(Much fun - an essential accessory!)
(My Son loves this game.)
(Wheel works well)
(Must Have for playing with friends) Since getting the Wii Wheel for my 7 year old he has enjoyed his speed racer game so much more. I even gave it a spin. It was fun to play the game. Now I have to fight the kid to play. We love it!!! I bought the wheel when I bought Mario Kart Wii (so I have 2 wheels). I can't imagine playing the game without them. They make the game more interactive and fun. There are 3 kids in my household who also use the wheels, no problems or complaints so far.
You can also find this exact wheel at Wal-Mart for about $10. My son loves this game and won't stop playing. He loves the feel of the steering wheel and feels like he is really driving. It is such a joy to watch him play. This a good compliment to the driving games, even the cow races in Wii Play. Wheel is a great addition to the Mario Kart Game. If you plan on plating with a friendm they can have the same Wii Wheel that comes with the game and you are using. Great buy. The Wii Wheel transforms the Wii Remote controller into a steering wheel that feels natural in anyone's hands, while the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller offer a classic control style for the Mario Kart veteran. In either configuration, players can perform speed-boosting tricks with a shake of the Wii Remote. Rerations < Official Nintendo Wii Wheel >

(Not worth getting.)
(Great games)
(Incredibly realistic)
(Variety of fun) We purchased this for our grandchildren and as it turns out the entire family is enjoying it. I got this a while ago so i would have four remotes. I thought it would be a good deal because its only ten dollars more than a remote. But i should have just bought a remote because the game that comes with it is not very good. Its only mini games that is not even worth eight bucks. It does not even save it after u beat it. U have to beat it over and over again which it is kind of a hard game so its gets really boring. Even on multiplayer. The only good thing about this is the remote that comes with it. Perfect way to get a second controller and the games that come with it are simple and enjoyable. All the games are fun, but we mostly bowl when a few friends come over. I find myself making exactly the same mistakes and corrections as when I actually bowled many years ago; you can really get into it! Friends and relatives are mostly in their 50's and 60's, and are usually reluctant to play a "video game", but once they try it they are hooked! Before they even start, we have each newcomer build their own "Mii", which is always good for a few laughs.
Bottom line: It's just like real bowling, except the beer is cheaper and you get to wear your own shoes. A lot of differemt games to play. Keeps kids and adults busy with some very interesting games. Wii Play collects nine quick and addictive games that are easy to pick up and play and hard to put away. Thanks to the intuitive controls of the Wii Remote, even the most inexperienced gamers will have no trouble mastering the controls.
Wii Play features nine separate mini-games, including the following:
Shooting Range, a point-and-fire game of target practice in the Duck Hunt tradition.
Billiards, a simplified variation of nine-ball with stunningly realistic physics that uses your Wii Remote as your pool cue.
Find Mii, in which you scan the crowds to find the right Mii—and Miis you and your friends created make an appearance.
Tanks!, in which you command a toy tank on a miniature battlefield in a gauntlet of 100 missions.
Other games include Pose Mii, Table Tennis, Fishing, Charge!, and Laser Hockey.
Every game features a multiplayer mode, so you and your friends can compete for the high score or go head to head to see who’s the best. Wii Play comes with a white Wii Remote so that your friends can join in the action. (Nunchuk not included.)

(WOW!)
(Not bad.)
(A difficult, but highly entertaining game.)
