(Dogs and Cats Paws and Claws)

(Nice game for a young person)

(Great Game)

(Great Game)
This is a great game as I think all the pet games are by nintendo except for Nintendogs and Puppy Luv.Nintendogs is good just not great as it's made out to be.Puppy Luv is the worst
This game gives you a choice of cats or dogs to take care of and it has alot of fun features as you go along.Seeming I have just started it,I can't give it many details.
It is a definate game for people that love pet games. Not too easy like Hamsterz Life 1&2,but not as difficult as Horsez 1&2.

I bought this game for my daughter's 8th birthday. SHe wanted Nintendodog's but we have kitties in our house and she loves them too. THis game is very similar to N-dogs but besides the dogs you can choose, you also have a choice of cats. Big plus for her! It's not lame like the Pet Catz or Dogz. You are responsible to feed your pet, train him or her, clean the house, keep it healthy and take it for walkies. She got it July and is still playing with her pet every day. I would reccommend this game to anyone who wants a dog and a cat in the same game.
I think Paws and Claws Dogs and Cats is so fun. You can play fetch, tug of war and you can feed him or her. You can unlock stuff like the wood walk, lake walk, fram walk nad the maze walk. Your dog or cat can buy merchandise to wear. You can pet him or her. You can get money by sleeping. You get 15 cents to start. You get 5 cents every time you sleep or it is the end of the day. I recommend this game to everyone.

Dogs and cats look to you for care, guidance, and training?raise them from little puppies and kittens and watch as they grow, play, and learn together. Make sure your animal friends get plenty of healthy food, exercise, and playtime?and lots of love from you!

(Too difficult for young children)

(Not bad, but nothing special either)
My kids are too young to watch the movie, so I bought this game thinking that would satisfy their superhero dreams. Check out my Nintendo DS review of "Incredible Hulk."

As it turns out, the voice acting and the music in Iron Man are authentic. However, the game is really difficult for my young gamers and they quickly lost interest and returned to playing "Ben 10 Protector of the Earth" and "Spiderman: Friend or Foe" -- two games that are much easier to master.

I won't sell my copy of Iron Man, though. I have a feeling my kids will pick it up again when they are a little older. I can't give this four stars because it didn't grab my kids' attention like "Incredible Hulk" did, but I wouldn't recommend selling your copy either.

As any video game/movie tie-in would be, Iron Man is available on many platforms, including the DS, of which this version of the game ends up being the best. Sadly, that isn't really saying a whole lot, but for what its worth, Iron Man on the DS is a fun diversion for a while. Playing as 'ol shellhead, Iron Man offers up a pretty good looking 3-D engine for the DS that is nicely detailed for the most part, despite the fact that the game's camera doesn't do you any favors as off-screen enemies will fire at you. Not to mention that the game is kind of short and offers some clunky controls, and for a game screaming for some touch-screen originality, Iron Man doesn't offer any. There are some good points though that save Iron Man from being a total clunker, including the fact that the game does offer a bit of challenge, and film star Robert Downey Jr. provides some good voice work as well. All in all, Iron Man on the DS isn't bad, but it isn't anything special in the least either.

(Poor Instructions - but fun once you figure it out)

(Waste of Money)

(Very Disappointing)

(Total Frustration!)

(NEEDS an instruction manual)
Like many others, my daughter (and I) was more than a little frustrated that we couldn't figure out how to do anything. I e-mailed the developer and had the following reply in less than 24 hours. WOnder why no-one else thought to do that? Anyway, this really helped!

