(Great Series)
『Incredibly fun to play through this game as a genetically altered assassin. The levels and puzzles were challenging, but not impossible and the action was fun.』

(fun experience)
『To start off, Hitman 2 is a great game. Tons of options are always availble about how to complete a mission. Will you go in with guns blazing or disguise your self and use stealth as your weapon? It's up to you. This game is fun and offers quite a bit of replayability. The graphics are decent but not exceptional. Though the game has great character animations, the characters A.I. can sometimes be a bit wonky, though overall it has no affect on the experience of the game. It kept me interested and hooked me for quite a while. This game is most definitely worth checking out.』

(Number #47)
『Hitman 2 for the Xbox is an action game that can be played in either 3rd person view or first person. You are an assassin with no name, your are just called "47". You'll run into mafioso, political and military characters. Using every type of weapon found in most FPS, your goal is to kill your target. The targets are usually heavily gaurded with bodyguards, and soldiers. Since you are outnumbered, it's better to be sneaky and that is where changing disguise comes in. You can kill a civilian or one of their own personel and change your clothes, to fool them, and get close to your target. Wait! There is one problem...you have a barcode printed in the back of your head! So you must walk backwards or sideways so noone can see your barcoded noggin (which blows your cover). Hitman 2 is tense, has good puzzles and the action is bloody and brutal. But the game is severly scripted, difficult, and hard to control, killing much of the replay value.

Pros:
+excellent puzzles
+excellent action
+excellent weapons
+excellent sound effects
+excellent music
+excellent voice-acting
+multiples paths to objectives
+3rd person or first person view

Cons:
-scripted gameplay
-gameplay not really free-form
-barcode on your freakin head
-overly complicated controls
-very slow paced
-PSONE looking graphics
-timed missions sucked
-single player only
-no replay value

(Excellent game)
『A lot of people tend to compare Hitman 2 to Splinter Cell, but the two really have very little in common. Although Splinter Cell is a very good game, I would say that Hitman 2 is actually more enjoyable. This is probably because Hitman 2 offers a greater degree of freedom; you're given a target and a couple of guns at the start of each mission, but how you complete it is entirely your own decision. You could go in with guns blazing or play the entire mission without killing anyone but the target, all of which greatly increases the game's replayability. The graphics are also beautiful, with some of the best textures and water effects I've ever seen in an Xbox game. On the negative side, the story is a little recycled (save the world from a terrorist with a nuclear weapon AGAIN) and a couple of the missions are almost ridiculously hard due to poor AI (as in overly paranoid guards or disguises that don't work no matter what). These are just minor flaws, however... At twenty bucks for a Platinum Hits edition of the game, it's a steal.』

(it went platinum for a REASON)
『oh my god where to begin!

alright, let me say this, this game is like metal gear solid but without the plotline that makes you question the meaning of purpose, hence it's FUN.

use tactics like car bombs, poison, sniper rifles and piano wire to kill your enemies, and that's only the stuff they tell you on the back of the box.

Plotline- alright this is a great plot, your priest (funny a preist and an assassin are good buddies) friend is captured and the hitman breaks out his signature baller pistols (this is a sequel mind you) again, you revive more missions from diana to pay the agencey for info on how to rescue your buddy, i have not completed the game yet because certain levels are too much fun to not do over and over and over again.

Gameplay- 5 outta 5 on this one dude, 1st or 3rd person fighting and dozens of weapons, including realizm, civilians will run up to cops shouting that you killed someone so your identity must be masked quickly, hell i've even had civilians run up to me pointing in the direction of a body of a guard i killed. you CAN go gung-ho but it takes the fun out of the game, it'd be like MGS with invisibility, plus it USUALLY gets you killed in a matter of seconds. More importantly is how entertaining it is to make hits, i can play the saint petersburg stakeout for hours at a time because making a kill from a concealed location with a sniperrifle and then walking away from it is so much fun, and if i feel like target practice then bust out an AK and let loose, also if you use the signature baller pistols you will get a special treat of taking down anything with 1 shot, which is realistic because baller pistols are like cannons.

Graphics- awsome, just awsome, blood pools and smoke pours from the tip of your barrel plus your signature red tie will blow in the wind and over your shoulder depending on if your running or walking or in the level, very nice, plus this game has some ragdoll that tops brute force, now THAT'S impressive

Weaponry- very good, and you have a shed in sicily where you can grab any weapon you've found in levels (and escaped with) and practice firing on ducks, scarecrows pigs ect, unfortunatley you will usually only use a sniper rifle, scilenced pistol and a fiberwire plus the occasional AK47 if [it] hits the fan (which it will). but you CAN weild things like aks, ballers, shotguns, m16s, sniper rifles, kitchen knives crossbows and eve Katannas (more of a disguise weapon then an arm).

