(great replacement)
『Great replacement to stylus included w/ DS. Studier than any other brand/style we've tried. Won't scratch screen either.』

(Suitable replacement!)
『My kids lose these pens all the time, I was happy to see replacements under $5. There are other versions that include an actual ink pen, but that would be trouble in the hands of a 2 yr old. There are vanity versions in odd shapes, such as a Star Wars life sabre or a version that curls around your finger, but those don't fit into the native slot on the DS. Then there is the plain old replacement, this one, that will do just as well as the one that came with your device and fit nicely into the slot. Perfect!』

(Nice Product)
『Bought these for my son as all of his stylus' have disappeared over the past year. The game holders aren't bad, a little tough to open, but do the job of holding the extra games he has. Product shipped quickly.』

(Decent quality)
『I bought this set for my teenage boy. So far he is happy with a quality. Styluses fit console exactly like the original ones from Nintendo. Case fits three cards, locks good. Even though it should work great for carrying cards, be careful not to loose them while opening this case, since there are no latches to hold cards in place. Overall, great value for the price: I couldn't find better deal anywhere else.』

(Buy it for the stylus)
『I have used many good screen protectors. These are not good.

The major problem is that once you stick them on, they are a huge pain to lift. Scotch tape does NOTHING. I had to use packaging tape to lift the protectors, which is a headache since the tape is really too strong for this purpose. A good screen protector, like the one I use on my iPhone, lifts up with ease using just plain scotch tape. After trying to clean the top screen off for about 10 minutes without success, I just tossed it in the trash. It wasn't worth the hassle. The touch screen protector applied fairly decently, so I've left that on there for now.

I gave it 2 stars for the stylus, which is a nice product. Way better than the cramp-inducing standard stylus. It alone is worth the price, but it's a shame that the protectors are so chintzy.』

(Screen Protection and a longer Stylus!)
『Applying the screen protection can be tricky as far as keeping out the air bubbles and making sure it is straight, but overall its work very nicely. You can always push the air bubbles out with your fingers but it is a slow process. I was really impressed with this new stylus though, its much longer than the small DS stylus, it feels more like a regular pen. Even though it doesn't slide into the DS i still like it better, its just more comfortable in your hand. This combo package is a steal, i would have payed this amount for the pen alone.』

(Great product)
『I had never applied a protective filter before, but I got this on without much trouble. Got a couple bubbles on the top screen and none on the bottom. Product is clear and the included stylus is pretty nice. I would recommend this to anybody wanting a protected screen.』

(Very Good)
『Does exactly what it's supposed to. Protects my DSi screen and the extra stylus are great.』

(Great stylus)
『I bought this primarily for the stylus. And the stylus is great, it fits my hand well and feels more natural and comfortable than the one that is included with the DSi. The screen protector is exactly every other screen protector I have ever seen. It was impossible to put on without getting dust between it and the screen. I properly cleaned the screen ahead of time and was in a relatively dust free environment, however the static charge on this was very high and it attracted 3 large pieces of debris. I think anyone who says they don't have these problems either applies them in a clean lab or just can't see the bubbles (every product I have ever seen in real life like this has always had bubbles from dust, no matter what the owner said).

So in short, buy it for the stylus but don't expect anything from the screen protector.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review
("And here? Inside this hotel? Am I going to find something I don't want to see?"--Kyle Hyde)
『This "mystery novel" puts you in the character of Kyle Hyde. Hyde is a tough, no-nonsense, surly former New York detective turned salesman for Red Crown. His boss, Ed, also uses Hyde for side jobs "finding things that don't wanna be found." Hyde is also looking for something that doesn't want to be found. He turned in his badge three years before after shooting his partner Bradley who had turned on him. He watched Bradley fall into the Hudson but, for some reason, believes his partner is still alive. He wants to track him down not to finish him off but to ask him why he had turned traitor. His business and quest takes him to a dingy hotel in Los Angeles called Hotel Dusk. The story takes place in one day: December 28, 1979. I was persuaded to buy this game because of the time period in which the story takes place. As a child of the '80s, it is pretty cool to see things like cassette tapes, beepers, and landline phones.