To start "Pet Resort", select a New Game, enter a name, and continue to the house. Enter the office, approach the computer and click on the icon of a girl's head at the bottom of the screen. This will open a Management menu on the right side of the screen. Choose "Expansion", and then locate the "Already Built" column. These are your pens. Click on the word "no" to change it to "yes" for Level 1. Continue doing this for every animal, located on the top of the screen. Once all animals have had Level 1 changed to "yes", click the "buy" icon at the bottom right. You have now built pens for the animals. Now you can select "Online Shop" to begin buying food and other items for first animal you will take care of, which is the rabbit. Once purchased, exit the Management menu and walk to the far left of the house, near the bookcase. This is the food storage area. Click the girl's head icon to access the "Foodbag". Place the purchased food in the available slots. Exit and wait for the clock to show 11:00. After 11, walk to the base of the stairs and click on the girl's head icon. A small menu should appear on the right. Click on "Finish the day" and continue through. A customer will then appear at some point with her pet rabbit. This is your first pet to take care of. You will need to feed, groom, and more, depending on what is required. Look at the top of the screen to see the animal's statistics. One business day at the pet resort on the DS is equal to 20 minutes in real time, and changes made (example: pen expansions) do not appear until the next "business day".

I told them the waiting time should have been outlined someplace.

Purchased this game for my daughters birthday and am very sorry. The instructions for getting the game started are terrible and so far have been unable to find any help. We cannot figure out how to begin the game and start getting clients. You are supposed to "buy" animal pens, but this is where we are stuck. Based upon this game will not be purchasing anymore Paws&Claws games.
I will first say I agree with the other reviewers the instructions are very vague. The graphics are very poor. Same music plays over and over again. From the cover the graphics look great so I thought it might be some what like nintendogs. So overall I would rate this game 1 1/2 stars. I paid to much for something that was such poor quality. Save your money and get nintendogs.
My daughter pick out this game and we can not figure out how to play. The only thing she has figured out is how to ride. She still does not have any animals. I would not buy this game again. I think she will end up giving up on it and not playing it, it was 20 dollars wasted. If it was possible I would not even give it one star.
I am amazed this game was released with SO LITTLE information. My six year old daughter picked this out at the store before I had a chance to do any online research on it. She can usually hit or miss her way through some of the easier Nintendo games, loves Nintendogs, and I thought this looks basic enough. However, there is ABSOLUTELY no help from the game on how to get started. There is NO instruction manual. There is no online manual that I could find. The ONLY information I found was from a previous amazon reviewer, Giardino. If it wasn't for Giardino's helpful review, I probably would have boxed it up and taken it back to the store.
There is plenty of information we're still discovering, like HOW to put food into the bag - go into the house and click the person icon and the food storage comes up and you drag it to the food bag. I must have bought 10 food units and run around looking for it for a whole day before we figured that out.
Also - initially building the pens is really confusing. The only option is to indicate that the free first pen has or hasn't been built. I am not sure if indicating it has is how you build it or not, we haven't gotten there yet.

It doesn't tell you but it's looking like until you've first gone through the required series of rabbits, then birds, then whatever comes next, you can't get multiple kinds of animals. We made it through rabbits, and suddenly the rabbits are gone and we have budgies. I suppose fish are next.
I saw one review that indicates this game is completely boring - well, my daughter is six and enjoys mastering a game, and doesn't mind repetitive tasks of taking care of these electronic animals. She can happily spend time taking care of imaginary or stuffed animals.

But Giardino's review, and the answer to a related wikipedia question I found on the internet, that I can't find again - is all the help I could find on how to play this game.

I would give this game one star except my daughter seems to find it intersting and occupying, once people have started bringing rabbits for her to tend. But that's after suffering through a baffling five or ten minutes of running around, nearly half an hour of her angrily saying she shouldn't have picked this game while I was frantically searching the internet for whatever help I could find for her. Interesting that the most helpful source was not from googling a related "hints," "cheats," or "helps," page, but from an amazon review.

You love animals and they love you! Care for and pamper all of your favorite creatures at your own Paws&Claws Pet Resort. Nurture and love the animals to grow your pet care business and become every animal's best friend!

(Good, not great -- lacks variety...but with plenty of reading)

(The Cheetah Girls Passport To Stardom)
This game offers the "Cheetah" world to young girls on their DS. The game sports graphics typical of the DS, with decent sound-effects, and a high-quality soundtrack. The songs contained within the game are the original recordings, vocals and all.