Misc- this game was done VERY well, very intelligent AI, also hard to perdict, only a seasoned vet can effectivley sneak up behind a guard that's urinating, use piano wire and then store the body in a correct place, after 5 months i still screw up, plus RAGDOLL!!!!! this game has some of the best i've ever seen, for those that are saying "wtf is ragdoll?" it's when body's go limp when dead, rather then in MGS2 where all the guards will have identical deaths you can shoot an enemy in the head with a 9mm pistol and they might fall down or spin and die, but with a shotgun the will more likley hit the wall behind them (and leave a nice painting), plus draggin the corpse shows the beauty of ragdoll unlike certain stealthy's (mgs2).

pros..........all of the above (and the ability to save right before a kill, and do it over and over)

cons

hard to do, will aggravate the average gamer
most people will rush through levels with aks and get through the whole thing saying "that was crap" because they've cheated and taken away the fun

overall

great game because in this killing is an art, and using an AK is like photocopying.』
『In Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, you travel freely in a world of greed, crime and degradation, to find the answers to murderous questions and make peace with a dark past.』
Hitman 2: Silent Assassinis the sequel to the popularHitman: Codename 47. Once again, you enter the mind of the Hitman, a for-hire assassin trying to escape a violent past. Eventually, you are lured back into your trade by a twisted Russian crime boss bent on assisting rogue countries for his own personal and financial gain. You soon realize that you are caught in the middle of a ring of deception, and discover that you have become a target yourself, of a highly trained ex-Spetsnaz assassin. Utilize stealth, tact, and survival instincts to complete your missions.』

Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review
(The game is just the don of racing games...)
『Look at the date that midnight club 2 came out, and now look at the date i am writing this review. Midnight club 2 came out AGES ago but yet i still play it because it was so well put together. The soundtrack to the game is probably my favourite game soundtrack of all time. The gameplay is impeccable because there is so much action, like if you are a lamer who likes games that are really easy and love thrashing the computer because of this, then do not expect to like MC2. This game is challenging which makes it even more enjoyable to play, if you manage to thrash the computer (which is highly unlikely) thats when you can tell yourself that you are a Don. The graphics are above average (seen as there is midnight club 3 out) but this is hardly noticable due to the great gameplay and great audio. Alot of races to win, alot of cars to win, 3 cities to explore, choose your own path to the finish line, outrun the cops, race bikes against cars, vanish in the distance with nitro, life like car physics including slipstream turbo which is basically driving behind one of your opponents cars so that they take the wind resistance for you which slows them down and cause a slingshot like effect which enables you to speed right past them due to the fact that your vehicle has not taken any wind resistance (hopefully that makes sense), the characters in the game are entertaining due to the fact that they think they are street Gods until you beat them and take their car!! to the guy who said it looks like GTA3- that is a complete lie. BASICALLY WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY IS... THIS GAMES OWNS. FINISH THIS, AND THEN GO AND BUY MIDNIGHT CLUB 3. PEEEEEEEEAAAAAACCCCEEEE.』

(MidnightClub2- 5*****)
『MidnightClub2 is an awesome game. It is sooo realistic, you can land on roofs and rome around. You can use noss and get up to speeds of 200 mph. And if you just want to play it safe and rome around town slowly and calmly, the stop lights actually work. And its not any violent fighting game either.』

(Tough but very enjoyable)
『This is a pretty sweet game right here. Not the greatest racing game ever, but I like it alot. The cars are really cool and the vast cities make for enjoyable albeit usually pretty challenging races. I mean, I spent at least an hour trying to beat mutliple individual races and that did get to be a pain in ass, but no biggie. The races where there isn't one set way to race them (i.e. just a bunch of checkpoints with no order in which to get them) take a while to learn and they really tried my patience, but the soundtrack is probably my favorite out of any game so I didn't really notice how much of my life I was wasting away staring at my TV. The controls are responsive, but get crazy as you progress through the game and I felt like mother nature got incredibly annoying because too many levels were rainy and made driving fast cars pretty hard. Anyway, so this is a fun game with a great soundtrack, nice graphics, solid controls and it's challenging so it'll take up a good chunk of your life. Some might find it a little too tough and say that it lacks depth and reality which admittedly it does, but I think it's great none the less. OH YEAH, one more thing. THE VOICES OF MOST THE PEOPLE YOU RACE ARE SOOOO PAINFULLY ANNOYING! They say the most obnoxious, non-funny things ever. Like right now I'm going through the game again and in Japan you race this guy with ridiculous hair and he calls you a Squid Head at least 789534785988912 times.』

(Ho-hum graphics, tough races, but fun nonetheless)
『Midnight Club II is a decent but unspectacular racer that is pretty tough but fun if you have the patience to stick it out.

The game obviously has its origins in Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto III". Everything from the feel of the cars to the look of the city and the behavior of the pedestrians can be traced to that game. MCII obviously adds lots of bells and whistles to the basic driving controls. You have nitrous boosts, can control the balance of the car in mid-air, and can earn "slipstream turbo" by drafting behind other cars until a meter fills up and turns red.

