Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (!!!!DONT LISTEN TO THEM!!!!) 『Don't listen to the other reviews. I got the game a long long time ago, and I still love to play it. I do agree that some of the minigames could have some major improvement; but despite this, one minigame is very, very, fun to do. The high jump minigame is what I mainly do on this game. (besides races) Also the races the cars you're racing are accually not like a four year old is driving them. They try to run you off the road, smash you, stay directly in front of you, and pass you. It is a game that accually might have a possibility of beating you. Also when you crash you don't have some stupid damage bar, your car gets dented where it was hit. If you don't like games where you might lose, don't get this game. If you like games that are accually a challenge and fun, this is the game for you. I think this is the best racing game for the xbox council hands down!』
(Worth exactly $10) 『Flatout is a very average racing game with average cars and a below-average soundtrack. The car handling is spotty and the graphics aren't Burnout Revenge quality by a long shot but not too bad either. I think the developers made a mistake by only having crappy junk cars and the soundtrack is lame. But the minigames make this a solid $10 used game purchase. The games where you hurl the driver through the windshield at targets are fun and the damage to the cars is very good too. Don't pay too much for this game and you might not be too disappointed.』
(Interesting Physics but Poor Graphics and Sound) 『Flat Out is a racing game that rewards you for smashing into other cars. You're expected to run dirty. Minigames involve things like flinging your driver the longest distance.
You can be a guy or a girl, and you can choose from a variety of car options. Once you get into the races, what you usually notice first is the rag doll physics of the drivers - as they get flung from their cars. Most racing games focus on the cars - but in this one, you can achieve gory death for yourself or others by the lack-of-seatbelt ejection.
I appreciated the different worlds you run in - on regular race tracks, on off-road dirt through forests, on snowy trails, and so on. However, everything seemed very "muddy" to me - and often it was hard to see on the screen what was road and what was brown near-road-but-not-driveable. Maybe their aim was to have all obstacles camoflagued, but in practice it made it not fun to drive towards an open spot and smash into something there.
So in general I wasn't keen on the graphics. Normally I love deformable objects, including cars. However, these cars didn't look like they were "dented" realistically. It seemed more like a plasic object had melted strangely.
The sounds were even worse. I was quite not-fond of most of the songs played in the soundtrack, and the RRRRR RRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRR of the cars must've been generated on a sound machine.
I didn't find the driving part to be that bad, and I do enjoy racing games in general. However, since I do own several other racing games, I'm not sure why I would put one of those down to play this instead. I really don't think the "flying humans out of the car" aspect makes up for the many other problems inherent in this game. Maybe if they come out with a sequel that has the same physics but better graphics and sound, it will start to come up to speed.』
(Diamond in the Rough) 『I find the complaint that Flatout is too difficult, interesting when that is one of the game's main assets. I find this theme of dirtroad junkcar racing rather lacking in the market compared to the overcooked city style street racing and it's good to see something come out that is a little unique and challenging. While racing, there's no wide berth for making moves, plenty of fast opponents that are hard to keep up with and many of them are surprisingly aggressive when it comes to fighting for position up to and including the last lap. I was rarely short on taking a win by half a car length or less. Best of all, the courses are not forgiving, making precision a must. Shortcuts are not shortcuts, but tests of nerve to not mess up a well earned lead.
I found the extra games like bowling and darts funny in a macarbe sort of way, but their appeal doesn't last. Camera angles, especially from the dash is lacking, and upgrading cars seems more of a natural progression rather than requiring any strategy. Keeping a garage of cars would have been great. On the otherhand, the graphics are fair, but the atmosphere and design is excellent. Tracks are true to their locale being littered with junk cars, tractor trailers for ramps, and roads that wind through rural landscapes reminiscent of the south or the northwest.
