(Not for more sensitive little girls!!!)

(Great for LITTLE girls)

(Good even for a three year old)

(Wii Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey)

(Fun for little girls)
This game is fun and my 5 year old loved that she got to customize her character, my beef is the Bogs. I really don't see why they had to put such a scary character in a game they KNEW was going to have its target audience as 4-6 year olds (they say it's for 8-12 year olds, but not too many girls that age are still into princesses). The game has some cute mini games, and they could have added more of those and it would have been fine, they did not need the Bogs. (Oh, and the Bogs look kind of like that little goblin in the movie Cats Eye if that gives you any indication...) as the levels get more difficult, the amount of Bogs surrounding you goes up, and they get harder to vanquish (really hard, you have to swing the remote rapidly up and down for a long time to get them to disappear)..... also they slow down time and surround you in this green cloud. Even to me it's a little spooky. Yes, the princesses don't die, but try telling that to a hysterical 5 year old who sees her alter ego being attacked and her life line shooting down. This game scares my daughter so much she refuses to play it anymore, and when we convince her to give it another try, and stand right next to her..... within a minute she is sobbing again, so we've given up. We should have rented it first, and now we've learned our lesson, we rent every game before we buy so this doesn't happen again. Just know, if the Bogs make your child uneasy in the easier levels..... they just get scarier.
My 4 yr old daughter loves this game. We have played through it together 5 times now. For any child over 7 or 8 it would be horribly boring. This is great for ages 3 -7. There aren't enough games for this age group. We have to always play together and it is boring for me. I often "pass out" while playing with her, only to be awaken with a wii remote tap on the head. In the Cinderella area, my daughter spent 15 minutes jumping in puddles. Boring for me, but I love hearing the sound of her little laugh. I had to limit our play time to 3 hours per week, it has become a great help in rewarding good behavior. If your little girl love Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, or Jasmine, she will enjoy this game. It isn't a game to park you kid in front of while you get something done. But I like doing it with her for counting, colors, and reading more then the Vtech. I really wish there where more games like this. I was hesitant to get it because of so many bad reviews. They where wrong.
I bought this game for my three year old and was afraid that it would be too complicated for her. I was pleasantly surprised that she picked up on the controls as well as she did, although I certainly have to sit next to her to help her out with the aiming of the Wii remote, etc.

She LOVED it - the first time we turned it on we played for an hour and I had to drag her away from it. The 'easy' princess rooms are good for my three year old but the ones labeled as 'hard' were definitely tough (even for me - but granted, I'm not a video game expert at all.) She particularly loves being able to dress her princess girl and change her hair, clothes, and accessories. I think she'll grow into this nicely and we'll play it for years.

I bought this game for my four year old granddaughter. She played the two people, with my grandson who is also four. It was hard for them to stay together, it was easier for her to play the single player. She really liked the game, there were some hard spots that her mother had to get her through.
I have 2 wonderfull nieces, Arianna is 7 and Alessandra is 5. They don't get tired of playing this game. I recommend this game!!!

(This is really fun!!!)

(A lot of fun for adults and kids)

(Fantastic game for the Wii)

(Although the Wii is not hardcore friendly..)