(knockin out the compitition) A Great Game! I've been a fan since this game dating back to the original coin-op game of the early 1980's. If you are a fan of retro games, you should really consider this one. Great stuff! They've done an excellent job of tying this to the original so us older nerds can appreciate that...but it's also a lot of fun with the new things added as well. I highly recommend using the Wii Balance Board with it, if you want to get more involved and in the game (it allows you to dodge and dock with your whole body instead of just moving the joystick). And if the orginal was this good of a workout, I might not have been an overweight youngster!!! This is a fun game. I do agree that the controls kind of suck and are not near as sharp as Super Punch Out or Punch Out NES. The game is not nearly as difficult as Punch Out or Super Punch Out but some fighters are a challenge. Over all not a bad game but not anything new. Punch-Out isn't for everyone. It's extremely difficult by the standards of most games today. But if you consider yourself a hardcore gamer, it's your duty to buy this game, because every moment of it is fantastic. this game is the best in its class as far as non realistic boxing goes its lightyears ahead of games like facebreaker. this game is the reason i purchased my wii and its the first wii game i ever played it instantly hooked me and made me want other wii games. most remakes are horrable and slaughter your fond memories of classics but this is a really fun game. the only thing missing that woulda been cool would have been a real life super hard to beat boxer at the end of the game. but it does have a few flaws the load times and its hard to dodge sometimes. One of the biggest names in boxing returns after a 15-year hiatus. Grab a Wii Remote controller in one hand and a Nunchuk controller in the other and step back into the ring with a modern update of the classic Punch-Out!! Little Mac is back! Everyone’s favorite underdog from the 1980s joins the best of the original Punch-Out!! cast in a modern re-imagination of the series. Players will find familiar names like Glass Joe, King Hippo and trainer Doc Louis. These boxers come to life again in cel-shaded 3-D, complete with hilarious fighting animations and back stories that capture all the fun and flair of the original Punch-Out!! games. The motion-sensitive controls of the Wii console mean that when players throw punches, Little Mac throws punches as well. Additionally, you can control hooks and jabs by combining motion control with control-stick movement. The motion-sensing Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers turn real-life swings into on-screen punches, so anyone can play. The game can also be played with classic NES-style controls by turning the Wii Remote sideways.

Each have their own backstory and patterns of attacks to learn and learn to counter. Just a few of the characters you can expect to see are:
Little Mac Small but extremely game, Little Mac is a young, up-and-coming fighter, who with the help of his trainer, ex-champion Doc Lewis, has set his sights on working his way through the ranks.
Glass Joe A fearful French fighter due to his extremely weak chin, Glass Joe will crumple to the mat quickly with just a few well-placed shots, making him an easy mark and a good warm-up for the fighters to follow.
King Hippo King Hippo is both huge and an immensely powerful fighter, but can be weakened with the right combinations to the head and body, giving you time to go for the knockout if you can survive his onslaught.
Von Kaiser An old-timey fighter whose rumored childhood difficulties have left him eager to dish out punishment in the ring, Von Kaiser is a dangerous opponent, but one who will turn tail if you can find his weakness.
Special Attacks Players can obtain special 'Star Punches,' which allow Little Mac to take more health from his rival in a single punch. Players can now use multiple stars in a single punch for an extra-powerful attack.Controller Options Punch-Out!!features multiple controller options. For players looking to take advantage of the Wii's motion control capabilities,Punch-Out!!uses the Wii Remote and Nunchuck controllers to simulate throwing punches. Use the Nunchuck to throw a left punch and the Wii Remote to throw a right punch. Fans of the NES version and core gamers will be excited to see Nintendo has also included the option to playPunch-Out!!using the classic layout from the original NES controller. (Outstanding)
(Very Complicated)
(love this game! fun and not that hard!!!!)
(sdmsec) I haven't played real tennis since I was a kid. However Wii sports tennis was quickly one of my favorite Wii games and I have played it almost every day for 2 years.
Grand Slam tennis is fun. I actually like the cartoon characters (if you play as John McEnroe, you will get to see him throw a fit whenever you lose - very funny!) and the motion is smooth.
My warning is this: if the only tennis you have recently played is Wii sports, then you will find the controls initially confusing. I didn't realize just how terrible my form was until I played this game. Holding the wiimote like a baseball bat and swinging it quickly by using wrist flips (which are deadly in wii sports) will create havoc and frustration. My trusted Wii sports moves always resulted in my player missing the ball or swinging on the wrong side.
So be prepared to have to spend a few hours relearning how to play tennis on the Wii. It will be worth it. (However I am still not convinced that this is true 1:1 motion (play Tiger Woods 10 frisbee golf and then play this - close but not exact). I tried to replicate the 1:1 moves that the EA Sport director does on the official website with little success.)
