There are a couple of things I liked: Creating a player is amazingly detailed. It would have been neat to create a team of superhuman players like I was able to do on my old Nintendo Baseball game.
Graphics are neat. The faces don't look perfect, but you can see who the players are. In fact, for me, the graphics is the only thing that save this clunker from being a one star game.
The music is terrible and annoying. I don't like rap, and all the music appears to be rap.
The menu controls are not intuitive. Game play is rather boring.
What I'd pay: Less than $3.00. Graphics can only go so far.

I bought this along with my new Xbox 360. Got it for a good deal at walmart and mostly got it to play with friends. Im still overall happy with the game but as other reviewers stated, there are some technical flaws too. The camera gets stuck sometimes and you cant see. To me the players weren't totally rendered. The arm crease looks very incorrect. But the faces and the arenas look amazing. Except the fans still look horrible. Either way, most of them are moving or looking somewhat real so its all good.
The game is decent at best. I am waiting to see what the new version can offer me and if it offers what it has right now, I may have to grab 2k7.』
(Umm, you call this next-gen?) 『I have been a fan of live for a very long time beginning with live 2000. NBA Live 06 on current-gen consoles was a step down from 05, but wasn't bad, at least you could enjoy yourself. But this game takes home the prize for Worst NBA Live Game ever. To begin with, the graphics are amazing, the animations are so realistic my uncle thought I was watching TV while playing, its just that beautiful. But this game suffers from horrendous camera angles and absolutely horrible gameplay. This could be partially blamed on the camera angles which dont even follow the ball half of the time. Going on a fast break? Not so fast...Literally. The players sometimes run slower than turtles and the controls are clunky. This is not to mention the idiotic free-throw system, which has you moving the right stick up and down. You will miss 90% of the time, guaranteed. Then comes the fact you can only play exhibition or season, no franchise. This was the last straw until I returned this game back where it belongs, in the backroom in some game store. One other advantage of this game is that it made me realize how much better 2K6 is.』

(Mafia Version 0.5) 『After playing through Mafia on the PC, this Xbox port is an unexpected disappointment. In hindsight the game never should have been ported to PS2 or Xbox. All of the things that made Mafia so visually arresting on the PC were stripped or deleted from the console version. The draw distance is awful: a hazy fog obscures the beauty of Lost Heaven. The lines on the street barely paint in as the front bumper of your car passes them. The landscape is stripped of detail, leaving only the muddy textures of building surfaces that were forgiveable in the PC game. Many of the customizeable in-game options have been deleted (like the ability to manually shift your car), just adding to the dullness.
I suppose if I hadnt played the PC version first, I could have seen this as acceptable. But knowing how the city of Lost Heaven *should* look and sound leaves me with the impression of a dead, barren world on the Xbox. Get a decent computer and play that version of Mafia; it's a world of difference.』

(An all-around entertaining game!) 『I am all for people expressing their opinions, but I will say that this game is much better than some of the negative reviews would have you believe. The missions are fun and challenging enough to keep you interested, not frustrated, and the settings/environments are nice. In response to some of the reviews, I would like to point out that the driving in Mafia is not difficult. It is different because it uses the triggers for acceleration and reverse as opposed to the more common button method, but it is not difficult. You will pick up on the controls and handling in no time at all. Also, Mafia is not Grand Theft Auto, and it is not meant to be. I don't know why people continue to rate every game based on how it compares to GTA. The only aspects of the game that may take some getting use to are the reloading and aiming techniques. It is actually a bit more realistic than other titles, but the timing will frustrate you at first. A trick that I have learned is to keep your backup weapons loaded so that you can switch to them for a quick shot when one piece is empty/reloading.