There are flaws to be sure, but if you like slim odds and aggressive racing, don't count this one out entirely. 』
(One amusing gimmick can't compensate for an unfinished product) 『A novel concept is generally the first step taken by any developer with aims at creating a new franchise amidst the crowded market of today's gaming landscape. There's been a lot of ground covered over the last thirty years, but there's also plenty of room left for innovation, and if you're going to stand out on the shelves, you're going to need a hook. In Flatout, that hook is certainly not lacking, (it's the only game I can think of that features... no, downright flaunts... a fleet of fully-ejectable drivers) but it falls into the very first pitfall in its way. This game takes that unique twist which gives it an identity and attempts to use it as a bandage to salvage what would otherwise be an underdeveloped, unremarkable, entirely forgettable title. What's worse, that single little identifying gimmick has an incredibly short shelf life and only serves to irritate beyond the first hour or two of gameplay.
Actual gameplay is in dire need of some serious polishing, with minor bugs resulting in big-time dilemmas as the races grow more difficult. As I've already mentioned, the big story here is the engine's ability to eject a car's driver following a rough collision, which gains points for ingenuity, but loses them right back for implementation. Sure, it makes a revenge kill twice as rewarding when you can actually see the opposing driver suffering a grisly death after you've forced his car into a telephone pole, but the first time you hop a curb and watch your own lifeless driver hurl himself through the windshield, you'll start to curse the day you thought rag-doll physics were the least bit amusing. Of course, no real dire circumstances result from your driver slamming unprotected into the side of a barn at 82 MPH, as you'll respawn a few moments later, but the act of losing a few seconds every time it happens completely derails your own momentum and often takes you completely out of the race. Playing catch-up is the real game in Flatout.
The finer details of the title's engine are never fully explained in-game, as I had to consult more than one online guide before realizing that nitro boosts are awarded in the middle of a race, depending on how many obstacles you actually hit, and how large said obstacles actually are. Debris only seems to award these bonuses upon the very first time they're struck, but remain on the track throughout the race. This adds a touch of additional personality to the game, as almost every car is seeking out the big landmarks like a guided missle on lap one and the track is usually thoroughly trashed and tough to navigate by its conclusion.
Of course, it must've been a little bit too much to ask for the development team to leave well enough alone in this regard, and sure enough, there's a flaw or two. What's destructible in one track (and thus, the object of desire, as it carries with it a small nitro bonus) is frequently rock-solid in the next, resulting in (you guessed it) a brutal driver ejection and, usually, the loss of any lead you may have accumulated. As I'm sure you can imagine, this results in an uncontrollable flinch every time your car comes close to a fairly-sized obstacle, for fear it will result in death rather than rewards. Even more wonderful is the way small items such as a stray tire or a dislodged bumper, which frequently litter the track after lap two, react in wildly unpredictable fashion upon coming into contact with the front of your car. Sometimes they'll bounce harmlessly off to the side of the track, others they'll hang out on your grill for a while, killing your momentum, and occasionally they'll result in driving the nose of your car toward the sky, which always leads to a terrible, highlight reel wreck, complete with cartwheeling car and airborne driver. Considering how frequently these things appear, it's not a matter of if you'll hit them, but when, and how kind they'll be to your car.
The mini-games you'll unlock while progressing through the single player mode, which were featured significantly in the game's promotional bits (and were probably single-handedly responsible for my own purchase) really aren't even remotely as much fun as they appeared on TV, and are limited at best. They really highlighted the "HAHA LOOK WE'RE PLAYING DARTS WITH PEOPLE" aspect of the game in these ads, but neglected to mention the fact that you get three tosses per game, with no option to play a legitimate game of 301, cricket or anything even partially entertaining. It's a straightforward three tosses, with the highest scoring player named the victor. The same goes for bowling, the long jump the high jump, etcetera. They're like the mini-games of Super Monkey Ball 2, just significantly limited, drained of all the fun and difficult for new players to grasp.
In-game controls are tough to think about without wanting to curl up and cry for a spell. Whether you're driving the cheapest car on the lot or the most souped up monster available, turning is almost laughably bad. Your cars don't turn, so much as they rotate and slide. Whether you're on a filthy patch of snow or fresh asphalt on a sunny day, your car handles exactly the same. Likewise, no matter which vehicle you're sitting atop, every single computer driver on the track is faster off the line than you are. I didn't think I'd noticed any change when I poured all of my race-earnin's into a new engine, guaranteed to deliver faster acceleration right out of the box, and sure enough, when I was driving the fastest car available with ever possible enhancement applied, I was still being kicked off the line by the slowest car in the race. It's always nice to have a handicap, I guess.