I was looking for a real tennis game after my initial experience with Wii Sports. I ended up buying both Virtual Tennis 2009 and Grand Slam tennis. Having played both for the last 2 weeks, I can say that Grand Slam tennis wins hands down. It takes a while to get used to the manual movement controls, but it becomes easier and incredibly fun. It is a fantastic workout and if you are a tennis fan, a must have. I found the virtual tennis game to be satisfactory, but not quite up to the same level as Grand Slam in terms of experience. The Wii Motion plus makes a huge difference. I am trying very hard to like this game. I don't want to give up on it- yet- but it is very complicated. Yes, it feels a lot like real tennis, but having to play against pros is not really that much fun. I am an older woman, using this for fun and exercise, and find myself becoming frustrated with the controls and with my choices- dress? skirt? volley? All Around? locker room? And after 20 minutes of hard play it determined that I had burned 4.5 calories.
Don't think so!
I give it a 3 because it is very realistic for a video game, but no higher because it is a lot of work to figure it out. I just want to have fun!!!!
The Wii motion plus seems to be a great addition. i'm a casual at best gamer who played wii tennis like the masses and it always left me wishing it was less weebley more tennisy... and Grand Slam is amazing in comparison. I do find the wii motion thingie glitchy frankly, and am glad game can be played with or with out.
I've had game about a week, set on easy and have won the Australian open and Wimbledon...it's not as hard as comments would leave you to believe, have read people say they can't win against the A.I.'s; you can, it's just not wii tennis, thank heavens. took about 2 days to rewire brain from wii controls to grand slam, and figured it out. I haven't used nunchuck thing. the constant replays (you can fast forward thru them) annoyed me at first, now i find a great tool for seeing what you did wrong. i'm gonna set it up to med or hard, but only after i win a real 4 slam yr! Let's get one thing out of the way up front: you can't use the wii-mote and motion-plus exactly like a tennis racket and have good results. In particular, taking a deep back-swing in preparation for a shot causes the on-screen player to swing. Also, you can't stroke through the ball when you want to drive the ball down the line - you have to "push" the ball in the direction you want. Using the wii-mote with motion plus is somewhere between a tennis stroke and using a ping-pong paddle.
Now, with that out of the way, I'll say that once I accepted that I couldn't swing exactly the way I wanted - this game is very fun. I find that the wii-mote+motion plus+nunchuck give me incredible control and options during game play. Now that I'm more accustomed to the gestures I find myself absorbed in tennis strategy - anticipating my opponents' next shot, moving the opponent around the court, etc.
My wife and I played doubles together against the computer and the player communications, planning, etc. that evolved as we played together felt very much like when I played tennis on the high school team.
This game would have easily merited five stars if it had recognized (1) drawing back my racket isn't a swing; (2) allow the velocity of my stroke to control the ball's speed; (3) allow the angle of racket meeting ball to determine ball direction. Even without these features the game feels like tennis. Developed specifically for the Wii, EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis delivers the deepest and richest tennis experience ever developed for the platform with real life tennis strokes letting anyone quickly pick up a racket and use every shot type and inch of the court. It is the exclusive home of Wimbledon and includes all four Grand Slams: the Australian Open, Roland Garros, the U.S. Open and Wimbledon. (Great)
(Great add-on.)
