(Excellent family/friend fun)
『This is one of those games we always come back to when we have friends over. It has a lot of silly but fun minigames that are fun for groups of all ages. The single player is boring though, and I wish that everything was just unlocked from the beginning.. I still haven't unlocked half of the multiplayer because I don't want to play it alone. Still, its a great value.

(Very Shallow Minigames)
『This has more shock value than anything and is funny at first. The crazy rabbits are funny to see for the first time and are laugh in a group setting. But as an adult, I find the mini games to be very shallow and get old quickly. I played through the game once in single-player just to play through everything and had a few interesting moments on the side. But I think there are far better minigame collections out there if you want some minigames with any depth. For example, how long will it be fun to slam bathroom doors on crazy rabbits that scream when the bathroom stall doors open? Funny for shock value once, but I look for a little more in a game than shock.』

(Fun, but not "Rayman")
『This game doesn't really fall into the Rayman game world, so if you're expecting a platforming/action game, don't bother. As far as party games go, it's not bad and has some fun and funny moments thanks to the parodies that the Rabbids lend themselves to.』

(Fun, but not for young kids)
『We have a three year old daughter and a five year old son. I thought that this would be fun for them... but it is waaaay to complicated for them. An example would be the disco game, this game requires extreme rhythm! However, the adults LOVE it! The mummy-bunnies are hilarious! It's a little like watching a cartoon character getting that much deserved beating. For all those parents thinking about buying this for their child(ren), it requires concentration, rhythm, and precision.』

(Rabbids too difficult?)
『No, the mini games are a lot of fun. HOWEVER because of the way the game is set up you have to complete a minimum of three mini games out of four for each day and then the main challenge for that day before you are put back into your prison cell (the only place the game gets saved). Some of the tasks are interesting, fun and funny but they can be difficult to master and succeed at, so if you've just spent some time getting something right you're going to have to throw away your progress UNLESS you have the time to tackle two more mini games and a final challenge. It would be nice if the game allowed you to save right after each mini game when you've finally succeeded in getting a difficult one right, as it is the method of saving only at the end of each game day makes what should be a fun experience tedious.

The game makes great use of the strengths of the Wii controls in some very imaginative and funny scenarios and if it's at bargain bin prices it is well worth it just for that. You would have to be dedicated to complete the game, though, because of the game mechanics.』

『Rayman Raving Rabbids is the edgiest and most off-the-wall gaming experience in the history of the Rayman franchise. This new Rayman game features the funniest, zaniest, wackiest antics ever when hordes of nasty bunnies invade Rayman's world. They enslave him, forcing Rayman to participate in a series of gladiator-like trials. In order to win his freedom, Rayman must entertain and outwit these crazed, out-of-control bunnies.

Welcome to a new generation of Rayman

You'd be hard-pressed to find a game with as much character as Rayman Raving Rabbids. From the creative minigames to the quirks of the bunnies, this game packs an immense amount of entertainment on one disc. It's rare in games that failing during a competition can bring you as much joy as actually succeeding, but Rayman Raving Rabbids does an admirable job of rewarding your failure with a large dose of comic screams, flying plungers and crossed eyes.

Of course, the point is to succeed and not let the bunnies laugh at your failure. Rayman Raving Rabbids may have a lot of style but it has very little plot. Each level consists of four minigame challenges and one "boss battle," so to speak. If you complete at least three of the minigames, the main gate opens, allowing you to take on a greater challenge. Once you play a minigame in the Story Mode, you unlock that minigame and can play it at any time and against friends.』

(Much better than the Wii Fit)
『After "playing" with the Wii fit and getting over the novelty of it, I realized it was not what I needed in terms of a workout game. The sessions were segmented too much. I purchased the Fitness Coach and instantly liked the difference. While you have to put in your weight and dimensions manually, the variety of the work-outs and the intensity makes me feel like I'm getting a decent workout. I only have two complaints after months of using the program. The first is the number of rests between activities. There should be an adjustment to make these shorter or remove them completely. I realize part of it is due to the application changing activities, but some are really long. My second complaint is in regards to the questions they ask. They say that the program will be adjusted based upon my entries, but I don't believe this is true. Also, while you are working out, it is a pain to stop and power on the remote (because it has gone to sleep), then try to position the pointer just right to answer the question. I wish they would just add one question at the end. Other than that, I do love the program. I get bored easily, so I love how they switch up activities, scenery and music.』

(Love it, then one week and I'm Frustrated)
『I loved this game when I got it last week, now I'm getting frustrated. As long as we're doing exercises where I'm upright and can clearly see the TV, it's great. Otherwise, really annoying. There is very little voice about what we're doing. Yes, a lot of, "good going" and "stretch those muscles", but not a lot of "bend your legs left, now up, now to the right". If I can't see the screen, I don't know what we're supposed to be doing. I'll be working on doing the exercise on the left, then suddenly we're resting and I completely missed when we worked the right side. Or I get a crick in my neck from constantly trying to twist my head to see the screen.

I'm going to have to find another source for exercises other than those done upright. It would have required so little to have made this one better.

(Best Workout Game out there)
『When my children got Wii - I bought this game for myself. I love it. Originally I used the wii fit - however it is very hard to get a real workout with wii fit. I wanted to lose weight and that was not going to happen using Wii Fit. I have been using My Fitness Coach since last February. I lost 25 pounds from February to June. I love that every day is different, it mixes up all of the routines so that it is never boring. You can choose between cardio, yoga, or spot areas on your body (such as upper body, lower body or core). I usually do a 45 minute cardio workout. I have a step - which significantly increases the sweat factor. Sometimes I do the yoga (which is harder than you think it is going to be) and sometimes I will do just a half hour step routine and then do another half hour of work on my core or upper body. I also like the flexibility choice - it is aerobics with a twist (literally).