The graphics are average for the current state of the Xbox, which basically means they're the best part of this package. They aren't completely fugly, but they're far from the most impressive thing I've ever seen. Some of the particle effects are fairly well done, especially during and after a nasty wreck, but you're usually so preoccupied by your car's hesitance to take a turn that you won't even notice. The speed effects of using up some of your stashed nitro is cool, but doesn't really hold a candle to what Burnout did before Flatout's release. The terrains and surrounding textures are imaginative, but very sparse, especially when you take away the standard break-away objects that litter the roadways and are shared by all courses. This isn't a game that's going to completely blow away your impressions of what a game can do, visually, and occasionally shows evidence of being hurried out the door in a state of incompletion.
Where Flatout's visuals are mediocre at best, the game's audio is a downright disaster. The revs, grinds and hums of the cars, engines and tires are far too loud by default, and again fail to distinguish one car from another. Is that my car struggling up the hill, or is another driver right up my ass, ready to make a pass? Don't look to the audio for the answer. While most racing games contain similarly lame, repetitive sound effects, there's just something about what Flatout brings to this table that's a little bit more irritating than its peers. That engine is a bit more piercingly shrill than the one I heard in Project Gotham, the tires much more vague, hollow and shy of personality than those I heard in the most recent Mario Kart.
Flatout isn't a finished product. It is, at best, a great concept stretched far too thin over a below-average mullet-themed racing title. It's barely worth a rental, and certainly not worth busting out at a party, for all to enjoy. The graphics are unrefined, the audio is the kind of garbage that forces fingers to race for mute buttons, the controls are completely ridiculous, and there's nothing around that's driving you to reach that next goal. If you enjoy crap, or are easily amused by floating human bodies, you've found the promised land, but if you're looking for a breath of fresh air in a crowded industry, your holy grail remains elusive.』 『Flat Out Xbox』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Decent) 『I own the original and had played "Round 3" a while back, so I bought "Round 2" because it was a bit cheaper. In my opinion, buy "Round 3." I think it's a better game.』
(I'm Ready To Fight!!!!) 『This game is the best boxing game so far (that's until Round 3 come out). The graphics are great plus the soundtrack and the haymaker I love that haymaker. It's a very easy game to get hooked to. The best thing about this game is that you can do combos and knockouts out this world. You should get this game and you will love it. I got this for New Year's and it was the best of the best.』
(Great Improvement Over first one) 『I purchased this game because I enjoyed the first. The only problem I had with the first one was that it was very difficult to get high in the ranks before you were forced to retire. In this installment of the game you can just keep fighting, although with the slow loss of stats biting at your heals. The mini games to build your stats are easier. If you try to take the easy way out and to the auto train, you get lower results and can potentially hurt yourself, which in turn lowers stats. The gameplay itself is practially identical, with the addition of the haymaker. This is a more powerful hook or uppercut that takes more energy. A few well timed haymakers can turn the tides in almost any fight. Changing weightclasses and unifying belts is a great addition as well. Really nothing to say bad about this game other than it only has so much replayability. After you retire one fighter, making another is kinda fun, but you can only do that so many times.』
(More realistic than the first, but less fun...) 『..Let me explain. The first Fight Night game introduced a new realism in boxing video games. It had realistic characters boxing styles stances, and a setup in which you could choose to fight a faster paced style, or one dedicated to more power. In Round 2 you see an improvement in detail, especially in the faces of the boxers. You are also introduced to something new which is the haymaker...which is both good and bad.
The haymaker, as you probably already know, is a punch where you put all of your might in order to try to score a knockout. The problem with this game is that it is very much focused around that one particular punch...and power in general. Your bob and weave doesn't seem to be as effective this time around...and if one of your punches is paried...your arms fall for 2 or 3 seconds, pretty much guaranteeing the opponent will get a haymaker in. This makes the game feel very cheap..unlike in the first Fight Night game, where a parry leaves you open for a split second..which seems more realistic. Also, the movements of the characters seem choppier than last time.