(Great and fantastic Sim Racing Game!!!) 『I'll never forget the first time I put this game into my X Box and fired it up! I had not adjusted any of the custom soundtracks, and was using the default San Francisco Live 105 radio program! Wow! I heard a DJ that I listen to all the time here in Frisco! I couldn't believe my ears! It was like I was driving in my beloved San Francisco, in real life! In the words of Christopher Farley, in "Tommy Boy," THAT WAS AWESOME!
And when I adjusted the soundtrack and added in my own music, it GOT EVEN BETTER! I felt like I was driving my own Super Model race car, around the streets of Frisco, enjoying my life to its fullest! Just writing this review, is making me hungry to race home and play this game again! I love it!
Racing bonus and karma, is a nice touch. Different than other game franchises. I have not had the pleasure of playing installment 2, or 3, on the X Box 360, but I will defiantly pick up the X Box 360 version, when I buy my 360 Holiday 2007.

I've never, NEVER, put a game down because it was hard or badly made, until now. Dead to Rights is with out a single doubt in my mind as the worst video game EVER to appear on a console. A horrible rip off of Max Pain, almost like movie squeals that aren't really squeals, just trying profit off of name like American Psycho 2 or 8mm2. Just talking about this festering pile of waste covered in maggots gets my blood boiling!
This garage has no in-game saves, meaning you have to play entire sections over when you die. The jail house is the hardest mission that I know of, between unwinable mini-games you have to brawl your way out and ever body is better marital artist then you, in real life a cop and beat a lifer to a bloody pulp with one hand tied behind their back any day of the week!
The controls are the worst of any game, you can't change them and the Y-axis is permanently inverted, making turning a nightmare.
The bullet-time in this waste of materials, it is so flawed there no point in using it because it doesn't even work! You can only use it while performing a shoot-dough and you can't spin around to attack enemies that are on your sides, you can only hit the people in front of you, also it doesn't slow down the speed of the bullets, I've been shot out of the air because of this.
The weapons and auto-targeting are the worst of any game! Head shots are non-existent which means you have to use and entire gun to kill some one. That another thing, you character doesn't stock up on ammo, if you want to reload you have to find another gun.

The difficulty arises from a horrible camera and auto-targeting. A game should be legitimately and purposely difficult, not difficult from crappy game play.
Here's an example: I have a guy in a headlock, and I'm using him to shield myself from bullets. There are about twenty guys down the street taking potshots at me. But one baddy is closing in fast, coming up on my side.
Now, first of all, I'm lucky if I can see him at all, because the camera may be stuck in a corner looking at a lamppost, or it might be stuck inside the geometry of my character, so that I'm looking at the inside of my own head. But assuming I can see the guy coming in from the side, if I try to target him, I end up targeting the people 150 yards down the street. I can try to target over and over again, and it just toggles between the people who are not an imminent threat to me. Meanwhile Joe Bad Guy comes up to my side and blows my brains out from point blank range.
If you enjoy exercises in frustration, this game is for you.』

