Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (GTA that you knew) 『This game has a lot in common with the GTA series. Sandbox gameplay, boosting cars and making your fortune. The graphics are dated, but still pretty good. There isn't much in the way of side missions and get repetative, but all in all, a very good game.』
(Scarface) 『It is a good first person game. Any who liked the movie will like this game. I recommend it.』
(Graphics are disgraceful compared to everything else) 『Ok, animation is terrible. Takes us back to PS. My guess is they maybe made it for ps2 and did a disgraceful copy to xbox, maybe to cut cost. Only in cut scenes do you see Tony's lips move.
So, were over that. Now on to actually PLAYING the game. You start off right at the most legendary quote and scene in cinematic history...
"SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND!"
and next thing you know you are cutting down swarms of Sosa's goons, you learn about rage mode and the balls meter, turn around and kill the guy that iced you in the movie, make your escape and you lay low whilst beating yourself up over making it go oh-so-wrong.
So, your onto the rise. You meet an old contact who introduces you to a chick and you meet vice and your old attorney. You get a few grams of blow and some bucks, and learn the tedious and so incredibly overdone act of negotiating. Saving at the bank, talking to cops, or buying/selling blow... You will be doing this stupid thing where you hold the b button, charge up the thing and let go while it's in this little "area" and do the same cheesy animation every time. In times of dealing, you will be doing it TWICE, ONCE to intimidate some punk and ANOTHER when you buy the goods. If you screw up at all, it usually ends with all your dirty cash and blow (in any amount) stole from your person, cop or thug.
So, after dealing enough coke you buy back your mansion and it's all tore up. From here, you will spend just short of every time you make in the game (oh, don't get me wrong, you will buy properties but this is where the REAL leveling up is done... Buying useless vehicles like "Whiskey Ghost" and gold pelican lawn ornaments. I am not kidding). You will also buy boats that will take you to Island Suppliers even AFTER you establish a business relationship with Sandman... An Island Supplier... Another word about island suppliers: You go there, try to come back. On your way back, pirates try to steal your stuff and start shooting you to pieces. Yes. You go through that even AFTER hooking up with an ISLAND SUPPLIER, THE SANDMAN.
So after you buy back the mansion, you start to war with Diaz brothers and all the other chassaz all the way up to Sosa. After you kill each one, you gain control of a distribution Center. A basic one, a Marina one, and so on.
The distribution centers allow you to deal drugs to your suppliers. This part of the game is USELESS after you move on to NORTH AND SOUTH BEACH. Even AFTER you eliminate the Diaz brothers and all their little hidden gangs, whenever you distribute your blow they will STILL ATTACK YOUR BUSINESSES. You can "upgrade" your businesses with "surveillance" and "muscle" but their only purpose is to give you another minute at most to reach the scene and do the job yourself. Mind you, they will pop up on the complete opposite side of the map from where you are. Once it starts, the floodgates are open and you are constantly running around and putting out fires instead of working. Oh, and they will shoot up your car, which you cannot repair or swap out for one that isn't screwed up. A fast car is hard to control and paper thin... So you want to find one that has a balance of speed and armor... But like I said, that won't help you when your in South Beach and someone is tearing up your business north of Little Cuba, and while your there someone is attacking your business in South Beach...
Do what I did, and only control the first half of the map, level yourself all the way up, and then move on to the second half of the island and finish out the story mode. If you get grams of blow, sell them to dealers on the streets. You get more money that way instead of your storefronts. Only sell the keys to the storefronts.
Aside from that... It's good fun. The game-play sounds like nothing but gunfire and Tony's obscenities and is completely comprised of building up your balls meter to rage mode, enter rage mode, repeat. An adept player can do this very quickly. Not a whole lot left is there?
