I love this, once I got used to the game play, I became addicted. Great fun and keeps my heart beating fast!
I cannot put this game down. I start and an hour or two goes by!
great graphics, just like playing it on the big screen. i think this may be the best game i own for my DS. if you like action and speed it is well worth the money. it is a challenge for the eye - hand coordination. would highly recommend this game to anyone.

This is by far my favorite game. So addicting, so much fun! I'm 40+ and can be somewhat challenged with the controls. Had a blast playing this game and still pick it up to play a few levels.
I love this game. I have not stop playing it since I received it in the mail

(A pretty fun game!!)

(I enjoyed playing Fashion Studio: Paris Collection)
My hubbie bought this for me since I was finished w/ Cooking mama dinner w/ friends. I have enjoyed playing it. One thing you should know you have to hold the DS like a book.(at first I was like is there a defect in this game but no this is just the way it played!!)

Here's a little bit about it: You are opening up your own boutique(Your own brand of course) You create your own looks by using different types of fabric. You unlock make-up, bags that you can also customize to match your outfits, you also unlock jewerly, scarves,&sunglasses. You get to pick from different hair colors and hair styles. Everytime you make 3-4 outfits using various things that are unlocked you move up a floor which unlocks a few more dresses, bags, etc. There are 8 floors.

Cons: More outfits should be unlocked not just 3-4 at the most at a time.
Should have the option of dresses not just tops&skirts.
THE MAIN CON THOUGH IS YOU CAN ONLY SAVE 10 DESIGNS AT A TIME WHICH REALLY SUCKS!! I SPEND SOME TIME GETTING EACH OF MY OUTFITS JUST RIGHT AND I CAN ONLY KEEP 10!! Should be maybe 15 I think that would be cool!
The coloring system takes some getting used too. The game is pretty short. I got it Fri. and I'm already on the 8th floor. The only good thing is you can make two brand names which is good.

All in all though this is a pretty fun game&I will be playing it for awhile but I recommend getting this from Target for 19.99!!

*What would make it cooler if you could have your outfits categorized in Summer, fall, winter, etc but alas it is not to be or maybe if you could name your models*

I had fun playing this game. I thought it was cool to make up my own fashion designs, and models. You get to chose things like hair and eye color. All in all, I really liked this game.
Open your own studio in the heart of Paris, the capital of high fashion. Now you can create complete high-end fashion designs– from couture gowns to accessories – and display them in your very own boutique. Whether you are designing for the store window or the Paris runway, you’ll mix colors, textures, and motifs to meet fashion challenges, expand your design house, and make your mark in the world of fashion!

(Had to return it... Left handed players cant play!!)

(Two boys' review: All work and no play makes Spidey a dull superhero)

(A good game)

(Run, beat up thug, run, resuce, run, repeat.)

(Decent)
I got this game for my daughter because she LOVES spiderman!!!! I mean, its seriously an obsession!!! She and my husband both sat down to play it one night... it was IMPOSSIBLE for my husband to play because he's left handed!! The game does not allow you to change things around. You need the stylus and the buttons to play and this made it absolutely impossible for him!! My daughter was upset because it was very difficult for her. Being the huge spiderman fan she was, she politely asked if she could get another game. This said a lot!!! She's the type of kid who would suffer thru a bad game just to watch spiderman! HAHAHA So after 3 days of owning it... back to the store it went!! Fortunately my video game store has a 1 week game grace period. if you dont like it... bring it back!!
This is the first Nintendo DS superhero video game that I've sold off. My kids were really excited to try Spider-Man 3 (having played the GBA games before). After the first day, my kids won't pick this game up anymore.

Why?

Well, the combination of button controls and stylus web swinging is just too much for their little hands. They are overwhelmed by the controls. I've read a bunch of reviews that like the use of the stylus but even those reviews admit that you get mixed results (your intended move doesn't always translate on screen).

Meanwhile, my kids were underwhelmed by the gameplay. You'd think New York City is populated by 98% felons. Spider-man doesn't meet anyone who he doesn't have to punch, kick or throw around. Quickly, this becomes work instead of play.

My kids prefer Spider-Man: Friend or Foe and frequently play together (Check out my Amazon review: I bought an extra copy so they could play together.)

Much was made about the Tobey Maguire voiceovers but they didn't lend enough to this game to add another star. My kids liked the Iron Man voiceovers better.

