(Why so many great reviews????)
『With the exception of the folks grousing about the price, the negative reviews on here are spot on.

Seriously, try this BEFORE you buy it. If you are COMPLETELY out of shape (can't do more than a minute of physical exercise without needing a break), this can be an excellent tool to get started. That's about the only good thing I can say about it.

My biggest gripe is with the machine's condescending attitude: harping about being overweight and obese, having perfect form, stopping exercises and going over foot patterns, etc. It's completely uncalled for. The programmers should learn a thing or two from the folks at weight watchers and actual exercise class instructor.

Thank goodness a friend who bought it (and loves it!) let me try it several times before my husband bought it for me. We will still get a wii -- loved the active life outdoor adventure games!

(Thumbs up, thumbs down)
『Pros:
* FUN workout! Time just flies as you play.
* You can keep switching it up to keep it from getting boring.
* Terrific for people with balance problems - daily results show improvement.
* Easy to see if you're on target for your goals.
* You can customize daily yoga/strength exercises that you do in a certain order every day.
* Terrific for those of us with knee injuries - you can do your entire work-out with no impact.

Cons:
* Balance board does not work well as a scale. I had bizarre fluctuations (+3 lbs in one day, +.5 lbs in first 15 min of workout, etc.) that were not the same results as my regular scale.
* Wii fit age function seems random. Having a Wii fit age of 32 one day and 68 the next with fairly similar scores makes no sense.
* Intervals in aerobic area are far too short. 2 min on average before you either replay a section or switch it up. I'd like more options - 5 min step, 5 min hula hoop, etc. And the option to program the game to go directly from basic step to hula hoop to advanced step to advanced hula hoop without stopping would be nice.
* Unless you are extremely obese, elderly, and/or out of shape, you will struggle to get an aerobic workout - very slow and easy. I am quite obese and 45 and the workouts are very easy for me.

Add a few bucks and get the Wii fit plus - not much more money and lots more to do.

So if you're just starting out a workout plan, Wii Fit can be a fun and engaging way to start. Just do your weigh-ins on a real scale and ignore the Wii results. And have fun!

(Fun exercises, but . . .)
『Although I enjoy using the Wii Fit, perhaps the most frustrating aspect is the short duration of most of the exercises, with lots of button pushing in between. Especially when you're first beginning and haven't unlocked some of the longer exercises, you can spend an hour and a half completing just 45 minutes of actual exercises. Supposedly, the Wii Fit Plus, if you already have Wii Fit or the Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board, if you need the board, solves this problem for yoga and strength exercises, not aerobics.

Because I was already somewhat in shape when I started, most of the exercises do not sufficiently sustain an elevated heart rate. The free run and step programs do better, but these must be unlocked by good scores in other areas. However, for those who are just embarking on an exercise program, I cannot imagine a better tool, especially since the trainer (you can choose male or female) and the tiny Wii voice encourage the user to continue. The games keep your attention, and even the runs provide moving scenery to keep things interesting. You'll probably find, as I did, that some games are tough to figure out right away, and so, once you realize how to score well, you'll improve, and there's nothing like beating your old record.

The Wii works in two main sections, body measurement/testing and training/exercises. The measurement keeps track of your weight, records your goals, calculates BMI, graphs progress, and gives balance tests to determine your Wii Fit "age." (Expect to peel off those first "years" by figuring out what the Wii wants.) If you don't want other people in your house knowing your weight, BMI, etc., you can lock your profile and measurements using a PIN code. The exercise section is broken down into yoga, aerobics, strength training, and balance games, with the Wii keeping track of your history.

The biggest advantage of Fit is the way it helps time pass quickly. Before you know it, you'll have logged in thirty minutes of exercise. Although people swear by the Fit for weight loss, you'll get quicker and more permanent results with diet changes as well. If you already have an exercise outlet or if the weather prevents you from following your usual sport, the Wii makes an excellent supplement.

-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann』

(Countless hours of fun and some fitness)
『This has provided many hours of fun and some fitness. After a few months it may get tired. However there is now a wii fit plus add on. If you have a wii, get the wii fit. You will not regret this purchase! Fun for everyone in the family.』

(great party flavour)
『no more need to talk to guests
just put on the wii and wii fit and they are too buisy to talk :D』

『The hit combination of Wii Sports and the Wii Remote brought golf swings and tennis serves into people's homes. Now Nintendo turns the living room into a fitness center for the whole family with Wii Fit and the Wii Balance Board. Family members will have fun getting a "core" workout, and talking about and comparing their results and progress on a new channel on the Wii Menu. Lean to block soccer balls, swivel hips to power hoop twirls or balance to hold the perfect yoga pose. As users stand on the Wii Balance Board, included with Wii Fit, their body's overall balance is tied to the game in a way they've never experienced before. Wii Fit also uses the Wii Balance Board for daily tests. These evaluate two key measures that a household can track via progress charts:』
『The active-play phenomenon started byWii Sportsnow spreads to your whole body thanks toWii Fitand the pressure-sensitive Wii Balance Board, which comes bundled with it. Used together players will experience an extensive array of fun, dynamic and surprisingly challenging activities, including aerobics, yoga, muscle stretches and balance oriented games. The focus of these activities is towards providing a "core" workout, a popular exercise method that emphasizes slower, controlled motions, but it's the fun approach to fitness ofWii Fitthat will keep players hooked on fitness for years to come.

(Calling all animal fans....)
『Bought this game for my 6 year old daughter. She does not like Wii competition games(Mario), and prefers more creative games (like Simms...). The animal behaviors are realistic-- The penguins slip and slide on the ice, tigers stalk each other, animals poo after eating. Unlike other games, there are no discos for penguins or kittens riding flying carpets. The animation is cute, though, and I keep hearing giggles and laughter from her while she is playing the game. It is easy to navigate (although she is a pretty good reader), and full of animal facts. Highly recommended as good, clean fun if you have an animal lover.』

(Captured Her Undivided Attention)
『The graphics surprisingly belong in a previous decade. They really could have done better.

