(Daughter loves the game)
(This Game Sucks!)
(Boring, Boring, Boring!)
(Boring!) I love almost all imagine games except Interior Designer. This game is fun because its like watching a movie star come to life on the red carpet. You get to pick and design the clothes which I like. Its very involved. I haven't finished playing it as yet but so far I give it 2 thumbs up. My daughter got this for her birthday and loves it. She will play it for hours. Great price too!!! I wanted this game because I thought it was like a "choose-your-adventure" type game where you're given various scenarios, you make your choices and the game adjusts, and gives you one of its various endings. My husband got this for me as a christmas present, because he knew how much I wanted it, and that's the ONLY reason why I'm keeping it. Other wise it would've went back the same week. It kept me busy, but the longer I played, I realized the game has absolutely NOTHING to do with being a celebrity. You play these dumb games over and over while you're supposed to have interviews, dates with your Hollywood "Hunk", and you're only given minimal choices when it comes to choosing managers, stylists, and your apartment decor. I feel they could've at least made it more appealing by letting the gamer choose their situations and actually answer interview type questions while the dumb games could've been used as a means to earn bonus points (NOT FANS). And don't let me forget, the graphics are not so hot either. You're supposed to create different fashion looks for your fans but how can you tell what looks good when it looks like you have a crooked smile or missing teeth everytime you zoom in? Vague instructions, how are you to know what the game is even asking for? No way to tell. I actually tried to play a 2nd time, and to this day, I have not finished it. The game sucks. Save your money. Buy something else instead. NY Fashion Designer is better. This Xmas I'm asking for diamond earrings. This game is soooo boring! Don't be mislead by what the game is about, as I bought it thinking you would get to actually be the person attending the premieres and dates and choosing what your character does and so on. But this game is not like that at all! It is kind of like a dance mat with a touch screen. Everytime you get a new level such as "first date", "first premiere", "dance all night", etc. You have to touch the pictures with your stylus when they hover over them. It is soooo boring! The only thing you get to choose is the look of your character, but even then there aren't many choices to start with. All of the outfits are ugly and not very customizable and the hairstyles are pretty much all short with limited colours. Your manager doesn't give you any advice like it says, he just tells you what to do and you have no choice in the matter. So overall this game was a waste of money and I do not recommend it to anyone! I really like the Imagine games and I was hoping this one would be fun too. But it is very repetitive and very boring. You have to try to make the "A List" and you to go parties and do different events. But the only way to do it is to play the same game over and over. It is okay for about ten minutes and then it isn't fun anymore. Go with the good imagine games like Figure Skater and Ballet Star. Skip this one. Experience all the glamour and fun of being a celebrity! Maintain your A-list celebrity status and get invited to fabulous parties, hang out with other celebrities, and get spotted at the hottest nightclubs or on a hot date. Walk the red carpet in the trendiest outfits and smile for the paparazzi! Rerations < Imagine Movie Star >

(Battery for Nintendo DS Lite)
(Waste of Time)
(Rechargeable battery for DS) for $2 can beat it! it fit fine in the d.s! i paid x for shipping but needed in 5 days and came on time! seam to hold a charge for long as the nitendow battery that came with it! it works and was shipped quickly... held a charge for same duration as Nintendo stock card (I did not time it exactly, but was not a significant difference) The only problem I had with this battery was the screwdriver that came with it. It did not fit the screw in the game. I had an eyglass kit with several size drivers, so did not have a problem changing out the battery. It is a good Idea to have an extra battery. I just got the DS (i) and I haven't tried to use the battery on it yet. The service from Amazon links was fine. The product came in record time and fit correctly. I don't play this game and I don't think it is fun. I was trying to repair a Nintendo game for a grandchild and was not successful. Apparently the battery was not the problem. These little game things are not all they claim to be. However, I have no quarrel with service or product. The rechargeable battery works just fine. Thank you for your prompt mailing of this product. (Sally Salon Nintendo DS)
(Too Easy) I like this game. Sally's Salon is easy to play but challenging as well. The graphics are great, the characters large and the scene clear
