(This is not my favorite game.)
(Another lame cash-in attempt)
(great game!!!)
(Good solid gameplay - could have cleaned up the language) This is a wonderfull game, good graphics, story, controlls...
The controls are very challenging and makes you feel as if you are actually iron-man!!! it is a short game though. And it has some bad language, but in overall it is a great game!! i recomend this game to absolutlly anyone!! I got this game after the Iron Man movie, I thought it would be like 20 missions. I was able to finish it in two days though. If you get a new iron man suit it is the same as the other suits. There's no check points. There's no free play. And you cant get the villain suits like iron monger.
I wouldn't recommend this game because of low replayability.
Whenever there's a big budget movie on the horizon, especially one adapted from a comic book, you can almost always bet on a video game tie-in being somewhere in the distance as well. Well, here's Iron Man, and yes, it is nothing else but another lame cash-in attempt that fails to do its comic and movie counterparts any kind of justice. Playing as 'ol shellhead, you take down wave after wave of baddies, with an occasional boss battle thrown in now and then for good measure. Naturally, what kills Iron Man is the fact that the game as a whole is a tedious bore. You have objectives, you take down the bad guys, etc, etc. The whole game is just so repetitive that it pretty much kills anything good about it. Combine this with some frustrating controls and disappointing graphics (and some just plain awful cut-scenes), and you get what we have here. There are some good points to be found, including the fact that the moments of flying around are pretty okay, there's unlockable extra armors, and film stars Robert Downey Jr. and Terrance Howard provide their own voices as well. All in all, whether you are a fan of the comic or the film, the Iron Man video game may be worth a look, but in the end, the game is best left on the shelf. Like i said it is a great game but there is alot of swearing and i dont like that. Other wise it is a great game the graphics arent bad but there not amazing either. I agree on the freedom thing you really dont get that much freedom but i can deal with that. Bought this for my son for his birthday - here's the pros and cons: PROS * Solid gameplay, with great graphics and sound * Flight controls take some getting used to (really a two hand exercise) but doubt any kid who spends much time on the Wii will have trouble adapting * Gives a real sense of being in the movie and being Iron Man
CONS * The language gets a bit rough for the "mild" language rating - always a rough point for me with games with an obvious kid audience - would have been soooo simple to eliminate the numerous questionable language moments from the heroes and villians in the game... For this point alone I am selling it back on ebay. Let's be real - we don't need "realistic" swearing in unrealistic comic book games. * limited ability to fly around - part of the fun of being a hero in these games is just flying around and being "super" * controls could have a been a bit simplified - but maybe this was to appeal to the older crowd so it wasn't too simple... Certainly livable.

(To all of who are wondering...)
(best DBZ game so far)
(Wow, Best Dragonball Z (game ever especially on the Wii))
(Great Game.) Game is great for any DBZ lovers out there. I have a hard time pulling of all the moves using the wii remote and there are some timing issues with movements that slow the game play down. But all in all the game rocks and is good for hours of entertainment. If you're getting it for the online play don't bother the lag is unbearable. ...Yes this game works very well with the wii remote. I just had to say this because I was wondering the same before I bought the game.
IF YOURE A FAN OF DRAGONBALL, DRAGONBALL Z, AND DRAGONBALL GT THEN THIS IS A MUST GAME. IT IS A FANS DREAM GAME! this game has like everything there is about the entire dbz universe its non stop fun but the online play is forever lagging though but any dbz or fighting game fan should pick this up What can I say? This is an awesome game. It has tons of characters, better graphics, fun Wii controls, team battles in story, night and day stages, play as bad guys on story, better customizing system allowing you to ad flight ability to Dragonball characters who can't fly, Better character selection screen with better drawings, and better music. Put all of these things together you get a great game that you know that once you beat it you'll come back again and again. Overall this is a great and fun fighting game for the wii. Its inovative. and sure gives ya a great workout too and i wasnt even looking for a workout lol. but other than that. This is one of the better games for the wii. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 takes the lightning-fast fighting, flying and action featured in its predecessor and takes it to a whole new level with exciting new features, such as access to more than 150 playable characters, enhanced fighting techniques, and over 20 different battle stages. In Budokai Tenkaichi 3, different stages will occur in daytime or nighttime, with the presence of the moon allowing certain characters to transform and gain powerful new attacks! The Wii remote's new control system lets players easily mimic signature moves and attacks as they are performed in the animated series and, for the first time in Dragon Ball Z history, the Wii platform will feature online gameplay, connecting DBZ fans around the country. (Works, but cannot ever get 480p out of it)
(Nothing wrong with it, just not too impressed)
(Works but...)
