Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review
(Mlb 2k9)
『Its fun, but the Wii just doesnt have anywhere near the game play or graphics of Playstation or Xbox 360.』

(Just "too much" to do to be fun)
『Okay, so it may be fun but it takes so much play with the wii controllers that it's not fun. I'd rather play wii sports baseball-throw and hit. The controllers aren't intuitive so every time I want to throw the ball to home, I throw to second and every time I want to throw to first I throw to third. Not a great look by wii. I think this is the most disappointing game I've gotten on wii.』

(Great Game. Read the instructions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
『Many other reviewers think this game is very hard and frustrating. this is true but let yourself get used to the controls and you'll find that this game isn't to bad at all. The graphics are better than 2k8 which i think we are all happy to hear but hitting is still very difficult, especially when you are facing guys with 12 to 6 curve balls because it looks like a fastball untill it is right near the plate. After a few try though i got the hang of it. overall this is a good game just give it a try.』

(Don't Buy this Game (make 2K Sports regret their sloppiness))
『In a less cynical age (if one ever existed), when companies practiced quality assurance, this game would never have been released. The fielding and batting controls are imprecise and frustrating; even changing the batting contact slider difficulty to 100, presumably meaning I should hit virtually anything, I still struck out every third at-bat. The graphics are unacceptably poor--yes, it's the Wii, but my Gamecube and original Xbox, heck, my DREAMCAST WSB 2K2, featured better visuals! The 2008 player stats are missing for most players and wrong for others. Even at $19.99, this game is fan robbery that suggests 2K Sports just doesn't care about Wii owners. Buying it would only reward their lackluster effort. Don't be taken in by some reviews that rate this game a 6-6.5. Even with some nice motion captures, some interesting extras, and some good musical tracks, the core gameplay just isn't fun.』

(Horrible)
『I went out and bought this game the day it was released. I was a big fan on 2k8 for the wii and was expecting a similar but improved product. What I got was a great disappointment.

Hitting is nearly impossible in this game. You have to predict what box the ball is going to be pitched to, then line everything up. I don't understand what was wrong with swinging the wii remote like you did for 2k8

Pitching is easily but yet not. The breaking pitches break too much and end up bouncing and getting past the catcher. If you want a curveball down and in you need to aim it up and in so it will break and end up being down. That doesn't make sense to me.

None of the players statistics are correct. I don't understand how 2k sports can release a game and completely overlook the accuarcy of the statistics. Jason Bartlett of the Rays hit 37 home runs last year according to 2k9.

All in all if you are looking for a baseball game for the wii I recommend getting MLB 2k8. Don't be like me and waste your money on this product only to be disappointed in its quality.』

『MLB 2K9 Wii』
『Get ready to get your uniform dirty as you play ball on the Wii withMajor League Baseball 2K9by Take-Two. You'll recognize your favorite players asMLB 2K9captures such minute details as each player's unique batting stances, pitching windups, and swings. With new commentary and gameplay enhancements to all facets of the experience,Major League Baseball 2K9is a whole new ballgame.

Wii-Specific Controls
With the Wii's motion controls, you'll be able to really get into the game. Using the Wii remote, you can throw perfect strikes by mimicking a throwing motion rather than using a combination of joysticks and buttons. Live out your fantasy by using a high leg kick, and going through the entire windup to throw your pitch. If you want to add extra movement or speed, simply flick your wrist, and the game will reflect the change on screen.

When you're at the plate, swing away with the Remote and Nunchuk to try to hit a home run, or use a more level swing to slap one to left field. Where your hit ends up depends on your timing, speed, and angle, and with the Wii, you'll see that "batting practice" really pays off. The Wii's motion controls lets you feel like you're actually playing baseball, rather than just playing a baseball game.

Rosters Updated for the 2009 Season
The latest rosters are included in the game, so your favorite team will have all its 2009 players, just like in real life. Compare your own video game season to your team's actual season.

New Play by Play and Commentary and New Music
MLB 2K9brings with it the new broadcast team of Gary Thorne and Steve Phillips. The new team injects depth and insight into the game, and provides another level of realism. In addition, the game also has real-time crowd noise and other sound effects that will have you feeling like you're sitting in the bleachers.

A new soundtrack features the music of Judas Priest, Cheap Trick, Ted Nugent, Boys Like Girls, and more.

For baseball fans of all stripes,MLB 2K9delivers the goods. Different difficulty levels make the game accessible by both rookies and veterans, so everyone can join in the fun.