(Good Time Waste)
This turns out to be a very challenging game. It can get very competitive when playing others, which makes it even more fun to play. This is fun for all ages. I am 62 and have a great time with it, and my grandson requested it for Christmas this year which made buying a gift for him very easy.
Great game. My sons (4 and 6) and I love it. There are many different modes and you can create your own levels. There are competitive and cooperative multiplayer levels, so you have a lot of options.
We have had this game for a few weeks now and it is nothing short of amazing. The fact that the blox and the characters all have different characteristics makes the game fun and challenging. We haven't unlocked all of the levels yet, so there is still more to look forward to. An added bonus is the fact that you can create your own levels using the same blox and characters. My kids have been very creative in creating their own levels. I would highly recommend this game for the Wii.
it excels beyond any other console in the puzzle genre. Being a multi-console owner, I hardly turn to my Wii for extensive gaming, but it is very easy to get lost in the addicting game play of Boom Blox. The title conists of a small amount of mechanics, but the puzzles and goals are built to be very challenging. You will find yourself starting a puzzle to pass a small amount of time, and end up playing for a matter hours. The game has a small adventure mode that consist of several different stories with different objectives. There's also a section that consist of straight forward puzzles, and the multiplayer componet is also fun. The only gripe I have is the lack of online multiplayer or co-operative story mode, this game would definetly be the best Wii game I've played if I could face off with other players head-to-head online, and if my wife could join me in the adventure mode. Boom Blox takes full advantage of the Wii's controls and technology and allows the player to decide their method of control, I prefer using a single remote by itself but I could see why someone would want to include the nunchuck to operate the camera easier. The bottom line, if you're looking for a grade A puzzle game or just something to make you actually want to power on your Wii then do not hesitate to pick up Boom Blox today!
To describe this game I would say it's a cross between Jenga, Duck Hunt, and the baseball knock down carnival games. It's pretty fun to play with friends and family. Just so you know your arm will get sore after about 20 minutes of play because of all the throwing, shooting and pulling you do in this game.
It's cool that you can make and play levels you create, but the Wii is limited in how much can be on the screen at one time. Even if you don't reach that limit and play the level, the processing power of the Wii is lacking and you will experience slowdown. While this doesn't hurt the overall fun-ness of the game, it can be annoying.
At the price it is now, it's worth to pick up since you can either play this game for hours or 5 minutes. These kind of games are perfect for those with only a short time to spare.

Fun for kids and the entire family, BOOM BLOX offers action-packed interactive activities that takes Wii play to a new level of creativity and fun with single player, co-op, and versus gameplay. Players can explore the visceral gameplay that keeps them destroying their way through brain-twisting challenges. They can interact with entertaining characters such as the Blox-laying chickens or the baseball-throwing monkeys, who bring personality to the Tiki, Medieval, Frontier, and Haunted themed environments. Additionally, players can remix any level of the game in Create Mode using props, blocks, or characters that have been unlocked during the game. Players can also virtually build anything they can dream up. Plus, their designs can then be shared with friends or used to challenge others to solve their newly created puzzle via WiiConnect24.
BOOM BLOX, is the first game developed in collaboration between two giants of multimedia entertainment, Electronic Arts and director/producer, Steven Spielberg. Spielberg is obviously a master storyteller and so knows a thing or two about blockbusters, but he also no stranger to the gaming world. A long-time gamer himself, he conceived the original idea behind Lucas Art’s PC/Mac titleThe Dig, but busting theseBLOXis an entirely new concept.

(Good for a quad)

(Does its job well.)

(Does its job, but only to satisfy that requirement)

(This dock rocks!)

(Wii Quad Dock)
I would have to say I like having all 4 of my remotes being charged at the same time. It would be better if they made it so that it could charge just the battery pack without the remote. Also there needs to be a slot for the wrist band to come out because it is usually in the way. Its great I would suggest it to all, I only put the things that could be better not to make anyone think its no good but to let others know that there is always room for perfection.
Inexpensive, and does exactly as advertised. Takes up little room, but the connections could be a little longer. You'll have to locate the base unit fairly close to your Wii, which may be difficult depending upon your A/V rack&furniture. Only real drawback is that you really cannot keep the rubber sleeves for the Wii remotes on the units while charging. Minor irritation, but noteworthy. If you use your Wii moderately or heavily, rechargeable batteries are a must, and this unit works well.
While the Quad Dock does charge up to four wii-remote rechargeable battery packs at once, it does so very inconveniently. To place the remote in with the battery pack installed, the wriststrap MUST be removed. This is a bit of a pain. The best way to charge is by placing the batter pack solely into the charger; it is designed to work this way as well. HOWEVER, getting it into the right angle is difficult.

Another thing that is odd is that this charger draws power from your Wii console's AC adapter. That's right; you must plug your AC adapter into it, and then connect it to your Wii with a very short dongle. I would have preferred to have a separate 2 prong 110V AC cord.

Overall, it does work, batteries fit well into remote and 4x charging is possible, just some important oddities keep this product from really shining.

