『It's ok but it doesn't work well with the Wii Fit. It doesn't register your steps all of the time. I still use it because it does give you a higher base for step aerobics.』

『I couldn't wait to get this even after the reviews. Well i'm 50/50 on the whole thing. I used it 1 time so far and I have noticed that the steps are not accurate and that really gets frustrating. I guess if you know your doing it right then the count shoulnd't count, but I like the accuarte count. I will try other user tips about putting a poker chip in the holes and see what happens. It does make the step areobics more challenging and that's what I was looking for so all in all it's ok.』

(Epic flaws, but a good idea)
『It's a good idea, just not implemented real well. Could have been made to a higher standard. Not really worth $25. Go to home depot and get some wood and make a box or get a real aerobic step and put it under it for a better effect. 2 stars for the idea, -3 for the cheap plastic.』

(Pros and Cons)
『Just received this riser. Over all I think it is a good product. However it has a problem that the engineers should have spotted easily. The holes for the Wii Fit board are too deep. This causes the sensors to give incorrect information on weight and BMI to the game. It also fails to read stepping and excercising properly. I solved this problem by putting two poker chips in each of the holes for the Wii board feet. This gave just enough rise and still kept the board stable on the riser. Everything works great now. If the product had been made properly I would have given it 5 stars. Since it needed me to modify the flaw, it only rates 1 star. If I hadn't thought of the poker chips it would have rated a big fat "0". I hope the people at Everlast take note. I'm sure that many of these will be returned because of a truly stupid error. I would still recommend this product because it is the best of the two risers on the market for Wii.』

(Most fun I've had fishing on the Wii)
『Shimano Xtreme fishing is probably the most entertaining fishing game on the Wii. In addition to traditional rod and reel fishing there is bowfishing and spearfishing. The rod and reel fishing is fun but doesn't do anything new for the genre. The main difference in rod fishing is it is a lot faster paced than most other fishing games, you will never be bored sitting and waiting for a bite. Bowfishing and especially spearfishing is where the real excitement starts. In bowfishing you drive around on a boat and use a bow to shoot fish. Spearfishing is a lot like bowfishing except you are underwater in scuba gear and use a speargun. Some fish are bigger and need multiple hits. Spearfishing has a decent soundtrack to go with it and the underwater environments look pretty good. There are a lot of cool props such as downed planes, ancient ruins, sunken ships and bonus treasures. The coolest thing about spearfishing has to be fighting off sharks and alligators while hunting fish. The game becomes a lot of fun while trying to get the highest score you can to get gold medals and unlock new equipment and places. This means hunting the sharks and looking for monster fish. There is also a fish book that keeps track of your biggest catches, and there are a lot of different fish in this game. The other fishing games don't even come close to the number of fish you can catch in this. There is also a multiplayer shooter mode that is actually pretty fun if you have three friends to play with. Hitting that monster fish to steal the lead from one of your friends towards the end is pretty exciting.

I do have some minor complaints about the game. The graphics are "ok" but are not the best. They are about on par with most of the other fishing games offered. Rod fishing isn't as fun as the bowfishing and spearfishing modes. There are some weird instances where the character or fish can swim through objects, but it doesn't happen a lot and it doesn't really affect gameplay. Spearfishing in 3rd person view is kind of cool but it is a lot easier to shoot fish in the first person mode it seems.

If you are looking for a good new fishing experience on the Wii Shimano Xtreme Fishing is definitely a game to pick up. Most other fishing games can get boring and repetitive within an hour of playing. Shimano Xtreme Fishing is really three games in one with the different modes of play. There are a lot of things to unlock and a lot of fish to catch. Freefishing mode and multiplayer also add to the fun and extend the gameplay. If you don't really like fishing games to begin with Shimano Xtreme Fishing probably won't change your mind. Still, there is something satisfying to shooting a 700 lb shark swimming right towards you, so who knows?』

(Unique Fishing Game)
『This is not a "hardcore fishing simulation." Rather, it is a fast and fun "action fishing" game. Actually, 3 games in one. First there is traditional fishing which is similar to other games, but moves at a much faster pace. Then the game adds bowfishing (using a bow and arrow to shoot at fish from a boat) and spear fishing (swimming underwater and pursuing fish with a speargun.) Both are fun and, as far as I know, totally unique game experiences.

There is also a mutiplayer "shooting gallery" style mode where up to four players can bow or spear fish together.

I think it is suitable for kids. There is a little blood in the water, but the game doesn't really focus on that. Rather you are concentrating on getting a high score and seeing the new types of fish you've caught. There are lots of different fish including many I've never seen in a fishing game before.

(Lacks Realistic Rod movement- No sharks to catch)
『If you were thinking that this game allows you to fish for the sharks and larger fish mentioned in the description, that is not exactly true. You can shoot at them in spearfishing mode but your rod fishing is limited to a river area and the game lacks the level of rod control that I have enjoyed in other games. It tells you to move the remote left or right to hook the fish and has a tension meter, but you must obey the commands it flashes on the screen or lose the fish. This is very different from games that allow you to tease the bait along the bottom and move the rod back and forth to entice the fish. Until a fish is on the line you have no control over the cast other than placement and reeling it in. This "cast and reel" style fishing is just not that exciting.

The spearfishing is fun and you can play with a friend. It is not that different form other simple "multi-player" shooting games. Some annoying things are that you have to shoot only certain fish and sometimes you can't find that last fish anywhere. The bowfishing is okay and is similar to spearfishing above the water. You are again limited to the river area.

The most annoying thing about the game is the loud music and voice-over. I like fishing games because they offer a good combination of relaxing water sounds and fishing strategy. This lacks both.』

『If the idea of fighting fish appeals to you, check this game out.

The good stuff
- Lots and lots to do. This is three games in one. It has regular rod and reel fishing, bow fishing, and spear fishing with scuba. Each one of these is big enough to be a separate game.
- The modes are good. The rod and reel is as good as any rod and reel I've played, maybe better. The bow fishing is tons of fun, but maybe closer to hunting then fishing. My favorite is the spear fishing. You swim around underwater with scuba, shoot a ton of fish and run into sharks (and in one level gators) who attack you.
- Multi-player is very fast moving, lots of fun, but for bow fishing and spear fishing (not rod and reel)
- Control and sound are great, really tight. Graphics gets the job done ok.

Stuff to know
- The T rating is probably because of the fish blood in bow fishing and spear fishing modes.
- When in the spear diving mode, push 1 for first person. Definitely much better that way!
- You can use a nunchuck to reel in the fishing line, but I didn't see much point in it, liked using the B button better
- Though it's a fishing game, the bow action in bow fishing is a lot like hunting


If you like catching fish, you'll like this. Just be sure you are OK with a little fish blood.』

『I bought this product as a surprise for my husband. He's played some of the other fishing games, but wasn't ever truly excited about playing them after about an hour and then they'd sit on the shelf. He doesn't get to fish as much as he'd like to for various health reasons, but he really does enjoy the act of fishing. I thought I would take a chance on this game to see if it would raise his spirits a little. I was very surprised by his reaction to the game. He started out by playing the Rod and Reel part of the game and he enjoyed it a little more than other fishing games he has, but I really noticed his excitement level increase when I heard him laughing and whooping it up with our nephew while they were playing the Bow part of the game. I stood watching them both play the game for a while and it looked like they were having a lot of fun shooting the fish. I guess people really do fish with Bows and Spear Guns. My husband is truly happy with the game and has been playing it non stop since since we got it three days ago. He was having so much fun with it that I had to try it myself and I am not really a video game player, but the controls were very easy and after a couple of tries I was catching fish just like my husband was. I even beat him by shooting a record alligator gar!

I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes fishing and hunting games because this game has something the other games seem to lack, continuous enjoyment after the first few hours of playing. Oh, and the controls are easy enough that even I can play it. It's nice to have a game my family can enjoy together, now if I can just get him to give me a turn with the controller...』

『Be forewarned that this product does not work well for the "Fishing World Tour" game. For that game, you need to be able to move the remote and the nunchuck independently, not as a unit. Also any game that requires you to point and select during gameplay will not work with this, because when fully assembled, the transmitter on the remote is blocked. That being said, the product seems like a good one. It is durable, operates smoothly, and is easy to use.』

『I was a little nervous that it would not work with my guitar hero "world tour" guitar -but there is no issue. The live music is great for the guitar, but not so great for the signing... Harder to hear and follow. But if you like AC/DC - its worth the cash.』

『This track pack is awesome! all the songs are great songs, very nice to hear and VERY fun to play, you'll feel like a real rock star this time, unlike with other rock band games or track packs!
The song selection is near perfection since you will enjoy all of them whether you're the biggest AC/DC fan ever, or you've never heard a song, or haven't even heard of this band.
Some kinds of fans could be disappointed though, since fans tend to be more like "connoissers" and like the underground songs that nobody knows about except for them, and are sick and tired of the most famous songs, or singles. I wouldn't recommend this game to that kind of fan unless they are collectors and want to have the game just to say they have the game. If your that kind of fan but still like the singles and famous songs then you'll have a blast with this track pack.

I gave the track pack 4 stars instead of 5 only because there are not enough songs in my opinion, this band diserved a whole game (like rock band beatles) with a lot more songs and features, not just a track pack. Actually, I don't think ANY band should have a track pack instead of a whole game....I don't mind the track packs as long as they are a mix of songs of the same genre (like metal, country and classic rock track packs just to name a few). But if you're going to make a game about a band, do it the whole way!!! Beside that the game is perfect!』

『First of all, this game works perfectly with a Guitar Hero World Tour guitar. I had seen some postings that say it does not.

I needed something to get me through my down time after a vasectomy so I set my sites on getting better at Guitar Hero so I could put my daughter in her place. Guitar Hero World Tour is fine, but they alway slip in some tracks that do not rock. AC/DC is just what the doctor ordered (no pun intended). 18 tracks that rock from their live performances.』

『I've run through a couple of controllers in my playing time and none have been like this controller. Usually when you buy a new controller it takes a few months to break it in, so it starts playing like you want it to for games like Smash Brothers Melee and other games that require precise timing with the controller, well this controllers comes ready for that without the wait or the preparing, it feels like a dream.
So if you want to play Smash Brothers Melee in an advance manner or any other game for Gamecube or Wii, this is the classic controller to get.

(Nice mission main area, great party mini games section)
『Lucasarts makes great games. This one combines a nice strategy/mission of running a park w/simple adding marketing, training staff, building stalls, rides&games to make the customers happy. It's done simply that anyone over 10 years should be able to figure out. I dislike this type of game, but I found myself enjoying it. With a nice story that you run the park against sabotage from a rival theme park owner, etc. Finding your way around the park or transporting yourself immediately to a game, ride or person instantly is easy. The sounds help immerse you into the game, there's real voice acting for all interactions (you can FFW them)&there's real songs in the menu, cheer leading game, etc. The Doc Brown like character as the park owner is a nice touch.
freezing in main game
I did have a freezing issue, though mine happens after an hour straight of play. It never happens in the party/mini game section, just the main adventure area. I now save often after winning a game or mission which is annoying, but the only part of the game I found a let down.

these are a collection of midway&ARCADE games. Each you can choose how many players, three levels of difficulty and levels&sometimes length of play.

(Crashes Over And Over, But Fun When You Can Play It)
『The thing crashes like 5-15 min into the game - everytime. If you don't save as soon as the guy is finally done talking when you are actually in the amusement park, you'll be sorry. We had to start a new game - picking my son's character and listening to the 5 min opening, 5 times. Finally did get it saved, after my son went to bed, tried a couple of the storyline missions and was about to save it again and it crashed AS I WAS SAVING IT!!! There are no directions anywhere on-line that I can find to fix this. Nintendo does not even acknowledge that game crashes on Thrillville is an issue despite it being mentioned on the forums of numerous websites. This is obviously very frustrating.

HOWEVER, The game seems really fun when you can actually get it to work. I thought it was fun to go around and tweak the rides, talk to people, and generally see after the amusement park. Also, instead of loading our saved game after the last time it froze up, I went directly into the minigames and was able to play that for about 70 WHOLE MINUTES with no crashes. Have we turned the page - who knows - because of course no one wants to tell us how to fix the problem (although I've asked Lucas Arts). The minigames are somewhat simplistic, by vary enough in type and style to be enjoyable. A number of them require you to advance in your management role in order to unlock a game - pretty typical stuff.

So be aware - you are rolling the dice whether you will have Thrillville or FREEZEVILLE when you bring this home. I would NOT buy it on-line, through Ebay or from a store that does not allow returns. As it is, Office Depot will only allow me to return it for the same title - so we'll either see if I can fix the problem or we'll see how many copies of the game hae the same issue.』

    『My eight year old really liked the Dawn of the Dinosaurs movie, and the video game has all of the familiar character from the movie. The game can be a little frustrating at first as you learn the right buttons to push, but it quickly becomes addicting as you try to progress further and further. Basically a character is placed into a scene and you have to figure out how to get through all of the obstacles. Each scene has its own twists and turns that you have to figure out. If you get stuck, characters provide you clues to help you along. My son has really enjoyed working through the game.』

There are some hard parts and I do have to read some of the directions that pop up alot on the screen telling you what to do. There are also little clips during the game to watch. The multi-player games are ok, all the same game just a little different. But overall I will be buying the game.』

    The Story
    Based on the 2009 major animated feature of the same name,Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaursfeatures the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah and Josh Peck as members of an unlikely herd of prehistoric pals on a rescue mission across the tundra and beyond.