(duo jet gretsch gutiar for beatles rock band)
『I love this guitar, my hands are small so I love the use the of the smaller buttons.』

(Amazing detail Great Product)

It's awsome the details of this guitar. The Quality of every part of it blows your mind.
Great for collection

(refunds)
『Great product. Seller swindles you if you try to return an item; I was given this guitar as a gift and they bought it for Wii instead of xbox 360. I tried to exchange it to no avail and eventually returned it. They decided to take a $50.00 restocking fee. I'll never use this seller again. You've been warned.』

(Guitar Controller)
『If you have the Beatles rock bank game, I encourage you to purchase this guitar to play with. Any other is simply not worth the price.』

(Substantial size and weight, but didn't last long)
『Bought this along with RB2 bundle with standard guitar and drums. We wanted to have a guitar and bass playing simultaneously.

First, the good. It's larger and heavier than the RB guitar controller. For me that's a plus. I find the RB guitar's overall length to be too small to play easily. (I'm a 5'11" adult male.) The added length of the Gretsch makes the strumming and fingering easier. It just feels more substantial than the RB one.

Now, the bad. I've played with it for probably 30 hours over a week and a half and the strum bar just broke yesterday. A piece started rattling around in the guitar body so I'm sure one of the contact points for the strum bar snapped. I've been playing all bass parts on the songs. I play enthusiastically but I don't think roughly at all. Submitted a warranty return to EA and they're sending a new guitar so no problem getting it replaced. But still...

Overall I'd recommend buying this if you have the money.』

『As played by George Harrison, The Beatles: Rock Band Wireless Gretsch Duo-Jet Guitar Controller will feature an authentic chrome Bigsby bridge and tremolo bar, a fast, accurate strum bar, custom fret inlays, five-way chrome knob, and auto-calibration sensor to make syncing up with any TV a breeze.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review
(Awesome game)
『This is a good game. The controls aren't difficult to handle, and I personally think it's better than many other Sonic games. The graphics are clear and vivid. The only thing I didn't like was that it was too short.』

(Ninety minutes of gameplay for $40)
『This review is about as long as the game. My 10 year old spent $40 of his hard-earned cash on this game and was disappointed that he had conquered it in 90 minutes. I'm sure he had some fun playing it, but even he thinks it was not worth the money.』

(Just a Little...Strange)
『After a long 3 year break from Sonic games I decided on a whim to try out one for the wii. I used to be obsessed with the all their games released to gamecube and gameboy years before, but this game? Meh...
First I'll get the bad points out of the way. The overall plot is a little strange and strays far from the usual plots depicted in most of the Sonic series, as you probably know. In a way it almost seems to be mocking King Arthur, as if it was a bad roleplay of that time period. Plus the levels are way too quick- Most of them only take about 3 minutes to defeat, so you'll finish the adventure mode faster then expected. In fact, you can weasel your way through some of the levels by simply just jumping over the enemies and jiggling the wii remote randomly- So the "fun" just morphs into boredom. Also, some of the "missions" of the levels are too vague, so you'll have to discover how to defeat them on your own- which may take some trial and error. There was also lack of control in which direction you could move and didn't seem complete.
Now for the good parts. The whole concept of wielding a sword by using the wii remote is fantastic, and personally I thought the controls for different attacks were pretty well thought out and enjoyable. Though you could already do this with other games like Legend of Zelda, this game seemed to take it to another level. The music was also outstanding, as it always has been. The whole concept of this game was there, it just was dragged down by some flaws.
If you could get over the lack of control and intensity, you would probably find this game pretty good. It still doesn't compare to some of Sega's old masterpieces like Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Sonic Advance and all the oldies, but hey- It's still an interesting game.』

(Underrated game)
『I don't care what the critics say, this is a great game. The graphics are good, the level design is unique, and it has great replay value. The worst you could say about the game is that Sonic having a sword is kind of a gimmick, but it's a gimmick that works and is fun. I rate this game 87/100.』

(Good entertainment, but not long enough)
『I asked my kids for a review of this game, as my youngest just got it for a birthday present. The little suckers polished off $40+ of fun in only 2 hours!!!! The birthday boy loved it, but he always loves any game he picks. Older son said 'eh-- not long enough'.

