Explore a vast world with From the Abyss. Rubenhaut is a small country surrounded by nature. Peace-loving queens have always ruled this country. Its towns and villages overflow with energy and prosper like none before them. Some attribute this to the queens, while others point to the serenity of the region as the cause. However, Rubenhaut has a dark secret. Long ago, the Dimensional Abyss was created, to seal away all the evil in the world. In order to manage that parallel dimension, the Saint of Light created a Magic Crystal. This crystal was called the Abyss Gate. The country of Rubenhaut was founded in order to monitor the Abyss Gate. But as time passed, the seal weakened, and monsters began to pour through the Gate to attack Rubenhaut. The army, accustomed to peace, didn't know how to retaliate. Facing a grim fate, the queen made a decision. To stand up against the great forces of evil. It is said that he who defeats the forces of evil shall have bestowed on him a priceless treasure. As the forces of evil grow in power, another adventurer arrives in Rubenhaut.

customer 's review
(Decent so far, but hoping it will get better)

(Save your money)

(Don't Overlook This Gem)

(Meh, mediocre)

(Great Ideas - Poor Implementation)
So I got this game about 4 days ago. I am on episode to now for an hour. Not sure how to end this level? But the game overall is okay. I like changing the disguises to various things. The biggest thing I don't like is not knowing where I am going or what I am suppose to do. I bought it here almost new for $[...] so I figure once I get the hang of it that it's worth about that.
If you play video games to relax don't buy this game. The opening story takes a good 15 minutes to get through, if I wanted to read I'd have picked up a book. It uses the stylus a LOT and half the time it doesn't read what you're trying to input. I was looking for an adventure game to relax on a rare day off and I just finished Mario v DK March of the Minis. After a half hour of messing with these rotten controls and the endless tutorial text I tossed the game and gave up. Total waste of 30 bucks and 30 minutes.
Wario: Master of Disguise has been getting a lot of bad press and reviews, and though they are mostly justified I believe this game is still worth a look.

The main complaint, that you have to draw these silly little symbols on Wario, is valid. Sometimes it doesn't work. Personally, I would have prefered the action be on the top screen, like New Super Mario, and have the map and large "buttons" on the bottom screen to tap and change easily, like Super Princess Peach.

But this is not reason enough to completly write this game off. It's level designs are very clever, and the sense of aqcomplishment upon reaching a new, out-of-the-way treasure chest is great.

The humor, while no-where near as good as any Inteligent Systems release, is still great and ads a lot to the game. I mean, who doesn't love seeing poo run across the screen. Seriously.

Anyway, give it a shot. It's a nice little game.

This game was fun... for a while... I began to grow bored and just gave up towards the end...

Still haven't beaten it... I don't reccomend

I have really loved some Wario games in the past. I thought Twisted and Smooth Moves were simply brilliant. I have to say I felt a bit let down by Master of Disguise for several reasons.

First, the basic concept. You are Wario, a bored couch potato. Suddenly you learn about a super-thief and want to be like him. In no time at all you've stolen the thief's secret wand and have begun thieving. The wand lets you instantly don any disguise, as long as you draw the correct symbol with your stylus. Each disguise gives you different abilities - firing a laser, leaping high, etc.

This is problem number one. For some reason, the game just doesn't understand what you're drawing half the time. So you're in the middle of an intricate sequence of movements, and need to switch disguises, and the game simply refuses to understand what you're asking for. If you know what the disguise sequence is to solve the puzzle, the challenge shouldn't be making that circle or check or whatever exactly right so the wand does what you want it to do.

Next, as you go left and right on your little side scrolling screen, sometimes there are places that it seems you should be able to go to - but the game won't let you. Then there are other places that look impossible to get to - but you're allowed to go there. It adds a bit of frustration as you randomly try directions until you find one that works.

I do really like the mini-games in the chest, and how they can challenge you. Some of them are a bit on the gross side - guide the poop pile so it lands in the toilet? I mean, Wario games in the past had a "stick the finger in the nose" puzzle - but handling poop is a whole 'nother level of disgusting.

To go with this, I found some of Wario's incessant (and unskippable) dialogue to be over the line obnoxious. I know Wario is a bad guy and I don't mind at all "playing as him" in some of the other games. But in this one, I really just didn't like being him. I didn't like having to sit through the long cut scenes. I play games to relax and have fun - and the cut scenes were the opposite of fun.