The game requires a lot of reading, so for younger players, this game might prove challenging, especially since the language is for more advanced readers. Parents should expect to help younger players through the story mode, explaining what they need to do, and sometimes trying to figure out exactly what needs to be done. Unfortunately, it isn't always clear when starting a new challenge exactly what needs to be done. It requires some trial and error. Once you clear that hurdle, however, younger players will know exactly what they need to do and shouldn't require additional assistance. My 7-year old became frustrated during the first several days, so parents of younger girls are warned.

There are several challenges in the game. Play concentrates on using the DS stylus on the touch screen, clicking points and repeating sequences that are demonstrated during dance routines. There are rhythm challenges and memory games. There is also a "fashion" game in which the player is shown a piece of clothing and must duplicate them exactly. Everything is timed, and sometimes making just one or two mistakes can cause a frantic panic to complete the challenge. The player is rated based on performance and accuracy, so perfection isn't required. Rewards allow the player to shop for clothing and accessories. Fortunately, the player must learn to budget the rewards to get certain desired items.

The game is sometimes fast-paced and engages my daughter for about 30 minutes at a time, several times a week. It's not necessarily something that she absolutely must play, but when she does, she seems to enjoy it. It seems short, the challenges are fairly repetitive, and amount of text seems overwhelming, even for me. I'd recommend it for casual gaming, more suited for girls 9 or older.

This is a really great game and there are 3 levels of difficulty,Star,Diva and Superstar(I think).
Anyways after playing the game on all 3 difficultys and finishing it in less then 2 hours I found that for $30 I'd be better off buying the DS game w/ Candyland or Operation.
I know I am a MOM but my 10 year old also finished the game in the same amount of time as I did on all 3 levels of difficulty.I was shocked when the game ended so quickly.
I also finished Cheetah Girls 1 in 3 hours w/ 2 levels of difficulty,I would also like to add that these 2 games are the only 2 out of 200 between GBA and DSgames.
The game is kinda like the first one but less of to do list things and more of dancing singing competitions
Thats why I ordered the game in the 1st place I am into Rythym games and thought seeming they go to a few countries it would be much harder to beat on the hard mode, but way to easy even for a 10 year old,a msmart 10 year old but still price wise,it was a waste

The Cheetah Girls: Passport to Stardom takes Aqua, Chanel and Dorinda on all new musical adventures in exciting destinations around the world. The game picks up where the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie "The Cheetah Girls One World" ends, with the girls exploring and performing their way through India and participating in various international competitions. Use the Nintendo DS stylus to tap your way through some of your favorite Cheetah Girls' songs, including five new songs from "The Cheetah Girls One World." Customize hundreds of outfits, choosing from an array of Indian-inspired fashions, as well as classic Cheetah Girls styles.

customer 's review
(Not a very good product - at all)

(Took some effort to make it work)

(Sucks)

(Stay Away)

(Wi-Fi Flaw)
Minimal instructions (for the DS) and very unprofessional looking applications make this product a waste of time and money. I got it installed and briefly saw a MAC address appear in a window, but still the DS reported an unsuccessful connection test. That was the best it ever got, after that, the MAC address wouldn't even appear any more. Even after disabling WEP, no joy. This product is schizophrenic. It's packaged with NINTENDO DS all over the box, but most setup instructions are for the PSP!! Weird.
Reading the other reviews here, I don't blame them for giving this product a bad review. My WiFi MAX didn't work right out of the box after following the provided instructions. And their WiFi MAX software that you install first is also misleading. Even though my WiFi MAX is currently working, their software still reports, "No Zydass WIFI dongle present. Please plug in your dongle into a USB port." That's terrible when you're trying to troubleshoot...it'll look like it's some hardware driver issue when it's not.

Anyway, for those of you who might have the same issue as mine, I'm going to share my solution so that hopefully it'll help you out. I followed the solution given at their website titled "1. You need to share your Internet connection (in Windows)". I use Windows XP Home Edition (32bits).

http://us.codejunkies.com/support/support_article.aspx?prodID=26&articleID=66

Other than the frustrating setup issue, this product works. I'm happily connected to the internet now with my DS!

