(Excellent product in spite of...)
(+ / -)
(Nintendo DS Lite Protective Filter Excellent Product!)
(good) It can be a pain in the neck to apply. At first I tried the bottom screen, i lined up the screen on one side and just kind of lay it on top, thinking that i can just push out the bubbles with a card or something. big mistake, some bubbles are too small can can't be pushed out, and while scraping to get them out, i scratched the protector and left a big line on it.
Good thing this is reusable. I took it off, wiped the screen, and washed the protector with soap and rinsed it clean. Drying the protector is another challenge, becasue no matter what you use to wipe it dry, it will pick up dirt, lint, etc. I ended up re-applying and re-washing it at least 5 times before giving up on wipeing it dry. the best way to dry it after washing is perhaps to use a hair dryer, or just shake off the water first, and then rest it at an angle against a drawer wall (sticky side down so no dirt fall on top of it) and let it dry overnight like I did.
The trick that finally worked for me is to line the protector on one side, then slowly lower the protector, use a finger to push the protector onto the screen, slowly, push from inside out so no bubble forms. If there's a bubble, pull the protector back just enough so the bubble goes away, and reapply. Very good protector, works very well. The only bad thing is is putting the protector on the DS, if you try to get it on perfectly it can be very tedious. So, I'm under the impression that I got the best protectors for my DS.
The tape trick of sticking tape on the corner to lift it up did not work for the touch screen protector. I ended up taking a piece of the plastic I peeled the screen protector off of and folding it so that I could use it as a tool to get underneath the not-so-perfectly aligned protector and lift it off so that I might get a second attempt at applying it correctly. The whole process took me something like an hour. Maybe two. I don't quite remember. I was then rewarded with a nifty slick feeling on the DS screen, and I was granted the ability to press slightly harder than I would have without the protectors. Unfortunately, when looking at the protector with the DS off, there is a strange rainbow pattern (almost oil-like) discoloration.
A few days ago, I suppose something got underneath my stylus... I'm not really sure, but I scratched the bottom protector. Now I don't have that smooth gliding sensation. It's more rough as I attempt to compensate for the rips in the protector. I'm not sure if the screen would have been damaged if I had no protectors, or if nothing would have come of it and I wouldn't be playing games through rips and tears now.
I'm still not quite sure if it was worth the time it took to put them on. They're very inexpensive though, so that was no big deal. I don't really regret it, but I still can't say these are essential. But then again- I have yet to ruin my DS, so that's a good thing. I absolutely love this protective filter I bought it a few day's ago on amazon and it just came today in the mail and it is astounding absolutely perfect for my Crimson and Black Nintendo DS Lite now I'm so much more at ease with out having to worry about the two screen's because one is a touch screen and the other is a regular screen see the guy who I bought this product from sent me two protective filter screen's one for each screen so I put one on each screen and absolulety love it and my dad love's it too because we have Mario Pinball Land - GBA game and my dad play's that game constantly on my Crimson and Black Nintendo DS Lite he say's the lighting is better on the system than his old Original GBA maybe for christmas I'll get him a Nintendo DS Lite so he stop's playing mine. But yeah get the Nintendo DS Lite Protective Filter it is truely an excellent Product! Buy this you'll thank your self later for it. good product but i don't good with how to stick it to nds lite. but the product quality is good. (Good practice for people who want to be a teacher) The object of this game is to teach a class subjects like math, science, history, reading, writing, and art. The class gets progessively bigger as you progress in the game. What I don't like about this game is that what you are teaching is way too easy. It is WAY too easy for an adult and even too easy for a young child. Also, it does not take very long to beat the game. I beat it in about three or four days. I can see why if you want to be a teacher this is good practice, but the game is too short and too easy. This game lets the player practice being a teacher. In this game your character teaches at a new school, in a new town. When you first start you only have four students but as you progress thoughout the game you get more students.
In this game you teach the students different subjects such as: arithmetic, geometry, reading, writing, drawing, biology, history, geography, music, and pottery. After some lessons such as arithmetic, geometry, reading, writing, biology, history, and geography it lets you practice correcting the students work.