Very happy after owning the quad dock for close to 2 months now. Clever AC power adapter piggy backs on the Wii AC power cord, so you don't use a USB port or use up any outlets on your power strip. Drawing direct from AC also means faster charge times than USB models.
Another plus is the battery packs have a little extension button for the wireless connection. True, this is not a common use feature, but still shows what consideration went into product design and comes in real handy if you need to re-connect or you take your wiimote over to a different Wii. My friend has a different model charge station/battery packs that lacked this feature, and I had to put loose batteries in the wiimote and hold them in place while I pressed the connect button.
I have not tried putting my wiimote with the new battery packs into any kind of Wii accessory (e.g. wheel, gun, etc.) but to my eye the battery pack profile is exactly the same as the OEM battery covers, so my guess is these puppies will fit no problem.
Probably the coolest thing about this charging solution is that the battery packs fit securely into the charge station, even when seperated from the wiimote. This means, if you have less than 4 wiimotes, you can always have a fresh battery pack handy in case you drain one while playing.
My only complaint, and it is a small one, is the blue lights. Some may like them, but for me they are a bit too intense. I would have been happier with some small, subtle LEDs. My kids think it is pretty cool when they get up in the morning (before daylight) and all 4 charge docks are flashing cool, blue light (each recepticle has a ring of blue light that comes on when in contact with batteries and charging, and then switches to a slow flash when fully charged).
To summarize, if you are looking for a charging solution for the Wii, buy this one, even if you have only one wiimote at present. You won't regret it. For those concerned that blue lights flashing may detract from the appearance of your home (or make you think the cops are at your door), you can probably get some colored, semi-transparent tape to cover and subdue the lights.

I ordered this thinking that It would be a little better than the Nyko version that only charged two controllers at a time. I played for about 4 straight hours one day and the controllers were fully charged when I started. I had to stop to charge the controller I was using because it was almost dead. They said it would last 15 hours and I figured that was way more than I needed, but the 4 hours that I got out of it was a joke.

You have to remove the straps and even though I don't use them, other people like to use them and it's a pain to take the straps off and put them back on every time. The manual said it took 4 hours to charge 4 controllers (if I remember correctly), so your time to charge two would obviously take less time, but it isn't worth it because the batteries don't last long enough, especially if you are having a wii party. An hour of charge for an hour of gameplay isn't very good compared to other products out there, and that was the time I got out of the battery without the controller's sound or rumble features turned on. This is a terrible product in my opinion, and my friends thought so too. I would really recommend the Nyko charge station, but I don't want to sound like a spokesperson for their product. I also have Energizer rechargable batteries that work much better than the quad dock, so take your pick because there are many options out there that provide better results than this product.

(Oh jesus)

(Fan Service?)

(Great for Fans of the Original, Otherwise...)
Yeah alright.
I was waiting for this for AGES, ight?
and I was expecting a game just as fun, funny, and loveable as the first one.
That is NOT what I got from this.
Emil, makes Lloyd look like the best person in the world.
Which he still is, I love Lloyd!
Marta, is trying too hard.
And Richter is probably the most annoying "serious" character ever.
Next to VAN from Tales of the Abyss.
Frankly, the story started off MUCH too slowly and the plot stays away from the original Tales of Symphonia SO MUCH.
I didn't expect it to be exactly the same of course, but they even changed the Tech to ARTES
WHAT IS THIS!?
I didn't really like it, but my love for Tales of will keep me playing.
For now at least.

Although for the most part i agree that this is for those who enjoyed the original, i would disagree that it did its part for fan service. All of the original cast make a long, playable appearance, but Namco decided not to get back most of the original voice cast. Heather Hogan, Collette, remains, but other than that, there's almost no one. These voice actors became more to us than voices; They became the characters themselves. Without these, the characters take some getting used to. Other than that, the game is pretty fun. The point and click map makes exploring impossible, which is a downer, but the nostalgic feeling of many of the cities is amazing. The game could have been much more, and with all the delays on the release date, it should have been. It turns out to be a good but not exceptional rpg for the wii, but the small elements missing culminate into a large empty hole that Namco had a hard time filling, even with all the great character development of their new characters. But, what can you expect? This is a spinoff, not a sequal.
Pros:

+Good looking game
+Fun battle system
+Returning characters who do more than simply make an appearance
+For the most part, good voice acting