There are other new additions, such as playing a cornerman, and tending to cuts and swelling between the rounds and the ability to chose between two types of training before fights.
In closing..if the gameplay was more like the first fight this game would be absolutely perfect. I grew tired of getting a punch blocked and standing there like an idiot until I got busted by a haymaker』
(Almost Real!!!) 『This game is a great fighting game. You can create a person and start a career! When you punch people in the face they slowy begin to swell and then a cut will open and they begin to bleed! Every time you punch them blood splaters off their faces. When you start off playing career mode you can make your own boxer or play with a known boxer. You start off in last place out of 50 other boxers you slowly work your way up to first place, then when you get to first place you have to defend your tittle! There isn't much to tell about this game, just that it has good graphics, good joyicestick control, and that its a good game.』 『EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 2 Xbox EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 2 continues to deliver innovative gameplay via the analog Total Punch Control mechanic, allowing gamers to throw multiple punches, block, bob and weave with complete precision and control. Packing in more fearsome punches, players can now dominate the ring with the all-new EA SPORTS Haymaker allowing gamers to knock down their opponents with one devastating blow by adding extra power to each punch. Every hit counts in the game with powerful punches inflicting dynamic injuries on opponents, and thus reducing a fighter's ability to defend himself. Players will also manage the boxers inside and out of the ring. Utilizing the new EA SPORTS Cutman, gamers can minimize damage on their fighters by helping them heal critical wounds』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (con artists) 『Buyer beware. The photo of this product shows a microphone and states it comes with a case and manual. My son order this and got a scratched disk in an envelope. No CASE, No Manual, and no microphone. Try to find someone to contact on the Amazon home page. Go Ahead I dare you. I will never purchase anything from Amazon again.』
(Who cares about the game) 『This is one of the worst games ever released for xbox, but thats not the point, the point to buy this game is that its the only way to transfer music and videos to you xbox without hacking it. So this is definately a primo choice for only 9 bucks. So if you want to transfer files to your xbox this is your one and only choice w/ out voiding your warrenty. Definate a worthy buy.』
(What a POS, do NOT waste your time) 『I was hoping to find a simple way to play mp3s across a network on the xbox. This product looked promising. I realized that it would not stream the music from a share but rather require importing, however I thought I would give it a try.
What a horrible, horrible product. I am giving it one star becauae it at least has potential.
Microsoft, listen up. This product sucks. Its interface is horrible, its too cludgy, doing simple things are not simple.
For instance, transfering songs onto the unit works with id3 tags. I hate this. Let it work with file names for frig sakes. I dont want to sort by album or genre, I want to be able to sort by folder!
Piece of crap. [...]』
(Avoid; Pricey and Disapointing) 『Terrible in almost every way. Not HD (as claimed), ugly UI, overpriced and poor quality karaoke tracks, difficult to use, and poorly integrated with existing Windows networks. This is a product that cries out for seamless integration with your home music library which the current Xbox deliberately avoids. The few karaoke tracks that are available are overpriced and not what anyone really wants to play with anyway.』
(Not what you would think) 『All the negative reviews...shame too...this is a great product to have FUN with. It might not be a great microphone or have a lot of songs but it has everything you need and more to have a good time.
Let me explain...
The microphone is not that great but it is good considering the price. Your not buying it for the microphone. Good Microphones don't come cheap but for the price this one is good.
The software itself is pretty freaking cool. It doesn't have a lot of songs for karaoke but you can strip the background off of the cd's you do have...and you can run this program without the disc so you can change CD's randomly without having to reload the program.
You can always buy Karaoke CD's from Wal-Mart or here at Amazon.com and use with it...it is cheap to do it that way and you can build an AWESOME collection of Karaoke CD's to use with this or on another CD player.
I paid 19.99 for mine and let me say for the price you can't beat it. I love it. I have used it more in the last few days than most of my games for X-Box.