Hyde runs into all sorts of characters who work for or are guests in the hotel. Louie DeNonno, a hippie slacker who does lots of jobs for the hotel, is someone from Bradley's law enforcement past (the other side of the law) who becomes a big help to Hyde getting him into staff-only areas. Other characters he meets have back stories that often intertwine with each other. It actually is a challenge to keep all the stories strait. Another reviewer compared the graphics of the characters to the sketches in the A-Ha "Take On Me" video. That is a pretty accurate description. Their different expressions that correspond to the moment (albeit repeated) give them personality and believability (i.e. Rosa, the cleaning lady/cook and Martin Summer, the snobby novelist) although the fact that their stories all seem to connect is a bit far fetched.

I used a walkthrough to complete the game. I don't think I would have been able to without it as some of the tasks proved difficult even with the walkthrough. The flour on the pen and the bookmark in the box scenes I had to repeat over and over as I couldn't trigger it. I can't imagine sticking to something like that while wondering if I was even on the right track. I think I might just give up and try something else. In another task, you need to close the DS and open it back up. Now, I don't know how anyone would just stumble upon that trick without a walkthrough. As other reviewers have noted, there is a lot of dialogue in this game. Well, it is, after all, a "mystery novel." I don't mind the dialogue for the most part; however, some of it does seem unnecessarily long and pointless. One dialogue scene near the end of the game I thought would never end. There are cases where you can say or do the wrong thing and be kicked out of the hotel. Thankfully, you can re-start where you left off and correct your mistake.

I enjoyed the game but I am giving it a critical score because I was disappointed in the ending. I don't want to give anything away, but my brain was so cluttered with the different stories of the characters that, when it finally reached the end, I just did not have closure. Loose ends of some of the stories are tied up maybe not completely but neatly enough but, the main story, I just don't think Hyde would be satisfied. There are too many things left open. And the room that grants wishes? Whatever. In sum, it was an interesting idea with intriguing game play and stories, but was too complicated and, in the end, remained in the dusk.

(i really like the game)
『This game kept my attention for the most part the only thing i do not like is all the damn talking. alot of it was uncall for but other then that i really like the mystery behind it.』

(It's ok)
『I didn't care to much for this game it's boring not enough action too much talking』

(Disappointing game)
『The game plays like an old 1960's film, slow moving, and way more dialog than necessary. The animation style is irritating to watch and I just couldn't get into the game. In its defense, I stopped 2 hours in, I just couldn't stay interested any further than that.』

(Hotel Dusk)
『Hated It. Was looking for hidden object game, which this was advertised as. I got to 8:40 anyway, but say or do the wrong thing or wrong answer to a person, END GAME. I am done. I am in pain 24/7 and find games that hold my concentration will keep that at a tolerable level for sometimes a very long time. The Forgotten Ruins is a perfect example. I can't wait for DS to come out with more. I ruined my computer filling it with downloads. Don't like most arcade games, but Mahjong and Jewelquest work for me. Any old games or similar ones especially by Spintop would be much appreciated advice from anyone from you or your reviewers. Sincerely, E. Zaharopoulos』

Part hard-boiled detective story, and part interactive mystery,Hotel Dusk: Room 215is an intriguingly addictive yarn that takes place over the course of one night; December 24, 1979.

Game Storyline
Kyle Hyde, a disgraced New York detective turned salesman, arrives at a run-down Los Angeles inn called Hotel Dusk. Once there, Kyle soon becomes involved in a 30-year-old mystery that involves lies, betrayal, kidnapping, and murder.

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review
(Repetative, simple, somewhat fun mini game)
『This game is like taking a girl out on a date every day for a month. She gets to wear different clothes each night, but you have to eat at the same place, order the same thing, and watch the same movie.

What we have here is basically space invaders on crack. Stuff flies around on the top and you shoot at it by flicking the stylus while dragging your "ship" around to keep it out of harms way. The "levels" change which means more stuff to shoot at but it is basically the same old thing with a different background and different skins for the enemies.

