(An Old Classic with a Refreshing Take ...)
(Bit of a Button Masher) This game is fun, and not too dissimilar from the original 1986 version, save for new colorful backgrounds and color-switching dinos. There are 100 levels, with a boss at every 10th level. The controls aren't quite sensitive enough, and you'll find youself committing many suicides until you figure out the controls. However, I cannot recommend this game as there is ABSOLUTELY NO SAVE mechanism - this is frustrating beyond belief. There are little games you can play to continue after you die (and they get progressively harder), but there are no codes or anything that would allow you to pick up where you left off once you lose one of the games or just want to set the DS aside for awhile. I wish I could return this game since I'll never be able to make full use of it. Bubble Bobble: Double Shot is one of the newer entries to the Bubble Bobble/Puzzle Bobble games starring the two cute dragons: Bob and Bub. In this game, you can now play as Bubu, the cousin of Bob and Bub as they venture forth in search for great treasures.
There are two types of people that would be playing this game: those that have played the original, 100 level Bubble Bobble originally in NES (and also ported to other platforms), and those that have yet to do so. For those that have never played the original, you're in for a great treat. For those that have played the original, you will be surprised with the new twist presented here: three bubble types.
The previous reviewer is correct - more strategy and hand coordination is required here, since only green bubbles will work for certain opponents, blue bubbles on others, and orange on the rest. Does this impact the quality of the game? It depends on how much role you think strategy should exist in puzzle games. Does it make the game significantly harder? Yes. Does it make the game less fun? I would disagree. It's just different - fun different.
In the original game, a certain level of strategy is needed anyway since certain levels require proper positioning to make sure that you can blow the bubbles fast enough and trap the monsters fast enough before the time runs out. In this one, you have that same kind of strategic planning required, plus the consideration of bubble types, which can be generated by toggling the L and R button in your DS. If you're playing with others, there will be less toggling across the three types, and if you are playing with two other people, there won't be any toggling at all, since each of you will play either Bob, Bub, or Bubu (Blue, Green, and Orange).
I am a HUGE fan of the original, and I love this new take presented in this game. Definitely give this game a try! Takes a classic and makes it annoying. The game itself might not cause the same reaction in another player, but as a fan of the original NES Bubble Bobble I've updated to the newest players as the titles come out. I was hoping that Double Shot would just offer new boards and puzzles, but they've updated the game to be more difficult and require a bit of additional strategy. Fairly early in the game, you need to toggle (with the L/R) between the three dinos to blow the correct color bubble to capture that enemy. Since two may be advancing, unless you are quick, you actually need to capture and run, capture and run. Later in the game, you may need to switch between dinos in quick succession to blow combination bubbles. When I play Bubble Bobble I'm looking for a simple Tetris or PacMan style game experience. If I want to play a button masher, I'm likely to play something with a deeper story or better graphics, or Mario Party. This doesn't have the pick up and play feeling of standard BB. Additionally, the continue feature is just annoying. It's not a mini game at all, it's hit two targets alternately really fast, then a third. There's no game in that. The other so called mini game for a continue involves hitting the right color bubble out of a pile of moving bubbles. There doesn't seem to be any reason for these except to claim mini games exist in the title. This will probably be the first BB title I've dumped, but if you'd never played BB it would entertain. A perfect re-creation of Bubble Bobble's frantic platforming gameplay, complete with all the secrets and fun that made the original such a classic. Compact levels are spread across the two DS screens, complete with charmingly detailed versions of the series' signature enemies. Rendered in keeping with the original's retro aesthetic, both the level layout and the characters fit the Bubble Bobble style perfectly. Bub and Bob are now joined by newcomer Bubu, as each shoot bubbles in different hues, and can be switched in the blink of an eye with a tap of a shoulder button. A new star bubble has also been introduced which allows the player to change the color of all enemies when burst, with an ability to choose the enemies' color by shooting the star bubble with the player's selected character. Also new is an entirely new method of obtaining a chance to continue once all lives are lost. In addition, several touch screen-based mini-games including bubble-based puzzles and simultaneous three-player platforming make Bubble Bobble Double Shot a must for any DS owner! (totally awesome game for Nintendo DS) This was a excellent choice. Nice price, crisp graphics, a very well done game play, I love it. This is my Nº 1 choice of all the Naruto Nintendo DS games around. I really like this Game better than Naruto: Ninja Council 3. With this Game you can either choose from playing the story mode or the battle mode which gives you a choice of playing against the computer or by yourself. The really cool thing about this game when you choose the option under battle mode of single player you can choose between Naruto,Sakura,Kakashi,Rock Lee,Sasuke,or Neji. You even battle against Nine-Tailed Fox Naruto and Sasuke Curse Level 2. It is so neat that you can use the special jutsus to knock out your opponets and the Substitution Jutsu to defeat your opponet in one shot. Become a ninja master with Naruto: Ninja Destiny. Featuring scenes, characters, and storylines from up to the 140th episode of the TV series, Shonen Jump Naruto, the game also adds new characters and content. Unleash powerful jutsu and use items to fight your way to the top against 16 different characters. With the dual screen, fierce battles can be fought on the top screen, while special power ups can be used on the bottom touch screen. There are 15 different power ups to replenish health or chakra, prevent the enemy from executing jutsu, increase attack power and more! Chain together a string of deadly combos on your way to becoming a proficient ninja master.

