(Sims 2 apartment pets)
(geared for young gamers)
(too similar too Sims 2 pets)
(Not so great, actually.) i haven't played this yet my daughter took it and has it in her case so i would say it is a good game I love all the sim's game that I've played on my computer and even on my Ipod. So I thought why not try out Sims 2 Apartments pets. But I was disapponited. Maybe it's me, but I've followed the instructions on how to treat the pet's but they never seem to work and it fail's. I've tried over and over again, even had other people try and they as well can't get it to work. This is an adult's review.
I've never played a Sims Pets game (aside from the PC expansion pack which is nowhere near the same). So it's my own fault for shelling out the [..] for this one by just assuming it would be based on the same concept as past Sims console games (The Urbz, Bustin' Out, The Sims 2, etc...).
I can see how The Sims 2 Apartment Pets would be appealing to young gamers--you take care of your uncle's apartment, several random pets around the place, and the pet day spa downstairs. In the day spa you work everyday until all customers have been served. You take the time to diagnose their pet's problems, then care for them based on that. There are different controls and methods you use for each different problem. The overall concept was appealing, but for me it was just way too repetitive. After awhile I found myself rushing through it hoping that something new would arise--however, except for a few minor additions of spa tools over several days of work there really wasn't much of a direction change in the game at all.
As far as caring for the apartment you can change the type of furniture and decor (wallpaper, carpet) of the apartment, but you can't add or move items. I had a hard time figuring out what I needed to do to increase my game completion, since I hoped that would make the game more challenging. And in memory of traditional Sims games they make you care for your Sims needs and give you the option to interact with other Sims, but it seemed pretty pointless because the needs rarely run low anyway.
Honestly--after playing the game off and on for awhile I just really think it's geared for a much younger crowd. If I were 12 I think I would love this game, but at least I know now to stay away from this genre.
[...] This in my opinion is too closely related to Sims2 pets. I do prefer Sims2 pets to this one by far. From PlayingWithMyWeiner.com:
As a gamer who can vacillate between WoW PvP ganking and scritching a Nintendog between the ears in mere seconds, I thought that giving a "fair and balanced" review of a Sims Pets game was going to be tough. Not so much. I guess I require my pixellated pooches to actually be more than blurry pixels with mediocre control schemes.
I'm getting ahead of myself. First, the "plot". After the ever-so-detailed character creation experience (featuring both genders and no less than five top and bottom clothing options), you are plopped down in a teeny tiny Sim apartment with an nearly invisible Sim parrot. If you can get your stylus to touch the parrot just right, it will give you a Sims-type pop up window which will allow you to play a DDR-style minigame with the bird. Not a bad minigame, moves a bit fast, but it's a rhythm game, and who doesn't love those?
Wander around your new space for a bit and you'll get an e-mail on your PDA (*cough iPhone*) from your Uncle Bill, who owns the apartment and the pet spa below it. He says he's off doing research somewhere and thanks you for looking after the place. In case you have an itch for interior design, Uncle Bill has an "arrangement" with the landlord that gives you carte blanche to paint, paper, and generally tear the place up as you see fit.
This isn't your mother's Sims game, though. No sooner do you begin looking at swatches then the doorbell rings, and your friendly building maintenance guy hands you a puppy. Why? Because he found it, of course. Now you have to care for it.
Unfortunately, it is the pet care phase that makes this game less a member of the Sims family and more a subpar Nintendogs clone or wannabe Imagine: Veterinarian. Pets can have a number of negative states, including such technical states as "stinky" or "dirty". Your job is to "diagnose" and "treat" these states through washing, perfuming, etc.
The big problem here is the controls. For example. it is very difficult to "treat" Stinky when you have to both target his hotspots using the stylus and "spray" him with the same hand (using the right shoulder button). In addition, there are not one, but two timing mechanisms in play during your task: a standard clock timer and the pet's "annoyance meter", which will invariably cause Stinky to run away for a few seconds during the middle of any treatment. Good luck getting the percentage of treatment needed to "cure" Stinky when you can't even make him sit still.