I would definitely recommend this game for kids, for them I'd say its an easy 5 out of 5 stars. It has a fun arcade type of feel and I think the younger ages will love this. It has great presentation and it is non-violent if you're looking for that sort of thing.

For those who aren't kids, this game is fun for a short time, there is not enough content here to warrant owning it. I have a DS because I travel so much, I play it on the plane. For the price I would definitely pick up something else that will keep you involved longer. This would have been better if it had another (or several) games like it on the same card. It feels like a "download content", or flash player, type of game. Though I have to say again that the presentation and graphics are nice.

(Not very fun, scratches up yuor screen)
『I'll leave the descriptions to the other reviews and just say the game is reeeeeally repetitive : you use your stylus to flick at the the approaching invaders. Over and over and over. I had a screen protector on my DS and scratched it all up! I never even unlocked enough levels to open the relaxing mode (and I have beaten every other DS game I've purchased). Good concept but just not the right game for me. I gave it 3 stars overall because it is artistically impressive but just not very fun.』

(Not for me)
『I bought this game based on the rave reviews here. I have to say I'm quite disappointed. As another reviewer pointed out, I spend so much time focusing on the bottom screen that I'm unable to enjoy the beautiful (and they are fabulous!) firework effects. I'm stuck on a stage so I'm unable to get to the "Relax" mode that I was anticipating. I find the game frantic and unsettling, particularly the moving backgrounds and repetitive stylus movements. This is strictly a 'shoot everything as fast as you can' game and has none of the puzzle aspects of other games I enjoy.』

(Highly Recommended)
『I was reluctant to buy this game due to the apparent simplicity. How much fun could it be just shooting off fireworks, right? It's one of the most highly rated games for the system though, and since I've tried to get a decent variety, I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did.

The repetitive structure with increasing difficulty, and the graphics and music come together to create a very addictive game. It bears a close resemblance to arcade classics of old. Furthermore, it's the best game I've played that has a mandatory use for the stylus. I daresay that using the stylus in the majority of DS games comes with some degree of awkwardness. This game would feel awkward without it.

If you're looking for a game you can easily pick up and play, this is it. Don't be surprised however if it's not as easy to put down.』

(Easy enough for a 5 year old)
『I have 2 boys, a 4 1/2 and a 6 year old. This game is a little challenging but they learn how to play quite easily. The tough part is the learning of angles which they are getting better at.

by the way, it is a fun game for adults too.』

『Use your firework arsenal to blast your way through this arcade style shooter! This fast-paced shoot 'em up puts a new spin on classic arcade style gameplay allowing you to blast down hordes of imaginative enemies with explosive fireworks launched at the flick of your wrist. Maneuver your ship through the enemy fire and falling debris as you collect stars from vanquished foes to advance towards big boss battles. A number of special powers will be made available as you move from one exotic locale to the next where one wrong move or one missed shot could be your last.』

(Great game for the kids)
『Who says a game has to be ultra-violent to be good. Harvest Moon DS proves that you don't need flying splatters of blood, guts and heavy artillery to make a good game. Highly recommended for young children and adults alike.』

(Favorite)
『I hadn't found a fun DS game yet, until this one.
It's a lot of fun and very cute! :]』

(I CAN'T DO THIS!)
『It's not the games fault....It's me. I can't use those directional 'thingys'. All my Nintendo DS games have been played with the stylis (sp?) What can I tell you?? I'm 65 and my fingers don't work too well at times. I have Zenes Ocean&Rainforest,
Super Collapse, WordJong, Amazing Adventures-, 7 wonders- etc. So I gave it to one of my grandchildren. How can I have this not happen again? If I'd bought it in a store I could have asked about it. But I really like buying online.』

