Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Repetitive Button Masher) 『This game was so disappointing that it is the reason that I will not buy a video game based on a movie again. I know that this game was made by the Wachowski brothers while making the last two films, but the game feels pasted together. You play as wither NIobbe or Ghost an attempt to complete certain missions. rather than being in the mode of a first person shooter or a side stroller you are positioned above the player ala Grand Theft Auto 3, but the movements are not as fluid as in GTA 3. After a few missions they become mundane. I played this game for a few weeks and just had enough of it. My kids started playing it and I watched them pass the game, I was slightly excited to see what kind of a ending a game based on the Matrix , and all I got was a preview for Matrix 3. What a disappointment. Also, you may have heard that if you play this game you will understand the Matrix trilogy better, this is not true. Everything you need to understand the matrix is in the 3 films, this game was just a way for the creators to milk $50 out of us.

(Enter...Nothing?) 『The Matrix changed the way we looked at movies and changed american cinema for good. One would think that the game based on such a culture changing movie would be just as good. Unfortunately, that's not the case here with Enter The Matrix.
Enter The Matrix follows the path of two of the lesser characters from the movies, Niobe and Ghost. They pilot a ship called The Logos which is the smallest and fastest in the fleet. Their story is interwoven with the story from The Matrix Reloaded and somewhat into The Matrix Revolutions. The story is shown through live action video with the actors from the movie. All of it is additional footage directed by the Wachowski brothers. It's a good way to flush out the Matrix story and get a different perspective on the events of the movie and they're surprisingly well done. Too bad the rest of the game doesn't follow suit.
The game tries to split itself up into three parts. Driving, Shooting, and fighting. Unfortunately for us, not one of these categories work. The driving is stiff and the controls feel like I should be driving a mack truck, not a Mustang or Jeep. Shooting is awkward and aiming is a chore. Your best bet is to strafe back and forth and spray the area infront of you with bullets and hope to hit something. The game uses bullet time, but call it Focus. It's very gimmicky and not even worth using in the first place. Shoot dodging is pointless because you get hit anyway. Unlike Max Payne or Dead to Rights where shoot dodging avoids bullets, here you dive into them, making it pointless to do in the first place. The game does allow you to perform tricks like running along walls and cartwheels, but the controls are so cumbersome that it makes it pretty pointless. By the time you pull off the cartwheel you've already been shot to the point of death. And now we get to the fighting. The fighting in the game is awkward, stupid looking, and pointless. Your character performs the same combo over and over again. There's no chance for variety. So the fighting gets very old very quickly.
Mission objectives are very boring. Nothing interesting ever comes of them. The fate of the human race is in the balance and all Niobe and Ghost can do is go to an airport to make phone calls for a meeting and get busted there? Come on.
The graphics in this game are something I would expect on a Dreamcast. Not X-Box. Not even PS2. It's pretty sad. The game looks like an unfinished, demo build. Horrible textures, poor character models, and poor lighting all encompass what is one of the worst looking games in the genre. When you go into Bullet Time it just makes everything worse because it slows down the already horrible animation and makes everything that is bad stand out and make it worse. Just watch them run for God's sake. I mean...what in the blue hell is that!? The running animation is so awkward that it's comical. I was laughing as I was running from an agent because of the animation alone.
The sound in the game is nothing special what-so-ever. Infact it borders on boring. Plain bullet sound effects. Most of the guns sound the same with the exception of the shot gun. The music is boring and pointless. It's so minute that it might as well not have any music at all. It would have saved the developers some money.
Overall, it's a pretty bad game. Not worth buying at all. Maybe a rental just so you can see another story from The Matrix universe unfold. But you'd better be patient because it's going to get very frustrating very quickly.』
(Jameson Thottam staying away from the Matrix) 『Jameson Thottam staying away from the Matrix
Movie licenses... If you've read my rant over them in my Wolverine's Revenge review, you'll realize how sick I am of the clich÷Yin them. As soon as I saw the very first preview of Enter The Matrix, amidst the hyped-up phenomenon surrounding what was "undoubtedly going to be the best game of all time, just because it has bullet-time in". But straight away, when I realized it was going to be yet another "Third-person action/adventure featuring lots of guns" I was so disappointed. The Matrix is worthy of a lot more than a shallow action-adventure - I'm imagining a vast RPG/adventure taking players through the many ins and outs of the Matrix and real world...