Don't listen to those negative reviews, I am a musician (singer) and have been for most of my life. I tell you this product is worth it!』 『Xbox Music Mixer Xbox』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (We love this game!) 『I'm so glad my daughter asked for this game a couple yrs. ago. We absolutely love playing it together. :) It's a lot more fun than the board game. It's so neat having the interactive themes like dinosaurs, space, etc. And after choosing a theme, it's fun to see what your game&house/hotel choices will look like. Also, the spaces you land on all get new names w/each theme.
We usually play the Classic version where you all have different controllers but take turns playing. But if you want a very fast-paced game, you can pick the PARTY option in the game and everyone is throwing the dice&moving at the same time.
You can also change the rules of the games w/the choices they give you, or use default. Ex. You can have players win double the $$ if they LAND on GO.
I do wish the trade properties part was easier, but my kids understood it right away. So, that's key. :)
My kids&I would love if they made the game LIFE like this.
Hope you have as much fun w/this game as we have. Enjoy!』
(Another Monopoly Rendition) 『There so many renditions of the board game Monopoly in the console market that it may be difficult to figure out which is the best one. The new spin behind Monopoly Party is the fact that all the players can roll the dice and move their player pieces at the same time. Up to for players can be in the game; each player with their piece shown in their own mini-screen. Since everyone can roll and move at once, the gameplay is more fast pace and avoids the boredom of having to wait for other players (which is classic Monopoly). Another change they made in Monopoly Party; you can pick from five different game boards and players pieces with a theme like: sci-fi, fantasy and a few others. This adds nice asthetics, to the look of the game but does not really affect gameplay- so overall its just a weak gimmick. The gameplay still contains the same basic rules, where you buy, property, get chance cards or land in jail. If the game's creator really wanted to make this a better game, they should have included enhanced animations, user created rules and a bunch a mini-games to make it into a true party game. This is a fun rental because of its fast paced gameplay, but overall it is not worth a purchase.
So far the biggest complaints from most Monopoly players on the console is that the games are just fun for a short time and quickly become boring. Monopoly Party, is no exception it feels fun at first but then gets old fast. The whole problem with having board games translated onto a console game is the fact that you don't get to interact with your friends in the same way you would than if were to play the actual board games with all its physical pieces and cards. The exchange of jokes and engaging in conversations adds that social aspect which cannot be duplicated when playing a console game where all you do is stare at the television screen and press the controller's button. That's just my two cents.
Pros: +easy to play +four players at a time +fast paced gameplay +good graphics +contains basic rules +gameboard themes are cool +best monopoly currently available for consoles.
Cons: -gets old fast -needs enhanced animations -needs mini-games to be a true party game -minimal sound effects 』
(Another arcade translation) 『I've always been a big fan of board games on video consoles. Monopoly Party was next on the list, and while it was fun the first few times playing it, it does get old fairly quick. The NPCs if you choose to play with them are very predictable and annoying at times. I also found myself getting bored and clicking buttons to quicken the pace at times, primarily because the animations can take a while.
Some members of my household enjoy competing with each other for high scores, but the computer goes no higher than $99,999. Heck, I can get that in well under an hour of playing, and by that time I am too bored to care. I'll probably throw this game on once in a blue moon to kill some time, but that'll be about it for me.』
(Xbox Monopoly Party) 『My husband and I thoroughly enjoy this game. We rented it on a whim and couldn't stop playing. Needless to say, we ended up buying it in order to stop having to pay the rental fees. It's nice because we finally found a game we can play together and separately. The only DISADVANTAGE was that the standard US rules are not totally true. (ie. When you role doubles to get out of jail the monopoly rules say that you cannot role again; however, the xbox game allows you to. Also, you are not suppose to be able to go directly to a hotel without houses for a least one full turn; however the xbox game allows you to.) This being said there are also many ADVANTAGES in the game such as the range of rules you can have. It's nice to be able to set up the game as you would play it normally in your home and completely by your rules, however you may play.