I really appreciate the idea behind this game, and think it's a great setup in general. If a new version came out with the same basic idea but with many tweaks in the stylus recognition and the cut-scene area, I would really love it. This release just doesn't quite make it.

Wario: Master of Disguise sends the greedy Wario back into a new 2-D platformer - one with a unique touchscreen control system. When Wario sees a television series about a thieving master of disguises, he dives through the TV screen, steals the thief's quick-change wand and takes over the show. Break into exotic locations, from a luxury liner&watery ruins to an Egyptian pyramid, all in the hopes of grabbing as much treasure and loot as Wario can carry.

(Great Game!)

(Good game but not for 2 players)

(Enjoy football again)

(My son loves it!)
This game is great -and was hard to find in stores before the holidays- I recieved it from Amazon in 2 or 3 days. My 8&10 year old boys both like it.
I bought this for my 10 year old nephew. He loved it but I was disappointed to find out only one player at a time could play. I was hoping he and I could compete head to head.
This is a fun game for the football lover in your family. My 13 year old son really enjoys playing it because he gets to be his favorite NFL stars when they were kids.
I bought this game for my 7 year old son for Christmas and he has not stopped playing it. He loves that he recognizes the players in the game- but as children. Its a fun twist to a football video game. There are 3 levels of difficulty so I don't see him growing out of it any time soon.
Backyard Football '08 is the sixth iteration of the best selling children's football video game of all time. The only kids' game to hold the NFL and NFL Player's Inc. licenses, Backyard Football '08 features a roster full of current NFL Superstars as kids including two-time SuperBowl MVP Tom Brady as the cover/highlight athlete. Now on the Nintendo DS, Backyard Football '08 combines authentic NFL plays and strategies with the wild and wacky antics of the Backyard gang to give young football fans a realistic, fun sports experience. The game gives kids total control of the style, location, pace, and strategy. And, with multiple levels, is easy enough for rookie players yet mega challenging for more seasoned veterans. New unlockables, power-ups and mini-games Multiple levels of difficulty with handicapping options Multi-player capabilities ESRB Rated E for Everyone

(Real good game, but short!)

(Quick Spyro Review)

(Great game!)
Recomendation: Buy it if you like the Spyro series. Take in consideration that this game was meant to be played by children, so the game is not so hard to play.

The good part of the game:

I enjoy every minute with it. It was very good. I recommend it if you like the PlayStation version. This game is very similar to that version of Spyro.
I found the puzzle games very interesting and I use to spend a lot of time playing them. The use of the stylus was good and the puzzles with beams of light were really good, very addictive!
The voice of the actors and the story line is facinating. I can not wait for the third part of the serie!

The cons of the game:

I played this game for 2 days and was really easy to finished.
After you finish the game there is nothing new to do. You may play as God Mode or Fury Frenzy Mode or even play in the arena Brawl and kick some apes and other enemies for fun. You can replay the whole game with the benefit of being immortal or use the Fury attack whenever you want.

Once the enemies disappeared, they were there kicking me but I could not see them. And, the angle of the camera can be annoying. If something is far away in the setting, it can not be seen unless you come closer.

You can not save whenever you want. Your games are automatically save everytime you pass an area. Remember that when you play it.

This is not the the best DS game I've played. I love Spryo, however I do not feel like enough time or effort was put in the DS version of this game. The story line is good, however there are some technical issues that can get a little annoying at times. The game can be a little glitchy in places. Spryo sometimes walks through walls, or get stuck and either dies or I must restart the game. Also, the camera angels are annoying. I feel like I was constantly adjusting my view every few seconds just to get through one level. If there is an option to have the camera automatically move as you are, I could not locate. Overally, this game was not terrible, but I have played better.
If you are a Spyro fan you will want to buy this game! Great graphics and voice-overs, good story.
I love it!