』
(Pleasant Suprise...) 『i loved the movie Scarface...and i think this game is the Ultimate Compliment to the film. the depiction of the mansion is like icing on the cake. and whoever they got to mimic Tony Montana's voice did an EXCELLENT job. some of the things said in this game are just hilarious. basically, all you do is sell dealers the drugs, collect the money and store it in the bank. wash, rinse, repeat...but its got so much flare from the movie, you wont get tired of it. i recommend this to anyone who liked the movie and has an xbox...or if your just unpleased with GTA4 :l pick this up.
i rank this up there with GTA:SA and The Godfather, you should be able to find a copy on ebay...
iLL .』
(Good Game, Great Score) 『This is a really good game. The score in particular is excellent. As of this writing, it is now officially backwards compatible with the XBOX 360. What are you waiting for? Buy this!』 『Scarface: The World Is Yours takes you into a complicated world of excess and greed. You'll become Tony Montana, one of the most ruthless gangsters ever depicted on film. The original screenwriter has created an all-new storyline that authentically recreates the historical time period of the film, and gives you the chance to live out the events of the film -- or change them and create a new life story for the famous gangster.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (The frozen game) 『My wife purchased the game for my son and I and after playing this game for about two months it began freezing up during plays. We thought it was just the actual game that we got but after reading some of the reviews we see maybe it's just that version.』
(A Game for all ages) 『This is a game that my ten year old grandson and his seventy year old grandfather both delight in playing for hours on end.... Realistic and fast paced!』
(Madden Bugs) 『Of course this game plays great, it is the next installment of the Madden series. However, usually I can't get through an entire game without it locking up. I read others had issues with this but thought since I bought my game at least 6 months after it had came out, I thought the bugs in my version would be fixed. I was wrong, buyer beware... it sits collecting dust now because it's frustrating to play over 3 quarters and have the Xbox crash out. Other games have froze up for me, such as Scarface and Godfather, but they have built in mechanisms that overcome the freeze-screen within a minute. Even when the game says "your disc may be scratched or dirty." Why don't all games have this mechanism? Especially a game like Madden with such a lofty reputation? I'm disappointed to say the least and should have paid attention to other reviewers' warnings.』
(What is wrong with this freaking game?!) 『I can not believe this game continues to freeze up. My Xbox can play any other game I own perfect, but not Madden 07. The first game we got was returned within 2 days for crashing. So we played 06 for awhile...no problems. We got a brand new sealed 07 from the return and the game does the same FREAKING thing! Freeze up and crash the Xbox. Yet, all of my other games play fine. That pretty much narrows it down to this particular title having issues. There is nothing worse than sitting through 3 quarters of play and then *poof* game freezes up and your left cursing at your TV. Stupid.
Ultimately, it isn't any different than 2006 except for some roster updates and a couple of new moves.
Someone needs to issue a patch for this game that can be downloaded via Xbox Live to correct the problems with it.』
(New game new year) 『My son loves his new game and I have heard no complaints!!! Yeah!』 『Control the running game like never before with Madden NFL 07 For the first time ever, step up as the lead blocker to create a hole, then take control of the tailback and smash through, overpower, or slash away from would be tacklers as you fight for every yard. Innovative rushing controls give you a game-breaking ground attack featuring all-new jukes, cutbacks, and the distinct running styles of your favorite backs. Between the tackles or in the open field, run to daylight with Madden NFL 07.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Fun Fun Fun) 『The best way i can explain this game is it's sort of a cross between a Spaghetti western and a muppets movie.
There is lots of elements in this game some first person shooter and some beat em up. i would like to say this would be a great game for kids but some of the foul language might turn them off. 』
(hilarious&very entertaining) 『the graphics are amazing even still, the story is very clever&has the usual political undertones on environment&industry that runs through the whole series of oddworld. The game play is good except for the boss fights, this is probably one of the best first person shooters ever made because it doesn't take itself to seriously. This whole series reflect what video games really should be functionally&has the game mechanics that are lacking in so many modern titles. this will NOT work on xbox 360 though. This is the last of proper strategy games like Hitman blood money. So if halo&vin Diesel is your thing this will be way beyond your capabilities :)』
(Amazingly fun - if only it was 360 compatible) 『Oddworld Stranger's Wrath is a brilliant bounty-hunter game from the off-beat creators of the Oddworld series. You roam through a fantastic world chasing down enemies with your arsenal of living creatures.