This is a MUST HAVE!』
(Avoid This Game) 『I got this game to try to find an xbox game me and the Mrs. can enjoy. (She's doesn't have much patience for joysticks.) This is horrible. I didn't think it were possible, but this is more tedious than the board game. It's like playing the slot machines but without any money on the line. Bah!!!』 『Monopoly Partyis an intense buying, trading, building, and deal-making frenzy, in which every player moves simultaneously. Here's how it works: everyone rolls a set of dice at the same time. As soon as everyone rolls, everyone moves. Then you can buy property, pass Go, draw cards from Community Chest, and do all the other Monopoly actions you know and love. There are all-new 3-D environments, complete with animated theme tokens and even new properties. Choose from fantasy, sci-fi, prehistoric, ancient monuments, and classic game boards.』
『Pinball Hall of Fame was designed to capture the spirit of great pinball gaming. Working closely with pinball experts from the Pinball Hall of Fame, the developers created a fantastic pinball experience, with sights and sounds captured from actual tables. Multiplayer action for up to 4 people』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (STILL FUN, A GOOD LICENSED GAME 8.25 OUT OF 10) 『This game is just as fun as the PS2 version I played and reviewed. The gameplay still revolves around using golf clubs, hockey sticks, snowball guns, and various other weapons to take down demented rats, rabbits, gophers, etc., that have been taken over by the Verminator. Throughout the game you will avoid several laser traps, homicidal barbeques and bushes, steal food from houses, rescue the porcupine kids, unlock special features and minigames, and do so many other things in more than thirty missions of surprisingly good fun. You play as the characters from the movie; RJ the raccoon, Verne the turtle, Stella the skunk and Hammy are the playable characters. While the other characters (and a few new ones) are there, they are not playable in the game. The graphics also look pretty decent for a last-generation game as well. Now to get to the bad; first the camera needs to fixed (It's like I'm playing a PSone game). Second, controls need to be tightened (Why can't I use the second analog stick to control the camera?). Third, the storyline is incoherent and seems to be sloppily put together. And last but not least, the game is more fun on multiplayer. This may seem like a laundry list of complaints, but they mostly seem to drift away while I destroy things, steal food and save my comrades from the Verminator. This game should go down as being among the handful of licensed games that don't suck, because it really should.』
(friends grandson) 『Purchased this game for a friend to give her grandson, so I am not sure about the product but at last count he was having fun with the game and thanked me for ordering it for his grandmother.』
(BAAAAD GAME) 『Guess what? I won this game 3 times in 1 hour. The game doesn't even start where it should, it starts in the middle of the movie and has like 4 levels or something. I hated this game.』
(My kids call it the best game they've ever played) 『My 8 and 6 years kids love it. They called it the best games they've ever played. The movement and action of all characters are so cute and they usually made us laugh. The character have to fight with other animals to finish some "missions". However, they don't really kill enemy...just stun them by various sports goods, toys, or toilet cleaning equipments. No bloody screen and no brutal action. This game can be played alone (with a partner assigned by game) or by 2 players and control is not complicated for young kids. This game is rated Everyone(10+), but I don't think it causes any side-effect for kids under 10.』
(Wife's Happy!!) 『I usually purchase sports games but I was looking for a game to get my wife involved, she loved "Over The Hedge" so I thought we'd get the game. She couldn't put down the controller. Not since "Zelda" has a game caught her attention. For me, it is what it is, a fun game to play with the wife.』 『Over The Hedge Xbox』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (One of a kind) 『You will not find a game like this anywhere else. If you like the stratagy of CCGs but think a simple card game is a waste when playing a video game, try Phantom Dust. It has all the stratagy of a CCG with a more interactive and action oriented presentation.』
(Are you too an online gamer?) 『Ok for about 6 years, since online gaming was first intoduced to me, the majority of game I buy now support online multiplayer. Id like everyone to know I am a hardcore gamer, and have very extensive knowledge of most games and systems, im 19 and started with SNES back when i was 8 (yes been gaming most my life)
Out of hundreds of titles ive played, and another hundred ive heavily recearched, if you have XBL (xbox live) this is by far the best game ive ever played in my entire life.
