(Final Fantasy III = Great Game)
『Final Fantasy III's first release in America, and an awesome one as well. I've played some of the original games and it follows the map design very well. One of the differences is that you can run in eight directions instead of four. The other big difference is that the map is in 3D. Those are all that I found though. Menu design is the same as well, you can only save when in the world map, and quicksave is available anywhere. When in a city or a dungeon, you're not limited to four directions again, but all directions are available. The touch screen is available for movement as well as the D-pad. I would highly suggest this game.』

(FF III Not for the faint of heart)
『This game is incredibly difficult. I only recommend it for serious strategy players with lots of patience. While it can be totally frustrating it is also very addictive. An online guide is a must have to find hidden idems, LIKE SWORDS IN A CLUMP OF GRASS. Pretty good music and graphics, cool job system. Totally random attack powers, will die a lot, and have no idea where you are going or what your doing at points. story is not well developed, you are saving the world imagine that. As I said I have become addicted to the game despite its flaws. A must have for FF Fans.』

(Great Old School RPG)
『Let me start off by saying I've played a ton of games on my DS over the past 3+ years and this is by far one of the best looking games on the system. You may hate the gameplay, but you'll agree this is one of the top 5 graphically impressive games you can get on a handheld.

CONTROLS: You can use either the stylus or the buttons. Both schemes work well and I find myself using a combination of the two.

GAMEPLAY: Like every other Final Fantasy adventure (especially the older ones), you'll be spending the vast majority of your time leveling up, searching for items, and talking. If you try to fly through the game without leveling up your characters or equipping them with better stuff, you're going to be at the start screen before you know what hit you. That's a core theme in every FF game. Love it or hate it.

GRAPHICS: Like I said before, this is a very beautiful game. Colors are vibrant and look better then most N64 games did. Only complaint is most the time the top screen is blank. When it is used though it is very nice.

REPLAYABLILITY: It's going to take you a long time to beat it if you even can. If you do manage to finish, you'll probably be ready to play something else for a while.

CONCLUSION: I picked this up for under $10. If you can do the same and know what kind of game you're getting yourself into, you should be happy.』

(strait foreward storyline to start a more complexly developoed series)
『FF3 is one of three games telling how the crystals came into being and how they are threatened. IV is the first to move away from this direct storytelling, i say direct as in not "a joke" or "stupid" as some have pointed which bothers most real gamers who played in the 1980' 1990's and are not so spoiled as kids now. The main plots are strait foreward, but a good start to more grandiose stories later on, as in 4 or 6 and the sucessors to them. As with anything you -start- with a simple plot and work up to the big stuff. The "3D" graphics are spectaular for a gameboy anything but the characters are cutzy dolls and look girlish though i ignor this and play the game for it's dialogue and gameplay element. Even if animea is compelled to draw thier male leads as girlie, they could at least make them less so than these(particularly "Luneth" who I call "Lameth") In the case of these "paperdolls' I would have just kept the original way. The "Avatars' (portraits you never see) are good, just the "figurines" are lame. This game is like FF5, you use "Jobs" to distinguish one PC from another. Yet in FF5 you can (sometimes, not all) compliment one job while taking another, not here, a warrior who was once a thief, for instance, cannot steal, no matter what level a thief he was until he returns to that profession. Thier is no use in switching jobs for a unique ability otheer than doing the task at hand, as in shrinking yeilds nothing unless you are a mage, not a fighter. Fighters can't do well at 2" tall magic works the same at any height. This is good, though for some odd reason changes during Cecil's rein in FF4 where "toads" and "Pigs" fight pretty well against "giant flame lizards" or what. though this is a recap, plotwise, of FF1,and 2 it is still interesting in how you carry this out via quests, and subplotts, a good game element not in storybooks. It's not what you do that is interesting it is HOW you do it! FF1 was merely wondering around a huge ridiculously laid out map for citys to find quests in about the crystals, ff2 was a bit more complicated in these quests, now you have most characters having agendas, not just "Larry Darrel/Darrel(an old joke from us 1980's gamers). Each of the four adventurers as well as most key NPC's have a big agenda(teaching the value of live and let live), they are not just there for the player. That, more than the main plot is what makes FF3 a good game and set apart from FF1/2. RPG's don't need a particular plot just good way of telling it. the graphics i won't go into, as that is not what truely makes a game, though they are nice, it is odvious they are very good and better than the original even better than the original ff4/2 which for 1990 was spectacular!』

(What kind of message are young girls getting?)
『As an adult who loves makeup and nintendo games I figured this would be a fun game to kill time with. I was truly wrong, the beginning tutorial was helpful but not necessary there should be an option to skip it. While putting makeup on the clients, at times I could barely tell the difference once the color was applied. One plus of the game is that when they describe what kind of look they're going for, you can make a judgement call on what colors and density to use.