http://www.gamerkyle.com/2009/03/game-review-sallys-salon.html I had played the game before online during a free trial session, so I decided to buy it to play it whenever I wanted. The day I received the game in the mail I actually completed the entire game later that night. I enjoyed playing the game while it lasted, but it was too easy. This game was given as a gift and they seem to enjoy very much I am told. Awesome game! It originally was a PC game. I waited for over a year before Nintendo released it for their Nintendo DS. Great game to take with you on car trips or waiting at the Dr's office. Not just for kids as I am in my 40's! I loved Diner Dash and Cake Mania so I thought this would be a great game too. It is very similar in style, but way too easy when compared to those. I never had to repeat a level and finished the entire game in less than 5 hours. I passed it along to my third grade niece because I figured it was made for kids. Sally's Salon, a virtual beauty salon click management-style game, provides players with an escape from the daily grind. In the game, Sally beautifies everyone from little old ladies to punk rockers in ten unique salon locations where players are challenged by 50 levels of frantic, but fashionable, fun. Players can direct Sally through a virtual beauty salon by performing beauty services, hiring employees, and customizing salon services. Rerations < Sally's Salon >

(this game drives me nuts)
(Warning: Addictive)
(Dungeon Crawling Farmer)
(Not as much fun as other Harvest Moon games.) For those gamers who don't know what a Harvest Moon game is, they are basically farming simulation games, where you manage a farm by growing crops and tending animals. You start out poor, unskilled, and single, but over time you can become wealthy, a skilled farmer, and married. There are also various events, such as holidays, which periodically occur to add some variety to the game.
Rune Factory is a Harvest Moon game with an additional twist - there is a combat component in the game! The combat is actually quite important, since you fight through monster-infested caves to improve your character, obtain useful items, and even grow crops in them. Do not expect a fighting system as polished as, say the Legend of Zelda, since combat is actually quite rudimentary. Nevertheless, the combat is reasonably entertaining and is passable as a new game mechanic.
The art style of this game is also notably different than typical Harvest Moon games. Most Harvest Moon games are more cartoonish and child-oriented, but this game seems to be inspired by more mature anime. The graphics are also in 3D, instead of 2D, and for the most part look great.
While Rune Factory manages to get a lot correct, there are some aspects of this game which could have been more polished. The main characters all look detailed and interesting, but the monster models are mostly bland and generic. There are also a few translation issues in the game (which is actually quite common amongst Harvest Moon games) which, while not fatal to the gameplay, are still distracting. The inventory management system could have also been streamlined a bit more, especially given that the DS has touch-screen controls, since you will spend a substantial amount of time managing items in the game.
If this all sounds somewhat strange, rest assured, this game is enjoyable and entertaining if you are into games which allow you to steadily improve the skill and power of your character. While Rune Factory isn't the best designed game out there, it manages to do everything well enough to keep the main draw of the game - improving your character and establishing a life on the farm and in the local town - entertaining and enjoyable. The main storyline of the game easily packs in dozens of hours of gameplay, and after you finish that you can spend an indefinite amount of time playing more. If you're a fan of Harvest Moon games, give Rune Factory a try. The combat system is somewhat odd, but the core of the game is still similar to previous games in the Harvest Moon series.
I really don't think this game is much. The monsters terrify me and the storms blow in so much stuff it takes forever to get it out.Finding a girlfriend is pretty easy but just upgrading your house takes 2,000 pieces of wood and 200,000 g. So, if I were you, I'd go and play a game with more to it and things that are cheap and things that don't terrify you! This game is very cute, mostly non-violent, and very addictive. It definitly teaches time management and how to use the resources you have at hand. Only down side, if you could call it that, is that i would like to be able to choose the sex of the main charactor. You probably want to look up a walkthrhough online to go with the game (Or if you have money to burn, buy one). It's definitly helpful to have a list of seeds, seasons and growth periods, along with what items are available for sale on what day. I actually picked this game up on a whim and now I'm glad I did. The Rune Factory games are now my favorite.