(Good Workout!) This pack allows a 2nd person to exercise at the same time. I find that having a workout partner makes it a little competitive in a fun way. It felt more like a game than an actual workout. The personal trainer game has great variety and on the higher intensity can really whip you into shape...NO PAIN NO GAIN! I thought that I was relatively well conditioned after going to the gym for many, many months. I tried this game for 20 minutes at the very hard setting and after 20 minutes I was dripping sweat and I could feel the workout in my legs. I really enjoyed the lunges and squats where the game indicates to hold the position and when to move. Also, the cardio boxing was a lot of fun. I've only tried it once so far and look forward to exploring the game further~! Provides a great workout at varying levels and targets specific areas in each workout. There is a 30 day challenge with pre-set workouts or you can create your own. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to get into a good exercise routine.EA Sports Active With this add-on my wife and I can work out together. Unlike some of the other one's like Wii Fit where you would have to take turns. You can workout "co-op" to to complete the exercises. I have been using the game for about 2 weeks now. Although some of the warm ups are a little slow, I love the variety of workout activities. Being able to track my calories burned and the option to choose my own activities makes for a fun workout with as much or as little variety as I choose!! (Very thorough fitness program)
(Great purchase)
(ok but not the best)
(My Fitness Coach my favorite out of Wii Fit, EA Sports Active, Golds Gym Cardio Workout, and Active Life Outdoor Challenge) I have been exercising regularly for a long time. I have a gym quality eliptical machine and was using it at least 3 times a week along with some free weight work.
Your body get used to the exercises you perform so when I decided to purchase this product (which was only $19.99 at Target . . . sorry Amazon)and started the workouts, I was amazed at how out of shape I was!! It does everything described in other reviews (designs a workout based on your current fitness level etc.) and it really works if you stick with it. When you choose a 45 minute cardio workout, you do cardio for 30 minutes and muscle toning for 15 minutes. I love that! If you want to concentrate on upper body, you'll still get about 10 - 15 minutes of cardio and then toning exercises.
The funny thing is that if you miss a scheduled workout, Maya (the trainer) scolds you for missing. Some may not respond to this type of accountability, but I love it. Many times I'm in a bit of pain, but it's a good pain . . . you know you are working!!
I have noticed a difference in my body in only 14 workout sessions.
I still use my eliptical. This provides variety which is also a key in sticking to a program!! "My Fitness Coach" has a very basic and thorough approach to their fitness program. They ask a series of questions to get started - your age, weight, height, measurements, etc. - that provide a more complete profile than other programs I have seen. The exercises are tailored to your profile. This is a great product. Not only is it a great workout, it took me through an in depth physical assesment to see my capabilities and heart rate for my ideal results. Once you plug all this informaion into the system, it creates a specialized workout from those results for you with the option to incorporate the use of items you have around the house (i.e. free weights, exercise ball, etc). It provides you with various options of focus (ie: upper, lower body, cardio, etc) I know there is more to it than I have already used but overall, a great product. just to add something that most reviewers left out. while this game provides a good coach to encourage you to work out doing many different exercises, there is no real way of measuring your output, it seems like scripted verbal praises even if you just stand still when supposed to be performing an exercise, she will say good job or something so unlike active where you where leg strap and controller to measure your every movement, and if the game detects you didnt actually perform the exercise the game stops until you do, this game does not actually measure any output from the user. it is just merely a coach that you have, and its up to you to perform to your highest ability. except for during the initial set up portion of game, that part is measured. better off getting active, or golds cardio. I would recommend My Fitness Coach. You start off doing an assessment of your physical abilities and it builds a program based upon that. In each session they ask whether the program was to easy, just right, or to difficult so they are constantly modifying the program to fit your current needs. If you have hand weights, a step bench, or a stability ball they will incorporate these pieces of equipment into your session. There is upper body, lower body, flexibility/yoga, core, weightless, and cardio options to chose from and you can chose 15 min., 30 min., 45 min., or 60 min. sessions. I have My Fitness coach, Gold's Gym Cardio Workout, Wii Fit, EA Sports Active, and Active Life Outdoor Challenge, My Fitness Coach is by far my favorite and I believe it offers a lot more than the other titles. I purchased these titles to help with my physical therapy, I cannot drive and am allergic to the sun, so I do most of my exercises indoor. I have three forms of lupus and my legs and back have some issues from the disease. I am able to benefit from My Fitness Coach the most. Some of the exercises I have to make a few modifications too but I have to do that to all of the titles that I mentioned. Overall, My Fitness Coach has helped me to strengthen the areas of my body that have suffered the most based on my individual problems. Having used all of the programs mentioned before almost daily I really feel that My Fitness Coach has the most to offer for both beginners and more advanced users. It is constantly challenging you if you are honest with your answers to the questions, and are willing to dedicate three to four days a week to it. Like Wii games? Are you sweating to Wii Fit but want to take it a step further? Get in shape with your own virtual personal trainer, Maya, in an accessible, convenient and intense fitness program customized to meet your needs. My Fitness Coach is the latest in Nintendo's impressive line of games that prove video game entertainment can be both healthy and fun. Usually ships in 24 hours customer 's review (It's Good To See The Ghostbusters Again But....)
