(Backyard Baseball 2009)
(A lot of Fun) backyard baseball is really fun!you can unlock loads of new characters, throw different pitches, and loads more!if i could,i'd give it more than 5 stars. bought this game because of the decent reviews and was told it plays like Wii sports baseball. LET ME WORN YOU NOW!!!
This does not even come close to the three inning game on wii sports. The pitching and hitting suck so bad! you can just sit there and "flick" the controller as it instructs and have no fun! YAY!! dont buy this game!!! not only do the kids love this game, but so do the adults when they are done playing it. My son loves this game! We are big fans of all the Backyard sports games. I bought this game the other day just because my nephews were coming over. But it's actually a lot of fun, I am hooked. It's simple to play, but once you get pitching down scoring drops quickly. There are a good amount of pros around 2-3 per team, but not full rosters and the rest are neighborhood kids. Fielding is very simplistic and there is no online play. However it's definitely a pitching hitting game and both are a lot of fun. You can go through a 16 or 32 game season to unlock some more pro players and parks.
I would have given it a perfect 5 if it had online play. If you are looking for an in depth baseball game with a lot of strategy this isn't for you, if you loved wii baseball but wish it had more, this game is great.
Knock one out of the park with Backyard Baseball 2009. Play hardball with David 'Big Papi' Ortiz and other MLB superstars as kids: A-Rod, Jeter, Ichiro, Griffey, Howard, and many more. Choose your favorite MLB team or create your own. Backyard Baseball 2009 features season&single game options, create-a-player, Home Run Derby mini-game, and unlockables. With outrageous game play and awesome power ups mixed in with authentic baseball action, Backyard Baseball 09 is the most fun you can have outside the ballpark.

In stock soon. Order now to get in line. First come, first served. customer 's review (Big disappointment for Spyro fan)
(The Legend of Spyro: A New Disappoinment)
(The Legend Of Spyro)
(More action then the original)
(good game, but nothing special for the wii) First of all, terrible acting. I don't know why Elijah Wood agreed to these terrible lines and weak, unimaginative plot. Billy West as Sparks is just annoying. The audio is badly recorded with some characters being very loud while others are difficult to hear.
Next, almost no puzzles (which is what I loved about the first ones), but tons of melee battles that are just difficult enough that they're more irritating than fun. And the graphics just aren't cool enough to make up for it. Terribly unimaginative level design, with the few puzzles just eating your time rather than flexing your brain.
Then the scenery is quite dark and has very bad camera angles. Every start point has long and annoying cut scenes that will have you ready to throw your Wii-mote and nun chuck in frustration every time you mess up and have to start over. The controls aren't that great or intuitive either.
In the end, if you do decide to play this game, Save yourself some pain; rent first. And make sure you have a game cube or classic controller, because I just didn't have any fun at all with the Wii-mote/nun chuck. I do not like this game and I haven't even finished it yet. Insomniac did the Spyro games the best. I disagree with the reviewer who said the games went downhill when they migrated to the GameCube. I think they started going downhill with Enter the Dragon. That game was a major disappointment for me because while it did have mini-games and sub-levels there was only one world to explore. I liked A Hero's Tail better but it still wasn't up to par with the titles for the original PlayStation. This game is just boring! Every five seconds you're confronted by enemies and there is nothing to collect aside from the gems which allow you to refill your magic, health and upgrade each type of breath. The game is so dark you can't make out any detail on much of the scenery and Spyro isn't the mischievious little purple pyro I love(d). Instead he tells you "It's okay we can try again." or "I better try harder this time." And Sparx talking is dumb. I don't like that much either. I honestly think that if there are going to be any more Spyro games after Dawn of the Dragon they should be done by Insomniac and if Insomniac doesn't want to do them anymore then just leave it at that, no more games. Universal/Sierra/Vivendi successfully ruined this series of games and took the fun out of them.... at least for me. I bought this for my 12 year old, daughter. She is fascinated, challenged and frightened by it, all at the same time. This is her first experience with Wii. It took her a few hours and at first it was a bit frustrating to figure out all the different aspects of the game, and how to use the nunchuk to conrol Spyro. She has it down now and even though she knows how to control Spyro, it still is challenging, fun, and frightening. I've played this game for about 10+ hours so far and love it. The controls are pretty good. The camera movement works better then other games I've played. And this game is packed full of action. The only warning I would give is that if you've only played some of the original Spyro games then you'll be in for a shock. This game has almost all fighting and no puzzles or races. The early Spyro games were just the opposite. But I actually prefer the game this way then with a bunch of silly races or puzzles. This is a really