That said, my daughter has really thrown herself into this program. She generally throws herself into her latest find (Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, Sonic), but this program has received a level of attention even higher than her usual level.

She loves it and would spend every waking hour creating her "humane zoo" if I let her. I can recommend this program.』

(Adorable animal game)
『I think this game is adorable, I love the cartoon style of the zoo animals. When you start the game you are able to pick any one of the animal families to begin with, and the others are able to be unlocked with the star coins you earn by caring for your animals' needs. The whole point of the game is to make the animals in your zoo happy by playing with them, keeping them clean, expanding their habitats with playsets, petting them, brushing them, and so forth. You win awards by interacting with your animals, such as feeding them 5 different kinds of food, or having them play with 5 different toys, or hand-feeding an animal. Awards give you star coins which can be used to purchase playsets, extra animals, or a new animal family. While not difficult, the game is challenging and requires time to earn enough star coins to unlock all the animals, but it is also fun to just watch your animals interact with the toys you throw to them. If an animal wants something it appears in a thought bubble over their head, and all you need to do is click the thought bubble and pull it out. This method means it is easy for any player to make their animals happy, and kids won't have to worry about what to feed the animals or what they would want to play with, all you have to do is pull the item out of the thought bubble. There's no money involved, so there's unlimited food and toys, nothing like having to know what kind of food your pandas eat and having to buy it, only to find out you can't afford it. No guesswork, just thought bubbles. There are also animal facts provided by National Geographic that appear on loading screens and can also be viewed when picking an animal for an exhibit. This would be an excellent game for kids and anyone interested in cute animals (cartoon style) who has always wanted to brush a panda bear or get a penguin to slide down a slide or watch a polar bear play with a bouncy ball. If you get bored of the animals offered, there's an animal creator that allows you to customize the animals. Similar to creating Miis, you are able to alter animals' face and ear shapes and sizes, as well as their colors and markings, or if you would rather your giraffe was purple and that your elephant was pink with polka dots, you can do that. I was pleasantly surprised by how much there was to do in this game, how much you can customize, and how much I enjoyed the cartoon art style. World of Zoo is simply fun, engaging, and adorable!』
『World of Zoo is the only life sim game that pushes you past the fences and into a word of your own zoo. Create and customize your zoo experience and develop hands on relationships to earn the trust and love of your animals』

(Just what I've been waiting for.)
『About a couple years ago I heard Nintendo was planning to dish out a black Wii. I told myself I'd wait and hold off on the white one, but what with all the great games already out, I couldn't resist.
As with most Wii purchasers, I added another Wii remote (or "Wiimote") and Nunchuk. The white's fine and all, but I really wanted the colored controllers as in the initial advertisements for Nintendo's Wii. Remember the lime green and red ones?

Nevertheless, with two white controllers I really didn't need any more. That is, until the black one finally came out.
It was a shock to me because I hadn't heard anything about their release and happened to stumble upon them at my local Target. I asked the nearby clerk, "When did these come out?" but he had no respective response (apparently they came out a week prior to this review). I rushed home and placed an order for the Wiimote and Nunchuk through Amazon.com.

The black Wiimote feels and functions superbly. Sure, it's the same as the white one albeit differently colored, but the blackness just gives it a supreme look--in my opinion, at least. The front side with the majority of the buttons has a glossy finish, which emits a radiant shine, whilst the back side with the battery door has a matte look and feel. The gloss may get dirty in the long run with fingerprints and skin oil, but for now it's staying shiny. The black rubber jackets may eventually attract dust and lint, but, again, for now it's clean as can be.

In this package you get the Wiimote, MotionPlus, batteries, wrist strap and two rubber jackets--one to hold the MotionPlus and one to hold the Wiimote without (which I'm currently using for New Super Mario Bros. Wii). Plus, you end up saving on this bundle over the white set, which can only be purchased separately as of this review. On Amazon.com, you'll end saving $5 or so.

All in all, it's the same ol' Wiimote, but in black. It has that new, stiff button feel, which I personally like, but give it some time to break in.
If you like black, opt for this controller. This is my "special" one that no one but me will use; everyone else can use the white ones.

Oh, and I hear that Nintendo plans to release pink and blue controllers soon in Japan. I'm sure they'll be coming Stateside shortly.』

(Nintendo has crossed over to the Dark Side....)
『It took them long enough, but Nintendo has finally come over to the dark side! Holding this black Wiimote fills one with the sense that one can conquer any video game with a single swing towards the Wii Sensor Bar. A great multitude of foes fall frequently in the wake of this controller's dark power.

As soon as I opened the package, my Wii games started rattling and shaking as each game tried to move itself behind another. They recognized that they were no match for the black Wiimote. Suddenly, a three star rating in Mario Kart Wii was an easy feat. 242 stars in Super Mario Galaxy? No problem! Even my guitar playing in Guitar Hero 5 improved.

The addition of the Wii MotionPlus accessory is an added benefit, but it's really more about the prestige that comes with owning your very own midnight black controller. It goes without saying that the Wii Nunchuk Controller - Black is a necessary accompaniment and proves to be a worthy companion to the black Wiimote. Get them both. You will not regret it.』

(Wii-mote At Night)
『When it has came down to the Nintendo Wii, it has definitely redefined the way we play video games. But, with all the great hype, they haven't been able to make alternating colors with their controller, only silver, until now. This brand new Wii-mote bundle includes a all new Black Controller, which gives a much sleeker look for when you play all your favorite Wii titles like Super Mario Galaxy and The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess. But, there is even more, with the success of Wii Sports Resort delivering to fans, it now includes the special Wii motion Plus attachment that is included with the Wii-Mote, so you don't have to get the Wii Motion Plus seperately anymore. It is a great must buy for anyone who wants to have all the needs of either swinging a gold club in Tiger Woods PGA '10, or skydiving in Wii Sports Resort. While there are so many companies that are now starting to make third-party remote controllers for the Wii, you honestly are much better off with Nintendo, with the sleekness and true to form way they control your way to the top of the game.