(A teen's reveiw.)
(Naruto: Path of The Ninja)
(Want This, But I Live In The UK...) My son thoroughly enjoyed this game. He states that the matches were awesome and the graphics excellent. I first discovered the Naruto series when it debuted on Cartoon Network for the first time. And since then I loved the show, though I have switched to watching it purely in Japanese. But enough of that, now for the review. I wasn't sure about whether or not the game would be any good, considering that before now I had never played a Naruto game of any sort. I was slightly surprised, however, yet happy to learn that it was in fact a decent and fairly entertaining game. And it's not all about fighting - you can also go on mission, have a nice bowl of ramen with a friend, or just try to figure out what's under Kakashi's mask (heheh.)Also, as it states in the description it follows the story line of the first 80 episodes. And it does so well, with some minor alterations. I have few grievances with this game, but enough to dock it one star. The biggest issue is how fast the game goes by. It seems that I went straight from beating Haku and Zabuza to being in the Chuunin exams. Another thing is that, if you haven't watched Naruto or read the manga you could become greatly confused. Various times in the game they make references to occurrences that didn't happen during the game. And the final problem I have with the game is only being allowed to work with 6 of the many characters available. Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, Neji, Shikamaru and Rock Lee... Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed playing each character, I was just hoping to have more variety. But anyway, I loved the game and would highly recommend it to any lover of the anime/manga Naruto. Trust me, you won't be able to put it down! =) This is a fantastic game. I received it within 2 days, the price was outstanding and it made a wonderful Christmas gift for my nephew who loved it. I've heard plenty of good things about this game... and also about the original Japanese game for the GBA, which this is supposed to be an amazingly improved remake of. Not to mention I'm an insane Naruto-fan... lol. But the thing is, I live in the UK... I can't import this game yet. ;_; Please Amazon, hurry up and include overseas shipping! ^.^b Following the story line from the Cartoon Network television show, Naruto: Path of the Ninja for Nintendo DS will allow you to explore the Village Hidden in the Leaves and the world of Naruto as they roam across forests, fields, rivers and mountains. Along the way you will encounter bosses and enemies that you must use your special techniques to defeat. Each of the 6 playable characters will possess a unique time-based combat system and you will train your Ninja team to learn more than 90 different Jutsu techniques. (this game so boring and pointless.)
(Eh. Not bad!!)
(Simple and Kid-Oriented)
(a nice game) Yes, I sold my copy but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy this game because I did! The characters were all different and colorful. The story wasn't too bad and the different planets were cool.
Don't think this game was a piece of cake though because after a while it wasn't. I got confused and tripped up a few times and I almost finished it. I had everyone, the water girl joining last, and I didn't know where to go or what to do so I quit.
Using the DS's lower screen with the little stick to go through menus was fun for a while. The graphics weren't bad but could've been a little better. Controls were easy enough to manage.
3.8 stars. when I first got the game I thoght the graphic in the game were super cool. and the abilities of using magic and all.. then..
1) people just talk so damn much, and when you lose your interest to read all that useless crap and clicking it away.. and you later find out that you've missing something like- you are suppose to go look for some monster or something. then you tap on them again.. some won't repeat it instead tell you to have a nice day!
2) during battle, the game is setted in a program that everybody can only take 1 term, and 1 term only. so when the characters were attacking by the monsters, they can't run a way or defence themselves or anything at all. just stand there and get hit. I mean... WHat the HELL?!!!! I found myself craching the screen with my stylus hoping that might help the defenc. however, that was helpless.. eventho some carrot things rounding around told you it would.