(Warning- This game willl stop working unexpectedly)
『There appears to be a serious glitch in this game. At some point in the game (looking at various sources online) you may no longer be able to access your save game file. A quick Google search will show that this is an extremely widespread problem, and many walkthroughs even mention this fact. Now, if this happens at the beginning, no big deal, just start over again. But after playing very close to the end of the game, my girlfriend can no longer load her saved game. From what I can tell, there is no way to recover once this happens, and you will have to start over again. I've never had to return a game before, but I am certainly making an exception for this one. In my opinion, with respect to video games, there is nothing more frustrating (and less fun) than investing many hours into a game, only to have your save file destroyed.』

(Ours keeps crashing)

(It is fun and a challenge)
『This is a fun challenge. It is too difficult for very young children. It requires speed and dexterity.』

(Good for kids--patient ones)
『This game is not for everybody, but what it does, it does well. The premise is simple--use the D-pad or the stylus to roll your monkey character around the screen, collecting bananas and trying not to fall off the edge of the platform. This is ALL the game is, so if you're used to games that have an arcing storyline, this isn't really going to be your thing. It's just a bit of arcade fun.

This isn't to say it's not challenging. Instead of moving your character around, you're moving the platform around to direct their rolling, kind of like those marble maze table games. Since the neither the D-pad or the touch screen are all that sensitive, you will often roll off the edge before you've had a chance to change direction. It will take a lot of practice to master the skill, and I couldn't personally find any motivation to do so.

If you or your kid like to pick up your DS to kill ten minutes before you go do something else, this is a good game to do it with. Chances are it won't hold your attention for longer than that, though. It's a cute game (sickeningly so, actually), and it's well-made, but I just couldn't get enthusiastic about it.』

(oh my god!)
『I bought this game because i loved supermonkeyball on the wii! this game is so fustrating that I wanted to kill myself, put the game on top of me, and write a note on it that says it is all your fault supermonkey ball!!! not really :) but I was reallllyyyy fustrated and on the verge of tears on the second level of this kid's game!!! my god! cant someone make these games just a little more easy?』

(monkeys R 4 luvin')
『got this for my 13 yr olddaughter, she loves it. Kept her quiet on a 725 mile drive back from grandma's.』

(Probably great for kids but not adults)
『As an adult gamer, I thought I'd try this game and see what it's about.

If you like driving or racing games, this is for you.

It reminds me of Pac n Roll DS where the pac man rolls down lanes. This game is similar. You have to roll the ball with the monkey inside it down certain paths, collect bananas along the way and race against time to the goal. That's basically it for this game.

I can see where kids would enjoy this simple&cute game. The graphics are nice and in 3D. The stylus can be used in this game but the buttons are preferred for better control.

I am not into racing or driving games so in my opinion, I gave this 2 stars.』

(Gravity)
『This game makes you think. Once the levels are completed there are other areas to go to.』

(good for the brain)
『this one is great for exercising your brain. and if you can't figure it out, they'll give you a few hints. i'm still enjoying it.』

(Open-Ended Puzzle Solving)
『Basics: A ball rolls downhill and you have to position objects in its path to indirectly cause the ball to hit the target.

Pros:

The puzzles are generally well-constructed and are fun to figure out.
Many of them can be solved in more than one way so there is room for you to be creative.
The mysterious gothic ambiance in backgrounds and music is a nice touch.

Cons:

Puzzles don't really increase in difficulty after about number 30.
If you are an experienced puzzler then it may not take you that long to complete all 100 puzzles.
No editor or online component to make and share your own puzzles.
The minigames don't have any puzzle aspect to them.
The sandbox mode can be fun for a short while, but there really wasn't enough to do in there.

Comments:

I didn't feel the designers reached the full complexity level they could have, but still there was enough challenge(don't use the hints option if you are worried that this game will be too easy) in the puzzles that I felt accomplished when I was done. Overall I enjoyed honing my spatial reasoning skills with this game and would definitely buy the sequel if they make it. Hopefully they will also offer a shareable level editor like in the DSi Mario Minis March Again game.

(Great mind teaser)
『this is a great mind teaser game. i took it on two plane trips and im not even half way through yet. it starts out easy but gets challenging.』

(I'm probably not the sharpest tool in the shed)
『This is a challenging game, and it took me some time to realize that you didn't necessarily need to use all of the items that were available. The objective of each level is the same, to get one of the items to hit the button. The challenge, of course, is to figure out how exactly to do that, with increasingly difficult paths presented to reach said button. I'm currently stuck at level 36 (don't be snooty, you whiz kids!), and it's frustrating to try every combination you can think of with the same negative results. But, I really enjoy putting my brain to the test, and I will continue to play this game, regardless of my results. Final analysis is that it's fun! The music is pretty dull, though.』
『Professor Heinz Wolff's Gravity is a game of 100 set-'em-up and knock-'em-down puzzles, all based on the laws of physics. Players construct devices from building blocks, levers, conduits, and other parts. True to the title, most puzzles are solved by harnessing the force of gravity, through a rolling ball, a falling block, or other such event. Some puzzles have players creating contraptions of Rube Goldberg-like complexity, although many have more than one solution, and often the simplest works as well as any. The Wii edition of the game also includes 20 "sandbox" levels, for player experimentation, as well as four multiplayer mini-games.』
『A quirky, detailed puzzle game, Professor Heinz Wolff'sGravityfor Nintendo DS packs all the fun of real, scientific experimentation without requiring you to sit through any boring intro-class lectures. You'll arrange objects, take advantage of common gravitational effects, and learn from the unexpected as you tackle a new endeavor on each level.

(Great game with a irritating flaw)
『First of all, this is an amazing game. Being a hobbyist drummer, I love rhythms and music and this game got me addicted. Initially, it seems not that difficult a game to play. You start with the easier level of difficulty, playing the easiest stages, and, one by one, stage by stage, you start practicing, and practicing, and beating the stages and the first difficulty level. When you get to the second difficulty level, things start to get a little more difficult, specially in the latest and more difficult stages, but, after trying it some times, you will manage to beat them all. Then comes the real challenge, the hard mode (called Sweatin'). That's when you feel the thrill! The most advanced stages are really demanding but, again, you will eventually beat them all and advance to the next and last level, the Hard Rock level (that I'd call insane! :-)). History repeats itself and will probably manage to beat again the 19 available stages. So, what is it that I want to tell you? What I want to tell you is that if you are happy with just beating each stage at each level, the game is not THAT difficult, BUT, if you plan on getting to 80 million points so to unlock all the unlockables, then you will need persistence and practicing a lot. THEN, after you get there, you will start looking at that score and you will start thinking why the heck there are NINE digits for the total score and not eitht, after all, 80,000,000 uses eight digits! The thing is that you can get past the 100,000,000 points! How to? THAT is when you will need more then ever too much patience and too much training, practicing, and going back to previously beaten stages to beat them again but now that you are used to it, without missing ANY hit and trying as hard as you can to not miss ANY 300-point hit. The way points are counted and accumulated in this game, if you miss ONE SINGLE hit, during a stage, your total points for that stage will EXTREMELY decrease; you need to start it over and try again until you miss NONE during the whole music. That is the only way to make points enough to get you to the 80 million mark. BUT, if you want the 100 million mark (which doesn't bring you any more bonuses at all, just the beauty of having an "1" in that ninth digit and make that ninth digit worth), you will need not only not to miss ANY hit but also score 300 points in MOST of them, which means PRECISION! (you will need no more than 5% of the hits with no-300 points, as an average!). And THAT is when you find that this game CAN BE A PAIN IN THE NECK because the exact timing for some 300-point hits is just awkward, out of sync with the most obvious references, sometimes in sync with some very obscure element of the music, so obscure that you can do it sometimes, but not always, and hitting 300-point through the whole music without any mistake becomes mostly impossible! I've seen some videos on youtube of some players that do score all 300-point hit in all songs but, for me, it is just impossible. I have managed to have all-300 point hits in just some musics in the easiest level of difficulty and in just one music in the next easiest difficulty level! Anyway, I got to 101 million points being the maximum around 104 million. I got happy with my acchievement, anyway. It reached my limit of patience and skills for the game.