This game is definitely great monster-bashing fun but had little replay value. However, completing the game unlocks Rayne's other outfits which may add some more hours of replay fun but there's no guarantee. (Actually a LOT better than the first, and I enjoyed the first) 『This game is great! I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed playing the first. Aside from the fact that the first got a little repetitive at times it was still fun. Well the second is even more fun and it felt a lot less repetitive, especially towards the end. Naturally we'll expect to see some similarities to the first installment, but I think they've made some quality improvements this time around. The most noticeable is probably in the graphics department. Rayne is looking hotter than ever! The in game cinematic sequences are also extremely strong in this regard; I'd rather watch a movie of those than the crap Uwe Boll puts out.
If you thought Rayne was up against some precarious forces with Jurgen Wulf... well she's up against even more dangerous enemies this time around! This game is a large scale production by comparison. There's something very bad going on in the world and a lot of powerful vampire's are uniting. They're going to try and remake the world in their image and it's up to Rayne to stop them! She's lost contact with the Brimstone society and just has Severin to help guide her through all the dangers of this adventure. I don't want to reveal anymore of the story, because it's very well written. Don't expect to see that Nazi element appearing from the first again, that's not in here at all. I actually like this story a lot more over all. It's much more cinematic and has some really good twists and turns.
One thing they changed that I didn't like very much was her weapon system. No, not the blades, her guns. Don't get me wrong... the Dragons are awesome weapon concepts and I love how you upgrade them overtime as you get more experience. However, one thing that was cool in the first game was that you could pick up new weapons and you could search the environment for more ammunition. The environment in this installment is even more interactive, but I feel like they've removed the element that makes me want to explore. There are no items for Rayne to pick up, so why should I explore every inch of the environment? Sure it's really cool to break stuff, but after a few hours that gets a bit boring and you just feel like moving on because you're not getting anything out of it. That's really the only one small fault I have with the game.
As I mentioned before the graphic quality of the game is far superior to the original. I think they've even changed Rayne's costume slightly because she looks a lot more alluring in this edition. Not to mention the enemies she's fighting are a lot more varied. Sure in certain sequences you get similarly rendered enemies, but they change as you go through the levels. That didn't happen as much with the first game. The overall script is a lot stronger as well. It felt like they took the time to sit down and write a more well thought out concept. Even the small quips Rayne says when she's fighting people are a lot cooler and varied. Rayne also has a LOT more combos! This is by far the greatest added feature ever. It's so much more than just hit "X" a bunch of times like in the first game. This one relies on special combinations which result in her executing a cool impressive maneuver! I loved this feature. Another fun aspect is that a lot of the puzzles are solved by throwing enemies into electrical units, woodchippers, etc. in order to solve a puzzle to go onto the next section. This was absolutely hilarious. Remember... the harpoon is usually what you have to use to throw an enemy into a whirling fan blade most efficiently. You'd think this would get redundant after the fifth puzzle... but for some reason it actually doesn't. Throwing enemy bodies into fans in different ways is actually kind of fun to figure out. Though, I must admit that I had to put on God Mode from time to time while I sat around and figured out how to solve some of these puzzles. Such as when fighting final level bosses, there's usually something special you have to do to beat them... you can't just hack them to death like most other enemies.
If you enjoyed playing the first game then you'll surely find this one even more fun. If you got tired of the assassination mission to just kill the same Nazi over and over, then you'll be pleased to hear this game doesn't have that same failing. I actually highly recommend this game; it's a lot of fun. Some of the acrobatic scenarios are incredibly frustrating, but you feel like an idiot after you figure them out most of the time! You can expect to see the same amount of extreme violence purveyed throughout this game as in the first. This one is probably a lot more intense on that level, so if that's your interest in playing this, you will not be disappointed. Whatever your reason for delving into the world of Bloodrayne, it's a lot of fun once you're there!』

(Lara Who?) 『This would be a five star game if there weren't so many 'throw this into that' parts in this game; Those who have played it know what I mean, and those who haven't should see for themselves...because everything else about this game is fantastic. It looks great on xBox, sounds great, and most importantly, controls very well. And while some levels are better than others, there are a lot of colorful enviornments to inflict your constant carnage. Rayne's harpoon and special moves are all fun to use, and the cut scenes when you throw people to certain deaths is pretty cool; This is one of the few games where I actually bothered to learn all the combo moves/kills Rayne can perform; I am a big fan of the one where she hoists a victim onto her blade, spins him, and raises her other blade to cut the limbs off the victim as he spins around on her other blade(got that?). This game is fun and creative; And while I miss the Nazi setting in the first game, the Goth Villian thing works out pretty good. I can't imagine what they'll do with a part 3 on a next gen console, because this one still holds up pretty damn good on it's own. Also, plug in the cheat code for 'extra gore'('dodge this moist pimp', I think)for some added fun!』