And that's just the pets that are dumped on your doorstep. You also run a Pet Spa downstairs, which is how you earn money to pamper your pooches and make Uncle Bill's pad plush. You get an e-mail when a customer arrives and, if you can force the impossible pathfinding to allow you to take the elevator down, you may even get to diagnose and treat these customers' pets! Joy! Meanwhile, your own motive scores (fatigue, hygiene, etc.) continue to erode over time, as do the scores of each and every pet in your personal menagerie.
Finally, the game doesn't look great, even for a DS title. Nintendogs, which was a DS Lite launch title, presents cuter pooches, and Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise shows what the littlest console can do with textures in a sim game. Next to those guys, The Sims 2: Apartment Pets looks like a GBA title at best, or at least the parts you can see - the camera only moves up, down, left and right - no swiveling whatsoever.
Looks like I'll have to go back to having my gnome rogue farm up pets in Azeroth and Outland. I'm giving The Sims 2: Apartment Pets - 2 Weiners out of 5. Live in the most pet-friendly apartment around! Your Sim is moving into an apartment building full of interesting neighbors and a wide variety of pets. From loveable cats and dogs to all-new exotic animals including slithery snakes, colorful birds, and cuddly rabbits, your Sim will experience all the fun of playing with pets while enjoying their new apartment lifestyle! (Imagine Family Doctor)
(Imagine family doctor Best purchasing decision) I am very disappointed in this game. You are a doctor and you have to treat people but all the symptoms they come in with seems to be the same. My biggest problem with this game is that they say you can play the game with just the stylus but that is not true. Most of the time you have to check people's throats and breathing which you have to say "AHHHHH" or deep breathe, but there is no way to do those things with just the stylus. You have to get a microphone and most of the time that does not even work. Skip this game and buy more fun games by Imagine like Figure Skater or Ice Champions. I bought this game knowing that it was probably geared towards kids but it is incredibly boring! I am a doctor and am disappointed in how inaccurate this game is. The doctor tells his patient with a blood pressure of 140/104 that his pressure is fine! She also can diagnose strep throat just by looking at the throat but then only treats it with something for the fever. She sees 4 or 5 patients in a day and the scenarios are the same. I bought this game last week and am going to trade it in immediately. I don't even think my 11-year old will think it's fun! In this game you can imagine being a doctor. You play as the role of a new doctor in town named Abby.
In the game you get to do things that real doctors do such as: giving checkups, getting the height and weight of patients, taking temperatures, taking blood pressure and pulse, doing eye exams, analyzing coughs, doing x-rays, removing splinters, comparing different marks such as (bruises, scratches, spots, etc), and doing allegry tests.
I think this game is fun and interesting.
I would recommend it to people who are doctors, want to become doctors, or if they like the imagine game series(like I do. I just got this game and I love it. It's exciting to me to feel like a real doctor with patients in my own practice. I give it two thumbs up. Become the new beloved doctor in town! (SO Fun! AND SO ADDICTING!)
(Fun but unpolished)
(Addictive Game play)
(Rylayn) N+ puts you in a ninja's shoes, running and jumping your way through level after level full of small explosives, electrified floating orbs, lasers, and homing missiles. The game presents itself in a very simplistic fashion from every approach, and in the end it doesn't really keep your attention for long. N+ throws some unique challenges at you, though, which makes it a decent game for what it is.
Your objective in every level is to hit the green switch and get out the door. Easy enough, right? But what happens when there are other switches that open other doors blocking the level exit, or there are tons of dangers and obstacles in your way? That, in a nutshell, is N+. You play as a ninja who can jump long, high, and off walls, and your goal is to open the door and then go through it. Your quest to the door isn't as easy as it sounds, though, because even though none of the game's levels take more than about 45 seconds, there are plenty of challenges presented to you. You will have to do some precise jumping and many carefully timed wall jumps to get to your goal.