3) some mission just so unclear!! now I am running around wood planet killing whatever monster that shows up; and don't know what the hell I was suppose to do.
don't waste you money on this game. If you are looking to be blown away by graphics, don't buy this game. Even though the game play is solid, the graphics really are horrible. Since I don't give a hoot about graphics, that doesn't bother me a bit. This game was entertaining and has a good bit of humor too! The front of the box does look a little cutesy, but don't let that deter you from purchasing this game. I spent $30 on it at GameStop and was a little disappointed to see that is was over $10 cheaper on Amazon, but I still don't feel ripped off. It starts off a tad bit too easy, but trust me. It gets harder as you progress through the game. All in all, a good solid RPG. This game is a very simple RPG. Very good game for a beginning or young RPG gamer. This game lacks depth in both storyline and character development. Battles are not very strategic and although the boss battles are sometimes difficult they are never impossible. Sometimes there is gap in the information as to what to do next in the game, but the game is so linear it does not take much sleuthing to discover where to go or what to do next. after everything that has said.
I got a lot of enjoyment and fun out of Magical Starsign and while the character design might not be for some. I didnt really find myself focusing on that. I was actually getting it to the characters and all that they were going through even though one of my pet peeves about leads in video games seems to be repeated here...no voice at all. He(she) the head guy in this thing you should hear more from them and about them...like what they are going through and what not as the adventure progresses.
But again it's not enough to keep me from enjoying the game. Where you basically start off as a student at this magical school and are waiting for class. When your teacher says that she needs to tell/show you a few things about magic casting and what not. As she promptly has to go on this very long trip and may not come back from it. This happens the students go on and the teacher doesnt come back from the trip. So they decide to "borrow" these rockets that are all over the school...i have no idea why. But we'll leave it at that.
They all go their seperate ways as the lead character and one of the female characters are able to activate this gate and get access to one of the hidden rockets and take off in search of their teacher. The other students unaware at the time do the same and end up different planets throughout the planetary system. You run across and recruit them back into your party while running down the story of what happened to your teacher and more actually interesting back stories on why she left in the first place eventually come to light.
The battle system is easy to use with the stylus and the menu can be accessed this way also. Magic is big in the game of course. You learn new spells both offensive and defensive throughout the game the come in very handy. You are also able to format your party in different lines..so your more powerful (higher hit point) characters will be in the front able to fight and use magic on a single enemy. While people in the middle can't fight but can use magic to affect enemies all at once and the same for the back row. Which i used for the characters with the least amount of hit points to not take too much damage (still happens sometimes).
The game has a very satisfying ending and i won't tell it or anything. But it's a nice send off to a game that for less than 20 dollars will occupy a good deal of your time as you from planet to planet (7 or 8) i believe.
Its a great game and can be played by people of all ages and is easily accessible and fun to boot. Magical Starsign is a fun new adventure that takes you far out into space, where you'll explore different worlds and become their heroes! The students of Will O' Wisp magical academy have a little problem: Their teacher has mysteriously disappeared. After commandeering a handful of rockets to rescue her, they've wound up on a strange (and sometimes scary) adventure through outer space. Now players must rescue both their classmates AND their teacher -- and just maybe the whole solar system while they're at it. Rerations < Magical Starsign >

customer 's review (Not impressed- worst game out of the 20 ds games we own)
(Little fun)
(Good franchise, but game is lacking when compared to rivals)
(Too much reading!!!)
(disney's the little mermaid : ariel's underseas adventure) I would not recommend this game. My daughter has trouble reading the small print even though she is 7.5 yrs old and my 3 yr old can't read it at all. The screen is constantly popping up with more stuff to read. Sometimes you have to click four or five times just to get past all of the reading. All of my three girls hate this game. There are just much better options out there for children's games--some even in the price range of this game. I gave this game to my daughter. She has 6 years of age. She thinks that this game is very boring My 3 year old daughter asked me to buy her this game for Christmas. She's a huge fan of the DS and can play Super Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Kirby like a pro. So, I bought the game for her. Now, the Little Mermaid is a good franchise in general, and has a very wholesome, family appeal, so I would never think twice about buying a Disney product like that. However, compared to games made by Japanese developers, the play control was not intuitive enough for my 3 year old daughter to enjoy it. She quickly lost interest. And yes, she still plays Princess Peach, Sonic, and Kirby all the time. There is just too much reading for a 5 year old to play this game. And the tasks are quite difficult to understand and complete. My daughter who loves anything Disney put this game down and hasn't picked it up since Christmas day. Disappointed. The reading level is appropriate for a 2nd or 3rd grader. Cute game for age 5-6 but the problem is there is ALOT of reading, which means you sit with your child and do all the reading. We played for about 2 hours on it, and it's cute blowing bubbles, finding treasures and singing.. I really don't like the singing it's hard to get the notes and you have to, to move on. You put the face to the mic and stare at the screen to see if you got the correct note and after 3 or 4 times your getting a headache from being cross eyed looking to see if you got the right note. If your child just LOVES ariel, it's cute, but find it used so you don't spend alot of money on it, you'll be sitting with her for awhile until she memorizes the different things you do. The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure take our favorite mermaid on an aquatic adventure. Uncover a fun mystery as you touch on key moments of the film, with multiple levels of interactive gameplay. Share music wirelessly with other friends, singing into the DS microphone to unlock clues and using the DS stylus to dig up and polish treasure. customer 's review (Not 1600mAh, still pretty ok though for the price)
(DS Lite Battery)
(Make its work)
(Just like it says.)
