(Good fun from Classic Shooter)

(In response to 1Ups Review)

(I don't wanna die!)

(I love these games !!!)

(Lots of fun)
This package includes HOD2&3 on one disc for the Wii. If you are unfamilair with the series, HOD is an arcade series which means that it will be short when compared to some other titles. However, the gameplay is quick and fun enough to warrant numerous replays on both titles. There are also many unlockables that can help keep interest going on this one.
This is a great game for us that have grown up loving blasting away in the arcade, seeing how far you can go until you run out of quarters. The port is perfect in my opinion. My only gripe is that they kept it so perfect to the point of keeping the terrible acting by what sounds like Japanese trying to mimic English. I do find it funny, but I think someone could have copied over the campy acting using English speaking actors.
I am writing this in response to the review given by 1Up.com. In the reivew Anthony has some complains about not having a gun packed in with the game. I actually find this a plus because it keeps the game cheap, ranging from 19.99 - 29.99 new and as low as 14.99 used, and gives the player the choice of gun type to use for the game. As you look at many of the reviews of guns for the Wii, they are all over the place. The Zapper is too bulky, the Perfect Shot is too heavy, the . . . whatever . . . doesn't let me shoot fast enough. I actually found the Wii remote to work very well in that it was light, and the small trigger let me get off numerous amount of shots in a short period of time. other players may have different preferences, and that is why it is great that we have choices. Thank you Sega for not forcing us to buy a gun that we feel to be inferior.
Second, Anthony was upset that you don't have infinite continues. In my opinion that just ruins the game. Absolutely no challange, and just makes things oh so boring. But if you really want infinite continues, don't sweat it, at least in House of the Dead 2. Play the orininal mode and you can collect the "Infinite Credits" item (I believe its at the end of the second to last level) and you can have your God Mode moment.
Overall this is a great game that is a lot of fun and won't consume your life in that it's short. It's two games for the price of half of one so it's definately worth it.

I don't often go to arcades anymore, but when I do, I can be counted to plunk a few quarters into whatever "House of the Dead" game they have so I can blast away at some zombies. It isn't the greatest game, but gives you lots of bang for your buck when you only have a little bit of time and a pocketful of change.

When I picked up my Nintendo Wii, this was the first game I got for it. I was looking for something I could play with my wife, and she always digs shooting zombies too so it was a no-brainer. A bargain price gets you two versions of "House of the Dead", both 2 and 3, as well as an unlockable "extreme" mode of 3 that gives you some new features like being able to block with your weapon.

Aside from the extreme mode, which is unfortunately only 1-player, "House of the Dead 2&3" is almost exactly like the arcade game. This is both good and bad. The good part is that you get exactly what you wanted; it is just as much fun blasting zombies from the comfort of your living room as it is in a danky arcade and best of all you don't have to keep shoving quarters in. As expected, the light gun works perfectly with the Wii. You don't need any attachments, although the Wii Zapper is recommended. I'm not a huge fan of the zapper, and like the Wii Perfect Shot Gun instead, but neither are necessary to have a great time playing.

The bad part is that it is exactly like the arcade game. You get a limited number of "credits", and there is no way to save your game or really advance at all. This means when you die, you have to start again from the beginning which gets boring fast. The zombie attacks are never random, and they always come from exactly the same place so it almost becomes like the old Super Mario Bros where you memorize a pattern and repeat it every time. There are a few game changing items, like "infinite credits", and a lot of useless ones like the various costumes that only change your appearance but don't affect game play, but on the whole it is all about repeating the same gestures over and over again until they become automatic enough to advance you through the levels.

This is not a game to be played over and over again. What I found out is that "House of the Dead" works best arcade style, where you play it for just a few minutes then walk away. The lack of advancing in the game and the constant returning to start gets frustrating, and limits any sort of long-term enjoyment. But at the price, if you are looking for something that you can just shut off your brain for and indulge in some mindless violence, then "House of the Dead 2&3" is just what you need.

Very fun co-op game. I'm waiting for House of the Dead 4 and Overkill for Wii :-)

if you are a zombie shooter lover and you want a pair fun games, with co-op support, terror, and a very good gameplay, just buy this pack. ;-)

I've played these games for a long time now but it's the first time the feel of the original arcade version can be reproduced on a console.
Fantastic. A must-buy for any one who's into horror themed on-rails shooters.

THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD is famous for its heart-pounding pace and the great visual detail of the vast armies of unique enemies. Blasting through legions of grotesque zombies and mutated monsters, players will face-off against colossal boss creatures that will test the accuracy and skill of every Wii gamer. It's what you and Wii have been waiting for.
Two grisly titles from the popular THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD series are being compiled into one action-packed horror shooter for the Wii. This title includes versions of The House of the Dead 2 and The House of the Dead 3 in one package. Players will be able to choose from six game modes, including the standard arcade and time attack options, and there will be single-player campaign and multiplayer modes for two players. Both versions (2&3) will feature the original arcade experience, complete with branching storylines, over six ghoul-filled game modes and bonus content. Re-live your glory days in the arcades and mow down packs of clawing, biting undead. Co-op gameplay - Grab a friend and destroy the undead together including Arcade mode and Original mode Gory arcade graphics - THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2&3 RETURN retains the rich arcade graphics you love

(Excellent game!)