Another problem was the lack of skin ranges, I played this game for about an hour and not a single skin tone other than white was shown. There was a serious lack of diversity in the game. And the entire thing about "I need to impress a boy, make me over" statement made me somewhat upset. Some of the reasons for wanting makeup were simply silly, "I have a new job, I need a new look." No you don't, you should be worried about your performance at your new job not your makeup. As a young female adult, this isn't something I want my younger cousins to hear or feel that they need to imitate. Impressing boys with exterior looks isn't something that needs to be imposed on girls. I'm starting to feel that these imagine games are simply doing nothing for young girls but letting them grow up with a distorted idea of what being a female means.』

『I got Imagine Makeup Artist when I saw it at a store, thinking I'd enjoy it a lot because of the sheer cuteness of the style. And I was right!

At the beginning of the game, you're asked to choose the type of girl you want to be from three choices, but it doesn't really matter, because later on you'll be able to buy new hairstyles and outfits for your character.

The one thing is, it can get a little bit tedious scrolling through the game's large amounts of dialogue, especially the makeup lessons and tests. But the good thing about it is that the game controls are very easy to grasp quickly. You just use your stylus to apply mascara, eyeshadow, lipstick and so on.

I also enjoyed the fact that your character can hang out and go on dates with the three male characters in the game, who you can encounter by going to different spots around the town. If you go on enough dates, the boy's like of you will increase.

Image Makeup Artist certainly isn't for everyone. There are long spaces of dialogue, tough requests and the game is relatively short, since each month you are at Makeup Manor is divided into two section with a Weekend feature in between. (For example the game goes from Early September, to a Weekend, to Late September.) Its graphics are cute and relatively well-done, but at times the game is a bit repetitive because a lot of the requests are similar or the same. At times, it has minor glitches - if you click on one request, the request won't load and you'll have to turn off the game. However, the game overall was a great purchase, and three months later it's still fun!』

『I've played a few of the Imagine titles, and I would say this might be my favorite. You can customize your character by altering their hairstyle and color, as well as their outfit and makeup. The main goal of the game is to take care of clients by giving them the appropriate makeup style they ask for. The process of applying makeup is very fun, and allows for a decent amount of customization. When you aren't doing that you can go around the town and flirt with boys, and do mini-game part time jobs, and hear fashion "advice." The advice isn't the greatest, and occasionally the customer's requests can be difficult, it doesn't block you from continuing though. Overall this is a quality game that I would reccomend! Lots of fun and very customizable and the characters are very cute and have a large range of emotions.』

『The game is fun and entertaining. Love the mini games.

This game could of been perfect had the makers included some kind of magnifying tool to use on searching for small things, like bugs, keys, etc.

While playing I find the things I can see and for the little stuff, I use my own magnifying glass for the small things. Would of been very helpful if the game actually had one built in. How hard could that of been?

All in all it's a fun and entertaing game. Just some things are hard to see.

This game is very similar to The Forgotten Ruins.』

(May Be More Fun For Adults Than Kids)
『It has been several months since I received this game. I held off writing my review because I wanted to be sure each of my children tried the game after I finished it. You see, I rather enjoyed the game myself. It's an addictive, yet somewhat repetitive seek and find game where you, the main character, are a detective in search of an art thief. There are many objects, treasures and keys to be found, and you get to play a handful of typical memory/tile games. Overall I found it quite interesting and fun but my children don't agree with me at all. I have a boy (age 9) and two girls (ages 12 and 15), which have all taken their turn playing this game. My son completed the game in about two to three days, while both of the girls simply lost interest within the first couple of days. All of my kids said it just didn't have enough "action" to hold their interest. My son said "It's boring to be a detective looking for an art thief." He concluded, "It would be better if you were looking for a killer or a car thief or something."