I have several other games - which I bought after using this game - none of them even compare. If you want a good workout this is the game for you. I love this game (I feel funny even calling it a game - it is a serious workout tool).』

(One of my favorite fitness titles for the Wii)
『Out of all of the fitness game titles that have been published for the Wii, this really is one of my favorite games, and the price just can't be beat.

This game is very simple to set up, gives you the opportunity to work up a real sweat (IF you choose to take it), and offers a decent fitness test feature. Granted, there are times when I feel like I'm stuck taking a fitness test more often than I'd like (as there's no way around it - if you've got the game in and are ready for a workout, and it just happens to be your fitness test day, you HAVE to do the test before the game will let you access your workout). Even still, though, it's nice to have the game help you gauge your progress, and keep track of your information, regardless of how basic it may be in comparison to other fitness games out there.

The graphics illustrating Maya, the fitness coach, won't win any awards, but the backgrounds are nicely done, and, I find, often soothing. As you progress through your workouts, more music and workout setting options are unlocked, which may prove to be a motivator for you. I find that, with this workout game, I DO get a good workout, and work up quite a sweat. I also find that my muscles ARE sore the next day and the day after. As with any fitness game or gym workout, you'll only get out of it what you put into it, and I enjoy being in the privacy of my own home and STILL getting a good workout in without having to leave to fight others for the machines I want to use.

I own EA Sports Active (the well-known Bob Greene Wii game), Wii Fit Plus, Gold's Gym Cardio Workout (another favorite, as far as upper body workouts go), Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party, and Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party (which, if you set it to Expert and use your Balance Board, you can get a great and SUPER fun workout from in the Dancing With Dweebs game). This game is still one of my favorites, even though it's simple and basic.

If you're looking for a good workout game at a good price, I think this one's worth every penny that you'll spend on it, as long as you're willing to push yourself enough to get a quality workout in.』

(Convenient and fun way to work out!)
『I've done 9 work outs with this game so far. I'm really liking how it tailors to your physical abilities and you have options to choose from in regards to workout, music, setiing, etc. The workout time goes by pretty quickly and you're constantly moving. It's never the same workout twice. The game keeps track of your success (I actually check in tomorrow so I haven't experienced my first tracking yet) and calls you on it when you don't show up. On the other hand, "Maya" gives you props when you show up regularly or workout on an off day. It's almost like working out with a friend without having to go anywhere. I think this game was money well spent!』
『Like Wii games? Are you sweating to Wii Fit but want to take it a step further? Get in shape with your own virtual personal trainer, Maya, in an accessible, convenient and intense fitness program customized to meet your needs.』
『My Fitness Coach is the latest in Nintendo's impressive line of games that prove video game entertainment can be both healthy and fun. Produced by UbiSoft exclusively for the Wii home game system, My Fitness Coach allows players to create, engage in and even track their very own fitness program.

(Better Than Expected)
『This is a great game. There are many game options to choose from, the controls are easy to learn and the graphics are very good. My only complaint is that the font size when viewing team stats, etc is too small for me to see. If you like hockey games, this is a good choice for the Wii.』

(Hey I thought it was good)
『This was my first time getting any nhl game for the wii and i was pleasantly surprised. I thought the controls were going to be akward and difficult but actually they were just the oppisite. skating and shooting were both easy and very fun, not to mention the fights, i loved every minute of it. Sometimes i would purposly do a low blow or high sticking to get into fights, what the heck, its what hockey is about. the graphics are good and superstar mode is amazing. All and all its a great game』

(From a long time hockey gamer)
『Now I've ben playing video hockey games since hat trick for the atari 7800 so I've played a lot of hockey games in my time and in my option this one's pretty good overall. First off the graphics on the game are actually pretty good considering it's on the Wii. I mean after seeing the screen shots I agreed with most people that this looked like a psp game at best, but once I played the game it looked a lot more polished then I was expecting. (The only reason anyone might think it would look bad its because they're comparing it to the HD versions but I'm reviewing the game with the thought that you only have a Wii) As for the rest of the game the sound effects are pretty good and the music is ok though your opinion on this may differ based on your musical tastes. As for the game's control I played the game without the motion plus attachment but I found the game's control pretty good overall as my only gripe with it is the checking motion in the game as sometimes it checks and sometime it poke checks but it wasn't that bad. I also didn't look to see if you could change it in the options so that might not be a gripe. Sadly I didn't get a chance to play the game online so I can't comment on the quality of that. Overall though I found the game to a very good hockey game and easily the best hockey game on the Wii. The only thing I would recommend changing for people who play it is to change the game's speed setting since the default setting seems a bit slow to me for a hockey game. Other than that though I didn't have any things I would change about the game.』

(Ignore the first 2 reviews, this is a very good game)
『Ignore the first two reviews. This game is getting MUCH better reviews everywhere else. CNET rated it excellent (4 out of 5 stars [...]), Gamespot gave it an 8.5 out of 10 (can't post more links right now), and IGN said it is "Impressive" and gave it an 8 out of 10.

Some comments from IGN:
8.0 Gameplay
The core game of hockey is a bit touch-and-go, but once you get the hang of it and start messing with sliders its fun. MotionPlus rocks, even in its preliminary state. More please.
8.5 Lasting Appeal
There's a near-endless amount of modes. If you can get into the core game, 2K10 is one of the largest feature sets in any Wii product. Online is spotty, but case-by-case.

If you like Wii games this is money well spent. If you prefer 360/PS3, get EA NHL 2010. I play on all three consoles, and this is my current hockey game.』

(Meh. Maybe my expectations were a little too high?)
『Each of the past two years, I've bought EA's NHL release for the X-box 360 (NHL 2008 and NHL 2009). While both games had a few drawbacks, they were both a lot of fun to play -- alone, with friends, and online. By comparison, 2K10 for the Wii is pretty terrible.