As a parent, I say 'wait until you can buy used for cheap!' Compared to something like Super Smash Brothers Brawl, which has provided endless days of personal time for my wife and I, I feel cheated! $20/hr. of babysitting, punctuated with the typical mid-game brawl, was not worth it!』

『Sonic¿s storybook series, which kicked off with the hit Sonic and the Secret Rings, continues in a fast-paced, sword-filled action adventure! In Sonic and the Black Knight, Sonic is drawn into the rich, colorful world of King Arthur¿s Camelot by the granddaughter of the legendary wizard Merlin who asks him to harness the power of a sacred sword. The heroic hedgehog must fight off the fearsome knights, avoid obstacles and unravel the mystery of a villain who threatens the very existence of Camelot. Designed exclusively for Wii, Sonic and the Black Knight brings a new twist to Sonic gameplay withfrenetic swordplay, making full use of the intricate controls of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.』
『Experience the fun of Sonic's trademark frenetic action combined with the excitement of fast-paced swordplay inSonic and the Black Knight. Delve into the legendary realm of King Arthur as you explore 13 interactive environments in which you can scale castle walls, propel yourself over moats with a giant crossbow and more. Use your Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller to fend off dastardly enemies with your impressive swordplay, and gain access to special attacks and powers that will leave you better prepared to solve the mystery and save Camelot.

(Must have game for the Wii.)
『I was very excited when I received my game. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has been very fun and challenging. The game didn't take to long to gets the hang of. The more I play, the more I get better. The next best thing that would improve the game is if they would come to create one that can use 4 controllers.』

(Great 7 year old's birthday present, and the 37 year old loved it too!)
『Great Game!!! Fun and easy to learn. My son only had to have a bit of guidance from Dad, but all in all it has been a great game that he goes back to over and over again.』

(Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for Nintendo Wii)
『Now I am not a dedicated video gamer, but this is a pretty decent game. It was not very difficult to conquer, I believe it only took about 3 hours, but it has a fun story line and allows you to play with both Autobots and Decepticons. A feature I thought added to the overall enjoyability of the game was that a 2nd person can play as a "secondary weapon" helping the main character through the missions either by firing a cannon, or putting up a shield to protect, and also feeding him energy if needed. Overall a fun game, especially for the younger crowd.』

(Kinda stinks)
『Well I really thought this would be a much better game but it kinda stinks. I mean the graphics are good but in last Transformers game, the graphics were MUCH BETTER and the shooting isn't as good as the last one, and what really stinks about it is that YOU CAN'T TRANSFORM and in the last game you could. IT STINKS! The last thing I have to say about it is that you can be a Decepticon but you can't choose if you want to play in Decepticon story mode or Autobot story mode,WHICH YOU COULD CHOOSE IN THE LAST GAME. So the last game is much better then this game and this game is not so great. The game stinks I thought it would be much better.』

(Just plain dull)
『Unlike the half-decent XBox 360 and PS3 versions of the game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on the Wii was developed alongside the PS2 version by Krome Studios, and the end result is definitely for the worse. Here on the Wii, you don't get to choose to be on the side of the Autobots or Decepticons, and instead switch between the warring factions as the game's story dictates. There isn't much room for exploration, excitement, or even transforming to be totally honest, as the game ends up being nothing more than a dull movie tie-in. The game doesn't look too bad though, but the fact that the game itself is just so boring and repetitive ends up garnering your attention more so than anything else. Combine that with the fact that there are some pretty wonky controls, and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen for the Wii ends up being something that is best left for you to avoid, no matter how much of a Transformers fan you may be.』
『Become the ultimate Autobot or Decepticon in TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, the official game of one of 2009’s biggest blockbuster films. Unleash your power to determine the fate of Earth as the ultimate war rages across the globe. Every second counts as you experience TRANSFORMERS like never before!』

(enjoyed the game)
『It's not the classic Super Nintindo donkey kong of course, but its funn. I suggest you rent it rather than buy it though. It's a wee bit childish. Or I should say a Wii bit childish.(^_^)

Overall a relativly fun game but really couldn't get into it.』

(A little hard but fun)
『I had a lot of fun playing this game. It was a little hard on some levels and just wished there was more levels to play .Overall it was a fun game.』

(Wii Donkey Kong)
『Fantastic game, my 7 year old plays it but has to work at it - its not easy. The only downside to it is that it is a 1 player game.』

(Love it, lots of fun!!!)
『All I have to say, if you are in your thirties you have to love donkey kong, great game!』