Price: B+

Convience: A-

Overall: A-』

『This bundle includes one black Wii Remote Controller and one black Wii MotionPlus accessory. The wireless, freehand Wii Remote not only makes games easy to play, it makes them more fun than ever before. Accentuating the sense of touch in the game lets you feel the heat of emotion with each movement. Because up to four players can grab a Wii Remote and play, there's always a party ready to happen with Wii! The Wii Remote frees you from cords and excessive, complicated buttons without sacrificing game play depth. Wireless and motion-sensitive, the Wii Remote offers an intuitive, natural way to play games. The controller plays into the conventional motions you make everyday. Wii MotionPlus is simple, intuitive, and easy to use. Connect the Wii MotionPlus accessory to your Wii Remote controller to increase accuracy and enhance play control on compatible games. Wii MotionPlus contains additional sensors that make the Wii Remote respond to the slightest movement, motion, or twist of the wrist.』
『To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities, Nintendo wanted to create a controller that was as inviting as it was sophisticated- the result is the Wii Remote. Nintendo fused the global familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device that differentiates the Wii from any other console that has come before it. Now Nintendo is making this revolutionary device available in black.

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review
(Poor version of a great game)
『I got the game for my iPhone and really liked it. So thought it would be good to play at home on my Wii. Major differences makes the Wii version much less than the iPhone. No way to configure how many players - hard wired to 4. iPhone I can play with myself and one CPU player. Makes for a wuicker games. ALso no way to turn off the music - gets old fast. So - better platform - but poor game - seems strange that EA got it so wrong on the Wii version.

(Great game, great translation, many hours of challenges)
『I think a lot of the reviewers were pretty harsh with the reviews. This game is a very good Wii translation with the bonus of other games, boards etc. Great party game. Try it.』

(This game is a family friendly blast!)
『I was surprised at the number of people bashing this game.

First off handling the property and money for monopoly is one of the oldest and most time consuming parts of the game. This is completely eliminated and is all done automatically. It also prevents cheaters from grabbing properties and money out of the till.

I also love the fact that you can deal with not only other players, but the computer players. It makes the game really interesting. My boy and I literally played this for days and have unlocked not only the mini-games, but all of the boards.

I will agree that the board is hard to read, but I am near-sighted and thought that was just me, LOL!

All in all, if you dont want to monkey around with the money and properties then this game rocks and is good for a lot of fun. The best is when you have 3 or more players, but you can use the computers to you advantage. The computer will change all of their cash and all of there property for certain properties like Boardwalk. This really gives you an advantage. It is also fair because all players know it.

If you dont like the talking or music just click the button and it shuts off. Some reviewer stated it just goes on and on incessantly, not true. Good luck and have fun.』

(Thank goodness I only rented this game.)
『This is just a bad version of a great board game. I attempted to play it, the future version, and you don't even get to roll or move. The game does all the play for you. It gives you some sort of option to choose how many tokens you want but the dice all have the same number so it's not really a choice. After 10 minutes I was glad I only spent $8 bucks to rent it but was also pissed I spent $8 bucks to rent it. This could have been such fun and instead it was a complete waste of graphics, sounds and hard work that went into making such a loser game.』

(Monopoly Wii)
『My husband and I play this all the time. It so much faster than the old way and there are many boards to pick from. Wereally have enjoyed playing. It is a lot of fun!』
『Monopoly Here&Now Wii』
『Turn real estate into real entertainment asMonopoly, the biggest deal in classic board games comes to the Wii for the first time inMonopoly Here&Now: The World Edition. Celebrating over 70 years of family fun, this new rendition of the legendary property trading game is sure to delight a new generation of players as it blends familiar turn-based board game style play with the energizing, Wii Remote based action modern gamers crave.

Gameplay
As with all versions ofMonopoly, gameplay inHere&Now: the World Editionis driven by turn-based rolling of the dice and the player's ability to secure and maintain control of real estate investments. In the Wii version players use the remote to roll the dice, with their piece moved around the board and rents deducted from their account automatically. Once this is done they have the choice to either visit the accounts screen, where all player owned properties and available cash are listed, or to allow the next player to roll. A new twist in gameplay involves the mini-games scattered throughout the board. These occur at different points in the game--for example, at the beginning of the game to determine who will roll first. They are quick detours from the main action and are generally designed to challenge players according to their standing in the game, thus making it tougher for first place players to pull away from their competition.

A New Game With New Boards
Although the game environment ofMonopoly Here and Now: The World Editionis firmly rooted in the original game through its inclusion of a classically laid out board, with all the properties and playing pieces you remember, it also offers up new directions of play through its wealth of new board options. The game contains 10 playable boards. Each is individually themed, with properties reflecting that theme. Just a few of these themes included are, jungle, arctic, future, cheese, and deco. In addition, other available boards are designed after world capitals. As players access these boards they receive stamps on a virtual passport that when filled will unlock even more boards as they circle the globe becoming international real estate tycoons.