I think this game is worth playing and I'm sure some people will love it, while others just will not care much for it. It's a great brain exercising game but I think many adults may like it more than kids actually do. I can't speak for other parents out there but from my perspective this game is just not exciting or unique enough for my children. If your children like mystery and puzzle games then they may very well enjoy this. If they prefer battle, adventure or arcade style games then this may be a flop for them. I am giving it 3 stars overall. 3 stars for creativity, 3 stars for fun but only 2 stars for the level of challenge.』

『Wasn't sure I would enjoy this because it was a bit different from MCF: MillionHeir, but it is good. I still go back and play it, the unlimited games since I have finished the puzzle portion. If you like Seek&Find this is enjoyable.』

『this was a disappointment. it was over way too quickly. i enjoy these types of games very much. this one is fun but in 3 days i had it solved. thats way too quick. my only consolation is that i didnt pay full price for it. it also taught me a lesson....not to purchase this type of game again. it just cannot sustain my interest as long as id like. i did like that is used words i had to google (moai, dromedary, etc) and described some things in a way that made me think (Split for Soup=a pea pod). they should limit the hint button usage...that woulda helped a bit.』

If you think it's going to be one of those racing games where one button is accelerate, ones break, and then steer them around the track, then you will be sorely mistaken. If thats what you are after, try "Cars: Mater-National" as that is what you'd think these games would be, and the type of games found on this version im reviewing here should be side mini/games on the "Cars: Mater-National" version.』

『This game is way too advanced for my first grader. She is a big Hannah fan and a good reader for her age, but there was no way she could handle reading all the text that explains the game. Games that require constant adult intervention are no fun for kids or parents!!! This might be great for older girls, though ...』

『I found this game fun but it was to easy. I beat the game in less then a day. While it is a game that i will play again i had hope based on the promotion that it would be more then it was. I was a little disappointed that the ad is more for the wii game not the ds (i think they should point out in the ads that the two games are not exactly the same) so the game did not have some of the levels i expected it to.
If you liked the highschool musical games and the other hannah montana games then you will like this one.
I recomend this game for any hannah montanna fan.

『I got this game for Easter and it was fun at the first concert(which was at the beginning of the game). When you are in the concert you can dance, sing, drum, play the guitar, and the keyboard. After the first two songs you perform Miley's dad thinks she needs to go visit her grandma's farm in Tennessee. Then the screen turns black and you are Miley at her grandma's house. You can help Lucas, one of the farm workers build a chicken coop and earn money to spend on clothes and help grandma with the fundraiser to save the Meadows from a mall being build there. Then grandma tells Miley to go to the fair. Jackson calls at one point in the game and tells Miley he is being attacked by ostriches. You go to the petting zoo and help him earn money to spend on pretty clothes. You can design all the clothes you collected and make them prettier. To do that during the game, press the clothes hanger on the touch screen and press Hannah. Go to the plastic model in her bus to start. Anyway ,THIS IS AN AWESOME GAME FOR HANNA MONTANA LOVERS!』

『So I got this for my niece because she likes HM and I realized I had about 2 hours to pick her out a gift if it was going to arrive on time.
She was ecstatic when she opened it up - shes had a lot of fun playing it so far. The little mini-games are easy enough to understand and they're actually pretty fun.
I've never written a review, but after seeing a 1-star review saying a 7 year old couldn't read the text I felt compelled. My niece is by no means a child prodigy and she seems to have gotten it just fine. And lets be honest - does she understand or does she just play to have fun? The story probably follows the movie and I think if she was really into the story aspect she'd be able to get it.
Anyway, I'm going to live out my small moment of glory of being the cool uncle. If you've got a little girl who likes HM, this is a good pick.』

I bought it thinking it might help her with the Duke/Tip test she will be taking in a week...the Explorer Test (for 5th graders) and found it was REALLY a fun game (if you like learning trivia/facts).』

『Great game, I liked the music better in the Grade 3,4 one. I use this like brain coffee, to get my mind going. It's a great Quiz game that has English, Math, Science, Geography,History, and a "Grab-bag" or pot luck category.