Unlike the usual Harvest Moon games which can drag on painfully to no certain end, this game has a storyline and a specific goal you are working towards. Once you reach it, you can choose to continue playing for the fun of it or you can retire in triumph.
In order to advance the plot you have to explore caves teeming with monsters that you can "befriend", no cow/chicken/sheep buying necessary, and no endless digging to be done (which got boring fast in the other Harvest Moon games).
Similar to the other Harvest Moon games, you can court a girl (you have to play as a guy), marry her and have a child. You work your own farm, buy and sell, collect items, hobnob with the different characters, fish, whatever you want.
An enjoyable RPG that is a successful mix of dungeon crawling and farming simulation. Highly recommended for both Harvest Moon fans and non-Harvest Moon fans. When I first heard about a 'fantasy' Harvest Moon game I was really excited, since I've been a long-time fan of the Harvest Moon series. And as I started playing Rune Factory I enjoyed myself ... but not as much as I enjoyed playing some of the other Harvest Moon games. Sure, the graphics are way better - less cutesy, bright and colourful than, say, Harvest Moon DS, but still eye-catching and a pleasure to look at. The music's fine, and some of the typical activities of Harvest Moon games (sowing seeds, ploughing, watering, caring for animals etc) carry over well from previous Harvest Moon games. But all in all I felt the game was missing something. It just didn't have the appeal for me that Harvest Moon DS, or Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life had. The characters in Rune Factory were less likable and quirky than the characters you find in HM: AWL and DS, and I found myself struggling to select a girl for my character to marry (unfortunate, as marriage always plays an important role in HM games). Also, the main difference between HM games and Rune Factory was the addition of dungeon crawling, and frankly I found that whole side of the game boring and annoying. I didn't want to spend all day down in a dank cave, slashing away at monsters and using up all my carefully hoarded energy points. And since the monsters regenerate every time you leave a dungeon and re-enter it, the whole exercise felt pointless anyway. Summing up, I'd have to say this game is perfectly good, and has many enjoyable features, but it is probably not for everyone. I thought that, since I loved Harvest Moon, I'd love this game. That turned out not to be the case. What I loved about Harvest Moon (caring for animals, growing crops, building relationships with villagers) was still to be found in Rune Factory, but not to the same degree; the addition of monster slashing, which probably made this game for some players, was a disappointment to me. Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon you'll help a young man with amnesia build a new life. Laguna doesn't know who he is or where he comes from, so he goes looking for answers. He meets&befriends a young woman named Mist, who puts you to work on her farm. As you help her tend to the crops, you'll try and build a life for yourself in the Harvest Moon world. (SUPER) My son is a huge Lego Star Wars fan and asked for this for x-mas, his first Star Wars game that wasn't a lego version. He wasn't sure he would like it as much, but he does! He has been playing this a lot since the holiday! Start playing as Darth Vader...that's just awesome...
Game is short enough that the limited force powers available don't get stale.
Can't really "customize" your character. I try to be very discriminating in my gaming purchases. I do not want to spend my money on just anything. Well, I completely misjudged this game. It is very disappointing and I am sorry I spent my $35 on it. Having to use the stylus to swing your light saber as well as use various other force powers is cumbersome at best. It really diminishes the enjoyability of the game. The graphics are decent and the music nice, but the controls really made this game a disappointment for me. Got the game as a gift and finished it in two days - maybe 4-5hrs game play a most. I agree with most of the comments about the gameplay and graphics but at the end of the day, a game is only as good as long as you can play it. This is not worth a purchase. Go borrow or rent it. Star Wars: the force unleashed.. was the game I bought for my son, he like soo much and play inmediatly, Super is the word that describe the game.. The next chapter in the Star Wars saga, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, tells the story of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice, a mysterious figure trained by the menacing Sith Lord, to hunt down the last of the Jedi. Set in the dark times between Episodes III and IV, the story is both a continuation of the prequel trilogy -- exploring the aftermath of Order 66, which called for the immediate execution of all Jedi, and focusing on the continued rise of Darth Vader -- and a direct bridge to the Original Trilogy. The Force Unleashed will forever change the fate of the Galaxy and explain key plot points that directly lead into events in Star Wars: A New Hope. With The Force Unleashed , LucasArts not only introduces a new chapter in the Star Wars saga, but also two completely new and innovative technologies -- Digital Molecular Matter by Pixelux Entertainment and euphoria by NaturalMotion Ltd. (Really good test prep for the SAT!)