(Funner than you're heard (and I have both 360 and Wii))
(Huge Fan of the Ghostbusters But Not This Game on Wii!)
(A movie pretending to be a video game.)
(Ever wanted to be a Ghostbuster?) I wanted to love this game so bad. All of the key original actors and actresses (from Bill Murray to Annie Potts) were involved in the creation of the game and their voices were used for their characters. Slimer, the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man and others also return. The proton packs, PKE meters and all of Egon's other wonderful gadgets were also used in this game.
So what's not to like? Numerous gameplay-interrupting cutscenes (some funny, some not), half-hearted controls, and, in least in my case, dizzying levels where one has to walk around a lot in order to get their bearings straight.
The cutscenes could have been excellent. Those featuring Peter are downright hilarious at times, but they constantly interrupt gameplay. Also, some of them were a bit longer than needed, thus aggravating me even more.
While the controls aren't terribly hard to master, they aren't always responsive. When capturing ghosts, the player has to slam the ghost around in order to weaken them for the traps. This aspect of the game is very fun and adds a bit of realism to what is happening on the screen. However, much like others have stated already, I often found myself either losing hold of the ghost or having to shake the controller violently in order to slam the ghost. I haven't had a response like this in other games that require such movement. Batteries were not an issue either.
I sometimes found myself lost in rooms or on stairs at times. This caused me to double back on many of the routes I had taken, as well as prolonged the dull moments between ghost captures.
While I feel that all of the above gripes are legitimate, I also found plenty that I liked about this game.
For one, it was so nice to hear the original voices with these characters. The music score felt just as fresh today as it did when I first heard it so many years ago on the big screen. All of the humor from the films is intact as well.
Slamming (when it worked) and capturing the ghosts were my favorite parts of the entire game.
The graphics didn't bother me one bit, but do know that they are more "animated" than those of the 360 and PS3 based on pictures I've seen of the game on those consoles.
In summary, nostalgia reigns supreme on this game. If you love the films (or even the cartoon series), you might want to pick this up just to hear the proton packs charge up again. Otherwise, I'm sure you can find much more challenging (and less aggravating) games on the market.
Recommended to fans of the films and cartoon series and anyone who just wants to bust some ghosts. I've never written a review on here but I was motivated to by all the negative mainstream reviews surrounding the Wii version of this game. This is not going to be wordy so I will cut to the chase.
I own both the 360 and Wii versions of this game. The 360 game is, hands down, the better version. The graphics are better, the sound effects are better, the level and enemy design is better, and it really does give you the feeling you are a part of the third movie.
So, with that being said, why am I still so high on the Wii version? Simply this: After the "wow" factor of the 360 one (and I played that first), I'm actually having more fun playing the Wii version. Two things really stick out about it: The animation and the controls.
Yes, they look like cartoon caricatures. But the way they are animated is amusing and fun. But it is the controls that make this game. You really feel like you are busting when you have to point the wiimote at the ghost, then pull them in the direction indicated by the onscreen arrows, and then finally into the trap. The actualy trapping of the ghost works better in this version. While the 360 version sounds and looks better, the Wii vision really makes you feel like you're busting ghosts.
So my advice to you, if you own both systems, is to play the 360 one first to enjoy the story and the feeling of being part of a movie. Then pop in the Wii version to really feel like you're ghostbusting.