I play in Brain mode, which allows me to select one category and the number of rounds I want to play. Each round is 5 questions. Really nice, for quick&easy playing, say, if I'm waiting for class to start, or at the drive thru at McD's during lunch.

Game play is simple (they just ask you questions in Brain Mode, but it also has a "Quest" mode which is like a story) and not "themed" like the Are You Smarter than a 5th grader series.

Best thing about this product is it has a great depth of questions. I've played the 3,4 and the 5,6 many many times and have yet to get duplicate questions. This game has a question bank that is about twice the size of the Are you smarter than a 5th grader game.

Again, the questions are challenging, getting 5/5 right isn't as easy as you think! --I'm hoping they'll come out with a highschool edition!』

『I got this game was on a special deal. Decided I had nothing to loose. It is great and I am sad to say I cannot just snap thru it. I do mostly brain games and have a desire to challenge my brain.

Well this does just that. I'm 53 and I do not get all the answers right. What they learn in 6th grade now is like what I learned in 12th grade. If you get a chance to add it for a few bucks you will not be disappointed.

It is fun in presentation and the questions are complicated. It's not babyish by any means. I am enjoying it. Once I master a game then I sell it back and let someone else enjoy it and I can get another challenge.

Great for 5th grade and up...up to 99. LOL

Mystery P.I. Portrait of a Thiefis a single player puzzle game for Nintendo DS and DSi which mixes classic seek and find puzzle play with an engrossing crime theme in which players are tasked with exposing an artful thief. The game is packed with over 1,600 objects, hidden within 70 puzzles of various types, across 18 locations. Players must find objects and answers hidden throughout the gameplay environment in order to solve the mystery. The game also features four mini-games and two unlimited game modes.

Puzzle play action inMystery P.I. Portrait of a Thiefconsists of a series of timed chapters linked to the mystery of who raided the art collection of your client, Kensington Billingsley. The goal in each chapter is to find a set list of items and answers hidden throughout the urban landscape of the gameplay area and solve any additional puzzles that are presented to you along the way before your allotted 30 minutes runs out. Each list consists of ten items, which are displayed on the DS' top screen and are ticked off the list as you find them. The actual puzzle-solving happens on the lower touchscreen of the DS/DSi, where players can use either the DS stylus or button combinations to identify hidden items and answers. Along with seek and find puzzles, where players have to find specific objects hidden in a larger jumble of items, the game also features word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, pair matching challenges and more. Players start the game as a rank amateur sleuth, but with success rise in status and gain points. Along with the challenge of seeing how many can be accumulated, points are also valuable in that they can be used to buy hints when/if players get stuck.

『These cases are great! Fits the product like a glove and leaves openings for all the ports and buttons. The only thing that isn't 100% easy to access is the volume as the case has some depth to it so the opening for the volume at the side is in a bit of an indentation. You can still adjust volume easy enough you just cant use your thumb to do it. It does look really nice though and gives some much needed color and protection to the DSI. It doesnt come with any screen protection which I personally don't mind as they just interfere with the sensitivity of the bottom screen for me.. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the volume control and also due to the fact that this is metal and as such does give your dsi a bit of weight that you notice. Overall though I love it and would buy again!』

『I bought this game for my 6 year old son and thought it was a good purchase right up till I heard one of the game characters tell my son to "Push the d**n button!". I'm not a prude but was not amused by a game aimed at young kids using that kind of language. As far as the game goes, he said it was fun at first but quickly became boring.』

(Great game)
『My son isn't a huge dinosaur fan, but loves this game. He says this game is the same style as the pokemon games which are his favorite. You have to dig up bones, create dinosaurs, and battle. We got it for a great price, and I was very surprised by how much my 8 year-old son loved the game.』

They both really like it. The graphics of the dinosaurs are very realistic and very detailed - I was impressed with the graphics.
One of my sons is a huge dinosaur fan - so this is a dream come true.
My older son - who is 9 - doesn't play with it as much - so maybe its not - advance enough for his age.
I didn't give it a 5 - b/c(and I did not personally confirm) my sons have told me that they can't name their dinosaurs (which they could for all their pokemons-in their pokemeon games)and they wished that they could.