N+ is very often challenging, but rarely frustrating. The levels are designed in such a way that you can figure out what you need to do quickly, but actually doing it is where the challenge lies. All those precise jumps mentioned earlier come into play to make the game very challenging on the later levels, especially when there is so much danger within the level.
N+ does pretty well in its gameplay, but it does little to keep itself fresh throughout the 39 episodes. You see the same obstacles all the time, they're just presented a little differently each time. The graphical design also does not differ one bit from level to level, and everything looks ultra simplistic, with no changes through the whole game. It doesn't look bad, necessarily, but there was obviously an extraordinary effort to make the game as simplistic as possible, and they succeeded. The result is a game whose visuals will never catch your interest, except when you die, when the ninja is sometimes cut into pieces that keep getting thrashed and thrown around. That's where a lot of the game's entertainment comes into play, actually, it is quite funny to watch.
A great feature of N+ is its level editor. Since the game is so simplistic, you can make levels exactly like those in the game, so for those who want to take the time, this probably the game's best feature. Unfortunately, the community appeared to be down when I tried to connect a few times, which kills a little of the level editor's appeal because I think you can share your levels online (that is, if the community is up and running...). But even though the level editor is so great, I doubt the game will hold your interest long enough for you to want to take time to make some quality levels.
N+ has a soundtrack filled with the same short tunes repeated over and over, which gets a little repetitious within each level. The default setting for music, though, is strangely 'Off.' Could they have guessed how annoyed people might get with the music tracks? You never know. The rest of the sound design is, like the rest of the game, ultra simplistic. There's a sound for every type of death, and that's about it. The sound effects themselves are average, not too annoying but not great either.
N+ offers little to talk about because it's just so simplistic. There is barely anything to the game with ultra simplistic presentation and somewhat repetitious gameplay. The gameplay, though, is where the game works well, because it offers some good, enjoyable challenges in short spurts. The game is over pretty quickly, even with 39 episodes of 5 or so levels each, and even then you will probably lose interest before you're done. The level editor is good for anyone looking to keep going with the game, though. Overall N+ is a hard game to recommend, but a hard game to hate. If you can find it for about $10 you might want to give it a try, but otherwise just leave this one on the shelf and pick up something else.
Positive: + lots of levels + challenging, but rarely frustrating + level editor allows you to make levels exactly like those in the game +watching the ninja get thrashed is strangely entertaining
Negative: - ultra simplistic in every perspective - doesn't keep your attention for long - single player is pretty short Seriously Buy this game now. Look how Cheap it is. Don't waist time reading this review. I Guarantee it will be poorly written and not even thought out.
O.k. I Bet you noticed that this game is made by Atari. Maybe thats not a selling point. I Also Bet you noticed that you will be controlling a stick figure running around and blowing up in Various ways. That was my selling point but I understand why it may not be yours. I'm Going to try to keep it short. Once you grasp all the moves(Pretty simple) You won't want to put this game down. Simply addicting and worth the price. Unless you are reading this 7 years from now when the DS is Defunct. But Hey I don't expect the value to go up after production stops on this game. If it does then you can give me a Non-Helpful. You can also give me a non-helpful because I said I'd keep this review short and failed to do so. Also if you are a Meanie. Thanks! :)
P.S. Buy this Game
P.S. I told you it wouldn't be well thought out.
P.s. Please give me a Helpful.
N+ for the DS is a rare breed of a game. It merges platforming and puzzle elements seamlessly to create a difficult but fun (and fair) environment where your ninja's survival relies solely on your skill.
If you enjoy platforming and/or puzzle games, N+ is definitely worth a buy. It has a massive number of levels, and the DS version is quite feature-rich. Along with multiplayer, and the ability to create and share your own levels, you'll get quite a bit of mileage out of N+ despite its seemingly small package. (As a side note, this version is more feature-rich than the Xbox Live Arcade version of N+.)