(Improvement over standard cables) A cheap and working alternative to expensive named brand hd component cables. Its a steal and looks lovely on my tv. Great Product! Cable works with my Wii and my Sony Bravia, but I cannot get anything to come out at 480p, it always displays at 480i. Even though my menu settings in the Wii are for 480p, it just never seems to transmit that...or at least that is what my TV is reporting. I did read some other reviews where other people had this same problem and said it was the cable. I've also read where that somehow the cable tells the Wii that it is capable of carrying 480p and to "unlock" tha feature. I don't know if this is true or not. I guess I could do a test with the original cable that came with the Wii for I have yet to take that out of the packaging.
Regardless, the cable works with my Wii, just not as advertised. I also agree with other reviewers where they complain that the cable end is "bundled" and difficult to split off is you have the video part going into your TV and you want the audio part to go into your AV receiver. I had to get some additional cables at Radio Shack in order to make that happen.
I wasn't expecting too much when I found out the Wii itself is limited to 480p. I wasn't disappointed. Looks the same to me, some people swear it's sharper, causing the curved objects to have more of a jagged edge, but I don't think that's true. It may also be that I can't tell. Overall, I would say to get this cable only if you are running short on composite inputs on your TV. The difference between component and composite is definitely noticeable on HD screens and this cable does it's job. But, it's kinda flimsy and I had to kind of bend the wires and twist the connectors sometimes to get the right colors to come out on the tv. It's only 480p but it does sharpen the picture on my hdtv(Samsung ln46a550). I belive it's worth it. If you're connecting your Nintendo Wii to a progressive scan television, then these component cables are a must have. The Nintendo Wii is capable of two graphic resolutions, 480i for basic TVs, and 480p for progressive scan TVs. The switch to progressive scan gaming on the Wii will result in a marked improvement in overall image quality, and you can only enable 480p on the Wii with a set of Wii Component Cables. customer 's review (Worth your $[...])
(My Word Coach)
(Fun and educational!)
(Fun for word-nerds...does not make the best use of the Wii interface.)
(expand your vocabulary) I'm too scared to ever actually use the new words that I've learned from this game for fear of using them incorrectly and sounding like an idiot, but My Word Coach has extended my vocabulary. It's fun, addictive, personalized to each individual player, and definitely worth the $[...]. Of all the Wii games I've played, this one is my... second favorite. My Word Coach offers a fun and challenging way to increase your vocabulary in addition to checking out what level verbage you already use. It would be an excellent way to help your children learn while playing a fun game. Good game that makes learning new words fun! I was surprised at how quick it came up with words I didn't know, and I really liked the way it worked those words back into the next set of games played, as a method to ensure you learn them. For the price, a great gaming value with longevity! If you love vocabulary based games and go to sites like freerice often, you will find this game fun. It offers you a choice of instructors and games. You have a required quota for the day and your instructor will let you know how you're doing. In one game you have to choose between 2 words based on the meaning, which is what we play the most. In another you fill in the blanks of a word by spray painting the letter on the screen. This game is a bit frustrating because it's difficult to spray paint the letter with the remote and you lose points if you take too much time. There are some other games too. Playing it as a multi-player game is fun, only my kid scored higher than me just because she is better at using the Wii-mote. I ended up clicking the wrong answer sometimes just because the interface is not as responsive or intuitive as some other Wii games (like Super Mario Galaxy, for instance).
Overall the game is fun but is not really designed to teach you usage of new words. It is built more like a testing game to test your vocabulary. This is a great way to brush up on your vocabulary. And also learn lots of new words that you never knew. The interface of the game is very engaging and some of the games are very entertaining. It's great that there's lots of games to play solo, as well as with a friend. This game is great for all ages. Would you like to express yourself more clearly and with confidence? Want to improve your vocabulary in a straightforward and entertaining way? In your daily life, knowing the right word can make all the difference, and My Word Coach offers a fun and challenging way to improve verbal skills through a series of engaging activities and exercises. ESRB Rated E for Everyone My Word Coach, developed in collaboration with linguists, helps players improve their verbal communication and vocabulary in a fun way. Practice with six different exercises to choose between. Players can input missing letters from words, spell out the answers to various definitions, choose which word matches a particular definition, form specific words with Scrabble-like tiles, and more. Three levels of difficulty are available, and the game includes a built-in dictionary of over 17,000 words. Two of the games can be played multiplayer over wireless and five multiplayer games can be accessed when linking the Wii and DS. The data of up to three different players can be saved. customer 's review (Ok for people who don't mind repetiton.)