Key Game Features:

  • Get Rich Quick- In this all-new, super-fast version, trade properties and compete in exciting mini-games designed to encourage fast monetary turnarounds, to see who makes the top of the rich list.
  • Group Play- Up to four players can simultaneously join in on the "rags to riches" fun.
  • Monopoly Past, Present&Future- The most extensive collection of Monopoly boards all in one package - from the newestMonopoly Here&Now: The World Editionto classicMonopoly.
  • Now Boarding- Fill up your passport as you play to unlock new and never-before-seenMonopolyboards.
30 Minute Games with 'Get Rich Quick'
A big part of the fun of the originalMonopolyboard game was the experience of going head-to-head against fellow players in games that could last for hours, depending on the roll of the dice and how much money and real estate assets were available. But not everyone wants to, or has the time to play a drawn out game like this. This is whereMonopoly Here and Now: the World Edition's 'Get Rich Quick' game mode comes in. Designed to be accessible to players of any age and more importantly to provide all the rags to riches excitement cherished from previous versions ofMonopoly, condensed into shorter space of time, a full game in Get Rich Quick mode can take as little as 30 minutes depending on your configuration. This speed of play is achieved through the availability of varying levels of play and strategy built into the mode. At the outset of the game players agree to play at either the developer, industrialist, or tycoon levels. Big payoffs and fast turnarounds are the norm here, with the developer level offering the quickest play due to the leveling events incorporated within it. Through these, large leads can often quickly disappear, keeping the game competitive regardless of player's skill levels and initial bankroll. The result is quick, compelling and addictive family gameplay that is sure to make its mark on generations of would-be real estate tycoons for years to come.

Wii Remote

Revolutionary control
Sporting the dimensions of a small traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designer's imagination. The magic of the Wii Remote's design lies within; acellerometers inside the controller body measure movement in all directions and at all speeds. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket as you swing your arm for a long forehand or a quick and hard backhand. In a 4x4 driving game it serves as a steering wheel, allowing you to swerve to avoid obstacles or pickup power-ups. In first-person shooters, the Wii Remote acts as a firearm that you can point directly at an on-screen enemy. The list of potential uses is enormous, and the light weight of the Wii Remote allows gamers to play for hours without feeling fatigued.

As comfortable as it is functional
The Wii Remote is equally comfortable in right and left hands and houses just the right number of buttons for gaming- not so many that new players will get confused, but enough so that Wii games don't feel constrained. On the face of the remote are the D (or "plus") pad, a large "A" button which is used for major on-screen actions, and two small options buttons. Between the game buttons are a plus and minus buttons (which often act as "forwards" and "back"), as well as a "Home" button to engage the Wii home screen to change settings or check remote battery levels. On the back side of the controller is a trigger-like "B" button, perfect for timing releases.

Wii MotionPlus
Simple. Intuitive. Easy to use. Connect the Wii MotionPlus accessory to your Wii Remote controller to increase accuracy and enhance play control on compatible games. Look on the back of Wii Game Disc WiiMotion Plus detailspackaging to see which games are specially designed for use with Wii MotionPlus. Wii MotionPlus contains additional sensors that make the Wii Remote respond to the slightest movement, motion, or twist of the wrist. Wii MotionPlus must be used with a Wii Remote, which is sold separately.

TheWii FitBalance Board
The primary tenet ofWii Fitis balance. Your center of balance, the point between your left and right sides when you stand upright, has a lot to do with your health. Those without an even center of balance will be unnaturally compensating for this imbalance, which causes their posture to become misaligned, increasing the possibility of putting unnecessary strain on their bodies. This is where the Wii Balance Board comes in.

Similar in appearance to a step aerobics board, the Wii Balance Board is much, much more. Easily capable of supporting weights up to a maximum of 300 pounds, it is sturdy and precise, able to measure weight and register pressure accurately when placed on a variety of flat surfaces. This advanced level of sensitivity allows for both the wide range of activities found in theWii Fitsoftware as well as the board's amazing ability recognize individual players by their weight alone.

Getting Started: Create a Profile
Before you jump into doing exercises and activities, you’ll start by creating a profile. This is done easily and intuitively by simply choosing a Mii, entering your height and age information, and doing a few quick tests that will serve as a baseline for your new Wii fitness regimen. These tests are:

Four Categories of Fun
Once you have created your profile it's time to have some fun.Wii Fitfeatures four main categories of exercises to choose from: Strength Training, Aerobics, Yoga and Balance Games.Wii Fitwill guide you through the first three with the help of your own virtual personal trainer, while the balance games offer variety and fun to help keep you engaged and excited about your fitness goals. In addition, as you spend time exercising, you’ll earnFitCredits that unlock additional exercises and activities within your favorite categories that will allow you to continue to push yourself. See more detail on the four categories below:

Keep Track of Your Progress
Because keeping fit is an ongoing process,Wii Fitalso tracks the activities you do the most and puts them into your Favorites category. With this information players can note exercises and activities that they are strong in, as well as others that may need to improve at. Some of the ways players can use this information for are to:

Variety, fun and progress tracking;Wii Fithas it all. So, Wii owners if you ready to reclaim your balance and get fit all you need isWii Fit, a few minutes a day to play and the urge to have fun. Get on board today.』

(hoped for more)
『When a friend of mine mentioned he had this game, I was very exited. Used to watch it all the time growing up, when I was out of school.

The "Whammies" are there and sort-of funny. Questions are way too easy, which may be the point. Not really a challenge. Probably a great game if you're playing for real money and there is some tension there, but otherwise, not a whole lot to it. Press a buzzer, get a whammy or else some "money" added to the pot. No real skill.

Fans of the show MAY like this. Others should skip it.』

(Underwhelming reproduction of a classic gameshow)
『This is an absolutely horrible representation of this classic gameshow. While the graphics are quite nice and accurately represent the look and feel of the classic gameshow, that's where the fun stops. The familiar theme song to the show is only similar to the original and you definitely know that is it "off." Fans of the original show will be really disappointed in that aspect of the game. Also, the sound during actual gameplay is TERRIBLE. The good old "beep boop BOOP boop bopp boop" during your experience of playing your spins on the board is buggy. It plays for three seconds and then goes silent, sucking all of the fun out of that part of the game. I mean, really. This was one of the highlights of the gameshow! It just seems like all of the details (music, sound effects) that made the show great were not given the attention they deserved. The only thing they did get right were the whammy animations.