This is a good game for anybody who wants to become a teacher, or is studying to become a teacher(like I am now) because I would like to become a teacher one day because I love kids. Imagine Teacher allows players to become a teacher at a brand new school. Teach your class a variety of subjects and increase your students' knowledge. Become a successful teacher, recruit new students and develop your school into one of the very best.
TheImagineline goes back to school Play as a rookie teacher who takes over a class in a newly built modern school. At the beginning your class only has a few kids because most of the kids in town are used to going to a school located in the next town over. It is your job to bring those students back to make your classroom and school the best place to learn. The game really begins when you meet some characters who don't want you to succeed. Key Features
- Increase your students' knowledge via fun mini games-Teach them writing, science (math&biology), culture (geography&history). Develop their artistic skills like music, drawing, and pottery. Celebrate events including birthdays and the end of the year party.
- Help your students find their true vocation
- Pay attention to your students' behaviors to manage their mood and create the best learning atmosphere-All kids have their own personalities and favorite subjects. Create a seating chart in the classroom to prevent them from chatting, being a distraction or fooling around.
- Create the school of your dreams-Buy or collect new items to upgrade your classroom and school
- Interact with many different characters-Not only do you take care of your students, but talk to their parents and school staff.
- Multiplayer-Connect up to 4 DS a single card allowing you and your friends to play mini-games.

(Worst Game I've Ever Bought) A Big Disappointment For Me
This game was a big disappointment to me. After pre-ordering it and waiting almost three months for it to arrive, I find it's got nothing much to interest me. I will try to describe the game so you can figure out whether it would suit you.
When you start up the game, orienting it in book fashion, you get Margot on the left screen while the touch screen pictures a sheet of note paper with "Save file loaded successfully." typed in tiny print. And I wonder: What file is being saved in this never before played game? Don't we usually play something before we have files to save? Don't really get that.
Next you tap on the check mark (Margot calls it a "tick". This is a British game. ) On the next screens you see M again, get some music and Margot greeting you with "Welcome to Margot's Word Game". Then the touch screen changes to the words "Word Brain" bracketed by left and right arrows, and at the bottom of the screen an "X" in a red circle (the X is referred to as a cross) and the check or tick in a green circle. Music continues. You can scroll left or right to select a game. They don't just give you a list of games and let you select. You have to scroll through the entire list to find the one you want. The names are all written in white letters on dark yellow tiles, one letter per tile. No variation in color. No pictures, other than Margot's head always on the left screen. The entire game is visually very dull with just these plain tiles of never varying colors. Well, ok, in some games there are some orange tiles for the letters you select.
The games are: Word Link, Word Mine, Hyper Text, Word Run, Word Safe, Word Search. Word Brain is a combination of all the games played in sequence. In each game you get 90 seconds to complete the task. This is very annoying to me. If I'm trying to find "as many words" as I can, I'd really rather have more time to do it.
After selecting a game you get a touch screen that tells you: "Touch the tick to play the game. Touch the cross to see a demo. Margot also tells you this information. As she speaks her words are scrolled across the bottom of the left screen. In tiny, tiny letters. The words you see are not synchronized with her speech. It's odd. Why they felt the need to fill up the screens with a bunch of nothing (Margot's head, a sheet of note paper) and give us the tiny letters to read, I have no idea. (I think maybe they had no ideas too.)
Game: Word Link -Not an original game Demo: The left screen changes to the note paper with the tiny scroll bar on which you can read Margot's instructions as she reads them aloud to you. Again the screen words and the spoken words are out of sync. This is a familiar game where you have columns of letters and you make words of three to six letters by touching adjacent letters in sequence. If you leave the sound on as you play, you get to hear "tick, tick, tick, tick, tick" until your 90 seconds are up. Then you get the results of your performance.
After playing a game you can get back to the game selection page by touching the start button.
Game: Word Mine --Not an original game Demo: Six jumbled letters appear at the top of the touch screen. You make as many three to six letter words as you can using the six letters-again in 90 seconds.
Game: Hyper Txt - this one was new to me, but then I don't send text messages and I struggle with phone numbers like: 1-800-PIZZA. In this game you "text message" touching the numbers in a phone keypad layout to type the words shown on the left screen. You have 90 seconds, but the game ends instantly if you make a mistake. And you cannot really text as fast as you want because after you tap the key you want (as many times as needed to get the correct letter) you have to wait for the next space at the top to be highlighted. If you get a new high score you get a keyboard layout on which to type your name in all capital letters.