Now that the Spider-Man 3 movie release is a year old, I can't imagine most kids would be intested in this title. I hope new superhero games are released on the Nintendo DS, just not games as much work as this.

I am writing this on behalf of my 9 year old son. He says this game is fun, not too easy and a little challenging which he likes. Definitely recommend
The best thing about this game is the control scheme. Spider-man jumps and climbs and swings like a pro. It's a lot of fun to use the stylus to manipulate the web slinging, and it is very intuitive, so fighting thugs is fun and can be done in a number of ways.

The graphics are pretty good. I was impressed. It's a 2D game in a 3D world, and it feels natural to navigate through the city by web slinging.

The sound is kinda campy, but the voice acting from Toby McGuire is spot on. It's snarky and Spidy says oddball stuff at the right moments in the gameplay.

The only really complaint about Spider-man 3 is the repetitiveness. It's run, fight, run, fight, run, rescue, run, fight. On to the next level: run, fight, run, fight, rescue, run, fight. There are just over 20 chapters in the story, all consisting of a combination of run, rescue, and fight. It was like playing all of those CAPCOM games from the early nineties like "Final Fight".

There's also a gameplay mode called the "race", which consist of webslinging across the neighborhood looking for floating orbs (no reason is given for why Spidy is looking for orbs). There is a 5 second (yes, second) counter that starts and Spidy has to reach the first orb. The counter resets, and Spidy has to reach the next orb. There are usually 20 orbs in a neighborhood, and if you miss one, you start the whole thing over. Missing an orb is easy, and since you are given only 5 seconds to find it, you could restart the same level many times. I know this game mode was thrown in to offset the "Beat 'em up" theme of the rest of the game, but couldn't they think of something more original?

This is a solid game, just don't expect anything elaborate for a DS game. The story mode is short, but the use of the stylus in combat is cool. It is an enjoyable game.
In Spider-Man 3 you'll get to enjoy being New York's favorite superhero, Spider-Man. For the first time ever, you'll also get to become his darker, more mysterious black-suited persona. Explore a larger, more dynamic New York City and experience multiple movie-based and original storylines. Choose your own gameplay in fully integrated city missions and performance rewards including improved speed, combat maneuvers and agility. Use completely revamped combat abilities as they protect the city and defeat nemeses using expanded aerial fighting, finishing moves and dynamic webbing during missions and epic boss battles.

(Fun but easy to make mistake because of small screen)

(Definately Worth It!!!!)

(Technical Issues Make Baking a Real Drag...)

(Cakemania 2)

(A huge improvement over the original!)
I love the Cake Mania games on the PC so I was excited to find it for the DS. This way my Husband can play his games on the PC while I play on the DS. It is just as much fun on the DS, however, the touch screen is so small that often, when you think you are touching on kind of cake or frosting, you touch the one next to it and that can mess up your whole level.
I bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter, and she has been playing it non-stop! I ordered it on-line and received it within 3 days, during the busy Christmas season.
I loved the Diner Dash game on the DS and a friend suggested picking up Cake Mania. I saw this sequel and got it instead.

And was terribly disappointed.

The basis of the game is arcade-like and quite fun. Customers tell you what they want and you have to recreate your cake confections before they get irritated with waiting and walk off. You can keep them entertained with a tv or a cookie to help the waiting. Their orders range from simple cakes to ones that have double layers, different shapes and cake toppers. Some have said the game is too slow, but you have the option of buying shoes that will speed up your baker. These can be upgraded more than once until you are almost TOO fast.

The sound effects are simple and quite annoying. The wacky kids with the inflatable pool duck toys are the worst with their canned "Hey its my turn!" Everything else is pretty much easy to ignore, but add little to the game itself.

HOWEVER, Cake Mania 2 has one really crippling problem. This was originally a PC game and the real estate of the DS screen is nothing compared to what you can get out of a computer monitor. Instead of doing a back/forth switch screen like Diner Dash does to get over this hurdle, the game tries to shove everything on one screen. AND FAILS. TERRIBLY. Everything requires absolute precision and the touchscreen seems to be a little off as well. The places to trigger the correct cake shape and frosting colors are tiny so you have to stab the stylus like it was a needle in the exact spot. Also, the customers request their orders in a "picture bubble" and when it gets to double layer cakes with toppings its often hard to tell exactly what they are asking for. The sprites are so tiny that a round cake with red frosting can look like a heart shape cake with red frosting and vice versa. Especially when there's a bear or cat topping on the top of it all to obscure even more of the cake you are supposed to be baking up.