Still did it anyway ~ Jameson Thottam ~ But despite my apprehensions, I began to catch onto the hype. Even highly-acclaimed European magazine Edge was saying the combat system might just be something special, so gradually I began to catch onto the phenomenon. I still decided to rent first...but predictably I completed it over two days.
Read on&Jameson Thottam If you're reading this thinking "what the hell is The Matrix?", I'm sorry, but this is not the review for you. Look at the many movie reviews of both The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded for story details. One of the main selling points of Enter The Matrix is that the game features over one hour of authentic Matrix film footage filmed especially for the game, with a story parallel to that of The Matrix Reloaded. It was every marketer's dream - a trilogy of smash-hit blockbuster movies, a sellout game and an accompanying DVD of short films, the (admittedly better than the movies) "Animatrix".
But the Trust is out there (Jameson Thottam) However, when I went through the game I want to clear up that I didn't find the new footage that great. I actually don't think they were filmed especially for the game, and seem more like deleted scenes from the film - there's little big-budget special effects, instead average conversations with minor characters. I ended up skipping through half of them as they were so damn boring! I think the designers made a big mistake by making the playable characters tiny supporting characters (Niobe and, erm, "Ghost") from the film - who the hell wants to know about the love life of "Niobe"?
Let's get back to the game --Jameson Thottam So, onto the game itself. At first play, the control system is incredibly difficult. Rather than having shoulder buttons to control the camera, everything is done with the left analogue stick. At first this was incredibly fiddly and awkward, but within about an hour it felt incredibly natural. Your character handles combat with Square, Triangle and Circle and jumps with X. But now onto the selling point of the game - bullet-time.
Chalk it up to Developers # Jameson Thottam # I've got to hand it to the developers, the bullet-time is superb. You can recreate the cool-as-ice stunts from both films with incredible ease, even in some familiar locations - remember that lobby scene from the first film? You get to play it in Enter The Matrix. The moves are handled by holding down a shoulder button and basically doing whatever you want with the other buttons - it's not tricky or complicated like, say, Tony Hawk's (to think of a game with complex controls...) and flows perfectly, just the exact way you¡¯d want it to. Hold down the button while running to a wall, and you¡¯ll run along it. Hit jump, and your character will flip off, shooting non-stop. Before you land you can flip and kick an enemy in the face, before grabbing his gun, hitting him in the head and shooting him on the floor. Eventually you¡¯ll reach the floor. Amazing. But of course this can have some major issues, and brings up one of the game¡¯s most critical flaws¡
Wasted time.... Jameson Thottam A lot of the time I felt as if I was randomly bashing buttons and watching a film on the screen. Now that is worrying. No matter how cool a game looks, if I feel I can pass just by pressing random buttons, there¡¯s not really any point in playing it. No doubt about it, the bullet time is incredible visually and you can feel really cool while playing, but there is no skill involved whatsoever ¨C no sense of achievement or reward.
As well as the combat, the rest of the levels consist of, er, running and jumping. That¡¯s about it. There¡¯s no real exploration involved, as a GTA1-style arrow directs you to your target pretty much immediately. It¡¯s probably the most linear game this side of Final Fantasy X, with little variety added to spice up the levels. Occasionally a brief change is put into the levels¨C the inevitable covering with a sniper rifle level, and incredibly annoying boss battles that verge from the stupidly easy to the downright frustrating.
But don¡¯t give up hope yet ¨C there are a couple of other modes of game added in as an attempt to add variety. There¡¯s quite a lot of driving levels that quite frankly suck. When playing as Niobe you drive, and when playing as Ghost you shoot other cars. Usually these levels involve you chasing other cars through incredibly blocky environments in some lame copy of Grand Theft Auto. There¡¯s good news and bad news ¨C the classic highway sequence from The Matrix Reloaded is included. The bad news is it¡¯s driving down a completely straight road chasing a car, and the big action takes placein a following cutscene. Strangely, as easy as chasing a car down a straight road might sound, if you even crash once, you fail the mission as the other car drives ahead ¨C but the game tells you five minutes later. The levels are marginally better than Ghost ¨C I suppose shooting cars in a first-person perspective is a bit more fun than driving down a straight road.
The End Game ; Jameson Thottam At the end of the game is an absolutely diabolical set of missions in which you captain a spaceship through identical tunnels being chased by robots. The environments are constantly exactly the same, and half the time you don¡¯t even know where you¡¯re going ¨C one time I backtracked through the whole level before realizing I was going the wrong way. As a finale to what¡¯s allegedly such a cool game, it¡¯s a huge disappointment.