Game: Word Run - Demo: You have a 6X6 grid and a keyboard. First Margot types a word, then you type a word that intersects her word at one letter. Then she adds a word. This process continues until one of you cannot add a word.
Game: Word Safe - Demo: Letters arranged in concentric circles. One letter in the center, 8 letters in the next circle and 16 letters in the outer circle. Select adjacent letters.
Game: Word Search - with a twist Demo: Margot gives you three words and about 3 or 4 seconds to memorize them. Then you get the letter grid. You identify the words by touching the beginning and ending letters of each word. Same ole 90 seconds of course. This is pretty easy, provided you can just remember the words you need to find.
Game: Word Brain This is a sequence of all six games. Margot gives you the scores after each game.
Only words that are included in Margot's personal dictionary work in these games. And she doesn't seem to have a very complete vocabulary. After playing Word Link and Word Mine for about three or four minutes I discovered that she doesn't know: wad, ray, gay, or deal. I don't really consider them to be very unusual words. On the other hand many of the words Margot uses seem rather unusual to me, for example: dachas, kipped, kummel, dowses, align, eerier, plough, inarch, voiles, xenias. Some of this is due to the use of British terminology. But at any rate, when you have only 90 seconds to play having perfectly normal words rejected is a little annoying.
Overall there is very little that is new on this game. There are no interesting visual anythings included. Margot does read the directions to you out loud, in cases you cannot read. (In which case can you really play word games?) Some games could really use this feature. I don't think this is one of them. There are no options to do much of anything else, or any quick ways to get around. When you finish a game that lasts all of 90 seconds, you have to fiddle around getting through the scoring pages, etc to get to the next game. If you want to play rather than admire a list of scores this is very boring. There is no left-handed option on this game.
My real disappointment was that for some unknown reason I was actually expecting this game to be about words and their meanings. It must have been something about "will test your word knowledge....and vocabulary". I have learned more about words by visiting freerice.com , which I learned of through someone else's review of something. Whoever you are out there: Thanks!
I wasn't expecting to be blown away by this game, but since I love puzzle, word, and logic games I thought it might be a bit of fun. It is NOT! This game is so poorly made, there is nothing to it. There are six tiny games that are all so similar that there might as well be just one. The games are about a minute and a half long each and boring. Nothing imaginative and fun. The game is not user-friendly either. The boxes to click on are so tiny that the stylus doesn't pick up the correct letters and you end up spending the whole minute and half of the game trying to correct input errors. Even when I paid close attention to specifically touching a certain letter with the stylus, the game would recognize a letter a half inch away. It is very aggravating. After each game there is the most corny, annoying song that plays. I cannot imagine that the creators of this game would think anyone would want to hear that horrible little jingle over and over and over ad nauseum. I buy a lot of games for the DS and have enjoyed them. There is absolutely nothing fun about this game. [...] Meet Margot, the new videogame queen of word play. Margot has devised a set of six fiendish and compelling word-based puzzles to test your vocabulary, spelling and general language skills. No two games will ever be the same as you wrack your brain against the clock to create words from randomly-generated letters in order to score maximum points.

(Dura Case for Nintendo DS) Great product to keep Nintendo ds Lite safe and it safely stores your game cartridges! Love it! It does not match exactly the pink color of my DS but it protects it really well. You can store 6 games and an extra stylus, It's hard, simple and good quality. Lo recomiendo Overall I'm very pleased with this product. Its cute and compact. I can carry it in my purse. However, you should note that the customer image provided is not a picture of this case. The customer image shows a view of the front of a case with Princess Peach on it. Apparently this is not the same product. This case is just pink, and it says "intec" on the front. I have no idea why that other picture is there and I don't know where you can buy this other case. A little disappointed that it didn't match the image but still a good product. I really like this case as it keeps my DS safe and I can't lose it The product was shipped quickly within the same week and was exactly what I expected. The quality was good and my daughter likes it. However the case has a small button that opens it which can be difficult at times. Her 8 yr old fingers are small so she occasionally has to ask me to open it for her. (I love this game!)