I blame Nintendo for lacking the foresight to implement the WPA encryption instead of WEP. I think most homes that have a wireless connection is probably using WPA because it is more secure than WEP.

This thing sucks. Stupid thing just says something about the dongle not being plugged in in AFTER I installed what was on the disk and plugging it in.
If you do not want to waste your hours trying to get this thing work, stay away. It worked fine initially, but when I reconnected it some time later, it couldn't connect. I know a bit about networking and spend a lot of time trying to get it work again to no avail. Buy a wireless router instead. It is not a hardware issue, the drivers and the software is crappy and very unstable.
Since Nintendo started to enhance gamers worldwide with the Wi-Fi connection for the Nintendo DS, many companies have tried to make many knockoffs to work as well as the one that Nintendo had defined. Unfortunately, they actually haven't hit the nail on the head. The Wi-Fi Max for the Nintendo DS, doesn't work all that well for gamers who want to tackle other gamers online. Not only that, it actually freezes during the downloading. It really isn't actually worth the money this product is made out to be. I really recommend the one that Nintendo made instead. It handles much, much better.

(Fun, but Shallow)

(Solid 4/5 title worth trying)

(Customize like crazy. Repetitive yet addictive.)

(Great Game)

(Just needs a little more...)
This game was a lot better than I'd expected it to be. The combat is very simple, fun, and fast-paced, reminiscent of the old arcade game Virtual On. The customization of the game is a little bit like a simplified version of the popular Armored Core series. The story looks and feels just like the Mega Man Battle Network series.

The customization is fun, and the battles are a blast, but that's all you're going to enjoy the game for. The game's story mode is bad, especially when plagued by lame dialogue that can't be skipped. But you have to cringe your way through the story mode in order to collect enough of the many various parts to customize your robo.

The exploration in story mode is very bare. It looks just like Pokemon or the Mega Man Battle Network games, but closer to the latter in which you'll be given simple tasks like "go to point B and talk to person A, return to point A and battle person B, go home". Your home is where you go every night, have a dinner conversation with your family, and go to sleep. Then you wake up, have a breakfast conversation with your family, and go to school.

It's after school that things start to get interesting. You can go to the various parts shops for your robo, buy dioramas to pose your robo in (A time-consuming but addictive affair that is purely cosmetic and doesn't have any affect on gameplay), and visit the local Robo Center where you can battle various AI characters for fun. It all gets old very fast, but you're getting parts and money while you do it, so that should be enough incentive to keep going.

Some touch-screen features are tacked on, like posing your robo in various dioramas, and the need to polish your Custom Robo to keep it clean, because a dirty robo is impaired in battle and nets you less money after a win. Later in the game you unlock a power-up which requires pressing a button on the touch screen, but that could have easily been mapped to a button on the DS, because one button is left unused.

The game's fun really opens up when in battle, where the story mode's AI opponents range from "stand there and do nothing" to "destroy you in seconds". The game's difficulty is unbalanced and occasionally frustrating, but if you fail repeatedly you can retry as many times as you need; the game even offers you handicaps with enough consecutive losses.

Taking the game online is the funnest feature, but you have to make it through the story mode first to really enjoy it.

Here are my overall ratings (1 to 5):

Gameplay: 5
Story: 2
Multiplayer: 5
Graphics and Sound: 4
Value: 5

This is a game that requires a little work on the gamer's part to enjoy, but once you collect enough parts for your robo and you're ready to take on online multiplayer, you have a fun online multiplayer battle game that you'll be playing for a long time.

Just like the other reviewers, my son enjoyed this game a lot, but it doesn't have the long-term oomph of other top-rated titles. For the price, this is a good value and most kids will enjoy it, including the multiplay, but eventually grow tired of it and resell it for something else. My son (9) liked it quite a bit, so give it a try.
This is not an RPG. Still, the effect of improving customization (better guns, better chassis, etc.) gives the same satisfaction as leveling up a role playing character. The variety of customization is excellent.

The battles are quick and addictive. Try to stop at just one... However the battlefields are too repetitive and many of the same style battles happen over and over and over.