Another gripe I had about Enter The Matrix was it¡¯s insistence to have the bigger action in cutscenes. Isn¡¯t this supposed to be the game of the movie, and not the other way round? I bought this game to play as the characters doing cool stuff ¨C not to watch overly blocky characters doing moves for me.
Hacking Systems {Jameson Thottam} There¡¯s also a hacking system. Dear God. Imagine the MS:DOS window, where you type in random commands on a hugely basic screen. It¡¯s like that on a supposedly ¡°next-generation¡± console. I¡¯ll be honest, this part of the game wasn¡¯t created for me, but I attempted to get into it and it¡¯s pretty much impossible without a walkthrough ¨C there is absolutely NO explanation of what you do or how to do it. Allegedly you can unlock secret bonuses and levels from this, but you should be rewarded in a better way than your ability to find walkthroughs or guess words.
End of the Day \Jameson Thottam So at the end of the day, Enter The Matrix is hugely fun at times with incredibly cool visuals, but loses a lot on the basis of the extra levels and the sheer shallowness of it all. If you treat Enter The Matrix like a typical bad videogame license, you¡¯ll come out happy, as it¡¯s one of the best of the licensed crop at the moment. If you treat it as the masterpiece it should have been, you will be hugely disappointed. Don¡¯t get me wrong, the bullet-time parts are fun as hell, but it¡¯s just too shallow and the trick wears thin.
Oh, and rent, don¡¯t buy. I completed everything in four days. Four. Days.
Ouch

(Fun Game, Odd Controls) 『I borrowed this game from a friend who said "It's really fun, but the controls are awkward" so I took it home w/ low expectations. I read the other reviews and can actually se eye to eye with them. Some of the action is just mashing A-button, B-button, Y...X, X, B again. But it's really fun to look at. Grabbing someones wrist and flipping them around in a 360 or jumping off a wall and kicking them in the face etc. is what it lokks like. It's also fun to play with a friend. Later on MAC's and MP5's and M16's replace pistols and fists. The controls are weird though- Left Trigger= focus (slow mo) and Black button= Draw/Fire. But besides that it's fun.』
(Driving vehicles awesome?I think not!) 『Now,I havent seen the movies, but I played the Pc version of this game and it took me 2 days to beat,First I beat it as ghost, tried the cheats out beat it in 2 days. Then,I played Niobe, without cheats, beat it in 2 days. Now,it might be short, but if you know this you can play over the levels(well I know that for pc not sure for xbox. The vehicle driving as Niobe was crapola. But using the focus on the guy that takes you prisoner when you are Niobe,it takes a lot less(I tried doing it without focus took me an hour.)But when in a vehicle as ghost, now thats a good way to get stress off from withdrawls from blowing something up.』 『Enter the Matrix features awesome gunplay and spectacular martial arts that bend the rules of the Matrix, insane driving and stunts, and the chance to pilot the fastest hovercraft in the fleet. Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 for Xbox) 『The program is nice and graphics are good except the golf ball is too big. The extensive ability to customize your player is a bit long and over done. The game play is easy and the putting is way too easy, you almost have to try to miss to screw up a put. I rate this program *** out of 5 for that reason. I have another golf program called Links for the Xbox that I like better. It plays much more like real golf and is much more of a challenge so I rate it **** and believe me putting with that program takes some skill. Others have rated Tiger Woods programs with disappointment because they say there aren't that much difference between some of them but since this is the only version I have, I can't respond to that comment and can't down rate the program for that. All in all, it's a good game if you don't have Links to compare it to.』
(Golf - For Everyone Else) 『I hate golf. I don't like to watch it, I don't like to play it, I don't even like to hear about it. But from the first time I played a Tiger Woods PGA Tour game I've been hooked. It's game that's fun whether you're playing alone or with your 3 best friends. There are several modes of play, all of which can be played with or without friends. This includes season mode, allowing everyone to earn skill tokens and build up their character. There aren't many ways to earn skill tokens outside of season mode, but there are a couple of modes that allow you to work on your swing and personal (i.e. you as a person, not as a game character) accuracy. Overall, this is a highly addictive game, but with the multiplayer options, it can be one for the whole family.』
(Fun) 『This game is fun and challenging. You are able to tweak the UI and make it harder to beat the players if you are playing against the computer. Tons of courses and golfers. The trees could be a little taller, because you can drive over almost all of them along the fairways.』
(Near Perfect!!) 『I've played all the TW games, and I feel that this game has a strong lead over the others. Team tour is awesome, and the game face is improved and cool. I bought the game a week ago and haven't been able to stop playing it. I recommend this game to any golf enthusiast!!』