(Fantastic)
(Crosswords)
(I am up and down about CROSSWORDS) I bought Crosswords, obviously for the crosswords, but I absolutely love the Anagrams. I'm not a word search fan at all, even though I love how easy it is to just trace your stylus over the words you've searched out. The crosswords is so small it is hard to keep scrolling back and forth to find the rest of the words, but I am so hooked on the anagrams. I would love for them to add some extra long words, more than 7 letters. But i pick it up EVERY night, and it travels with me to Dr appts, road trips, waiting to pick up children from school, at the DMV. It is so easy to save a game and pick right up where you left off. Would love to see them come out with JUST an anagram game. Also, I am over 60.
As someone who doesn't usually enjoy crosswords, I love this game. the puzzles start out relatively easy and let you work up to the harder levels. I actually got this game for the word jumble, but I don't even play that game that much because you have to guess EVERY single word that can be spelled from the letters given. I think I have only finished one! Even though I don't play the work jumble that much or the word search, they are still good games. I love this DS game. I am an old lady who uses her DS to keep myself mentally stimulated. I take care of my disabled husband and enjoy the fact that I can play the game for a while and save it if I get interrupted. I love Crossword puzzles but I find myself playing the word search and anagrams just as much if not more. I see where someone said this was a game for children......I guess I am going through my second childhood then. I love it! I am an avid crossword puzzle solver but I play word search and anagram more than the crosswords. It's a wonderful game and I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. I like this DS Program. However there are a few drawbacks.
There are plenty of crosswords, word searches and anagrams...but when writting the letters, sometimes an N is mistaken for an H..or a G for a Q. If that is the only problem I ever have, it would not stop my enjoyment of this program..and It hasn't. I just hate erasing a letter when I wrote the letter in correctly the first time.
So why only Four stars instead of five, This crossword is a DS game, but not really a fast fingered video game. I hate hidden levels on any game. There are levels hidden in this CROSSWORDS program and it annoys me. I enjoy that i can do crosswords, but wonder in a newer version if they allow me to skip to a harder level instead of easy and medium and work my way to harder more taxing puzzles. Also after you done a number of these medium and easy puzzles, the clues repeat themselves too many times.
This DS program is great for children and adults alike. If you haven't used your mind lately (I use Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day! for my daily brain trainning), this program is a godsend.

(I<3 PiKaChu !! (o ^ T ^ o))
(Incredibly Boring)
(A Seven Year Old Boy's Opinion)
(Great game!!!) My 7 year old son is new to the world of gaming and the DS--we got this game along with Mario Kart, and he quickly dismissed this Pokemon game and went with the Kart 100%. I think the depth of the game, and the amount of reading required is a bit much for younger kids to enjoy, but we will revisit in about a year or so. My recommendation-- 7+ years old, and the player has to have attention span and ability to deal with the frustration of not being able to get out of a dungeon, etc. This game is a totally *NEW* experience in the Pokemon game series cuz unlike before you were playing as a Pokemon trainer ... Here you are an actual Pokemon !! In the beginning there's a short Aura questionnaire to find out what your Aura color and Pokemon is based on your answers. It's kinda creepy cuz the results of the Questionnaire is very accurate to Real Life. Mine observed that I'm a very relaxed/laid back person and my Aura color was a Calming Blue. Blue is my favorite color and I am a calm person and the pokemon I'm related to his a Meowth. Which I was hoping for something different but you can always take the questionnaire over til you get a character you wish to be. After you get to choose your partner to travel with and I chose PiKaChu cuz he's been my favorite since day one of the Pokemon series. But overall this game has excellent graphixs similar to that of Legend of Zelda and it's alot of FUN !! I like the added feature of Friends Code so you can exchange emails and add your friends so if you play in WiFi mode you can communicate. I suggest even though the price is a little high it's a well worth game to buy. Pros:
+A Surprisingly Interesting Story +Very Colorful +Tons of Missions
Cons:
-Bland Dungeon Designs -Repetitive Gameplay -Very Stale and Boring Gameplay -Far too easy -Not too big on the graphics -A Very slow story
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team (Or Red, depending on which version you had) was not exactly a great game. While it sold very well, it wasn't even close to touching the surface of what other traditional Pokemon games have done. Blue and Red Rescue Team weren't that exciting, they had boring gameplay, were incredibly repetitive and just all around bland. Sadly, Chunsoft didn't really do a whole lot to improve a severely flawed game. In fact, it suffers from many of the same problems as the other Mystery Dungeon games.