(Winner!)
(My daughter liked it)
(Wonderful Prep) I have not played it that long but I was surprised at how much I knew.... Anyway, whether you are taking the SAT or not, I think it is a great way to challenge yourself and simply exercise your brain. So I highly recommend it!!! My son completed futureU rather quickly and found it unchallenging. I then bought him My SAT Coach and he loves it. I find the test prep on this is better and more challenging. With 2000 test questions and 2 full-length exams, I couldn't have asked for more. He enjoys using this so much more than the test prep books as well. This game is a Winner! My Sohpmore son is just entering into the SAT prep/classes/testing whirlwind and this game along with Future U really has made the process so much easier for him. He had been very nervous about the upcoming SAT/ACT/SATII tests but now he feels much more confident in his knowledge of these most obscure questions. He readily "practices" his SAT questions every night using both My SAT coach and Future U and is always quite proud of himself when he gets his "gold" star after completing a section of the game. The game is formated to be fun while educational. The questions are all questions that will be on the exam and as the title says, it is from the Princeton Review which is the best learning tool of SAT's. Any parent who is worried about these standardized tests and know their importance into getting into colleges then this is the game for your child. It has worked for my son in a very positive and easy way. My daughter's friend had to go out and get one too. Thought it was good prep fpr SAT's coming up. I got this game to introduce my Fiance, who was taking the SAT a little late in life, to his DS. He really liked it. It helped him get a really good idea what his score would be when he took it for real and helped him improve his initial one several hundred points. He ended up somewhere in the 90's percentile wise.
His only complaint was that on 1 or two of the questions on the test the answer was actually wrong. It crossed out his answer and gave an explanation as to why the answer he had chosen was correct . . . go figure. Nothing's ever perfect. :) That's why I rated this with 4 instead of 5 stars.
Overall, I'd recomend this item. Get ready for the SATs the easy way. Developed in Ubisoft's Montreal studio and in partnership with The Princeton Review, My SAT Coach helps students prepare for the SAT exams by presenting timed drills and other activities in mini-games. Game scores are tracked and you are given recommendations on how to improve testing performance. It includes more than 2,000 practice questions and two full-length practice exams.

(Gets Old Fast, Poorly Implemented, But Not Too "Horrid")
(Diddy Kong Racing DS)
(Waste of Money)
(This Game is Horrible) This is just as much fun as the origional from N-64...(i think that's where it was.) I am an old school nintendo freak. LOL! My next one I hope I can find, "Donkey Kong Country" My 12 year old son found "Diddy Kong Racing" to be somewhat of a disappointing game after the first few times playing it. He makes the following observations:
Graphics: Good, very colorful and detailed Controls: Easy to master Playability: Great at first, gets boring after a few times. Putting it down few a days helps.
Recommended only if you can find it on sale. I was at the store, originally looking for Mario Kart but then I saw that it was out of stock. I was a little bit disappointed, but I looked around and saw Diddy Kong Racing. I took a chance and bought this game, started playing it, and immediatly got addicted to it. I could not put it down from the minute I slipped the cartridge into my DS! This is a great game for any age, kids to adults. In Diddy Kong, you race around different worlds, for example Dino Demain and try to collect golden balloons. Wizpig the "villian" locks you behind doors so you cannot escape. You have to try and find the keys for each world. You can also race by car, plane, or hovercraft. My personal favorite is plane. I love this game, but the only thing that might drive people crazy is all the different tasks you have to do. Anyway, a great game overall. What a waste of money! The handling on the vehicles are horrible and the races and weapons are pretty weak. Mario Kart is so much better and worth the money. I will return this one. If you are looking for a cheep but okay DS racing game, stay away from this game. For anyone, buying this game is practically burning money. It's that bad. It is probably the easiest game I've bought. A bloated space pig has taken control of Diddy Kong's island paradise, and only you can stop his nefarious plot! Take on the racing challenge of a lifetime as you drive, hover, and fly your way across the massive island. This remastered take on an Nintendo 64 classic is sure to rev the engines of adventure racing fans everywhere! **Diddy Kong Racing DS is the first handheld adventure racing game, a genre that lets you visit new locations, talk to interesting characters, advance the storyline, and search for hidden secrets—all while engaging other drivers in a series of racing challenges to see who is king of the road! customer 's review (Hannah Montona)
(Good !)