The story almost made me cry, it was simply amazing, pure genious. Ive played through multiplayer about 6 times. Missions do tend to get a bit boring though sometimes because most tend to be too easy.
The destructable environments add so much to this game, as if you break a bridge and it falls on someone under it, they will be taking a nice ammount of damage. The sights and sounds are also amazing, to the point where you can get to the point where you can identify by name the skill comming at you by hearing and seeing it, adding something to this game thats rarely found in almost any game out there.
the online community is a bit dead, but what do you expect from a game that been out around 4 years. You will still be able to find a game though, and if you fill up your friends list with dedicated players of this game, you will experiance the full potential of this game.
With over 350 unique skills the possiblites are endless and you will constantly find yourself tweeking and testing all 15 of your arsenals, even a couple years down the line.
I have owned this game about 3 years.』
(Decent / Boring) 『I'm bored with this game. The graphics are good. The music fits the theme - boring. The gameplay is decent, but boring. The story is slow and boring. Buy this game if you like to be bored.』
(Phantom Dust, the best card game.) 『I am definitely not a big fan of trading card games. If before I played the game I read that it was a trading card game I would have been put off. The first time I played I thought it was an action game. It is very fun and always have great fun playing the single-player game and especially playing the multi-player game with friends.』
(It's an ok game) 『Dont get me wrong this game has nice grapics, and ok music. But the game is slow and the controls are a pain, most of the game is just not what one would expect. Retro 80's looking people basicly running around and getting lost. Its not an Rpg game like Prince of Persia, Fable, Morrowind, or Baldurs Gate. Which I took it to be by reading the back of the game and the reviews here at Amazon. It is not like Maigc the gathering eather. So Im not sure what it is. I just know that if your an major Rpg gamer you will most likely not like this game.』 『Phantom Dust mixes action and strategy in a new kind of fighting game. I love all the different weapons you use and even the calendar in your hideout!!! All of my friends beg to this game with me when they come over. The only complaint about the game is in story version, the captains evil mignon things are really freaky looking. But otherwise i give this game two-thumbs way up!!!』
(GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!) 『this game is awesome! it is easy to learn and is very fun. It is more fun when you are playing multiplayer, and has great graphics! The only drawback is that it has no intro or how to play window, but it is easy to learn how. To anyone who hates this game you are crazy and f u』
(It's Ok...) 『Didn't have the same appeal as the original 2D one did, but it killed about 2 nights of my life.. then it sat on the shelf to never be played again...』
(kicks @$$) 『this is the great game i borrowed it from my friend chris the level mansion is confusing but its fun its better then star wars knights of the old republic 1 and 2 the best is the white spy』
(Spy vs Spy) 『Ever since I was a kid I loved those two crazy spy chariters, now my buddy , And I can be them, its great. It also has a great singel player game wich is as much fun to watch as it is to play. Great Game!』 『Spy Vs. Spy is fast-paced cartoon espionage action. Taken from the classic rivalry that played out in MAD Magazine for decades, the classic comic strip gets a facelift with sharp 3D graphics and interactive game worlds. Become a White Spy or Black Spy retrieve top-secret information, while trying to outwit and outlast rival Spies.』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Great over all game!!!) 『Some great factors of this game I enjoyed:
1) Commentary done by Kruke and Kuipe, of the Bay Area SF Giants commentating team. This is a big plus for me, as I live here in San Francisco, and enjoy hearing familiar voices while I play.
2) Extensive minor league coverage. I love how you can play as a minor leaguer, and the teams, in season mode, show together, so you can sim/play all the games scheduled for play, including, MLB, and double and triple A, each and every seasonal day.
3) Great EA gameplay; EA is known for its great gameplay, in every Sports title they produce. This game has it.
Other than that, that is about it. I thought the graphics were lagging, at best. I notice the characters look "flat" on my television monitor. Anyone else notice this? I have around 6 baseball games on the current gen systems, and this game has the flattest characters of all my games.
I would recommend this game, at the current low price. It will never sell above $20 now, but I wouldn't pay that high of a price. It is certainly worth $10 or less.