Overall, the game is quite alot of fun, although extremely easy. The only thing that makes it difficult is the touchscreen issues. The developers must have been aware of this hurdle because it seems to be reflected in the game's difficulty.

Ah and its not that much different from Cake Mania 1 either, which is a superior product in many ways. It's a shame that this second effort couldn't keep up the fun of the first, it just simply doesn't add enough to spice things up and the frustrating controls suck alot of enjoyment out of it.

I bought this game this week and the first time I picked it up I played for over 3 hours,it is sooooo addicting.
It's a lil repetative but it progresses so fast that it becomes so challenging.I had the PC version and loved it so I figured It would be great to have something portable.
It has 250 levels and I stopped at 16, not cuz I was bored, just because I would have played all night.
You bake I think 6 different shapes of cake with about 6+kinds of frosting, you erve the customers and get tips with a goal you have to reach as in money to move on to the next level.
Some of the cakes become complicated as you nay have a heart cake with red frosting and then you have to gake a round cake with choclate frosting to earn your tips.
There are so may upgrades from frosters, cake toppers,to better ovens,a TV to entertain the customers,a cookie oven(I think),but you really have to decide if you want to buy a cake topper or a better oven which has 4 stles going up yo "The Fourth Element",this makes the game or breaks the game depending on what you buy and how you set up your bakery makes a great dealo in your outcome.
Ther are 2 modes 1 is helping Uncle Jack bake in his "Sea World" type environment to helping this lady whos in the City.Either way,you get to do both worlds.
I really want to get Cakemania 1 but I'm wondering if it even comes slose to this one,That being said I can't wait to see a cakemania 3 come out or even a game like Diner Dash Flo on The Go game.Nopefullt one comes out soon.

I'm 31 and am in love with my Nintendo DS. I tried out the original Cake Mania on loan from the library and really liked it with a few notable issues, mainly the screen shift when moving about the kitchen.

On a whim I ordered Cake Mania 2 and dove into once it arrived. Not only have they fixed the screen shift problem -- they made this game so much better!

Now there are more levels to play and more TV channels to flip through. I like that it's a little more sophisticated yet stuck with the basic formula: bake, frost, top, serve, get paid.

My only complaint so far is the Endless Game mode. The step-up options/awards are only available every 3 rounds, which is a long time to have to poke around before you can buy faster shoes or a better froster.

All in all, I find this game challenging but also a lot of fun. The character's dialog can get a little boring, but at least you can skip past it.

If you like Diner Dash (as I do), try Cake Mania 2.

If you love cakes, you can make perfect cakes in Cake Mania 2. After spending most of 2006 working to re-open the Evans Bakery, sending her grandparents on an exotic Hawaiian cruise, and taking a much-needed break herself, Jill is taking her long-awaited, triumphant return in an all-new, out-of-this-world adventure. Help Jill's college friend Risha in her posh, northwestern, rooftop bakery; rescue her old flame, Jack, in his underwater theme park located on the ocean floor, or wind up in 4 other far-flung bakery locations, each with its own unique layout. Introducing new features such as a branching, non-linear storyline, 204 levels of cake-baking nirvana and 6 different possible endings, it's up to you to help Jill decide which path to take. What awaits Jill? Fame? Fortune? Love?

(Bad Prodcut)

(Don't buy this peice of junk)

(HUH? WHAT IS THIS? NOT WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!!!!)

(DS REVIEW)

(Nintendo DS Used)
The system had to many straches on the device where it made you mad that you didn't want to play it. Like it's been dropped hunderds of times.
Ok first of all i've never owned a ds, I'VE OWNED TWO OF THEM! AND THEY BOTH BROKE!!!!!!! The Ds is badly designed and is prone to break in a year. My dad told me that because there's a little hinge and a big hinge the little hinge takes all the weight, so every time you open it it becomes closer to breaking. This is a peice of junk and it should not be purchased! Take my advice and buy the Ds lite, my sister has had one for about 3 years and it's not even close to breaking. The Ds lite has a brighter light and it's easier to carry around.
Wow Nintendo, this was not what I was hoping for. The PSP is SOOOOOOO much better than this piece of junk.
pros: Mic.|Touch Screen|2 screens|pictochat|
cons: Horrible games|bad graphics|dark screen (you can't see it in the sun!)|Thick|not worth the price|
Can you make a better one than the DSL? Can Nintendo bring the DSI to the US? I hope than I would take all I said back. I have a Wii to and it has bad graphics. Dude, guys. If you want a good game console than get a XBOX360 or a PS3 or a PSP.