The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night continues the strong action-infused gameplay focus established in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning and takes it even further with exciting new powers. Take on the role of Spyro the dragon in his quest to stop the Dark Master, and leap, fly, slide, and bash or burn through anything in your way! Featuing vicious new enemies and challenging new puzzles. ESRB Rated E10 for gamers aged 10 and up

(My daughter's favorite game)

(thank you)

(OK, but a little difficult for young kids)

(Strawberry Shortcake Strawberryland Games)

(LANO's Mom)
My 7 year old received a ds lite for christmas along with some games. This by far is her favorite. It's challanging but not too hard for her to play.
very fun and entertaining. reminds me of my childhood and the box even smells like strawberries
We bought this for our 5 year old daughter. She likes it OK, but there is a lot of dialogue to read through before any games can be played. We did have to sit with her the first several times to help her, but she has gotten the hang of it and can play most of the games by herself. That being said, she much prefers the New Super Mario Bros, and another Mario game, Princess Peach. These are much easier to play, and she just likes them better!
DO NOT buy this product!!!!!!!!!It is no fun and I wish I would have never bought it. Can we get our money back???
This game is really fun and I enjoy it as an adult. (Played to learn and help my daughter who is 6.) I think that the game is fine for a 6 year old once they get the hang of it. I am not sure that many 6 year olds could just sit down and play it, but it is fairly easy to catch on to. It is cute as Strawberry shortcake goes on races, visits a desert booth, and has fun at each station during the strawberry games. Overall, I would recommend this game as long as mom or dad can give a little help at the outset.
Strawberry Shortcake: Strawberryland Games take Strawberry and her friends into Dreamland, for fun interactive games. Help Strawberry by guiding her on the way to Dreamland and in the Dream Factory, as she is faced with different challenges. Take full advantage of the special Nintendo DS features such as the DS Stylus and the touch screen You can even play a 2 player wireless version of Berry Boarding using the WIFI multiplayer

(Classic Atlus)

(Loads of Fun)

(More of the same)

(An ok game)

(Touch Detective 2 1/2)
I love this game! I haven't completed it at the time of this review, but I am on case 4. Atlus is known for making great games and this is another one that has the humor, cute animation, and interesting storyline.
The story revolves around a cute little super-def. girl named Mackenzie. She is a detective and has a little mushroom(?) sidekick that can't talk, but helps along the way. There is a great cast of characters ranging from cute to peculiar. The point of the game is to touch things to find out information about them, as well as add them to your list as an extra. Question everyone, find items and use them in the right places to figure out the puzzles, and replay to find things you may have missed. Another great thing about this is the replay value of collecting things and the extras menu that has screen-shots, music, and profiles from the game. If you like the mystery games, Japanese games, you will like this. Not recommended for little kids because you have to figure things out and it's alot of text reading.

Despite the fact that it is a kid's game, I loved it! Thoroughly cute, fun characters, and simple stories. Some if the tasks were difficult to figure out, but I liked it so much I'm buying the first one. It's a lot like Myst for the PC or Xbox, but with an adorable, anime feel!
Atlus' first Touch Detective for the DS had an undeniable charm, but alas was too linear and shallow for it's own good. Touch Detective 2 1/2 is no different as it offers more of the same in terms of gameplay and presentation, which makes it basically the same game you've played before. Now, this may not be such a bad thing for those who actually enjoyed the first game, but for the rest of us, there's really nothing to see here. Young and touchy detective Mackenzie returns to solve the five cases that make up Touch Detective 2 1/2, and depending on how much you enjoyed the first game will decide how much you enjoy this outing. Like the previous game, Touch Detective 2 1/2's most entertaining moments come from interrogating various people, thanks to the insanely hilarious dialogue and Mackenzie's own inner thoughts. The art style still offers plenty of charm and personality, even though most of it is used again from the last game. What really kills Touch Detective 2 1/2 are the same things that did in the previous installment: the repetitive and shallow gameplay, and just plain inane puzzle elements. Combine these with the overly linear feel of the game, and you get pretty much what we got the last time around. The first Touch Detective was a surprise hit when released, and for those who enjoyed that game, you'll probably dig this sequel to some extent. For the rest of us though, Touch Detective 2 1/2 is best left on the shelf.
I have had fun with this game, although it is kind of silly and annoying at times. If you dont like games where you have to read alot then you wont like this game. It is just a silly fun game.
I love this little game! TD 2 1/2 is even better than the first TD. The strength of these games is that they don't depend on random minigames to progress the plot like so many other titles. The developers of TD aren't lazy. Everything you do--find, use, and combine objects, search places, question the many quirky inhabitants of this odd little town--makes sense within the context of the game. And the dialogue is quite witty, in the mold of the Phoenix Wright series.

I agree with the previous reviewer that the gameplay is too short--you can't play these games for weeks at a time like you can with the Harvest Moon series. But that's the nature of the whodunit genre. I'm looking forward to more TDs!