The Wii isn't an HD console, so it wouldn't really be fair to compare the graphics of this game on the Wii to the graphics of NHL 2009 on the 360; but after playing NHL 2009 on the 360, 2K10 on the Wii is just painful to look at. (I was expecting it to be worse, but I was shocked by how bad they were.)

While I was expecting inferior graphics, I was also expecting the Wiimote-based controls make up for it. Unfortunately, they haven't. (Even with the Wii MotionPlus adapter.) Maybe it just takes more than a few games to get used to, but even something as simple as passing the puck can be an infuriating process. (The act of passing isn't difficult, but the act of passing to the player you want to pass to is quite a feat!)

Shooting -- an essential part of the game, mind you -- is also frustrating. You really do have to take a full swing to get decent power on a slapshot. That's great, in theory, but with the nunchuck tethered to the Wiimote, it's tough to get a full swing without getting tangled in the wire. (Maybe someone with a lesser arm-span doesn't have that problem, but at 6'2", I've found myself running into that problem frequently.) This could probably be corrected with a wireless nunchuck, but I don't really want to fork over more money for more accessories -- especially accessories that duplicate the features of accessories I already have -- just to play one game.

The motion-based controls DO make the game more fun, when they work the way you expect them to. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of getting used to; and even when you feel comfortable, you'll still find yourself wondering what just happened on several occasions per period.

You could play with a classic controller, but at that point, you may as well be playing on a graphically-superior console.』

It's rare in games that failing during a competition can bring you as much joy as actually succeeding, butRayman Raving Rabbidsdoes an admirable job of rewarding your failure with a large dose of comic screams, flying plungers and crossed eyes.

Of course, the point is to succeed and not let the bunnies laugh at your failure.Rayman Raving Rabbidsmay have a lot of style but it has very little plot. Each level consists of four minigame challenges and one "boss battle," so to speak. If you complete at least three of the minigames, the main gate opens, allowing you to take on a greater challenge. Once you play a minigame in the Story Mode, you unlock that minigame and can play it at any time and against friends.

Exercise your Wii Remote
Hand it to Ubisoft's development crew as they really took advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers' capabilities. Some minigames are as simple as twirling the Wii Remote like a lasso and pushing a button to launch a cow as if you were in a hammer throw competition. Some minigames really test your coordinating, asking you to swing the Nunchuk like a jump rope and flicking the Wii Remote up to make Rayman jump.

Each level has one consistant challege, however: a rhythm game. As a song plays, the bunnies approach a spot on either stage left or right. When they hit that spot, you'll shake the Nunchuk (if the bunny is on the left) or the Wii Remote when the rabbid hits the mark.

When you take on the boss stages, you'll find yourself, more often than not, playing a rail shooter. The Wii Remote becomes your light gun, firing plungers at the horde of oncoming rodents. When your plunger supply runs out, shake the Nunchuk to reload. In recent years, the rail shooter (where you don't control the movement) has been forsaken for the first-person shooter and free movement. The Rayman boss experience will make rail shooter fans rejoice. If other shooters can perform as well as the plunger-fueled firing action ofRayman Raving Rabbids, the genre will come back with a vengeance.

Impressive replay value
There's extra incentive to play the many minigames ofRayman Raving Rabbids. When you complete a game in Challenge Mode, the game gives you a code that you can enter at the Rayman Web site which basically gives you access to special features on the site.

The minigames ofRayman Raving Rabbidsskew toward a younger audience, and at first, an above-average gamer should find the games to be pretty easy. However, once the minigames are unlocked, a big challenge awaits you to get the highest scores and blast your friends in multiplayer challenges. That's when the real party begins! Rayman delivers exactly what the Wii promises: fun and lots of it. Here's hoping the bunnies come back for multiple invasions!

(Too much like a computer game)
『I bought this game for my 4-year-old daughter thinking it would be a cute Wii game for her. She has the Jumpstart computer games and it is the first game I have seen with the Early Childhood rating on it. I agree with most of the other reviewers in that it has educational aspects and is fairly easy to navigate. She already has the Dora Snow Princess game (which she loves) and I was looking forward to more active and interactive gaming; however, this game plays exactly like a computer game. You use the wii remote like a mouse and basically just point and click on different things. In the Dora game you have to do different activities within the game, ex. tilt remote to walk, move in circular motion to raise flags, tilt back and forth to climb, etc. This is not the case in the Jumpstart game.
That being said, this game is definately not terrible, it just does not take advantage of all of the unique ways that the Wii can be used. It may be a good option for someone who does not have the Jumpstart computer games.』

(Wii Pet Rescue)
『I bought this so my grandchildren could play with the Wii. They really enjoyed it. This is for preschoolers and up.』

(A Game for my Granddaughter)
『I received a "wish list" for my Granddaughter's birthday. This game was on it so I purchased
it.

She is very happy with her game and plays it every day.』

(Frustrating for pre-schoolers)
『I'm a grandfather with a 3 year old grandson. I wanted a game that he could enjoy and get involved with. It was also important that he be able to do it by himself, so that he would get the satisfaction of accomplishment.
Unfortunately, at many times this game is frustrating. It is very hard for him to move the character around. Perhaps this would be easy if this were a PC game and he could use a mouse. Instead, the WII controllers are very sensitive and I have often seen him patiently trying to get the WII hand over an action icon and hold it there while trying to press the A button. In fact, I have to concentrate very hard myself to navigate this game. If you try to use the cross pad keys to move your character, it moves so quickly that it zooms past the target position and once again causes great frustration. We tried the nunchuck instead, but it is even harder to control. He gets stuck in places and can't move. He can jump, but can't jump OVER anything (the game doesn't allow it.) Sometimes the game locks up and the console has to be restarted. Sometimes objects in the game simply go white. If you move around it, the color of the object is back. Most of things in the game are too small to be clicked. If you approach a character to talk to it, the game leaves you positioned in front of the character where you can't see the character as he speaks. Children don't like this. They want to see the characters talk. So now, instead of feeling that I'd given him a nice gift, I feel that I am torturing him. He DOES like the game, but watching him struggle to use the over sensitive controls is nerve-wracking for me. It would be great if the control sensitivity could be turned down, but I don't see a way to do it. So my rating is that it's just OK.』

