(great gift)
(Don't Buy a DS without this) Nice. But there are other colors and other types of kits. certainly meets functional purpose. I recommend this kit. My son got this with his money. I only allow him to play with it in the car. He loves it. His little sister wants one now. The Gameboy advance games fit in it as well! It's ok. I would have liked it better if the case had a sleeve inside that held the DS Lite in place. I ordered this gift for my daughter for Christmas. It was a great item to go with her new DS lite. It came in perfect condition, and on time. This is a perfect kit for the DS. It has already saved us heartache when our 4 year old dropped it. No problem. It's safe in the soft case. The extra stylus comes in handy too. Get it! Mad Catz Starter Kit for Nintendo DS Lite has all the essential accessories to enhance your DS Lite gaming experience. The Kit comes with a protective EVA case that will keep your DS Lite from damage while allowing you to store extra accessories and games. The kit also includes a replacement stylus that will fit inside your DS Lite stylus slot. The game case has been uniquely designed to hold up to 6 DS games for you to conveniently browse. You can keep the screens of your DS Lite smudge free with the microfiber cleaning cloth. Mad Catz promises you innovative, quality products for all your gaming needs. (good game)
(It is fun for star wars fan.)
(Good gift for young teen)
(Good game) If you have just gotten a DS this game is kinda tough. The controls are pretty hard to remember, but the story and gameplay is very good. It gives pretty good inlook into a few new charecters. The tutorial really helps, especially for a some-what rpg challenged girl like me. good game play, fun and entertaining This game's story is a spin off between episode three and four. You will penetrate into the enemy and get the information of the death star. Although graphic is not so good but you will enjoy the game if you are a star wars freak. Gift for a young teenager. I know nothing about games, but she enjoyed it very much. I am about 10% of the way through the game and I like it. It's just "Star Wars" enough to satisfy the Star Wars geek in me and is good enough to keep the gamer geek in me happy. Not the hugest fan that you need to have the droid get you through some of it, but whatever. As for graphics, I don't think they are too bad. They are good enough for the platform they are being played on. I would expect better if this was Wii or Xbox. So, all in all, I think it's a good game. Star Wars: Lethal Alliance is the first original Star Wars game built exclusively for portable gaming systems. Immerse yourself in an adventure that takes place between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. Gamers will engage in collaborative gameplay as they embody both Twi'lek Rianna Saren and her security droid Zeeo. Hired by the Rebel Alliance, this deadly duo must work together to infiltrate Imperial planets and fight legions of evil fiends. Our heroes' ultimate goal: Uncover the Empire's most deadly secret -- the Death Star. Rerations < Star Wars: Lethal Alliance >

(Challenging and fun)
(A fun and challenging puzzle game for the puzzle enthusiast.)
(Cool puzzler! If you like Tetris or Battleship, you'll like this!) I was originally introduced to Aargon on my palm. This seemed like an alternative for the DS for my kids. And it is a reasonable facsimile. They enjoy it. This game really makes you think and that's what I like most about it. I have seen Jr. High students play this on computers at school as a problem solving activity and thought it would be fun to have it for the kids (and me). I was not disappointed Prizm is a great little find for those of you who enjoy a puzzle game. Prizm features simple mechanics with a load of great content. There are tons of puzzles for the player to work through, and you'll definitely be finding yourself spending a lot of time on the last set of puzzles toward the end.
I originally bought it on sale for $9.99, but I'd still say it's worth the full retail price. The box cover for Prism makes it seem too much for kids but it is actually a fun brain teaser for any age. You have to line up mirrors, light beam splitters and colored filters to direct a ray of light at a colored target set in a maze. For variety, there are several different playing modes (casual puzzling, timed, hyper, etc) but for me, the puzzles are more fun to contemplate rather than than race to solve. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is not shoot em up, Super Mario-esque fun, it is more like solving a visual soduku. I'd also give it a higher score if it used different pieces and "worlds" rather than just increasing complexity on an evolving playing field. Bottom line: The satisfaction comes from solving the brain teasers not from an adrenaline rush. The Glowbos are a peaceful race who live in a black hole called Oog and survive on light sucked into the black hole from all different dimensions. But now all the light is being consumed by the greedy space monster named Bhobail and the Glowbos are starving to death! With the help of a friendly race called Bulboids, as well as a variety of tools such including Mirrors, T-Junctions and the precious Prisms themselves, you must manipulate light to save the Glowbos from extinction. (Animal fun on the go!)