The box states that it has 2500 questions. If that is indeed true, how does the developer explain the fact that I tried to play the game in party mode with others and I had the exact same questions in the same sequence in two of the three games we played? It seems like they overshot their question database claims by adding a few zeros.

Overall, this game should be in the [...] bin soon. The fun factor has been sucked out of the game by POOR developers and the replay value is just not there. If this developer continues the trend they started with The Price Is Right and now Press Your Luck, they should think about putting three games on one disc for this price. Just not worth it.』

(Exact replica of the television show)
『Unlike the Price is Right, they got this one right. Every little detail, down to the split screen on the last spin is here. I won't type much, and only say that the game is essentially the same as how you remember the show. They paid attention to the little things, which is always a plus.』

(Feels slighty incomplete for the price but I still like my favorite gameshow!)
『When I bought The Price is Right 2010, I was surprised at how slow the game moves and the fact that it feels incomplete. You hear the host, but don't see him. It would be great if they took samples of Bob Barker and Rod Roddy. It has elements that you would see on the TV of the actual game. For [...] on the Wii, the price feels very steep as compared to the PC. Same thing goes for Press Your Luck 2010. Between the 2 games, you are paying over [...] and after you play, you also feel gipped. From the popular TV show of the 80's, the game is similar to its Wii counterpart.

Unfortunately, those who love realism will be somewhat disappointed. You don't see the host as the case on TV (R.I.P. Peter Tomarkin who was the host of PYL in the 80's). The game moves at a slow pace. Just as on the game show, the first round has you answer questions. To buzz in, you move the Wii controller down like a fly swatter. You don't type in the answer, you are given them in multiple choice. So even if you don't know the answer you have a quick 25% shot at getting the question right. After you answer, the game eliminates the obvious wrong answer; the cpu has a better chance than you in fact. Somewhat disappointing. In the real game, you actually needed to know the anser. When the question round is over, the contestants are turned around to face the famous board. Don't expect too much animation. At the beginning, when you are making your character (very limited options but there are unlockable items), you can also set your mood. While "Pressing Your Luck," you might see your player as well as the CPU move their lips and hear faint sounds of," come on, come on, no whammies" but what you or they are saying, is not in sync with what comes out. The controller is responsive although it vibrates (feels awkward). If you land on a vacation prize, all you hear is what it's worth. You are given the opportunity to play or pass as in the real game. The whammy animation is ok. It's not as smooth as what you would see on TV. The music, ha a slight hint of what the real theme song is, but it seems a little blaaaah. For this price, I would recommend that people who love Press Your Luck or have a passing interest on it, to rent it and if you like it, wait for the price to come down. The price is very steep. It's crazy that between The Price Is Right, Press Your Luck, and Family Feud, you would be paying over $120 (even more adding tax and shipping). A big turn off. I bought The Price is Right and Press Your Luck because I had gift certificates; so I didn't pay anything. If I didn't I would of waited. Also, I bought them on the Wii because they can be tradeable. Lastly, it's more fun if there is more than one player.』

(Just like the tv show!!)
『I just bought this game yesterday and I was a little nervous as to how close they could make it to the actual show. I was very pleasantly surprised that so far, it is pretty accurate. It is a fun game for me to play with all 3 of my kids ages 11, 7 and 3. The nice thing with the trivia questions is that after the 1st person buzzes in with their guess, the other two players can see what everyone picks so if they don't know the answer, they can follow the crowd. This is especially helpful for my 7 year old! We have played it through 3 times so far and no repeat questions or whammies :) (the whammies are my 3 year olds favorite part and just as fun as I remember them!) I like that there seems to be a nice mix of difficult and easier questions so everyone can feel like they can answer.
One con would be how much the "host" talks between questions but again, that is probably true to a real gameshow. You can skip the computer turns when playing single-player instead of having to sit through the computer spinning the board many times. Nice feature!
All in all, a great family game. I would definately recommend it to a friend. Hopefully it does not start to repeat questions anytime soon. I will update this review after we have played it longer.』

(Great Wii game for snowboarders)
『I bought this as a gift for my son who loves skiing and snowboarding. He is 39 and had this on his wish list for a birthday gift. It arrived at his home within 3 days and we had a blizzard in Colorado so he played it all afternoon with his wife. He called to say it was great with lots of moves.』

(Fun game.)
『Fun game for the Wii if you have a balance board. Subtract a star or two if you don't. Could be more to it, but fun all the same.』

(Addicting!)
『This game is a ton of fun when played using the Wii balance board, but it is really hard to learn. It took me a good handful of times playing before I got used to how to do the jumps, manuevers and other actions. I've played a lot of times and still am not that great at it, but its well worth the money. I am a huge fan of snowboarding in real life and this gives you a pretty good feel as to what it's like to snowboard. The graphics are pretty good, but one downside I've noticed is that even though I haven't been playing this for very long I have nearly beat the entire game, which is a bit of a disappointment. You can still go back and improve on your scores, but I was hoping there would be more countries to explore. Overall a great game and a ton of fun, but it will take some getting used to. It's not one of those games you can just jump right into and be a pro at, it definitely takes practice.』

(disappointing)
『The snowboarding is not as much fun and not as much of a workout as I expected. It gets kind of boring after the first 10 minutes. Interface is a bit clumsy. My disc got stick (froze) a few times already. Obnoxious 15-year old comments during your rides.』

(ok, but not used much)
『bought this when we bought our wii. both husband and daughter would rather play mario kart than this game. Not too engaging.』
『Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip for Nintendo Wii introduces a whole new way of playing snowboarding games. Developed by Ubisoft, Shaun White Snowboarding was developed from the ground up to take advantage of the Wii Balance Board, giving you an experience that is more intuitive, realistic, and fun.