HAS IT'S OWN LIGHT INSTEAD OF LIKE OLDER SYSTEMS. GREAT PICTURE AND IS ABLE TO PLAY THE OLDER GAMES PLUS THE NEW ONES. A MUST HAVE OF THE GAMERS OUT THERE.
Very happy with the used DS. It is working great and came in very good condition. It also came promplty in time for Christmas! Hooray!
The Nintendo DS is a complete portable entertainment and Communications unit. With it, you can see the game action from two perspectives at once. Two screens offer TouchScreen control for a groundbreaking control style that sets it apart from other systems. Access items, move characters or navigate menus by touching a stylus to a screen. The built-in voice recognition lets you command your game by voice, while the wireless options let you send text messages, drawings and IMs. This combination of new gaming features and portable communications will shock and impress you.Comes with Rechargeable Battery Pack, AC Adapter, Stylus, Screen Cover and Wrist Strap.Create a local wireless Network with up 16 players, with a 30-foot range 1GB of built-in Memory for faster gaming and shorter load times Dual slots support both GBA and DS games

(A Fun Game)

(Themepark is better!)

(blah)
I ordered this game a couple weeks ago and have been playing it a lot. It's fun to play, but is basically the same as Sim City for the PC. The graphics are good when it comes to DS graphics. Gameplay is pretty easy, but a little slow sometimes. The only things I don't like about this game are the repetitive citizen requests. They get kind of annoying, but they give you the option to see them or ignore them, so it isn't too bad. Also, my power plants constantly explode long before their estimated lifespan is over. It says it's good for 60 years, but after 10 to 25, they explode and destroy all the buildings around them. Other than those two problems, the game is fun overall, and if you liked other SimCity games I would defiantly suggest this one.
Gave this to my 11 year old daughter just a couple days ago. She seems to like it. Easy to get started but detailed enough to be fun.
A fun and enjoyable game, I would have given it five stars except for one reason. You can only save one game at a time! I know that my kids would play it a little more often if it wasn't for that. Otherwise it's a lot of fun but could use a little improvement
I played Themepark before, and I love it very much. So, kind of disappointed about this game. Anyway, this is the game that I play while on bed, very relaxing.
I didn't think the game was much fun at all. In fact, I tried to return it the next day and ended up having to take a cheap trade-in on it because I wanted to get rid of it so badly. The back of the case made it sound exciting ("save your city from fire!" turned out to mean, "rebuild the city afterwards" etc) and i was really disappointed. I also had a lot of trouble figuring out how to do anything. I guess i was expecting it to be more like other games I'd played in the past, such as Sim Hospital and Sim Theme Park.
Sim City lets you create, build and run the most realistic city you can imagine. Build your own farming towns, bedroom communities, commercial centers and industry -- and manage it all in a way that keeps your citizens happy. You'll also create railways, ferries, plan out streets, you also get to use that transportation in a series of great new driving&transportation missions.

(Dsi Add-ons, All-in-One)
When it has came down to video games, Nintendo definitely has shown over the years that they not only have the determination to make crafty games, but the innovation to make unique systems like the Wii and the DS. That has also been shown with the latest addition to the DS family, the new Nintendo DSi. But for those who've bought the system, and can't find what they need to secure the system, this all-in-one package is definitely one for the books. This DSi Starter Kit definitely has everything you'd need for the DSi on the go. This starter kit contains the secure DSi Folio which you can carry and hold securely your DSi and your favoirte DS games like New Super Mario Brothers, 3 backup DSi stylus pens in case you need one, a convient car adapter for days you need to charge it up whenever you're on the go, and earbuds for simple and private listening of all your favorite games, without disturbing others. While you can find others that won't meet Nintendo's certification, those others aren't really worth the full dollar. I absolutely recommend the DSi Folio Starter Kit as a must for all your DSi gaming needs.