The cityscapes are great, with nice recreations of L.A., Paris and Tokyo. There are tons of hidden alleys, jumps, parking garages, and shopping malls to explore.

The cars are mediocre. You won't find actual Acuras or Ferraris here. Instead, the game gives us cars loosely modeled on actual vehicles. The models are okay, but are not as polished as, say, Burnout 2, another game with fictitious cars.

The actual racing is pretty fun, though. Most involve having to hit a series of checkpoints scattered throughout the city. There is lots of room for finding your own path, taking advantage of the aforementioned alleys, ramps and passages.

However, the game is pretty tough. I found I probably have to replay each race about 10 times before winning. Also, in each race you basically have to come in first. There is no bronze medal for placing third, you'll have to start over. Basically it is impossible to win a race on your first time out, as you can do in Project Gotham 2 and Burnout 2. The difficulty may be one of the game's biggest drawbacks. In fact, when I first got it, I eventually just quit because I wasn't having any fun doing the same race over and over. But recently I picked it up again and have been having quite a bit of fun trying to figure out the best routes, even if it does take a dozen tries.

In short, I would dock this game one star for the bad graphics, and one star for the difficulty, but give back one star now that the price has come down. Gamers who like casual driving games should definitely consider picking this up.』

(Great game for a great price!)
『Midnight Club II is well named, as you drive in darkness. At first, this is very intimidating, but it is changeable (you can drive at midnight, dawn, or sunset). The cars are nice and the response time is very fast. I just wish there was a better selection of well-known cars. The controls are easy to adapt to. However, the game was very difficult for me, as I found myself racing a certain track 20-30 times before I would beat it (and I am an avid racing game fan). But if you love a challenge, and a game with lots of hidden goodies and shortcuts, this might be for you!』
『Midnight Club 2 The sequel to the hottest street racing game ever, MIDNIGHT CLUB II has even more thrills than the original. From atop a powerful motorcycle or within a high-performance sports car, you'll take to the main roads and back alleys of Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Paris. The action takes place late at night after the law-abiding citizens have crawled off to bed, so feel free to rev it up and let it fly. MIDNIGHT CLUB II brings astounding 3D graphics to the table, and the racing physics will have you feeling the g-forces. Better buckle that seat belt.』
Midnight Club IIbuilds on the illegal street racing fun found in the PS2 launch titleMidnight Club. Like that game it pits you against street toughs in non-linear street races, all for bragging rights and access to better and more sophisticated rides. New inMidnight Club IIare the police and the ability to drive a motorcycle.

The game begins with you in the charge of a slob named Moses. He acts as tutor, teaching you how to control your beater car and how to use power-ups, as well as offering overall moral support. He teaches you how to go about the business of the game: earning new gear such as Nitrous Oxide, new cars, and even new controls. The award of new controls later in the game show how you're a novice driver at the start but by the end you're a pro who can land on all four wheels after a jump, expertly control a power slide turn, and much, much more.

Much of the game consists of cruising around three large and well rendered cities: Paris, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. You don't just challenge someone to a race or sign up for an event and show up. Instead you get a map and have to follow a red dot. The dot is a rival racer. Once you track and chase him down, you flash your high beams and then you can race him. It's a clever way of giving you a warm up, keeping you immersed in the game, and best of all, teaching you the layout of each city.

Racing is fun, fast, and furious. This isn't a simulation, it's an arcade-style racer--but the physics system is internally consistent so it feels more "realistic" than it actually is. Rockstar has put a premium on keeping you in control, keeping the thrill-factor high, and giving you a heart stopping sense of speed. The graphics are fantastic and the cities are incredibly detailed. As a counter-point, the voice acting is just plain awful.

Midnight Club IIoffers a wide range of game modes ensuring it will be playable for a long time to come: career, mission, and a mode that lets you just jump into a race. Multiplayer is possible in hotseat mode, but it also supports Internet play. Internet lag is bad over dial-up modem (PS2), but broadband players (Xbox Live or PS2) will find the game silky smooth. All of this makesMidnight Club IIa great addition to any videogame racing fan's library, but a must for online fans.--Bob Andrews

Pros:

  • Great physics, intense action
  • Excellent graphics
  • Plenty of game modes, including broadband multiplayer
Cons:
  • Poor voice acting

(I stopped playing it)
『Crash Twinsanity is when aliens for a different galaxy come and threaten Crash and Cortex that they are going to take over their island. The story itself was bad. They settle their differences and they work together to save the island.

The GOOD THINGS about Crash Twinsanity:

The graphics- The graphics are better on this game than on the newer games on the Xbox. Most Crash Xbox games has gone well with the graphics.

It has the main characters- This game has the 2 best characters in it and they are working together. It is kind of interesting.

The BAD THINGS about Crash Twinsanity:

The story- This game has a bad story that when I first started playing it, I was like what? What is really going on?

The replay value- Replay value is how long after you get the game will you play it. I gave up on the game after about one month. I found a new game and started playing it.