Land your favorite tricks in combination for the ultimate score. View larger.

Hop Onto the Wii Balance Board for a Realistic Experience
The Wii Balance Board is an accessory from Nintendo that works and is shaped like an elongated scale, with sensors that can tell how much and where pressure is applied when you stand on it. This works perfectly with Shaun White Snowboarding, as it can detect whether you are leaning forward, back, left, or right, and it reacts like a real snowboard would.

The Wii Balance Board gives you an unprecedented, realistic experience. View larger.
To jump, you quickly shift your weight to the balls of your feet, and while in the air, you tap the A or B buttons and lean left and right to grab the board and spin, respectively. A multitude of tricks are available for you to learn, and chaining them together lets you amass more points. As you do tricks, a small little icon shows up on the screen to let you know what you did. For example, if you do a 720-degree turn called a "melon," a little watermelon slice will show up on screen.

If you would rather forego the Balance Board, you can play with just the Wii Remote as well.

Beautiful Graphics with Unique Camera System
Shaun White Snowboarding: Road Trip features a unique camera system, where you can choose different cameramen and camerawomen to follow you around. Some are better for tricks and others for speed, so be sure to pick the right one, as they'll give you abilities during your ride.

As the cameraperson follows you on your ride, you'll notice different effects, such as image blurs around the edges of the screen to give a sense of speed. The camera will collect snow when you fall, and sometimes the camera will white out after completing a big jump, as the cameraperson has to follow you and do the same moves as well. This unique system adds another element of strategy and fun to the game.

Tour the World with Shaun White
Road Trip begins with you as a newcomer to the snowboarding scene. Shaun White serves as your mentor, and together you travel the world, tackling mountains and making friends as you work your way up to becoming the world's best snowboarder.

As you win competitions and meet new people, they'll show you new tricks and special abilities that will help you against the competition. You'll have to learn different snowboarding skills as you compete in races down a mountain, half-pipe events, slaloms, rail jams, and more. You can also take a breather and just free ride in the back country at your own pace.

Play With or Against Your Friends
Road Trip doesn't have online multiplayer options, but you can play both competitively and cooperatively with a friend on a split screen. In competitive mode, you and a friend can race to the bottom or try to out-trick each other for the highest score. In cooperative mode, both of you ride down the same slope, and the scores are added together. The entire game can be played cooperatively, so you and a friend can tour the world together and unlock new extras.

(Beautiful)
『Let me just start off by saying that this game is magnificent. If you like Zelda you will love this game. It does rip off some things from the Zelda franchise but Okami is peerless. The Japanese water color art is astounding, and if you play this game without the component cables you are truly missing out. The soundtrack is epic. I played this game and beat it in 45 hours and am saddened that it's over and that there is not a sequel readily available. This is hands down the best game I own and probably that is out there for the Wii and it's also really cheap. If you like Zelda, don't mind subtitles, and want to see how beautiful a game really can be on the Wii then you must buy this game!』

(Amazing!)
『This game is fantastic. The visuals, the music, the gameplay, the humor, it's all great and comes together very nicely. Anyone who has a Wii needs to buy this game. Definitely one of the best Wii games.』

(Okami)
『This is like Banjo Kazooie meets Zelda in Japan. The characters have the wonderful uh uh uh speech and the wolf has a bug friend with a big mouth. The landscape is extremely original and breathtaking. You control a sun god and go around making the world beautiful. It's great because the land in each section starts out corrupted but once you start defeated the monsters, the land starts blooming and the scenery changes completely. You can upgrade yourself by feeding animals and helping people around the villages and along routes, such a positive experience. The way to do a lot of these things is to paint them! With a flick of a brush you can make trees bloom and blotchy grass turn green and flowery. I could go on, but discovery is most of the fun. The game is, simply put, beautiful. Great Job!』

(A great game - many hours of gameplay, very much like Zelda)
『It is most similar to Zelda. I felt there was as much or more gameplay as Ocarina of Time (though most of it less challenging).』

(Fascinating!)
『Okami is a very interesting game. It is based off of Japanese mythology and lore and brings it to an interesting action and mystery game. As the main character, a sun goddess in wolf guise, you must defeat the countless demons that roam the land. Throughout the game, you will find and save other gods and be bestowed their powers to aid you in your fight.

I absolutely love this game for many different reasons. I've never really found a game that will have anything about culture and mythology without being boring, but Okami accomplishes this. The fighting system is very interesting with 3 main types of weapons, but each type has several weapons all with their own quirks to master. Using the various gods' powers requires you to actually draw different basic shapes (lines, circles, etc) to do different thing. Sure, the graphics on this game aren't the best, but the play control, the backstory of the game, and the plot definitely make this a fun game. This is a one player only game, though, but it's well worth it.』

(Barrier to entry is now non-existent, GET IT)
『Oh how I loved the first We Cheer. Niche title that I wish more people took a chance on. I'm sure our stellar Amazon reviews helped sway a ton of sales their way but this series deserves a lot of love. Anyone who was frustrated by the first game should give this one a second look. They have fixed a lot of the initial difficulty. Granted I've only had this for one day and not quite unlocked all the songs but after not playing the first game for months and jumping on this, I have yet to fail a song. It took me a good DAY before I could pass a song in the first game.

My only complaint so far is that the first game seemed to have a better and more dance-able songlist. Now I'm going to look forward to We Cheer 3. Hopefully we don't have to wait a year for it to show.』

(Something for everyone to cheer about!)
『We Cheer is one of my favorite video games of all time, and We Cheer 2 makes a great thing even better. Cheers to Namco for making big improvements based on people's feedback.