This is realtime, not turn based. So there is a clenching tension about each battle that makes it exciting.

I have a new game I want to play. I've had it for two weeks now. But I can't stop playing this game... Maybe just one more battle.

My son just loves it, he was so happy and he enjoys this game a lot!
I really want to like this game more, but there just not enough to go on. The battles are fun--in fact, this is sort of what I wanted the MegaMan Battle Network GBA to be like, rather than turn-based clunkers--but they're incredibly repetitive and don't seem to get much more challenging over time. The RPG aspect of it is tedious, slow moving, lacking in rewards for time investment and doesn't add much to the game play at all.
Custom Robo Arena takes place in the not-too-distant future, mankind relies on tiny, telepathically controlled robots to perform dangerous tasks. Deep-sea research, disaster relief and interplanetary exploration are all done by Robos -- popular and easily customized machines. Robos also form the favorite sport of tomorrow: battling in the holographic arenas called "holosseums." Now that criminals have taken to using these mighty miniature machines as weapons, the Custom Robo phenomenon has grown into a problem for the whole of society. Competitors battle customized robot warriors in holographic battle arenas. Victory is determined not only by fighting skill but also by how well Robo Commanders design their robot gladiators, so players need both brawn and brains to survive.

(Classic Puzzling with a Fresh Twist)
Dropcast slipped on to shelves recently from Singapore without much fanfare, which is a shame it wasn't better promoted. Its a solid puzzle game with good graphics which presents a great game package.

Dropcast incorporates a basic classical action puzzle style with a fresh twist. It brings in some new elements which make you think about your moves differently, but are still simple enough the game is very addictive. The essence of the game is popping groups of the same color blocks with your stylus, and the rest fall down. The screen rises from the bottom, and your opponent will be dropping more on top, and if your screen touches the top you lose. But depending on the colors of blocks you pop, there are additional effects more than just dropping the blocks on your opponent.

In Battle Royale mode, you pop groups of blocks of the same color, if there are two or more touching, and the rest fall to the bottom. If you have enough touching you create a 'spell' which you cast at your opponent. The effect varies depending on the color of blocks. It ranges from dropping more dead blocks on them to sending fireballs. You can counter an opponent's spell from falling on you by breaking a group of blocks with a '-' on them. Each character also has a special attack that can be obtained by breaking a large group of blocks. These generally tie up the opponent's screen for several seconds. If used wisely these can be a game winner, but are not an automatic win.

One unique feature of the game is where you pop the blocks matters- many games just randomly drop stuff as you clear blocks, but this one drops them based on where you popped the cluster. So if you see your opponent has a couple tall columns close to killing them, you can try to aim for those!

In total there are 4 block colors for each character- a basic attack, 2 spell attacks, and a counter. With a limited number of block colors the game may seem deceptively easy, but it is not. The CPU is good at giving you a run for your money so you will have to play well, since if you don't get big enough block groupings it doesn't drop anything on your opponent.

In Ingrid's Curse mode, it is like a nonstop battle to see how long you can last, but the rules are a bit different. Your goal is to fill up rows on the other side of the screen which will disappear, without letting either screen touch the top. By popping blocks you send Tetris-style shapes over to the other screen based on the number of blocks you popped and their location. So be careful about sending over a tall block or it may kill you!

There are a bunch of characters to unlock which each have their own spells and specials. There is also a bunch of Achievements you can strive for.
You can play up to 4 players on a single cartridge.

The graphics are gothicly cute and gameplay is great. My only nitpick would be that sometimes when you die, it cuts very quickly to the 'You Lose' screen so you miss seeing what killed you (generally it just means your opponent dumped a huge load of blocks on you.)

A great game for addicts of games like Meteos and Planet Puzzle League :D

Get ready for some spell casting mayhem in this wicked fusion of puzzle game and battle mechanics. Ingrid didn't play nice with the other boys and girls so she decided to make some new friends from her stuffed animals. Once the toys came to life, they needed life skills, and she was happy to teach them 24 devastating spells to use and abuse.