(Great for young kids.)
(Ok Game)
(Just okay) We gave this game to our (nearly) 5 year old son. He loves it. There were some parts of it I liked too like the background story in between the game segments (levels) fit right with the Atlantis Squarepantis movie and made the game feel cohesive.
What I didn't like so much is it had a lot of the games that were repetitive which to me = boring. But my son doesn't seem to mind, so that is why I gave it as many stars as I did. The game wasn't for me after all, it was for him. I purchased this for my 6-year old, who loved the game and was able to play it on his own (big plus!) Normally he's bored by games within ten or fifteen minutes, but we had to pull him away from this one. The best aspect of this game for me was that it was actually non-violent. The worst you see is throwing ice cream at "tanks" that shoot mint chocolate chip at you! There were also different types of play on different levels, which I think played into my son not getting bored.
The one con for this game is that it is not intense enough I don't think for older kids who are used to fighting games. The Wii version of this Spongebob game is OK. Nothing great. I should of rented it rather than buy it. The kids were done with it in a day or two. Our children love Spongebob, but this game is just okay. The major drawback on it (and most of the Wii games we've purchased) is that they are advertised as 1-4 player games, when in fact, it's basically a 1 person game with maybe several small games in the main one where you can play more than 1 player. This is frustrating for a parent that may purchase a Wii game for more than 1 child--and they are expensive! I wish these manufacturers would start labeling the games more honestly; like "1 player, with some multi-player options". Disappointing. In SpongeBob's Atlantis SquarePantis, SpongeBob and Patrick stumble upon the lost magical amulet that will take them to the legendary city of Atlantis. Players will join them and the rest of their Bikini Bottom pals as they ride in a magical bus for a soaking new adventure. Hoping to uncover the treasures of Atlantis in order to fulfill SpongeBob's dream of finding the "World's Oldest Bubble," players will control whether the city brings everything he desires, or if Plankton's evil plan will burst his bubble. (Amazing accessory)
(Great, unless you use the silicone sleeve)
(good, but)
(excellent) While so many people are interested in the Nintendo Wii, there are those gamers who want a safer way to take a more control over the Wii Classic Controller, not the actual Wii-Mote that comes with the Nintendo Wii. This Wii Classic Controller Grip is a safe and secure way to have a steadier grip, while playing your favorite games that you download from the Wii's Virtual Console like Super Mario 64 and the original Legend Of Zelda. Still, you can also use the grip to make it easier to play Wii titles that you can use the Wii Classic Controller like Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Mario Kart Wii. All in all, if you have an Wii Classic Controller, and you want to have a better sense of direction, that I really recommend this addition for your Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console.
Price: B 1/2+
Quality: B
Overall: B 1/2+ When i first bought my classic controller it was difficult to use because it felt as if it was moving around on me while i was playing. It was also difficult to keep track of the wii remote at the same time. This product has given me so much more control over my gaming experience and i am not messing up my gameplay by going the wrong direction with the analog sticks. It is much better to play virtual console games with than using a gamecube controller, and now that i can hold the classic controller in place it has brought even more opportunities to the gameplay experience. I would highly recomend getting this for anyone that has a classic controller, but if you do choose to get one, get it at a local gaming store. I only paid 2 dollars for mine. A nice idea, however I wish I had noticed that you cannot use this on a Wii controller in a silicon sleeve. When attached to a "naked" controller, this works great, as advertised. it fits really nice and makes holding the controller and using it a lot easier. but mine must be defective or something, because i can't figure out how to clip the wiimote to it with a darn. this is such a great product! i always wanted to play games with the classic controller but i never could for very long because my hands would get sore, but this extension makes it so much better! this controller is now my favorite and i use it for anything i can. The Classic Controller Grip provides the best possible experience while playing with the Classic Controller on the Wii. The ergonomically designed grips give the Classic Controller a less strenuous feel, providing long lasting comfort during intense retro-gaming sessions. The Wii Remote Mount clips onto the back of the Classic Controller allowing for basic menu navigation while keeping the remote and cord conveniently out of the way during gameplay.