The game is extremely well animated and rendered, with a variety of creatures that you immediately connect with. There are little multi-teethed killer Fuzzles, the oh-so-cute Chippunks, flying creatures, smelly creatures, and more. You fire all of these with your crossbow, wreaking mayhem on your enemies.
The theory here is that you're trying to capture as many bad guys as you can alive, to get the largest bounty for them. Different enemies call for different capture techniques. Some require the flying monsters, while others need to be wound up in a cocoon. It's all done with an "old west" motif, with drawling, laconic discussion and dusty, tumbleweed landscapes.
We love the game. The dialogue is brilliant at times, the gameplay is engaging. Your ammo is just so much fun! They talk back to you, laugh as they are flung at the enemies and have a variety of attack styles. When you run out, you just go to a patch of weeds and track down some more.
The game goes between first person and third person and does so rather well. My only real complaint is with the camera, which at times gets caught behind buildings and other obstacles.
The game guides you along nicely. You are pursuing bounty person X, you know their hideout area, you go there and find them. It keeps you moving along in the right direction.
If there's a real complaint, it is that the game does NOT work on the XBox 360. This is one of the only reasons we were holding onto our ancient XBox system and I would much rather be playing this on the XBox 360. It looks very unlikely that they're ever going to patch the 360 to support this older game, though.
Still, if you own an XBox, I definitely recommend finding this game!』
(Awsome) 『This game was awsome,I enjoyed every minute of game play.I'm sure everyone who buys this game will have hours of fun』

(Spider man 2!? What!?) 『Didnt let me down. im a spider fan myself. when i played the first one i didnt like it at all. the controls where all goofy and the story was all jack'd up. i didnt want to play it again. but after see'n spiderman 2 i went out and bought the game. after a few minutes of playing i was hook'd. this is way better then any other superhero game ever made. you get to perform all of spider man moves from the movie as well as a few that was off screen. the story line is very good. it doesnt drift of or anything. the side missions are very fun. the boss battles dont disappoint either. there are tons of unlockables, even after you beat it you still have stuff to unlock. i still play this game today. its has a very high replay value. you will not be disappointed.』
(I love this game) 『I was crushed when I realized that this game is now compatible with xbox360. I just traded my game in for a another game a while back. Now, I glad that Amazon had this game. Fast and quick delivery. What can I say? But, Thank you!!!!』
(Great) 『What a fantastic game. Spider-Man 2 is definitely the best Spider-Man game released so far when it comes to the graphics. I find myself sometimes just stop and look around just to view the incredible environments. This game is very detailed and very fun to swing around in. There are a couple of times in the game that become annoying. Of course, the kid who loses his balloon is always annoying. But the hardest part of the game is when you have to do the Statue of Liberty mission. It is always annoying. Overall, this game is definitely recommended』

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great sequel for Chaos Theory, and surpasses 360 version) 『Can you say Chaos Theory part 2! I played the 360 version of this game about 5 times now, and I do enjoy playing it, but after I finally got my hands on this version I doubt I will go back and play the other. I was under the impression that both games were the exact same, with one just being in high definition. I was quick to realize they are nothing alike, with the exception of a few same cut scenes.
If you enjoyed playing Chaos Theory; then you will feel very comfortable with the controls and be impressed by the presentation.
I have to take my hat off to the creators in Montreal for creating this version, as opposed to the creators that made the 360 version in Shanghai. Even the way the story is depicted in this version is superior to its counterpart.
Also a very important aspect of the game is the training that is designed to help new comers to the series learn the controls; this is a feature that isn't introduced in 360 version, and I feel was a missing ingredient in the 360's success. I just love how the game picked up where Chaos Theory left off though, in anticipation for the release of Conviction, I've been playing through all the splinter cells to satisfy my urge, and I'm very excited I now have a game so similar to its predecessor.