good game, but there are no special features that utilize the wii. You might as well play this on a gamecube with the traditional controller. Everyone's favorite little purple pyro is back in the first ever Spyro installment for the Wii, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night. Spyro's ultimate objective is to prevent the resurrection of the Dark Master, and whether he succeeds is up to you! Take on the role of Spyro the dragon and leap, fly, slide, bash and burn your way through 13 levels of intense action and eight vicious enemy bosses. The Legend of Spyro: Eternal Night offers visual enhancements, incredible battle animations and even more immersive background graphics - travel through fire, ice, jungle, caverns and more! This is no simple battling action game - Eternal Night also offers an array of challenging puzzles which require Spyro's new power, and not just a little brainwork, to get through. Finally, turn the whole game on its ear with a whole new power, the ability to bend time at will! Dragon Time lets you dodge attacks, solve tricky time-based puzzles and give Spyro a whole new edge! Amazing new graphics and background art ESRB Rated E10 for gamers aged 10 and up Rerations < The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night >

customer 's review (Good, but not like I'd hoped)
(very fun game,)
(You need a sense of humor in order to like it)
(Good for kids not so much for adults)
(Best Party Game For The Wii) I am a big fan of the Warioware GBA games, so I understood the format of this game coming into it. Nintendo has done a great job of exhausting the creative uses for the "form baton" and "balance stone." The story line is very, very thin. A few of the micro games don't work as smoothly as they should, and a few are unnecessarily ugly looking. I was hoping for something my younger children might be able to enjoy, but the rating is consistent with the content. Finally, I cannot believe that there is not an option to challenge each microgame on its own -- that's a primary feature! wario ware touched game used full utilization of the touch screen. now wario ware smooth moves uses full utilization with the wii remote. great multiplayer game without the need to use 2 wiimotes, new characters, cool music and creative micro and mini games. just like any wario game in the wario ware series, wario ware smooth moves is a game that requires you to complete a small challenge within a couple of seconds, when you complete that, it goes to another random challenge. the game uses, i think 19 forms. 19 ways to hold the wii remote and each form is explained as a micro game with a new form comes up. there is one downside. normally in wario ware games, there was a mode where you can play each game individually over and over again to complete a high score, for instance, it would get faster and faster. but this isnt the case in wario ware smooth moves, instead you pick an individual micro game and then choose the speed you want it at and then it will play it 3 times. This game can be amazingly fun if you make it that way. This game contains many stupidly funny games, but if you don't have a great sense of humor this game is just flat out stupid. I loved it but I would also say it is overpriced. Wait until its $10-20. This game is a bunch of short races. Now too much other then that. Kids love it. As an adult I don't get why. They play for hours. If you're looking for a great party game, this is the game for you. It's got many mini-games that are perfect for passing along the wii-mote during a party.
The graphics are not stellar, but that's not the point. I was surprised with how many different ways you use the wii-mote in the game. The elephant is a particular favorite.
The re-playability value is also part of this game's charm.
FEATURES- WarioWare: Smooth Moves Wii The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky it could only be made with the latest technology: the Wii Remote controller! Wario stumbles into an old building called the Temple of Form. Inside he finds a mystical treasure called the Form Baton. There are many ways to hold and move the baton (called forms) and legend has it that if the holder follows the forms he can overcome any challenge. With this discovery the form craze spreads and soon everybody is doing their best to master the moves.* Revolutionary Fun: With hundreds of microgamesthis game is just as wild as youd expect from the name WarioWare but the game play has been revolutionized. Under Warios tutelage and with the help of the Wii Remote players will swing spin and squat their way to victory. * Tons and Tons of Microgames: With more than 200 lightning-quick microgames and controls that range from scribbling to flailing WarioWare: Smooth Moves takes interactive gaming to a whole new level. All players need is confidence a Wii Remote and their best moves. * Off-Screen Party: With games that are as much fun to play as they are to watch people play WarioWare: Smooth Moves brings the party to its feet. Its hilarious for players and audiences alike. -- SPECIFICATIONs ---------------------------------------ESRB Rating : E+10 for Very Young TeenGenre/Category : PuzzleSystem : WiiNumber of Players : 1www.nintendo.com Rerations < WarioWare: Smooth Moves >

customer 's review (Remapping button's system, just stinks)
(Old School Rail Shooter)
(I'm selling mine right now.)
(What a shame...)
(What happened?) What a shame...
The game is good, if you're like me, a House of the Dead's fanatic and a co-op lover, and a resident evil player.