Perhaps the biggest complaint about the first game was that it was a struggle just to pass a song! The two levels, normal and hard, were more like harder and hardest. Not with We Cheer 2. The new (default) beginner mode has the fewest lines and you will score points even if you're too slow or fast, making it very easy to fill up that megaphone-shaped life gauge. The rainbow bonus round is also back - you spell words instead of lighting up stars - but this time you'll go into bonus mode even if you don't get all the letters; you just get less time to wildly shake your wiimotes for extra points. Beginner level is ideal for kids and newbies; my 7-year-old daughter, who was easily frustrated at the first We Cheer, happily tore through We Cheer 2. Even beginners can move up through the ranks and unlock songs and LOTS of stuff.

Seasoned We Cheerleaders like me will probably want to start with intermediate level. As with the first game, the squad always does the same routine for any song on all levels, but intermediate adds more lines. Advanced (which you unlock for each song by passing it) has the same lines as intermediate, as far as I can tell, but the grading's more strict - you only score on "cool" which is a perfect move, and the card bonus is taken away, making it truly a challenge to fill up that gauge. Like others said, the controllers feel more responsive, and they fixed the no-quit bug so you can go back to the Wii Menu at any point in the game, even mid-song.

More improvements: the main game mode (Competitions) now has a choice of two games, Championships and Squad Challenge. Squad Challenge is much like the game mode from before where you have dialogue screens with cheerleaders between songs and challenge them on various stages - fine for kids or those who insist a video game must have a storyline. But if you're like me and want to skip all the chit-chat, go to Championships where you just play one song after another. Each song gives you more cheer points to buy clothes and accessories in the cheer shop, additional cheerleaders and their uniforms, and of course new songs and stages. (You can even see all the unlockables listed under "Rewards" on the options menu.)

Wait, there's MORE! You can now customize hair styles, faces and even names. The uniform logo is now your team name, so you can have your school name or fave sports team or whatever you call your squad on a big banner on the menu screen. Head for the cheer shop and spend your cheer points on clothing, hats, hair decorations and face paint. And you can save your favorite outfits, or take and save photos of them. Multiplayer still has cheer-off (2 to 4 players) and 2 party games, Hot Balloon (similar to Hot Potato) and Balloon Survival (where you try to hit all your moves to keep balloon from popping).

And even more: Workout mode is back, and you have a choice of 2 songs/routines in short or long versions. (Unfortunately the "calorie" counter is still bogus.) There's also a new "cheer camp" where you learn actual cheerleader moves; young aspiring cheerleaders should enjoy this part. And there are now records, and - well, I shouldn't spoil everything. Just buy it!! Young or old, if you like to get up and cheer, this is your game.』

(More fun than the original!)
『I didn't even know this was coming out until I spotted it on Amazon's Wii page on the release date, and boy was I excited! I really liked We Cheer, but eventually gave up and sold it in frustration - it seemed to have such a hard time recognizing movements and it was unreasonably difficult to get a good enough score to move on to the next level.

NOT ANYMORE! We Cheer 2 is MUCH more responsive, and it is MUCH easier to "pass" each song and move on to the next level, unlocking more songs and customization options as you go along. I haven't gotten a really great score on anything, mind you, but I'm inspired to go back and try harder just because it's fun and I want to do better, not because I'm stuck forever on one level (as was the case with the original game). The music selections are very upbeat and mostly current, with a few retro tunes in there to keep us old ladies interested! Once successfully completing a routine on the basic level, you can unlock an advanced routine for most songs to keep things fresh.

It definitely offers some exercise, depending on how much you really want to flail your arms and dance around - sure is fun, yet as cute as the little cheerleaders on the screen are, I know my approximation of their moves looks something more like Godzilla destroying Tokyo. WARNING: do not play in front of anybody who has access to a video camera, or you will find yourself looking very silly on YouTube!

GREAT GAME - I'd imagine this would make a great gift for little girls who like cheerleading, as well as anybody who likes dancing and getting a little sweat going!』

(I LOVE WE CHEER 2)
『Ever since the announced release of this game, I have been so excited. We Cheer is my favorite Wii game to date. We Cheer 2 is even better than the original. I love this game. It has a great song selection of over 30 (mostly current) pop titles. This version has two options for play. You can choose to try out for the squad and follow a story line, or you can compete on your own choosing stages like a park where dolphins jump behind you or a gym that looks extremely similar to the "High School Musical" gym. :) This game is so much fun. It is somewhat good exercise because you do work up a sweat if you play for an hour, which I always do. This game is a good price for a wii game to. BUY IT. You will not be disappointed. I love love love it!!!!!

(Get up off the couch and cheer some more!)
『Give me a Y! Give me a E! Give me an S! Do I love this game as much or even more than the first We Cheer game? Yes! It's everything I hoped it would be. You might remember from my review of the first We Cheer that I'm a 60 year old woman who didn't make the cheerleading finals in junior high and have never gotten over it. So this is a big time opportunity for a second chance. And this game is much cooler than junior high. First of all, the stages are glitzy and sparkly and you have a choice of lots of different ones like the Dolphin Aquarium, the Namco Arena and more. In junior high there were only smelly old gyms! The music is great with 30 new songs by top artists, all high energy and fun. When I was in junior high the cheerleaders had to sing. How lame is that?

I think the controls on this game are a little more responsive than they were on the first. With the first game it took me a couple weeks to pass the first cheer. On this one I passed an easy one the first time. Now that may be because I'm used to the way the game is played and because I play it obsessively. I like the Stunt Time bonus points addition to this game. Not to worry, you don't have to do the splits and cartwheels across your family room to score. The motion is detected only in your arm movements. (You might want to keep your drapes closed while flailing your arms wildly in time with the music and jumping up and down when you pass a song. It will only confirm to any neighbors who might look in what you're one fry short of a Happy Meal).