(Logic is lacking)
(The Best Animal / Pet Game - Fun AND Learning) Pet Pals is a fun game that lets you explore and learn how to be a vet. When done with a patient you feel good a bout yourself because it feels as if you just saved an innocent animal. Now the bad part.....when you finish a leval (say..easy) and go on to a different one its the same thing you just did except with no flashing icons and its not even harder and there arent harder tasks and there arent different types of animals. But overall, its a good game I take my kids on road trips all the time and so when I found out that Pet Pals had come to NDS I could not be more pleased. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing that your children are satisfied to endure a 5 hour car ride; and this is all due to their Pet Pals game. I get to sit back and relax and they get to take care of their favorite animals.
It is also nice to know that they are not watching violent graphics. Great game for parents that only want the best for their kids. It's a cute game and semi-educational, but sometimes things just don't make sense. I often end up hitting the hint button because I've tried to inspect the parts of the animal that were mentioned by the owner and they're wrong. Then the hint says to look at something unrelated out of nowhere. There's nothing to direct you that way. Items can't be done out of order whether or not they're related. I can understand not randomly letting you bandage or give medicine before you've realized there's an injury or sickness, but why does it matter which order you check pulse, temp and breathing? And more importantly, if it matters why aren't they consistently in the same order so you can know which one to hit?
The concept of the game is pretty good. The graphics are ok and the tools are all well laid out and all function well on the touchscreen (except I consistently had trouble with the x-ray not registering). I just lost all interest in it because the only option was to pick something at (semi-)random and lose points for it or click hint and play the entire game as an elaborate version of simon says.
Oh, and those mini-games where you can "learn about animals" are trivia questions, the square tile-sliding puzzles and match. What are you going to learn about animals from sliding tiles and matching picture cards? My kids love this game and unlike other pey/animal games, here they actually learn something and have fun learning. The sounds, colors and actions are really engaging for the kids and we all have fun with the Triva game... again fun and education and they actually feel like a real Vet!
This is a can't miss 'no-brainer' if you have kids and would like them to learn somethin every now and then while having fun with their Ninetndo DS! WELL worth the money... Pet Pals: Animal Doctor invites players to step into the challenging world of veterinary medicine as they diagnose and treat 30 different medical cases created by real-life veterinarians. All on your very own Nintendo DS with touchscreen control.
In Pet Pals: Animal Doctor, players will learn the techniques required to diagnose and treat 23 different pets, including a Yorkshire terrier, python, turtle, parakeet, rabbit, Siamese cat and hamster. To do so, players must successfully administer more than 40 Touch Screen tests while interacting with stressed patients and concerned pet owners. Medical cases range from hairballs to infections and broken bones. After the treatment is complete, players can tend to their recovering patients by cleaning their environment, and feeding and playing with them until they're all better. (Attention Grabber)
(Yuck)
(NOT like the others)
(Terrible game...don't buy it!) This game is what we call "broken." Sudoku only works properly if each puzzle has a single, unique solution, and the player can find that solution based on the puzzle presented. Sudoku Mania is broken because its puzzles do not have unique solutions. To add insult to injury, the interface is pretty awful, too. This was part of a birthday gift for a friend who loves sudoku. In fact, he loves is so much, he wears down the batteries on his Nintendo since gets so involved with it. You'd have more fun just tossing $20.00 out the window. At least the person who found your $20 would be happy. Sudoku Mania is the WORST DS game I've ever played, and the WORST sudoku game I've ever played, and I've played a LOT. I wish I had read these reviews BEFORE I purchased the game. I've learned my lesson! I absolutely DO NOT recommend you buy this game. It's quite difficult to maneuver around the game board. Don't buy it. I can only add to the reviews and agree that this is the worst Sudoku game I have ever seen. A total waste of money. Read all the other reviews to find out why. Don't buy it! Sudoku Mania is a reason for portable puzzle fiends to rejoice! The puzzle sensation makes its debut onthe Nintendo DS, with exclusive features not found on any other console. With its time saving Touch Screen control and infinite number of puzzles this is the version of the classic puzzle game you'll want to take everywhere with you. (Repeat questions WAY too soon!) This game is just like the TV version, very fun. But you do get repeat questions after only a few plays. Kind of dissapointing. I wanted a true challenge every time. I just didn't get it with this game. If you are a fan of the show you will like the game because it is really similar. There are also other versions of the game included like 1 vs 100 poker where you can bet money if you know the right answer. It is a fun game, I was just dissapointed with the repeat questions. I had been looking forward to this game for a LONG time, so imagine my disappointment when after playing about 5 or 6 games, I started getting repeat questions. Since then the repeat questions have been coming frequently. It has become a test of memory instead of a test of knowledge. BIG disappointment. 