(Fun game with lots of variety)
『My five-year-old granddaughter loves this game. It has two modes - explorer mode and story mode. In explorer mode, she can go to any world and play with any pet. In story mode, she has to complete tasks in order to find and play with the pets. In either mode, she can name, feed, and bathe the pets. Taking care of the pets is her favorite part. Both modes are easy for her to play. She needed a little help the first time, but now she can play it by herself with very little assistance. That is important to her - she likes being independent. There is a "movie theater" in one of the play areas. The movie theater has a few fun little sing-a-long movies that get the kids up and moving. There are a number of other fun activities that she enjoys, including painting billboards, going to the library, delivering mail, and changing her character's appearance. There's a lot of variety in the game, so it keeps her engaged. She would play this game all day if we let her.』
『Join the JumpStart friends in a rich world full of learning, music, and creativity! JumpStart Pet Rescue contains 5 Discovery worlds where Preschoolers navigate through 5 stories in a search for lost pets. Each Discovery world contains a guided story told by one of the JumpStart friends, leading children on a learning adventure through more than 50 learning lessons and 20 activities that teach kids over 75 essential skills they need to succeed. As kids progress through the adventures, they improve their pre-reading skills, memory, creativity, motor skills, listening and much more!』

(Too Easy!)
『Playing this game alone against the computer is way too easy. The computer family always loses and in a dozen games I have only seen them get a correct answer once. The fast money round is also way too easy, with the number one answers being very obvious and usually worth 60 or 70 points. Because of this you can usually beat the fast money round with only one turn and not have to go to the other member of your family to pick up any points. I had to try to dumb my answers down to make it more challenging. The two player mode was more fun, but I still don't think it is worth the price.

Even though it is really easy to win, some of the answers are really bizzare. For instance, one question was about a down-side to eating peanut butter. Well, we got the obvious answers such as sticky, messy, etc., but we couldn't think of the last answer at all. It was diharrea. What!!!! I'm not joking! Is this a common problem with eating peanut butter that I didn't know about? I don't think so. Several other questions had a weird answer thrown in too.

Overall this game is a kinda fun way to spend some time, and it is good to play with a friend, but it gets old fast because it isn't challenging.』

(Could have easilly been much better)
『This game makes me really have to wonder about Ubisoft, the company who created the game. While I haven't encountered any major software issues yet, the game could use a truckload of improvement. First off the 15 second's they give you to enter your answer is far to short for some people. My wife and I were able to do it most of the time but if you accidentally mess up a letter or something good luck. It does do a little in the way of guessing the answer your trying to input however usually you have to enter a few letters before your answer comes up. But some people aren't as quick with the wii remote and possibly the layout of a keyboard. I remember a jeopardy game for ps2 that gave you the option to extend the input time. It's very disturbing that that isn't an option here. Actually other than some volume settings there are no options whatsoever to customize the game.
Next the answers themselves are sometimes impossible. One question we got "Other names people call a Nerd" or something. And some of the answers were jerk and idiot. Who would guess those? And most of the questions had answers like this. It looks like the game developers just took whatever answer someone said and put it in. If the question was What color is the sky? And someone said Ford Focus as an answer that would be in the game. I'm sure the TV show does not do the same thing. Then as other people said sometimes the connections between what you said and the answer it gives credit for is not the same. One time we entered in fork and got buzzed but entered spoon and got credit for silverware. Last time I checked a spoon and a fork were both silverware. Other then this, the game looks sort of like TV show but the whole thing seems to just have been done on the cheep. It's just a way to cash in on the "family party games". If you absolutely must have this game it will do but just wait a few months and it will be 19.99 or less. Hopefully some company will come along who actually cares about making TV game show video games.』

(Tons of continous family fun!)
『Excellent game! Great for GAME NIGHT! I am a big fan of family feud and i did like that everyone loved it! This game was a success at my game night! Now of course I think we can do better with the avatar selections and have more of variety but besides that I got my $'s worth.』

(A Classic!)
『I've always been a huge fan of the Family Feud tv show, so I had high
expectations for this game. I wasn't disappointed! The graphics are amazing,
they really did a superb job replicating the set...it's as if you were right
there! The questions are diverse and there's a ton of them, It gets quickly
addictive... I've been playing for hours and still haven't even passed the
6th family in single mode! I originally thought it would be difficult to
type in the answers with the Wii remote, but the A.I anticipates what you're
trying to type super quickly and offers you a bunch of words from which you
can choose from...so no time wasting there. I've only played single mode so
far but will definitely challenge my family over the Holidays! Great game.』

(Good Game)
『I like this game. It's fun and a lot like the game show you see on TV. The only thing I didn't like about the game was that you create only one player per team as the "leader" and then the game defaults the rest of your family. I was really hoping that you could customize each player on your team.