(Fun for real soccer nuts or people without a life) 『I was looking for a soccer game that was a quick study and very fun out of the box. Unfortunately this game (like many in the EA Sports Line up) has become more about being an owner or coach then about the actual game play. You have to keep track of the players health, stats, injuries and still figure out how to play the game. The other MAJOR dig on this game is the stupid thing doesn't come with even the basic instructions of how to play it, for example, I had to search online to find out why everyone of our shots on goal was missing badly. Come to find out that you have to push the button and release just at the right point on a power bar located by the name of the player. Playing against another person is fun but playing the computer is a real pain and I felt like it was extremely difficult to get any enjoyment from getting beat over and over. If you want a game that's a fast learn and fun for one person keep looking. If you want to be a soccer manager or play fantasy soccer instead of the actual game this is the one for you!』
(Dont tell me how to play) 『FIFA Soccer 06 its a good game but it could have been so much better with just a couple of changes, and i'm not talking about things that have never been done before, but stuff they've done in previous fifa games. I remember FIFA Road to the World Cup 98 from Sega Saturn it had so many stats, options that you felt really in charge of the game. Not like FIFA 06 where you cant control your player when the goalie from the other team has the ball, you have to guess to what teammate you're passing the ball because they dont highlight what player you're going to pass, in stop balls you cant pass it to a player thats behind you nor pinpoint where do you want the ball to go to. And dont get me started about the goalies if they have a 50 or a 99 rating they stop all your shots, you can shoot 20 times and they stop you the 20 times but if they only have 1 shoot they score, it so frustrating!! i could go on and on with a bunch of little things that could make this game a lot better. It's like they didnt test the game with people who really know soccer, they took away a lot of great features of their previous games. They center all there energy in graphics, teams and players names and stats that i think they forgot whats important. This review can also be used for FIFA 06 World Cup the only difference is that it's only national teams and that they took some good features off but they improve some bad ones.
I've been loyal to FIFA Soccer but i'm really thinking of traying Winning Eleven, if they dont start focusing in the game and to the graphics.』 『FIFA Soccer 06 Xbox』
Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (Fun and Entertaining) 『Sonic Riders is the second game of the Sonic R series. No it's nothing like Drift. Instead of Running, you use a Xtreme Gear, a board that is powered by Air and other things of course. Since it's a racing game, you can't make much of a story but that shouldn't matter too much since the whole point of a game is race. At a first glance, Sonic Riders is a fast pace and may look a bit difficult to control but in reality it isn't. Instead, it is a game that is easy to control and the graphics for the time it came out are pretty good. There is over 10 characters and more than 10 different maps, that may be edited from day to night but still giving a different experience. what makes this game so good is his fluent control and the replay value to unlock characters. Mission mode let put your skills to test to gather items, trick to score, beat the clock, etc. In overall, this game is good and way better than Sonic Riders Zero Gravity. Give it a shot, you won't regret it』
(Feeling The Rush) 『It is hard to imagine the thrills that Sonic The Hedgehog has performed for gamers of all ages since his debut 15 years ago. While Sega has truly dominated in the status of Sonic's career, many companies like Sony and Nintendo have really started to capitalize with the promise of this great clasic character. Yet, most of the games are just truly about his platforming excitement, there have been a few in the wave of racing that tests Sonic and company to see who is the real fastest one around. Sega had that testiment before with Sonic R from its Saturn era. Now, there is another blue speed demon racer with Sonic on it, but is that just as fast&furious.
Sonic Riders for the Xbox is a wild and outrageous racer that goes beyond just running on the feet like Sonic R did. This time around, you're on air boards that hover in the air, and just more than amazing to Sonic's speed. The object of the game is that you can compete as Sonic, Tails, as well as newcomers Jet the hawk, Wave the swallow, and Storm, and many others through 16 different unlockable tracks that test your speed, accuracy and agility of speed and power. The testiments come through Story Mode, where you can play as Sonic and his heroes, or the rouges Jet and his crew, in a wild speed chase for the quest of the Babylon Treasure. There is also the mission mode that puts your speed, and control to the test in the thrill of the chase, and the abilities to pass certain requirements.