Popular mini folio design in leather like material comes with all the DSi trimmings in this top of the line kit. Meets the demanding needs of the core game player who wants it all.

(Blue Dragon Plus? More Like Blue Dragon Minus)
This was an excellent game and very engaging. I gave it to my son for his birthday and he played unril he won and then let me try the game. I would like to acuire more games that come in this type of detail.
Not owning a X-Box 360 has excluded me from enjoying the highly-acclaimed Blue Dragon. However, when I heard about Blue Dragon Plus, I figured I'd go ahead an pick it up since the original's supposed to be such a great, innovative game. Blue Dragon Plus has to be good, right? Right?!

Wrong! Sadly, after purchasing the game and playing it for a brief amount of time, I discovered Blue Dragon Plus could in no way measure to the original, regardless of never having played it. Instead of being innovative, Blue Dragon Plus attempts to mimic well-established game stylings while delivering real-time battle sequences...and fails. For battle to flow effectively, using the stylus is a must, but instead of being given well-programmed play controls, players are given a horrible "click and drag" navigation method. This headache is only compounded when attempting to command his/her troops in order to command a strategic battle. What should be fun and entertaining is tedious and obnoxious, and in a game packed with battle after battle, interest in the game is swiftly lost.

On the flip side, Blue Dragon Plus does sport some decent graphics for a game designed for the small screen, and the movie sequences look better than many seen on older console systems like the PSOne. The story, too, is fairly intriguing, at least for one unfamiliar with the overall plot of the Blue Dragon series. However, this does little to gloss over the poor structure and gameplay. My recommendation: don't bother buying this game. Chances are you'll wind up regretting it.

The DS sequel is set one year after the original Xbox 360 title and returns players to the story of Shu and his companions, who control powerful phantom shadows. In the DS title, they will have to deal with new enemies spawned from the devastation wrought in the first title. At first glance, you might mistakenly believe Blue Dragon Plus to be a strategy game in the style of Final Fantasy Tactics, with little hand-drawn heroes and monsters arranged on an isometric 3D stage. But once the fight begins, everything starts happening in real time and you must feverishly put together your plan of attack, because those enemies aren't waiting for your turn. You command your units around the field with quick but simple controls that rely totally on the touch screen. You tell your units where to go, who to fight, when to heal, and when to move to special areas on the map. It seems like your attention is constantly needed everywhere at once, but the game gives you some room for error by providing a high number of healing items. Also, as you progress through each map, the game occasionally pauses to let some part of the story play out. The game will feature a thirty-hour quest as well as the ability to control up to sixteen humans and Mecha Robos in real-time battles and shadow fights.

(Don't even go there!)
There is a video that explains how to disassemble the DS Lite on YOUTUBE.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRzTgfo2PsM&eurl=http://www.nds-central.com/
This video is pretty good on disassembly. However, reassembly is another story. Unless you REALLY know what you are doing, don't even attempt it, as you will probably be disappointed with the results. You must be careful not to touch the gold-plated connectors with your fingers, because contact corrosion from the salt in your fingertips will eventually occur. You should wear a ground-strap to prevent electrostatic discharge, otherwise damage to the very sensitive electronic components may occur (especially in the Winter). The black display snap connectors are EXTREMELY delicate, and while it is pretty easy to release the connectors with your fingernails, it can be a challenge to put them tightly back in again. If you twist the video cable too tightly when feeding it through the sleeve that joins the upper and lower screen, you will most likely damage it at the micro level and your display will show you this after you have finished reassembly. I can go on and on, but at the end of the day, unless you are REALLY good with micro parts, have a clean, well-lit work space, all of the right tools, and a great deal of patience, the unit will most likely never boot up perfectly again. I know, and have a pile of parts to prove it.
It is better to let someone who has had extensive experience in disassembly and reassembly with the DS Lite change out your screens and cases. Your call, however. This is probably why Nintendo discourages home repairs.

Has your DS LITE's top screen been damaged or scratched? Dont go out and buy a new console, replace the screen!!! This is the Nintendo DS lite top screen for an unbeatable price. Order your full replacement screen and fix your DS Lite today!!! ** This is the TOP screen on the Nintendo DS LITE system.