(Insane tricks, jumps and levels.) 『For those of you who never really got into Cool Boarders or Amped because going down big, not so amazing slopes with the occasional drop or ramp didn't really make you stand up and start shouting in amazment, SSX Tricky might be what your looking for. This game isn't realistic, but I say that there's no point in playing a realistic game if the developers forgot to add fun. If flying off a cliff and falling through a 200 foot drop while busting out every trick you have ever heard of (or haven't heard of) doesn't trigger any kind of change in your posture, cause the hair on the back of your neck to stand up, or even make you raise your eyebrows, you have no soul. Your character can get through wipeouts without a scratch that would have broken every bone in a real persons body. None of the characters are real snow boarders, but they all have a very distinct personality. The courses are great and strewn with jumps and rails. The heart of SSX Tricky is in the games tons of crazy gravity-defying tricks to throw into insane combo strings. Every time you pull off a trick, your tricky meter increases and if you mess up it decreases. When it fills up completely, you can preform your characters insane signature tricks. The races are fun but not nearly as good as the showoffs. You can spend hours playing the same course over and over trying to beat your high score or perfect your technique. Mulitplayer is also great. Makeing your friends cry while you pull off an Experimental over their head is a blast in showoffs and races. I never really got into the story mode, but playing through it unlocks new outfits, boards, courses, ect. SSX Tricky isn't the most realistic snow boarding game out there (ok, so it's not very realistic at all) but it's more fun than any other snowboarding game I've ever played. It's based on thrills, not realism.』

The addicting, ADD style of racing mixed with the need to do tricks is one of the most brilliant concepts that could ever be explored. I personally wasnt into the other Dragon Ball Z games because they were all Street Fighter type games. I enjoy fighting games but i enjoy an action adventure beat em up game even more cause they last longer. This is a great game. Now you wont find any ground breaking graphics here but i enjoy the overall animation and character design alot and i like the cell type shading the game has added in. Nice clips from the TV show are also thrown in. You either start with 1 player or 2 and theres an objective in each stage. Once you get to the end of the stage you fight a boss like Raditz, Napp etc. Now the games story takes place in the Saiyan saga so it starts with Raditz arriving on earth, kidnapping Gohan, and killing Goku. Its up to the Z fighter gang to get the 7 Dragon Balls to wish Goku back to life before the other 2 Saiyan's Vegeta and Nappa arrive. This game is 2 players and i kinda wish i had someone to join me in the fun.』
(Very Fun Game) 『A long time DBZ fan am I. I own this game and have beaten it into submission.
While it's a very fun game and probably the best DBZ game to date, it's a short game if you quick to pick up the games mechanics. The fighting does get repetative, but doesn't fully take away from the replay value. It's not a game played once and put on the shelf to collect dust by any means.
The graphics are good for the time in which it was released; however, the camera angles do get in the way sometimes. If you playing in two-player-mode, get ready for a little more frustration. The game does up the difficulty a bit with two people playing, but it also forces both players to stay in a close proximity. Not so fun when teamed up with the camera angles issue. Over a short period of time the two players should be able to get past this nuisance and simply enjoy the very fun animation and game play.
Great for all ages!!! If it wasn't for those minor issues I would have given a full 5 stars... and I can't seem to give it 4.5 stars so 4 it is!』

(Hoo boy, that is a BAD stench coming from here.) 『I have to say one thing before I go on with this review: I like DBZ. The Budokai games are fun, and the show was good until the Buu series. Budokai 2 is the best DBZ game I've ever played, and I've played quite a few. But this game SUCKS. There is no "fun" aspect. My neighbor borrowed it from another neighbor, and we played, because it sounded fun. It's DBZ, but there's free-roam, and co-op. Nothing bad, right? Wrong. You run around and beat things up. That's where the fun starts, and where it ends. There are six playable characters, too bad there's only one, two differences between that person, and all the others. You run, fight, fly, fight, blow up rocks trying to find DBZ coins, fight, destroy the disc knowing that you aren't going to get more than a dollar for it, you cry over $20 lost. Why is it that the biggest hyped games aren't nearly as good as they were cracked up to be? Pariah, Prey, MK: Shaolin Monks, Tomb Raider: Legend, etc. etc.
Gameplay: 1/10 As I explained in the above paragraph, you run, fly, and fight. The try to keep the gameplay up by adding these coins, Which are just out of flying reach. You can blow up mountains, but you can't fly 6 inches higher? The flying is really just hovering there, with little flames coming off of your feet. There really isn't much to talk about here, because there isn't much else that I haven't explained.
Sound: 1/10 Could they try to make more annoying sounds and music? Well, I suppose they could use the Goldeneye: Rogue Agent DS music.
Graphics: 1/10 This game has worse graphics than MK: Deception's Konquest mode, which is just another way to get koins. I'm not kidding. Okay, how about this: the graphics are worse than the Cat in the Hat game.
Value: 0/100 The only reason you'd actually pay $[...] for this game is if you are 6 years old, mentally deranged, or you're a masochist. I wouldn't take the game unless you paid me $[...] or more in cash.

