It was interesting seeing the sims how they would react on a island as composed to their normal comfy little homes with their tvs, and all those modern conviences. Even getting socialization needs up became different using the chimpanzees to help with that. Having to find items to help with building was very challenging as compared to the pc version having them right at hand and being able to build right away. I like this game i find it more challenging a slight more difficult them the pc versions. Being my first time trying a console based sims game I am very into them now and look foreward to trying some of the other sims type console games for the wii or such. I loved being able to fish for food, gather it. Finding treasure pieces this and that. He had a very difficult time and gave up after a few tries (and he is one of those people who is good at all sports...everything). Even my sons (who are both over 18 and are video pros) had a very difficult time, and neither thought this was very fun. The graphics are very cool...and at times it seems as though the animals being hunted are coming right at you and attacking. (fun, yet can be frusturating) 『Hunting games have been given a bad rap over the years, probably because theres much more walking and tracking than shooting (which is easily the most enjoyable part). Now introducing more action to the mix with dangerous hunts, which included mostly dangerous game that would happily attack you, but still giving the game a free, open feel but the same problem as several other Cabela's games. Afterward, Activision released a sequel, Dangerous Hunts 2, which replaced realism and a free feel with action and a story, which was a nice attempt yet felt very empty. Dangerous hunts 2009 has solved the problems with both by having constant animal attacks, but using a large, explorable terrain. The animal attacks are enjoyable and the hand to claw combat keeps the game interesting. Action zone (a mode in which you are merely ported to a location with several dangerous animals awaiting you presence) has not only been returned, but also modified, keeping it short for a quick flick of the action, without 20 minutes of repetitive game play on a keyboard or controller. Sadly though, this game is not without flaws. The game terrain can constantly trap you and confuse you, making travel somewhat difficult and the controls can be a little annoying or hard to remember or reach. other than the occasional flaw, this game is easily recommendable to any Cabela's game fan, but should be used with a wii gun accessory like the perfect shot for the best experience.』

Getting attacked by pythons, hyenas, and such is pretty fun and you dispatch them with a few waves of the wii remote. In fact, I often chose not to even try to shoot animals in hopes that they would attack me.
Though very fun, I cannot give the game a high rating for two reasons. First, there are times that you will get very frustrating looking for some of the game (i.e. - tranquilizing the tigers you cannot find on one level). The second, and main one for me, was the constant display of curse words when using the "hunter sense". I would not have even bothered with this game had I know that. That said, I don't even know why Nintendo bothered to build a Component option into the Wii-- I can't see any visual difference at all between 480i (using the included composite cable) vs. 480p (using the component cable) on my big-screen Sony Bravia LCD HDTV.
Still, at less than $5, I'm glad I got this cable from EForcity than from Nintendo for $15.』

I've never played it on Dreamcast, so I can't compare it to the original, but I think it's a really great game. The music is great and the graphics are so bright and colorful that it's like watching a party unfold on your TV screen! The little "extra" challenges, like Mr. Pose, are lots of fun and are a great addition to the usual maraca shaking.
I'm not sure if it's my motion sensor or if it's something that's common to all games, but in some of the mini games, such as the dancing game, it's not always very accurate at picking up hand positions, which renders some of them virtually unplayable, and that's disappointing. However, since it's not crucial to the main gameplay, I don't mind that very much.
It's possible to play this game alone, but it's much more fun to play with a group, because there's nothing quite as funny as watching other people make fools of themselves. Just remember... it's your turn eventually.』
(Fun game, messy controls) 『I have never played Samba de Amigo before... well before it was only on the Dreamcast and I never touched one of those in my life so yeah. But I'm addicted to music/rhytym games so this one was a no brainer for me. Specially when Amazon had it for 10 bucks. (!)
I kept reading all over the internet that the controls for this game were broken and that that ruined the otherwise awesome experience of the game. I mean, the graphics are great, the soundtrack is insanely fun, and well its just one happy latin fest in ur Wii. But once you got to the controls it was just unplayable. I just had to check this out myself and see how true it was.
If I'm not mistaken the original Samba de Amigo on the dreamcast and arcade was played with maraca controllers, and you were requiered to shake either high, middle or low. With the Wii remote however, you are requiered to POINT AND SHAKE at those directions to make it work. Things get quiet tricky not only when trying to keep the beat of the song and watchin the balls scroll, but also trying to work out what the Wii remote will recognize properly each time. Truth is, Wii remotes are no maracas. They have accelometers and other stuff in them that might get too confused when you are shaking it to "Volare" on Very Hard. Truth is, Sega could have definitely taken some more time to really make the controls work better and they just didn't. Which is a shame becuase the rest of the game really those feel high quality. The presentation, graphics, sound, song selection... everything is great. When you have a rhytym game u only really want to worry about your own sense of rhytym and not if the controller will react the way it should.
With all this said though, those with a little more patience will indeed find the way to make the controls work the best (really, it IS possible)... with the only drawback being that u'll find urself playing in a rather unnatural way for a game with such upbeat happy danceable music. Then again, when balls start scrolling like mad, there's just no way you could play that and still look like u were just "dancing". It is a maracas game, not a dancing game btw. Though it does throw in some "hustle" moves which are quiet fun to nail. :)
So yeah, I recommend this game if you are into rhytym games and enjoy latin music, but if you are planning to have friends play with you make sure they practice A LOT first. Otherwise just watch frustration happen.』

Yes, you can play the game sitting there and moving your arms but it's so much more fun to be up. As you move your arms to hit the right circles you can get your whole body moving to the music. It can end up being a very nice workout. Yes, sometimes the nunchuck cord does get in the way. It would probably be easier (you wouldn't be worried about the cord) with a cordless nonchuck. However, it's still very fun and doable without one.』