And of course, if you only own the Wii, if you are a GB fan it is a no-brainer!! First of all, I love anything with the Ghostbusters. I was very excited about this game. The pros are: good voice acting with the original actors, good graphics, good story line, and the ghosts were interesting. The cons are completely the wii controls. I was dizzy trying to just focus on capturing a ghost or even navigating. I did not find it fun. I found it irritating. The other thing that made playing this game not as fun was the constant movie scenes. I liked them, but they took me away from the game. It was distracting. I plan on renting it on another platform to see if I like it better that way! Unless you are a devoted "Ghostbusters" fan, then there is no reason to buy this game. The game can easily be beaten in a few sittings, maybe totaling 7-8 hours. After you beat the game there is absolutely no reason to play it again as the game offers very little to increase its replay value. Almost half of the game is comprised of annoying cut-scenes that often take too long and disrupt the flow of the game. You watch the cut-scene, or skip it, then get back to the repetitive and effortless action of capturing ghosts which is the only thing you will remember about this game because of how aggravating it is.
With this being the Wii version of this game you have to go into this knowing that the graphics aren't going to be that good... I was astounded by how horrific the graphics really are. BUYERS BEWARE. I grew up in the 80's, on movies like Back to the Future, Superman, Karate Kid, and of course, Ghostbusters. I remember fondly playing "Ghostbusters" with my friends, imagining that we were capturing ghosts, and then playing the original video game when it came out for the Commodore 64 and Apple Computer, and later for the Nintendo. Like others who grew up during that time, I'm now in my 30's, have a family of my own, and can no longer easily sit down and play video games for 10 hours straight. Nevertheless, I was pleasantly surprised when I received this game as a present for Father's Day. My first thought upon receiving this was "when am I ever going to have time to play this game?" But I've managed to get in some ghostbusting a few minutes at a time in the evenings after the family's taken care of and the little one is asleep.
For anyone who ever imagined what it would be like to be a ghostbuster, this game delivers. You get to walk around carrying a proton pack, hunting down ghosts, inflicting ridiculous property damage, and hang out with the entertaining ghostbusting crew. The game is filled with references to the two films, including most of the original voice cast, and even Janine the secretary returns with her witty sarcastic banter. The result is that you really feel as if you are taking part in the next Ghostbusters movie. It's terrific, and full of laughs.
After a few sessions I'm starting to get the hang of aiming the proton streams, setting traps, using the PKE and dodging attacks. The game is a full on experience, with graphics, special effects, voice-acting, music, and story all making you a part of the Ghostbusters team. I look at this game not as a hardcore gaming experience, but as a fun nostalgic romp. For anyone who was a fan of the movies growing up and ever dressed up as a Ghostbuster, this game is for you.

(Great Game!)
(sounds great, but...)
(Fun For All)
(Fun game with many levels) Lego Star Wars is host to a multitude of small but cumulatively frustrating flaws: studs (the in-game currency) disappear too quickly to collect everything you scare up; the concept of depth is almost non-existent in some important jumping sections; vehicle controls are unforgivably loose; mission objectives are sometimes ill-defined. Even the insistent flashing of highlighted text on menus seems designed to annoy. Playing the game alone, the best you could say is that it represents an entertaining idea ("Legos plus Star Wars? How can we lose!?") hindered by poor execution.
Get a like-minded friend to pick up the second controller, though, and it's a different game. The length of time studs appear seems calibrated to multiplayer--two people working in tandem can usually collect everything before it flickers away. And a human companion is vastly superior to the single-player mode's brain-dead A.I. allies. Multiplayer has its own quirks; for example, friendly fire is always on and the auto-targeting feature likes to aim at your companion as often as the enemy, and multiplayer turns the already recalcitrant camera into one that almost gleefully obtructs your point of view. But having a second human player not only to strategize, but to laugh at the game's absurdities, lightens the mood considerably. So much so, in fact, that a game that's hard to recommend for one player could be a must-have for two.