Just like the previous one, you are a human that one day wakes up as a Pokemon. You get a partner based off the questions you answer at the beginning. Same basic principle as the first. Then you'll go on missions where you will hunt down outlaw Pokemon or rescue other Pokemon. It's simplistic stuff. The story actually isn't so bad. It's a very slow story, but for Pokemon you're actually getting something good. You won't see a trainer throughout the game. At all. This is all about the Pokemon.
On the other hand, the story and flow of gameplay is repetitive. Seeing the same cutscene before and after each mission over and over and over again gets very annoying when you just want to jump into your next mission. However, it's easily the gameplay that's the worst part of the game.
Just like the Rescue Team games, the gameplay is incredibly stale and boring. You go into a dungeon and explore floors that are randomly generated until you get to your objective. The floors are all very bland and boring. The biggest problem with the random generated floors is when you enter the next area and you're right next to the exit. It happens from time to time. Then again, most of it you'll want to get through quickly, anyway. The environments are so bland and devoid of details that one floor doesn't feel any different from another. It's like walking through an endless dungeon. They have their own themes, but no real design.
The combat is worse. When you approach a Pokemon, you'll engage them. There are no random battles, but that doesn't mean it'll play like an Action RPG. At first glance, combat really doesn't seem all that bad until you realize there's no strategy involved whatsoever. What makes the traditional games addictive, other than catching them all, is the surprising amount of depth that goes into each battle. This is exactly what the Mystery Dungeon series lacks. It quickly becomes a button mashing affair with no real thought or strategy. The game is also unbelievably easy. Even boss battles are an easy, button mashing affair to see who can get in the most attacks. Even though you're given a set of moves you can use, and there's a little bit of strategy here, you'll find that you never actually need it. There's hardly an incentive to pick moves over another. You'll go exploring with a party of four, and you can control their moves as well, but mostly, you'll find you need just one Pokemon to get much of the job done. Combat is just boring.
Much like the previous one, you can get wild Pokemon to join your rescue team. You can only have four in your party at a time, however, but nonetheless you can still get them to join.
What would a Pokemon game be without two versions? With this duo you have Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness. Much like all the duo's, the games don't have that many differences, but you'll need both to uncover and unlock everything. This means you'll either have to buy the other version or convince a friend to do so. Should the worst ever happen and you actually get taken down in a dungeon, you can send out a distress signal in hopes that a friend will come by and rescue you. Unfortunately, you're probably better off accepting your fate.
Pokemon has never been a game to push graphics and sound. Mystery Dungeon is no exception. It's a very colorful game, but hardly takes the DS to the standards it can accomplish. Much of it looks like it belongs on the Gameboy Advance rather than the DS. And with the boring design of the dungeons, there's really nothing here to look forward to in terms of graphics. As I said, however, Pokemon has never been a graphical powerhouse. It doesn't really sound great either. Much of the music is forgettable.
If you enjoyed Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team or Red Rescue Team, then chances are you'll like this one as well. It's essentially the same game. So if you did like Blue and Red Rescue Team, then you can very much disregard this review. If Blue and Red Rescue didn't do much for you, don't expect the latest release to turn you into a fan. I think this game is great because you can make friends and you go on lots of missions. Later in the game you will find a treasure and battle legendaries. Some places like Beach Cave and Drenched Bluff are a little weak. Other places are harder. This game is really fun according to my 8 year old son. Some of the dungeons are a little hard, such as Concealed Ruins, but the tasks are interesting and the music/storylines are great. The game is not too long or too short and it isn't too hard either. The scenery is very good. Overall, we recommend this game. You've been washed ashore on a beach and there's a Pokemon beside you who needs your help to find treasure. You've been transformed into a Pokemon. Your form is determined by a Pokemon personality test in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers Of Darkness. Return to a fantastic land untouched by humans as you form a rescue team to solve the mystery of your transformation and find the lost treasure. Join hundreds of Pokemon in randomly-generated dungeons. Online compatibility enhances strategic exploration and battles. Explore long-lost dungeons or hunt down criminal Pokemon. The choice is yours in this open-ended game.