During the game, it takes some adjustment to type in your answer because you are using the Wii remote to do so by pointing at each letter on the screen and you only have so many seconds to get the answer in. The good news is that the game shows words on the screen that it thinks you are trying to spell and if you see it, then you can just point at the word. Overall, I do like the game and it's fun for our family to play together.』

(Good Station)
『We've had this for a year now and it works well. It takes about 3-4 hours for a complete charge (we run the controller until it dies each time) and the charge lasts for a long time. We use the case that the controller comes in so have not had experience with "rusting" like a previous reviewer has as the case covers the charging prongs. Have yet to find a defect in this- and I HATE buying batteries so this is perfect for us. The only down side is the charging time which is only normal.』

(Great while it lasts)
『I have had this product for about 1 year. The charging station has been touchy the entire time, but it has worked just fine. Now however, the batteries have gone completely bad where they do not hold ANY charge. I understand batteries getting worse and worse over time, but they both failed on me at the exact same time and it happened all of the sudden---it was not gradual. One even started leaking the fluid into my controller. I would not buy this product again.』

(Tired of changing out batteries?)
『then this charging station is for you. We've had this for about 2 years and it's worked out beautifully. It comes with the rechargeable batteries and has a backing that you change out for the original peices so you won't accidentaly charge any extra wii-motes that aren't rechargeable. Better yet, it gives your kids a place to store the wii-motes.』

(Not a long lasting product)
『I have owned this charger for 2 years now and its all but stopped working. the sweat from your hands rust the charging contacts on the battery pack and after awhile the pack doesnt hold a charge anymore. Looking into a new charging system by Energizer. It had induction charging』

(Great)
『Don't be fooled by the cute cover art, this game is not easy. It's pretty challenging at times. Especially the bosses. I think many children would probably need to have help to play this game. Especially if they're used to a platformer being like Mario. A Boy and His Blob is a more of a puzzle game than a full on platformer.

There are 40 story levels and within each story level are 3 hidden chests. When you find all 3 chests in a level you unlock a challenge level. So there are a total of 80 levels. When you complete the challenge levels you unlock extras. Which are things like videos, artwork and other things.

The visuals are fantastic. Great animation, the music is great as well. There is also a button for hugging the Blob. Very important for keeping your Blob happy. The Blob gets frustrated and turns red if he gets stuck or overworked. He'll get distracted by frogs and other small critters and is just too cute.』

(Surprisingly, one of the more fun games I've played lately)
『A Boy and his Blob is a very entertaining puzzle platformer, with creative challenges, little frustration, and a fun atmosphere. Its cute demeanor and very light difficulty early on masks the more difficult challenge later on, as the game steadily increases in difficulty to keep the player engaged. The game is slowly paced, as the boy cannot run, must stop to throw beans for the blob to eat, and cannot even run and throw beans at the same time. This isn't a problem when you're making forward progress, but when you must retrace your steps, it can become frustrating. Luckily the levels required to complete the story have checkpoints all over the place to limit the need to recover ground, although the optional challenge levels do not have checkpoints. Those levels do tend to be more challenging and more rewarding than the required levels, though. This game, which is packed with 80 levels, can be slow at times but in the end, I found it to be as fun as any game I've played lately. I recommend it to fans of sidescrolling platformers who don't mind going slowly as they also solve puzzles.』

(Wonderful Game)
『A excellent puzzle/platformer. Rich graphics and tons of levels. The challenge is high but not impossible. A wonderfull experience.』

(One of the few truly must-own Wii games not made by Nintendo)
『The gist of this game is that it's a side-scrolling 2D puzzler. The aim is to collect 3 chests on each of 10 stages on 4 separate worlds. In addition, there are 10 challenge stages on each world, making for a total of 80 levels. At the end of the 10th stage on each world, you must defeat a boss, for a total of 4 bosses. As the boy, you give out jelly beans to your blob. Each jelly bean transmogrifies your blob into a different tool, such as a ladder, a cannon, a bouncy ball, a hole in the ground, etc. You have to figure out how to use your blob's abilities to get from point A to point B while collecting the chests (collect all three to unlock the bonus challenge stage) along the way. Thus, the basic concept is fairly straightforward and simple, and so is the presentation. There's almost no voice work, except a couple of lines that the boy says to call the blob toward him. The music is completely unobtrusive, and there is not much animation except for the boy, the blob, and variously shaped black blobs (some look a little like frogs or bulls). The backgrounds are basically 2D paintings.

While this game does not do a lot, what it does it does very, very well. It's one of the most visually pleasing games I've ever seen for any console. The mechanics are pretty much perfect. The puzzles can be challenging, but not too challenging. And this game has charm up the wazoo. Like most games, you can "die". However, this is the first game I've ever played in which I didn't want to die not because it's a hassle (it's actually not that big of a hassle because you have an infinite number of lives, and you aren't forced to restart the entire stage if you do die) but because I didn't want to see the character on screen die. If you are a parent, especially one with a small child, it will break your heart every time the boy dies. This is particularly so for me because my two-year-old son, who loves watching me play this game (he's always asking for "boy and ghost"), looks a lot like the boy. By the way, the box-cover art doesn't really look like the in-game images of the boy and the blob. Maybe it's just me, but every time the boy falls down a pit, screaming on the way down, I feel bad. Every time the boy drops to the ground and lies there lifeless, I feel bad. That emotional element is not something I've gotten from a Mario or Zelda game, though those are fantastic games.

One of the few negatives about this game, though, is that you can only have 1 save at a time. Therefore, you and your buddy can't each have a game going. And once you beat the game, there probably isn't a tremendous amount of replayability. With that being said, it's a fun game, a very well done game, will connect with many of you emotionally, and is beautiful to look at. If you like to have a variety of games, this is really worth picking up. You can play it in small chunks or all at once. I highly recommend.

(Great Fun and Learning for My 6 Yeal Old!)
『This is a great game for my 6 year old! It is entertaining and at the same time nurtures problem solving skills. Definitely better than watching television.

My 4 year old watches my 6 year old play and learns from it too.

I highly recommend this game over all other titles that I own for a 6 year old.』

The Story
When the distant world of Blobolonia is threatened by an evil and frightening emperor, one of its denizens, a being known as a blob, makes the world-changing decision to stand up for what is right. This brings about his journey to Earth in search of help for his world. Here he discovers two unexpected things, the friendship and loyalty of a young boy and an overwhelming love for jellybeans of various flavors. Both will prove important before this adventure is through. Help the blob dethrone the evil emperor that's terrorizing Blobolonia and establish a friendship with the blob that will last a lifetime.

A Boy and his Blobis a side-scrolling platformer that teams the player up with the game's namesake amorphous blob as you navigate 80 game levels that make up the dangerous terrain of Blobolonia and take on the baddies and bosses that are terrorizing it. Your main weapon in this is the power of the Blob to transform himself into a variety of useful forms. There are 15 of these, and all are initiated by specifically flavored jellybeans. Just a few of the flavor/forms that can be expected are Caramel Cannon, Bubble Gum Bouncer, Licorice Ladder, Apple Jack and Tangerine Trampoline. During gameplay the Blob's transformative powers are balanced by the relative weakness and limited movement of the boy, but it's through his hands, and the jellybeans he tosses, that the powers of the Blob reach their height.

Key Game Features

  • Experience the heartwarming story through an all-new, hand-drawn and animated presentation designed exclusively for Wii.
  • Teamwork is key: the boy has limited movement and strength, so you must use your blob friend to transform into useful objects to get to things or places the boy cannot access alone.
  • Transform the blob into 15 useful items by feeding him jelly beans such as the all-new Caramel Cannon and Bubble Gum Bouncer and classic beans like the Licorice Ladder, Apple Jack and Tangerine Trampoline.

(Wii Music)
『Everybody enjoys playing the instruments even my 2 year old granddaughter. A nice family game.』

(Fun for All Ages)
『When I first received this game as a Christmas present I thought it would be entertaining for a while and that eventually I would lose interest. That's the farthest thing from what's happened. Not only do I continue to play it repeatedly but now my son (almost 4 yrs old) is playing with me and it's a lot of fun for both of us.

The extra games, such as pitch perfect is a little boring for me, but the harmony bells are probably one of my favorites!

The backgrounds could be a little more exciting and watching through an entire video can be boring (which where were a fast forward), but overall, this is a really fun game for any age and it's something that you can play alone or have fun with a group.』

(Not for musicians)
『I bought this game because it was advertised for letting users be creative to create their own music. However, you cannot compose music via notes. Instead, it picks the notes for you based on your movement which is not reproducible (or maybe there's some secret to doing this). It's a gimmick like all the other music games and can be a cheap trill for a limited time. Compared to other music games and other Wii titles, I feel the content in this game is also very limited.

The ear training part is nice though.』

(Wii Music)
『Unlike popular music games such as Guitar Hero or Rockband, Wii-music is not competitive in nature and is more creative-based. Instead, wii-music is based more around music education, showing you different musical styles and encouraging the player to experiment with them.

Also, the game features three minigames that ARE competitve and are scored. Mii Maestro puts you in the positon of an orchestra conductor, in which you are scored based on your ability to hold the tempo and conduct at the right emotions and intensity. Handbell Harmony is sort of guitar-hero esque in that it gives you a specific part to play and you must hit the right note at the right time (which is as close as the player will come to being a "real" musician.) Pitch Perfect trains your ears- you are given a sample tone and three other tones and must match the pitch. Also, you are shown a band and are asked to identify which person is playing an incorrect note.

I will say that the game is geared toward non-musicians, leading to the fact that you don't need musical experience to play (in fact, if you DO have musical experience, you will probably find it boring). Musicians will also have the ability to detect certain points in which the game strays from musical protocol-for example, in Mii Maestro, you must wave your arm up in down in a relatively straight line for the signal to register. If you were to have a distinct downbeat and pattern (all of the songs for Maestro are in 4/4) like a REAL conductor, the signal will stray from the sensor strip, and the band will stop playing and give the "what are you doing"? look directly at the screen.

All in all, I would recommend this to someone who wants to learn more about music, or has kids that want to start taking lessons. Its a good thing for developing a sense of timing. If you are an accomplished musician, however, you should pass it up. Instead, Practice Practice Practice.』

(wee music)
『purchased this for my grandson but felt it was cumbersome to use.....unlike other wii
games which you can instantly enjoy......tedious to play』

『When it comes to music and rhythm games,Wii Musicstands in a class of its own. Unlike other music games, which penalize players if they don't play perfectly,Wii Musicis a musical playground where there are no mistakes. Gameplay: Getting Your Band Together
InWii Musicevery band has six members: Two play the main melody, two cover the percussion beats, one covers the bass groove and one uses the song's chords to support the melody. As a band, the six members often play their special parts at the same time, though each player can jam however and whenever he or she wants. Play all at once. Take turns in the spotlight. Pair up in creative ways throughout the song. You can bring the band to life by yourself, playing one part at a time-or with up to four players. See game mode below:

Tutes: Your Own Private Back-up Band
When not playing with friends, you can invite jam masters known as Tutes to play with you. They'll join a session playing an instrument that each thinks is strong for a specific song. You can simply enjoy the musical camaraderie, or pick up instrument tips by watching them jam. If you choose to watch, the Tutes will show you lots of techniques for many of these instruments, then ask you to follow their examples. They'll start with the simplest techniques, then as you master each one, show you even more nuanced ones.

Key Game Features:

60+ Instruments
You can play most of the 60-plus instruments inWii Musicusing simple motions with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers. Strum to play guitar, banjo and sitar. Drum to play jazz drums, congas and marching drums. Hammer away to play piano, vibraphone and marimba. Unlike most music games, Wii Music doesn't make you use complex buttons. You only need to imitate playing the instrument.Wii Musicoffers virtually endless ways to make music.

Fun Beyond the Jam
Designed with classic Wii gameplay in mind,Wii Musicincludes many other modes and play options besides the main band jams, including several musical games and an enhanced video playback mode for recorded jams.

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review
(Worst.One.Ever)
『After playing this game I felt this review had to be done. First let me say I was so excited about this game and it had such great potential but this is absolutely the worst RE game I have EVER played(to be honest I haven't played all of them but my husband has and this too is his review). Yes the graphics are amazing, defiantly better than any of the other games which is why I gave it a two star instead of a one like I really wanted to do. If you like a game where you don't have to do much battle with the zombies then this is the game for you but if you're like me and like the battles with large groups of them then this is not the game for you. The camera doesn't give you anytime to line up a shot and is constantly bouncing around so if you have a headache or are pron to motion sickness this is not the game for you either. Even though I was excited about this game it is now my least favorite and will be sold.』

(The Dimside Chronicles)
『WARNING: Spoilers in Review

The game is decent, it's highly enjoyable for the hardcore fan of the RE series and is a good abridged version of the series, but it has a few glaring flaws that taint it . . .

Some can be found in the storyline. Leon claims that Krauser disappeared, but in part 4 he can't believe that Krauser is alive after the "helicopter accident." I suppose one can argue that the story is being retold from a time before part 4, but still, if you're familiar with the original storyline, you'll find more of these . . . shortcomings. (If you can, mute your television whenever Alfred and Alexia Ashford speak.) There's also the "extra" chapter 6, which is Chapter 5 again, but with additional commentary by Krauser. Seriously?! It makes you wonder if they're even trying anymore . . . Adding to this insult to gamers, it's a solo chapter and unbelievably difficult. Why even make a co-op game that isn't co-op? Your partner is right there! So stupid . . .

Other flaws are found in the game play. The shaky camera wouldn't be so bad (and I agree it contributes to the atmosphere - but it is mostly style with relatively little substance = unforgivable). I swear, it seems most of the time you could use with a decent camera (not wobbling all over the place with something RIGHT in front of you) is given to the "suspenseful" parts where you walk by sleeping zombies which could attack at "any" time. I'm inclined to believe the horrible camera is probably a gimmick to extend the levels longer than they have to be. Also, grenades and other weapons of mass destruction like the rocket launcher and grenade launcher are unbelievably weak against bosses. Hit detection is horrible. Bosses only flinch during specific periods: pump their weak spots full of lead and watch them flinch 3 seconds later.

I like the game because of the great memories of the games being (in essence) butchered by this one, so it appeals to my sentimentality. However, the game play and several inconsistencies are difficult to overlook. If you're new to the series, try it out. If your expectations are low and you didn't fall for the hype, then by all means, have at it. Otherwise . . . watch someone else play it on YouTube or something. (I know I'm highly critical of the game, but it gets three stars since I'm a sucker for RE and its downfalls were not enough to make me hate it after wanting to like it so much . . .)』

(Here we go again)
『A follow up to their successful on-rails shooter Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles follows the same formula to a tee. Placing you in the shoes of Leon and Claire and featuring locales, scenarios, and enemies from Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil: Code Veronica; The Darkside Chronicles features the same fun and frantic shooting action that its predecessor did before it. You can upgrade your weapons and unlock bonuses, which gives the game a bit more of replayability that it wouldn't have had otherwise, plus from a technical standpoint, Darkside Chronicles is visually superior to the original. Where the game falters however definitely lies with its shaky, schizo camera, which makes aiming more of a chore than it should be. Not to mention that your AI-controlled partner is practically useless; both of which are glaring flaws to an otherwise great game. True, the Wii has no shortage of solid on-rails shooters, and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles can be added to that list as well. Despite its few, significant flaws, the game remains a fun blast to play, and is wholeheartedly worth your time.』

(A Great Game For Resident Evil Fans But At The End The Same As Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles)
『After playing the Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles I was sure I'd be amazed at how great this next release would be, and for the most part I was right but there is some letdown with the game as well. The game does support better graphics during the game and you get great visual cut scenes that you can replay after finishing the level but the controls and the way it feels is so reminiscent of REUC that it feels a little like deja vu to much to say it's really different from the previous game as some advertiser have said. The game allows you to customize your weapons but instead of gaining star points to do it you have to find gold and when you have enough than upgrade which will take a while to do for some weapons, also there is no camera control at all in this game so you can't use the nunchuck to scope around the level looking for hidden cache of items like REUC allowed but unlike REUC you can save up on health plants to use latter on in a crunch instead of using it automatically like the REUC game did. You also can see how you did with your score over the Nintendo's WI-FI against other players on the net and see your standing which is kind of neat. The game like REUC has three game stories the first has you play either Leon Kennedy or Jack Krauser in South America looking for a dictator who might have acquired a known virus weapon, the second has you playing wither Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield as you try to escape Raccoon City after it's been overrun by zombies(RE 2), and the third will have you play either Claire Redfield or Steve Burnside trying to escape from the infested again(RE Code Veronica X). So at the end for all Resident Evil fans here's a great release to get for your gaming collection today and for fans who might be interested I'd advise trying the demo at a friends or game store first to see if the game is for you you might just get a kick out of the game enough to buy it too...』

(Capcom's Creative Liberties)
『- This review contains a few spoilers -

I reviewed RE 5 after completing it; so I feel compelled to review "The Darkside Chronicles," as well. This is a good game. The visuals and audio have been greatly improved from "The Umbrella Chronicles," and the gameplay feels more solid. I was pleasantly surprised to hear all of the familiar voices from Claire, Ada, Leon (RE 4 version), and Jack Krauser, as well as the excellent, orchestral renditions of the most notable themes and sequences from RE 2 and Code: Veronica.

However, although I was pleased to see that Capcom had portrayed RE 2's storyline accurately and enjoyably, the same sadly can not be said for Code: Veronica's content. Just like "The Umbrella Chronicles" and RE 5 before it, "The Darkside Chronicles" is another victim of Capcom's use of creative liberties. Gone are many of Code: Veronica's most famous scenes, such as Wesker's fights with Alexia and Chris, and the scene of Alexia's awakening is now rushed and no longer features the moving "The Ending of the Beginning" music track from the original game. Speaking of which, when did Alexia giggle and hum like a dizzy blonde? When I finished this chapter of the game, I was left asking, "What was so wrong with the original storyline? Why did Capcom have to change the things that they did?" This just proves that the RE universe is so convoluted with differing stories and types of gameplay that Capcoms simply doesn't know what to do with the series. However, I must admit the creative liberties used in this game could've been a lot worse (ie. RE 5).

In all, despite the notable differences in Code: Veronica's content, "The Darkside Chronicles" is a fun game and improves upon the foundations set by its predecessor in nearly every, single way. Of course, I wish we still had Richard Wough's terrific voice playing Wesker and the original Code: Veronica storyline, and the game was a bit short. But I can't help but feel pleased with how much quality shines from this summary entry of the RE series, even for an on-rails shooter.』

『Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield return in this thrilling co-op arcade shooter that relives classic moments from Resident Evil 2 and more. Battle the undead with a friend as you enter a horrific world in which the lines between good and evil are blurred and where the ultimate fight begins with your dark side.』
Resident Evil: The Darkside Chroniclesis the sequel to Capcom's highly successful, million-selling Wii title,Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles. A rail shooter with an included two-player co-op play option,The Darkside Chroniclesis set within a new compelling story which sees the return of series favorites Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield to the fray in new and classic levels. The game also contains customizable weapons, a wealth of collectibles and a dynamic difficulty feature that automatically adjusts to players' abilities, which together ensure a fun, yet challengingResident Evilgaming experience, regardless of skill level.

New Enemies and Familiar Faces
Unlike the evil enemies you fought against in the previous story, inResident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, players will fight against the characters' own inner demons, adding a whole new level of terror. Balancing this out, two of the most popular characters of the overall series and heroes of the belovedResident Evil 2, Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, make their return. As unconventional heroes, the two start out the game as ordinary individuals who are thrown into terrorizing situations where their own fear is their biggest enemy. Featuring a brand new storyline that will fill in missing pieces of the "Chronicles" series,Resident Evil: The Darkside Chroniclesleads players into a horrific world where the lines between good and evil are blurred and the fight begins with your dark side.

Rail Shooter Action with New Features
The game's arcade, rail shooter gameplay, first featured inResident Evil:The Umbrella Chronicles, in which players follow a set path through the game, has been radically upgraded inResident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. Along with this, the game contains a horde of new features, including the major additions of a sub-screen which allows for weapon configuration and use of recovery items regardless of time progression, and a new system that allows players to modify the difficulty level according to their playing skills that brings accessibility and fun to both the hardcore and casual gamer alike.

Coop Gameplay
Continuing in the survival horror tradition,Resident Evil: The Darkside Chroniclesincreases the thrills and chills with an enhanced two-player co-op mode in which players will be able to follow their partners on the same screen. Their conversations and interactions have also been improved to create a more intense co-op experience.

(Mama don't be so mean!)
『I love you Mama, truly I do. I've tried everything in order to please you&in the past that seemed enough. When I succeeded, you were deliriously happy. When I failed, you got a little angry but you said that you'd help fix everything. It was out of the love of our previous relationship that I decided to continue under your tutelage again.

Now it just seems like our relationship has worn thin. Rather than encouraging me when I fail you now mumble untelligible statments towards me. I can't make it out entirely, but when you say "You're none of mine"&something about hitting me, a part of me dies inside&wonders if this is really healthy behavior towards me&my siblings. And I do fail more often now because the daggone utensils are so much harder to work than they were in the past. Maybe it's just the system keeping us down, but somehow I can't help but wonder if it's you. Did Father treat you badly this go round?

Yet when I do my work perfectly, you praise me... except for those times you jumped out at me in strange garb&makeup, shouting something in a language I just don't understand. Didn't I do good, Mama? Why do you have to frighten me so?

And then there's those foreign exchange students you keep introducing me to. It was a bit hard to figure out exactly where I was in the game, but eventually I figured it out. They weren't the brightest bricks in the bunch, so it was occasionally easy to best them.

I guess in the end, Mama... I still love you, despite your shortcomings. I'll continue to come back home every time I can&I'll buy everything you recommend that I do. It's not as good as it was in our old digs, but it's still fun for me. Maybe it won't be as fun for the other kids out there, but I think that most will still enjoy visiting you every once in a while.』

(very nice)
『this game is very nice, my litle uncle are hapinees because can ply cooking mama』

(Good game for young kids and parents)
『We bought this game for my daughter (3) and son (5) for Christmas last year. They really like it and are able to play along. There is some precision that is required. It's a little boring for the adults; however, fun to watch the kids play.』

(Lame!!!)
『What a snoozer. Its the same repeative motions throughout the game. You peel a couple of vegetables, then chop them, then fry them with a shake of the Wiimote. And for the challenge segment you touch the salt shaker, wait a few seconds, twist the Wiimote, wait a few seconds, turn the Wiimote, wait a few seconds, click on a leek, wait a few seconds, twist the Wiimote...I think you get the idea.

On a scale of 0 = terrible and 100 = greatest game ever: as a game its a 10 (out of 100), as a cooking tutorial its an 11 (out of 100). The music is the same rehash garbage from every other cutesy Japanese game. But what astounds me is Cooking Mama's voice sounds a Japanese girl trying to speak English with a German accent. It amazes me how well she pulls that sound off, I sure hope it was intentional.

When I say pass on this game, I mean pass it through the window into the outside garbage can. It will stink up your kitchen if you throw it away inside.』