One of the things I really liked about this game is that right in the beginning, when you're going through all the training instructions, there is a part where you move your wiimotes with a calibration device that sets the calibration for the moves in the game with your TV. You can still go back later into the options menu and readjust them if need be. With the first game I didn't check the option menu and settings for the first couple of days and then found out that my screen response was just the slightest bit slow. Once I adjusted for it the moves were easier to hit. If you're new to the game, definitely go through the training sessions to get the feel of the way it all works.

The first game had lots of options for customization of your cheer squad, but this game has even more. There are over 40 different male and female cheerleaders to choose from and there are more things to customize. You can even do accessories like hair ribbons in a choice of colors. You have greater control over what you want your cheerleader to look like and also the other cheerleaders in your squad. This game has male as well as female cheerleaders which is great because the first game had a lot of male fans. It's fun to change the outfits and pompoms when you're taking a few minutes to rest up after playing for a while. There is a scoring thing in this game that's new, where you rack up points in the championship mode. You start as a Newbie and progress through the ranks. I was up to Amateur in my first session. You also see charts with high scores after each try. I liked that they didn't have the chatty fellow cheerleaders after each cheer in this game. Of course you can hit the A/B buttons in the first game to skip through that and can do that in this game to for any screens you want to skip. I like that feature, because the game moves quickly and you get to keep moving.

You can pick a different stage after each play if you want and the menu is a little different for this game than for the first. That menu looks kind of like a DDR menu. The game is still oozes with enthusiasm and high energy. The trace lines which you have the option to change to thinner lines are the same. It's a great way to exercise your arms and upper part of your body and the trainers encourage you in the beginning to follow along with full body dance moves. At first it's enough work just to follow the arm patterns, but once you learn those you can follow along. My arms feel like they're going to fall off after playing for a while and I worked up a good sweat. The thing I like best about the game is that it's fun and I seldom can play for just a short time. With the first game I've spent many nights playing until 2:00 in the morning, just because I had to pass one more cheer to get to the next level and I'm sure with the point system in this new game it'll be even more self competitive. Oh, you could invite up to 3 friends over for a Cheer Off where each player uses one wiimote or one friend in Cheer Battle where each player uses two wiimotes. My friends already think I'm nuts, a 60 year old cheerleader wannabe, so I won't even go there! Two thumbs up for We Cheer 2! This game will keep me busy for a long, long time.

(Great Game just one problem)
『I beat this game within a few hours of purchasing it, now i want to play it with my friends and i cant seem to get the wii remote to synch up with the game. any suggestions?』

(An unexpected gem.)
『This was a game I had originally passed on when I saw it available in stores. I was familiar with the other games in the franchise(House of the Dead 1&2)and was never that impressed with the graphics or gameplay in either of those titles. I decided to take a chance on this one after reading a couple of good reviews and was pleasantly surprised. The in-game graphics are great, the campy grindhouse style story was very original and the 70's style music is actually pretty good. The game is more enjoyable after you unlock directors cut because you are given an opportunity to replay the story with more zombies and the levels are now more immersive(In regular mode you would explore a handful of rooms before a boss batttle but, in directors cut you are given a chance to explore every square inch of a level making it a brand new experience). Also, once you beat directors cut you unlock "Dual-wield" mode which allows you to use two zappers simultaneously so you can play John Woo style. One of the complaints that I heard about the game was that the frame-rate gets sluggish when there are too many characters on-screen but, honestly I never even noticed it.

I only have a few complaints. The boss battles tend to be pretty weak compared to the rest of the game and the profanity is a little excessive(I have no issues with profanity but, when you are swearing just because you can,it gets a little annoying). That being said, I would definitely buy any sequels to this game』

(Awesome!)
『Sega has really upped the ante for the House of the Dead Series. I originally started playing HoTD games on the Sega Saturn and have been a fan for many years. House of the Dead Overkill is the best of the series, bringing a truely unique experience to the Wii console. This is not a game for children, it is rated mature for a reason. It has some very gory scenes of violence and adult language. That being said, I loved it and so will everyone who has ever liked HoTD in the past.』

(Useless Talent #32)
『Hoo yah! It's Planet Terror but YOU'RE the one killing zombies! Why settle for watching grindhouse flicks when you can star in one?

The House of the Dead Overkill is something that has been sorely needed for the Wii: an ultraviolent game with tons of offensive language, over-the-top gore, and foul, unlikable characters. I mean, how many cute "kart" racing and soft n' fuzzy platformer games does one console need anyway? And don't even get me started on all the Hannah Montana games.

Yeah, so you're on rails, the dialogue is deliberately bad, and the game is a little short. So what? HOD Overkill has its roots in the arcade. It's dumb, it's repetitious, and it's FUN. And did I say that it puts you in the middle of an awesomely horrible grindhouse movie? I guess I did...and that's why you need to buy this game.』

(Good game, but horrible vulgar language)
『This game is a great shooter overall, but you may have to play it on mute. All the cut scenes have more of the f word than a Samuel Jackson movie. The language the characters use is right out of a bad B movie so be prepared for that. The game-play itself is pretty straightforward, you don't control your character, you just do the shooting as the game moves you through the levels. There is little replay value once you have beaten the regular and directors cut versions, but it is fun to play with another person. So if you are looking for a shooter to play two-player this is a great game.』
『The House of the Dead: OVERKILL charges you with mowing down waves of infected, blood-thirsty zombies in a last-ditch effort to survive and uncover the horrific truth behind the origins of the House of the Dead. Survival horror as its never been seen before, The House of the Dead: OVERKILL is a pulp-style take on the best selling, classic SEGA light-gun shooter series. Back when the famous Agent G was fresh out of the academy, he teamed up with hard-boiled bad-ass Agent Washington to investigate stories of mysterious disappearances in small-town Louisiana. Little did they know what blood-soaked mutant horror awaited them in the streets and swamps of Bayou City.』