Accepted into the Great Detective Society, Mackenzie has become a fully-accredited sleuth! Trouble is, people do not take her seriously. All that changes when a string of strange thefts pulls her into a puzzling plot, and have to use all of her skills and intuition to discover the motive behind the crimes and solve the mystery!

(JUST STICK WITH RE1 ON PS1!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

(Going back to basics is great)

(Resident Evil Deadly Silence)

(Deadly Scilence)

(Resident Evil Deadly Silence)
THIS IS NOT A NEW RE GAME OR A BETTER VERSION OF RE1. THIS IS RE1 BUT IT SUCKS ON THE DS!. THE GRAPHICS ARE HORRIBLE AND THE CONTROLS KINDA UNCOMFORTABLE CAUSE IM USED TO RE1 ON THE PS1. I ONLY PLAYED IT FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES BUT DECIDED TO QUIT CAUSE IT SUCKED! A REALLY DISSAPOINTMENT FOR THE RE SERIES! JUST STICK WITH THE ORIGINAL PS1 VERSION!!!!!!!
so this game for the ds is the origianl resident evil game. with a few new extras. man I forgot how much fun that game was. I know it does not have the graphics of todays new next gen game systems, but it is still a great game. An with the few extras that the ds has has added make the game fun and worth checking out again!
I like the game, and it arrived in very good condition.I love the weopons and the graphics.
I Love this game. It is only a port of the original, but I never had the honor of playing it when it first came out since I was only six or seven and didn't have a Playstation, but an N64.

When I bought this game, I thought it would just be some random story that had nothing to do with anything, but I was pleasently surprised to learn it was Resident Evil 1. I really didn't believe people who said the dialog was lame in the original, but now I do understand that they were right. I also think the controlls are a pain in the A$$, but you get used to it and then, the game is acually very fun.

You can either play as Jill or Chris, both have different stories and diffrent difficulties. You go threw a mansion that is swarming with zombies and other creepy monsters that are trying to eat you. The game isn't too hard once you get the hang of it, but it is still very fun and is one of the best games on the Ds along with Mario 64, New Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, and UMK. I just hope that the port RE 2, 3, and code vencera to the ds.

A perfect port of the original Playstation version of Resident Evil. It's just like having a portable version of the original title.
Resident Evil: Deadly Silence is a DS-exclusive remake of the first Resident Evil game, with the DS's unique features in mind. Work your way through the classic storyline as Jill Valentine&Chris Redfield work their way through that well-known mansion. You'll find that there's no solace in a room that you think you've completely freed from zombie infestation.

(Great game for kids who love the ocean)

(Passable but frustrating.)
My 12-year old daughter loves this game. She likes to swim around and explore different areas within the game. She enjoys collecting fossils to create new monsters. She also enjoys fighting with other sea monsters to retrieve fossils from them. If you have a child that loves underwater games, this is the game for him/her.

The 2-player racing was OK. Instead, my daughter made up her own game with a friend and played hide and seek. They really had a blast trying to find each other.

Sea monsters started with much potential.
Hunt and be hunted, explore vast seas...
Unfortunately, What we ended up with is pretty much a platformer underwater: Unlock new species to use their special moves to get you to the next area, complete mission objectives. The control system is shoddy though I have to say that after an hour I was pretty used to it, though the swimming system requires you to hold down ^ on the D-pad nonstop. Your hand will hurt after a little while. There are also glitches. Nothing like getting all through a mission to get stuck in a wall, or all of a sudden find a spot that swimming through causes instant death. It will frustrate you... a LOT!
The music wears on your nerves after a while and offers no variation. The one good thing I have to say is that it's mildly educational, and lacks real violence or blood. (Eating fish isn't really even cartoon violence, after all, we humans eat fish)
My advice is to avoid this and if you really must have this game, I'd wait for the Wii version in Jan. Hopefully they'll work out the glitches first. Also If ocean exploring is your forte' I'd also look into Everblue 2 PS2, and Endless Ocean Wii, Both are wonderful games.

In the oceans of earth millions of years ago, danger was never far away and monsters lurked in every shadow. Experience this astounding world by playing as six different prehistoric marine reptiles, each with special skills - from extreme speed to thick armor and powerful crunching jaws. Start your adventure in an area of inland sea that will only get more dangerous as time passes. Take on foes, hunt for prey and unlock hidden challenges. Your goal is to find a way to truly escape these waters. How to accomplish your escape is something you'll have to figure out on your journey. Now take control of your first Sea Monster and begin your adventure!