Every level is designed differently that the 360 version, giving you all the tools and gadgets you need. You get to do all the bad ass moves that Sam Fisher has always done: Hanging upside down snapping necks, doing splits in narrow hallways, and the exposure HUD that displays your noise and exposure in the light is very similar to Chaos Theory. The Dolby Digit sound is very good for an original Xbox game, but the presentation is just about the same as CT was.
Very fun and entertaining game, definitely recommended for fans of the series, you will not be disappointed. If you are a new comers to the series, then this a must buy as well, with the well thought out training course, you'll figure out the controls very quickly. 』
(A descendant to the greatest game ever.) 『Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is the best game in existence, making it's descendant, Double Agent, and okay game. Maybe not up in the best game in existence games, but one of the best stealth ones. The gameplay is a heck of a lot of fun. But the story mode is kind of uncreative. I mean, Sam's daughter, Sarah, is pretty important in the series, and when she dies, it's not that big of a deal except for a little while. It really wasn't necessary for Sarah to die. I mean, Sarah dies, crushing Sam, so Lambert tries to keep Sam focused on his mission? They could've made him get assigned this mission without his daughter dying. Maybe his daughter dying could've been a plot in the next one, Conviction. Besides, I know way that his daughter could've been important in the game.
But other than the story, the overall gameplay, which is the most important part, is creative, fun, and addicting. The feautures of the characters are kind of weird. Sam looks like he's sixty. And where the heck is Grimsdotter? Did she just dissapear? She isn't even mentioned. She's been with Sam the entire series and all of a sudden she isn't there without any explanation whatsoever. I mean, couldn't they at least explain why she is gone.
One thing, though about the game is that the only reason it's good is because they take some ideas from Chaos Theory. If they were to do it on their own, it would be good, but all the features, such as the multiplayer, which isn't as good, and the not as good coop modes.
All in all, Splinter Cell Double Agent is a successful game.』
(Splinter Cell Series.... LOVE IT) 『If you are a fan of the Splinter Cell series of games, this one is like no other. You make choices that impact the game and decide if you take Sam on a journey to the under world or continue to fight for the NSA.』
(Appearances can be deceiving) 『I own both the XBOX and XBOX360 version and both are just as much fun. While this copy does not have as sharp graphics as the newer version, it still has the original shade meter and sound meter as the originals. The story line is different too in some ways ranging from different terrain to a completely different mission. Overall, it's still pretty cool, still splinter cell.』
(A must buy) 『I love the splinter cell series and this one is no different. Bought the game used and it came quickly and so far works really well. I'm very impressed.』 『Splinter Cell 4: Double Agent brings back veteran agent Sam Fisher, for an enemy unlike any he's faced before. To stop a devastating attack, he must infiltrate a vicious terrorist group and destroy it from within. For the first time ever, experience the relentless tension and gut-wrenching dilemmas of life as a double agent. As you infiltrate a terrorist organization in its American headquarters, you must carefully weigh the consequences of your actions. Kill too many criminals and you'll blow your cover. Hesitate too long and millions will die. Do whatever it takes to complete your mission, but get out alive. New authentic gadgets, used by NSA government agents in addition to black-market terrorist weapons』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great multiplayer with rather dull single player) 『Of all the games I had for xbox this is the one people liked playing the best. The crazy crashes and encouragement to drive aggressively made this game worth hours and hours of multiplayer fun.