1 vs. 100 puts you in the hot seat as you play against 100 mob members. Answer the questions correctly and eliminate the mob members. If you give the wrong answer, the game is over. 1 vs. 100 for the Nintendo DS recreates the fun of the hit TV show, while 4 additional game modes bring on new and competitive excitement. The multiplayer aspect is key; competition will add to the nerve-racking decision-making of the traditional TV show. The game features TV host Bob Saget. Rerations < 1 Vs. 100 >

customer 's review (Vain hope for screen protectors)
(WORK'N THE BRAIN...OH YES)
(Don't buy for your DS)
(Good Screen Protector for DS Lite)
(tricky to install, but worth the hassle.) I read the reviews of these screen protectors before making my own purchase. They report either complete success or complete failure so, of course, I was hoping my story would be one of success. Alas! I carefully cleaned the lower screen of my new Nintendo DS Lite and removed the plastic support attached to tab #1, so far so good. The protector went on fine but then came the part where so may others describe failure: removal of tab #2. I'm not sure why packaging would be so different that some of the products have clear films to which the stickers are attached, as described by Elizabeth Moynihan, and other versions of the product have 1 clear film to which tab #1 is attached but no second clear film separate from the protector for attaching tab #2. (I checked again carefully today to make sure there really is not an additional layer and, no, there is not.) In fact, tab #2 did not lift cleanly from my screen protector, leaving about half the adhesive with the torn paper on the protector. I called Intec and they claimed that they never heard of this and accused me of not correctly removing the tab. (How can you not correctly remove a tab???? If it's such a trick they would do well to actually provide some written instructions! Apparently they've never heard of Post-Its...) However, the guy played along and tried the process on one from their stock and, sure enough, he was able to recreate it. However, he continued to insist that more careful removal would not have resulted in the problem. He offered me the opportunity of paying for return shipping to receive a replacement or trying a product called Goo-Gone to remove the remaining sticker. I declined. I'm going to try to get a replacement from J&R but I still may end up paying for return shipping and the replacement may not work any better than the original.Nintendo DS Lite Safe Screen I DEFINITLY HAVE SEEN AN IMPROVEMENT IN MY MEMORY AND LOVE THE CHALLENGES!
DS LITE: GAMES: "BRAIN AGE 1&2" AND "LEFT BRAIN/RIGHT BRAIN" Product did not fit the touch screen on my DS, it was oversize compared to the screen. I threw mine away! Definitely not recommended! I would recommend to anyone who gives their kids a ds lite to get one of these, not even this particular one, but just one.. it will save you lots of irritation, I'm sure you would much rather them scratch up something that costs $5.00 vs the $130.00... that's my two cents... you can get them at Walmart for like $4.00 sometimes.. check around.. Got these screen protectors to protect the touch-screen. Once I figured out how to install them, they are great. The installation of the protector is tricky though. Make sure the screen is CLEAN. The screen protectors come sandwiched between clear peel-off sheets on each side and little paper tabs attached. When you get the protectors, and after your screens are clean, you peel off the thin film that was keeping the screen-side of the protector dust-free and squeegee it on (to remove bubbles) and then, and this is the part that got me, you have to peel off the thin film that is now between you and the actual screen protector. I had trouble getting the top film off, and for a minute, was very frustrated because it looks like the paper tab is all that needs to be peeled off, but it's not. There's a whole film there that gets peeled off. After you manage to get that top film off, the screen protectors are GREAT! Intec's Safe Screens provide your DS Lite with a protective transparent film for both screens. These films cling to the screen and can be removed by just peeling them off, no messy glues to worry about. Safe Screens are thin enough to maintain the sensitivity of the DS stylus, yet strong enough to prevent unwanted scratches on your screen. Rerations < Nintendo DS Lite Safe Screen >