Great job EA!

(Fun, but completely unrealistic) 『First off, I love this game and play it a lot. It's a lot of fun. If all you're concerned about is having fun, this game works for you and is cheap. However, this game is so unrealistic it's insane. First problem is the hitting glitch. Left-handed hitters only hit about 50% as well as righties. Net result? My entire lineup is righties, because lefties just get out. Making half the hitters in baseball(more than half, acutally, because switch hitters will hit lefty the majority of the time) useless is REALLY annoying. When Todd Helton, David Ortiz, and Carlos Delgado have combined for 3 HRs and you're 20 games in, you got a situation to look at. Second big unrealistic component is the trades. I put together a godly lineup that would make even Steinbrenner cry. Starting with the Red Sox roster, I got a batting order of 1. Orlando Cabrera 2. Nomar Garciaparra 3. Alex Rodriguez 4. Manny Ramirez 5. Magglio Ordonez 6. Vernon Wells 7. Todd Helton (even with the lefty glitch he's good because he hits like .320) 8. David Ross 9. Jose Reyes. O yeah my pitching staff was 1. Barry Zito 2. Pedro Martinez 3. Roy Halladay 4. Mark Prior 5. Josh Beckett, with Billy Wagner as the closer. Now assembling a lineup that schools the MLB heroes team is fun, it's also never going to happen in real life. Next is the disparity between pitching and hitting. Pitching is just so much easier. To get the game going at an even rate, I have to set it to pro when i hit and mvp when i pitch. Hitting and Pitching should be more evenly balanced. In the field, the CPU is insane. It makes the diving, shoestring, whatever catches you see on ESPN highlight reels about 10 times a game. And that leads to my next point. The announcers are just annoying. I turned them off a while ago. The game definitely has its weak areas. However, overall it's a fun game and i recommend getting it if you're not really intersted in simulating real baseball』
(Don't waist your time or money) 『The graphics are great. I'll give it that. But if you like to play a game where the opposing team gets an inside the park home run every time they hit a gapper then this game is for you. If a ball is hit into the gap the computer will score but you will most likely only get a double if you're lucky. I've been held to a single with a gapper and a really fast player.
The opposing team hits almost everything you can throw at them. Even the computer's pitchers get a hit at least once a game even if you make a great pitch. It doesn't matter if it's in a hot zone or a cold zone. If you pitch it, they will hit it.
Don't waist your money on this game.

(The most smooth game ever) 『Okay first lets start with good things. MVP baseball 2004 is awesome because it has incredible graphics perfect stats for all players and it has great but hard plays to make. One thing i dont understand it how does the com. make all these great plays and I make my players 50 more speed and they still are faster. That is the only thing that I disagree about this game. Sincerely, Frank』
(A MUST OWN BASEBALL GAME FOR THE AVID FAN) 『I recently bought an xbox and I am a believer that if you love sports then you must have baseball. I researched 5 baseball games before I bought this one.
It took me several weeks to get used to it. You will need to do some tweaking to get the realistic play you are looking for and you can do that through options. If you are a Bonds fan then you will find out that because Bonds refused to allow his likeness in any way that he has been renamed as Jon Dowd. That is ok becuase you can edit that player and make him into Bonds, pretty cool. As I was saying before you will need to tweak the game settings a little. I was playing it straight up in the dynasty made and had the settings as balanced across the board. My pitchers couldn't hit the zone and the game was scoring like 20 runs a game. After I tweaked the game play settings I am playing alot of 1 and 3 run games. It is really dynamic and fun as well as realistic. At first I hated this game and had I wrote a review after the first week I wouldn't have anything positive to say. Now that I have taken the time to learn it and adjust the settings it is ONE HELL OF A BASEBALL GAME. I love baseball and this is a must own game for your library. Take care and enjoy. Save yourself some money and buy it second hand if you can.』 『MVP Baseball 2004 wins the pennant for realistic baseball action. You get complete control over the entire baseball experience: from hitting, pitching, fielding, and base running to managing and coaching. Swing for the fences or create a baseball dynasty -- it's completely up to you!』