On each mission you have no way to save the game without going through a checkpoint. Also, there are no health packs to grab during the game, so if your health is running very low and the game is automatically saved at a checkpoint, you must start that area with a low health score, finding it near impossible to finish the level you are at.
One of the levels had a choice of a sniper rifle, which took forever to reload, and didn't give the option of a manual reload which meant if you were getting fired upon, you would likely die (certainly quicker if your health was very low) while reloading.
On a particular mission, the "friendlies" were firing on me, which shouldn't happen in any game.
Overall the game is very bad and gets the lowest possible score from me.』

(Good game mechanic and decent pace.) 『I was reluctant to purchase this game due to the mediocre reviews on some of the game sites, so I decided to buy a used copy. I have played the game for about 3 hours, and I'm pleased with the game so far.
The story is not that deep, and the production quality of the cut scenes for the origin story of the Imperfects are not as good as the rest of the games. They use real life actors with narration to tell the stories. The dialog is fairly short, so the voice acting isn't much of a factor. However, the story mode does a decent job of adding variety to the fights. The story mode should be thought of as several story modes for each character that seem to be related. Imagine watching a movie where the characters are separated through the city and have to battle villains on their own. You just jump from one character to the next as you progress through their story. As you finish each mission you are taken back to a mission selection screen where you can choose from at most 4 character missions. Sometimes less than 4 missions are available and you regain options as missions and characters unlock. A co-op mode in the story mode would have been a good addition, but because of the nature of the character specific story lines, this may be difficult to implement. Here is a list of the different objectives I've encountered so far.
-Standard one on one fight in the different environments. -Defeat an enemy given a time limit. -Destroy a number of different enemies like robots and flying machines. -Throw a number of enemies off the environment like a bridge.
The environments have plenty of destructible objects that can be used during the fight. The look and feel is dark as most of the fights occur in the evening. There's often plenty of room to fight, so you can hide behind objects or get some distance to allow your character to heal or restore his/her powers when you get in trouble.
I haven't been able to find anyone online through XBOX Live, but I haven't tried very much. I haven't played many versus games. The reviews mention that the characters are not balanced. I haven't found it too imbalanced, but the characters do play differently. Some of them have some similarities like Spider-Man, Venom, and Dare Devil. There's an Imperfect character that plays similar to Storm. The fights have varied in length from 30 seconds to 5 minutes for me depending on how I chose to play.
The fight mechanic is fun. The close combat isn't as deep as some of the other fighter games. You mainly have a weak and strong attack which responds differently with a jump or a direction. You can pick up and throw objects as well as catch objects thrown to you if timed correctly. Some characters have different abilities such as shoot items for ranged attacks, fly, lift heavier objects, transport, or heal. You can also block, but I haven't gotten the hang of it. Some times it seems to be effective, but sometimes not. This may depend on the enemy and the type of attack they're using. Most of the characters can also do a power block which can deflect ranged attacks from the enemy.
If you're a Marvel fan and like the roster, I would recommend this game especially for a used price. If you expect a deep story mode and leveling system like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, then do some more research on this game.』

The game is frustrating to play in story mode because all of the elements are off and not tweaked to perfection... example: Magneto as a boss is easier to kill than a robot who shoots a beam at you in the level. That shouldn't be even possible! 2. The robots are insanely good towards the end. 3. Who wants to keep destroying robots 4. Graphics aren't that great, but have a gothic feel to them. 5. Overall just isn't that great of a game.』