(Entertaining and definitely a work out.)
『Nintendo has come along way with this product. Its enjoyable and addicting. In the beginning you might question why they incoporated a screen shot suggesting that if you are tired take a break. After about thirty minutes of playing this game, you'll want to take a break and rest a bit. Not to fear though, if you like the quest aspect, you will be anxious to get the controls back into your hands. I am definitely impressed and feel that Nintendo is on track with raising the heartrate. Yeah Nintendo, kudos.』
『Swing through the jungle in DK’s craziest adventure ever! You’ll run, jump, backflip, and punch your way to greatness—now with new controls on Wii. You’ll use the buttons and Control Stick on the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to move DK, and you’ll swing the Wii Remote controller to grab objects and clap with devastating power. When it comes time to box, you’ll punch with both hands! Explore one of the most imaginative worlds ever seen in a game, now with many areas partially redesigned to take full advantage of the new Wii controls. Newcomers will enjoy its fantastic jungles, dazzling caverns and wondrousseas for the first time, and fans of the original will discover new thrills along the way!』
Based on Hasbro's legendary Transformers property and one of the most anticipated films of 2009 from Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks Pictures,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallenthrusts players into a battle for supremacy across the globe as either Autobots or Decepticons to drive, fly, fight and blast their way through intense, pressure-packed levels.

Delivering extensive control, gamers can select from the largest, most diverse range of playable Transformers ever– each with distinct personalities, abilities and weaponry – and jump straight into action as they instantly switch between robot, vehicle and weapon modes to fight for the preservation or annihilation of all mankind. In addition, for the first time in the Transformers universe, players on the Wii can also fight the epic war between Autobots and Decepticons in explosive co-op action.

The Story
Set a few years after the defeat of Megatron in the first game/movie,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallenreveals that the threat from the Decepticons is in fact, far from ended. Since the time of the epic and apparently not so final battle between the two Transformer leaders, Decepticons have started popping up again all over Earth in alarming numbers. And now, a mysterious object from space seems destined to shift the balance of power and give the upper hand to the Decepticons.

Mission-centric Gameplay
Unlike Activision'sTransformers: The Game, released along side the original movie back in 2007,Transformers: Revenge of the Fallenrelies less on open-world gameplay and more on structured, but varied mission play. The variety in these missions comes from the fact that players can align themselves with either the Autobots or Decepticons, and that the available missions both parallel the events of the movie, as well as events unique to the game. During these missions players will be able to play as a variety of different Transformers from either side of the conflict, and with success in mission play will be able to unlock additional Transformers and earn points used to upgrade your selected faction. Playable characters include on the Autobot side: Optimus Prime, Iron Hide, Breakaway, Bumblebee, and Ratchet; and from the Decepticon side: Starscream, Sideways (a new character), Grindor, Long Haul, and Megatron. The game features a simple control toggle that not only allows for quick switching between mech, vehicle and weapon forms, but also allows for a more easy learning curve of the acrobatic moves from the movie.

Key Features

  • The Choice is Yours– Players can step into the shoes of their favorite Autobots and Decepticons such as Optimus Prime, Starscream, Bumblebee and Ironhide, along with new characters making their first appearance in a game. With two distinct campaigns that allow gamers to save or destroy the human race, gamers will unlock missions and be able to play them in any order they desire and with different characters for a whole new experience.
  • Outmaneuver Your Opponents– Instantaneously convert from a colossal robot to a dynamic land or air vehicle such as a diesel truck, sports car, military chopper or fighter jet. New, ultra-fluid transformations can be performed in-motion anytime and anywhere, allowing players to strategically propel through and decimate hordes of enemies with incredible agility.
  • Battle with Friends in Co-op Play– All new offline co-op gameplay lets you team up with a friend.
  • Unique Control Scheme- Gesture-driven control system exclusively for the Wii.
  • Demolish Your Enemies– Each Transformer can unleash a unique array of assaults on its enemies ranging from powerful missile attacks and rapid-fire chain guns to explosive energy blasts and visceral melee strikes, allowing players to pick from a variety of weapons and moves in their character's arsenal that deliver diverse gameplay in every brutal encounter.
  • Intense, Heroic Missions– Every second is precious as players drive, fly, fight and blast their way through gripping, pulse-pounding levels straight from the film and beyond to determine the ultimate fate of the world.

(Poor Charging capability)
『The charge does not last long and if you bump the controller it will disconnect the power breifly and then you have to remove the battery and reset the controller. THis is a real pain for any system but expecially for the WII since you are alwasy moving.』

(good bang for the buck)
『The product is a very good concept, charge without removing the jacket, this is the main reason I bought it. I had this for about 3 months, so far so good, but I think 1 of the 4 battery doesn't hold charge very well, plus the fact that if charge with the jacket on, it takes 4 times longer to fully charge, that's the reason I am giving a 4 stars instead of 5. I hardly play more than 2 hours at a time, it has never failed yet but I cannot comment on exactly how long the battery lasts.