The single player campaign is pretty uninspired and get mind numbingly difficult at times. Still it is amusing most of the time and overall the game is well worth it.』
(BURNOUT: STILL AWESOME AFTER ALL THESE YEARS 8.5 OUT OF 10) 『Burnout is still one of the best racing games ever made, because it's just so damn awesome to crash things and wreak havoc upon cities. The racing is still solid, especially when crashing an opponent. The graphics are still great, the city designs are still awesome, and the crash modeling is still awesome. Unfortunately, some of the fun that this game has, has worn off for me. With that said this is still one of the most awesome racing games ever made.』
(Fun racing/wrecking game!) 『My cousin told me about this game and when we rented it we had SO much fun! Im notorious for my wrecking in real life so this is a good way to wreck and not get hurt lol. Its a real fun game but dont play too much or it turns into the same thing over and over.』
(excellent game.) 『this game was an awsome game. the first time I played it, I was immediatly hooked. this game has every type of racing you can think of. my personal favorite is the rage, I just like the idea of seeing how many cars you can wreck before the finish line, or when your car is totaled. I also enjoy the crash, I find it very challenging. I always like to plan out the way the crash is going to happen, how the car is going to land and roll, etc. I do recommend this game to anyone of all ages.』
(Wow...just wow...) 『I have never been a fan of racing games. Too boring for my taste. Until I played Burnout. Once, I played Burnout 2 for Gamecube (my brother had rented it), and I thought it was cool, but not cool enough to buy. Note that I didn't play that game much at all. So about 2 years later, I go to sleepover at someone's house, and he's playing Burnout 3. I look at it, ask if i can play, and I'm hooked. Now enough story, on to the game. You can choose from a varaity of cars, and each of them have different aspects (duh). Then you choose a track or challenge (depending on what race mode you're in), and you start. Yeah, it's pretty much you going 200 through crowded streets, knocking the other guys into stuff, and crashing yourself. Yes, in Burnout, crashing is a huge part of the game. You can make someone crash after you crash (aftertouch takedown) by moving your car around by using "impact time". Pretty much you hold the "a" button down while holding the control stick in which direction you want to go. Usually you won't go far, however. Also, you don't want to crash all the time. In fact, in the main story you pretty much want to avoid crashing. There is a full-flegged multiplayer mode in Burnout 3, even going so far as to offer online play on Xbox Live. Modes include a race, a demolition derby-type mode, a mode where you have to cause the most whreckage by crashing, etc. Also, on the Xbox version, you can use songs stored on your Xbox and listen to them in-game. Now, that was a lot, but it's pretty much screaming, BUY THIS GAME. Even if you don't like racers, you'll love it. Although you should probably rent it first.

Usually ships in 24 hours Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Very impressive.) 『Half Life, Gears of War, and now this game are the only 3 games that i've played so far that has took my gaming experience outside of gaming, and made me feel as if I was playing in a movie. I liked the stealth action in this game better than the stealth action in the Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell series. This game is just that atmospheric, really putting you in the shoes of Riddick, and the game play is great. Kudo's to the team that put this game together. Well done.』
(Great, original gameplay) 『This is a great stealth game, with sharp writing and great graphics. It's a mature story told in a very cinematic way, much longer than you would expect and with quite a bit of action for your dollar. It's not backwards-compatible with the XBox 360 so those of you thinking of moving up might want to think ahead and pick up Dark Athena instead, but XBox users won't find a better first-person single-player title on the system.』
(Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay) 『FPS. This is based on the Chronicles of Riddick series. This takes place between the movie Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick. Riddick get captured and thrown into a jail. The object of the game is to escape the prison planet. Lots of stealth kills and action gun based kills. This game is a bit difficult and very dark in many cases. I dont highly recommend this game. I bought it because i like chronicles of riddick.』
(Amazing!!!) 『I can honestly say this was my favorite xbox game
The graphics were incredible, there as good as 360 without a doubt. The story, weapons and controls are all flawless!!!

(Savagely Brilliant) 『Still have the old Xbox ? Didn't pick this one up ?
This game is worth brushing off the dust&reconnecting the old system. How it wasn't backwards compatible and where the updated version for 360 currently is...I can't even begin to fathom.
Visuals - Best ever on the Xbox. Immersion - Beyond compare. I found myself surviving for inordinately long spans of time after "Starting to think like Riddick would." Controls/shooting mechanic - As good as Halo if not better. Overall presentation - More like a movie than a video game.
By comparison, Riddick makes Halo and Half-Life look like goofy lightweights. (And I say this as someone who has logged an embarrassing amount of fanboy time on both of those titles.)』 『Chronicles of Riddick acts as a prequel to "Pitch Black" and "The Chronicles Of Riddick". The enigmatic antihero named Riddick escaped from one of the universe's most violent prisons, Butcher Bay. This game presents the story of how he escaped triple-max security.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (review of xbox game) 『i also have the PC version of this game xbox game is easier to control the game works great』
(One of those games you can enjoy for years) 『Yes, its been a few years since this game came out, but the fact that I am still enjoying it a few years after I purchased it goes a long way to show how much I love this game.
My love affair with the game Pirates goes back a long way. When I was 10 years old or so I tried the original Pirates on the that "powerhouse" computer system Apple IIC. For the time, it was a simply amazing game, with great graphics and amazing depth. A played this game nonstop for a couple years. Ten years later when I was 20 or so, Pirates Gold was quietly released on the Genesis. Unfortunately, the Ps1 had just come out, and the Genesis was in its dying phase, so this game was hard to come by.
I was thrilled when I heard they were bringing this game to the Xbox and the PC. Both versions are pretty similar, however, the PC version is slightly more in depth. What amazes me is that this version holds all the charm that the original had. You can play in several different time periods during the 1600's. The early part of that time frame is more difficult because there are fewer ports, and the Spanish cities and ships are much better organized than later in the century. To further enhance the challenge, you can select 5 different difficulty settings. The easiest setting allows you to pretty much dominate the seas without much difficulty. The hardest setting can have you groaning in frustration at the TV.
Whether you decide to be a pirate and plunder everything in sight, or a loyal privateer to a certain country is totally up to you. Or if you want you can try and be a peaceful merchant who trades items among cities, only fighting when attacked.
My only complaint is that the Xbox version lacks a few of the goodies that the PC version has. Mainly overland travel and the port of Panama. Frankly one of the best aspects of the old game was growing a force big enough to travel over land and capture Panama.
This is the type of game that only gets better with age. I imagine I will enjoy it for many years to come.』
(Hardy Har Har) 『So a little time has passed and now not only can you run the X-box version of this game on the 360, but you can download it from X-box Live! Is it still worth playing today? Oh yes! First of all, I like the console version better than the PC version. It just feels more pick-up-and-play on the Xbox, the controls work beautifully (I vastly prefer pressing buttons to hitting number keys on a keyboard), and with the high-resolution rendering on the 360 the game looks wonderful. In fact, I only have one complaint. You can't skip the intro movie on the 360 for some reason.
If you like the PC version you may want to change over to this version for sheer ease-of-use. If you've never played the game before you ought to give it a try just to find out how a series of minigames can make for a full-blown game, and why Sid Meyer's games are as popular as they are. I don't play it every day. When I do play it I stop when I beat it and leave it alone for a while. But when I do start playing, I get hooked deep until I beat the game again and hopefully best my high score once again (the real replay value comes from trying to end the game with a super-high score). Give it a try and hopefully the game will do the same for you. Have fun! 』
(fun and addictive -- another excellent Sid Meier game) 『This game does have some faults -- the gameplay is shamelessly repetitive at points. But it just doesn't matter, because the world the game creates is so much fun to play around in, and the freedom to move among the various activities available (ship battles, sword fights, land battles, dancing minigame) is complete. It definitely has that "just five more minutes" quality that Sid Meier seems to achieve so regularly.
The Xbox port is great and controls very nicely. Works well on the Xbox 360 as well. Just make sure to update the game through the in-game interface (not just through Xbox 360) as you'll get extra content that way and be able to upload your scores to Xbox Live.』
(Excellent game, changes everytime you play it) 『I think this game is endless. You can play it different every time! This is one of the few games that I have consistently played over the years. Yes I said years, my son and I have gotten countless amounts of hours and enjoyment from this game. I highly recommend it.』 『In Sid Meier's Pirates, you take the leading role of a Pirate capatain in the 17th century Carribean.