So, I removed one star from this game because, when you reach the level where you want all 300-point hits, to get to 100+ million, it becomes, many times, frustrating and irritating because the "point of exact hit" of the markers are too much obscure, even for a hobbyist drummer that knows about rhythm very well like me.』

(Video game sleeper hit...)
『I bought this game with hesitations, but to my suprise, it's my favorite game so far. It's quite addictive and the music is overall pretty good. Some of the title songs are not sung by the original artist, but that doesn't affect game play at all. It's harder than it seems at first and I've really struggled with a few stages, but it's so much fun, I've even gone back and replayed some stages that I really enjoyed. The comic book style story telling on the top screen can be a bit distracting, but once you've finished with the stage, you can "replay" it and then really watch the story line. Some of them are cheesy, but all of them are entertaining and one is even a bit of a tear-jerker. All in all, you should give this game a try if you enjoy rhythm based games.』

(Skeptical at first...)
『I bought this game based on its glowing reviews but didn't play it until I had beaten a bunch of other games. I finally put it in on a whim and did the little intro. Then I played the first two songs and was wondering what all the fuss was about. It's kind of like DDR for the DS or Parappa the Rappa (does anyone remember this game for PS1??) only you tap instead of dance or hit buttons. As I continued on, I got better at the timing and before I noticed it, I was hooked! This game didn't come out of my DS for over a month; until I beat all four levels. I like that you can skip a bunch of the "junk" (although some people probably found it entertaining). You can select a song and get right to the tapping. :) You can't skip the happy ending if you pass the song but you can skip the bad ending and try again. I played this game for hours and didn't even notice how time was flying! There are bonus levels to unlock and you go up in rank as you accumulate points. I found myself going back to try to improve my grade on the songs. There is a wide variety of music in this game from Madonna to Village People to Good Charlotte. Some of the last songs of the levels are somewhat difficult and took many many trials to beat them but I never got frustrated with this game. I highly recommend this game. Perfect for those long plane rides (best to use headphones though!) because you'll be landing before you know it!』

(Good Gift for All Ages)
『Elite Beat Agents is a really enjoyable game and perfect for anyone who likes video games that deal with music (such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band, etc).

The jist of the game is this: A song starts playing on the bottom of the DS screen. Numbered bubbles start popping up. You hit the numbered bubble on the 'beat' and score points. There's more to it, but it really is almost that simple. When you complete all 15 rounds, you move up to the next 'level' and play the songs over again, only this time there more difficult. There are a total of 3 levels you can go through, making this game fun for a long time.

Elite Beat Agents has many popular songs to play along to, including things from these artist: Queen, Avril, The Village People, Madonna, Hoobastank, the Rolling Stones, and many more. Songs are timed well enough for you to play this during a short train ride or a long one. With the DS, you can easily carry this game around with you to have for any moments of 'downtime' you find during the day. I, personally, brought this game to the laundry mat with me to keep me occupied while waiting for my wash!

This game says 10 and up, but I think you could go a little young, depending on how good the recipient (or yourself) are good at playing rhythm games like this. A good stocking stuffer or addition for the kid who is just getting his DS. Enjoy the game!』

(Awesome!)
『this game was really cool. it really is worth it at such low price...

after your done tho, you prolly wont want to play again xcept on wifi, which is awesome because your friend(s) dont need the game to play, and up to four can go with just one card! so it is a very good multiplayer game!』

『Elite Beat Agents are a super-secret agency made up of the coolest group of guys this world has ever known. Of course, according to official records, they do not exist. Their leader, an ex-CIA agent named Commander Kahn, scans the world, seeking out cries for help. When he finds one, he dispatches the agents, who assist their targets by performing a song and dance. The hypnotic nature of their rocking revives the targets with "Groovy" energy that boosts their willpower and helps them overcome their obstacles. Whether they're helping a lost dog find its way home or helping a babysitter charm a hunky football player, no crisis is too weird.』