I saw some folks getting all upset because they got a lemon, and some are very happy. I think we need to be realistic here, the way I see it, this is a good product and well worth the money. But it is made in China and we all know the quality control in China, if it doesn't work, return and exchange until you get a good working one.』

(As good as all the reviews!)
『I purchased this charger based on all of the reviews and it certainly lives up to them! I can charge the battery packs whether they are attached to the controllers or not. with or without the silicon covers. I have nothing but love for this thing!!』

(Questionable quality and safety)
『The charging base over-heated within the first 5 minutes after plugging in. It began to emit a strong electrical burning smell; and the plastic on top of the charging bay began to soften and bubble. This appears to be a cheapo product of questionable safety. Too bad! The product appeared to be nicely designed, and well priced. After my experience I feel it could be a potential fire hazard.

(Batterys don't Work)
『My product wouldn't work. After charging the batteries no one of them would actually work. I tried in multiple Wii-motes with no luck. I then tried to charge again but they all were "fully charged".

And I can't find where to find extre batteries....』

『The Wireless Charing Power Base sends a wireless charging signal directly to your Wii Remote every time you place it on the unit. You can charge up to 4 Wii Remotes simultaneously, even with silicone sleeves covering them. You can also charge the Rechargeable Battery Packs by themselves. The Power Base features LED charge indicators that tell you your Wii Remote's charging status. It is powered by an included 110/240V AC Adapter, so you no longer limited to charging near your Wii console's USB port. With 4 Rechargeable Battery Packs included, the Wireless Charging Power Base Quad is the perfect charging solution for your Wii Remotes.』

(SOME MORE GOOD OLD SONGS)
『This is much like the other "Rock Band" games. More good old songs executed nicely.』

(Deceptively Named)
『We have Rock Band 2 for the Wii and bought this 'Track Pack' thinking that it would be able to add to the songs available in Rock Band 2. That is certainly what the package suggests. Though it does say that Rock Band 2 is not required to use it, what it does not tell you is that IT DOES NOT WORK WITH ROCK BAND or ROCK BAND 2. It is a separate, stand-alone game.

So, if you play the songs here, you do not use your band from Rock Band 2. None of the songs can be added to Rock Band 2. If you want to use any of the songs on this disk with Rock Band 2, you must repurchase them online.

Very disappointing.

Of course the game itself is probably fine, if you don't have RB or RB2. But why would I not want these tunes in with the more full-featured RB2?』

(Great)
『I bought this game for a Father's Day present for my husband. He loves it! The songs are great and he really feels like a rock star!』

(Rock Band)
『After i play Rock Band II i prefered this game. I think Rock Band II has best songs』

(fun)
『This is a fun addition to Rock Band...just wish it had a few more songs.』

(Wii Fit Sleeve)
『For us in the tropics, this is a must have. I sweat on the Fit, and my wife mists on it. The sleeve should extend its life considerably.』

(nice and grippy)
『I bought this to improve the grip while wearing socks for the Wii balance board. This helps out tremendously. Now, you can wear socks and have warm feet without slipping off of the board.』

(Has Pro's and Con's)
『This is very nice and keeps the board clean. It's a cool color, but you can't really see it glow unless it is in pure darkness. Other than that, it works great to protect the board.』

(good product)
『I like it. Four of us use the board and it has helped to keep the board clean. The extra grip provided by the sleeve is nice.』

(Keeps it clean!)
『I shopped around for several different covers and styles for the wii fit balance board, and this one takes the cake. I don't feel like it changes the "feel" of the games like the bumpy/textured ones do, and it definitely feels stronger and more secure than other silicone sleeves out there (we checked out at least five similar-looking ones in the stores). It hasn't affected sensitivity at all, and best of all keeps the board clean and dust free (we live in a carpeted house).

The silicone is comfortable to sit on, and is especially useful for the strength exercises that involve putting your hands/ankles/elbows on the board. It is much more comfortable having the silicone cover there. The only downside is that it does slip a bit when you lean on it at an extreme angle, but this is rare (even in the warrior pose) and it is not enough to make me worried about slippage or rippage.