(Great for cars lover!)

(CARS Wii game)

(Myself and my four year old grandson LOVE this game)

(Just a warning for grown-ups....)
My son is 3 and he plays this game all day long! Best gift i ever got him.
My son who is 3 years old, loves this movie. So when he saw the game he had to get it. It took him a few tries to get the hang of it, but overall he masters it pretty well. He does need help switching events, but loves the mini games like finding lizzie's postcards, tractor tipping&the story it tells during a break of events. It is also a game where a parent can play too! We love it here!!!

I purchased this for my 6 year old grandson and he loves it! He plays it every chance he gets. Very good value.
I bought this for my four year old grandson who loves racing games. It is NOT easy and because I don't play it alot I am not very good at it but he plays it three days a week when he is here and he does fantastic and loves it. It has several different races and bonus games and he spends a couple hours a day on the WII using it. He loves it and I do too. His thirteen year old brother has played it also and loves it although he is in school when I have the four year old so he doesn't get to use it as often. It is good for all ages which is really nice.
I tend to get (very) dizzy when my son (who is 6 yrs old) plays the racing games. Maybe bec of too much cruis'n and he plays the game on big screen hdtv. I always check my son if he gets dizzy and he tells me he doesn't. Maybe bec older people cannot endure high speed motion :-)
In Cars, you'll get a chance to live out the thrills and fun of the new Disney/Pixar animated film! Play as all your favurite characters from the movie, as you help Lightning McQueen capture the coveted Piston Cup Championship.

(Great stand for the money, but no source for more clips.)

(Standerd mic stand. You get what you see)

(It is ok, but...)

(Several design flaws, but otherwise functional)
What you see is what you get...and that's all. The spring loaded microphone stand is decent and the microphone clip is very nice. I love the ability to hang your wireless controllers on the stand and even use one of the extra controller clips to hang my guitar (by the strap). I have one major complaint which keeps this product from rating five stars: nobody sells additional controller clips. You receive three clips, one for each major console system (xbox 360, PS3 and wii). If you're like me and only want one microphone stand, but would like to hang all your controllers on it, you're out of luck.

So if anyone here purchases this stand and doesn't have an xbox, I'd love to trade off my extra PS3/wii clips for your xbox clip. You can contact me at "gaines[at]kergosien[dot]net".

This is just what it said and is just what it gets. Ok, now for the bad. The shipping was on time but horrible. It came in a box three times its size and the box was opened, battered, and looked like it has been through nuclear fallout although, the actual product was intact and in its original packaging. The plastic things that hold the controllers are flimsy and break too easily. I managed to break my controller holders on day two of having this product. All in all, it is not a bad product, sturdy, metal, and a heck of a lot of fun to play with. Madcatz just need to iron out the little things.
The microphone stand is OK but for only one microphone. It comes with 3 clip holders but each one is for a different brand (Wii, PS3, Xbox). What if you would like to hold 2 PS3 controllers in the same stand? Sorry that is not possible. I wish you can choose or order the clip holders that you need.

Okay, so this is a microphone stand. Plain and simple. The clips to hold controller are very useful, and the clip actually holds some older video game USB microphones, unlike other mic stands. The stand is made of plastic with mostly plastic connnections, which means that you can't get the adjustable parts as tight as you'd like. The main adjuster requires two hands on the lower part of the stand to tighten adequately, so if you go the wrong way, the mic will slide down and you'll have to reposition. If you want to hold the mic while you sing on the stand, it may slide down even when fully tightened. Also, the screw on the mic clip is loose, so expect to tighten it before you play with a Phillips head screwdriver. The clip is removable, so you could put it on a real mic stand if this one ever breaks. The major design flaw is that the controller clip for Xbox 360 does not let you hook up a plug and play charger to it while it's clipped on. So while I'd have loved to use this time to charge my batteries, I can't.

To sum it up: It's a cheap plastic stand with tightening issues, a great clip design for holding the microphone, and a controller clip that won't let you charge an Xbox 360 controller. If you can live with the above-stated problems, then you should be fine. I am satisfied, considering.