(1600mah? I think not.) Well, first of all, I was rather surprised to receive a completely different battery than that shown in the image. Perhaps they were forced to redesign the look of it or something since it infringes on the look of the stock battery? Or maybe they were having too many complaints and/or problems. Either way, the seller sent me a very different looking battery, one that looks far more generic and is rated at 1000mAh. I was a bit annoyed at first for not receiving a 1600mAh battery, but upon reading the other reviews and trying this one out, I think I'm actually rather happier because of the seller's choice. I think that even though it looks more generic, it is actually a pretty good battery. It seems to be holding a very good charge. I could say it's a lot better than my stock battery, but admitedly that battery has seen a fair bit of use over a decent amount of time since I bought my DS used, so I can't really say much about it versus the stock, but I can say that for the money I paid I got a battery that I suspect is at least equal to the normal stock battery. Not a bad price really for a lithium-ion battery since those are so proprietary. It's only because of the DS's popularity that you see such a pricetag really. For the amount spent, I'd say getting a 1000mAh battery that actually seems to be 1000mAh is worth it. I now only have to charge my DS about once a week it seems like. Of course, I don't play excessively and every now and then try to plug it up while playing at home anyway. Low Price, Fast Shipping! Product was received in excellent condition. I'm very pleased with my purchase. I had this rechargable battery in my son's DS, works fine recharges fast, it makes its work fine. We have used it for 2 weeks, and have not problem with it.
Brand New. 1600 mAh. vs nintendo's stock of 1000 mAh. Works Perfectly. Lastes for hours. Highly Recommend if you need a new battery. Its a great price, and ships fast. Fits right in your DS and charges in a couple hours. I plugged these batteries into a LiPo analyzer and they can only hold 750mah, not 1600mah as listed. And even then I could only get a couple hours of playtime out of it. ... Take my advise and spend the extra 10 the legitimate 1000mAh battery from Nintendo. customer 's review (This game rules!)
(Good game, low replay value.)
(Video entertainment)
(Mario March of the Minis Nintendo DS game)
(Fun but simple) I love this game so much I think you should make a real Mini Mario! There isn't really anything to do after you beat the game, which is the only negative. Very fun use of the stylus and touchscreen, very fun puzzle game overall. Great game geared for older children. My seven year old loves it. I thought it was more like the original Donkey Kong, but it isn't. My five year old can play it, but she has difficulties understanding the patterns in the game you need to follow. I believe this game is better suited as a beginner game for Nintendo and not a starter game. Ordered this for my grandchildren and they love it. Arrived in great shape, on time. Well pleased. This game is fun, and if you like solving puzzles this game is for you. My only complaint is that even at the highest diffulty setting it really is quite simple. It seems folks love those Mini Mario toys. So much so that the Mario Toy Company has expanded the line to include Mini Donkey Kong, Mini Toad and Mini Peach figures to the series. With all these toys bringing him more money than he knows what to do with, Mario decides to fulfill his lifelong dream and open a theme park called Super Mini Mario World. The opening-day crowd includes Pauline and Donkey Kong, who immediately falls head over heels for the lovely lass. The proud ape tries to show off his Mini DK toy to Pauline, but she picks the Mini Mario toy over his and the jealous Donkey Kong becomes enraged. He smashes the displays, destroys the toys and takes Pauline to the top floor of the amusement park. Players must find Pauline and save the day. Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2 allows players to create their own maps with a new level editor. Once a map is created, players can send it across the world via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Players also can use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to download maps created by others, check out a player-ranking system and access special bonuses. These unique features are sure to be a smash hit with puzzle fans everywhere. Rerations