As for durability and fit, I was fairly careful when putting it on, and haven't had any need to remove it since then. It has "pegs" that fit into the holes in the bottom of the board, creating a snug and secure fit. While I have heard other reviewers talk about it ripping, I have used it quite vigorously, and my 200-lb husband also does all the exercises on it. I will update this review if anything does happen, but right now it's hard to imagine how mine would rip at all. I hope this helps!』

『CTA Digital WI-BSC Clear Silicone Sleeve for Wii Balance Board. With this stylish silicone sleeve, you can protect your Wii Balance Board from the wear and tear of every day use. The soft silicone material acts as an absorbent to lessen the impact of steps taken on the Balance Board, which is sure to happen with active game playing. This sleeve has cut-out openings in areas that correspond with the bottom of the Balance Board and front switch/ LED indicator, allowing easy accessibility. Perfect for preserving your Wii Balance Board in mint condition as it was when first purchased, this silicone sleeve is a must have for every Wii Balance Board owner.』

(Good Clean Active Fun)
『Excellent game. Requires lots of movements and coordination. Very good alternative compared to other Wii games out there. Requires more than just hand movements. Most other reviews here covered all the bases. Have to agree that the first one "Outdoor Challenge" was a bit better.』

(Great fun...great work out!)
『This game is so much fun. I played it for over an hour and I had to go and take a shower when I was finished. The kids love it just as much.

I wish you could buy just the game w/o the mat since we already own the mat from the original game.

Again...tons of fun for the entire family!』

(Good, not great, follow-up to Active Life Outdoor Challenge)
『I was looking forward to this game after being a huge fan of the first game in the series. I'm not sure if it's because I had such high expectations, but I was a bit let down.

The Good:

- There are a handful of games which really do introduce something new. Rock Climbing is an interesting game where you kneel on all fours and press different buttons on the pad to make your character climb up a rock wall. Inline Skate and and BASE Jumping are games where you need to use your feet to match a rapidly appearing pattern of buttons.

- Like its predecessor, most of the games are still a great workout. And because they're so fun (and you can compete against a friend or family member if you have a second game pad), you get exercise without realizing you're exercising.

- If you have Active Life Outdoor Challenge and need a new Mat, it's not a bad idea to get this game if for nothing else than the additional Mat. The new games, while they won't knock your socks off, are fun enough, adequate for extending the use of your mats.

The Bad:

- The mat seems very unresponsive at times. I'm not sure if this is a result of poor programming or just the nature of the mat, but this is the cardinal sin of Wii games.

- A lot of the games are simply uninspired. Extreme Challenge's Street Luge is really not much different than Outdoor Challenge's Pipe Slider. Double-Dutch is the same as Jump Rope (and the "Fusion" feature, where you need to follow an on-screen character's "challenges" is especially frustrating due to poor controller response). BMX is much like "Speed Roller".

- Games like "Wakeboarding" are simply outclassed by the far superior versions in Wii Sports Resort, both in terms of controller response and graphics.

- I suppose in an effort to make their game appeal to an older, teenage audience, they decided to make the characters and graphics "hip" by making them a bit more realistic and fit, with Little Orphan Annie-like circles for eyes. Worse, when you unlock the ability to use your Mii, they plop your cartoon Mii's head on top of a very fit young person's body. The result is creepy, to say the least! This is a case where they should have taken a cue from Nintendo, who is not shy about embracing and building a consistent cartoony world, which incidentally I haven't heard any teenagers I know complain about...

- The graphics are not very crisp, perhaps as part of their quest to make a more realistic, less cartoony world.

Long story short? It's worth getting if you have and loved Active Life Outdoor Challenge and want to get a slightly wider variety of games to play with the game mat you already have. It's definitely worth getting if you need to get an additional mat that's compatible with both Outdoor Challenge and Extreme Challenge.

On the other hand, if you don't already have Outdoor Challenge, I strongly recommend getting that instead of this.』

(The first one was better)
『I pre-ordered Extreme Challenge because I liked Outdoor Challenge so much. Seems like the creative minds who worked on Outdoor Challenge were out of ideas for this one. The games are pretty similar to each other and involve a few basic actions: jumping on the mat, stepping on mat buttons to do tricks, or sitting on the mat and pressing buttons. The mat itself is an annoying peripheral since you have to find a place to store it when not in use. I don't get why they didn't just make the game Balance Board compatible so we could have one less Wii thing to keep around. Exercise-wise, if you like jumping a lot and have good knees, you might be able to get a workout. Again, Outdoor Challenge is better here--more variety and not so hard on the knees.』

(My new favorite way to burn up the calories and have FUN doing it!)
『I try to make all my Wii game purchases ones that combine fitness with the wii game system and have wondered why they didn't yet have a major calorie scorcher with a game that was all about fun...