Cons:

-Battling can be a button mashing affair
-A slow story to start
-Too linear
-If you haven't played the first game the plot becomes harder to understand throughout and it is just harder to appreciate

When Tales of Symphonia debuted on the Gamecube, it became an unprecedented cult classic. Since then there have been several Tales games to come about, but none have hit the spark Tales of Symphonia did on the Gamecube. Fans of Tales of Symphonia will probably come to Dawn of the New World with open arms. Newcomers, however, might do best to play the original first.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World takes place two years after the original. The story itself can seem a bit complicated at times. Mostly because there are a lot of things thrown in from the first game. In terms of being a sequel it's not bad in the sense that it brings in familiar faces who do more than just present a cameo, and that it also has you revisiting areas, but it also refers to the first game many times down the road. Needless to say, if you haven't played the first Tales of Symphonia, some of the story just might not click right away and you might even find some of it to be a mess. The original game had a lot to swallow and much of it you'll be expected to remember. It also doesn't help that the story isn't all that well paced. It takes a while for it to jump into things. Tales has never been great about jumping into the story, but for some reason it's a bigger problem with Dawn of the New World.

On the other hand, the characters in and of themselves are interesting. You'll learn a lot about them, and familiar faces returning also helps matters along. There are also skits that are optional side conversations that add to the story and characters. It's easy to like the characters, and it's nice that skits are voiced this time around, unlike the original Gamecube title.

Also like many Tales games, get ready for a lot of conversation and exposition. There's some good humor within the game and most of the dialog isn't bad at all. The voice acting is strong, for the most part, but there are some areas where it's laughable.

One of the bigger differences between Dawn of the New World and the original Gamecube title actually comes from the fact that the world map completely restricts exploring. It's now a point and click mechanic. On one hand, considering the amount of running around you'll be doing, it's nice to have that quick and easy access. On the other hand, part of the fun of an RPG is exploring. The new world map system makes the game much more linear than it really has to be.

When you're exploring dungeons, however, the game can be exciting. Mainly because Dawn of the New World doesn't get rid of the battle system the Tales series is known for. Once in battle, Tales plays similar to an action RPG where you can run up to enemies and start clobbering away. You've also got special attacks called Artes you can use provided you have the right amount of TP. There are times when the game can become a button mashing fest, but there are times when some genuine strategy is needed. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World isn't exactly an easy game. When you're not controlling the other characters they are controlled by AI that, for the most part, does a good job. Luckily you can issue commands and customize things if they aren't to your liking.

Dawn of the New World isn't a bad looking game by any means. It ditches the cell shaded look for something a bit more realistic. It doesn't look quite as artsy as the first game did as a result, but it's not terrible by any means. You'll also visit a lot of locations from the very first game that look almost exactly the same. The same could be said of the music. There are a couple returning tracks that are remixed but there's some new stuff as well. Tales of Symphonia didn't exactly have memorable music to begin and Dawn of the New World isn't different in that regard either. It's not bad music, you just won't find yourself remembering any of it.

Unfortunately, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World doesn't exactly have a massive appeal. This is a game meant for those who enjoyed their romp through the Gamecube original. If you've never played the original game, it might be a little harder to get a grasp on everything that's mentioned throughout the plot. It's perfectly accessible to newcomers and they'll probably like it if JRPGs are their thing, but its hard to deny that the game is more appealing if you were a big fan of the first one to begin with.

Set two years after the events of Tales of Symphonia for the Nintendo GameCube, Dawn of the New World follows the journey of two new young heroes, Emil Castagnier and Marta Lualdi, as they seek to uncover the mystery of why their world has fallen into ruin. In their quest, their paths will cross with the original cast of Tales of Symphonia including Lloyd and Colette, as well as a summon spirit known as Ratatosk who claims to be the lord of all monsters. Dawn of the New World introduces a new monster recruitment feature in which you can capture more than 200 unique enemies and train them to actively participate in battle. You can then feed these monsters to make them more effective, and even evolve them into several new fearsome forms. The game also features an updated real-time battle system that lets you move freely in all directions around the battlefield, execute powerful unison attacks and take advantage of a new elemental alignment system for even more strategic depth.