The game is alright, but it need to be more interesting.』

(Very fun, great eye-candy...but sometimes very challenging for the young ones)
『*CRASH BANDICOOT - TWINSANTIY(XBOX)*
I was pleasantly suprised after playing this even though it doesn't seem to be getting much praise. This game is a blast with tons of eye-candy, very fun and challenging levels, at times, very challenging. My kids(10 and 7) play most of the time but every once and a while they have to call upon "The Master Video Gamer"(Me-38) to help them through a section. I can't help but get caught up into it while playing, so much so, the kids have to remind me to give the controller back. It's fun!
Look, I've been a Crash fan since the beginning(PS1) and this is a fantastic addition to the series. Even though there's no furriness(I don't think that's a word?) to Crash like the first XBOX Crash and the graphics are alittle on the PS2 side(which isn't bad by any means) the game is very fun and beautiful to look at. I guess I'm just trying to figure out why all the hate?
If you're a Crash Bandicoot fan, you'll love it.』

(Nice game)
『Good game, a little harder that the previous versions. I am still playing with it』

(BOOOOOO!)
『This is not the crash bandicoot who i see in the Playstation,I cannot think that Sony has acept that their personages were in x-box or in gamecube "SONY ABOUT WHICH YOU WERE THINKING"¡OH MY GOD! THis is a Nightmare Okay,okay...that was very exaggerated but it was an injustice dead to the x-box.』

(STUPID THAN EVER)
『THIS GAME HORRIBLE I DONT HAVE WORD TO DESRCRIBE THIS BAD GAME BUY SPYORO HE IS BTEER CRASH BANDICOOT IS STUPID AND SUCKER.』

(An Interesting game)
『This game is great! Single player, i don't know i have never played it single player, but i would be the judge if i was going to... I played this game with 2 friends and wow we played hours and hours and hours. Maybe it was just not being alone part for video games. There is only one person i dont like being on this game and its the girl with daggers, i totally used her 2 guns and just popped off peices and made it easier for my friends to kill to much moving and shooting with her. But i was only her once and then i was like F it and made a rule where i wasnt her again. This game is great the story is good, a lil hard to figure out. You go through weapon ammo quickly with special weapons. But i love this game and forever will.』

(Definitely more fun with friends)
『I'm a pretty big fan of Role Playing Games, I tend to try and experience all the varieties that are offered, just to at least experience something new and different. Hunter: The Reckoning is a little different by RPG video game standards, but it's hardly a revolutionary game. I think this is the first time I've come across a table top RPG converted to video game that did not allow the users to upgrade the characters on their own. Now, I haven't played the table top game, so I'm not entirely sure how that system worked, but I'm willing to try it out.

On top of this the story line involved demons, and I tend to like things of that ilk, so I thought this might appeal to me. I must say the story line wasn't as well done as I thought. It certainly can't compete on the same level as something like Diablo, which is really the premeire game for killing demons in my book! The background story felt kind of random and thrown together, but the game play and challenge factor kind of saved the game.

The background story basically consists of this: There was apparently an incident at a prison many years ago and your characters were there watching a murderer be executed (no idea why) when all of a sudden people around them turned into monsters. They faught their way out and boarded up the prison, today they have returned because the ghosts/demons or whatever have returned to feast on the souls and bodies of people throwing a rave in the prison. Seriously... who throws a rave in a prison? A fairly loose premise of a video game, but in the end your characters have to lock the spirits back up and save the world!

As a single player game Hunter: The Reckoning sucks and has virtually no value to me, but play it with a few friends and it actually becomes pretty fun. The game is challenging in some areas and you have to sit down and strategize with your friends. I don't think this game has endless hours of fun, because after beating it, you're kind of done with it. The game took only two evenings for my friends and I to conquer, and the shortness is the only reason why a replay is viable. I would say, in terms of replay value, you can only go through it twice before it gets really boring at the most. The camera control really does kind of suck, I saw some reviewers touch upon that. I do realize that as a game designer camera control problems are tantamount in a multi-player overhead RPG. I really think the programmers could have handled it a lot better and really should've gone in a different direction.

Overall I thought this game was pretty fun, but only when I played it with a few friends. I gave it a three overall because of some design flaws, the weak storyline, and not being able to level up your character on your own. Maybe I'm just picky, but I've come to expect a lot more from RPG's thanks to very epic games like Diablo, Knights of the Old Republic, etc. Pick this up you're looking for a multiplayer game to get together with a few friends and delve into a different world.』

(Good game for lovers of monster-killing and quests)
『I'm new to Xbox games,but I got this one because I like dungeon-crawls/shooters,ala "Diablo 1,and 2." I found this game to be even more addictive than Diablo,something I thought I could never say.
The graphics are pretty cool.The sounds,music and voices are suitably creepy.I have only been able to play single mode,but have had a lot of fun killing all the available enemies.If I could only find another 56 year old who would like to play!!
The quests are well thought out.The placement of "items to find" isn't too difficult to master.The quests are not very easy by yourself,which is fine with me.
I just love the game,and will replay it often.』