First let me say I wear a Bodybugg which accurately measures daily caloric burn...even down to seconds that I can see displayed on a wrist unit...I only mention this so you know I base my review not on perceived exertion but on true measured caloric burn.

And, for those who don't care to lose any weight (how I envy you!) I will also address the game aspect...bear with me...

There have been active games (Golds Gym Cardio, Sports Active) that burned good calories but got redundant.

There have been games (Sports Resort, for example) that weren't meant to be fitness games but were very active and fun but, well could still stand room for improvement on both active fun and caloric burn in spite of them being great games...

There were fitness games that burned few calories (Wii Fit was great for balance but expert reviews and my own measurement showed low caloric burn, for example)

enter Active Life Extreme Challenge. Finally...Fun. Very fun. And active. VERY active. And original!

While I enjoyed the first Active Life, they have kicked it up a notch in very unique games and a whole lotta sweat equity goin' on in order to do them.

FUN: Okay, forget calorie burn. We want fun in a game afterall, don't we? That's why they call it a game...bottom line, that's what everyone wants..Because the games they chose were so unique, you get something very original. And because they take these unique games to challenges that involve tricks and jumps and really thinking about game play, it's addictive. So many of the other active games I've bought contain repeats I have on other games...tennis...basketball..., shooting at something, jumping over something...yadayadayada...this packs a punch in originality with fun and heartpumping anyone in the family can play such as BMX biking, street luge, rock climbing, skate boarding, wake boarding, kite surfing, inline skating, acrobatic double dutch...

and the games ARE FUN. BIG FUN. Even if you don't care about activity and only buy it to challenge yourself and have fun...fear not...YOU WILL. We got the game several days ago and have worn ourselves out playing on into the night and sweating like crazy doing it but not caring...the games really take you in and challenge you and you don't even realize you are jumping around like crazy and getting your heart pumping like mad doing it. You just can't stop playing and laughing!

CALORIC BURN: Major. Like a workout dvd. I burned the same amount in the same amount of time as my aerobics class. But way better, I burned more because I didn't want to stop playing the games and time flew by...I wasn't thinking about making myself burn calories, I was having fun and the caloric burn was simply secondary. There is a reason, for example, that "Rocky" was seen getting in shape by jump roaping. The acrobatic double dutch will kick your heart rate into premium health and fat blasting at warp speed. But that's also one of my favorite games on here...especially getting into the fancy footwork once you get good at it.

LEVELS: There are four levels, from beginner to expert. You'll challenge yourself without boredom and this also allows anyone in your family to participate. But what you do in the games also changes as you get better at it. So, though there are less games than the first Active Life, they are enough fun and add enough challenges that the limit actually seems to make me want to play them more...I gain skill in each one and get greater challenges. So while the less choices of games may bother some if compared to the first Active Life, I personally like these better and they get me moving far more...

GRAPHICS: The Mii characters are cartoony-realistic. Think "Speed Racer" type renderings. The backgraounds are vivid and detailed and colorful and add visual "umph" to whatever you are playing, as does the interaction with the crowd and cheering when you do well. There is a lot to look at in addition to what you are doing in the game and I personally like that...it keeps it interesting for m. They left out no details here...When, for example, you do your kite surfing, you'll do so over the Pacific Ocean...then travel to the Grand Canyon for other gaming fun...you'll find yourself on a city street for your skate boarding tricks complete with storefronts, cars driving in the background, crowds gathering and milling about...nice! The detail transcends into what your character on the screen says as you play as well. When I nearly killed my street luger, she was yelling "nooooo!!!" which was rather amusing. She also said "drats!" or "darn" or something when I did poorly in rock climbing once she reached the top. And I made her scream in terror a few times. Nice touch to realism.

HOW IT WORKS:

BMX biking: here your feet are on the mat and you use the wii remotes. I chose the version where you run in place in order to accelerate the bike. You'll have fun and glow with sweat doing this one! It's a good mental challenge as well thinking about all you need to do with the remote (handlebar) and lower body so you get really into it. The graphics of your biking tour keep things interesting and fun as well. You'll do some jumps too.

Skate boarding, wake boarding, kite surfing: lots of jumping here which increases your heart rate some, but it's just dang entertaining even if it didn't hold that aspect because you must concentrate not just on jumping, but performing tricks to score. Again, this mental aspect brings in the fun and conentration. It took me a spell to master doing some of these tricks correctly to score well.