Quick insert/release microphone clip, Includes controller clips for Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 and PS2 controllers, Durable aluminum construction, Height-adjustable from 38-53 in. (97-135 cm), Microphone cable clip prevents tangles, Wide-stance tripod base maintains stability

(Kids like it)

(who doesn't love Aerosmith)

(guitar fun)

(Older Aerosmith fans should be pleased... others perhaps sitting on the fence about this game)

(Beware the fine print)
My kids (ages 16, 12) like this game, they were getting tired of the 1st guitar hero. They like the music on this one.
This is just a great addition to our guitar hero 3! It has all the best Aerosmith and more! My girls love it!!!
my daughter plays this game a lot in conjunction with the guitar from the guitar hero with guitar
THE GAME: Overall a decent game. If you're a big fan of Aerosmith, then you'll more than likely give this 'Guitar Hero' edition the thumbs up. I've been listening to the band since Steven Tyler and Joe Perry were scooping ice cream in New Hampshire... so this game immediately appealed to me. If you're only a moderate fan of the band (young or old), proceed to the check-out line with caution. If you're a fan of Aerosmith's newer material (90's and beyond), also beware... because a vast majority of the songs featured here are from the 70's and 80's. If that's the case, I would suggest renting the game first.

THE SONGS: Not all the tracks here are by Aerosmith. The other songs featured do have meaning though (once toured with, friends of the band, etc). There are six sections/stages containing 31 songs. Bonus tracks - "The Vault" - gives you another 11 tracks - totaling 42 total songs on "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith". The songs (in order) - 1st set: Dream Police (Cheap Trick), All The Young Dudes (Mott The Hoople - Cover), Make It, Uncle Salty, Draw The Line. 2nd set: I Hate Myself For Loving You" (Joan Jett&The Blackhearts), All Day And All Of The Night (The Kinks - Cover), No Surprize, Movin' Out, Sweet Emotion. 3rd set: Complete Control (The Clash), Personality Crisis (New York Dolls - Cover), Livin' On The Edge, Rag Doll, Love In An Elevator. 4th set: She Sells Sanctuary (The Cult), King Of Rock (Run DMC), Nobody's Fault, Bright Light Fright, Walk This Way (with Run DMC). 5th set: Hard To Handle (Black Crowes - Cover), Always On The Run (Lenny Kravitz), Back In The Saddle, Beyond Beautiful, Dream On. 6th Set: Cat Scratch Fever (Ted Nugent), Sex Type Thing (Stone Temple Pilots), Mama Kin, Toys In The Attic, and Train Kept A Rollin'. The Vault: Walk This Way, Rats In The Cellar, Kings And Queens, Combination, Let The Music Do The Talking, Shakin' My Cage (Joe Perry Project), Pink, Talk Talkin' (Joe Perry Project), Mercy (Joe Perry Project), Pandora's Box, and Joe Perry's Guitar Battle. Aerosmith decided to remake 4 of the tracks here in 2007 - Mama Kin, Make It, Dream On, and Movin' Out. Dare I say... I like the original versions better. Where most of the tunage here is ideal for the Aerosmith fan, those not rabid about the band will surely say it's lacking in the variety department.

THE GOOD AND THE BAD: The song selection is good, not great. I was originally thinking there were a ton of songs that should've been here. Looking over their catalog though - only a handful deserved to be here that aren't (Last Child, Sick As A Dog, Adam's Apple, Dude Looks Like A Lady, Lightning Strikes, Just Push Play, Deuces Are Wild, Eat The Rich, Amazing, and anything from "Pump". Various cuss words and all references to drugs are edited out. The number of tracks is a disappointment - "Guitar Hero 3" has 67 total tracks, so I feel slightly gypped that this Aerosmith version has only 42 total tracks. Joe Perry's solo material is terrible. I could understand one track, but three (not to mention Bright Light Fright)? The animation is good, not great. The figures still look robotic. The mouths/lips are still somewhat off when singing. Steven Tyler looks pretty accurate as do his moves/actions and various clothing changes. Joe Perry looks decent with the exception of his huge nose. Joey Kramer and Tom Hamilton look very good. I feel sorry for Brad Whitford's character... it doesn't look anything like him, and he always looks so sad and literally lost on stage. When you're playing Aerosmith songs, your character is not on stage... it's only Aerosmith members. When you are playing non-Aero tunes, the original cast from Guitar Hero is performing (along with your chosen character). Speaking of the same characters from GH... somehow I thought that the game designers here could really go balls-to-the-wall with new characters... but they didn't. Axel Steel, Casey Lynch, Izzy Sparks, Judy Nails, Midori, Lars Umlaut and Xavior are all back from previous GH games. Additional characters available for purchase include the familiar Lou, Elroy Budvis, Metalhead, and newcomers (Run) DMC, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford and Joe Perry. The number of guitars is truly incredible at 81 (and that doesn't include the various guitar finishes you can buy either). The Les Paul and Gibson models dominate. You can purchase 7 of Perry's custom guitars (though his double-neck that he breaks out for Uncle Salty is woefully absent), 4 from Whitford, and 5 of Hamilton's bass guitars. There are 7 documentary-style short videos in between sets/stages (live, not animated) featuring all band members - very cool indeed. Like other Guitar Hero games, there are Easy/Medium/Hard/Expert levels; and Career/Quick Play/Multiplayer/Training/Options&Set Up/WFC(Internet Connect). The game comes with a 12-page instruction booklet, as well as a 20-page "Tour Book" full of band photos and history. A good game for the Aero-fan (3.5 stars).