(Single player fun....but with friends EVEN BETTER!)
『I played this game in single player mode and to me it seemed like a mix of Gauntlet Dark Legacy, with the edges that resemble magic, and Resident Evil with the whole zombie slaughtering shoot em up game playing. You get some awesome weapons like high powered rifles, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, crossbows, pistols and shotguns. You also get magic to either blow away the enemies or healing yourself. Single player really is pretty difficult and fun, but with friends it is totally kick @$$. If you're into these types of RPGs then you will beat it with a friend with average difficulty. I gave it a four out of four because the camera angles can be annoying at times when approaching the enemy and it is lacking in graphics. BUT, it is an older game so whaddya expect. Have fun...』

(Must have Xbox Classic)
『This game has been out for a while. Part II is even out, but this one is great. It's a 1st gen Xbox game that you should own. I went through the entire game with a friend and we had a blast. You can have up to 4 people at a time play and the mayhem just keeps on comming.』
『There is evil everywhere... most people just can't see it. Monsters are hiding among us. They are our babysitters, our policemen, our bartenders, even our friends. Once you realize it's around you, there's no way for you to ignore it; messages are sent and magical powers are received forcing you to realize that your only job now is to take back the world from the monsters that seek to destroy it. You have become a Hunter!

Set in White Wolf's World of Darkness,Hunter: The Reckoningis a third-person action-shooter where players take the role of one of four unique hunters: Deuce, a biker ex-con; Father Cortez, a prison chaplain; Kassandra, a raver chick; and Samantha, a tough ex-cop. Armed with a variety of fearsome weaponry, players will battle it out with a plethora of supernatural enemies. Go it alone or team up with up to three other players on a crusade against evil. Nonstop heart-pumping action combined with outstanding graphics bring the true spirit ofHunter: The Reckoningto life, and give players a taste of the World of Darkness.』

(Love the game - When it doesn't lock up on the Xbox 360)
『I bought this game because it was listed as a compatible game for the Xbox 360. It works great in single mode, but when you try to race 3 or 4 players on a split screen the game locks up. I have the current software version and I double verified that Microsoft says that it will work with the 360, but from my experience, don't bother trying. Great game if you have the original Xbox.

(ATV 2 Quad Power Racing)
『This is an awesome simple game of tricks, racing, and kicking other people as often as possible! It's great for single player all the way to four players. It's definitely an awesome game! *Update* Using this game on the XBox 360 is a bit different, the graphics aren't very good due to the age of the game. Also, there are a few issues when trying to use the 360 dashboard. It is still quite fun though!』

(Awesome)
『This Game is my favorite game for xbox it is really realistic and the tracks are awesome if u like 4 wheelers and 3 wheelers u should definetly buy this game!』

(Great Physics?! You gotta be kiddin' me.)
『I can't believe my eyes. I read the review from mmuscat9 from CANADA "EH", and I'm thinking that the 9 must mean he's 9 yrs old, and if so, forgive me son. You keep having fun with this game and don't read the rest of my review, ok? Anyway, I don't see how he and the editorial reviewer can say that the handling characteristics in this game are realistic. You can twirl the quad around any-which-way you please while in the air, even if you don't pre-load before taking off! Cornering at low speeds is ok but at racing speed, the experience ranges from totally detached to utter nonsense. Case in point: on the Dune:Lagoon course, there's a downhill left hander just before you go back up the hill and encounter water for the first time. If you go in there as fast as you can, you can't make the turn. That's as it should be if you are going for realistic handling. But when you take the turn too fast, you drift out wide and the quad slides up onto the almost-sheer cliff wall like it's on ice, then comes off the cliff about 30 feet in the air and you're falling face down toward certain death . . . but wait . . . there's no need to die! All you have to do is pull back on the left thumbstick and you land like a butterfly with sore feet. Ridiculous. I'd like to see mmuscat9 from CANADA "EH" do that on one of his "every weekend" rides. It's totally an arcade racer and not a very good one at that.
ATV OffRoadFury2 is head and shoulders better than this one. In fact, the reason I bought the game was because I saw my friend's 3 year old playing ATV OffRoadFury2 on PS2. I thought it would be perfect for my 5 year old, but I have an XBox and QP2 is the only ATV title on XBox so I figured I'd take a leap of faith. I mean, it came out AFTER Fury2 so it's got to have everything it has and more, right? WRONG! ...
The most frustrating aspects of this game are the sound and the lack of a Free Ride mode. In Fury2, the two stroke quads sound just like real two strokes and the four strokes sound just like real four strokes. In QP2, all engine sounds are the same generic buzz. In Fury2, you can take an endless free ride throughout any of the environments. Heck, you can even turn off collisions with the environment so you don't fall off your bike every time you hit a rock or tree - perfect for really young gamers! The water looks great too and as long as you keep the throttle hammered, you can keep riding even when you're fully submerged! Again, it's perfectly kid friendly while offering more true-to-life options for more seasoned gamers. QP2 has none of these features even though it came out AFTER Fury2!! Pathetic. When you go off track in QP2 you either run into a brick wall where the code ends or it respawns you back at the last check point after about 5-8 seconds off the beaten path - totally frustrating!
My 5 year old hates this game and so do I. ...』

(NEW PHYSICS GENERATION)
『This game is S I C K! I would call it the start to the new physics generation. The bike's reaction to your actions and to track conditions is bang on. I ride quads every weekend, and I can say from experience, this is the closest game yet. The only downfalls are: 1.- Engine sound effects- they all sound the same 2.- Freestyle- needs to be outside on seemingly endless boards (a la ATV Fury) 3.- Real Bikes!- there is not one real bike in this game. All that aside, definately a game to have in your cache. If there is a #3, I'm sure it would be a PHENOM!』
『ATV Quad Power Racing 2 takes you off-road for bumpy fun on the dirt trails!』
『The arcade-styleATV: Quad Power Racing 2is as much about big air and reckless hotdogging as it is about crossing the finish line. To make any progress in this game, you must not only win races, but master increasingly complicated tricks and combos. Taking the time to master tricks pays off in the end--there are no shortage of locked features that open up with each advance in skill.

The game incorporates a wide array of well-rendered racers, vehicles, and locations. The various racing courses are elaborate and nicely detailed. You can knock competitors out of your way by administering a solid kick while passing--not exactly sportsmanlike behavior, but gratifyingly reminiscent of the classicRoad Rash. For tricksters and stunt-riders, the freestyle arenas offer a candy store of possibilities. But the standout feature is the physics model behind the game. The overall handling and responsiveness of the vehicles is surprisingly realistic--even the controller vibration is more convincingly incorporated than in other racing games. Some finesse is required to pull off even the simpler tricks, and as with the real thing, it's easy to lose control of these powerful machines.--Maile Bohlmann

Pros:

  • Great graphics
  • Realistic physics and handling
  • Fun multiplayer and freestyle modes
  • Lots of unlockable bonuses
Cons:
  • Music is grating, annoying
  • Offensive moves (i.e. kicking) are underdeveloped
  • Training/practice modes are oversimplified

ATV: Quad Power Racing 2is all about big tricks, big boots in the face, and big finishes. The game features fast arcade-style gameplay with 10 of the top pro riders (including Dana Creech, Kory Ellis, and Tim Farr) and 40 real-life sponsors. There are 15 massive tracks in five different globe-spanning environments, plus two freestyle arenas. You can fight your way to the finish with kick attacks that teach your competitors not to even think about passing you, and cruise with an intuitive control system. Two-person mode lets you rip it up with your friends without the hassle of going outside.』

(Great game, buy it!)
『This game is great, I bought it not here but at a local gamestop, i bought it over live, because i did some research on it, and lots of gaming sites and user reviews says its better than live in anyways, it doesnt have like 3point and dunking allstar stuff like live has, but the street features is awesome, from playing 1v1 2v2 3v3 4v4 5v5! Overall when you are used to playing the live series it will fell really weird compared to live series but when you get used to get, its a hell-ah keeper.』

(Best basketball game seen on any system.)
『If you are doubting the NBA Live series, just try one of the last 2k games' basketball games. You will get hooked.』

(Addictive)
『I really love this NBA 2K7 more than NBA Live. The graphics are better, the plays, the dunks, and I love "The Crib" and how you can earn points to decorate your crib. I hope 2K8 will allow you to do more than earn trophies in your crib though. It would be nice to earn points for cars and so forth. I also love the introductions, the street games, but I wish they would allow you to play 3-Point shoot out and dunking contests for the AllStar Game. It would help if it was just a little bit more user friendly. I had to call to find out how save my seasons and playoffs- it does not say how to do that in the book. Also, when you create a player it would be nice if they show his face during the introduction. I know most b-ball games do not show it, but it would be nice if they did.

Overall I would recommend this game over NBA Live anyday.』

『A definite uprgrade from the 2K6 and much better than EA Sports '07. Players movements much more fluid, better animation, seems they have paid great attention to the players moves and techniques. We love the street ball game the best off of this!!』

(One of the better classic compilations)
『Taito Legends is a hard compilation to judge. It -- like Midway Arcade Treasures 1 -- mixes early, mid, and late 80s games, and it's just odd to have Electric Yo Yo on the same disc as Operation Wolf. There is, admittedly, a lot of filler -- the old lightgun games don't do well without a lightgun, the scrolling shooters are mostly forgettable, and three Space Invaders games might be too many for one compilation. However, the games span many genres (single-screen and scrolling shooters, adventure, puzzle, action) and the really good games are, well, really good.

Buy this compilation for:
* Space Invaders
* Jungle Hunt
* Bubble Bobble
* Rainbow Islands
* Phoenix
* Colony 7
* Zoo Keeper
* Elevator Action
* Plump Pop
* Rastan
* Super Qix
* New Zealand Story
* Plotting (aka Flipull)
* Tube It

The presentation is great. A lot of attention went towards this package, and it shows.

While there are glaring omissions (Japan and Europe got two compilations, with a total of around fifty games overall), it's a solid compilation. In any case, for the price, it's a steal.』

(Lame collection...)
『This is a collection of 1980s arcade games, 29 total. Most games are horrible and unpopular in its arcade days. This collection is much worse than Capcom Classics Collection. This collection is horrible like Sega Classics Collection. However this game is made by Taito AND Sega.

The few decent games:
Space Invaders, Spade Invaders Part 2: A true original shooter. Not nearly as good as Galaga and Galaxian. Average game.

Phoenix: Another shooter similar to Space Invaders. You shoot and prick away at a UFO's bottom orange belly. Average game.

The Ninja Kids: A horizontal brawler similar to Streets of Rage and Final Fight. 4 selectable players. The animation is pretty violent and bloody. Good game.

Rastan: A horizontal brawler with sword, similar to Castlevania and Ghost 'n' Goblins. Good game.

Bubble Bobble: You shoot trapping bubbles at enemies and pop them. Good game.

Gladiator: A horizontal brawler. Only one enemy at a time. You can move your shield up and down fast to create a wide energy barrier. Similar to Karateka. Cheesy game.

2 games in this collection are based on moving a dot around a covered picture, you draw and reveal the picture. Too bad its not the one with naked girls.... Few other games are FPS on rail with paper thin enemies popping out in front and projectiles flying toward you. One is pretty decent.

Overall don't buy this game. Only 5 to 7 decent games total out of 29. I recommend Capcom Classics Collection, Midway Arcade Treasures 1, then Namco 50th Anniversary Collection.』

(A couple of good games, with a lot of filler ...)
『This is basically a commercial derivative of the MAME arcade emulator (In fact, if you have the PC version of this game, there are rom images on the disc that you can drop straight into MAME). This means that all the games will play about the same as they do in MAME. This works in favor of Taito Legends, except for Phoenix - the sound isn't even CLOSE to being accurate. I think the sound in Jungle Hunt and Gladiator may be a little off as well. But other than that, I didn't notice any other flaws in the games I've played before. Based on the fact that this is essentially a shrink-wrapped MAME, the emulation here is mostly spot-on.

The biggest problem with this collection is that there are a couple of really good games, and the rest are basically crap. If you buy this game, buy it for the games you recognize, because the ones you don't recognize will probably do nothing for you. There weren't any games I hadn't played before that I spent more than 5 minutes with here, except for Space Gun, which is average at best.

For me, having an arcade-perfect version of Bubble Bobble to play on my Toshiba HDTV was worth the price of the package, but I wish they had put 5-6 strong titles on here instead of the 20+ medicore titles we ended up with. Oh, and though I can't confirm this yet, if you have the option of picking up the Xbox or the PS2 version, I'd recommend the Xbox version, because the PS2 supposedly has (more) issues with inaccurate sound (if this matters to you).』

(Taito legends review)
『I rented this game and while it has a hefty number of games (29) it leaves a LOT to be desired.

Here is a list of games on the disc

1,Battle shark a so-so shooter

2.Bubble-bobble great game

3.Colony 7

4.Continental Circus great racing game from my youth

5.Electric yo-yo

6.Elevator action has NOT aged well and looks like it came from the Commodore 64 era

7.Ecxisus

8.Gladiator

9.Great swordsman

10.Jungle Hunt

11.New Zealand story great side scrolling platformer (check out the little chick havin a quick drag of a smoke) in the intro

12.Ninja kids average game

13.Operation Thunderbolt sequel to Operation Wolf while not as good as OW its a very good shooter

14,Operation Wolf I remember pumping plenty of quarters into this one back in the day.

15.Phoenix

16.Plotting

17.Plump pop

18.Rainbow islands

19.Rastin

20.Return of the invaders

21.Space gun

22.Space invaders Released back in the year I was born still quite addictive for me

23.Space invaders 2

24.Super Qix

25.Thunder fox

26.Tokio

27.Tube it

28.Volfied

29.Zoo Keeper

These games span the late 70's 80's and early 90's. Some of these games fall under the following for me they are either obscure and I never played them til today or I barely remembered them and some just haven't held up well at all. For me there are at least 2 very glaring obmissions they are

1.Double Dragon (1987)

2.Chase H.Q. (1988)

Why were these 2 not included they should have gotten rid of 2 of the other games and I would've bumped up my rating had these been included. I sure hope there is a volume 2. I strongly recommend renting this first as far as I can see there are only 4 or 5 titles worth playing. Bottom line this could've and should've been a lot better.』

(Was ok.)
『I love the Serious Sam Franchise. I own all the games and have played it sine it first came out. This one I didn't care for too much. It moved a away from the original games, just alittle bit. The enviroments you run around in aren't as big as they used to be and you don't have as much room to run around in. I'm not saying they aren't big just not as big.All of the Sam games are extremely linear (That means, you don't have many options to choose from as per which way you go). But because the enviroments were so large it wasn't as noticeable. I loved all the new enemies and references to some old enemies that didn't make it into this one (The Gnarrs. I love them). There aren't as many enemies per level though. The other games would have, let's say, 1000 per level. While this one has 650 (These are just example numbers). And since there are fewer enemies to kill they made them more difficult to kill. I loved how in the old games you could take in hundreds of enemies at once. I really liked the graphics update for this. The game is supposed to be cartoony looking it fits witht the style of the other games, so don't bother comparing it to HL2, Bioshock, Condemed: Criminal Origins, or F.E.A.R. Overall the game wasn't to terribly bad. The humor did kind of suck and it did kind of jump away from the Sam protecting Earth alittle bit. All in all the game was ok and it did present some cool new things to the Serious Sam univers. But I can only give it 3 out 5 stars.』

(Can't Go Wrong With This Title)
『Other reviewers have noted that this game is fast-paced with a lot of over-the-top action, so I won't reiterate what's already been documented. What this game has is irreverence and fun in literal truckloads. Yes, it's a button-mashing fire-fest. But the game has heart and I really enjoyed the character of "Serious Sam." His one-liners are simply hilarious and I can't imagine anyone not wanting to share an adventure with this muscle-bound wisecracker.
I'm hoping (fervently) for a "Serious Sam 3" for the 360; and you know what? I don't think even Uwe Boll could mess up a "Serious Sam" movie! He'd be a great character!』

『"SERIOUS SAM 2 - XBOX"
Well, first let me say that I am a FPS(first person shooter) nut. However, I consider myself to be very picky. I don't like slow-down and I like good/realistic graphics. After playing a demo of Serious Sam(1) a couple of years ago I didn't give Serious Sam a second thought after about 5 minutes of play. Well, I played the demo for Serious Sam II and was pleasantly suprised(I'm so glad there was a demo, I'd have never tried it if there wasn't). So I bought this at my leasure and after playing it for about 20 minutes or so I realized I was hooked.

This game has the most action I've ever seen in a video game. It's not realistic at all, but that's one of it's charms. It's nothing short of a run-and-gun good time of a video game. To me it feels like what a video game should be like. Fast, fun and tons of action. Literally, it is almost non-stop action. It doesn't take itself too seriously and it's not overly dramatic with lots of corny one-liners and deliberate cliche characters and levels. This game is exactly what a video game should be like. Don't get me wrong, I still love the truly serious FPS, but this is a refreshing break from all the drama and it's a lot of fun too.

FUN, FUN, FUN is the best way to describe Serious Sam II. Nice graphics and tons of action. I'll play this over and over again because it's so addictive and it's a refreshing alternative to the truly serious FPS video games.』

(Really Serious?...Not!)
『Serious Sam II, is a first person shooter (FPS) where you you are attacked by waves of alien creatures. The character you play named, Sam is a gung-ho character, dressed in jeans and t-shirt, he's a smart aleck and will spout funny one-liners during the game as he frags aliens with the variety of weapons. To progress to the next areas of the map you need to destroy all hostile aliens, some maps are closed off by some sort of gate and need to be unlocked; this is usually done by finding a switch or key somewhere or requires a minor puzzle to be solved. The gameplay is similar to the DOOM series in that aspect, but Serious Sam is more comical in nature. Serious Sam II just like its predecessor is serious about the shooting aspect; it has a very arcade-like feel and it is nothing like other FPS which are more like a simulator. Fans of the Rainbow Six series might not enjoy the aradey feel of this game because there is nothing cerebral about it. Most of the levels take place in lush tropical environments, lots of fauna and colorful palattes are used which look just a beautiful as the island levels from the game, FarCry. The alien creatures are unique in design and most of them are really mean demon/hybrid looking. The sound effects are just awesome and really take advantage of your speakers surround sound and subwoofers. Right from the start of the game you are equipped with a electric saw, dual revolver guns and one energy weapon. Of course you'll aquire even better weapons as you progress through the game, they all kick "serious" [...]! If you like FPS that are very arcadey I highly recommend this game, I also recommend DOOM and Red Faction II.

Pros:
+excellent action
+excellent weapons
+excellent sound effects
+excellent graphics
+excellent level designs
+excellent controls
+excellent enemies
+bloody shoot-outs
+smooth framerate
+Sam is a funny characters
+very arcadey

『I discovered the xbox in mid-2005 and bought about 30 games to feed my instant addiction, many of them "first person shooters." This is absolutely the most fun of them all. The graphics and story aren't quite Halo 2, but this is my number-one, boot it up, destroy-everything-for-5-minutes-and-go-to-work-satisfied game.』