The graphics and sound are just amazing, and show and deliver the upbeat thrills of Sonic and company with grit and determination. The control is tricky to pull off at first when pulling tricks, and staying on the tracks, but it is easy to get used to. There are just also a lot of great unlockables such as Sega classic characters like Shadow the Hedgehog, Aiai from Super Monkey Ball, and Nights from the Sega Saturn classic, and just some great air boards too.
All in all, Sonic Riders is a fairly good racer, that has just so much to play around with. Nevertheless, I just wish there could've been a lot more in the thrill of the chase to play around with. Still, it is a great gamne for Xbox owners, or for anybody who loves the speed of Sonic.

(Not Always a Fun Ride) 『It's hard to recommend Sonic Racing games. You'd think that Sonic the Hedgehog would be great for a racing game. The Sonic games have been all about speed. Therefore, Sonic should pratically own the racing genre. However, in the past, Sonic Racing games have not been on the top of many gamer's list, and unfortunately, Sonic Riders isn't going to be high on your list either. It's much better than the previous attempts at a Sonic Racing game, but plenty of small things keep it from being the overall joyful experience you'd want it to be.
First things first, the plot is just about the same as it is in every Sonic game. Sonic and pals are on a hunt for the Chaos Emeralds. This time, however, they're after the Babylon Rogues to retrieve or something like that. A racing game really shouldn't have to have a plot other than to race. Not to mention it's very identical to many other Sonic games in the series. As you begin the game and all, you'll quickly forget about the storyline. As I said, a racing game doesn't need one to be good, and in Sonic's case, it almost hurts the game.
The gameplay is when I'm absolutely left at a standstill. It's great to be able to pull of some tricks as Sonic and company. They look really cool. It's easy to get into the gameplay, but just as easily, you'll soon find yourself frustrated. You race on hoverboards. Throughout each race you've got an air meter that you can use to boost yourself. This sounds really great, and it would be if you didn't have to use it so much. And once you've used up all your air meter, your character goes at it on foot. I wouldn't have a problem with it, but perhaps they should've done the air meter to the point where it begins to gradually refill. There are pitstops, but going to them takes the fun out of the race, and ultimately slows you down. This is Sonic, I don't want to go slow. Speed is what Sonic is all about. To make up for this, however, you can ride off of another player's turbulence, which will ultimatley give you a boost. The only problem being you lose control, however in some cases it's not a problem, and it's rather helpful.
Likewise, some of the track designs are poor. Combine that with a few loose controls and there's a problem. For one, taking corners is frustrating. Especially because they come so sudden, and sometimes you might be faced with a pit right around a corner. If you're riding on someone's turbulance while you round a corner, you lose control and ultimately go off course, and then you've got to wait to be reseted. Likewise, I find myself constantly going into walls while taking a corner. Again, this slows you down considerably. I don't have this problem in most other racers, and with Sonic Riders it's much harder to learn how to take corners. There's just no perfect way to do it.
There are also a lot of objects in your way. This is to be expected of any racing game, so I won't penalize Sonic Riders here. It does take a while to get back on track upon running into these objects and it uniquely adds to the challenge. However, the game isn't that challenging, really. Most of the computer players race in a fairly predictable manner, and while you'll end up having to use your boost at the beginning, you'll get the computers pattern down quickly.
Luckily there's multiplayer in this. And multiplayer is a very satisfying experience in Sonic Riders. It's a lot more fun to race against your (most likely) unpredictable friends than it is the predictable computer. The game also gets credit for it's unlockables. More extreme gear, and some hidden characters. Some of them classic characters that Sonic fans know and love. So the unlockables are kind of cool and worthwhile.
The game also looks good. There are times of slowdown, but that's no bother (at least in this game). For the most part, it's colorful, vibrant, and detailed. While some of the courses are frustrating, they've definitely got a good look and feel to them.
So to put it simple. Sonic Riders is for the Sonic fan. If you love Sonic, chances are you'll like this game. It isn't the best racing game out there, but it is the best Sonic Racing game out there, and so hardcore fans might want to get a hold on to it. There are moments of frustration, but not so much you shouldn't by the game. If you're more serious about your racing games, then Sonic Riders probably isn't for you.