~ Game is a lot of fun, shipping was quick and efficient and the game was in great condition. No scratches and the package even had the instruction manual! this game sounds great and all being you play through all 6 story lines, but its Lego!its goofy and sloppy and looks ridiculous! i mean why cant they make the same type of game with all 6 stories as a regular realistic type video game? that would be f-ing sweet! With a cartooninsh twist, this game will satisfy any young star wars fan. All movie plots 1-6 are included in this super fun game. I had great fun running through the Mos Eisley Cantina crowd, into the Hoth war zone, then back through the Cantina into a pod-racer race. This game really allowed me to fully enjoy the Star Wars universe without the dark undertones that woked great for the movies, though with a Lego video game it wouldn't work. I hope that the force will guide all of you to this great and exciting game! I bought this game for my 8 yr old son and he loves it. he got a bit bored with the Light Saber duelling game in a short time. The Lego game has a bunch of levels and you can buy characters, speeders, etc. If you are a teenager or older, it may be a little juvenile for you but for younger kids it is perfect. Building on the success of both Lego Star Wars videogames, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga enables families to play through the events of all six Star Wars movies in one videogame for the first time ever. Developer Traveller's Tales has brought the action to the Nintendo Wii, with motion-sensitive inputs that give you exciting new ways to control your Lego Star Wars characters, while also adding new characters, new levels and new features. The upgraded Character Customizer includes all Prequel Trilogy characters for the first time, while also expanding its customization options well beyond those in Lego Star Wars II, for millions more possibilities. Create cross-Trilogy mash-up characters like Han Windu and Lando Amidala. New game features include enhanced Force powers, new power-ups, and a new Challenge Mode. Levels from the original Lego Star Wars are revamped to meet the gameplay evolutions of Lego Star Wars II. ESRB Rated E10 for gamers aged 10 and up. Rerations < Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga >

(Very solid FPS)
(Best Shooter on Wii)
(Best FPS Controls, okay story.)
(Very Fun Multiplayer, Lackluster Single Player) I've had a chance to play this quite a bit over the last 2 weeks or so and it's pretty solid, although I'd actually give it 3.5 stars if I could. There's nothing about it that's really bad, except maybe the single player campaign length. The controls are good, story is OK. I've heard people rave about the graphics but they really aren't any better than Metroid Prime 3 as far as I can tell. The multiplayer online is pretty fun and reminds me of Perfect Dark on the N64 quite a bit. This game is definitely worth getting, epecially if they drop the price. The Conduit provides a decent single player campaign and a hassle-free multi-player component. That, and it's really the only sci-fi shooter on the Wii (Red Steel = crime shooter, CoD and MoH = WWII shooters, Metroid Prime = more of an adventure game)
The controls are excellent, the graphics are decent (some textures wash out a bit, but overall the presentation is solid), and the story is good, if a little cliche. The enemy AI in my opinion is good too; playing the game on "Hard" really provides a good balance of enemy intelligence and firepower.
If you only have a Wii and you want a solid sci-fi FPS to have fun with, this is your ride. Even if you have other consoles, the unique controls of The Conduit might also merit a purchase or rental. The Conduit. A great shooter for Wii owners, and pretty much the best on the system. Also notice that it has 4 stars. It is actually more of a 4.5 so just pretend thats what it says. Now back to business. This game has great controls, grapics and sound. The story is pretty good, but not the best. If your trying to decide to buy this or not, here is the determining factor. If you only own a wii then definately buy this. you will love it. However, if you also own a 360 or a PS3, this won't offer that much more than all your Halo's and what not. This game has the best FPS controls ever, the story is okay, when they make The Conduit 2 they need to make a better story because the controls are perfect. Online is fun but the maps get kind of boring. To get down to it, it looks very good, not as good as Metroid 3, but close. My personal biggest problem is that it really could have benefited greatly from running at 60FPS as opposed to 30.
As far as the multiplayer goes, it has a very streamlined design (minus the sadly included friend codes). I did experienced some two game crashes, but they were rare and did not take away from the gameplay experience which is as fun as the majority of other console FPS games.
Single player is a different story, even thought the voice acting is quite good, the story leaves much to be desired in terms of originality (though I do like the D.C. setting). The real draw back to the single player is it's core way of progression seems very dated, pull you buy the nose to the next objective and drop you in and out of missions with little context.