However, the game is slightly unpolished compared to some major releases. The sound effects are slightly disappointing, especially for someone whose first experience with N+ was the XBLA version. They simply lack character. Similarly, the music can get annoying at times. There aren't too many tracks, and for some reason they're ridiculously short, making them sadly repetitive.
The gameplay, though, is where it matters, and that's where N+ truly shines. N+ is, in the shortest description possible: addictive. It is proof that great game play does not need great graphics. N+ has a very simple visual style yet it suffices for what the game is. Fast, challenging, and plenty of replay value, N+ will keep you occupied for hours. The level editor is genius and you can swap maps with other DS players. Simply put: Fun. I bought this game for my grandsons(ages 11&12). They really love it. They say it is really fun to play. I would recommend it to anyone who has a DS. You are a Ninja! Based on the cult phenomenon“N,” enter the challenging world of “N+” where your speed and reflexes will be put to the ultimate test. Build your ninja skills by taking old-school platforming action to the next level. Run, jump, and wall-slide through hundreds of levels in pursuit of the ninja’s ultimate goal; GOLD. Avoid deadly ninja-killing enemies as you make your way through each level. One moment of hesitation and you’re history!
The Way of the Ninja You are a ninja in N+. Your god-like speed, dexterity, jumping power, and reflexes are all the result of an amazingly fast metabolism; sadly, so is your natural lifespan of 1.5 minutes. Like all Ninjas, you have an unquenchable thirst for gold and a natural propensity for exploring rooms infested by increasingly lethal Ninja-killing robots. N emphasizes pacifism, humility, and the need to traverse 5 rooms before the end of your lifetime; a feat known only as 'beating an episode'. In accordance with the teachings of N, it is your profound hope that one day you will develop your platforming skills, intelligence, and inexplicable ability to reincarnate to achieve total mastery of all 300 levels. (Opinions from an almost-nine-year-old named PJ)
(Very Fun Game)
(Lot's of Fun)
(Awesome Sequel) Where to start? First off, let me just say that I enjoyed the original spectrobes game. It had a fun hook and the controls worked well. The sequel, however, fails to deliver the spark that made the original good. I found the fossil hunting with the new elements tedious and the story mode slightly confusing, especially if you take a break from the game for a few days. The objective menu is there, but it is not very specific. Now for the gameplay. The spectrobes battle system from the last game has been changed, and not for the better. Instead of the super powered attacks from the first title, you now use "double attacks" that are cool, but don't seem to aid you in battle as much, as you have limited control over them. One thing that changed about the battle system that I did like however, is the addition of battles outside of the vortexes where rallin actually can fight. Gone are the days where Rallin's highest strength attacks only cause minimal damage. He no longer fights the Krawl first hand. Instead, as I mentioned, krawl spheres appear outside of the vortexes that Rallin is responsible for killing. Now, with all that criticism, you may be wondering why I gave it 4 stars. i gave it 4 stars because it makes good use of the touch screen, has many extras to collect and unlock, and delivers a decent second helping of the original spectrobes game that I so enjoyed. It may not be perfect, but it's original, and that counts in my book. My opinion: If you played the original spectrobes, you should give this a try. If not, you should try the better original game to see if this game is your cup of tea. My son purchased this game today and has been playing it for a couple of hours. He really likes it. He also likes Super Mario Bros. and Lego Star Wars, but found Ben 10 Protector of the Earth boring after awhile. He still ranks Lego Star Wars as his favorite Nintendo DS game.
Here are some words from PJ, who is almost nine years old: "Spectrobes is a very fun game. It's really cool looking for fossils, minerals and more. I like when the spectrobes fight and evolve. Going on missions and defeating evil is very fun. Staying at HQ, walking around and talking is kind of boring. But other than all of that, this is a very nice game. If you like action, swords, fighting, and training, this is the game for you. Plus it was $20, almost half the price of Lego Star Wars."
I like this game except for the fact that sometimes your Spectrobes get caught and sometimes they are hard to evolve. If you are looking for a challenge, buy this game. If you are looking for technique, then you should buy Spore Creatures. (10 year old reviewer) My 8-year-old son received Spectrobes for Christmas and he loves it! He has a lot of video games and this one is by far his favorite. The first Spectobes game was a fun concept, and I was surprised when a second one was coming out. I automatically pre ordered it. The game has a very neat concept, where you dig up fossils on different planets, then bring them back to life to battle the oncoming threat of the Krawl, who want to devour the Nanairo planetary system. I find the digging of fossils and the minerals that are feed to the Spectrobes to be very addictive, but at the same time, very time consuming on some planets where you have to first get rid off mud, lava, etc. It can be frusterating to people wanting to quickly level up their Spectrobes from the time needed to get certain minerals. The Spectrobes come in 3 forms. Child, who accompany you to find more minerals and fossils. Adult form, which you feed in the incubator to get stronger. Adults fight the Krawl that you encounter in vortex's around different planets. The ones after adults are Evolved who are superior in fighting skills and stats. The cinematics and camera angling has vastly improved since the last game which I am very impressed with. The game has a nice selection of different Spectrobes to train and battle. I recommend it to anyone who like games that have real time battles, with some RPG effects in leveling up. If you like Pokemon you will most definatly like the some what odd creations of the game Spectrobes. It is truely a game worthy of appreciation and respect. (Very Cute, but Has Some Fundamental Design Flaws)
(Not worth it.)
(Cute&Sweet)
(Included stylus cracked my case) In my opinion this product isn't worth $20 or even $5. This is nothing more than a clear case with a handful of cardboard (YES! cardboard) inserts to change the design that shows through the case. The trinket on the end of the strap is made of cheap plastic and foam (like those plastic puffy stickers from the 80s). The best item in the kit is the stylus, but I wouldn't pay $5 for it either. It is too large to store in the DS or the case and it simply wouldn't be worth the hassle of having to keep up with it. Had the inserts been interchangeable DS skins instead of cardboard then it may have been worth it. Please don't be fooled! This is an extremely cheaply made product. The case is both well-designed form-wise and very customizable, but there is one big problem with the design. The stylus fits too tightly when you have the cow case on the DS for it to be practical. It almost got stuck when I used them both! It also increases the weight of the DS enough that it seems like it could be very uncomfortable to use for an extended period of time.
There are several images that you can interchange for display on the front of the case, you could even use them as a template and design your own.
The game cases are cute, but they have one problem: they're very small. One of the advantages of using the usual sized DS game cases (the kind that can hold three game cartridges at a time) is that they are larger than the standard cartridge size, thus making them easier to keep track of. As you know, DS games are tiny, and thus easy to lose or misplace. These work fine, but they defeat one of the main reasons people use cases in the first place: combing portability with practicality. They are portable, but their size (or rather, the lack thereof) makes them rather impractical.
Overall, it's a very, very cute accessory set, and far more worth the high price than I expected it to be when I ordered it, but due to the numerous oversights in its design I'd only recommend it for the really die-hard Harvest Moon fan. It is really cute, I must admit, but it is certainly not worth anything over 10-12 dollars. I bought my set, and I was really excited because of how cute it is, but then once I opened it, I was very disappointing. The stylus was okay, but not the same as the illustration on the box. The case is okay. They make it sound like there are 7 different cases or something in the description, but it's only a plastic case where you can put in little pieces of cardboard in. I wasn't very impressed. The cases are normal, they're alright. But the bracelet was very very disappointing. It's black and has no writing on it. The bracelet is really cheap and worth about 25-50 cents. Don't waste your money on this unless you have some special reason for it. If you are a harvest moon fan, then this is a great item to have for your DS system. It has different covers to change to, and protects the DS, just as it should. I haven't had any problems with the item, other than the stylus is alittle bigger and is alittle hard to remove from the DS. Other than that its a great product. (On the Amazon page in the description it states it has 12 interchangeable and customizable graphics. However, it does not, it actually only has 7) I'm quite disappointed in this case, I bought it for it's 'cute' value but after putting the case on and inserting the included stylus I heard a cracking sound, pulled the stylus out and found a fresh new crack in my DS. The case was properly "installed" so I don't believe it was user error that caused it, it was the case and the design of the stylus.