The Good +Good graphics +The game is fast +Plenty of unlockables
The Bad -Frustrating courses -Predictable AI -A racing game doesn't really need a plot. Here, it doesn't hurt Sonic, but it definitely doesn't help the overall game.』 『Sonic Riders Xbox』

(The Truth about Dukes of Hazzard Return of the General Lee...) 『Hello again and let me be the first one to say that this was a step out of my ordinary, as I don't play alot of racing games. However I have played the other two Dukes of Hazzard games made for PSX1 and will not be leaving reviews for these titles. I feel in a nutshell that this game, Dukes of Hazzard Return of the General Lee for PSX2, delivered in all the areas that the first two titles failed.
As I stated I played this title for PSX2 and not XBox being that I don't even own an XBox... I have my reasons. I also want to clear up the fact the the other two titles for PSX1 are not bad games... they are decent... but this game is better in everyway. Now lets get on with the review...
The game itself is the Dukes of Hazzard in alot of ways, from the music to the sounds and even to the voice casting which is top notch. I enjoyed this game alot and still do whenever I get a bunch of good 'ol boys together that think they can beat me in an overland race. The graphics might I add are better than the original games for PSX1 which of course is to be expected being that we are talking PSX1 to PSX2 here.
The only reason this game received four stars instead of 5 in both areas is because it is very difficult. As alot of reviews have stated they took no liberty in allowing for easy unlocks or fast playing. I don't think games should be easy all the time but when you have to win several specific "missions" to unlock certain cars for multiplayer... now that gets kinda rough.
All in all though if you stick to the wheel and blast the horn you will come out on top eventually. I would say if you are or were a Dukes of Hazzard fan... pick this game up. If your a racing game type of person... pick this game up, chances are your into racing because of Dukes of Hazzard and I'm sure you will enjoy this game either way.
Until next time... :)』
(yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwww) 『this game is everything i expected it to be and more.thats extremely unusual given my extraordinarily large imagination.if youve seen the show, then you know what to expect, cop chases, dynamite, moonshine, crazy off road driving, insane jumps and GOD!YES! them daisy dukes!its loads of fun.theres even a racetrack!its just like the show but with you driving!theres bluegrass music, waylon jennings, voice overs and all of it!there seem to be a lot of redneck games out lately for the x-box.i sure am glad i live in wva or people might think i was a hillbilly.i mean, seriously, theres hunting games, the dukes,truckers,cowboys......................all ive got left to say is (...)!!!!!!!!!!!』
(this game rocks) 『Iloved this game.I spent a long time playing dukes of hazzerd and every second playing it I loved it.』 『Dukes Of Hazzard: Return Of The General Lee puts players into the shoes of the legendary Duke boys as they drive the legendary car! Core2Duoノートレビュー 's review (BE RESPONSIBLE AMAZON!!!!!!!!!!!) 『Like others, I should have read the reviews before ordering, and realized I was getting something absolutely different (xbox360 1600 point card) from what is depicted (xbox live starter kit). How Amazon could allow this misrepresentation to be listed in their available catalog for years after this problem surfaced is a disgrace. Please, fix this problem!』
(not as advertised) 『I was never sent what i ordered, they sent me 1600 xbox points instead of the xbox live. when i notified them they sent me a replacement, 1600 xbox points.....again!!!! their answer was sorry, we'll refund your money. never got the correct item. finally found it on ebay and they sent me the correct item!!』
(DO NOT BUY!!!!!) 『I should have read the other reviews before letting my 12yr old order this item for his xbox!! The product you recieve is not the product advertised! If you order this you will recieve (like everyone else that has written a review) a card, good for XBox 360 Live Arcade (3000 points)...it will not work with a regular XBox and you must have XBox Live!』
(I hate Target) 『Target...I bought this from target. WHAT DID I GET? A *^&%ING XBOX 360(WHICH I DONT HAVE) POINTS CARD!!!!! I am very furious at the company for making that kind of mistake. I will not shop online with Target(R) again.』
(dont buy this!!!!!!!!) 『when i got this product in the mail i was hoping for what i ordered which was the xbox live 3 month starter kit. but instead i got a xbox 360 points card. that not even close to what i ordered. and after reading all the review that everyone else wrote, i would say don't buy this product.』 『Ready to get your game on online? (Crappy, but a lot of muliplayer maps) 『This game is a little corny and a little crappy for an FPS in campaign mode, but there are a lot of fair multiplayer options. Destructible environments, many different weapons, tons of maps (more than I've ever seen in a game), many goofy looking creatures to choose from, and 1 thing the people of Bungi forgot: BOTS! Although the Bot AI is just random - they run around and shoot, run around and shoot. Always running, never stopping. Still, the multiplayer is worth a couple bucks in the discount bin if you find it.』
(horrible) 『this game SUX. I didn't do anything. I chose easy and yet you were still shot at alot. I spent so much time figuring out what to do, and shooting my gun at the same time. I didn't try multiplayer even i thought it would be good. THQ sux. luckily i rented it. you should do the same if your thinking about this.』
(Run-N'-Gunner that could have been so much more) 『I decided to rent this game because of the praise that I had received from numerous magazines about the original Red Faction. Now, let me tell you, this is nothing compared to the original Red Faction. For some reason, THQ had put it on cruise control for this version and instead of making it better, they had made it much worse. This game is a Run and Gunner, which I said on the title. If you are not into this genre, don't rent it.