Rock climbing: You'll kneel on the mat and twist left and ride to use your hands...this actually is a good core strength and toning move as well as a nice break from some of the other heart pumping games on here! You have to get the rhythm down and you'll really work the upper body and have fun trying not to fall off the cliff and grab the rocks with both hands if you almost do.

Acrobatic jumping rope: you time your jumps and crack up remembering this old school version of entertainment...but this time you don't get tangled in any ropes if you do mess up and you'll fall without pain, unlike what used to happen back on the blacktop behind your school at recess. Once you get good at making it past fast ropes and slow you start warp speed tricks and they are fun.

You'll also sit on the mat and raceboard down the streets, directing your board with your hands aka "street luge". This is where my mii began screaming "nooooo!" as I accidentally steered her too close to the wall. She never crashed though.

Bottom line, this is my new favorite Wii game to come home to and burn off everything I ate that day! It takes gameplay into active calorie scorching so it is sure to please anyone in the house...BUT...that said...there are some things I would change:

NEGATIVES: All my negatives have to do with the mat. I really wish they could master a way of putting gloves on your feet and hands or something to find your moves but free you from the chains of mat play. I didn't like it on the first Active Life and I still don't. First, you have to concentrate on foot placement as much as you do about what you are doing during the game. Missteps cost you and they WILL happen, especially in such active games. I also thought for sure they'd make this mat bigger after so much bumping into your team players in the first game but it's the same...you simply can't put two adults on this mat to play the game together as commercials might have you believe...two size 5 females will still look like they are roller derby chicks knocking each other about trying to play on such a tight "playing field"...just don't even go there. Unless that is part of the fun to ya, I guess...

Plus, since we play many other Wii games, there is the storage issue of the mat, and having to take it out and put it away for this one.

And don't even get me started about what happens if a cat or dog enters the room and walks across the mat, or what happens since you can also use it for controls so you may wind up starting or stopping something you didn't mean to if you step wrong.

And, a minor detail: I preordered this game before it's release and there wasn't an option, at that time, to buy the game without the mat on Amazon...I thought it may be an improved mat so I bought the full system. Now that it's released, there is also the cheaper version without the mat if you already own it from the first version. Since there really is no change, no need to buy the mat+game package if you do have a mat. So now I have 2 mats...

CONCLUSION: In spite of my "not loving" the mat aspect of the game, it's originality, big dose of fun, and huge score on the activity meter make this a new family fave. And I will admit it's a nice change to set the wii remote and nunchuck down sometimes and simply do footwork, even if I gotta land on the mat just right.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review
(don't buy with rod and reel combo)
『I wanted to play this game for a while before I made a review to give a fair review.
First of all, I bought the game because I like games bundled with little toys. I really enjoyed Sega Bass Fishing, as well as the Bass Pro Shops Fishing.
That said, this game is in another class. First problem I had was with the rod attachment. Half the time you're driving the boat, and it feels awkward with this attachment. Secondly, the nunchuck cord kept getting tangled. I ditched the attachment within the first hour. OKAY, now we're talking! The game's objective is different from any other fishing game. You must catch fish by going to a designated bubble point and fish. You must have the right bait, because if you don't the fish will look at the bait with question marks around it's head. So you switch baits until the fish eyes pop out and exclamation points appear around the fish. You reel in the fish, the nunchuck cord still gets tangled and you reel the fish in. There is a problem with this process at the later levels though. You must move the wiimote the same way as the on-screen diagram. The only problem is the wiimote must be turned sideways and then you shake it to the left or right. Moving the wiimote sideways and to the left is a very awkward and uncomfortable movement. After you reel the fish in, you drive back to your starting point and drop the fish off.
Driving the boat is another BIG problem. you must direct the boat by way of wiimote. the wiimote only turns the boat like 45 degrees. So what happens is you crash into barriers. Also, when you back the boat up, the wiimote seems to turn the boat the wrong way.
As the game goes on, you can unlock your Mii, but your Mii cannot be used in Tournament Mode, only in the Free Fishing Mode :-(
Overall, graphically very pleasing, but with all the aforementioned problems, the fun factor suffers.』

(fun fishing)
『This game is fun, after you figure it out. Directions are a little vain. also no direction on how the fishing pool goes together. Once you get everything figured out on your own. It's a fun game. If it was not for that I would have given it a 5 star.』
『It is a whole new species of fishing game! Experience whacky and funny fishing as you race your motorboat to capture the best fishing holes and reel in the biggest pile of fish. But hurry! You’ll have to speed back to the finish line before time runs out to claim victory!』