I would avoid using the included stylus if you choose to buy this product.

(Dissapointed customer)
(Great game for some.....)
(Starfox command review)
(A Great Game for a 9 Year Old) This game is not very good. First the controls r very hard to use and the flip and turn around buttons on the touch pad r hard to find when ur looking at the top screen. The graphics r pretty good for the ds but not the best. It is very hard to hold the ds because u r constantly using the touch pad then if u hit it to hard u lose grip of the ds and it falls. Now for multiplayer it is sort of fun but u do not unlock anything. The gameplay is also very hard i only made it to the fourth level. Not much replay value either. Other than multiplayer this game is not worth getting. This is probably the worst installment, even before the first one. Command has the worst controls ever in my play history, and has the worst voice acting of the whole series. Starfox has really dissapointed me. There is no on foot, landmaster, or in the water tank thing from n64. Compared to adventures, 64, and assaault this is junk.
Graphics:5/5 Story:2/5 Gameplay:0/5 Wifi play:2/5 Controls:1/5
The games graphics are really good for ds, but fails in every other aspect. whatever you do try the game before you buy it. when my friends tried it they could barely stand doing wireless play with me nor watch me play. This game is only for hard-core star fox gamers or for star fox junkies. This is a very great game. There's lots of characters, cool ships and a great storyline. Although, this game is very hard and cheap. Some users may stop playing on some levels due to difficulty. If you don't stop playing, however, it pays off. This game is the sequel to Starfox Assault, and is set one year after the events that occured in Starfox Assault. the game is pretty short, and it has nine endings, so if you are a starfox fan you might be dissapointed, but if you just need a game to pass the time, this one is pretty good. the controls are a little difficult at first, but with a little practice it becomes a breeze. overall the game is pretty easy and gets boring fast, but, as i said, it is something to pass the time. I purchased this game for my [...] son for our China trip. He started to play the game as soon as it arrived - 2 days before our trip. I was worried about him getting bored of the game during the trip. To my surprise, he had been playing the game during the entire 3 weeks. He was fascinated by it and told me that this was the best game I've ever bought for him! Star Fox Command lets you hop into your fight through a unique branching storyline of missions, all rendered in gorgeous 3-D. This game brings a whole new strategic element to the series, with a commander's view of the mission. Using the touch screen, players can draw the routes they and their teammates will take. Battle the enemies they encounter as they take over bases and strategically advance across the map. Players can also blow their friends out of the sky, as they dogfight 8 players over a local wireless connection -- or take on 4 players from around the world on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. customer 's review (BAD GAME!)
(A quality game that has a little pizzaz)
(I Love it)
(Age of Empires Review)
(Addicting by glitches are frustrating) The cover of this game looked good, but it is really bad. It won't let you go where you want it to go. Also, I don't know what to do. Finally, it doesn't have anything for you to do. Advance Wars has always dominated in turn based strategy and in my opinion still does and then there was fire emblem which advanced intelligent systems turn based empire even bigger but then came age of empires. Age of empires is not too far away from advance wars but it gives a average presentation. The first level has you wanting more but then again you get to pick which level to go on.
You see there are five heroes to choose from and you can take any road you want from Joan of Arc to Saladin, they all are interesting in fact they feel amazing and oddly enough they don't get repetitive seeing as to how you play with them through five missions each. Although you can go back to the levels after you've finished them.
The landscapes are pretty with pretty high quality when you fight on them in the actual battles yet its not the lands they mess up on but the lack of weather. Rain nor Snow is in the game which makesthe landscape put down to a bare minimum but it isn't all too thin.
The fighting is above average with clanking of the swords and other attacks that have there own sounds to them. Though the biggest problem in the game can be with there sound, no not the sword fights but the music. After fighting a battle you can hear one of two sounds. If you win a fight you hear a type of victory sound but if you lf you lose one you hear a type of defeat sound. Yet there is no draw sound when you have two samurai's clahing with 5 health left each. Even though that almost is never the case the sounds get repetitive after fishing about one hero's campaign. What's even more troubling is that the hero's never say anything which is the only downside to them.
The fighting is one thing that never wears down. You have a vast array of units and unlike advance wars you buy even more units. There is a rock paper scissors kind of feel like fire emblem. A few times if your opponent is weak enough you may be able to defeat a strong type of unit with a weak one but that usually is not the case. The thing about the game that made it most interesting is that you start at one age and can end up on another one. Your men also advance themselves you can start with militia all the way to two handed swordsman this can be fun to watch.
The multiplayer is ok but it feels tired as the you've all done it before in campaign. The only difference is you can fight heroes against heroes but even then it doesn't feel epic seeing as to certain heroes have advatages against one another. For instance when using saladin against Richard the lionhearted you can easily defeat him as your men by your side posses pike which take down horses well so it is best to fight with people who don't have an advantage over one another but when with 4 people someone will have the advantage.
Replay value is pretty bare seeing as to how after you've finshed the campaigns you will have most of the stuff and while plenty of unlockables you really feel for more heroes. The game is ambitious but no matter how hard it tries it doesn't out do advance wars but mark it that it is way deeper and it makes the game fun by adding a little history lesson in. The game even with it's flaws deos not get old quickly in fact I'm not even a fan of turn based yet I'm not bored with it. A beautiful game that has flaws but really shines.
Its the game for the stratergy game lovers. I do my gym workout (cardio activities) while playing this game. I get distracted by this game and this help me to do 2 hours of workout with out any mental stain I cant even begin to tell how bad this game was. This game was not self explanatory and is nothing like the computer game. Nintendo totally ruined it! I've played the game a lot and hit several places where the system just froze up. I finally hit the black screen and cannot start the game any more. I just get a blank screen. This happens every time on both of the Nintendo DS's I have. After reading other reviews I realize I have a three character name and use "save and quit" a lot. Age Of Empires: The Age Of Kings is a portable version of one of the best-selling RTS games ever! (Substitution for those not used to the DS styluses)
(not good)
(be careful!)
(Great Product!!!! BAAD Design) First of all note that the package includes 2 stylus, both are adjustable and are black with a transparent part which holds the part that extends. They are made from a rather "soft" plastic which is gentle with the ds screen and has a great touch on your hand. I really recommend it When I was in high school, the new technology was introduced- The Nintendo DS (Now called Classic- I feel old). At first I hated the tiny stylus that came with the console- but I grew to use it like an appendage of my own.
Of course, I lost my only stylus for the DS Lite- I just wanted another "normal" one. It was tough to find, so I settled for this. I honestly keep the stylus non extended for the majority of my use- Because this is what I'm used to.
I also keep it shortened because it gets awfully wobbly in the fully extended position- But it hasn't failed me yet, and is just as good as the stock DS styluses. 4 stars only because I really don't need extenso-matic styluses. these stylus' kept sliding out of the slot on my DS lite. i lost one the first day i had them, because of this problem. i wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. the idea of it being retractable is cool, but i'd recommend just spending the extra dollar or 2 and buying replacement stylus' directly from nintendo. I really liked this stylus. Unfortunately, they both cracked within a month. And as someone else mentioned, they are a little wobbly if fully extended. If you are careful they'll be great. I still gave it 3 stars because it is a great idea, just too fragile. Great Product....but i prefer the solid plastic ones...the extendable mumbo-jumbo tends to break easily...Basically i wounld recommend this to someone who would lend their stuff to kids ^_^ Officially licensed by Nintendo.