Pros: 1. Walls can be blown up, dented, fragged, etc. (original, I think)
2. Solid Multiplayer Mode (up to 4 players with bots.... but can only have 6 playing though.)
Cons: 1. Plot is very stale (don't really get a background on Sopot (supposed "bad guy") or any of the main characters. And the plot twist in the middle of the game does little to make it interesting)
2. Cutscenes redefine the definition of "bare bones" (some take less than 5 seconds!)
3. "Multiple endings" is a joke (no real change in ending of game, just a change in the AFTERMATH of the game which is not affected by decisions, but by only friendly fire!)
4. Graphics leave much to be desired.
5. Grenade throwing is iffy.
6. music and sound aren't that good either.
Final Verdict: My belief is that this game is not worthy of being bought. Unless you don't have Halo and need a multiplayer game. But rent it if you wish to experience it.』
(Worth a rental....) 『I was eager to play this game because I was a huge Red Faction fan for the PC when it came out years ago. I especiall enjoyed the G-mod effect where you can blow out walls...especially on multi-play. So I had high hopes for this new Red Faction release. I was dissapointed..plain and simple. The gameplay was horribly short and uneventful. I enjoy a FPS that has a good story behind it...ala Deus Ex:Invisible War or even the corniest story lines like Return to Castle Wolfenstein. But they were great games! Red Faction is the type of game that only a person would enjoy if you just wanted to go around shooting stuff. Mind you, I did enjoy the grenade launcher and turning my foes into chunks of flesh...but even that gets old at times. The graphic environments are below par...nothing new or innovative here. The voice acting is complete cheese and the storyline that was so brilliant in the first RF incarnation is absent here. The AI in this game is horrible and is completly laughable. I guess that is why getting through it is so easy because the difficulty is a joke.
All in all, this is not the best title out there...but is not the worst if you just want to pick up a game that you can spend a few hours on. Stick with greats for your Xbox like Prince of Persia, Ninja Gaiden, Halo...and the upcoming Doom 3 and Halo 2. A rental folks...not a buyer. You've been warned.』

They only tacked this release on to get more sells, and it is the most terrible port I have ever played. The graphics are terrible, even for the system it's on, and the world is not streaming like it is in the next gen version. It is also really short, and the cutscenes are video files pre-rendered from the 360 version.
The next-gen game has an amazingly fun, hilarious bail system that requires physics processing too advanced for the original xbox, as well as some levels that are totally different and better in comparison. The booklet inside the Xbox version has no pictures, and has only basic information about how to play the game, whereas the 360 version of the booklet is filled with pictures, and has the song credits etc.
Trust me in saying that unless you are poor/cheap, get a 360 or a PS3 if you want this game. Or get any of the other Tony Hawk's games that are on Xbox. They almost all have better graphics/story/fun. Just stay the heck away from this load of trash.』
(Never have been a big Tony Hawk fan) 『Ive never been into alot of skateboarding games because the earlier ones just werent fun for me. But i got this one 2 days ago and havnt stopped playing it. The graphics are better than i expected, the gameplay is easy to understand. the missions and tricks that are necessary to complete to get further in the game arnt too easy. it does have its glitches, as all games do, but they havnt effected gamplay to much,』
(Super) 『My husband and 3 boys played this game for 10 hours straight...the graphics are amazing. Fun game to play with challenging levels and surprises around every corner!』
(Don't buy this game) 『This game is no fun at all. The goals are like the ones from thps 2,boring, and there are a lot of glitches. You're better off buying American wasteland.』
