purchased for my eight year old son to replace a broken cord panel. Product identical to one newly purchased at half the price. extremely satisfied.』

(Does not work with the Nintendo DSi)
『The included hardware has adapters for the Nintendo DS Lite and Nintendo DS, but none for the DSi. That is not obvious from the product information.

This review and rating is specific to playing this game on the DSi. It may work quite well for the older consoles and you should read the other reviews for that.』

(Review by 11 year old girl)
『This game isn't all it's cracked out to be! You get bored of it easily. I unlocked all of the songs within my first 2 weeks of playing. The medium difficulty is too easy for me and the hard difficulty is way too hard. You can't even slow down the songs in practice mode, it's full speed ahead from the beggining. I was going to do multiplayer with my brother, but you have to buy another whole game and guitar grip. I didn't want to spend another [...] bucks on a game I barely even liked! But I guess the game is OK, I like to sing along with the All Star song. ;) Overall, I give it 3 stars, the game is just OK.』
『Rock out to Guitar Hero on the DS with the Guitar Hero Guitar Grip and local wireless multi-player modes. Use the stylus to strum the touch screen like a true rocker. Select from a variety of classic rock, pop and alternative rock favorites. Guitar Hero: On Tour for the DS features over 20 monster tracks. Pick from 4 different game play modes. Single Player Mode: Prove your guitar shredding skills while navigating through Career or Quick Play modes. Multiplayer Modes: Players can play: Face Off, Pro Face Off, Guitar Duel and Co-op. Guitar Duel Mode: Battle it out with different attacks, including DS-microphone and Touch Screen attacks. Practice Mode: Practice using the Guitar Hero Guitar Grip to nail those tricky solos.』

Handheld gamers can now unleash their inner rock star withGuitar Hero: On Tourfor Nintendo DS. You can enjoy the unique Guitar Hero experience and show off your shredding skills with a diverse set of tracks that encompass classic rock, alternative and pop hits. The game comes with the revolutionary Guitar Hero Guitar Grip that fits into the DS and brings new thrills to handheld gaming.

(one of my fav ds games EVER!)
『I played the original pokemon ranger and was very happy when pokemon ranger shadows of almia came out. I love the pokemon ranger games and prefer it compared to the other pokemon games. In the game pokenom ranger shadows of almia you play a pokemon ranger, some one who protects all pokemon from harm. The game uses a capture stylus that is used to capture pokemon and gives a very interactive feeling, unlike in other pokemon games where u just watch pokemon battle. The capture stylus is used by making circles around the pokemon with your ds stylus until the pokemon is captured. Different levels of pokemon require a certian amount of circles drawn, the harder the pokemon the more number of circles. In the begining of the pokemon ranger shadows of almia game you go to "ranger school" which is very fun even if you already played the the first game and knew all the controlls. Once you finish "ranger school" you start the game. In the game you have one "partner pokemon", a pokemon that will stay with you and can help you capture pokemon by using there special powers. Along with partner pokemon you also have "friend pokemon" which are pokemon that you have captured, but friend pokemon cant stay with you forever you have to give them up once you leave an area. There are no "levels" inthe game, but there are missions. Some missions took more time than others but over all they where very easy and i was able to beat the game in less than a day. Even though the game was short it didnt mean it was not super fun! Once your finish all the missions and get to rank 10 (the highest rank the you can recive in the game, you get it by completeing all the missions) u can:
A.download new missions through wifi
B.contuine and complete all the quests (small tasked asked to do by the townspeople)
C.test your ability in the ranger battle area where you have to try to capture tough pokemon (only avaiable after completeing all missions)
D.complete your pokedex
F.start over and replay the game (yes it is so fun it makes you want to play it again)
so even once you complete all the missions you never run out of things to do. This game is probably one of the best games for ds and I will continue to play it over and over and it will continue be as much fun as the first time I played it.』

(Fun but tricky)
『Hubby bought me this game with my ds so it was one of the only games I had to play. I have since beaten most of the game and find it interesting but really tricky.
You have to be super careful with your stylus to make sure your circles work properly. And it's frustrating not to know what pokemon have useful abilities and which don't. And I refuse to spend [...]or more on a massive book to go with the game.
I did find that gamefaqs had the walk through which helped immensely.
The people talk way to much and once they've said something good luck getting them to tell you a second time!
If you like the original pokemon and want to explore another realm of it then go for it. If you prefer the old game I don't think you'll like these as much!』

(Best game in the world)
『This game is amazingly sweet.I love it when I get new partner pokemon. But I get stuck capturing Toxicroak and Rampardoes, but its more challenging when you capture the legondery pokemon at the end of the game. But still its the best game ever!』

(Surprisingly addictive)
『*Just a side comment, I havent ever played the first Pokemon Ranger game, so this review is going to be strictly about my feelings of Shadows of Almia*

Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia was one of the first games I bought for my DS. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by it.

First off I'd like to say that I originally got into Pokemon when it first came out about 10 years ago. The show was awesome and the Pokemon Red and Blue versions were so innovative and fun to play. So it is pleasantly surprising for me to tell you how much I enjoy the spin off this game takes from the "regular" pokemon games such as red, blue, gold, silver, sapphire, etc. Instead of becoming a pokemon trainer who's ultimate goal is to collect every pokemon in the known universe as well as becoming a Pokemon Master, the player is allowed to choose between a boy or girl character who instead chooses to become a Pokemon Ranger.

Pokemon Rangers are different from Pokemon Trainers in the fact that instead of capturing pokemon with a pokeball to use to advance your team and work with to make stronger, a Ranger captures pokemon with a poke disc, befriends them, uses their abilities to help them take care of certain situations, then releases them to go back to wherever it was they came from. However Rangers still have a special "partner pokemon" that travels around with them constantly. There are many partner pokemon a ranger can use throughout the game, but a ranger can only keep one partner pokemon with them at a time. The basis of the Shadows of Almia is to become the best Pokemon Ranger you can manage by completing missions and quests given to you by random characters throughout the game.

The game is a lot of fun and very addicting. However the only negative things I can think of about this game are that it does end up becoming very repetative after a while. Especially if for some reason you make a mistake somewhere and have to back track to capture a pokemon you need with a specific poke assist so that you can advance to the next area. And the constant circling with the stylus to capture pokemon can make your wrist hurt after a while, so if you notice your arm getting tired make sure to take a break. Also I feel the game is relatively short and pretty easy to get through.(Which I guess could be a positive or negative feeling depending on how much you enjoy the game.) It only ended up taking me around 36 hours to beat as opposed to 100+ hours on the other pokemon games.

Regardless, when I picked up this game it was hard for me to put down. I just had to continue and get as far as I could in one sitting before finally tearing myself away long enough to get some sleep. Overall I feel this is a great game for anyone who enjoys a little bit of Pokemon in their lives.』

(Very Fun)
『Compared to basically most of all the other pokemon games, this is definitely something out of the routine. And I really like that.
With the missions and quests that you get, it's just sort of something new every time~ and it's great being able to see the pokemon before you have to battle it, that way you can avoid them (the slower ones anyway) and not have to spend time fighting or running away when you don't want to do that in the first place.

I just really enjoy this game, but I warn! If you don't have something protecting your touch screen, you really should get it, because doing all the "capturing" will seriously wear out your screen faster.
I've been playing the game for a few days now, and my protection seal already has a lot of circular scratches on it hahah. That is the only downside of this I see.』

『In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, you once again play as a Pokémon Ranger, working to help people, Pokémon and nature in a new area called the Almia Region. Starting out as a Student Ranger, you quickly earn the title of a full-fledged Pokémon Ranger. As you succeed in more and more missions, you will aspire to become the highest Ranger rank: Top Ranger. Along the way you meet and capture all kinds of different Pokémon.