Of course the real shining star with the Conduit is the controls, which I'm glad to say is one of the best controlling FPS's I've ever played. So that paired with the great online makes for a very exceptional Wii title. After a full-scale alien attack on Washington D.C., suspicions arise as to the involvement of the U.S. government. (My Family loves it)
(Worst Wii game we have)
(Mildly interesting but not sufficient to justify paying for the software)
(extremely disappointed) I originally got this game without knowing how simplistic it was. I, personally, would have liked something a bit more difficult. I'm not going to rehash what's said in a lot of the other reviews about game play, etc.
What really struck me is how great it has been for my nephew. He's 5-years-old and has Downs. After playing a few times, he does it on his own and knows which instruments he has to strum and which he has to push buttons to blow horns. Its been fun for him and I think beneficial for his motor skills. He especially loves the dog suit, cat suit, and cheerleader instruments. He goes crazy with the dancing around. Rock on little man! Like a said in title my family loves it!! I wish there where more songs to chose from and maybe it is we just haven't opened them yet. We have a little over a dozen Wii games, and this is by far the worst of them all (had it since December 2008). It is absolutely no fun and there is no challenge to it at all. We've have folks ranging from 4 through 40 paly it and they all agree. The song selection seems rather limited too. I was really hoping this would be a family-friendly, easy to store alternative to guitar hero or rock band, but I was wrong. Very, very disappointed! I gave it 1 star for both "fun" and "overall," though it appears I miss clicked and the review form took it as a 2 star for fun. This should be freeware or at least available via WiiWare for less than 1000 points. It is really simplistic and Kindergartners would probably really enjoy it. Controls not consistently responsive. I bought this today and am already very bored with it. We are a musical family and were looking forward to wii music. After just a few times using this, my 11 year old is already saying that there isn't much to do. The conducting part is cute but it gets old fast. During the jams, it is hard to hear yourself if you are the harmony. Basically, you work with the beat. You can't change or affect the notes. Everytime you flick your wimote, you get a predetermined note. The bell part is a little like guitar hero..but it confusing and difficult.
After only 3 or 4 times with this, my kids don't want to use it anymore... money wasted..
sorry.. When it comes to music and rhythm games,Wii Musicstands in a class of its own. Unlike other music games, which penalize players if they don't play perfectly,Wii Musicis a musical playground where there are no mistakes. Here anyone can pick up and master the huge array of instruments available, through simple motions like strumming and drumming. Musicians in your band jam by simply playing their instruments to the beat of a song or by improvising to their heart's content. Play faster. Play slower. Skip a beat, or throw in 10 more. No matter what you do,Wii Musicautomatically transforms your improv stylings into great music.

Gameplay: Getting Your Band Together InWii Musicevery band has six members: Two play the main melody, two cover the percussion beats, one covers the bass groove and one uses the song's chords to support the melody. As a band, the six members often play their special parts at the same time, though each player can jam however and whenever he or she wants. Play all at once. Take turns in the spotlight. Pair up in creative ways throughout the song. You can bring the band to life by yourself, playing one part at a time-or with up to four players. See game mode below:
Solo Play: When you play by yourself, you can add one part at a time to arrange the whole song exactly how you want. The Tutes are on hand to back up your band in any parts you need filled.
Multiplayer: When in a band with friends, up to four people can be band members.
Wii Friends: Using WiiConnect24, you can send your jam videos to Wii Friends who own Wii Music. They can then watch your performance, modify it to their liking and send their jam videos back to you.
Tutes: Your Own Private Back-up Band When not playing with friends, you can invite jam masters known as Tutes to play with you. They'll join a session playing an instrument that each thinks is strong for a specific song. You can simply enjoy the musical camaraderie, or pick up instrument tips by watching them jam. If you choose to watch, the Tutes will show you lots of techniques for many of these instruments, then ask you to follow their examples. They'll start with the simplest techniques, then as you master each one, show you even more nuanced ones.Key Game Features:
