Granted I do not have Xbox Live a friend of mine does and thats how I got to experience the online part. I really like how people complain about the length of modern video games. Do you people not remember old atari and nes games ? Some of them could be easily beaten in a half hour ! Granted with modern technology people expect more and I clearly better than anyone understand that. Lets put it this way if you have a shorter game your more apt to replay it again. If you have a 50 hour game are you really going to go back to it ? I dunno maybe its just my preference but I enjoy a shorter game thats between 5 to 12 hours.
Graphics - By Xbox standards this is a masterpiece and really raised the bar for what first person shooters can look like on a home console for its generation.
Gameplay - Its pretty simple if you enjoyed Halo Combat Evolved you are going to enjoy this one with great controls that set the bar for what a console game can do.
Replayability - Is all how much you love this game and I know most will like it and others will think its just hype. If you have XBOX Live chances are you are going to love it.
Pros - Great graphics, exceptional use of analog thumbsticks, pretty interesting story for a game, multiplayer is fun with friends and is also fun online and the newest addition in this game THE SWORD !

(Fine if you care more about multiplayer games) 『Halo 2 is a game that really starts well, but piddles out in the final acts of its single-player campaign. The story of this game falls into clichés and doesn't really try to surprise the gamer; most of the game is just predictable and offers far less replay value than its predecessor.
The game just goes on, and on, and on without getting much done for its story, and aside from two levels taking place on Earth there aren't many levels that offer much in the ways of entertainment and replay value. Also, the feeling of the game feels very cheap, and light compared to its predecessor, which offered some legitimately intense gaming moments (such as the introduction of the Flood). This game offers little worth remembering, aside from cool things you do on Xbox Live. The game's single-player is just weak compared to the original game. If this was the game we got in 2001 Xbox would have certainly been sunk.
The character designs are a downgrade, I'm afraid to say. The Marines units have been reduced to what I'd expect soldiers to be wearing in CNN newsreel footage and they do not look like they are from the future in any way. This is just one of my many complaints about the feel of this game. The first game you felt like you actually were serving a purpose and providing help (key word being "help") for the human forces. Everything about this game can be summed up by "Run in. Shoot stuff. Cut scene. Repeat." There never is really anything to challenge the gamer, other than whether or not he/she can shoot something enough that it dies, and then they have a cliché plot revolving around this concept (Serious, most of the missions you're goal is "You must kill this dude/thing").
Halo 2 does offer some positive things. The graphics are top notch, really improving upon the engines used in the previous game. Visually a lot of work obviously went into making this game look good, and visually Halo 2 has little in the way of flaws. It is probably one of the best games to look at in the original Xbox's inventory. The main aspect of Halo 2 that makes it worth playing is the online multiplayer, and I do believe Bungie put more effort into this aspect of the game than the actual game's campaign. However, if you're like me and seldom have access to Xbox Live you're gonna care more for the single-player campaign.
It's a fun game especially for people who enjoy co-op and online multiplayer matches, but for someone looking for a thrilling 1st person experience such as that provided in the original game you'd best steer away from this game or lower your expectations. That being said this game is 50x better than the rip-off that was Halo 3. 』

Opening Scene
Halo 2opens with a cut scene in the Covenant Holy City of High Charity. Much has happened since Master Chief (that's you) created so much havoc for the Covenant in the firstHalo, and the Arbiter has much atoning to do for his failures. This first cut scene is long, but the lush graphics, orchestral sound, and polished voice talent for both this and other cut scenes as well as the game itself put most animated television shows to shame.

In the end, though,Halo 2is unabashedly a first-person shooter. It has a Mature rating and is not meant for kids. Gameplay is constant and intense. No sooner is one bunch of aliens taken care of than another descends. The controls are identical to the first game so those familiar with it will be up and blasting in no time. And the sound and graphics have been beefed up so thatHalo 2is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful console games available.
Opening Fire
Most of the weapons from the first game return, although strangely the MA5B Assault Rifle (the default weapon in the first game) is not available. There is a single melee weapon known as the Covenant Sword, but the controls for it are the same as that for all the shooter weapons, making it difficult to direct. Also, for a new twist, you can hold two of the smaller guns at the same time and shoot double-fisted.
As for vehicles, the old favorites are back and joined by a few new, mostly Covenant wheeled monsters. Some improvements have been made to the AI so that the nonplayer characters can drive without running into too many obstacles while you man the turret. This improved AI also has enemies ducking for cover, and the banter from both the Marines and the bad guys has undergone massive improvements so that it no longer sounds quite so repetitive.
On Your Own
The most significant change in the single-player game is with Master Chief's much-touted defensive suit. At the beginning of the game, he is told that the suit has been upgraded, but it's really undergone a severe downgrade. InHalo 2, the player has only one lifeline. Unlike in the first game, there is basically no defensive shield on the suit, making gameplay tougher. It can often take multiple--sometimes a maddening number--attempts to make it through thorny parts of the game.

Finally, no review of aHalogame is complete without mentioning multiplayer. One of the main reasons to buyHalo 2is the ability to play through Xbox Live, a feature not included in the first game, which was among the original releases for the Xbox. Multiplayer forHalo 2uses all of the same weapons and vehicles as in the single-player game, and the types of games available inHalo(King of the Hill, Slayer, Capture the Flag) return with a host of new maps. MultiplayerHalo 2offers customizable profiles, control layout, and screens as well as a voice proximity feature, where you can talk with other players via an Xbox Communicator so that those closer to you sound louder than those farther away. Players can also create both permanent clans and temporary parties in the Xbox Live world. (One of the best first shooter games ever) 『This game is awesome. I have a lot of fun playing it. You get to use a lot of cool weapons. My favorite weapons in this game are the assault rifle, sniper rifle (the sniper is really good against the elites because it kills them with one hit) plasma rifle and the rocket launcher. Another fun thing to do in this game is the melee attacks. Those grunts are so funny when you smack 'em with your gun. I like sneaking up behind the grunts and elites and smacking 'em, it kills them instantly. Unfortunatly this is hard to do to the jackels because they're more self aware and it especailly won't work on the hunters. The best way to kill the hunters is with a rocket launcher which is not always available to you so I'd say use a vehicle or shoot the crap out of 'em with a plasma, assault or sniper rifle or use a turrent gun. My favorite vehicles are the ghost, the banshee and my top favorite is the tank. This game is a every fun shooter game.』

This is the answer to your prayers if your leg tires out in Rock Band songs, or if you want to play the Expert+ mode in the latest Guitar Hero games.
As long as you can alternate your legs (I play heel-up), this effectively allows each leg to play half as fast. If you're not an actual drummer, there may be an initial learning curve when adding one more appendage to your drumming, but it is well worth it.
"Fade to Black" by MetallicA is twice as fun with this on Expert+!

(Double Bass action) 『Since this is the official replacement Rock Band 2 bass pedal, you would expect it to perform identical to the orignal that came with the Rock Band 2 drum set, and it does.
The pedal can be used as a replacement pedal or as a second pedal with the included double bass adapter. (needs 2AAA batteries, not included) When using the adapter, you plug both bass pedals into the adapter and then plug the adapter into the drum set. There is a selector switch on the adapter that lets you change the compatibility mode (360/PS3/Rock Band/Guitar Hero/etc).
Now, there's a catch to using the adapter, which makes the adapter work much better when drumming but you'll lose a tiny bit of functionality when navigating the song lists. The catch is that the adapter sends a short "on" signal to the drum set telling it that you pressed the pedal down and then turns the signal back to "off". This is great when using two pedals at the same time because it keeps them from interfering with each other when going for those lightning fast bass hits. In essence, you can press one pedal down and keep it down and then press the second bass pedal at the same time and it will still register a bass hit. This is a much better solution that simply using a splitter because when using a splitter, if you hold one pedal down you will get no response from the second bass pedal until you release the first pedal. It's easy to miss notes when using a splitter, but you won't have that problem with this adapter. Without trying to sound cliche, it rocks!
Here's the downside to that catch I was talking about; since it only sends a short "on" signal before turning the pedal back to "off", you can't use the pedal to navigate your song selections table of contents because that requires you to hold the pedal down. (there's a note in the instructions that tell you this also) The only thing the pedal will do when using the adapter is to "page down", which is what it always does when you press it once, with or without the adapter.
To me, it's not a big deal considering I gained a vast improvement in my double bass note hits and completely removed the leg fatigue I'd get when trying to play really fast songs on hard and expert. It does take a little practice to get used to it if you're not used to using both feet, but keep at it and you'll wonder how you managed with only one foot for so long.
I think the adapter alone makes this replacement pedal worth the cost. If you're only playing drums on easy or medium then it may not be worth as much to you because you don't really have any need for fast bass hits. But if you're like me and want to use the regular Rock Band 2 drums with the standard pedal you already have and just add a second pedal to it, this is the cheapest way to go.
So obviously there's other pedal choices out there and the other option you have is to just buy a better replacement after-market pedal. If you broke your first pedal from being too rough on it, you might want to consider this route instead. The quality of some of them is vastly superior to the stock pedal, but remember you're still using one foot in that situation, it's more expensive, and you don't get an adapter. To me, it's just easier to use both feet to get those really fast bass hits. And honestly, since we're just smacking around fake drums anyway, I'll use the method that gets me the best scores, which is two seperate bass pedals. Plus I figured if I buy an expensive pedal I'd still have to use a generic Y-cable splitter if I wanted to use 2 high-end pedals at the same time, which means you still have the limitations I described above.
Sorry for the long winded review, but if you're bothering to read all this in the first place, you're probably seriously considering all your options to improve your game. I think this is a really good option for the money, especially if you already have a working pedal and want to try out double bass pedals. (The splitter sealed the deal for me. (One of the Best Games I Have Ever Played) 『Fable: The Lost Chapters was my first ever Xbox game. Being that I was new to the system, I was a little scared to try it out, but once I turned it on, I fell in love with this game. I even prefer this over Fable II.
PROS: This game is very well made, and fun to play. It also lets you customize your character's actions and alignment, so really you can make lots of characters for different experiences. You can marry (if you choose) and have sex (screen goes dark), and choose your character's sexuality. Spouses are easy to care for, you can ignore them for years and they won't notice, however, if you visit them regularly, they will give you lots of presents.
CONS: The game world is small.
All in all, I highly recommend this game. I rate it 5/5.』

My son has been playing it for a month now and unlike other Xbox games he has not completed the story and moved on to something new. The multiple story paths (Jedi or darkside)that your actions take you down are a great feature and lends itself well to an out of the box experience.
While the graphics are old-school and somewhat blocky (Sometime the audio hiccups as well), the story is ever unfolding and the evolution of the characters makes for an engrossing experience. This is the kind of game that you keep playing over and over again just for fun and to experience the changes based on your decisions.

(A must-have Xbox RPG) 『This game is one of the greatest I've ever played, but buyer beware: this is an RPG, not a shooter or "action" game, although the game itself has plenty of action.
The game revolves around a character you create at the game's onset, whose past gets filled in as the story progresses and whose decisions influence the future of the galaxy. You eventually can pick up another nine characters, including Jedi, a Wookiee and droids, one of which is one of the most amusing characters I've ever seen. As the story takes place thousands of years before the events of the films, you don't need to be a Star Wars junkie to dive right in.
The game features lots of ways to customize your character's abilities, and more than enough sidequests to keep people interested. Many of these quests influence your alignment - the more you lean toward the Light Side, the more comfortable people will feel around you (and thus, I found, they will give you more quests as the game goes on). The Dark Side is pretty profitable, though, to make up for that.
The biggest thing that one has to get used to is the combat mechanic. It is very D&D-style, using a simulated 20-sided die roll to resolve actions (for example, a base target of 10 + 5 (for opponent's defense) - 3 (your attack bonus) = 12 (modified to-hit target). Thankfully, this mechanic runs in the background and is quickly ignored. When you sight an enemy, you can choose to engage them, choosing a series of actions to take (e.g. normal attack, special attack, throw grenade, normal attack) that you can modify on the fly. Hardcore shooter fans will hate it, but most people will adapt to it fairly quickly. Plus, the later stages of the game are frenetic enough that most people will appreciate KOTOR's approach to combat.
The game also has significant replay value - besides the obvious filling out your quest and item logs, your choices influence the ending. So if you played the first time as a goody-two-shoes, you can run through it again as a horseman of apocalypse and see what happens this time.
This game requires a serious investment of time - you're looking at least 25 hours, and that's only if you're amazingly good, uncannily lucky and do none of the sidequests.
A few minor complaints I have about the game: first off, the only time you can change a character's equipment is when they are in your active party. This is particularly frustrating when you are in your base with all nine standing around you, but becuase you haven't selected them, you physically have to leave the base with two at a time to change equipment (good luck if your pulling a 4-character switch like I did :( ). Second, some of the videos a dialogue animations are buggy. Third, there is a convenient "Return to base" option; the problem is, it is not always active. This is fine for, say, a boss stage you can't escape until you defeat said boss, but in some cases it makes no sense (i.e. I can walk back through one doorway and it will work on the other side).
Minor complaints aside, KOTOR rightly deserves those Game of the Year awards it won. Two Jedi, master Revan and his apprentice Malak, led the Republic's forces to victory and pursued the Mandalorians into deep space only to return as Dark Jedi at the head of a huge fleet of Sith warships. Only the Force powers of the Jedi Bastila prevented the Sith from overwhelming the Republic's weakened forces. At the start of the game Malak has usurped control of the Sith by betraying Revan and has attacked the ship carrying Bastila and yourself. In true Star Wars style, the game begins with a bang.
The storyline could have been a standard coming-of-age yarn but is instead a genuinely interesting adventure told with humor, compassion, and respect for the source material. Your character has a mystical bond with Bastila, and the two of you share some kind of connection to the Sith villains Darth Malak and Darth Revan. The game's planet-hopping adventures are driven by your exploration of these connections and how they relate to your larger goal of discovering the source of the Sith's sudden fleet. During your adventure you can explore side quests minor (such as racing swoops or gambling) and major (such as uncovering the fascinating back stories of your companions). Star Wars fans will get a kick out of the rich lore introduced in the game, particularly the Tatooine storyline that reveals the origin and history of the Sand People.
Gameplay is an abbreviated form of Wizards of the Coast's d20 Star Wars RPG game system--anyone who has played Dungeons&Dragons will be familiar with the abilities, stats, feats, and bonuses in this game. The player creates a character as a member of one of three starting classes (soldier, smuggler, scout) and then later chooses a Jedi class (guardian, consular, sentinel). Joining the player's character are other Jedi, warriors, thieves, droids, a wookiee, and even a Mandolorian. Unlike the faceless non-player characters of other games, each member of the supporting cast has an intriguing history and even agenda. Up to two of these other characters can join your character at any time. Depending on who you chose to take with you, new dialogue and even intra-party arguments come into the game (put the Mandalorian veteran with the Republic patriot and you'll see sparks fly). Combat is real-time turn-based, meaning the turns are seamless but the player has the option of pausing the action at any time to issue orders or direct any character to use a certain Force power, ability, feat, or item.
Graphics range from adequate to exceptional. Building and character models are not impressive--about what you get inGTA 3. Lightsaber graphics and environmental effects (like waving grass, clouds, and weather) bring the world to life. Battles are just brilliant, with characters pumping out blaster fire at Jedi who dash, dodge, and even deflect the bolts back toward their assailants. Complete with sounds straight out of the movies, the thrilling combat is pure Star Wars.
All in all,Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republicis a masterpiece of Star Wars gaming. The pacing, balance of action and dialogue, clever puzzles and quests, and loving attention to detail have set the bar very high for role-playing games in general and Star Wars games in particular. (Not perfect but great nonetheless.) 『Star Wars Battlefront 2 for the XBOX was a multiplatform game that was also on PS2 and if I am right also the PC. This game basically is just a blast to play. I have had it since not to long after it came out and I have to say after these past few years I still like to get it out and play like crazy.
This game offers a lot for shooter fans and Star Wars fans alike. Graphically I thought the graphics were phenomenal for its time as the game holds up with so many characters on screen at one time and vehicles to boot. Everything about Battlefront 2 reeks of Star Wars from the weapons and right down to the characters.
This time around you can play as leaders also like Darth Maul,Luke Skywalker, Vader, Han Solo and Boba Fett to just name a few. The modes are pretty good in themself and my favorite is Galactic Conquest and Instant Action. There is also a mode called Rise of the Empire. Online was or is still here as I do not have XBOX LIVE and I never did so I cannot speak if it is good or not.
The gameplay is very functional and leaves little to complain about. The replay value to this game is purely on an insane level. It also keeps track of your kills totals and shows a multitude of stats you can go in and look at. Theres also in instant action capture the flag and some other modes. Pros - One of the greatest games of the last generation, good modes,great gameplay and sound Cons - I cannot stop playing when I put it in my XBOX』

(Xbox Video Game Console) 『The Microsoft Xbox is still an excellent video game console to this day. It has a wonderful library of awesome games such as: 'Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders', 'Fable: The Lost Chapters', 'Panzer Dragoon Orta', 'Halo: Combat Evolved', 'Pariah', 'Mech Assault', 'Sega GT 2002', 'Rallisport Challenge', and much, much more. The Xbox had the best video game graphics in the last generation of video game systems: outdoing Sony's Playstation 2 and Nintendo's GameCube. Unfortunately, the regular Xbox controller was too big and bulky. I was lucky to have bought an Xbox that came with the smaller, and easier to handle, Controller S. I've never watched DVD movies on this console as I've always owned a DVD player. So I never bothered buying the Xbox DVD Movie Playback Kit: a requirement if you want to play DVDs on an Xbox console. One of the best things about this console is that it was the first video game system to have a built-in hard drive so you could save games without buying an expensive memory card. And you could copy music from audio CDs making your own soundtrack list on your very own Xbox. Microsoft really enhanced the multi-player gaming experience when they launched Xbox Live. It was one of the reasons the Xbox was, and still is, a highly successful video game system. Unfortunately, I don't have as much time to play my Xbox these days due to work and being a volunteer firefighter. But when I do play it I'm hooked whether I'm playing 'Fable: The Lost Chapters', 'Panzer Dragoon Orta', 'Mech Assault', or whatever. All the games I own are fun and addictive as are most Xbox game titles. The Microsoft Xbox is the only video game console I own. It stands the test of time as far as I'm concerned. Below are all of the excellent and recommended Xbox game titles I own. Judging by all of the Middle-earth based games below, you can obviously tell that I am a 'Lord of the Rings' fan.

(Any other predecessor, this would have been a good game) 『KotOR II suffers from the same dilemma the Star Wars movie prequels did: so many people knew and loved the original and had such high hopes for the new material. The new material got there, and it looked like it should and stuck to the formula it should, but somehow ends up not being what it should be.
This game picks up five years after the original KotOR. After the Jedi Civil War, the Sith have been resurgent and incredibly successful at killing the Jedi, so much so that you are the last known living Jedi. What could be worse than having the entire Sith force hell-bent on killing you? You're an exiled Jedi and have been stripped of all your powers.
It's an intriguing premise, and for most of the game plays out well, as the characters you gather all have their own little sub-plots, and are now influenced by your actions as well (i.e. if you become incredibly evil, as a whole your party will get more evil). The addition of many new items, customization options and Force powers take the formula that worked well in KotOR and add some good stuff to it.
However, KotOR has some serious flaws. First of, the load time required is abhorrent. Every five minutes the game has to load a new area, and this load can take 2-10 minutes (made even worse if you're running the game on an Xbox 360 because of the emulator required to play it). The framerate is also a serious issue, because this game tends to forgo the boss battles of KotOR and instead throw a metric ton of normal and mini-boss-level enemies at you. Having so much going on at once is too much for the game's engine, the framerate becomes choppy, then the game goes to 1 fps or less, and your gameplay is toast. All the conversation bugs that were in KotOR are here too, and are worse in most cases - in my one play-through the character Mira, once in my party, never said a word in plot-driven scenes because the game would display her dialog for a fraction of a second and then skip to the next character, often leaving me lost.
And, no spoilers here, the ending I got wasn't really an ending at all. After defeating the final boss, the ending felt like it was setting me up for the next level, which would come up after a short cut scene - but that cut scene turned out to be the credits, and I said - out loud - "I did not just suffer through 40 hours of load screens for THAT, did I?" And there's no epic plot twist, either; you have your suspicions within the first few hours, and about halfway in you - the player, that is - know what's going on, even if your characters don't, which takes away a lot of drama.
If you liked KotOR, you'll like this game because it sticks to the formula. Everything about KotOR II, however, reeks of a "cash-in" sequel, so expect as much when you play it, especially when it comes to plot quality.』

There is a campain mode you can play, though. In campain mode, you can choose the era (clone wars, galactic civil war) and play the maps in chronological order. The down side is that I felt that after you beat the galactic conquest and play all the instant action locations with good and bad guys that it gets boring to play it over and over again. Personally I enjoy star wars battlefront 2 more because I find that it has more action and choices. But I find this game very good because The choices are large until you play them all , the vehicles are very cool, the different characters are interesting,and the cool card at the end of a battle that tells you your rank. One more bad thing is that you cant use the invisibility,slow mo,and other cheat codes that are really awesome in this one unlike star wars battlefront 2.
I would defiantly recommend this to anyone who enjoys battle games (although if you can get star wars battlefront 2 I recommend that more!)

(Great mindless action, terrific two-player fun) 『This is a First-Person-shooter where you can pick from a large selection of roles, including CIS, Rebel, Stormtrooper, and Wookie, each with different weapons classes and battlefield tools. Also, you have the opportunity to commandeer a satisfyingly large selection of vehicles, from the painfully slow Spider Tank to the recklessly fast Speeder-for-one, each with different weapons. The twist is in the "scoring" system, a twist that makes all the difference. Each segment of play is a battle with an equal number of forces on each side. The AI of each side eliminates the other with roughly equal success, so what you do will ultimately determine the outcome. You may win by eliminating the opposing forces, or by capturing and holding each spawn point for 20 seconds. The latter is almost impossible without doing the former, but that's ok. It's fun to advance, hold a spawn point, take out some more guys, or use your rocket launcher against vehicles, or kick back and snipe. There are so many different levels, each requiring different tactics, that this is a real treat. Two-player pvp mode is the most intense, as you watch the numbers at the top of your screen, representing your forces and those of your enemy, whittle down toward victory or defeat. The cooperative mode almost guarantees success against the AI enemy. It would be good if they made the coop mode a little more challenging.