But, just like RE4 (wich is a excellent game), you can't configure your buttons freely. So, you can't make the Z button to be the trigger. Only three controllers options, but stuck.
How difficult can be do a code to remapping buttons, even when you can do this since the SNES times ?, come on CAPCOM !!
50 bucks for this... nooo Unlike the main games of the Resident Evil series, "Umbrella Chronicles" for the Nintendo Wii is a rail shooter, not unlike House of the Dead or Time Crisis. It's not unprecedented, though; there have been several Resident Evil rail shooter games before in the form of the "Resident Evil: Survivor" sub-series.
Umbrella Chronicles goes back to various points in the series - from Resident Evil Zero to Resident Evil 3 - revisiting scenes with established characters. The characters that can be used are dependent on what section of the story is being played. For example, in the early sections based on Resident Evil Zero, the characters from that game (Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen) can be chosen. However, the actual characters chosen don't have a huge impact on the game, since the entire thing is done from a first-person perspective; the only attack that lets you see your character is the "counterattack", which is unique for each character and briefly zooms out the camera to play a short cinematic before getting back to the first-person action.
The gameplay itself should be familiar to any rail shooter fan. Basically, it's a first person shooter minus the use of your legs - your character moves around automatically, and you, the player, are only responsible for shooting the things in their way. Using either the Wii remote or the Zapper accessory, the player moves the reticule around and targets enemies on the screen. There are a few different weapons in the game; the infinite-ammo handgun, the powerful but slow shotgun, the high-speed submachine gun, and the explosive grenade launcher are but some of the game's weapon types. In addition, there are two non-gun weapon types: the knife, which strikes quickly at close-range enemies, and grenades, which are limited in supply but do large amounts of damage to enemies in a wide range.
Dodging enemy attacks is done through quicktime events or, in most cases, simply shooting the monster before they can get their attack off. On-screen prompts will tell to press a button or wave the Wii remote for certain types of attacks (boss attacks, enemy grapples), but most of them simply cannot be dodged unless you shoot the enemy before they can attack.Environments can be interacted with in a limited fashion. Shooting open crates will reveal items that can be picked up - weapons, ammo, health, or files. There are two kinds of health - herbs, which give immediate revival, and first-aid sprays, which act as extra lives, taking effect automatically if the player is reduced to zero health. The last interactive part of the game is doors. Some doors can be shot open to reveal alternate paths; these doors will highlight when moused over, but generally they're discovered accidentally - there's no big indicator saying "Secret door over here." Alternate paths have different items and monsters, so in some cases finding a secret door can be a big help.
The gameplay handling is okay, but not great. There is a big discrepancy between basic zombies and other monsters that tend to have armored points and unblockable techniques. The former can be easily dispatched with a few headshots; the latter tend to require reflexes faster than actual reloading can allow for in a lot of cases. Furthermore, with the rareness of checkpoints in levels, dying can be a major setback and source of frustration.
The game does feature co-op gameplay, though, which adds to its old-school appeal. Not all modes and levels support co-op, though there is an unlockable form of co-op that expands the range of levels that can be played with 2 players.
The graphics and sound are hardly worth noting; neither has really improved from Gamecube incarnations of the series like Resident Evil 4 or Resident Evil Zero. They're not bad, just not particularly impressive, either. There's no really noteworthy music, and the voice acting is as hammy and overplayed as it usually is. If you don't take it seriously, the voice acting isn't too bad.
As a whole, the game is kind of an annoyance to play. Despite the old-school roots, Umbrella Chronicles screws too much up to really be fun. The inclusion of co-op is nice, but there's not that much substance to the game overall. If you're an old-school rail-shooter fan, then it's all right; otherwise, there's not a lot that's new or inventive about it.
6/10.
I loved RE4 and I rushed to the store to buy Umbrella Chronicles. It turned out to be a "on rail" game. Well I still tried to play but after seeing "You are dead" so many times and actually just hitting "continue" just to make my way to the next "You are dead" message I gave up.
This game is sad. It is an arcade shooter not and rpg, action adventure like many other Resident Evil games. This is the kinda game that you can play for 15-30 minutes and then get sick of, or run out of quarters. Albeit the wiimote works well on its own or with the zapper it just... kinda a crappy game. I'm glad i bought it at Gamestop used with 2 guns so and was able to return it all for cash.
tl;dr
Buy it at gamestop used and then return it. I loved Resident Evil 4 for the PC, and I loved it even more for the Wii. In fact, I thought it was the best Wii game I'd played so far. Psyched about Umbrella Chronicles, I went out and got it right away, figuring that if nothing else it would be just more of the same (which wouldn't be bad, IMO).
Boy, was I wrong. This game is very nearly unplayable, period. The graphics are decent, but the gameplay is absolutely ridiculous. Ever play games like House Of The Dead at the arcade, where you get a plastic gun and just stand there, shooting things as they pop up on the screen? Well, Umbrella Chronicles is like that. It's like that to a T. Except instead of the plastic gun you get your Wiimote. You cannot move your character, cannot choose which doors to enter, which turns to take, or what strategy to apply to your enemies. You cannot do anything apart from shooting endless monsters that keep on jumping at you.
For me, exploration of the environment is one of the most important features of any videogame, be it FPS, adventure, simulation, you name it. What's behind this door? What lurks in the corridor beyond? Should I take the right or the left turn? It's what makes games fun. And I see no fun whatsoever in continuously shooting things without being able to explore. If you find that fun, then you'll love this game. If you're like me, spare yourself the pain. It doesn't deserve your time or your money. Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles is a brand new game in the Resident Evil® franchise, with familiar locales from the entire series. This action/shooter hybrid reveals the back story behind the fall of the Umbrella Corporation by exploring locations from Resident Evil 0, 1, 2 and 3 as well as new never-before-seen locations, such as Umbrella's stronghold. Classic locations from previous Resident Evil games in full 3D, including the mansion from the original and RE 0, and elements of Raccoon City from RE2 and 3. customer 's review (Wooow)
(difficulty is rewarding)
(Best of the series)
(Excelent!)
(You guys don't get it do you!?!?!?!?!) There are too many noobs who don't even play this game and give it a bad rating. Sad. Anyway... This is a great game. There are about 50 other things you can do other then battle like making your own weapons, chosing who you want to use, etc. This game is a sequel to Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and I like alot of characters from that game so it makes it double fun.The game has 30+ levels and you'll beat 10 levels in one sitting. Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn offers terrific gameplay especially if you have already played Fire Emblem Path of Radiance (the story continues 3 years afterwards). The prior game was a tad bit easier so I was pleased to hear that this game offered "punishing" and/or "unforgiving" difficulty. Those reviewers probably only played the first few levels of the first chapter (which were admittingly tough) and then quit because as your characters level up and the battle victory terms change, the game eases up a little bit. Each chapter follows a concurrent storyline of different characters. Although this allows the player to control multiple characters, it does make the story slightly disjointed and I am annoyed that I cant build up a character more thoroughly because I only control him/her for a chapter or two. Anyway its a great game that would have received a 5 if it had a little more polish. Nintendo/Intelligent Systems should have fixed the occasional frame rate drop, added IR/pointer controls, and more cutscenes with better voice actors. Nothing monumental . . . just polish. Fire emblem has out done itself from Game Boy Advance to Game Cube and now the Wii. Graphically superior and also gameplay mechanics and storyline just so much more interesting. Highly recommeded. Excelent turn based role playing game. It's a good mix of role playing, strategy, and anime!.
Good story and good art (if you like anime) You guys that are rating this thing low just don't get it do you?!?!?! Fire Emblem is SUPPOSED to be complicated, that is what makes it that much better and more fun to play!!!!!! I can't believe that you idiots would rate a great game like this one so low....... I'd like to see how far you guys would get in FE5 hehehe......
9.5 Presentation I loved the way this game was presented Just awesome
9.5 Graphics For the Wii, it had some VERY decent graphics
9.5 Sound Good sound quality on this game as well
10.0 Gameplay Some of the best RTS gameplay I've ever had

10.0 OVERALL (out of 10 / not an average)
Three years have passed since the Daein-Crimea war, where the mercenary Ike led the Crimean army todefeat Daein's mad King Ashnard. Both Daein and Crimea are still stabilizing after that war. Daein is ruled by the Begnion occupation forces, after Crimea relinquished rule over their defeated country, and they are oppressed by the imperial soldiers. In the first of the game's four parts, a group of chivalrous thieves, which includes fortune-teller Micaiah, fight Begnion's oppression and attempt to liberate Daein and bring back power to the royal family. The efforts of the Dawn Brigade are the beginning of a much larger conflict. In the next part, Crimea's Queen Elincia fights against conspiring nobles, who plot to overthrow her. The following part sees the Greil mercenaries assist the united Laguz army as they go to war with the Begnion Empire. The consequences of this war can be seen in the fourth and final part, where the Dawn Brigade and the Greil mercenaries join forces to defeat the Begnion senate and the threatening goddess of chaos high above at the Guiding Tower.