(Really fun game)
(all things hannah)
(It was cool) My child does use this a lot - she likes it a lot and uses it a lot in her DS. Good purchase as a gift for a 7 or 8 year old child. My 7 year old girl is thrilled with it, has lot of fun and help her practice her english ! That's good enough for me ! My kids really like this game even though they are kind of over the Hannah Montana thing. I tried it and it is pretty fun. My daughter loves all things Hannah, so this game is no exception. She has enjoyed a lot of playing time with this one (and she isn't really that into video games - she'd rather be outside). My mom bought me this game for Christmas and I absolutely loved it. I finished it Christmas night. The plot is that there's a new singer called Savannah Star and you have to compete with her in a music video contest. You also have to play the guitar. I thought the game was really easy once you got the hang of it though. I'm eleven, so maybe it's harder for younger children. I played it like 10 times now and i still love it. The music is sort of annoying so you might want to turn the volume down. Also, there were no clothes for Miley, but there are tons for Hannah. The graphics were horrible though. I think it was a good overall game though. Help Hannah live out her dreams of becoming a pop star by using the Nintendo DS touch screen to master instruments including lead, bass, rhythm guitars, and drums. (Fun game!)
(great game!!!)
(Distinctive game for DS)
(Perfect game for any fan of the movie CARS!) It's a cute game and it's fun to play. My son loves it and I find myself getting wrapped up in it trying to complete the entire game, which does take a while and then the kid erases the file. LOL I would recommend this. My son loves this game, but he gets a little frustrated with it. He is 5, almost 6, and I wish we would have waited to give it to him until he had more experience with DS games. He really enjoys it when it isn't too difficult, but it seems to get a little hard compared to some other games he has - like the Hot Wheels Beat That game (we LOVE it). This game is a little different to steer and not quite as easy. I know it will be a favorite eventually, it is very cute to watch and listen to the characters! this game is soo much fun. My 9 yr. old and 6 yr. old and even my husband play this game all the time. I bought it used and it was great for the price...We get alot of games new/used because we don't ever use the book that comes with them anyway and a lot of them are in great shape and work great but maybe don't have all the packaging but its fine. I had a lot of fun with this game, doing the challenges and finding all the items around the courses. I have now passd it on to my grandson, who is enjoying it likewise.
Not sure about the diferences between this version and other consol version; I was disappointed by the difference between Cars on DS and Wii/PS2, so am reluctant to read-across from other consols.
Have not tried the multi-player mode. What a fun game! Here's your chance to race all around Radiator Springs as all your favorite CARS characters. As you advance in the story you are rewarded with more CARS cars to choose from as well as the ability to customize the paint job on some of them. This game is fun both played alone or with friends. Great game for the whole family to play! Buy this game, put in the DS and "Git-R-Done"! Cars Mater-National features an all-new International group of racers vying for their chance to compete against Lightning McQueen in the First Annual Mater-National Race Festival, hosted by Lightning's best friend, Mater. Explore the new and improved open world of Radiator Springs, play in the all-new Monster Mode, jump into the fast lane with 6 new International racing competitors, burn rubber on new tracks, and twist and turn your way through new mini-games like Ramone's Rhythmic Rumble and Fillmore's Fuel Frenzy. Go head to head with over 10 multiplayer games. ESRB Rated E for Everyone Rerations < Cars: Mater-National >