Compared to GH3, this game is a disappointment. On some tunes, it's too easy; on others it seems the synchronization between guitar and screen is poor. There is no co-op career mode. There are no "sponsors" when completing sets, so compared to GH3 you get little virtual pay.

I'm neutral about the tunes, there were only a few that seemed familiar.
The video rendering actually seemed better to me, but that didn't make up for the poorer game play. (If there's one lesson Activision should have learned from the Wii's success, it's that game play is more important than rendering quality.)

But, the deal killer was all the legal fine print. They say you're not allowed to use a non-Activision guitar controller. (Of course, other brands will work; Activision apparently just wants to sell more of theirs. Imagine how people would react if Microsoft only allowed you to use MS mice with the next version of Windows.)

After you open the package, and open the instruction booklet, surprise! There's a software license inside that claims you agreed to it because you opened the package.

There are statements telling you that you can't copy the software and you have no need for a backup, but the media is only warranted for 90 days. I decided they were right about the backup -- I don't need one because I don't need their products at all! So, I returned it for a refund.

(Good, solid throne!)

(RockBand Throne)

(Nice Product - Decent Price)

(Icon Drum Throne)
There's nothing super-dee-duper about this (hence kept to a 4-star rating), but it works great. No complaints for such a good price. I actually got a chance to try my buddy's throne after I got mine, and his was a bit more expensive, and I thought that his throne's butt-pad wasn't as comfortable as mine.
Just what i needed to play on the rockband drums. Feels better then sitting in a chair.
This feels very sterdy and cushion is sufficiant. I'm 210 and don't feel like it has a problem handling my weight. This should compliment any one's Rock Band or Guitar Hero World Tour sessions.
This is the only way to play!
I'm 230 pounds and it holds me comfortably.

(Lots of Fun!)

(Way too short)

(Crapola)

(Good replay.. Many alternate scenarios!)

(Simple shooting game - Loads of fun)
Really enjoyed the arcade game, and enjoy this one even more. It's true, the game is short -- just like the arcade game -- but with added complexity at higher levels, and new costumes, party mode, etc. If you're a gamer who spends hours a day on a console, this isn't the game for you. But if you're looking for a fun shooter game to play when you have some friends over, this is the perfect game. I think too many games nowadays take too much time to complete -- part of the video game generation, I guess -- so this game is perfect for me (and others who don't have hours and hours to dedicate to playing.) People who don't normally play video games can get into it too, especially with the Fantasy mode (water guns, shooting girls in bikinis) and Ninja mode (throwing stars). You unlock more costumes and guns as you move up in levels -- still trying to get the Panda costume. I never did get Zappers (didn't want to spend the extra $$$), and I find that I don't need them for this game. I love this game, and highly recommend it!
This game is rally fun for untill you beat the three levels in the game! They have basicly the same three levels but change it to nighttime instead of day to pass as another level. I'm talking the same enemies in the same places, same mission. In Japan this game comes with the zapper so it is meant to be a quick short cheap game, but th en they sold it sepratly in the US as a full priced game. Unless you like to waste money, do not get this game.
One of the worst shooters. If you dont have Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicals, get that.
I really have enjoyed this game. Usually an on rails shooter like this does not have much replay, But Sega did a great job of giving you plenty of reasons to keep revisiting the missions. Branching missions, improve your rank and times etc. Which causes the game to change the scenarios each time you play through it. Cool little things. Example: one time you may go through a room that is lit normally but next time you'll use smoke screen and have to used night vision to see through the smoke. Another time the enemies may mix it up and attack in different ways. Also you acquire many different types of weapons that will change the strategies you'll need to use. I also like that you can get in and out of this game for a quick bit of play when you don't have allot of time but ya need some action. It's great game for 2 players. You can set the options individually for each player to compensate for a younger or inexperienced player. I found I prefer the Nyko Perfect Shot to the Nintendo Zapper with this game.. It's just easier to aim with it. You can play with just the Wii Remote if you chose but it kinda diminishes the fun factor.
Other reviews give this game negative comments but we love it. We're not big gamers so we just wanted something simple to play that friends can play instantly when they come over. We tried the Looney Tunes shooting game, mistakenly assuming that would be simple but there were 2 remotes, 4 buttons, button combos, the joystick plus you could shake the remotes. It was too much. We just wanted something fun and easy. Ghost squad is that. All of our friends have also liked it (40ish women).
